Everybody.
It's the Peanuts and the Cracker Jacks joining us in the chat. Hope everyone had a fun weekend coming off a big flag football win yesterday. Welsh team's feeling good thirty eight to six. We put a pounding on them. The playoffs start next week and that's where things get real serious at the end of the day. How was your weekend, buddy, anything fun going on with you?
Yeah. We had Mama Welsh my mom birthday yesterday, so we celebrated the Mama Welsh birthday, which was a great time. And we did a classic. We did a movie classic when we rewatched Missus Doubtfire which.
Help Is on the Way, Help Us on the Way exactly movie. It completely holds up. It's hilarious, it's fantastic, it's cool. I mean, it's just Robin Williams, National Treasure Actor human, just a pas saying. Guy Robin Williams, by the way, that when they did those HBO or Showtime a couple of years, really really good stuff there.
Oh, I don't think I've seen it. Robin Williams was like my I had two idols growing up. I had a sports idol, Jerry Rice was my was my sports titol, and Robin Williams. I grew up in the Bay Area, both Bay Area people, and I was telling my kids when I was nine or ten. This came. Missondelfair came out in ninety five, and I think it was right after this I wrote Robin Williams. I wrote him a letter.
I don't know how I got stuff. And then within six months he wrote back and I had a picture and it wasn't like you know, he wrote a personalized thing to me and autographed it. We don't know where it is and it is the devastating thing on the planet. I wish I had it. It would be my most cherished thing ever because I adored and loved Robin Williams, but it was it was just a cool thing to be able to say he wrote back, he was so nice to.
Find that same.
I mean, that's incredible rob you know, tell me watch that documentary. He was a fascinating human, such a great actor. The Fisher King, to me is his ultimate acting performance. That is just a fantastic movie.
But there were some fantastic performances or fantastic performances. I don't there.
Was some fantastic performances out there from the baseball fields this weekend.
Juan Soto and the Yankees again part of it to run Homer for him off Duvall on the ninth. Uh.
And of course Aaron Judge two singles, walked twice, stole a pair of bases. I mean that one two punch man. It's it's uh pretty stunning. The Yankees just continue to just pound it on teams. The Dodgers also spoiler alert, good at baseball yesterday. Gavin Stone win over the Rockies. Yes, the Rockies, but whatever. Gavin Stone's been really solid this year. You know, we were going into this Dodgers' rotation.
You know you had to weight on.
Walker, Bueller, Bobby Miller got hurt, Kershaw was gonna be months away, Yamamoto was very expensive. Glass Night was gonna like right the perfect spot there this year. But then there was Gavin Stone, who was free emichehn right. We all thought maybe Emmachihn going into the year might get that fifth starter job. But Gavin Stone has really he stepped up his game. And I know last year you were and a guy that was kind of not into Gavin Stone. Has he turned the worm for you?
Well?
Yeah, I mean one of the reasons was like its massive and had massive control problems. And the pitch that he got everything done is the changeup. He's a high end change up guy. Last year forty one percent rate on the change up. This year thirty five percent. The batting average against is exponentially better. My problem always with him is he's a multifaceted those four different pitches double digit percentage of the time, but it's still the change
up that's getting stuff done. The difference this year in what's happening is he was heavy four scene last year with some sing. This year he's gone a lot more heavy sinker, and this is what's been the positive. A change of in a sinker some similar characteristics. He's giving up weak contact thirty one percent hard hit rate. That's incredibly low. That's a really good low barrel rate. That's solid, but his cas are still not good, and he still
walks a decent amount. By the way, he also has a full run higher differential between his actual e raate and his expected So things have gotten so much better. And it's weird because I felt like you and I got all these Gavin Stone questions, should I pick this guy that guy? This guy Stone has been awesome, and you have the support of the Dodgers, and you know, expected stats be damned all that. But I do feel his floor is a little bit different because he doesn't
have the strikeouts that are going to cover him. He doesn't have a low walk rate that's going to cover him. It's just he has to be this efficient all the time to keep up these numbers. So roll it out, keep going with it. He might continue to do this, but it's a sub twenty percent k percentage pitcher with an almost double digit walk percentage, and it's all change up. It is all change up, so the league's gonna adjust at some point. So I'm a little bit weary about
him continuing. All year. He's been awesome.
