There were some news out of the nf FC East earlier today, Ezekiel Elliott talking about, Hey Levan Bell could do it, Hey Melvin Gordon can do it.

I want a new contract to We'll talk about how that might impact will you draft in the top four of fantasy football this year? It's an actually an interesting question. Okay, do you like this rash of uh NFL players, NBA players, even to a certain extent, Major League Baseball players really taking more control of their narrative

of their players situations. We see Levion Bell, Yeah, I'll hold out Antonio Brown, you know, Scorched Earth's manipulating his contract. It actually works for him, right. We saw Melvin Gordon demand a hold you know, say he might hold out news of Ezekiel Elliott. This is happening in the NBA as well, Jason. We see this with Anthony Davis literally wearing That's All Folks shirts in his last week there in New Orleans. You know, Rich Paul, Clutch Sports, all

that good stuff. We see this now with you know, uh, Chris Paul and James Harden. We see this with Russell Westbrook. The dominoes continue to fall as people are now manipulating their situation more and more in professional sports. The poll question is do you like that? You know? Do you like that as a fan? Do you like that? Now?

You know? These these ideas of tampering and free agency are almost, you know, kind of of an old era, Jason, because it's not really about like, oh, I'm worried that this team is gonna talk to me before I can sign a contract, right, It's really about like one of my best friends over a late night you know, kind of drink, being like, Yo, wouldn't it be cool if we could sync up our contracts and go to, oh, I don't know, some city we'd like to play for with,

oh I don't know, some coach that we know is respected with oh I don't know, some team that also has a good, friendly salary cap so we can bring our other friend who's not as good if a player has us. But if we can break the gang together, sure that could be Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and DeAndre Jordan's. That could be Lebron James and what I think is gonna be Anthony Davison, you know, probably like Carmelo Anthony as well. Right, Um, is this cool in your opinion? Jason?

There are questions, by the way, Jason, of people that you think maybe are really really undervalue this year from

a fantasy context. I wanted to take the film people. Maybe rookie second year guys you expect to take that big time step up, maybe given our moves, but I want to start. I want to start with all the moves that have happened. Okay, it seems like also when I was in California, all right, there was like the most powerful earthquakes over the last twenty and twenty five years. I'm gonna name one earthquake Kauai, and I'm gonna name

the other earthquake Paul, because that's pretty much what happened. Right. We knew this Anthony Davis stuff was gonna go on. When then it was like who's gonna be the third man? You know? It turns out it. Guess it's Boogie Cousins, I guess, but that's that piling with a lot of veterans, you know, Lebron's his super friends and that sort of thing. But then in l A on the other side, we

knew Kauai was in play for the Clippers. But then he turns around and it becomes clear that he wanted to bring his own, like his own super friends together, maybe like the more socially awkward super friends, maybe the mere super Friends, maybe the more um introverted personality super friends. Right, he was gonna get Kevin Durandy, wanted k D to play with him. Turns out Paul George is the man.

And here's my thing for you, Jason, when I think of now not only what the Clippers can do offensively, but defensively, Jason, this idea of Kawhi Leonard two way player, Paul George two way player, Patrick Beverly defriending the top of whoever they're playing against. I kind of think, Jason, that the Clippers are deserving NBA Finals favorites right now out of the West. Do you think the Lakers have become the odds on favorite in these Is it the Clippers or do you like one of these other moves

of the Western Conference? Where is the balance of power in the West right now? The issue is that you have to understand how other players play, how they meshed together. All right, that hasn't happened for the Clippers, but it doesn't need to. Why do you say it doesn't need to doesn't need to happen for any team? Or like what you see what co I did in one year

in Toronto. So you have that type of player who seems to be okay with almost any other player and a Clippers team that basically has a foundation that's already set, right. I like that addition. And you also add Paul George you popping you know, a spot up shooter. Yeah, that

works in pretty much every situation. Okay, So you're saying they are more versatile, they are more nimble, they have they can play more amorphous roles, which is sort of what's happening in the NBA right now right Yeah, and also the curve, it's gonna they're learning curve is going to be quicker, okay, as opposed to the purple and gold. You're saying, what and is that like, tell me what you think that this has to be. I hear that

they're gonna put Lebron at point. Even you know this idea of what just pick and roll with a D, just lob it up to whatever it's cousins or a D. That's that's what you think is harder to master. Um, it's gonna be harder to master. And there's not a concept there. Okay, I see where's the Clippers. They have a system. They have a system. Okay, so wait, here's the here's my thing because the other in my opinion, in big old domino to fall here. Right. First, we

