We are going into Week eight of the fantasy football season. Here's we're gonna do. I got people clamoring for what defenses they need to stream this week. I'm gonna tell you, Okay, I've been telling you defenses for the last couple of weeks, and I've been doing pretty good. I'm sorry about those who went with Detroit last week, but I've been telling you about Indianapolis the last couple of weeks. I'm gonna tell you right now, I like a stream again against

the Oakland Raiders. The Oakland Raiders are a dumpster fire. They are blunt, guts trashed. They continue to defecate the mattress and send everybody away. Because you know, Gruden is on a ten year plan in Vegas. He don't give a damn about the Oakland Raiders veterans, he don't give a damn about the Oakland fan base. Alright, So we're gonna get into that a little bit later on. I'm gonna give you the defenses to stream. I'm gonna give you some DFS thoughts, all right, I'm gonna tell you

which games to stack. I'm gonna talk to you about my picks for some of the Spotlight games of the week. We will preview Thursday Night football at the end of the show, and we're gonna answer your questions for the stats overbeat Cipher. Alright, we'll give out that number to call. I see you guys already on the chat room strong style. I like that A hundred is a good goal. We're out of eleven already. Hey, we got we got two

people already that are disliking let's sitting statistician. But that's okay. Let's hop on into it. If you ain't like it. Hey, that's the beauty of the interwebs these days. There's a lot of other places you can go. Let's get into it. Though. Jack Doyle is back at practice, okay, And I think this is interesting because we've been rotting with Eric Ebron for a long time. Right listen, t Y Hilton returned

uh last week. Jack Doyle may come back. Okay. That impacts some thinking with some of these other guys on the cult, so be careful about that. On the Indianapolis side, I think that is interesting. Marlon Mack was also downgraded from yesterday to d n P today. That is trending in the wrong direction. Okay, so keep an eye out on that. I listen, Marlon Mack is about to seize the brass ring here. I think ultimately he's gonna be out there. I think they are managing his reps, but

definitely keep an eye out on that. I gotta tell you something though, if you're a stature of Beat Cipher fan, if you've been with me for a while here on the Fantasy Freestyle and other shows, you know you know you know how I do the nicknames and some of the sing songy nicknames, or I would stephon, can you

exit the stereotype, Adam, I gotta ceiling. But one of the first ones I ever did on this network was my Jets running back my man Boom Boom bilal pal Pal and here from the Fantasy Freestyle, the status of Beat Cipher. I want to tip our cap and acknowledge blah pal he's going to I R He's gonna have a neck surgery. It looks like okay, and I'm gonna tell you right now, I am you know his career is in jeopardy, all right. I'm a Jets fan. I'm a Blaw Powell fan, and so you know, first things first,

I hope you get better. I hope you all eight alright, but listen, he's gonna be a running back on the wrong side of thirty coming off a neck injury. I think that could be an issue the fantasy impact though in the short term. Listen, I boost Isaiah crow Well. I think now crow Well. Listen, they were in a time share, right and now crow Well is like the only dog left there. Okay, there's two other names I think you need to know though in New York. One

is Trenton Cannon. He's the kind of shaking, baked ricky Bobby back that they've been utilizing a little bit in the passing game and on third downs. However, I wouldn't go for him. The name you need to know or remember is Elijah McGuire. Okay, I'm telling you guys right now. Elijah McGuire is a guy that the Jets organization was high on going into the season. Then he got injured. Elijah McGuire is a guy that my guy, Emery Hunt, the tsar of the playbook, you may remember at My

Boy Emery. He was really high on Elijah McGuire as well. They have plans for Elijah McGuire, and Elijah McGuire is um available to come off the pup list, not this week, but next week. So don't go ahead crazy with Trenton Cannon. I think Elijah McGuire is gonna be the B side to Isaiah crow Well's a side in this time share by the time the Fantasy playoffs moved along. And let me tell you something, guys, I've been talking. I gave

you early warning about Leonard Fournette. I gave you early warning about Ja g i e. I gave you early warning about you know, Dalve excuse me, Dante Freeman, um and others. And I've been telling you, guys every week for the last couple of week. I am concerned about Dalvin Cook. I'm concerned about Dalvin Cook. I've been telling y'all for the better part of the last month that Lat Murray you need to get that Lat Murray is

a good DFS play. And now the Minnesota Vikings come out and say they believe Dalvin Cook is going to be out until week eleven. Okay, so that's another what month from now? All right, So if you haven't listened, to me before. Please listen to me now. Lat Murray is going to be the horse in Minnesota for the foreseeable future. Okay, a lot of trades going on, lots of trades going on already this week. The Giants have traded away Eli Apple, have traded away Damon Snacks Harrison.

