Episode description

We've come to Texas to understand the loyalty many people here feel towards the GOP. Texas is one of the most Republican states in the US. So what's important to people here? How does it inform the way they vote? And what's the cost of living in a state dominated by a single party?

Fear & Loathing is a transatlantic quest across a divided political landscape. We’re travelling around the UK and along the US Presidential Election campaign trail listening to voters, journalists and politicians. Inspired by Hunter S Thompson’s 1972 campaign diaries, we are confronting the West’s burgeoning nationalism, examining what has brought us here and where we are heading. Our research will be used to create Squint’s 2017 production, Fear & Loathing. Follow our journey @squinttheatre.
