#67 Tow or be Towed - Jeff McCarter
Jul 24, 2019•44 min
Episode description
Walking the straight and narrow until he was around 15, Jeff's parent's divorce took him off course. Drinking at an early age wasn't exactly good, but when he started using meth it got him down the path of crimes to support his habit and landed him in the house. He broke into pop machines and was in and out four times. That was enough. He got clean, set small goals and hit them one at a time. And with each success, his confidence grew. He took a mechanics class and started working as a mechanic. It turned out not to be the long term career he had hoped, and when talking to a customer about the towing industry, he became excited. Using a friend's truck and doing the towing, Jeff launched his business. It didn't work out with the friend, but his family believed in him and loaned him the money to get his own truck and now he's making a good living and taking care of HIS family.
