Episode description

This US Election appears to be being propelled by fear. We've come to Pennsylvania to discover the hope that prevails in the minds of some Trump voters here. What do voters in Pennsylvania need? Why do they feel the establishment is failing them? And what hope is Trump offering?

Fear & Loathing is a transatlantic quest across a divided political landscape. We’re travelling around the UK and along the US Presidential Election campaign trail listening to voters, journalists and politicians. Inspired by Hunter S Thompson’s 1972 campaign diaries, we are confronting the West’s burgeoning nationalism, examining what has brought us here and where we are heading. Our research will be used to create Squint’s 2017 production, Fear & Loathing. Follow our journey @squinttheatre.
