We have a big show for you on a Thursday, Week eight of the NFL season kicks off tonight with the Baltimore Ravens and

the Miami Dolphins. A lot of people wonder who is gonna produce in this game where the over under is thirty seven and a half. We have a backup quarterback in Miami. It sounds like the entire Ravens offense is listed as questionable with the game time decision. I'm gonna tell you who you can play tonight from this matchup. It's not many players, Okay, maybe a defense or two. We'll get into that a little bit later on for my Thursday Night football preview. Also listen World Series game

to last night Instant Classic. Let me tell you something. As the Houston Astros beat the Los Angeles Dodgers seven to six in eleven innings. This was a game where there were more home runs than non home run hits. The Dodgers had one hit all game that was not a home run. And this year we talked about the

three true outcomes. That was never more in place. Then last night they said a World Series record for strikeouts combined with nineteen, a World Series record for home runs in a game with eight, and there was really, I mean, so many weird things happened. Also, remember, um, you know, we had a pickoff attempt that hit an umpire, We had a we had a flyball short hop and hit a guy's bill of his cap or else that came.

Could have been very different. But the World Series is tied at one as we head back down to Houston tomorrow. Also breaking news today, Joe Girardi is out as Yankees manager. As you guys, all know. I am, of course, Hey Yankees fans, why tip my hat to Joe Girardi. I think he got him through some of the lean years,

helped develop this new core. And I think that if and when in the following decade, or maybe even in this decade, when the Yankees doing fact get number twenty eight, I for one am gonna remember the contributions and the development of Joe Girardi. Also, here's what we're gonna do. Okay, I'm gonna give you my preview not only of Thursday Night Football, but of a couple of other spotlight games

that I think are very important in Week eight. And I'm gonna bring up something that is very important moving forward in the season, in the betting season and in the fantasy season. Something you don't have to deal with in the first month or month at a half of the season, but you really need to consider moving forward. I'm gonna let you know what that is. I'm gonna let you know who to play on Thursday Night Football.

And yesterday I ended the show talk about how we put the fun un functional Sports Radio, talked about the Venice Marathon. Hopefully there's time because I want to get into what happened there in that marathon in Italy. When I want to do is go around the league, give you some practice reports, give you some news and notes, and then I'm gonna give you my preview for tonight Ravens and Dolphins. Get it going in about an hour and we'll see if there's actually any points scored. The overunder for this game is thirty seven and a half, and I'll tell you where I'm

going a little bit later on in the show. We got the poll question up as always on Twitter, follow me ats bitten speeds. We're gonna find out, isn't it you know? Ravens minus three, Dolphins plus three over or under. We want to see what you guys think what's the winning par lay for tonight. But let's first go around the league. Listen. Head coach Sean Payton of the Saint says that that Michael Thomas knee injury is not serious. It's not long term. Remember he did not practice yesterday.

But I tell you, when the Wednesday practice reports come out, sometimes it's just ma ttenance. Sometimes you're just giving people a day arrest. You want to see in what direction are they trending. Michael Thomas got in limited practice today after a d NP yesterday. That means he is trending in the right direction. Expect him to play on Sunday against the Chicago Bears in Washington. Gruden says that, uh, they're gonna play the hot hand at the X wide

receiver between Josh Dotson and Terrell Prior. As you know, this is usually a term reserved for like a committee running back right, like the Giants backfield. They said, oh, if dark was the hot hand, if Gallman is the hot hand. In Houston they say, you know, if Deonta Foreman is the hot hand, will go with him. You very rarely hear that about a wide receiver situation. Okay, but what's important to note is they pretty much said, we're gonna go with the hot hand at the X

wide receiver. Okay, your boy Dame Martinez told you, guys, I think with all this drama between Terrell Prior and of course Josh Dodson, I think Jamison Crowder is set and safe. He's at number two. They call it the Y wide receiver and Ryan Grant is gonna be the work in three wide receiver packages in the slot. Okay, he's the Z wide receiver. What this means is that both Terrell Prior and Josh Dotson are gonna be you know, lowered in expectations because it's them that are gonna be