we know about the l a balance of power. We know about those earthquakes that happened. I'm not being disrespectful. I was out there. Um. The other kind of domino that then happened was people were not expecting Paul George to leave Oklahoma City, right And in essence, what Oklahoma City was doing was turning around after the big old draft hall that they got. They turned around and they tell Russell Westbrook in essence figuratively, we don't give a

damn about the next four years. We don't care about like the rest of your prime. In essence, we are kicking the can down the road. So Russ is like, I, then do something with me, right, And we didn't think it was going to wind up being Houston. I thought we heard Miami with Jimmy Butler, we heard some other ideas. It turns out being Houston. You said you have to think about how people play together. Now I know that Harden and Westbrook have played together in Oklahoma City. You're

smiling right because you know where this is coming. I'm not exaggerating, Jason. I think these are two of the more ball dominant players that maybe have ever lived on planet Earth. I'm not kidding, right. Think about this in terms of like usage rate, right, Like listen, Harden, it works, it works, Westbrook, It's sort of works, right, But how will you talk about the way they metch the way they played together. How will this work? I really don't know.

You're as good if you're in a Westbrook team. You're as good as the Westbrook team can take you the way he plays, right, But you don't think that Harden. Now, all of a sudden, you were talking about Paul George. The impact on Paul George as a shooter. Part of Paul George looking like a better shooter is that he had Russell Westbrook, Uh, you know, opening space for him on some level drives and kicks. Won't that happen on some level with James Harden? Will won't Harden get some

better shots? Could Harden average? I don't know, thirty eight for a season. It's gonna be a D'Antoni um experiment. I actually read about something today. D'Antoni and Harden are uh early in the clock players. Westbrook is at an average. I think it's towards the end of the so so so who is the isn't the Westbrook is the primary

ball handler for that team? I think you have to recons he can't shoot, has to be right, So what he's gonna be still trying to do his thing for twenty seconds and then just get bailed out in the last five by hard And every time I will say, Dan, your your your guess is as good as mine. But that's the only option they have, all right, So let me let me there's a few other teams I want to discuss because when I look at this, when I look at these odds, right, I see Los Angeles, I

see Los Angeles, I see Houston. Am I crazy? Jason? Or is for the first time ever? Are people just sleeping on the Golden State Warriors. Here's what I Jason. The Golden State Warriors are fifteen to one to win the NBA Championship. Literally, for the last what four years, the Golden State Warriors have been minus money favorites against

the entire rest of the NBA. You're gonna tell me, Okay, I understand Kevin Durant is gone, right, you without Kevin Durant, Okay, they are this team that won seventy games and all this stuff. I understand. Clay Thompson's not there. You think even without Clay Thompson and maybe with D'Angelo Russell, they're not good enough to like be a playoff team until March when Clay Thompson comes back, and then you have the same team that won seventy three games. It's not

like D'Angelo Russell can score. Like, why are people hating on the Warriors? They're not one of the still the top five six teams in the West. They're not better than the Denver Nuggets still right now? No, they're not. I don't think so. You lose three defenders to world. Listen, they got Willie Couli Stein I think it's a very interesting signing, signing who may fit them a little bit better.

But I hear what you're saying, the defensive impact. I started with the defensive impact on the Clippers right with that threesome and how they will be able to defend. I think that is a very good point, Jason. I think the scoring will still be there, the name recognition

is still there. But you're right there, like man, I think I even saw on social media like a gift or something of like Draymond Green, and it was like, imagine Draymond Green out there with like you know, D'Angelo Russell and Steph Curry at the top of the floor playing defense, you know, and but like looking and they was like, where's Ai, where's Clay? You know? So that could be the impact. But are you telling me you don't think the Warriors are still a playoff team? Come on, right,

and then Clay Thompson will be there. These other teams moved up, Jazz are still together, made a couple of movies. I like them with the Mike Nuggets might get a healthy quarterback, sure, okay, and the center is coming back all right? So I hear that. So you got to l A teams. You got a Houston team, you're talking about Portland, you're talking about Denver. Golden State is still there. There's some up and coming teams as well. We'll talk about this a little bit more, and then we will