He really has also awesome in that game too. Freddy Freeman going yard, hitting a home run. Bookie Betts leadoff home run in that game too. So look, the Dodgers are just, you know again, pound of the teams. I still like the Phillies in the series against the Dodgers, though, I still do. I just think Philly's gonna be a tough place for the Dodgers to play.
And I think that Philly's rotation is frankly just more dependable and ranger.
That's a pretty devastating.
I'm just saying right now, and I'm looking. There's time to acquire somebody else if they want to, or get more bullpen, help to more specialization, whatever you want to do. There's plenty of time for the fighting Phills. More on them later in the show. Brandon Fott pitched six innings, struck out eight guys, walk two batters.
I made a trade for Fot. Actually this week you and I were talking about my home.
Was it that one you tweeted?
It was?
It was where on Aconya and everybody else on my team got hurt in the last two weeks. And it's a keeper league, And I'm like, you know what, I was on a two year plan anyway, just start selling off pieces. So forty dollars Monaga became seven dollars fat and one dollar Kobe Mayo, and I think I loved.
That trade for you, by the way, I loved that trade. I know you were a little bit about doing it, but I really liked how that went out. By the way, when we get into the rookie lookie, literally just like happened. I think as we were going, I just got a text about it. There is a Oriole prospect call up that just happened. It's not Kobe Mayo who you just got, by the way, because he's still injured recovering from the fractured ribs. But we will talk about that.
Or is it this guy?
It is not that guy?
Oh, gee whiz oh man. Remember when everybody thought I was really good at baseball? Gee whiz man.
Now that was the coverage of my of my video last week too, was being like, hey, Jackson Holidays not getting called up. I didn't mean to derail it, but I like that trade because Emanaga wasn't capable. Really for you at over forty dollars, you get fought at a incredibly low price and fought. He has just been good on one of the biggest differentials again Eri to x
c ra but in the opposite direction. Here's a four three to two era, a two seventy nine expected with an almost twenty four percent k percentage under five walk percentage.
Yeah, I mean I made the trade. I did a year.
I did a deeper dive on Fodd and all the numbers. It's funny because like all the as you were saying, all the xcras were better, uh, you know, strikeout rates down a little bit year over year. But I kind of look at that Welsh is more like he is evolving as a picture a little bit, and I think over time that's going to raise back up. And look, you know, whenever we bring up fought. By the way, I've not seen Carlos live in the chat since this moment, so I.
Got mean, honestly, you completely even forgot about this.
I have Carlos.
He ran off, he came in and he in like Connor. He walked in like Connor on me, and then if like a knockout punch.
Yeah. By the way, here's a question.
I'm not questioned so much like I saw over the week again, Mike Tyson, Fight's not happening now.
I'm so upset. I was really looking forward to.
The Jake Paul, Mike Tyson, Yeah, I got owned or whatever because Mike Tyson's old and he's got a hernia or I don't know, something like that.
I know he like Tyson got hurt or something.
No, I don't. I think it's an ulcer he's dealing with or something like that.
Getting old man, I.
Heard a stupid I don't. I can't aid. I can't like Jake Paul right now because I get the ulpha right now.
Is really completely dispectful low of peece in my body.
Everybody's got a plan until you get an also in your faith.
I know it's I corrected myself. Everybody I said ulcer after I said hernia.
Somebody wanted to fill in for him. I'm trying to remember who that was, so I don't know.
In the chat, someone dig up Carlos from the Shallow Grave that Welsh would make Carlos, WE love you, Carlos.
Come back.
That's that small grave is also all Corbyn Carroll, all my Corbyn Carroll takes her.
And that's how here's an interesting one, Steven. In the chat is the question fought for Kyle Harrison. I dig fought and I have zero. I got zero chill on this one, like one hundred percent.
I mean you even said you were like, hey, the K's they're actually up year over here, but they just didn't take like a big bounce up. He's just become so much more efficient. This is why, I mean, six weeks ago we were talking about this, and this is why whatever it was three weeks ago, Carlos was, for whatever his reason, he was killing me about it because people just didn't buy into the stuff. But if you actually watch Brandon Fott, you can see how much more
effective he is. His sweeper is a dominant pitch thirty seven percent with rate, and he has just become more consistent in being able to throw the four seam and the sinker and they're hitting different parts of the zone. He's a great pitcher and the walk rate makes him even better. So fots around my friends.
