We're gonna turn the mic up so we could do what our thing is. damn right strong style. Only six more before episode four twenty. I told you it's Thanksgiving Monday. I gotta figure out what we're gonna do, but we are going to have a good show for you as usual. Here on a Monday. We will look back at week number nine. We'll tell you what we got right, what we got wrong. What are the big takeaways that you can spit and forward for the rest of your fantasy football, your dfs, and your sports investing season. We will look at the waiver

wire and let me tell you something. There is literally news that broke in the last oh, I don't know, three four hours that I think severely impact the waiver wire run that will happen ahead of week ten. We'll get into that at every single position, all right. We will preview Monday Night football Dallas and the Giants. I got a couple of prop bets that I feel pretty

good about. I'll tell you about those as well. We will also check in with Danny and the Pit of injury and all that good stuff, as we you know, endeavor to put the fun in functional sports content. All right, let's get into the injuries. Okay, these are the names you're gonna need to know, These are the adjustments you're going to need to make moving ahead. After a week nine, Jacoby Brissette had a knee had an ankle. The kne

bones connected to the hip bone. It looks like they're saying it's not a significant injury, so he may be okay. And remember, um, listen, they got an interesting spot this week. I believe they have the Miami Dolphins, so maybe they can get through one without Jacoby Brissette. But they're saying it's not a huge injury. Adam Feeling Listen, he messed people up because he was supposed to return, and then they realized very quickly that he was not actually ready

to go. They didn't want to risk it, so he wound up just sitting on the sidelines for the entire day, eviscerating the hopes of people who started him in season long started him in DFS as well. They're gonna pull back what usually happens with people that try to go and then realize the player realizes they can't go. They're gonna be cautious about this one, okay, And as we know Minnesota is a contender. I don't think there's any

reason for them to rush them back. So if you have Adam feeling, I would not expect him in the next week or to Preston Williams. And this is a damn shame. This is a guy who I have been talking about as a unicorn um for a long time. I liked him. I had him in a stack last this week and that worked out well. But it looks like his season is with a knee injury. Listen, um head coach down there Floors was even very upset about it. DeShawn Jackson looks like he reaggravated that core muscle injury.

He's gonna have surgery. This is another four to six weeks. I think this is a big blow for the Philadelphia Eagles, not even if you are a DeShawn Jackson owner, but if you were other owners of other Philadelphia pass catchers, I think this is a big blow. I'll explain that to you a little bit later on. And we talked about our big takeaways from week nine. But something to know d Jacks will be out having surgery for that

core muscle again. And then uh yeah, just when you thought I couldn't get worse, Yeah, it can lean Bell m R I on his knee. We shall see. I'm also gonna tell you guys something. Remember how like I'm gonna do the Thursday show, right and I'm gonna tell you about It's like how these injuries are trending, the practice reports, all that good stuff. I'm gonna tell you right now. I think by Thursday we're gonna hear news

on one Cam Newton alright. He had the weekend to kind of like figure out what he wanted to do, I think, And there's some report out there right now. Listen. The recommendation for him is to have like rest, you know, rest for like a month or so, four to five weeks. They say that puts you into December. If Kyle Allen has been managing that team and they're in the hunt, they ain't going back to Cam alright. So I've said this before, I'm gonna say it again now with this,

they may go to I R with Cam all right. Um, this could end Cam in Carolina. I'm telling you it could. I don't know. That it's necessarily, but you hear more and more like, I think they're gonna push this decision because they like what they have in Kyle Allen. But I digress. Also, listen, here's another thing that went down. Oh yeah, the Browns waived Germaine Whitehead after ridiculous tweets out there. Do we have them up? Danny? Can we put up the Germaine whitehead tweets? Please? I know we

have them up. Can we put those up? Okay, we're working to get those, you know. All right, well, we're gonna get those. He he went after and I talked about the Cleveland Browns, right, I say, what happens when they're two in five and we hear about other people talking and stuff like this, You're gonna see him in a second. Germaine Whitehead, all right, literally started threatening fans and media members. Okay, like literally, Danny's gonna let me know when we have them, we're gonna go to him.