split in time. I also have a sneaky feeling that Terrell Prior is in the same doghouse as Kenny Britt over in Baltimore and what I excuse me over in Cleveland, and with the trade deadline approaching, m we shall see what happens. But for now, the company line is that they're playing the hot hand at the ex wide receiver. The Dolphins who play tonight. They are now expecting Jay Cutler to return from those rips next week in week nine. Can you imagine that like cracking your ribs and then

being back in action like two weeks later. I don't think so. Here's the thing, Matt Moore has an opportunity tonight, in my opinion, to officially wally pip uh Jay Cutler. If you don't get that reference to look it up. Look it up. You know it means that Uh was doing big things than Louke Garrett got in and continue to streak. That stood for about ninety years, and I think that if More plays well tonight, he could in

fact sees control of that job. My man, the manimal down there in the Fantasy Sports Dungeon is also telling me that we just got word that DeVante Parker will be out for the Miami Dolphins, that he is not going to go tonight. What I think that means is that you know a lot of people who are asking me on Twitter, what about Kenny Stills? What about Kenny Stills.

You saw what Kenny Stills did last week against the Jets, two touchdowns with no Devanta Parker there, I think he becomes a viable play because there is no Devanta Parker. He was limited in practice, gave it a chance, but as a true game time decision, it's game time and the decision is no on DeVante Parker. Also, interesting news out there in Arizona. They've been talking. I got reports first with Carson Palmer that he was gonna be like six to eight weeks. Then we heard he might try

to come back in four. Well, today squashed all that. The Arizona Cardinals have put Carson Palmer on injury reserve. This effectively ends his season, and to be quite honest, this might end Carson Palmer's career. The guy's turning thirty eight. I believe in December will he come back for a team that is not necessarily primed to contend in my humble opinion, when you have the Seahawks in that division

and you have the Rams also ascending. I also want to tell you in practice today, Manny Sanders did not practice with that ankle injury. Looks like it's trending in a bad direction for him. I don't know that he is going to be ready. I believe they have the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. That means you might be able to fire up Benny Fowler as a kind of

boom or bust option opposite to Marius Thomas. Here's some guys that were limited in practice may get the questionable tag tomorrow after we slapped the tags on people getting ready for Week eight. Danny m in Dola is apparently dealing with an hyper extended knee. He's gonna be a true game time decision as the Patriots take on the Los Angeles Chargers. Jonathan Stewart also is limited in practice. He's got a toe injury, and that was a new

injury that just popped up on the injury report. You know, if you listen to spitting speeds. I've said it before, I don't like people getting added to the injury report on a Thursday or a Friday. That means something new happened, and I would watch out for Jonathan Stewart. But to be quite honest, Jonathan Stewart's play is what I'm worried about. He has been gaze for the last couple of weeks, so his play is actually a bigger concern than that

toe injury for me. And also, Matt Forte popped up as a limited participant this after being apparently fine and back with a knee. That is a downgrade for Matt Forte. Keep an eye on him in the Jets backfield. It could be time to fire up my man. Boom boom, bilal pal pal. We also have some practice. Here are some people who were practicing. Devin Functious is pracracticing in full with that hamstring. I like Devon Funcius, I like Cam Newton, I like all the Panthers. This week in

a matchup against that bad Tampa Bay Past secondary. I believe they are twenty six maybe in the league against the past. So this could be a week for Cam Newton and Devin Funchs has been a viable option for him, and good matchups for Carolina and the other one. This is the big one, my man, Stephen. Can you Diggs? Not only did he make the team flight across the pond for that London game, but he practiced in full today. That is something that Diggs has not done in about

two weeks. Okay, so things are looking up. Maybe Stefon Diggs gets back into the mix and gains the Cleveland Browns this week. Honestly though, I'd set them this week, and I don't mean about fantasy. I mean if I was the Minnesota Vikings, I would see him this week because you gotta figure that they can beat the Cleveland Browns even without step On Diggs. They've got the London game and then they have the buy in week nine. I've seen Stefon Diggs try to play through this injury