Fought's a free agent and King's king pick him up if he's a league?
What are you doing?
H and cousin Donni's saying it's a publicity fight. I know it's a publicity fight. I still want to watch it. Still, I do. I want to see Mike because I don't think you could tell Mike Tyson turn it off.
I think there's people you can't.
I think you put Mike Tyson in that thing and you're like, Mike, this is just like you know, you just gotta dance around for a couple of round, think yeah, sure, sure, okay, I'm good, dance round. And then he gets in the ring. He's like my fouth ferocious and he just and that's it and he just gonna whip on somebody Like I don't think Mike, I.
Don't think Mike Tyson's capable of turning the switch off. Like I just know. I agree, But it's my only thing about Dyson.
I don't know, Like I did want to see him go Berzerko, But do you think, like maybe there's something to this. Do you think this is part of the bit or he like he really no, No, I'm sure it's sold already. It's been hyped all over the place. So fought was good to tell.
Marte two three for three with two homers in that game. Also good good day for the Diamondbacks, good day for Gunner Henderson three for three with a homer, two walks for him.
Not a good weekend for Chris Sale against the A's eight earned runs. Uh Welsh, What happened to Chris Sale against the A's?
What so one funny thing?
You know, you know Vegas made some money on you know, people were like, oh, give me the over on this, and you know, like he got he must have gotten. He smashed wagers.
He was talking about my buddy's Dennis Hidler with SIDS grabs. He's actually he's known if anyone knows Dennis. There was an article written up about him in The Athletic a couple of years ago at his relationship with Chris Sale, like Chris and him have worked together for like Sales entire career, and we were talking about Sale this whole time and how crazy and how dominant. And then of all the starts, the A's, who have one of the worst K percentages in baseball, are just one of those
funky teams that ended up getting to him. Sometimes right handers, as Dennis was talking with me about, sometimes right handers can get to him. But here's the deal. You look at Sale and you look at the overall numbers, they're elite of elite. This was an absolute anomaly. It's it's the only the second start this entire year where he's given up more than three earned runs. He's been an absolute strikeout king, and his numbers still look phenomenal. It's
a total blip on the radar. I buy nothing of it. You do want to watch because sale can get into these like sometimes these little downticks. But it's the highest K percentage he's had in five years, the lowest walk percentage of his career, the best second or third best expected era of his entire career. He's been awesome.
Anyone. I'm not gonna take too proud of it.
I'm like, yeah, like, don't take too much out of it. I think that's what we're saying. It's a bad start to happen, but what it was the a's so that hurts.
A little bit.
Speaking of good things, though, I was looking here for the month of May positive eighty units for me on the ROI and last week thirty up, so finishing strong. A month of May started out rough for me, but really strong ROI for me. Follow us over at bettingpros dot com. Slash wels slash shoe Baseball is tough, man, but I am. I got the little fire symbol on my app.
So that's good.
I which is good. Otherwise I got to go to the doctor. If things are on fire, you know.
Yeah, I'm trying to get that fire back. We're going to start back in June. I took a little bit for the weekend.
South African g telling us fought is only rostered in twenty eight point six percent of ESPN leagues. Ah, casuals. All the casuals, folks, That's what it is. Let's continue on here. So those were the headlines. Some other headlines
too about some guys going back to the farm. It's you know, when you're when your dog is not doing well and your parents are telling the young kid that you know, we're gonna have to send, you know, Scrappy to the farm where he's gonna live out his days and all that barrel Yeller, Camiro Yell Torkasen Spencer Torcas is gonna have to go live on a farm for in Toledo.
Going to a farm in Toledo for a few weeks.
He's gonna meet some other baseball players, have a good old time, maybe you know, hit some fung gos. But he is going back to the miners. And it looks like Edward Julian is too, which hard l for me on this one.
This one really upsets me. Julian.
I feel like, you know, he had that power spike in April, and that I gotta say concerned me because I was like, I really don't want him to be these guys to start trying to hit home runs, and I feel like he became what he is trying to hit him runs. So Torkosen going down to the farm, Julian going down to the farm. Thoughts on this Welsh talk to me about when we might see both of them back here?
