The degenerative eye disease Glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness and affects more than 3 million Americans. Only half know they have it because Glaucoma usually has no symptoms until vision starts to deteriorate. Everyone is at risk for Glaucoma, from infants to seniors, who are most susceptible. Columbia University Medical Center Ophthamologist Dr.Lama Al-Aswad discusses who is at risk, how to detect Glaucoma through testing and options for treatment.