He's literally threatening fans and media members. It's absolutely ridiculous. So yeah, they decided to quit ties or cut ties with that. like twelve to one. Those are valid choices, okay, but the top four are very interesting to me, and I got something to say about all of them. Lamar Jackson is now a co favorite for an NFL m v P. He's at three to one. Russell Wilson also at three to one. That this is a small gap to two players that are at five to one. Those are Aaron

Rodgers and Deshaun Watson. I want to know, who do you think are the best bets for out of those top tier candidates would you pick as NFL m v P. Will talk about that a little bit later on in the show, and also listen this morning, I had a popoll on Make It Rain, and this is just a testament to recency bias. I asked who was the best team in the NFL. And you know, about forty eight hours ago, I've Benn be like, oh, my god, New England may go sixteen and o, oh my god, oh

my god. Yeah. Now thirty eight percent of the people say New Orleans, say San Francisco, and twenty three say New England. I think it's so interesting that recency bias creeps in, and I'm gonna tell you why that is the devil in fantasy football. All right. And by the way, I got a lot of stuff I need to cheer for tonight. Calin belage. If that's what you are going to do, all right, then let's get into it and the news that we're reacting to. One of the things that happened, all right is Mark Walton, uh, the running back who's been doing a little bit of work form the Miami Dolphins. He is out for the next four games for P E. D S. Alright, so he's gonna miss weeks ten, eleven, twelve, and thirteen. That's the entire rest of the regular season in fantasy. Okay, so you're gonna want to go ahead, Calen, Listen,

they traded Kenyan Drake. Alright, this is the Calin Blas Show, at least for the next few weeks. So while it's not the best situation in the world, he is the last man left standing. So I'm okay with that, and we'll get into that a little bit later on the show. I said, I've got a ton of potential for Game of Inches myself. Listen, I'm in one league and it's funny. I am fifty nine percent to win in one league where I'm up by seven and I have Brett Maher

against Michael Gallup. I'm also to lose in one league where I have Bret Maher. I'm up by thirteen and I'm facing Kwan, and then literally, if you check it out in the statute of Beats league, I'm facing my man, Jeremy McMahon. Burn one down, baby, spark it up. We are literally fifty fifty. I am up by twenty, but he's got sa Kwan. At least it's consolidated for me.

I need Brett Mahard to do some things. I need some field goals from Dallas and say, Kwan, you know, if you don't blow up, I wouldn't be that upset. All right, let's talk about what happened as we look back on week nine. First of all, it was Allan day right, all three. Allan's go ahead and get a win. Josh Allen, Kyle Allen, Brandon Allen, Josh Allen, listen. Still low amount of completions right before teen out of twenty.

I will take it. And when you look at the rest of the class from that draft, right, we're gonna get into the Jets and the Browns as well. At least they have an identity. At least their team is building around him, you know what I mean. So I'm not mad at Josh Allen. Kyle Allen is the interesting one. He goes seventeen of thirty two two hundred thirty two yards, two touchdowns, he gets sacked three times. But here's the thing.

What I was, what was proven to me, is that the egg that he laid against San Francisco the previous week was really a function of the San Francisco defense, not necessarily of Kyle Allen. Okay, Kyle Allen remains apparently a legitimate NFL quarterback. He has now had an eight plus rating in five of his last six games, or just his six games. The only game that he did not have an eight plus rating was in that game

against San Francisco. So unless you're going up against one of the elite defenses in the league, he is a serviceable quarterback. And I think, Listen, this adds to the notion with Cam seeing the specialist, he might rest for five weeks, which pushes him on ir Kyle Allen is gonna be there, in my opinion, for the duration of

this season. And then Brandon Allen. Listen, he goes twelve twenty only a D nine yards, but that was good enough as a game manager to beat the dumpster fire, the blunt guts trash that is the Cleveland Browns these days. I also, listen, there's two teams that you know my term the fantasy heard, and they are teams that, if you're a real status would beat Cipher. You know, I have always been on I'm like a truther for these

two teams. But let me tell you something. I think the Herd is starting to find themselves in a positive way in both Philadelphia and in Los Angeles. Let's start with Philadelphia. Okay, they get road win at Chicago, and listen, I gave you Jordan Howard last week as a waiver. I gave Jordan Howard as a prop bet as a revenge game on Sunday morning. I hope you listen to me, because it cashed and he goes nineteen eighty two and a touchdown. He provides the balance that the Philadelphia Eagles need.