Do we see them in July fourth? After the fourth?
I mean, I want to say, I feel like Torklsen could be back. You felt like there's a little bit of a turn starting to happen, but he just needs he just needs to start hitting for contact. I believe they brought up justin Henry Molloy, who you know, multifaceted guy that they can kind of move around. How don be honest with you. I kind of think it's more likely that we see Torkalsen before Edward. I'm not sure we see Edward Julian anytime soon. Thirty four percent k percentage.
He had good barreling numbers, but he made no contact and I still hold it part of hearts man. Why that guy doesn't get aggressive in early counts. He is the most passive hitter in early counts and then becomes hyper aggressive when he gets two strikes. And it's a horrible recipe. I don't care about your twelve percent walk rate. They got too many options there as well. Guys like Cashow has been good. You've got brooks Lee who is coming back into the miners. He's gonna be an option
to come up soon. They have too many options for a guy like this to be bad. So I would say July first, Torklsen is back. I don't think Edward Julian is unless there's a major, major triple A change.
We're gonna say this for later in the show. But Jerry brought up in the chat. Yes, Garrett Cole is pitching in Summerset tomorrow. You'd love to go see him. I don't know if you do, Jerry, and I'm gonna tell you why. Welsh was saying, Hey, you gonna go see Garret Coley's texting me, and I said, yeah, I think I might go do that, Like I got some stuff going on, but you know what, I could probably
pop over to ballpark. He's probably only gonna pitch what like two three innings of the most anyway around, I would say three.
Yeah, all right. So I was like, all right, you know, it's early night. Whatever, I'll go do that now.
Normally I could sit in the you know, very front right behind home plate for about eighteen fifty I know this because I just did it a couple.
Of weeks ago.
Went to the ball game, saw the fireworks. It was great time, had a great time. Amazing seats right on the home plate.
Set Welsh some video of Spencer Jones. You how much tickets are tonight for this game? Eighty dollars? Eighty dollars? We don't watch Garrett Cole for three innings right here, buddy, right?
No?
What eighty dollars for three innings of minor league game? Garrett Cole? It's absurd.
And you know what, they're gonna get hate price gouch. They're gonna get hate the price gouging that happens with this type of stuff.
Job. Somerset Patriots is a family friendly place.
They have funnel cake and dipping dots and helmet Sundays and they have a great environment. They do spinn and puke where people are on the bats and they're running around and they falling all over to place. They do fun things, they do giveaways. It's a great place. They do fireworks at night. And now you can start to be eighty dollars to watch Garrett Cole play three innings.
It's absurd. Come on, sumrcept Patriot, be better, as my daughter would.
Say, to get Spencer Jones and maybe Jason Domingez, which is pretty cool.
What we need is that's the problem.
I was like, you know what, there's a lot of guys worth seeing, right, I could go there, get a lot of footage for the Welsh.
Come on, we.
Gotta get you like the media pass, and then we need to get you ingratiated with that team. I want Joey p throwing out a first pitch over at the Summerset. That's wow.
I would not bounce it. I can tell you that.
But I mean why I want to hear in the chat what you think of this? What do you think of this price gouging thing? Like if the normal best seat in the house is twenty bucks, let's say, right, that's four x you're doing.
You want to go double? You want to charge me forty Okay, but come on, man, come on.
I want to hear. I want to hear from all of you in the chat. Tell me about the price gouging. Should I still pay eighty dollars? Well, it's start a gofund me so I can watch Garrett Cole pitch three innings.
For three and and to say trade them, and then you'd be like, hey, everybody trade him.
The best part is that it gets lit up like I would have been. It would be.
Amazing you doing videos like he's like behind you and you're like trade him, trade him, trade him. Now.
Somebody uh knuck and says I should play I should sing the national anthem.
So there you go. How about this SA just be better?
I mean, come on, like price gouging at the professional level of what it made me, let's find it's the minors double a anyway. Jackson Cherio two four with a homer three RBI. The thing's starting to pick up for Jackson Cheerio. In your opinion, I think they are.