turn our attention to the NFC East. I know he's got some thoughts on who the number one overall running backs should be. We'll talk about that. I think maybe the third team would be It's interesting how Kemba into the Boston. Would he even be better there than and Kyrie was? Yeah, less ball dominant, He's

ball down, but way less than Kyrie. I think you optimize round a little bit, round Tatum, even Hayward one more year healthier, you know that sort of thing. So Boston is in there as well. But in the break, we were talking about the New Orleans Felicans. Listen, we know about Zion, we know about you know, Drew Holiday, and we're gonna maybe talk a little bit about you know, Drew Holiday's mom in a little bit. She's got some

advice we may get into. Um, we know about you know, all of the guys they acquired really right, you know Alonzo and you know Ingram. They go out and you know sign some guys JJ Reddick among them have a decent draft. Is New Orleans like competing for a eight seed this year? They one year away? What do you expect that as Zion? Is he really like this franchise altering piece like so many people expect. I think he I think he can be. The whole issue is his conditioning.

What I read about, Um, that's fun. The NBA takes care of that, I think, right really, Um, I think they'll I think he'll be fine there all. I'm a big Lonzo Ball fan. Alonzo Ball with a Zion Williamson together, I think can be very special, especially with wing guys right heart and Ingram. You can put the ball in

the basket. I like the Pelicans, maybe not this year, in the next three years, absolutely really Okay, So when Lebron rides into the sunset, when Anthony Davis is obviously hurt for thirty games and that sort of thing keeps it moving or something like that, I'm not a better but I bet when that trade happened, the Pelicans would finish better than the Lakers. Really well, that's that's an absolutely crazy take. But we shall see, we shall see.

I mean, listen, Lebron is not getting any younger, Anthony Davis doesn't really finish season, so I understand, But listen, We'll see what happens in year one of that Zion experiment. Let's turn our attention a little bit to football. Jason. Know we're talking a little bit about the NFC East. And here's what I do, Jason, for people who don't know, all right, I give people in fantasy I give him for the teams in the NFC East, I give you

a I'm in that. I give you a full gazzy that's a player to forget about, you know, for this fantasy football season. And then I give you kind of leans on division totals, I mean division players who's gonna win the division. And I give you the season under over that I like. And listen, I've been doing this. You asked me. This is now, by the way, for

the Status Over beats Cipher the eighties something episode. This is going into the fourth football season that we have been doing this together here on the Fantasy Sports Network. I gave people check the tape, Jason. I gave people this time two years ago, the Philadelphia Eagles would win the Super Bowl. That was like to one on this air. I was like, I really like Philadelphia. In two thousand and seventeen, before the baseball season, I they weren't even

the favorites to win their division. And I said the Houston Nastros would win the World Series. Okay, so what we do is we give people early winners in the fifteen to one range. Okay, that you can already lay. I've already told you guys in the a f C, I am on the Charges, I am on the Colts this year in the nf see, I've told you about the Green Bay Packers with Aaron Rodgers in fu mode. I've told you about people are sleeping on the Atlanta Falcons.

In my opinion, they have thirteen games indoors this year, Jason, thirteen of their sixteen games are indoors. That's good from Maddie Ryan and that uh, you know that that offense that got away from Steve Arcasian. Let's say, but let's get it into the NFC East, all right. Obviously we know where your loyalties lie here. This guy is not a J E. T S j JS Jets fans, so we don't need the damnit Dolls strong style, but is a fan of that team across, you know, on the

other side of MetLife. Who by the way, you know it was kind of a laughing stock for a little while. You're not hanging your opinion on the idea that Daniel Jones is athletic. But I digress. Let's let's start with some of these other teams. I got diamonds and fool gazzes for you. For the Philadelphia Eagles, I'm a fan of Miles Sanders people. Okay, I think Miles Sanders can be in that fourth tier of running back. I think they can be a flex play for you. Here's the thing.

Jordan Howard um who they acquired. Remember I said Philly was gonna be getting a running back all year long, all offseason. I was like, they're gonna get a running back. Maybe it's Shady McCoy, maybe it's Jordan Howard. It turned out to be Jordan Howard. They run the same system in Philly that they do in Chicago. All Right, Jordan Howard is gonna be a plot. Are gonna be an early down guy. They want to develop as many weapons as possible Philadelphia. They are a fantasy heard between Jeffrey

aghilor they get to Shawn Jackson. You know about Earth. They have Goddard as well. They want to have weapons in the passing game. This profile is to be Miles Sanders. In my opinion, Jason, not Jordan Howard, especially in PPR leagues things of that nature. I don't expect Jordan Howard to be much of anything. Go with the rookie Miles Sanders. I think he will lead this committee in Philadelphia this year.

