You're listening to the Fantasy Sports Radio Network. You are now about to witness the strength of fantasy knowledge Fantasy Sports Radio Network. You are now tuned in to the Speeds and spitting Statistician on Fantasy Freestyle. Next on that cipher on the microphone. You know that I'm one of the best, Jack Martinez. You know what it is. It's boy Dame Martinez a k A. Speeds, a k A to Spitting Statistician a k a. The stable Genius and
vocal minority. And welcome to another edition other Fantasy Freestyle right here on the award winning Fantasy Sports Radio Network. I'm your host, SPEEDI spitting Statistician. You already know me. We got already to real deal people in the chat room who represents stats over Beats. We got strong style up in there. We got Jilly Dilley up in here. She's all caught up so she knows what's going on. Dilly Dilly to the Stats over Beat cipher. We got
a good show for you here. Okay, Um today, all right, we are going to break down my takeaways on the Kentucky Derby, which was very important and I want to get after it because we Um had a chance this morning on Make It Rain. And I know a lot of you guys don't necessarily listen all bright and early
in the morning with me, which I accept, I understand. Okay, So what we're gonna do is we I had a chance to interview this morning Todd Pletcher, who was one of the like most iconic you know trainers in the game, okay, and he had some great insights for us around the controversy around the Kentucky Derby, So we'll get into that. I also told you last week I wanted to give
you some April fools for fantasy baseball. I have some people that you need to hop off ship on potentially okay before they turned into fool gazsies forgot about it. And then, as you know, we are always talking football and fantasy football twelve months a year, and this will be no different on this episode, Danny, I think it's episode three seventy four, Big things Okay. So, um, what I want to let you guys know is that I always say, oh man, free agency is done, the draft
is done. This is sort of a downtime. Listen. You may think like wind totals are locked, or your fantasy you know football, you can start ranking people in draft. I'm gonna give you an eye on about you know five or six people that I still think can and will move teams and upset the apple cart when it comes to rankings. That's interesting. We're gonna get to that a little bit later on. And then of course we
will put the fun and functional sports content. Me and Danny Otto down there in the fantasy pit of misery. We're cooking up some things. Both things have to do about I guess the placement of food, Danny. I think that is the most consistent theme with our fun and functional sports content for the stats over beat cipher today is food placement and where where you what you need to do and why it needs to not be in so in places. We'll get to that. As always, we
gotta pull question as well. Okay, if you want to hit me up at spitting speeds. My question was what is your reaction to the Kentucky Derby drama? Okay, do you think Maximum Securities should have been disqualified from the biggest horse race of the year of you right now saying yep, the rules are the rules? Percent say nah,
let it have been avoid the drama. The best horse one and saying, forget about all that, what about all those torn tickets people who bet one way or the other and like through their tickets out or rip them up? Oh my goodness, And of you are saying, well, what even happened? All right? If you want to make your voice hurt, like I said, go on over to at spitting Speeds. You know, I love the stats of beats Cipher. We get down with it. I want to hear what
you have to say about it. So for those of you who do not know, okay, um three million dollar purse rates two minutes in sports on Saturday Kentucky Derby. All right, now here's what's going on. One of the horses, maximum Security, which by the way, was certainly one of
the horse that your boy speeds, ha spitting statistician. Had I had him early in the week at eight to one, you could have heard me on make it rein being like this is the horse we like, we were on it went from eight to one, down to six to one, down to five to one, down to in essence went off and I believe nine to two, which is like four and a half to one. So a lot of people were on it with us, okay, is the leader.
He was a speed horse coming around. He was supposed to be on the early lead, was on the early lead, okay. And then by all accounts, as they're going into the you know, the the final turn for the stretch for home, he like zooms out of his lane about two or three lanes over, almost clipped another horse. War of will bumps into the horse. That horse bumps into like country House.
Then this maximum security corrects himself. Jockey Luis Sayez did an incredible job, incredible job of like centering him right. And then to be honest, was the best horse in the field that day and pulls away a little bit. When's the Kentucky Derby, they you know, announced it. Interview the jockey, he's thanking God, crying. The owner is getting emotional, right, and then it's like whoa, whoa. And I don't know if you've ever been who are racetrack before, but they
put up inquiries all the time. That's not what this was. This was a challenge in essence by one of the other horses. The horse that finished in second place. Okay, country House. By the way, this horse was sixty to one, all right. Then it took twenty two minutes. Okay, there was one of their interview and other people that are like, oh, we don't know what's gonna go on. We don't know. It took twenty two minutes to make a decision. They
finally disqualify Maximum Security. Who was the horse that had just won the Kentucky Derby? Okay, right, and uh, make country House the winner. It bumps up Code of Honor, another horse I had from the three into the two spots and bumps up Tacitus into the three spots. So your new trife, your new trifecta, you know, became country House Code of Honor and Tacitus the new superfecta with a sixty five to one shot on top instead of like a four to one shot paid out Like whoa right,
And now here's the thing. So it's a lot of controversies. Should they have actually disqualified them? Do you actually make that call to you know, change the winner in the
Kentucky Derby? It has never been done. So we interviewed Todd Pletcher yesterday, and you know what's interesting, Todd Pletcher sees the fact that they actually made the decision to disqualify the horse as like it being a good thing that the rules stood because the rules stand for actually deterring horses from anything that would compromise uh, jockey or
horse safety. I was almost gonna say player safety instead of horse safety on this one, right, So so Todd Pletcher is saying that in essence, this shows that, um, it was the primary concern, that the horse and the jockey was the primary concern. Check this one out. Danny played his first clip about the safety as a positive thing.
