And welcome to another edition of the Fantasy Freestyle right here on the Sports Grid Network, episode number four hundred and thirty four four hundred and thirty fourth convening of the Stats over Beat Cipher, where we help you when your leagues and when that hat. She's kind of like a season finale. Addition, you know we're going into the super Bowl. We got through fantasy drafts, we got through the bye weeks, we got through the playoffs.

Some of us won our leagues and one that cash. We got through the playoffs. We got through dfs, banging it left and right, getting some mixture. We've made our picks against the kids, and now we arrive along with the forty Niners and the Chiefs down in Miami for the Big Game. I'm supposed to call it the Big Game. It is, in fact um, So we got a good show for you. All right, We're gonna do what we usually do. It's been a while, okay, the real deal.

Stats of a beat Cipher have not heard Fantasy freestyle for a couple of weeks. So we got some things to catch up on, all right. We gotta catch up on speeds versus the kids, all right, because Danny, we have some decisions to make on that. My man Danny outdo down there in the pit of misery. Stats of beat Cipher as usual, we got some decisions to make on speeds versus the kids. We got and we got

speeds and spitting statisticians Leans for the Super Bowl. There is a good reason this game is one and a half one half a point in places. I actually think it's gonna close closer than the one and a half point line that FanDuel has right now. I actually think that the total is gonna move a little bit. So we gotta talk about Leans at this point. I reserve the right to give more information throughout the week on make it rain or otherwise, so we gotta do that.

But what we are going to focus on today for the status of Beat Decipher, where we put the fun and functional sports contents, the prop bets. We got proper palooza people. We've got everything from Jimmy g rushing yards to the color Gatorade to literally a new term that has been coined in the American lexicon as of Oh, I don't know whenever the South Point released the damn props.

We're going to talk but cleavage as well here going up into the big game here in Miami, Okay, So we're gonna have fun that we will break it all out because listen, I don't care if it's reality TV, E gaming or prop bets about Shakira. We're here to make some cash, all right. So we're gonna go through those. What the goal is, man Danny Otto down there in the pit of misery. He's got a couple of extra free bets he can make. Also, in the Pro Bowl yesterday, we saw something that I think went under the radar because obviously everybody is mourning the loss of Kobe Bean bryant Um. But we saw something that football wise, I think it was very interesting. They tried that new experimental on side kick, which is not a kick at all. Okay, it's going for it on fourth and fifteen from your own I want to know your

thoughts about that. We probably don't have too much time to discuss it, but next week or in a future freestyle, we're gonna get into that and see if on balance that makes sense. And uh, of course though, we will talk a little bit about the crazy news that we all got yesterday afternoon about Kobe Bryant. Um Kobe Bryant perished in the helicopter crash along with his thirteen year old daughter g G along with seven o rs that we're traveling to game. Obviously, we've talked about it on

this network and everywhere. The accolades are there, right obviously, the twenty seasons, the All Star appearances, the m v P, the finals. We know about that fourth all time three somewhat thousand points. What I'm intrigued by, honestly is the kind of mentorship he had to a lot of the guys in the game, the Dwyane Wades of the world, the Dame Dollars of the world, the Kyrie Irvings of the world, and how he was in their ear about life after basketball, about building a brand. You see him

with Academy Awards for his short movie. Right. You see him similar almost in many ways. So like what we're talking about with Derek Jeter, you know, went into the Hall of Fame last week. We were talking about that, right, this idea of the second chapter in your life and how to organize yourself, like jay Z said, not as a businessman, but as a business man. And I think Kobe was a forefront of that starting to touch others

in doing so. And the other thing I'll tell you is about the competitive fire of Kobe Bryant, right, Like he was that dude who you knew was always on his grind, was not you know, I was not taking a day off. It wasn't about the funning games of it all. We saw that when Dwight Howard was there with the Lakers as well as as his fun loving, jovial ways didn't fly. And we see that with Michael Jordan's, we see that with the Spurs, we see that with

the Patriots, we see that with the Mamba personality. And that's what I'll remember about Kobe Bryant, right, that that killer instinct was always there um to the nth degree, and how that really needs to be there um for you to really reach the upper echelons of any industry.

You know, it's a lot of it's a lot of cromudgeny assholes, if you want to know the truth, that make it there because they are convinced that that is how they must do it all the time, right And Kobe was there as well, So obviously the accolades continue to pour in and you can count the spitting statistician among them. But this show is about football. This show is about gambling. This shows about family, fantasy and family, to be quite honest, and that is what we are

going to focus on. Okay, okay, so that's interesting. First of all, we heard yesterday Drew Brees is gonna take some time him right, He's gonna take like a month. And that one is really interesting too,

because here's the thing. Teddy's not on the contract. Taysom's not on the contract, all right, So if you're if you're the Saints, if you if Breeze does come back, you can't keep Teddy anymore because Teddy's gonna get a real starter level offer. You won't be able to pay him all. What do you do with Taysom Hill? I've