When I talk about a fool gazzy, someone to forget about, it is all relative, Jason, Okay, I am not trying to say that this player is bad. I'm not trying to say Listen, I have shares of this player. This player helped me win fantasy championships last year. But my fool gazzy for the Philadelphia Eagles is going to be Zach. It hurts one, I p all right, And the reason why is because he is going to us from last year. Last year he set an NFL record for tight ends

with a hundred and sixteen catches. You cannot expect him to repeat that. Okay, you can't expect him to repeat that when we have other weapons involved. Now, Okay, they bring into Seawan Jackson, we talk about Miles Sanders. They are talking up the second year the Titan Dallas Goddard. I think zach Ertz is going to be still Carson Wentz, his best friend. I think he is the you know,

second or third best tight end. The only problem is he is not going to be worth the value that you are going to have to draft him in your fantasy league. Someone is going to take zach Ertz in like the third round this year, and I don't believe he's worth that kind of value. I believe your tight ends in your second tier, your Hunter Henry's or O. J. Howard's, your Evan Ingram's, um you're Jared Cooks of the world.

I believe that is going to approximate the same thing unless you're in one of these leagues whereas settings give you extra points for the tight ends, and that's scenario ario. I'm okay with getting Kelsey early. I'm okay with getting Art's early, Okay that sort of thing. But for me, Miles Sanders is the guy. And because it is such a fantasy herd, I am down on zach Ertz this year.

I want to tell you something very very interesting, though, Jason about the Philadelphia Eagles, and you should remember this when you're thinking about division matchups and stuff like that. The Eagles are the only team in the NFL this year that have a stretch where they play back to back to back road games where they have three road games on a row, three real de deal home games, I mean road games in a row. Other teams have

it like with a buy in between. Other teams have it if you count, like the London game and stuff like that, or a mini by with like Thursday night going into Monday. The Eagles are the only team Week six there at Minnesota, Week seven at Dallas, Week eight at Buffalo. Now you would think Buffalo is a game that they should be able to win on their schedule

when you're just looking at opponents. But when I tell you it'll be week eight, whether starting to turn in Buffalo third game in a rub on the road after two NFC contenders, that could be a scheduled loss for the Philadelphia Eagles as well. The Philadelphia Eagles they'll lead this division. Their win total is nine and a half. I would lean a little bit over. But the reason I wouldn't take the over as a bet is because I still do not know about Carson Wentz. His health. Okay,

he got that back injury. It could be like a lot of people think he's gonna be alright for Week one, but at the same time, we have seen these things. Linger I am not positive. I'm a little bit off the Eagles. As I told you, I was the year early on them in the right spot. Okay, but you gotta be one year early on the next team, and I don't think that's the Philadelphia the Eagles. Let me give you the New York Giants right here, because oh, I'm gonna have to start with the Giants, and we'll

get Jason's reaction to it. Let me tell it to him right in his face, and then when we come back on the other side of the break, we can get some reaction. And we could also put the fun in functional sports content. Okay, my Well, first of all, say, kran Barkley is my number one overall player in fantasy Okay, he just is, especially after the Zegellia talking contracts stuff. Okay, Mike Diamond and the rough for the New York Giants

is Evan Ingram. For me, Evan Ingram is a function of the rest of the options and the reckless of the targets that the quarterback has. In year one, he bucked the trend of doing badly for a rookie tight end. He was able to. But why because that season Odell Beckham went down, Sterling Shepherd went down. And the fact that honestly, golden tape doesn't motivate me, Sterling Shepherd doesn't motivate me. I think Evan Ingram is back in that situation where he could

compete for the team lead in t argets. I think that's good enough to be tight end five or six in fantasy this year of all the dearth of weapons, even when Eli Manning in his noodle arm, I think Evan Ingram is in fact someone you could like, who is my fool Gazey for the New York Giants and Jason, what do you think is the right play? The season win total for the Giants is right now. At six, we'll find out from a Giants fan if he actually wants to bet that they will win more than six

Okay, Golden Tate has a very very low a dot. Okay. In Detroit, there are a lot of those quick slants, a lot of those bubble screens. Now here's the difference. When he doesn't Detroit, Jason, he has Kenny Golladay to stretch the field. When he's in Detroit.

