Episode description

Have you ever wondered why a bike is painted the way it is? Why was that color chosen, and how was it chosen? In this episode, we speak with the person who is in charge of making those decisions. Mary Tolosa is the Color, Material, & Finish Designer at Specialized Bicycles. During our conversation, we talk about how they decide colors and design for the bike collections and discuss how the model, the type of bike, and the personality of the bike, and many other factors influence those decision. We also talk about how Mary is a lifelong learner who always seeks to better herself, and how those characteristics helped her to forge a unique path to create a career for herself in the field she is passionate about. Colors are more complex than we think, and during this episode, Mary opens a window into the world of color and design.
