Episode description

Stephen Hyde was a professional cyclist for over a decade. Throughout his career, he won 3 Cyclocross National Championships, won the PanAmerican Championships, and many more achievements.

Last season, Stephen announced that he was retiring from professional cycling. In this episode, he explains why he felt ready to make this decision. He shares his experience as he coached at the Cyclocross World Championships in Fayetteville, and how this experienced motivated him to take on the role as USA Cycling's Cyclocross coach in 2022. He shares his vision for Cyclocross in the US, what he learned training with Wout van Aert, and talks about his new passion for photography.

It's always cool chatting with Stephen as he is someone who thinks and reflects a lot on what happens around him...I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did!