I think they are at that we're actually gonna talk about the little arrow. Yeah, I mean, it's it's picking back up. The homer is really good. Uh here before we jump past it. I just want to mention the two call ups that happened today, and they had been the prospects stash kind of darlings for a little bit, especially one of these the video I did last week where I'm like Welsh, Where's where's Jackson Holliday Blah, Well
he's not up because Connor Norby. Connor Norby was the guy I said he'd been out performing him and might get the call up. Well, Horiy Mitteo, I don't know if you saw this, Horny Miteo got hit in the head by like Cedric Mullins. I think so, like in the on deck circle. He just whapped him in the head, and Horry Miteo's out and they're calling up Connor Norby, who's been a good power speed combo guy who can
play outfield and infield. And then the other one is Adam Maser with the San Die Padres is one of those guys that I've thought could get the call ups. Soon jumped past Robbie Snelling. Everybody is hurt on that stupid Padres rotation, Darvish and Joe Musgrove back to the il. Adam Maser is a guy that's gonna get that spot, and I think he is a pretty good spot start person. So both of these are reliable pickups in a in like the right leagues like I wouldn't go and must
add both of them. But if you've got deeper leagues or crappy bench, I'm picking up both Connor Norby probably a little bit more for the power than the speed. And Adam Maser I really do think can go five or six. He's a pretty slick pitcher.
Here you go.
Angelo in the Chat says Joey p pays seven hundred dollars for Taylor Swift, but won't pay eighty for Garrett Cole.
Yes, you're right.
Three and a half hours of Taylor Swift made my daughters happy. It was like a religious experience for them. That is a memory they will have forever. I will have forever. Watching Garrett Cole throw fifty pitches to a bunch of double A guys is not a religious experience for me or my children, are anybody else.
It's just him working his way back.
No, no again, you know, like that's imminutely forgettable unless I go there and he throws eight pitches and walks off the mound holding his elbow, in which case that video live from the ballpark would be.
There's a million pieces of great content you could do if you go.
Maybe I'll ask Blaine to buy me a ticket. I don't want to.
Yeah, that would it. Let's gets it's.
Not because I'm cheap. Obviously I'm not cheap. I'll buy seven hundred dollars tailor swift ticket, like, I don't care, I'll do that. It's the principle of it costs eighteen fifty for me to have the best seat in the house there twenty two on a weekend.
Come on, you could also not have the best seat in the house. What is the not bet, I didn't realize. I just realized they were like this elite.
Other neat there. It's like there were like sixty to eighty dollars. I'm like sixty eight would come on, like, come on, sit out there and no, all right, let's go three up and three down. Louise gets too dominating on Sunday. Nice to see that three walk, seven shouted out innings. You have up just two hits. Cole Reagan's good stuff for him, six strikeouts, one run, five hits in six and Rafaeld Devers Homer tripled and walked all against the Tigers. Three down, Ben Brown five Actually that rhymes,
that's fun. Five runs, six hits. Brian Bayo charged with four runs and six and a third in Jose Cantana four earned runs, and the Mets continue to met. Let's talk about the injuries.
This is fun.
I have a team that has Musgrove and Darbish on it, and I lost both of them in the same weekend.
Joy, I'm Adam Mazer.
I am fired up right now. So Musgrove gone. Musgrove is the one that really concerns me.
With the elbow. I think Musgrove could be done. Your thoughts.
I mean I had him in a still earlier this year. I don't think he's done, but I'm not interested in this year. I mean, he's still young enough that there's plenty of stuff to get fixed. He has been carrying this injury the entire year. So I'm I'm I've been out on Musgrove.
Yeah, I was concerned about him, but you know, I was willing to pay the price, and looks there were moments where you're like, Okay, maybe things are going in the right direction, but sure, nope, nope, no good Blake Snell I l after hurting his coin again.
Oh man, hurt Man, This groin is tight, bro, I like that.
I want a podcast with Blake's Snell and Mike Tyson.
I think that that's the podcast that we didn't know we needed that. I think we need What do you think why? I just want to put those two guys in a room and hear what they have to say about man. Man, this is crazy. Oh Man, groin is hurting.
Man.
You want to, you know, rub it down a little bit, maybe get some oil or something. I shouldn't make one of Mike Tyson.
He'll kick my name.
Mike. I'm from Brooklyn, You're from Brooklyn. We're cool. We're cool.