before and he was far less effective. If I'm the Minnesota Vikings, if I'm Mike Zimmer, I'm saying, you know, Stefan sit this one out. We think we could beat the Browns without you. Let's give you another two full weeks to get healthy for the stretch run as they look to contend in the NFC North. Ken you digs it all right, Let's keep it going here on the fantasy Freestyle, I gotta give you my preview for Thursday night football. Ravens are three point favorites at home. But

here's the number to look at. The total for this game is thirty seven and a half. That means Vegas doesn't expect many points to be scored. I also don't expect many points to be scored. We're talking about two teams that I have not believed in their offense. This Ravens offense is blunt, guts trash. I've been saying that for a long time. Flacco won a game with something like eight completions earlier in the year. You got Jeremy Macklin questionable, you got Bent Watson questionable, you got um

who else do we got? We got Mike Wallace questionable, you got Brochard Perriman questionable. What all that means to me? You know who's the last man standing? It's Buck Allen. Okay, I think Buck Allen could be in line for an interesting night. I think he's gonna get some production in the Run game because Alice Collins is part of it, but he doesn't have a he doesn't have a lock on that job. I think Buck Allen get you a

little bit of love in the Run game. But you know Joe Flacco is gonna check it down to Buck Allen a ton especially if Wallace and Macklyn or Watson don't go. I think Buck Allen can get you eight targets tonight. I think he can get you six catches tonight, especially in PPR settings. I love me some Buck Allen. On the Dolphin side, I was gonna say this was gonna be all Jarvis Landry all the time, right, And that was because I thought I was predicting. I was

anticipating that uh DeVante Parker would not play. Now that we have that official word, I even like it some more. Okay. I think Kenny Stills is take the top off the guy. He's the big play threat, right, He's gonna be the one who gets maybe the sixth yard touchdown. But if you're in a PPR setting, I love me some Jarvis Landry.

I also believe that because they have the backup in and Matt Moore, this could be a night they turned in hand the rock to j A g I E about twenty five times, okay, And there are just not many running backs in the NFL these days that get five carries a game. I like j A g I E to produce. I like j A g I E to get into the end zone as well. And here's the thing. I told you there would be three guys I like they would Jagi E, Jarvis Landry, and Buck Allen.

I told you that there are three players that I like. You know what else I like? I like both of these defenses. One of the things you gotta read is the over under total for the game. And if this tale total is that thirty seven and a half. And right now on our poll, most people are actually betting the under. Right now, six of our people think it's under. So what are we talking about here, Seve and Team

fourteen game. I like both defenses. And remember two weeks ago the Baltimore Ravens also had not one, but two special team return touchdowns, So I think that could be a viable play. Both defenses alive and give me Buck Allen. Tonight when we come back here on the Fantasy Freestyle, I'm gonna tell you something you really need to start considering on a week two week basis if you're gonna try and win some cash. and the Ravens toenate. We gotta pull question up in right now, actually the biggest thing ist of you like the Dolphins plus three and it to go under thirties seven and a half percent of you like the Dolphins, and the over of you like the Ravens and the under, and twelve percent of you like the Ravens and the over.

Here's the thing about Thursday Night Football. You know the trend out there on the betting line as you always want to support the home team on Thursday Night Football because if you think about it, the road team they're usually you know, you get an off day, usually on a Tuesday, back at practice on a Wednesday, they have to travel to the site. They don't really get their off day, and then they gotta go right back into the multiple car crash action that is an NFL game.