The Raiders are doing a fire sale as well, right, moving Lynch to I R. You know about their trade of Khalil Mack. They traded a Marii Cooper earlier this week. So that brings me to my poll question. My poll question is it looks to me like the Raiders, and to a lesser extent, maybe the Giants are tanking quite frankly, right, they've waived the white flag on the season. They're moving

in ahead, and they're trying to collect assets. That's what it looks like to me, right, So I know we've seen other teams and other sports do this, right, the Cubs, the Astros, the Royals in Major League Baseball over the period of years. Obviously the pre eminent example of this is in basketball with the Philadelphia seventies sixers, and they are now starting to reap the benefits, right, and beat and Simmons and maybe even faults. Right, My question is

does that work in the NFL? Would that work in the NFL? Can you also in essence quote unquote trust the process in the NFL? That is my poll question right now, and my options are yes, trust the process. Option B is only if you got a ten year contract like John Gruden does in fact have or is it Nope, No you can't. All right, That's what I

want to know. Do you think you can quote unquote tank seasons in the NFL the same I kind of don't think it works the same way because in basketball, if you get that stud star, that generational talent, that Lebron James, that Ben Simmons guy that's one of five on the floor, one stud basketball player can do a whole lot for their team. Lebron James was in the Eastern Conference finals like eight years in a row. Right.

In football, I don't think that's the case. You know, you could put David Johnson, who everybody thinks it's a great back on one team, but if you ain't got an on line, if you ain't got the right scheme, it doesn't work. So I actually don't think tanking works in the NFL because you got you know, eleven guys on the field. You got fifty three men on a roster. It's much different than the NBA. So I don't really

think it works. However, I think Gruden is doing it and I'm okay with that approach because he knows he's not accountable to Oakland or they're his current veterans right now.

What he's trying to do is position himself with a stockpile of either draft picks, assets or young ascending players that these draft picks will turn into right when they move to Vegas, right so that there's buzz about the new ocation, right so people come out and watch, so that people are excited about the arrow pointing up on the Raiders when they are that when they're actually in Las Vegas. That's what I think is the uh wait to do it? Okay, that's that's that's how he's doing

it right now. I don't know if it's gonna work or not, but that's the way I think they are going. All right, um, check this out, guys. I got good fella on the chat room. He's saying Woods, Michael Thomas or Juju to pick two. That is tough. If big al if you respond, it's a good fella that is tough, all right, I would listen, it's hard to say that, Um, of those, I love Juju and his matchup. You gotta love him. You gotta love Woods, especially because there's no cup.

You gotta love Michael Thomas. Good fellow. What I would say is, honestly, uh, you gotta flex one of them. You gotta start two of them and flex the other. I would find it hard to believe that. Let's say, right now, good fella, I say the answer is Michael Thomas and Woods. I would find it hard to believe that you have a better option than Juju, that you would be able to flex. Good fellow. I'm gonna tell you something. Those are like hashtag first world problems, brother man.

So I like what you're doing right there. Uh snorkel ops as well, asking a question. I need some help and need why receive two for my stand league Golladay or t Y Hilton. I mean, you know I love Golladay. You know I love Golladay. Um, t Y listen. Last week in his kind of week back, he did have two touchdowns, right, so that's great, but he didn't like he only had like four catches or so um. I love Golladay, but I think I think unfortunately, I think you gotta go t Y. I think you gotta go

t Y strong style. You're right, you think Watson might go to I R. McCoy might go to I R. I've been saying it. I've been saying it for a while, and they just play on Thursday Night football in a couple of minutes right in about an hour where I also believe DeShawn Watson will not finish the season. Listen, the organization wouldn't put him on a plane last week because they knew that he a health risk. They knew