This is Todd Pletcher, world renowned two time Kentucky Derby winning trainer on with Me this morning on Make It Rain Me and Joe Raneri here on this network talking about how actually the fact that they reinforced the rule and and like swallow the whistle and feel the pressure of the Kentucky Derby was actually a good thing. Play that clip. Danny Racing can draw from this is that the jockeys and horses safety as paramount and you know,
in the biggest moment, they made the right call. And uh, you know sometimes another sports fill swallow the whistle and you know, a crunch time. In this case, they they made what undoubtedly was the most difficult decision to make in horse racing. History, or at least that I can think of. And you know, but they buy the rules. They made the correct call, all right, So they so that's one thing, Okay, he says they made the right
call to actually reinforce the rules. Now, when I was talking to Joe, you know this morning, I'll make it rain, we were like, oh, man, you know, country House gets to win, maximum Security gets a d cute and Joe was like, not, Honestly, the real kudos goes to War of Will. The horse that got bumped into almost had his heels clipping with you know, with Maximum Security. And Joe made a great point that I wanted to reiterate that. Then Todd Pletcher reiterated this idea. This could have been
an abject disaster. It is amazing that this horse War of Will even stood upright. They literally click heels. You've seen the replays. Imagine if this horse goes down and then all of a sudden, we've got a seventeen horse pile up in the greatest event in sports. It's almost it would be like if Tom Brady got got decapitated and brain damage on a concussion in the Super Bowl and he had to get like floor boarded and and and and whisked away in the ambulance. It would be
that much of a black eye. And that's literally what should have happened in that race when Maximum Security jumped three lanes over. Imagine being in a like the four oh five. You got Jilly Dilley, you know, shout out by the way, Jilly Dilley to you and yours. I know, I think you're still in Florida, but I was gonna think about you and Cali, like on the four oh five on a freeway with five lanes over, imagine you just room ree lanes over. You would cause a ten
car pile up. It is amazing that that did not happen in the highest profile event in the sport. And to be quite honest, that's another thing Todd Fletcher was happy about. Go to that clip Danny about credit. You know, we're crediting actually whore of Will the horse and Louis Saias the Jackie the jockey to avert like absolute disaster.
Scias thought that that maybe he heard the crowd. You know, it's kind of at that point we're just getting ready to turn for home and there's a massive people, you know, in a roaring crowd there. But whatever it was, it was not Louise Saias's fault. The horse clearly scooped from something and quickly veered out three paths, and Louis did a tremendous job of recovering as quickly as he could and he corrected it. But you know, by that time
the damage was done. And like you said, had Ward Will, who if you watch them still footage, his front legs are literally in between the hind legs of maximum security if he goes down and clips heels, similar to what we saw in the Kentucky Yoakes the day before where the Philly clipped heels and the rider came down. If that happens at that point, who knows how many horses
could have potentially went down. So it was it was a great job by Tyler Gaffleon and war Will to keep his horse up, and you know, great job by Ward Will himself to be able to maintain his balance. Yeah, absolutely, because listen, this story would be a lot different right now. If we were talking about having to put down fourteen horses on the backstretch of the damn Churchill Downs Monday morning, the major news media wouldn't be like oh, there was
this disqualification. They would say, Oh my god, horse racing as we know it in the United States is over because fourteen horses had to be put down in front of a hundred and ten thousand people in the Kentucky Derby. Okay, that would be crazy. In the chat room, by the way, my man's strong style saying, yeah, that's why there's lanes
for safety reasons. But you can't put barriers up those strong style, which is what he's also suggesting, because they do move around, they go to the outside, you can go to the inside. There's just rules. You're not allowed to move over until you're clear of the other horse. That's what it comes down to. By the way, Bob Money is up in here right now in the chat room as well. I'll give you love on the niners, um in a second. I've given you my thoughts on
the Niners before. We'll talk about them again in the next segment, for sure. But here's the thing. Then I asked him, one of the things I tell you every single year about the Derby, okay, is that the Preakness, the second race is the easiest handicap you got the Derby winner usually and then all the other horses that were big contenders. They a lot of times take the Preakness off because it's only two weeks later, okay, and they wait until the Belmont Stakes in five weeks to
take their other Detroit chance at beating the champion. Okay, But this year you've got Country House at one horse we actually finished second. You hear now that Maximum Security is not gonna race. I asked Todd Pletcher, what's he
gonna do with some of his horses? Do you think now the Preakness, which by the way, usually has five six seven horses running, not the nineteen twenty of the Kentucky Derby, do you think more people will run this time at the Preakness trying to take a shot at what might be a paper tiger champion, what might be a guy a horse that others still think they could be. Go to that actual clip, Danny over at seven fifty five, like I was saying, you know, not the first clip,
but like this whole range for about fifty seconds. Listen to what Plagues said. He said, that is a good point by the way that your boys becosition made and that yes, this may impact jockeys, trainers, other farms, decisions on if they're going to try their luck at the Preakness this year, Danny, let me hear it went down. Maybe people think they can actually have a chance to win now um, two weeks from now at Pimlico. Yeah,
I definitely think they will have some effect. You know, sometimes when you have you know, a dominant winner in the Derby and and you know what appears to be a prohibitive favorite going into the Preakness, some people might decide to to sit back and wait for the Belmont or even you know, wait for summer races like the Travers or Huskel or what have you. But you know, in this case, with with you know, the ultimate winner
having essentially finished second in the race. And then I think this, if if country House does decide to running the Freakness, which I'm pretty sure he will, I think I think it will be his fourth race in eight weeks, so you know, he could potentially be vulnerable and and I think he'll see you know, more horses take a shot at it because of that. Well, yeah, that's good Danny and then asked him I follow up about his
