Why SFPD and Mayor Breed Won't March in Pride

Organizers of San Francisco Pride banned in-uniform police officers at this year's event because they say some LGBTQ community members feel unsafe in their presence. In response, SFPD announced that officers will skip the parade. Mayor London Breed and other city agencies followed suit.