So one of the trends out there is to always fade the road team on Monday Night Football. But I mean, excuse me, on Thursday Night. But it looks like right now, sixty eight percent of you like the Dolphins catching the three points. This could be a low scoring game. Over under is only thirty seven and a half, and three points means a lot. If a game total is only at thirty seven, right try to do the math and find football scores that will be that in balance and

stay under thirty seven. You know, we're talking about fourteen games here. We're talking about sixteen fourteen games. Here, we're talking about ten games here. Those are tight games, and in tight games three points does in fact matter. Let me tell you about this other trend that I think now starts to be in play because we have reached this part of the season. Okay, you will start. You're gonna start seeing in matchups teams with a dramatic difference

in rest, a rest disparity. I bring that up because of Thursday night football is one of the things we say, we fade the home the road team on Thursday Night football. But here's the thing. The rest disparity is now going to start to be more and more. We have these Thursday night games, right and then after Thursday you have

what they call like the mini by. And if you win on Thursday night football and you don't have having a ten game days until you play again, a lot of people like to go with that kind of trend as well. And uh, look at the rest disparity, and you gotta have a lot of teams coming off by. You did not have the bye weeks early on in the season, except for, of course, the Bucks and the Dolphins because of the response to Hurricane Maria. But now this week, week eight, you have six teams coming off

a bye. Next week, week nine, you have six teams that are gonna be on a bye. Later on in the season, you're gonna start to see games where teams are playing, you know, a team coming off of bye. And I think that's a big thing to note. Okay, and it is in play in a couple of games this week. Let me tell you where I think it comes in to play the most. I think it comes in to play the most. On Sunday Night Football, the

Detroit Lions are hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers. Okay, first of all, you know, if you watch or listen to the Fantasy freestyle hashtag dropping stats over beats, you know I love the home dogs, all right. The Detroit Lions are at home, getting three or three and a half points depending on the shop where you look. They're getting three three and a half points against the Pittsburgh Steelers at home, So

you know I already love the home dog. Right. Here's the other thing, Pittsburgh they had you know they had a game last week, right a physical game, a divisional game against the Cincinnati Bengals, one of those rough, rock'am sock'em kind of rivalries many people believe the best rivalry in all of the NFL. Right now, what was the Detroit Lions doing when that game was going on. They

were chilling, they were resting. They got to stay at home also, so they have the bye week, are hosting a team traveling to them, and they're a home dog. I think that is a good play. Many people are gonna be on Pittsburgh because all of a sudden, people think that Levan Bell is carrying them and all of those not me. I like Detroit in that game. I do think, however, this is gonna be for Pittsburgh side Antonio Brown and Levy on Bell. I do not necessarily

believe in the juju just yet. I don't know if I buy juju Smith Schuster just yet. I think Pittsburgh is gonna try and get it done on the backs of Levan Bell and Antonio Brown. But if you're betting this game, and I'm gonna talk about a little bit tomorrow, when you know, I give you my home dogs and the double digit lines. But this is prime because of the rest disparity. Okay. Also, you got the teams with the mini by right. Check out Kansas City. They played

on Thursday Night football, right last week. They get to host Denver this week on Monday Night Football. So after last week, they have eleven days to play. And and the Denver Broncos had a road game against the Chargers last week, now have another road game. I never like teams with back to back road games, second road game in a row, and they are facing a team with a rest disparity. I think that helps the Kansas City

Chiefs as well. One of the other games I really want to talk to you about real quick before we open up the phone lines, and there is some room on the phone lines. Okay, So hollow at me at eight four four eight four three six eight seven nine. After this preview, I'm gonna tell you know, we're gonna open them up, and I'm gonna try and help you win your leagues and win that cash. I think the Raiders Bills game is very interesting. Okay. Raiders travel to

Buffalo to take on the Bills. The Bills are two and a half point favorites. This game is a forty five and a half total. Okay, I think it's interesting the Raiders are going up against what many people believe there's a good defense. Remember the Buffalo Bills, or were at least going into last week number one in the NFL,

right in terms of points per game. They gave up about twenty seven against Tampa, so that may have changed a little bit, but overall a good defense when you look a little bit closer, though, if you look at this Bill's defense, their seventh in the league against the run, and they are twenty seven in the league against the past. So everyone knows my feelings on a Maori Cooper. We even played that rap by Young cos the Effect yesterday. I think this is a game where Oakland is going