his specific horse cutting humor. Who um had Mike Smith on the mount and finished I believe, you know, the middle of the pack. And I was like, does this change your impact your calculus on bringing him back in two weeks, you know, And he says, we gotta see how he takes you know, see how we responds to after his effort in the derby. Will know in a few days. But I thought it was really interesting some
of the insights that Todd Pletcher has. And as for this, you know, kind of uh controversy, saw we say, you know, most of you guys right now say, yep, enforce them the rules of the rules. I kind of agree. It just sucks that I was holding a ticket from maximum security to win the damn derby, Okay, And that would have been nice. That would have been me helping everybody
win that cash, you know what I'm talking about. But I say it all the time, right like, uh, a foul in the first quarter, Like right now, you got you know, Boston and Milwaukee playing in Game four. A foul in the first quarter should be the same as a foul in the fourth quarter. A win in April should be the same as win in September for a
baseball team, you know, that sort of thing. And the crowd right now, I believe it's heering because I think it's Marcus Smart that's checking back in for the Boston Celtics after an absence. The Celtics are up early in the first quarter in that Eastern Conference semifinal. But I digress. This is what I mean, Um, I think they should
have enforced it. I guess. You know, the more and more you see you see that he did in fact, like across multiple lanes of traffic, and the more and more you see them actually clip the heels of the other horse, it's like, oh man, that was actually really really dangerous. But here's one other piece though that I haven't heard many people talking leave it to your boy, the stable genius in vocal minority. I think this is a problem again, I say it with every sport, instant
replay has gotten too good. When I saw that horse race live, I had no you couldn't tell. You didn't think it was really an infraction. You didn't think he really bumped anybody. He was the best horse, he no one was in front of him, and he pulled away. Again, it's the same as like when you see certain players in the NFL and you're like, that was a catch and remember how I've always said you should ask a panel of five guys at the bar, hey was that a catch? And they're like, yep, that was a catch.
You know. But when you slow it down frame by frame and pixel by pixel and listen for every little possible thing, you're gonna find something. And I think it wasn't until I saw the replay over and over again in different ankles angles and literally zoomed in on how he clipped in, and I was like, oh, yeah, that
wasn't infraction. I wonder if this Kentucky Derby of two thousand nineteen was run when Secretariat was was written, or or or a Man of War was running, if they would have had the technology to disqualify the winning horse maximum security. I actually don't think so. I remember, my platform is this replay ruins everything. It's too good at this time of at this time in our society, when we could zoom in too much and get so many
different angles. I think we You know, if you replay almost anything, you can come to a conclusion, and I think that's part of what happens. Although when you have that info, I guess it was the right deal. When we come back here on the Fantasy Freestyle. We're gonna switch gears. We're gonna go into a little fantasy baseball, a little fantasy football. I'm gonna tell you who are the April fools and fantasy baseball who are plying to regress.
And in fantasy football, we're gonna talk about some guys that are still out there that can change rankings and depth charts. So keep an eye out from that Dilly Dilly to Jilly Dilly strong style and the rest that's over. Beatspher, come on back this fantasy freestyle. You heard Brains make it rain. Big shout out to Adam Sandler, who hosted Saturday Night Live, which yeah does I can't stand the generation now, so it was actually kind of cool to be able to get a throwback there and Ittation do
nothing but throwback episodes from here on out. Everything else you do sucks right now. Like if I gotta say any more those things. After it's officiating and replay, ruining sport and horse racing. There's gonna be weird decisions, Weird things gonna happen. People are freaking out about the officiating, the players in the NBA. He had a foul Conference Championship games were, ain't it. That's say for ramp things. That's like one of the worst calls in the history of sport. I thought the Chiefs got host. It seems that we've talked about it. With baseball. We can't enjoy anything anymore. We better check
the tape. That's where we're at week days nine am e staring on F and T s Y Radio and on your popular podcast Providers. Jerrt up in there as well. And honestly, I didn't know like in between in between segments here, Okay, I do a lot of things. I'm over here checking my YouTube TV, looking at the looking
at the Celtics Milwaukee game. I'm over here looking at live odds on the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago White Sox, And you know, I'm checking out the chat room. Like you said, you know a little tribe on that right now. Strong Style represent and I'm also listening to the commercials and we literally just heard Gabe more Ensei talking about that same thing about, you know, replay and the officiating in sports, and he mentioned it in baseball, in football,
I'm talking about in horse racing. I'm telling you it's ruining the fan experience on some level. We gotta sit and wait for replays. Even in soccer. Now I see it now every goal they go like this, boom, boom boom, They're gonna v A R it, you know, something like that. It's absolutely crazy. It's a little bit too much for my taste. I think it ruins this fan experience. I'm telling you, if that Kentucky Derby was one fifty years ago, maximum Security would be the winner. They wouldn't have the
technology to see that. But I digress. Yeah, there you go, Perry A talking about my v A R right there. That's what I'm talking about. But in any event, all right, so let's do I want to do a little fantasy baseball real quick, and then I'm gonna talk about my fantasy football impact targets that are still on the move. Okay, last week I told you about April Fools, and I want to explain the category that people in fantasy baseball
need to know about. Um, they talk about all these advanced stats right now, right, and I'm gonna tell you about a stat that I really like in terms of projecting offense in fantasy baseball, and the status called babbit. Okay, babbit BABI stands for batting average on balls in play. Okay, that average on balls in play, and so the league average on that is three hundred. And if you have a really high babbit, that means you're probably getting lucky.