that his lungs were being compromised. Yet they think it's okay to have him behind that dumpster fire, blunt, guts trash offensive line with a pass rush coming like tonight what Cameron Wake is coming breathing down his ass behind that offensive line. I don't think he's gonna make it either. Brother, I don't think he's gonna make it either personally. But hey, I digress. All right, here's what I want to get into. Okay, I want to start with some DFS thoughts. I'm wanna

start with some DFS thoughts. I want to tell you something, um where I'm going with some of my plays, give you some you know, general thoughts, and then maybe specific guys. Get you ready. Because remember here on Fantasy Freestyle, I do not merely give you a fish. I teach you how to fish so you can win your leagues and

win that cash. Remember, the first thing we do is we look at the high totals, right, and so a lot of these games aren't on the slate, The London games not on the slate right Sunday night, it's a big total with the Saints and the Vikings not on the slate. Okay, So I'm looking at the games that are Listen, Green Bay and l A A lot of points put ptential there, Oakland and Indianapolis in the fifties, lot of potential there, Tampa Bay and since fifty four

and a half, a lot of potential there. And the last one is the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs. Lot of potential in those matchups. So I'm gonna be trying to play in those matchups. That's where you're gonna see the Lions share of my guys this week. Okay. In fact, I am attacking the Oakland Raiders defense, because I think that that team is unraveling. Okay, quite frankly, Um, there's a lot of beef in that locker room. They don't trust Gruden. Everyone's like, oh am, I next, Remember

they're also depleted. I'm attacking, uh, the Oakland Raiders. So I'm stacking up some Indianapolis Colts. Give me Andrew Luck. Andrew Luck versus twenty six ranked defense in the NFL, and listen Andrew Luck. Remember he's one of those guys I say puts the ball up a ton of times.

Listen also in the last four weeks. Okay, last week against Buffalo four touchdowns, week before that against the Jets four touchdowns, The week before that on Thursday night against the Patriots three touchdowns, The week before that against Houston four touchdowns. Remember this is a team that also does not have much of a run game to speak of, even less if they don't have Marlon Mack. So they are going to be throwing the ball even in the red zone. I like Andrew Luck at eight three hundred.

I'm attacking the Oakland Raiders. Who do I stack him with? Here's where I'm going. I'm going differently than most. Okay, we just talked about t Y Hilton. Yes, t Y Hilton is the best pass catching option. But I'm going a little bit lower because I don't want to pay all that money. You can get t Y Hilton at hundred. You can get Chester Rogers at fifties six hundred, and he is the number two wide receiver. I think it'll

be open there as well. So I'm gonna take Andrew Luck Chester Rogers, but I'm not done in this game. I'm also I know Jack Doyle may be back, but I'm still going with Eric Ebron. This would be his first game back. I think Eric Ebron continues to have Andrew Lux. I I think he will continue to get targets. Eric Ebron has been a stud. Are you kidding me? You know, listen, he's got four touchdowns in his last four games, and he's been getting double digit targets in

three of his last five games. Okay, and he's got like seven targets and the other ones. I think he is still going to be productive, and I think he's gonna be lower owned this week because people are like, oh, Jack Doyle might come back, right, So I like Andrew Luck. I like Chester Rogers. I like Eric Ebron on the other side of that game with the trade of Mariy Cooper. If you look at these wide receivers, Martavis Bryant and Jordie Nelson are both down at fifty three hundred dollars.

I think Jordy Nelson is gonna get a lot of uh targets and this one. I think this is gonna be a back and forth game. I think it's gonna be a higher scoring game. Remember I started by telling you this game has a total in the fifties. So I like Jordy Nelson. All right, So I've got Chester Rogers and Jordy Nelson as two of my whiteouts. I've given you Andrew Luck as a quarterback, Eric Ebron as a tight end. Right. So now I'm going to that

Tampa Cincinnati game. Right. We know about the Tampa secondary. We know about that they give it up. They have no one who can deal with a J. Green. So a J. Green is in my lineup atred member. I spent less money for Chester Rodgers at fifty six, Jordy Nelson at fifty three. Okay, so that's where I'm going there. Uh for running backs, I haven't touched those, yet they're gonna be a factor of this next man up. First of all, because of the Ballal Powell news. I have

