Growing up feeling like he wasn't "good enough", Kevin took the easy way out and blamed his parents for all his bad behavior. So stealing, selling drugs was a way to prove his lack of self worth. That landed him in prison and luckily he got in the PEP program, even though it was for the food and the hot woman teaching the class.
