A Holocaust Survivor's Inspiring Memoir

Holocaust survivor Rita Lurie was just 5 years old when she fled her home in Poland to hide from the Nazis. For nearly 2 years Rita and 14 family members were kept hidden in an attic by a Polish couple. They subsisted on scraps of food and lived in silence in the cramped space, fearful of being discovered. Now living and thriving in the U.S., Rita became a mother, a grandmother and a businesswoman. With daughter, Leslie Gilbert-Lurie, she co-authored the inspiring memoir, Bending Toward the Sun.