Ranger Suarez the thumb is okay. He's gonna make his next start. Don't panic everybody. Luisa rise though, on the other hand, came out with an injury. Mike pamic about him. You're not seeing Max Munsey anytime soon. He still got the oblique issue. I had a theory, Welsh, you ready, You're ready?
All right?
I feel like we've seen a lot of oblique issues in the last couple years of Major League baseball.
Would you agree with this? Uh?
Yeah, would you say it's more oblique issues than you remember seeing in your recent memory compared to five years ago, ten years ago, what you've seen the last five years. Sure, do you think that's the question? You know, I gotta get a hat made of tinfoil for this show. It's the only problem.
Are you gonna get it?
I'm gonna go get the tinfoil. Maybe I'll make it up for tomorrow.
So do you think that some hitters are getting a little obsessed with exit velocity from their bats and maybe trying to put too much torque, swing too much, swing too hard, whatever it might be. Do you think that is what's causing this epid and it is an epidemic of oblique issues in Major League Baseball with hitters.
Yeah, I mean I talked with the eno about the bat speed trend, and uh, where is it?
What is the oblique? Where is the oblique? If I had one, it would be up here. It's in the upper ribcage area.
Okay, So that I think that is the actual thing here. So the the bat speed trend, there is a correlation to the actual rib injuries, Like you've seen more fractured ribs and you're seeing some of that, you know have issue in recovery. The oblique is the same thing, I
believe I was. I was thinking it was something else here for a second, but as we were talking, like, no, that was the correlated bat speed thing going on right now that it is to pitch your velocity to Tommy John is oblique to bat speed and guys that are trying to swing faster and short. I mean, I think it's the length of the swing with the bat speed that really hurts. But yes, I think that that was literally written about we are seeing that players.
Guys below until we had those deeper stat cast stuff come in fout five years ago, right, it's about five years ago. I feel like that that MLB big launch of the stat cast data thing that was about give or take five years ago. And man, oh man, I don't remember so many guys ever on ils with obliques that we've had in the last Yeah.
I don't think they look at it like quite as like the X velocity, especially with talking with players. More than it is that I have to get to the barrel exactly. So bat speed is the correlative. I have to get my bat to the barrel quick, quicker, quicker, That's where your big effective stuff and get the ball in the air and all of those things have You know, we're seeing hitters, especially bigger hitters like Tristan, Like Tristan Cossa has had it and I'm just forgetting who the
other person was. But yeah, it is one hundred percent a thing.
Also a thing. Royce Lewis.
Hopefully we're toining. We're toining' toining tomorrow. I am, I am all over the place.
It's Monday. I'm having fun. He's gonna that's all, folks. He's gonna toy tomorrow. That sounds like a Jackson Holly. There.
You gonna a toy someday, major leagues and I'll be a real boy.
Oh gee whiz, this.
Is my villain, arc Connor Norby, this is my villain.
Could you imagine if like Connor Norby is like Barry's Jackson Holiday.
Dude, I mean Jordan Westberg, Connor Norby and then Hessten Kerstad and Jackson Holly are just sitting in triple A forever, it'd be amazing.
So good, all right, you know what else is so good?
The Best Bets of the Day with Joey b and the Welsh make sure you are placing your wagers over at bet three sixty five, use that promo code leading off bet five bucks. Get one hundred and fifteen bonus bets when you do eighteen or over. In Kentucky gambling problem called one hundred gambler or one hundred bets off. In Iowa, terms and conditions apply. Welsh, I'm gonna go against a strong trend today. Sometimes you gotta look in the face of danger and just spit right in its face.
Sometimes you gotta say, I don't care if the Milwaukee Brewers have scored more runs than anybody else in the last seven days. I don't care if the Brewers are eight out of their last ten. I like the Phillies today minus one and a half on the run line plus money plus one oh four. Zach Wheeler and his two era are on the mount.
I just checked MLB dot com.
They still don't tell you who's starting right now for the Milwaukee Brewers.
I think it's Bryce Wilson.
Is it Wilson finally getting the not so Wilson?
That's what I've been saying.
Look, I know the Brewers.
Have been great, but momentum is only as good as the next day starting pitcher, and Zach Wheeler is the next day starting pitcher today for the Milwaukee Brewers to look at and try to hit off of. And I know this like yellowch has some decent numbers off him in his career.