That means you're getting more cn I singles going through, you're getting you're getting an inordinate amount of balls that you hit, are actually dropping Okay, the batting average on the balls you put in play because it takes out the strikeouts out of the equation, which, by the way, something up to of Major League baseball at bats. But if your babbit is really high, unless you're like a really really fast guy, your prime for regression. So I made this point maybe earlier in the month in April,
that guys would hide babbits early in the season. Their food gazes their fools gold, okay, and you may look to watch and anticipate their regression and I'm gonna tell you some of them babbit leaders. And I was gonna bring this last week, and then I rechecked them and guess what all of them they're batting averages have gone down last last week. I was gonna tell you about David Dahl. You may have him. He's off to a hot start. He was hitting three thirty eight last week.
But guess what is babbit was four eighty nine and now he's all the way down to three or three. He's lost thirty five points of batting average in the last week. The fact that his babbit was so high at four eighty nine, I could have told you that regression was coming. That was not sustainable. Same for Elvis Andrews. His babbit was four three. He's gone down in the last week from three sixty five to three thirty three.
Some of this is natural regression, right, but the babbit is what you can see, will in fact clue you in that it's unsustainable. Here's another one, um David Peralta. His babbit was four twelve batting average on balls in play. That's unsustainable. What do you know? His averages down thirteen points in the last week. Similarly, Shin sue Chu babbit had a high babbit, it's now his regular batting average plummeting.
This week, Jean Sigura Christian Walker is another one. Train Man Seni, although he missed some games this week another one Okay, So I'm just trying to say, generally speaking, I really like babbit as a stat because the flip
side is true too. You see a guy with a two twenty babbit, he's getting unlucky and and and those balls are gonna start dropping, Those are gonna be those line drives are gonna start becoming singles, those gappers are gonna start being doubles instead of getting caught that sort of thing. And so if you're looking for guys that you think are on the start of a hot streak or are sustainable, check to that number BAB if it stands for batting average on balls in play. I think
it's really important. I think it's a stat that people should look at when they're looking to pick up offensive players. But a that's just me, and I call it April fools because you know, maybe that that babbit was unsustainable in April, so they're gonna be a fool. They're gonna turn into a fool, you know what I'm saying. But in any event, we got a lot of other stuff to get to. UM. I got a pull question up on Twitter at spitting speeds, you want to share your
reaction for the maximum security disqualification. I also got a phone number if you guys want to holler at me, the numbers three four seven seven six seven six six one four. Again the numbers three four seven seven six seven six six one four if anybody in the chat or anybody else wants to get down. But the stats over beat Cipher and hollow at the spitting statistic. And I'm checking the live score over here the White Sox and the Indians and um, a man Trevor Bauer on
the hill. It's not going the way I would have thoughts earlier in this game. Trevor Bauer, by the way, is that guy we talked about him last year at the sixty nine Days of Giving given two different charities every day. I thought that was very very cool. I also thought he would deliver for me here, uh in this spot against the White Sox. But that's not, unfortunately happening right now. But we got a little time to go, get a little time to go And it's not like
I need Cleveland. Maybe I just need to run toldal, you know, but any event, but I want to talk about in fantasy football. Let's get to fantasy football, because a lot of people think that, oh, okay, after the free agency period, after the draft, that there's like a lot of room for downtime in the NFL. You know that you're thinking up at this point, we can relax a little bit. There's not gonna be much movement, is not gonna be much intrigue until say mini camps or
anything like that. And I I for the most part that might be true. But I'm looking out here and I want to tell you guys so you can get ahead of it real deal fantasy football. People that play three six, that are thinking about dynasties, that are thinking about depth charts, that are thinking about, you know, how to potentially even start to fleece owners in dynasty league soon. I want you to keep an eye on some things.