said this before. If Taysom Hill is actually your second string quarterback, then you can't be doing all that wide receiver, running back, punt block stuff with him because he's your number two quarterbacks. So it's very interesting for New Orleans. But what you guys are talking about in the chat room is the reports that came out today. It looks like the Chargers are making an official that they are moving on from Philip Rivers right after his what eighteen

years of service, sixteen years of service or whatever. It is the same draft obviously as Big Ben and Eli, and so the question remains, now what goes on here? Now, what I want to tell Strong Style Ben and the others The way you have to look at it is all the names that are out there, everyone from James to Tannehill to car to Present to Brady, Rivers to Mariota, to Dalton to cam f in Newton. What you have to do first is figure out do

you think they are a starter or a backup? And do you think they will stay or go? That is what creates the availability of musical chairs. Then you look at these people and see what the right fit is. We will do an extended segment on this after the Super Bowl. But I gotta tell you something, if Tom Brady does not return to New England, I think this

Charger spot could be a place for him. If you're the Chargers, I know it could be like, oh, Tyrod and a kid, or Mariota fits the same kind of skill set, or we'll just draft to uh they are in the top ten. But what's more important to the Charges franchise. They are moving to l A. They are moving into that stadium. This team has had to go to a damn siling count at home for the last

few years. They need to sell seats. They need buzz, so I think, and if you're Brady, if you're leaving New England, you're going to the coast, you're going back to California and to fill seats. Maybe you got a little one two year thing lined up right there. That makes sense to me. I could see this being a spot for Brady if he moves from New England. Okay. Otherwise, what I think they need to do is they ain't gonna get justin Herbert at seven. I believe they are.

They're gonna need to hop over Miami get into the top five. They need to draft the era parent and let Tarad do his thing. But watch Brady. Okay, that's an interesting one. Then the question of what way does that mean for Philip Rivers? And I told you the way we actually need to do this is figuring out the Merry go Round in the right way. But listen, we're all here, and he's buying a house in uh Florida.

A lot of people are thinking zoning in on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which would then, you know, put Jamis on the Merry go Round. Right, whether that's to a place like Indianapolis, whether that's to a place likes Lots Vegas, which is possible, Jacksonville, which is possible. You never know, right, where Carolina, which is possible, But I digress. Um. I think Rivers to Tampa Bay is interesting. He certainly has the weapons, and Rivers loves to chuck it up right

Mike Evans, God when the tight ends there. But here's my question about that one. The part that doesn't seem right to me about that one is Bruce arians already has a careless quarterback. His name is Jamis Winston. Right, isn't Philip Rivers like the one quarterback in the NFL on this Merry Go Round who's just as careless with the ball as Jamis? Like what, You're just getting a what more veteran version of Jamis? I don't know that that works. All the other dots do seem to connect.

As we were going as I was setting sale on the Bachelor party two weeks ago, when I went down to Miami, Cora, Uh, Danny Lee from the undisclosed location, his daughter, four year old Lovely, was riding the Tennessee Titans. Was one game up on us. Cora picked the Titans and the Niners. As you know, I made my picks two weeks ago. I was on the

Chiefs and the Niners. I went chalky, Danny, you and I gained the game aim we needed to on Cora. So we are now in a flat footed tie. Unfortunately, Cora has been sick lately, okay, so she hasn't been able to make picks. So, Danny, the question is, now we are in a flat footed tie with Cora. No other kids are above us. I can maintain that now for four years straight, no kids have beaten the spitting statistician. The question is, Danny, if Cora can't make a pick,

I wouldn't buy the fault, right. What do you think, Danny or do I have to actually make the pick. That's a good question. I I. We've never come into you have never come into someone. So we're gonna see. I will continue to reach out to this undisclosed location. We'll see how we get the picks out. So if you have rationale, whether you're a child or a or a tout um, sure you know, like a lot of people think that San Francisco is the better team and that Kansas City, though has like the generational talent that is Patrick Mahomes. I think that's very simplistic, to be quite honest. If that's the way you're looking at it, I think you are short shrifting the Kansas City Chiefs defense. I've been telling you about the Spagnolo zone, which has been getting better

and better in the second half of the season. I told you that stretch at the end of the season where they average given up ten points a game or less. I've told you about the importance of the Honey Badger. I've told you about the importance of Chris Jones stopping the run. There. All of those things came to fruition. So I'm holding already the Chiefs at like nine or ten to one, so I got to back that up.

