The Labyrinth Pt. 6
New chamber!

New chamber!
The catalog of DOS games is full of visually impressive experiments that aren’t very fun to play. That’s where we find Xenophage: Alien Bloodsport, a game that is somehow technically adept but also horrifying to look at. It’s also maybe the worst fighting game we’ve ever played. Plus, it includes a playable Barney the Dinosaur, so we talk about the weird wave of wanting to kill childrens’ mascots in the 90s.
We empty the backlog! That's it! We're out of questions! That probably means you have to send more.
Gwen enjoyed The Afterparty. Gary took some levels in close-up magic. Kaye drinks cheeseburgers in Marathon.

Our (collective) favorite video game series is back! Nine entries deep and we're still having a blast playing as Leon Kennedy and series newcomer Grace Ashcroft. This time we're investigating a mysterious sickness that seems to be haunting the survivors of the Raccoon City incident.
Gary and a skeleton work their way through some knock-off Make Some Noise prompts. Also, the two most unpleasant minutes of audio in the entire Duckfeed catalog.
BioForge is an also-ran in the world of Alone in the Dark clones, telling the story of a man who wakes up augmented into a cyborg on an alien ship. But you use the NumPad to kick, so everything neat about it goes out the window. It WAS, however, featured in a book called “1001 Games to Play Before You Die”, and boy is that list suspect.
Chuck and Jimmy have a showdown in the house of law. Mike is not in this episode.

Is this the worst film ever made? Probably not, because it is batshit and weird at certain points. The worst film is probably more boring. This 1961 film is infamous for being riffed on by Mystery Science Theatre 3000. Would it be remembered otherwise? There's no budget, barely any dialogue, and Tor Johnson seems to be having a real bad time. Join us next time for an episode on Uncut Gems!
So many master chiefs! Halo returns in this RTS spin-off, where the war against the flood takes a slightly different perspective. Can you stop the primordial forces trying to destroy the universe? Probably not seeing as there's more Halo games after this.
We walked into this one completely unaware of preexisting stereotypes about professionals who drive white vans. Apparently Britons have thoughts. And as a joke game, this kind of works for a minute. So instead we talk about how to properly brand a plumbing company to attract a clientele that doesn’t really want to talk about it.
Time to do what Gary and Will do best: A completely normal Monster Blitz episode of Everything To Guppy.

Haven: Call of the King is a PS2 platformer that doesn’t want you to think it’s a platformer. It wants you to think it’s anything and everything all at once. That’s why they don’t want you to call it a “platformer”, they want you to call it a “FreeFormer”. Which is… hey listen, we’re really sorry about this one, a lot of the episode is dedicated to trying to figure out how to get Gary a wheelbarrow. We fucked it up. Give us a chance again next week.