Here's what I want you to keep an eye on for the next oh, I don't know, three weeks until many camps really start to open, which a rookie mini camps starts to open, which I think is like late May, early June. There's a few players out there that I still think are either gonna be like salary cap kind of casualties or what have you, will have impact on other teams. Most of them are running backs that you need to think about that I wouldn't quo. I would,
I would. I would ask you guys to explore or or pay attention to the news you hear about these guys moving forward and what it could mean. First guy I want to talk about is Shady McCoy. Now, we talked about Sandy McCoy last week, but because he was spoiling the Avengers right or two weeks ago, because he was spoiling Avengers, not necessarily because of you know, where his place would be. I said from the beginning, like remember when I said Jordan Howard was gonna get traded
from the Bears, and he ultimately did. Every single time I talked about this, I also said, I think Shady McCoy is getting traded as well. Shandy McCoy, what where is his spot anymore? The Bills they signed Frank Gore, remember, and then recently they just signed t J. Yelden. What exactly is Shady McCoy's role on this team. Are they gonna do they think Shady McCoy is their workhorse three down back, because if they do, they don't spend enough.
They don't spend money signing to free agents in the free agent market at running back, especially to that have such distinct roles, like Gore at what he is at this part of his career, being in between the tackles early down guy. T J yelled in clearly being the ad in the passing game. Do you really think they have a spot for Shady's money as well? I don't know. And he and then here's the other part. They drafted Devin Singletary as well in Buffalo. Okay, they're investing in
a different way, a cheaper way. They found Yellden and Gore on early kind of you know, low class deals. They drafted the kid. I don't think. I think Shady McCoy might get cut. I think Shady McCoy might get traded and and and think about it, if you think about teams are running back holes, the Houston Excellence who I always mentioned, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who I always mentioned, you know, Carolina, do they really want to give McCaffrey
all that work Green Bay. I've been talking about getting Aaron Rodgers weapons and is Jamal Williams and Aaron Jones those dudes. Do you believe that Leonard Fournette is the only guy in Jacksonville that they're gonna they trust him? Do you believe that Indianapolis loves Marlon mack and not Heem Heines enough if a if A Shady McCoy was out there and available, some teams to look at. But I think they're gonna cut Shady McCoy. I I don't
think you draft Devin Singletary. I don't think you signed Gore and t J Yelden to invest that much unless it's dead man walking for Shady McCoy. All right, Shady McCoy has had injuries, he's on the wrong side of thirty. He costs a lot of money. I think the Buffalo Bills are ready to walk on from Shady McCoy. There's
one another guy is Duke Johnson on Cleveland. Okay, people are all excited about the Cleveland Browns a year right, Odell Beckham, Uh, you know Kareem Hunt, By the way, who they have Remember they got Nick Chubb as the breakout rookie. Right, they also have Kareem Hunt. What does that mean for a guy like Duke Johnson. There are weapons everywhere in Cleveland, from in Joku to Odell to Landry to the kid Callaway who they drafted last year. Baker deploying in them all. What are they gonna do
with Duke Johnson. There were rumors about a month ago that they were exploring trades with Duke Johnson. There were rumors that the Eagles were interested, there were rumors that the Jets were interested. There were rumors that a few teams were interested. I think Duke Johnson, by the way, is someone who can really help a uh AN offense, like say a Houston Texans. Again, remember like Lamar Miller,
they have they let Alfred Blue walk. Deante Foreman has been a guy that I've been on, but injury wise, has never been okay, right. Imagine a guy like Duke Johnson adding to the crew in Houston with the Texans. I'm telling you this would move the needle. There are people out there, there are positions out there, there are scenarios and situations out there where it could move the needle. I think Duke Johnson would be a viable flex in PPR settings if he would have wind up somehow on Houston.
I'll give you another one very two more that are very similar profiles to Duke Johnson. Okay, maybe the Texans again, Maybe the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Right, maybe the Atlanta Falcons if they don't believe in the health of Davonte Freeman. Okay, I mentioned Shady McCoy mentioned Duke Johnson as a PPR kind of guy. What about two more PPR kind of running backs. You know what? You know what the Detroit
Lions did this year. They signed C. J. Anderson. They expect big things out of my man carry On Johnson in his second year. Where does that leave THEO Ritic? THEO Ritic was an afterthought in the second part of the year for the Detroit Lions. This is a guy who has eighty catches in a season. You're telling me if a team wanted to deploy THEO Riddic as a pass catching back, you tell me the Dallas Cowboys wouldn't even want that as a pass catching back to compliment
a Zeke Elliott. THEO Rittic could move the needle in some formats. Key, I believe will have a different team not the Detroit Lions. In about two months add him to the Duke Johnson kind of you know, opportunity. I'll give you another one, same kind of situation. You gotta three down start back in Joe Mixon, you had them. The Cincinnati Bengals drafted two running backs in the second round. You're telling me if a team needed a scat back out of the backfield, that Giovanni Bernard doesn't have some
kind of value. Still, I think Duke Johnson, Theo Riddic, Geo Bernard, these are guys that if they landed in the right situation, and I told you a few, they would be viable. They could upset the apple cart for a guy like Lamar Miller. Chris Thompson said, a strong style. There's another one, right, They've got Darius guys coming back. They drafted Bryce Love, They've got Adrian Peterson there. You're telling me, honestly, the Tampa Bay Bucks with Bruce Arians
right now. They drafted Ronald Jones last year, who was f Forget about him? Right? And what do you have there that you like? Not Charles Sims pop quiz Jock Quiz. People didn't believe in Peyton Barber, you're telling me, Perry says his number one RB next year. Zeke. I think it's between Zeke, Elliott, se Kwan Barkley. It depends on the format, alright, Perry. And if it's PPR, I think you gotta consider, you know, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara top five as well. Levy and Bell will be in
the mix. Um. But yes, Zeke is definitively in my top three. Uh. Him and se Kwan I think have to be in the top three. I can understand in PPR formats, Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamar Row. There's a lot um. By the way, John Vargas vas Vavajas says, um, I would love Duke Johnson on Houston, maybe even more on Tampa. Yeah, these are fits, Okay, that's right. Ingram is not there anymore. They signed Latin Murray instead pushing I think Camara to be um, you know, a top five kind of play.