to have to attack Buffalo via the past. Okay. I think remember no Beast Mode either, Okay, he was suspended for this game. I think you fire up. I think you fire up Derek Carr. I think you fire up definitely, Michael Crabtree. I like crab Tree a lot in this game. But the guy I want to tell you about, and he's a low price pet play on dfs this week, it's Jalen Richard. Okay, beast mode isn't there. It's Allen Richard. I like Jalen Richard because he's the back that gets

work in the passing game as well. And because of what I just said, Bill seventh first to run verse the past, I think they're gonna have their passing down back in and on the field a lot. I like Jalen Richard in this game. On the flip side, it's still the Shady McCoy show. I don't care who they're playing. This offense runs through Shady McCoy. I was talking about a few weeks ago. Then putting all fifty three men

in the box against Shady McCoy. It seems to not matter. Okay, Shady McCoy is or RB one until you hear otherwise, even if they put guys box against him, because Shady McCoy is still a weapon in the passing game. So I like the running backs in this game. Give me Shady McCoy, and also give me Jalen Richard in this game. All right, we're gonna go to the phone lines right now, because they are popping, like my lip gloss is popping. Maybe on Halloween next Tuesday, not today. We're gonna kick

it off on the Fantasy Freestyle. We got my man. We're going to shoo Lynn, we got Pete and Staten Island. You gonna kick it off today on the fantasy Freestyle. Is it um for Mock England, who I did not want to give up, Okay, but I had to do it because my quarterbacks were case king him and went huntly Brent humbly. All right, um, now I have to drop a player. First off, you think I'm you know, obviously okay with Boston. I don't know about this week

against Seattle, right, I agree? Right? You know Watson rest of season, I think he's fine, But this not the week that I would be on Deshaun Watson against the legion of boom out there in Seattle, you know, and mark Ingram Man, that's real tough to give up. But hopefully you've got other running backs so you can support the blow because I think mark Ingram is literally like a top seven or eight running back for the rest

of the sea. Yeah, I would put him in like seven maybe, but yeah, I mean mark Ingram is a lot to give up. So hopefully Watson continues his hot street. But tell me about the players you need to drop. Okay, So now I have, uh, well my list of running backs, by the way, or A Dulu's terrible and Doug Martin, who I'm hoping for better. All right. I did pick up Onedel Smallwood last night. All right, anyway, alright, now

my players, I have to drop one playoff for the extra. Here, I got case King, who I'm thinking of starting this week instead of Shaun Huddley B Hunley of course. And you know what I have to Vaunte Booker, and I liked him by the way, he might take that job. Pete. Let me tell you, Let me tell you I would drop Hunley. I would drop Hunley because then week to week he got Deshaun Watson in case Keenum still um and Watson is likely gonna be the guy. Like, think

about it this way. What week moving forward? Are you really gonna start Brett Hunley over Deshaun Watson. I don't think you're gonna do that ever, So I would drop Bret Hunley. That would be the guy. You know, the lead pack that's running right, and they usually have like those motorcycles in front of them and stuff like that. A group of you know, like mostly West African runners and uh, the motorcycles didn't know the root of the marathon and drove them off course by half a mile. They didn't realize they were off the marathon course for half a mile.

They then had to double back the lead group right, and this is what allowed this guy, you Fanniel to get a lead that he ultimately maintained to win the race in two hours, in twelve minutes. I think this is a little shady. It's the Venice Marathon and an Italian guy one after the officials on the motorcycles diverted off course and the marathon runners that are just following the motorcycle went off course for about a half a

mile and then had to double back. I think that is absolutely hysterical, Bavona, let me bring you in real quick, okay, or Venture down there the analysts one of you, guys, what do you think about this? Fair or foul? I smell a little home cooking on this one. Maybe they saw that they had all these you know, non Italians in the league group and they diverted them off the course a little bit. What do you think about that, Bivona?

I mean, listen, man, this is in Italy and then Italian you know, Venture and I we understand the ideas of you know, making sure we can just shave off a couple of points. We don't do it.
