Welcome to Fan Zone, your bite -size guide to getting the most out of the True Fans podcast app. In each episode, we'll discuss an aspect of the app and hopefully answer any questions you may have about it. Plus, when you listen to Fan Zone in True Fans, you can earn as you listen and use your earnings to support your favourite podcasters. I'm Claire Wake Brown, independent podcaster and all round podcast enthusiast. And I'm Sam Setty, the CEO and founder of True

Fans. We're on the episode level page. And in the previous episodes, we've talked about the icons and fun things that you can do using those. Now we're going to look a little bit further down that page. to the tabs that run along from left to right, and that's the order we're going to look at them in. The first tab is show notes, which many listeners may already be familiar with, but for anyone that's maybe new to podcasts,

what are show notes, Sam? Oh, oh, oh, just before we get that explanation from Sam, while the term show notes is very well known, you will notice that the term we're using through fans is actually episode notes. And that makes sense because the notes are relevant to an episode. Show notes are something you create in your host. They are what a podcaster would do to give a guide to the listener or fan as to what's in the episode

itself. But they also sometimes put in things like links to their email, maybe links to an external support page, or maybe some other information that they want you to know about. Yeah, can be like the credits as well, can't it? You can put in the information of who's helped you with it and just, yeah, there's a nice description of, do I want to continue listening to this? It sounds cool. Brilliant. I think that's all we need to say about show notes. Indeed. There is nothing

more to say about show notes. Thanks so much for listening. There are lots more episodes of Fan Zone for you to get stuck into and that show you how to make the most of the fab features that this forward -looking podcast app has to offer podcast listeners and creators alike. We'd love to hear from you. You can send us a comment on true fans. More about that in the Fan Zone episode on comments. or email support at truefans .fm