DJ Dave Johnson has a bounce back, I think also in that Cliff Kingsbury system. Yes, let me give you another one, and this one people aren't gonna like. But Tyreek Hill is gonna get snapped up. I think Tyreek Hill make it cut. Tyreek Hill gonna get suspended. Guess what, Kareem Hunt got cut. Dreem Hunt landed somewhere. Watch out if you were in a Dynasty format and the owner of Tyreek Hill drops them, it's an ethical thing for you. But he's gonna land somewhere. Okay, I'm telling you that
right now. Also, let me tell you a couple of way this plays out. Offensive line. I know it's not sexy, but I talk about offensive line and all the time. In Cincinnati, they drafted Jonah Williams number I think eleven overall. Uh, that tackle that was their Bobby Heart can help someone else. In Houston, I told you about the offensive line there. I said how they must protect the Shawn Watson as a priority. In the offseason, they drafted two tackles in
the first and second round. That's leaving maybe a guy like Chantrell Henderson out there unavailable. In Philadelphia, they traded up to get Dillard in the first round. Okay, they think he could be a swing tackle. They're preparing for a world potentially in some in a year or two without Jason Peters or without Lane Johnson. Okay, Um there's a guy that they had that they signed. I can't pronounce it well, Vita. I there other offensive lineman, they're
understudy guy. He might be viable somewhere else. These are guys that might be on the cutting room floor soon. So if you're a team like say the Minnesota Vikings that needs to augment your offensive line, if you're a team that's been prioritizing that, like maybe the Los Angeles Chargers, the Denver Broncos, maybe you want to under the New York Jets. Maybe you want to understand what that could do. And I say what that could do for um ol Avion Bell in the past or Sam Donald in the
passing game, and the last one on noil name. Here on the defensive side, there is one huge name, bigger than any free agent out there, like an Indomican Seward Ziggyanza. There is one huge impact defensive player that honestly, I think might get cut because this team is not going to spend, you know, like fifty million dollars on two defensive lineman and this team already and this team has a franchise potential situation with this guy, and this team
already has J. J. Watt on their defensive line. I'm talking about the Houston Texans, and I'm talking about Jadeveon Clowney. There is buzz that Jadeveon Clowney may not be with the Houston Texans by the start of this football season. And if that is true, Okay, if that is true and he goes somewhere else, a team that may be missed out on an edge rusher that thinks he could
be the cherry on top watch out for that. A team like perhaps the New York Jets who thought that they were getting Anthony Barr or something like that, didn't a Josh Allen in the in the draft could be something like that. It is interesting with Clowney. I think they were talking about franchising him. They're not gonna spend ultimately the money on him on a long range deal. They already have J. J. Watt. He's in a Kirk Cousins esque and Earl Thomas esque kind of situation. Okay,
So see what see what happens with Daveon Clowney. Um right, he wants more money. Maybe one of these teams like the Indianapolis Colts who didn't spend money at we got in the off season the New York Jets who still have money. Maybe they're saving a portion of that for a team like him. Who are the other backs in Minnesota? It's gonna be it's Dalvin Cook and then you know some it's not Latin Murray anymore. That's an interesting idea as well. All right, So when we come back, here's
what we're gonna do. We're gonna put the fun and functional sports content Danny I. We're gonna talk about food placement, and we're gonna answer some questions out there. Um, you know, just st that's over each side. It's the morning after no potential triple crown now, right, So financially, I get it to hippot Any wanted said to ever touch the horse racing industry notes it's filled with peril. Quit everybody from the owners and trainers and drivers and jockey to
everyone involved at a horse. You never know what's gonna happen. And it's thrown like throwing a football. Two out of the three things can be bad. We day's not. Mm hmmm, mm hmm. Welcome back Fantasy Freestyle here. You know what it means. It's been statistician um a lot of people in the chat roo. I'm thinking about this right now in the way of where else could it go? You know, somebody asked about Minnesota. Listen, Minnesota they got Dalvin Cook and not a lot else besides behind that. You know, they signed them Abdullah late last season. They drafted somebody that chat is right, unimpressive that and and Dalvin Cook, as we know, you know, has his own
injury concerns. Right, so Minnesota could be a spot strong style is mentioned in Oakland as a spot for some of these guys. Listen, they drafted Josh Jacobs. Many people believe he could be in a good spot for Fantasy as a rookie. He could potentially be a three down back, you know, no Marshawn Lynch, Isaiah Crowell, the crow Show towards Achilles and the practice. Right, so there's an opportunity there.