Isaiah crow Well. I know that he's facing the Bears. I understand that they're a good defense. Okay, I understand that, But he now has much more opportunity and the lion's share of the snaps and the touches, and his price is, you know, lower than that. I think he's a value, and I think Crowell does a little in the passing game at as well. I like Isaiah Crowell at six thousand dollars on fan duel my other two running backs

that I'm gonna put in because I'm flexing Crowell. Right, I told you about how the Giants just traded away Damian snacks Harrison. That is going to leave a big hole in that run defense of the New York Giants. Who's playing the Giants this week? The Washington football team. Who's the lead back in Washington, who honestly has been putting it in my eye all year long, and I've never believed in him. It's Adrian Peterson, all right. And Adrian Peterson at ninety nine yards last week, the week

before that, ninety seven yards. Okay, but he hasn't gotten in the end zone. I think he can against this Giants defense. And then the last game that was a high total Denver in Kansas City that I wanted to get into. Give me Kareem Hunt. The Denver Broncos are thirty feet in the NFL against the run game when they played Denver last time around on October one. In that game, Kareem Hunt had a hundred twenty one yards his season high. He had a touchdown, He had another

fifty four yards in the past game. It was a twin five point effort, one of his best in the season. Give me Kareem Hunt as well. There are some DFS thoughts. Elijah McGuire coming off the pup list, and I think he's the guy that Jets are gonna want in that PPR kind of roll. Alright, So no, I would not worry about Cannon right now. I do think Isaiah Corwell gets boosted up though, and uh. Also random astion. No, I would not move Kelsey even for a B. Kelsey is the number one tight end along with arch Right

and Gronk. A B is a little bit down, and I think wide receiver, even elite wide receiver, is deeper. I would not right now move Zach Ertz or Travis Kelsey for almost anything, you know, I mean, because that tight end it's so valuable there. You'll have a week to week advantage every single week. So I would not do that, Okay, I would not. I would keep Kelsey and be very very happy about it. All Right, here's

what we're gonna do. Um we got hoop Kids thirty two asking me and standard which running back do I start? Carry on? Johnson, mark Ingram or Marlin mack Uh. Well, Mac has banged up a little bit. I do think ultimately he's going to start, but they have acknowledged he's not a percent, so we'll see about that. And Wop Kid.

I don't know how new you are to the stats overbeat Cipher, but one of these guys I've been on for a long time as an ascending running back, and it is when you lost that alone and you're sinking like a stone. Carry on on. I love carry on Johnson, and I continue to think he will be a good viable start for you. Bone bone crush, John Brown or Fuller tonight. I'm all Fuller tonight, Guys. I've made this point a number of times, and let me try to

teach people how to fish here. Okay, ultimately, Brown crush. My answer is John Brown. Let me explain to you why I'm down on will Fuller. Will Fuller is the take the top off, the defense guy, the deep threat, right the Deshaun Jackson with hands. Maybe you know that kind of guy, all right. My problems with Deshaun Watson right now are one that the offensive line or blunt guts trash right, but too, Deshaun Watson is now starting to hear the footsteps. You need protection to take a

five and seven step drop for those deep passes. And Deshaun Watson is now at the point where he is starting to feel the rush, see the rush, and taking his eyes from downfield to evade the rush. And I think that compromises the kind of routes that will Fuller runs, if that makes sense. Okay, So that's what I think is the real issue there. So for that reason, I'll take Johnny Brown. Don p is asking me Jordan Howard

a Geronimo Allison. Listen for that kind of thing. When we're talking about a running backwards wide out, I really need to know the format PPR standard. In UM. In standard, I would lean to the running back Jordan Howard, But in PPR I would lean to Geronimo Allison. Okay, and I know Jordan Howard hasn't gotten the usage as much lately. I think they're gonna win against the Jets. I think they're gonna need Jordan Howard to run the clock out in the second half. I'll also say this my Survivor

pick this week. Okay, there's a number of large spreads, but the one I am on, and this is coming from a Jets fan, is the Chicago Bears. Okay, the Chicago Bears are at home. Their defense is starting to get um talked about in a less positive light. I think they make a statement here. I think they turned Sam Donald in the Jets over a number of times. Sam Donald has been showing his propensity to throw picks and fumble. I think the Bears are make a statement

their defense specifically. And also, you know Trabinsky continues to ascend. So there we go. For the next question, Larry M is asking me Drew Brees or Mitchell tre Whiskey. Slowdown, It's still Drew Brees though, Okay. I like Mitchell Drewisky in all, and I think he's a great bye week fill in right. If you a lot of people have Philip Rivers on a bye. I acknowledge that some people might have Matt Ryan on a bye. I had one

of my guys. I think he's Harry Henderson. I think he's in the chat room right now talking about how he has Rivers on a bye And it's like Ryan with case Keenum. You know, hey, you gotta do what you gotta do, right. I don't. I think there's better options. But you got case Keenum for this week when you knew Rivers had to buy right, So I would go though Drew Brees in that situation, Larry M. Santiago is that Santiago B is asking me Rogers or Luck this weekend?