You know how I rail against these one dimensional teams with volume quarterback throwers. It is Jordan Howard and to a lesser extent, Miles Sanders as well, who's also looking good as an ascending rookie. He gives them balance. And let me tell you something. I was down on Jordan Howard. This is one of the things I speeds may have gotten wrong. Jordan Howard right now has five hundred and

twenty five rushing yards this season. David Montgomery in Chicago, Tarik Cohen and Mike Davis combined for four and ninety four, a little bit less. But here's the thing. DeShawn Jackson was back, although it was short lived. Him just the deep threat. Remember I said, even as a decoy, it opens up the field, specifically the middle of the field. And I think that was seen yesterday because boyle boy did zach Ertz remind us that he is an elite tight end. Nine for one oh three and a touchdown

on eleven targets. But I think this is the key. You have the running game going, so linebackers have to be occupied with that. You have DeShawn as the deep shot back, right, so safeties have to worry about that. That opens up the middle of the field. This is the beauty of the fantasy herd Okay, I know that Deshaun is now back, gone for four to six ms because of the injury. But I think that they've opened up the middle. And now if Agila realizes he can open up the middle in the same way, look for

zach Ertz to bounce back in a big way. You had Jeffrey Sanders, aglor all Can tributing. Oh and yeah, Carson Wentz only throws the ball thirty nine times, not the volume thrower we've seen from him in the past. And then the Chargers do the same thing, right, And I've been talking about this, how they would force feeding Melvin Gordon. It got Ken Wizzon Hunt fired. Let me tell you something. Gordon, Yeah he gets twenty carries for

eight yards and two touchdowns. But Eckler is involved as well, twelve or seventy four three Hunter Henry's involved seven catches, Big Mike Williams involved a hundred or eleven yards, Keenan Allen involved too. This is the fantasy herd that makes the Chargers a dangerous team. They went a little too heavy with Gordon. I think they've corrected that mistake. And boy is that good to see because you know the Chargers are a second half team. Maybe I should hop back on. I told you I was not on them

until I saw something different. This is something different with the new offensive coordinator. Oh and yeah, the volume thrower that Philip rivers usually is not yesterday one of twenty eight sevent completion rate not a volume passer. Here's my other takeaway from yesterday, and we have it in the poll question with the m v P choice. If you listen and your real deal status with beat Cipher, you know about me also as the vocal minority. Right, look at the top three out of the top four MVP

candidates hashtag all quarterbacks Matter. Deshaun Watson at five to one. Yeah, he's an m v P candidate twenty eight. But what it is is that when it matters, he makes plays. You know what I say about these tier two quarterbacks who need everything around them, That's not what Deshaun Watson is. He raises all boats and make plays. Oh. By the way, Lamar Jackson a three to one co favorite hashtag all

quarterbacks matter. Against the New England m F Patriots and the Boogeyman and that defense that was scoring more than offenses. The Patriots were five hundred team with just their defense, Lamar carves them up seventy three a touchdown, runs for sixty one yards and two touchdowns. He wasn't forced into being the volume thrower, and he did it against the Pats. Oh yeah, but my actual m v P choice, And asked Jillie Dilley. I said it in the summertime. Look

at the notes, I said, Russell Wilson at one. Now he's the favorite at three to one. He's been my pick for a while. He just puts up three and five touchdowns. And guess what else? He makes plays. That's what this is about, people, Lamar Sean Russ. They make plays on third down in clutch situations. That's what you need. I wonder if Dak Prescott and Daniel Jones will do the same thing tonight. Oh yeah, and by the way, the fifth choice, Yeah, it's Patty Mahomes hashtag All quarterbacks matter,

all right. in the chat room. It's okay to drop the Chicago Bears defense for Pittsburgh. Yes, it is. In my opinion, I agree with what some of the people are saying in the chat room. I think it's okay. Here's the thing. In essence, unless you have like three defenses, you know, like San Francisco, New England, you know, maybe one or two others, all of them are pretty much matchup by matchup.