You got guys like Jalen Rochard I think still uh de Washington still right, but that could be a spot. All I'm saying is there are still moves potentially out there, guys like brand names that you know, Shady McCoy, Theo Riddic, Duke Johnson, Jadeveon Clowney that may move. Okay, And so before you go into like ranking people, there's still a little bit of work left to be done. But I digress, Okay, I digress here. Let's get into it. Let's put the
fun and functional sports content. Big shout out to the status over beat Cipher. You know how we always like to have a little bit of fun, and so today, Danny, I would I noticed a few things um about food recently that I just thought was funny. We're gonna contrast. We're gonna compare and contrast. Yes, strong Stole, we got early rankings. You know what it is. Please we put out a draft. Let me tell you something actually, strong, Stop before we get into this about right after the
season or during the playoffs. People here on this network. We did an early, way too early draft for this year's fantasy team. I had the number two overall pick. Someone drafted I believe it was se Kwon Barkley number one overall. You know who I drafted number two overall in this last year and is way too early. I drafted Levy on Bell. I was like, people forgot about this, right And then someone on social media was like, ha
ha ha, this guy is an idiot. Um, of course you go girly, And I was like, you know, you're talking about eight months from now what we're gonna do. This is all about trying to create conversation and that you know, like you think I'm crazy, and obviously it's girly.
Obviously it's girly. Now what do we know that girly is in like Arthritick, like he has the knees of his fifty seven year old Levy on Bell winds up once again as a three horse back with a team that's gonna use them out of the passing game as well. The Rams go ahead and draft the guy who I've been telling you to keep an eye on in Henderson Adam Memphis that he's gonna actually take some work, in
my opinion, especially if if girlies are thritic. Yeah, people want to say so, yes, there are um way too early rankings and drafts and stuff like that. But YO, sometimes we give you those nuggets and as strong style saying yeah, now, the idea of Levan Bello a Todd Gurley doesn't sound so crazy. Now us not known about girly sounds like a valid idea. You know, people think that the number one back is just always gonna be the number one back in the future or the following year.
It just doesn't happen that way. There is churn among the top five or the top seven at every position. Okay, That's why when I give you my guys, it's not like I'm not giving you Antonio Brown every year. I'm telling you who do I like, And you know, number five through ten, who's gonna have, who's gonna be ascending, Who's gonna continue to grow and be that guy? You know who you can have at value. But I digress.
Let's talk about this food Danny Um. First of all, Danny, if when I show the picture that I'm about to show, would you consider this a spoiler in any way shape reformed because I don't want people knowing when we talked about spoiling the Avengers a couple of weeks ago, this isn't a spoiler. Right. We're gonna put up a still from Game of Thrones, but it's not a spoiler, right. I don't think it's a spoiler. But here's the thing. Game of Thrones is literally one of the only shows
I don't want. I don't watch it either, so I don't know anything about anything, and I don't think I'm letting any cats out of the bag. Okay, and by the way, Perry Baker, I think is also a top ten quarterback. I think you're right. I think that offense with Kitchens is gonna be crazy this year, all right. I think they're winding up. I think they're gonna wind the Actually, I think that I think the hype has
gone a little too far. Remember I was early with them that I thought they were gonna win the division, and then now that and I thought it was a bold thing. Now it's like they're actually the favorites to do so. So I think the hype has gone a little too far. But I think Baker for Fantasy is gonna be great, I put the I'll put the Browns at nine and seven this year. Will that get them into the playoffs? I'm not sure, but we'll see in
any event. Um, let's put this up. Danny put up this image that I think is crazy bad product placement. Al Right, Game of Throw owns all this stuff. Check this out, you go out that art, that that arrow, Danny, correct me if I'm wrong, Danny, But um, Game of Thrones was in like the middle the mid the mid ages, right, like it's olden times, right, But you know, I you know, I haven't watched it, but you know, like you know, you got the knights, and you got the dragons and
you got all that stuff. I know, Julie, I'm sorry. I I don't watch the Game of Thrones. I'm sorry, but Julie, check this out then tell me. Then tell me what the hell is a Starbucks coffee a cup of coffee doing there? If this was olden times? Why why? Why? Why why is there a store buck mug? Well, disposable plastic? That's not cool? Danny? Um, is this just like funny product placement? Like how all the phallic images and the Disney's like Aladdin and and the Mermaid the little mermaider
in there? Or was this just like a p a who wound up putting it there and forgot and in the editing process it's slipped through everybody's cracks. I I have a third option. I'm going crazy theory that we're gonna find out in the last episode that Game of Thrones takes place in the modern times. I realized it was all purgatory. Yeah, yeah, so interesting. I like that theory,
full on theory that this is. I like that theory. Interesting, Danny. Interesting. Okay, so we've got that going on bad food placement right now, Danny. I'm about to try and get my computer set up here to show us this next one. Okay, And because I got a fan in a I think this is a Texas Rangers game, uh, you know, in the last week or so. Okay, and here's what we got. First of all, Danny, I've been to a lot of baseball games in my life. I've never had anything close come
like a foul ball has never even come close to me. Okay, but check out, we're gonna do this. Let's let's set this up. Always said, let's go to it. See if we can get to this yeah, okay, now I'm gonna play this okay, and check out number five right here, this Dodgers fan guy. Okay, he's got he's got some fries and a new favorite video. By the way, you liked this, right, Danny? Alright, check this out. He's got fries and stuff. He's up up up. Nope. Oh, he