Rogers against those Rams. Andrew Luck. He's my DFS quarterback. I'm attacking the Oakland Raiders. He's had four touchdowns pretty much every week. I like Andrew Luck. Andrew Luck also gives you rushing potential that Rogers doesn't. And Rodgers remembers against the Los Angeles Rams this week, I would go Andrew luck Hurrah, Gerardo are asking me Godwin a Mendola or Funchius again in EPR you like Amendola because of

the targets and that sort of thing. I think my answers Amendola regardless, because Miami this week they really got nobody else. Remember Albert Wilson we think is on. I r uh, Kenny Stills we think is out. So Amandola would be it for me? Last one right now, snorkel ops wide receive a two. Golladay or t Y Hilton. I think we answered that question before already. I'm begrudgingly I go with t Y Hilton, even though you know I love Goda day because it would be so nice.

All right, let's get into a few defenses to stream. Okay, And first of all, what I want to refer you to, okay, is um my guy, the King Scott Angle, who you here with me? And mornings on Rhodo Experts in the morning from seven to eight a m uh every day Monday through Friday. Um he put together his weekly ranks and all that you can get that is part of the exclusive edge package, right, And he does ranks and you know, we talked about those on Thursday, and I look at some of those as well, and then I

put my own two cents and spin on it. Right. So here's what I'm thinking about in terms of defenses, who, because of their matchup, are a little bit higher this week than most. The first I've told you already the Indianapolis Colts. I'm attacking the Oakland Raiders. Um, I think they're gonna get some sacks. Remember the Cults are actually like third or fourth in the NFL and sacks. They have like twenty sacks already on the year. I think they're gonna get some sacks. And I think they're gonna,

you know, uh, turn Derek car over a couple of times. Right, So that's definitely one. Another one I kind of like this week. And I know this sounds crazy, is uh the Seattle Seahawks. Don't look now, but Seattle is in a good place. Okay. Seattle actually again has like a top five defense. They're coming off of buy and stuff like that. So I think Seattle could be an interesting defense to stream as well this week, even though I

do think Detroit could win that game. Um, another defense that I like is tonight tonight, I like, to be honest, maybe both defenses. I think this is gonna be a low scoring game tonight. Honestly, you know how I will never pick an under in the NFL again, because there's two thousand and eighteen and there's penalties, and there's you know, pass interference and like everything is slated for offense. But this is a low total tonight at forty four, and

I think it's warranted. I think this could be one of those stinkers, you know, brock Oswidler. Uh, It's not a revenge game from brock Oswiler. It's a revenge game for J. J. Watt, Clowney, Merciless, all of them against brock Oswidler, paying them damage for you know, being the broken part of that team that would have been a playoff contender. It is, however, in my opinion, maybe a

revenge game for Lamar Miller. Remember he's a former Dolphin, right so um in this game, though, I love the Houston Texans defense all right, I think they're gonna turn brock Oswilder rover. I think they're gonna get some sacks. I think that tonight's game is gonna be a lower scoring game. I would pick the under if someone put a gun to my head, but I'm not giving that out officially. But I do like the Houston Texans as a streaming defense. Let me give you one or two more.