There are very few defenses that are matchup proof. I understand, dang Zy that you went into the season thinking Chicago was one of them and probably spent the draft pick to get him. I understand that, but at this point you have to realize, yes, they are the same as you know of the defenses out there, A good defense maybe, but not the defense that you wouldn't stream again. So I am okay with that. I also see my man Jeremy mcmahn in the chat room talking about what's call

in number? Danny give him the number he can call in. In our third segment, we can talk about it because I think we may have a hashtag game of inches on the horizon. But in any event, let's talk about what speed's got right, what's speeds got wrong, so that we could spin it forward for Week ten of the NFL and the fantasy football season. First of all, I gave y'all two stacks on what speed's got, right? I

gave y'all two stacks for DFS. The first one I told you, I said, I know it sounded crazy, but I said, I like a Ryan Fitzpatrick Preston Williams stack. Last week on Thursday, I was like, Yeah, the Dolphins stack is fine. Yeah, Preston, um it's magic to eight and three touchdowns in a victory. Preston Williams five catches, seventy two yards, two touchdowns. I think that stack, if you went for it, was just fine. But I understand he got banged up. You got Mark Walton also been

now being out. Kalin Blage and DeVante Parker are the guys who I think soak up that piece of the pie. The other stack I gave you last week in DFS, I gave you a Matthew Stafford stack. I told you I like the Detroit Lions putting up a high scoring game with Oakland, although I said Oakland would win, and that's exactly what happened thirty four. But Stafford four hundred plus yards at four oh six and three touchdowns, and Danny, you know, the wide receiver, I told him the stack

Stafford with was right. I play the music. Danny, Oh, Danny, here we go a Golladay. But do I stack it with the guy that had four catches, a hundred thirty two yards and a touchdown? Yeah, I had his overprop bed at seventy five and a half. Here you go. That's right. If you use the stack or played, hey, celebrate, that's what it is, all right. So as Stacks hooked it up. Thank you Danny down there in a fantasy

pit of misery. Dilly dilly to the man. We'll talk about his matchup in a hot second a little bit later on. Also, you know, I hate to talk about this, but I told you Miami would get their first win last week, and they did against the Jets eighteen. Now, the funny part is they now have the third pick Cincinnati and the Jets would be ahead of them in the draft. Here's the thing you need to drop the hammer on, Adam Gaye. I know everybody you've heard has

probably said the same thing. Ten penalties for a hundred five yards? Come on, now, right? There was no energy there with that team, no fight on the sidelines. Okay, um. There were chants on the road, people fire gaze and he's like kind of analytical intellectual aloof about this. He's not even with his teammates. Put the picture up, Danny of Adam Gaze. This is with thirteen minutes left in the fourth quarter. They're about to lose to a winless team.

Look at Adam Gaze on the nobody's near him. He's drawn up random plays. Where is he rallying the team, Where is he coaching people up? Nna not, He's just gonna draw something up. And here's my other problem. Thanks, you can take a picture off. Here's my other problem with this. And we we joked about it for like a month. I now believe they're doing risk to Sam Donald's career, in long term risk. I'm a Jets fan, y'all know this. I should have broke out my jet

my dammit dolled Jilly Dilley. But I believe Sam Donald is our quarterback for the next ten to twelve years. And Okay, he had mono ha ha ha. That's a four week blip on what should be a tenure twelve year career. Oh he's seeing ghosts. That's Adam Gaze fault. And I was like, yo, we need to do something about this. The offensive line is blunt, guts trash. They're they're not communicating, he's not being coached up. We are now damaging the psyche, the confidence and the future of

Sam Donald. Okay, the safety was absolutely crazy. Offensive lineman talking smack, absolutely crazy. They don't want to protect them, they don't want to adjust. I've been talking about what they should be doing with left Bell. They don't want to do it. They need to move on because I now fear that they are doing long term damage to Sam Donald. And here's the problem. You can say the same thing about Baker Mayfield and hashtag fire Freddy Kitchens.

And that's another thing Speed's got right. I told you what was gonna happen when this team was two and five. Well it started to unravel when they were two and five. Now they're two and six. You got players literally threatening violence against fans and reporters. We aren't allowed to put it up because the tweets he had were sold like curses, you know, but go check it out. You can figure it out. He's literally saying like that he will kill fans. Tell fans come meet him at the facility so he

can fight them. Okay, this is ridiculous. All right, this is Jermaine Whitehead. Secondary Come on. Now, you have Baker worrying about how many times he needs to shave to look right for the postgame interview. You have Odell beckhaman Jarvis Landry worrying about their cleats being told by the NFL that they have to change them. Are you kidding me? Just like Gaze is risking Sam Donald and putting the franchise back years, in my opinion, Freddie Kitchens is doing

