Episode description

This week’s feel is betrayal, complemented by The Tower. What a vibe, eh? 💀

I thought this week’s episode might be lighter but I thought wrong!! I explored all sorts of betrayals in this episode and talked about how we often (not always) see and feel little b betrayals on the way to capital B betrayals in relationships. And, often, betrayal is a mechanism that frees us or someone we love from a connection that’s run its course — or an exit strategy that helps us avoid intimacy.

P.S. Here's the Thom Yorke quote I mentioned but forgot to read aloud in the episode:

"I grew up under Thatcher. I grew up believing that I was fundamentally powerless. Then gradually over the years it occurred to me that this was actually a very convenient myth for the state."