I don't care.
Wheeler's been unbelievable, a sub two five era. You're getting plus money on the one and a half run line. I think the Phillies can take care of business here today. Give me Detroit on the money line minus one fifteen with Scuba on the mound against the Texas Rangers. Again, it's a formidable Rangers lineup. I'm investing in the good pictures today. That's the theme of Joey Betts today. And of course Welsh's favorite guy, Tyler McGill over four and
a half strikeouts, so that's where I'm going today. Minus one thirty, So the juice is a lot, but it's a small number. His strikeout numbers last two games have been over seven each. I think is a good opportunity against the Washington Nationals today.
Parlay of the day.
You know, Welsh, I could not find anything in the same game that I really was in on today on the slate, so instead I just went for some easy money lines. Give me the Phillies on the money line minus two ten, the Tigers as I mentioned before, minus one sixteen, and the Houston Ashros at Verlander on the mound at minus one seventy two.
You put those three things together, you get three to one.
If the Phillies, Tigers and Aastros all get w's, those, my friends, are my bets of the day.
Welsh, what do you have for the people?
Alrighty, well you mentioned Tyler McGill. I am going to back you. I'm gonna go with the Mets through the first five, yes, Welsh, first five money line, even money plus one hundred. McGill has been pretty dominant. We've seen Abrams out of that National lineup. I just it's hard to back the Nationals. Mets are scoring more in general.
McGill has just been really dominant. So I really like the odds on the plus one hundred or even money through the first five, essentially in this case not backing their bullpen, which is disastrous, think you could tell Marte. So I'm just going with the starter. That's what the first five is all about. Backing the starter here and hopefully the offense getting some ren support, So that's one
of my favorites of the day. I'm also going to be backing the Arizona Diamondbacks through the first five on their money line minus won twenty. Ryan Nelson, I'm not the biggest fan of but they've got undecided pitcher currently going on in San Francisco. I saw the name. I think it's Spencer Howard. They might be throwing out. Offense is kind of red hot with the Diamondbacks right now. Ryan Nelson has shown some good signs. His last start it wasn't but he has shown some signs earlier this year.
And pitch two innings against the Giants giving up nowhere and run. So Arizona first five just the money line minus won twenty, really good odds. And then finally Matt Waldron and the San Diego Padres. Yes, uh, all the Padres injuries, it's not necessarily on the offensive side. I'm going to back them on the run line minus one and a half, which is big plus money. The Angels just not good. Tyler Anderson fine, Waldron been dominant offense
for the Padres. Gonna get going, Gonna win by two runs minus one and a half plus money two of my three plays technically plus money plays, but those are my three for the best bets of the day. Want to get a hot.
June going, Yeah, Look, coming off of hot may I told you I'm up eighty on the ROI. That's where you want to beat. It's all about the ROI. The winning percent is whatever, it's the ROI that matters. I'm gonna break Ellie de la Cruz out of his funk in Colorado. Let's go give me Ellie in Colorado? Where are you going for your home run call?
Today?
My friend, I'm gonna go with that Philly side you've been talking about. We're going to attack the Brewers. It is not a Schwarberfest, No, it is Bryce Harper. We're gonna play Bryce Harper today. Does again. If it's gonna be Bryce Wilson, that's a pretty decent matchup for him. So Bryce, get me on the board, get me closer. To getting on that stupid board. Good lord, it is June. I'm still not there. We are getting closer to does Joey go or does Welsh get on the board? What happens first?
It's a maxist of the universe, Jerry.
I gotta say, if Schwarber hits a home run, I'm gonna be pretty mad if you went the whole weekend without hanging home run, Like, that's gonna right off? All right here, Chuck's got a question. We'll hit this on the way out. Catch your rest of the season. Uh, Diaz Langole ears Patrick Bailey.
I probably still go Diaz, even though he has not performed at that level. Langaliers is the one that you would be willing. Yeah, I'd be willing to do the most of these guys you can stream. I would maybe stick with the DZ, But if if I did move, it'd be it'd beans all right.
I want to come back here tomorrow with another home run from Elie Dela Cruise. Why not too, Let's go Ellie, let's have some fun. We'll be back again tomorrow twelve thirty Eastern.