the same exact thing with the Cleveland Browns. They need to move on. Contrast that with the leadership exhibited on some teams that didn't unravel and could have. Pittsburgh is back to four and four and Tomlin's like, I'm happy about it. Phillies back to five and four. They could have unraveled, didn't. The Chargers are back to four winds could have unraveled, didn't. That's not what's happening in Cleveland and New York, and I think the reason is leadership

and coaching. Another thing I got right, guys, Adam Van Terry is gonna cost these cults. I said it last week. I'll say it again. He missed another extra point his fifth of the season. Another field goal, This one could have been a game winner, his fourth of the season. All right, And here's the thing. They are a good team, all right. They almost had their third string quarterback lead them to victory. Right, you would try to talk him back out of potential retirement after week two. You need

to maybe let him go. These cults are going to listen. They are built in the kind of trenches to punch you in the mouth. That's the kind of team that is going to be in close games. And you can't have Vinitary missing field goals, missing extra points. I know he's a forty some odd Hall of Fame kind of guy.

I understand that the Falcons moved on from Matt Bryant, Right, he himself questioned if he was still, you know, could do it, if he could retire now after this for this Colts team that needs it, he does, in fact need to move on in my opinion. What did Speeds get wrong? Though? All Right? A couple of things I told you about the Jordan Howard thing. I think I got that one wrong. I also I got wrong a couple of things in Kansas City, Right, I didn't know

if Matt Moore could hold the fort down. He does more than that gets a win, like these other backup quarterbacks. I was fading Damian Williams to anybody who would listen, right, I said he's not a workhorse. I said he's not a three down back. I said, they're gonna go with a committee. Well, this could be the start of Damian Williams putting it in my eye. He carried the load for them, twelve carries a hundred and thirty five yards and excuse me and the touchdown, right, but Lashawn McCoy

only three carries for nine yards. They even had Darwin Thompson in there. This could be. There's a lot of times when young backs or when backs on the team start to ascend throughout the season. I talked about that usually with rookie backs. And there's a couple of rookie backs where we see this in play, right, Miles Sanders maybe being one, singletary in Buffalo being one, Montgomery and Chicago maybe being one. Right, Damian Williams could be on

a similar path in Kansas City. And I was off that, Okay. I was trying to talk about anybody except Damian Williams for the Kansas City Chiefs. Maybe it's time to realize that when the chips are on the table later on, when you need him in a fantasy playoff push, he could be the guy. And the other thing that I got wrong, I thought the Jags were like venerable home teams in London. I thought they would be better than that.

They were not able to run the ball against these Houston Texans, even without J. J. Watt Leonard four Nett only eleven carries for only forty yards. And I think those are actually important things. I thought they were going to try to run the ball. They could not. Gardner Minshew also sort of turning into a pumpkin in this game. Right, You wouldn't know it by the normal stat line. Right. He throws for over three hundred yards, but he did have two interceptions, and he did fumble the ball in

the fourth quarter as well. Those are now a ton of turnovers. I wonder we always say this about backup quarterbacks. They can hold the fort, Right, Teddy held the fort but overperformed. Kyle Allen overperformed. But on some level, this six round draft pick, when will he turn into a pumpkin? Maybe right after Halloween and everybody was using those mustaches, right, Minshew, Mania, you heard Maron talk about it. They gotta buy this

week along with like five other teams. They said they're gonna make a decision on this and probably notify everybody at over this weekend. I'm telling you it's gonna be Nick Folk. They're gonna go back I mean Nick Foles. I say Nick Fole because he's now in the league kicking ridiculously. Maybe he should kick for Veny Terry. But I think they're gonna go back to Nick Foles. All Right, I think it's interesting, to be quite honest, that both of the scrimmage total Zeke and sa Kwan are in the mid one teens. That shows you that these are, in fact, two of the elite running backs going at it. I just think that Dallas off the buy off losing last time they were in this building, knowing that Philly is starting to hit their stride. I really do believe that Philly sucks, that DeShawn Jackson's gonna

miss some time. But I believe they are discovering that Jordan Howard gives them kind of They can win both ways via the herd passing game and via the run. I think it opens up for zach Ertz and Dallas Goddard, but I digress. Dallas knows they need this win. I think they get it.