He has Marvin Jones to stretch the field. When he's in Detroit, he has Matthew Stafford as a quarterback who likes to be a gun slinger. That was more the design of the offense, Jason. Now in New York, he's got nood alarm Eli Manning at quarterback. Here's the other part, Jason. If you're a defensive coordinator playing against the Giants, I'm putting everyone in the box to defense se Kwon Barkley, right, I'm putting eight nine. They say eight men in the

boxes a lot. I'm putting nine, ten, eleven. I'm putting all fifty three men in the box against Kuon Barkley in that environment with Golden Tate and the slot right there with people right ethan there, I don't know that Golden Tate is uh as someone who works with what they're going to be seeing defensively, I think you need you need an hotel Beckam to stretch the field is what you need. That's why Golden Tate is a little bit of a fughayze for me. What do you think

about this Giants offense? Does that resonate with you? Does that make sense? You talk about in basketball, how they're used in football is the same thing. I just think we're gonna be seeing a lot of people up on the line of scrimmage against these Giants, and who is that guy who's going to scare you over the top? And I understand that, but what are you talking about? We if I put it gunto your head here, six wins over under that one? Okay, you think that's a good number. I also think that it is an interesting number. My problem would be, though, if they do with in fact make the turns to Daniel Jones, They're

going to how many starts do you think Daniel Jones gets? Well, what if I tell you that, um, their bye week, right? Um? The bye week is like, well for Washington it's week ten. Um, you know the bye week is a little bit earlier on in the season. You think they make that move

to Daniel Jones. I think ELI is not getting hurt, right, so it's just gonna be how bad the record is, right, So once they get out of once they get out of contention, yeah, once they got a contention week nine, like two and seven something like that, that's where you have to do that, right, they have to pull the plug on it. You have to realize that we're moving over And so here's my thing that's also could be another thing with all of these giant weapons we talk

about Sterling Shepherd or Golden Tate. I'm talking now to Mendel Bruce and everybody else that's out there with any of these teams that that have a threat of changing quarterbacks in the season. Okay, what's gonna happen? Also here, remember this that new kid that's coming in. They're coming in. We talked about it. What week ten, Week eleven, week twelve. That is exactly when you need your wide receiver three to pop off for your playoff push, right, So don't

give me that. I feel the same way about these other teams. The Washington football team, the Denver Broncos. Okay, Miami, Okay, when they're going to make the move to Josh Rosen, at some point they have to find out about them. They're gonna make the move to Drew Lock. They're gonna make the move. I even think in Cincinnati it's gonna go real bad. And in thee Balton is gonna get pulled.

You have to consider the team they play for the offense, they will be in the kind of situation they will be in if they are in contention or not, because these are the players you are going to need in weeks ten, eleven, twelve, and then of course in the fantasy playoffs when some teams that are at our contention are just letting the kids play. So that is something you absolutely have to say. Gregory Cans theo here says unfortunately,

If this news with you know, Zeke becomes a little bit dicey. Similar to how with Melvin Gordon, I bumped them down a little bit, you would have to bump ze Gellia down and that would mean in my opinion, Levy on Bell would go into there, into the top four. I won't even play enough to like the way they slide at the end of their shop. I wouldn't be coordinated enough to do that, you know what I mean. I'm like, without breaking an ankle, Yeah, exactly. In the first game I played racquetball once, man, I had a dude was talking smack to me that you don't understand what kind of athlete you gotta be to play racketball. And at the time, I was, you know, I was in a hell of a lot better shape than I am now. So I kept telling a guy, you full

of crap. So we threw a couple of bucks down and I get in there and he's all decked out. You know, he's got goggles, he's got you know, brand new equipment. I'm like, God, I'm like, just give me a racket, dude, let me see what's going on here. So I get up, I guess to serve first, and um so I do it, and the ball comes back and hits me square in the cheek. Dude, like like, I could not get out of the way of my own serve, and I just basically put the game. The

guy racketback, I paid him and I left. I had a wealth on the side of my cheek for like three days, and I'm like I can't I'm like, I can't even get up. This is a stupid game. I couldn't even get out of the way of a damn racquetball that I served. I ain't getting on a court with Serena a hundred and ten mile a hour serves. It's just not happening. Man. That's alright, Joe. All we gotta do is predict who's gonna win these things, and