And here's the other one. Look at this game, the San Francisco Arizona game. The San Francisco Arizona game. The total in that one is forty two and a half. That is pretty much the lowest total on the board. Right. Um, I've told you about the Arizona defense. I know they got lit up last Thursday night, but they do have they did have ten days, and I'll attack cejb hard. I'll also on the San Francisco side, attack this Arizona

offense with a new offensive coordinator. Right, Mike McCoy was fired, is Byron left, which really gonna change everything around in ten days for the Arizona Cardinals. I don't think so necessarily, you know what I mean? So, um, that game could be interesting. And then the other low total game that I think you should look at. Um, I'll give you two more is this Washington new York Giants game. Listen,

did you see Monday night football? Did you see how Eli Manning literally has no time to throw and the pocket is collapsing on him. Remember again, and streaming defenses, you are not necessarily looking for points allowed. You're looking for sacks and turnovers. And I think the Washington football team can get to Eli Manning, and Eli Manning goes right into the fetal position right away, just like his

brother used to do. Okay, so um, I like the Washington football team uh as a streaming defense this week? All right, So that's one more. The last one I'll give you is in that Sunday morning game over there in London, Jacksonville and Philly. You know about the Jacksonville defense, and that's already owned, definitely right. But Philadelphia also if you don't have If the Philadelphia defense is unowned, I would take them against Blake Bortles. Blake Bortles is reverting back.

Blake Bortles is on a short leash. We have seen Blake Bortles turn into a pumpkin and back into Bordles service, So you may want to attack that. Those are some of the uh you know that's those are some of the defenses that I would go with, yo, uh snorkel ops. I agree if your league record is seven and oh because the Speeds give it alike, you know what I'm saying. What about the Jags D in London? Yes, obviously, John Adams, definitely. But here's the thing. The Jags D is owned, right.

I'm talking about defenses that you can kind of stream in your season longs, all right, that maybe viable. Let's say, uh, you know, you have one of these defenses on buy, or you have a defense that you like that has a really bad matchup something like that, and you're looking for a streaming defense. This is a viable strategy for people. So that's what I'm talking about, John Adams, I'm talking

about streaming defenses. Obviously, yes, the Jags are strong defense, but I think they're already owned, so they don't necessarily um you know, so they don't necessarily fit this the logic eight oh four exactly. I am fading the teams on fire sale, fading Oakland. That's why I like Indianapolis has a streaming defense. That's why I have Andrew Luck and others in i DFS lineup. And the Giants are playing the Washington football team. Right, That's why I gave

out the Washington defense as a defense to stream. That's why Adrian Peterson is in my DFS lineup, especially with Snacks Harrison. No longer they're plugging up the middle. Okay, so absolutely, Um, that's that's what's up. It's all good, John Adams, it's all good. I am mad at you strong style. Though. We need to slap that. is not enough to me. Remember the Jacksonville Jaguars right now, Yeah, their defense is solid, right, but you know their offense is a dumpster fire right now. I think Philly treats this as a business trip. I think Philly is a much more professional team. Jacksonville is unraveling. There's fights in the locker room, you know, offense versus defense. That's a bad signal to me. Give me the Philadelphia Eagles in this one. Um. I think zach Ertz is going to

eat in this one. I think another very interesting game here is the Seattle Seahawks and the Detroit Lions. This total is at forty nine. I told you the Seattle defense is an interesting stream, right but I'm still all over carry on Johnson. He has been a guy. I've said it for the last couple of weeks. I think he is continuing to ascend. And I think that after they had their by. What happens when teams have their

by is they self scout right. They try to scout themselves right, and I think they realized that what they need to do to be a more balanced offense and ultimately a better offense as involved. Carry on Johnson more. THEO Riddick is gonna be out again potentially, and carry on Johnson is showing that he can do work in the passing game as well. I love carry On Johnson in this game. I think the Seattle defense is a

decent stream because I think they could get pressure. They may turn over Stafford, but I do think the Detroit Lions ultimately get a W in this one. Let's talk about the big boy games towards the later later on in the slate, the Green Bay Packers in Los Angeles Rams, let me tell you something, Cooper Cup, It's probably not gonna play right. When was the last time you saw Aaron Rodgers as a nine or ten point underdog. I've never seen it before, Okay, And I think the back

door is gonna be open in this one. There's a lot of point total here is fifty seven. That's a hugely high total, right, so I think that I think that Aaron Rodgers is gonna keep up, and I think the backdoor is gonna be open. I really like the Green Bay Packers plus nine points and in that Saints Vikings game, boy, that's a pick him right now. And I'm gonna tell you something that's a tough one for me. I would stay away from this game, but I think

you get everybody there in your fantasy lineups. Maybe Latin, Marie Stefon Diggs, Adam Thilon. This maybe the game that even Kyle Rudolph comes back into play, so we'll keep an eye out on that.