drops the ball and he drops the fries. Now that's expensive. Chicken fingers and fries, Now that's expensive, Danny. How much guys repping Corey Cigar? Okay, how much do you think the fries and chicken fingers cost at the stadium. I'm guessing fifteen at least. So he was like, damn, I lost my food, but I got the ball, so it's all good, right, But I'm out about twenty bucks. Bucks. You know what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna go to the concession stand. I'm gonna get more food. Do you
think that I think that's logical so far, right, Danny? Yeah, definitely? All right. So check this out. Literally an inning later, as he's coming back from getting his new food because he dropped the other ones. Look what happens, Danny. He's coming down the railing and up I got a pizza. Well, oh I dropped it again. I dropped my food again, Danny. This is the same guy. Let's let it play one
more time. Okay, this is the first time. Dude drops his fries and his chicken fingers number thirty five over here is like ha ha right. Then literally like five minutes later he gets the ball, same guys going for it al and he drops the pizza. Danny, all right, we can bring it back now. This is my favorite video like this one better this week is better than the Game of Starbucks. I do because this is real life. Okay, well you know that is that's sensitive stuff. Okay, people
think that game throws things is real. It is real sensitive Okay, but yeah, what better clip? Better clip? Okay, strong style says chicken fingers me out of Warriors. Game is thirty dollars and then I'm telling you and then the pizza too, So this is like fifty dollars. I bet that that sou ball that you caught needs to be at least fifty dollars um. So you know, guys, we like to have a little bit of fun. I
will end it today. What do we got, Danny? Like two minutes or something like that, right, Danny, good about four fantastic? I have the audio of of the announcers. Will This whole thing was they don't need to get into all that. People saw what they wanted, but people saw it. It was funny. Um if you if you want to know the truth, Um, what do we have here? Well, by the way, the Chicago White Sox are roping Trevor Bauer here today. Um, absolutely ridiculous. Now the White Sox
are a five one on Trevor Bauer stud picture. You may you may have thought that they would have been able to shut down the White Sox today, but uh, I was incorrect in that assessment. Unfortunately so far, but not even I want to leave you guys with a nice story. Okay, out of the draft. We hear all the bad stories out of the draft, Danny, check this out. And and when I when I start talking about this, Danny, people are gonna think I'm being silly. People are gonna
think that there's a weird like and I'm not. I'm this is a great act. Okay, I'm not being silly. There's a guy. Um, you know people in the chatman we're asking about the forty niners. I like Deebo Samuel I liked um Jalen heard. I believe as they're white outs, I think they needed to do something to address wide receiver, and they did in the draft. You gotta love Bosa, you know. I think they're primed and ready to be a team on their way up. I don't think they
make it all the way. They may be a seven win team kind of thing. But they drafted a guy, uh, Danny named Dre Greenlaw in the fifth round. This guy's like a cornerback. Okay, he was in the secondary, out of Arkansas and out of nowhere. About a week ago, a guy named Jerry Dale's took to the media, gave some interviews, and wanted to give props to this guy, Dre Greenlaw. Danny, if I gave you a million reasons, you would not guess why. A million guesses, you would
not guess why. So I'm only gonna give you one guess. This random man is shouting out and giving props to this random fifth round pick of the forty nine news. Can you guess why? Uh, You're not gonna be righteous, guess. Uh. He's friends with his dad close. Um, this guy Dre green Law was actually friends with this guy's daughter. Okay, friends with this guy's daughter. They went to high school together, then they went to college together at Arkansas. Okay, Dre
green Law. Apparently when these guys were back in their freshman year, back in their freshman year, when they were nineteen years old. Okay, and this guy is a high level of college athlete. He can't be you know, seen doing bad things. Right, um that he knew this this guy's daughter high school. They were at a party together, Danny and his kids saw. I saw this girl remembers
from high school. Un but she was really really drunk, didn't know the guy she was talking to, and the girl was asking him for help because apparently this other guy roof feed her and was trying to forcibly take
her home with him. And Dre green Law, by the way, it was not supposed to be drinking, not supposed to be at a party, had a lot to risk, right, decided to confront this dude and like in essence protect or save her friend his friend from going home after being roof fied with this random dude at a freshman dorm party, and the guy said, listen, I hadn't spoken
out about this because he could have gotten trouble. The football player could have got in trouble for being at a Keger off campus or whatever it was, right, but he to come out and say, um, props to this guy. This guy may this guy randomly may have saved my daughter's life one time, or at least prevented her or saved her from getting you know, sexually abused. And and he came out there. So I just wanted to, you know, tip my captain, this guy Dre Greenlaw, because you don't
hear these stories all the time. You don't hear about the good in people a lot, you know what I'm saying. You you hear, you hear about all the all the bad stuff. And this guy, you know, risked what um, his scholarship, you know, and that sort of thing to do the right thing and protect somebody. By the way, strong style is now saying popcorn, soda and other food for a movie for like four people is like eighty bucks. Good gracious, you know what I'm saying. But big shout
out to the stats over Pete Cipher. As always, I'll be back here next week hopefully, hopefully my bets going a little bit better. We'll see he's still got time, Tell you later does your face