I also told you about the way that I tried to hedge it, because remember two weeks ago, I also told you I was holding Green Bay to win the NFC, and so I hedged it because San Francisco was my wammy, right, No Emmy, no Emmy, no wammy and stop. So what I did was I picked a couple of forty Niners to win the Super Bowl m v P two weeks ago, and I got these guys at fifty to one. Deebo, Samuel Kevin Coleman and Raw him most most starts now eight to one, Debo now to one. So that's the

way I'm looking at it. I got the future to ticket. But the weird way to look at it if you don't have already a dog in the fight is this. And you know the way I've been talking about games all season. The question is will Cansas d be able to slow the run game? Okay, we know that this committee, Mostert Coleman, even Brita. You check Deebo Samuel, the schemes,

the shifts, the motions. The question is will it ever be forced onto the arm of Jimmy Garoppolo, either by Kansas City shutting down the run or by Kansas City getting out to elite. I do not believe that the Niners are ready to trust Jimmy Gi. We've seen it. Jimmy G's had the four touchdown game, He's had the four hundred and thirty some odd yard game against Arizona. But do the Niners trusted? I say all the time, can you adjust the left hand in the right hand

right when you're forced into it? I've talked or are you a volume thrower? And it's no good. We've talked about it. Where Kirk Cousins, Matt Ryan, Philip Rivers, Jameis Winston, Carson Wentz and others. The Niners have hardly ever had to be in that situation because of the strength of their run game. They won the NFC Championship with Jimmy G going like six for eight. But I'm gonna remind you of the game before that against Minnesota when Jimmy G threw a pick late second quarter and that game

was still tight. In the entire second half, Garoppolo attempted six passes. The question is, will San Fran ever be forced into a place where they have to rely on Jimmy G spot, not his porno career, not his good looks, but on his damn right arm down the field. Will they ever be forced into a situation where the defense knows they gotta throw, the stadium knows they gotta throw. That is one of the keys to me. I don't know that San Fran trust Jimmy G to have it

on his arm. Now, the run game is great, the run game of Tennessee was great all Soul Derrick Henry. But at a certain point, if Casey gets the working margin, can San Francisco battleback? Are they equipped to do that? And on the other side, I'm also very intrigued listen we know Kansas City can put up points. My question is will San Francisco get pressure with just their front four on Patrick Mahomes. Here's why. Okay, listen, I extol

the virtues of Patty Mahomes for the last two years. Okay. Now, the issue though, is will San Francisco get pressure with four thus being able to cover seven? Could they spy them sit back in coverage. Patrick Mahomes has seventeen interceptions so far in his career. Sixteen of them have been against a four man rush when seven are back in coverage. San Francisco, that is the way they are built. They invested,

you know, with Lynch and Shanahan. They invested first round picks on Boza on you know, Armstead, on Solomon Thomas. When they got now dfour, they have invested on this D line to be able to get pressure with four. Remember the Giants when they got you know, the undefeated Patriots, it was the NASCAR defense, right, they had four linemen that could rush. That's what San fran wants to do. So they can have seven back in coverage, maybe even someone with an eye on Patty. Right, The question is

and Mahomes without these throwing lanes. That's when he's susceptible to throw the picks to turn the ball over. Will they be able to get pressure on Patrick Mahomes. I think they will. But for me, and this is one of my prop bets, I am on Patrick Mahomes rushing yards over. I got it at twenty seven and a half. It's all the way up now at thirty one two. I believe because listen, Mahomes has been rushing more against Houston against Tennessee at over fifty yards. And I think

this is a function of when the pressure comes. And if san Fran brings four and gets pressure, he's not gonna throw it into these tight throwing lanes. He's gonna duck it and run Dave. That's what they've shown in the playoffs. Now his rushing total is at you know, high twenties, low thirties. I like over Patrick mahomes rushing total. I got it early at twenty seven and a half. It's now it's at two. All right, That's the way

I like it. Um. I think will san Fran get pressure and will it ever be up to Jimmy g I think san Fran will get pressure, but Mahomes will be able to run, thus the rushing yards prop, and I don't think it's on the arm on the arm of j D is a good thing for San Francisco. I think they will get forced into that, and I don't think it will go well. And that's where I think Kansas City Chiefs will be holding the been the Vince Lombardi Trophy. But enough of that, we'll see if

Cora thinks the same thing. Hey, Danny, let's get into these props. Okay, Danny, let me let me see if you like some of these. We'll talk about about the game first. Okay, some of these are cool, but definitely about football and the game, and then we'll have some fun at the end about some of these celebrity props and some of these gatorade props and national anthem stuff like that. Okay, Danny, are you with me? Sounds good? All right? So, Danny, do you think there will be

a two point conversion attempt in the game? These days in football games, Danny, they're going less and less extra points. They're trying for the two point conversions. These two teams, Kansas City and San Francisco. You know, Andy Reid's got some tricks up his sleeves. So does Shanahan. I don't know, Danny, what do you think? What's your gut tell you whether it be a two point attempt in this game, just an attempt. It doesn't even have to be successful, just

an attempt. Yeah, So Danny, that's plus money. Danny, and listen with some of these prop bets. That's what I'm looking for, things that are feasible that I can get at plus money. I told you I also like I like the Mahomes rushing. I also like over two players to have a pass attempt. I think Tyree killed Deebo Samuels something like that. I talked about it last week or two weeks ago on freestyle or last time I

had a show. And that one has gone from plus two thirty all the way down to plus one seventy five, down to plus one thirty and back a little to plus one sixties. So it's going to my direction. But Danny, you can get plus one forty that there will be a two point conversion attempt, just an attempt. It doesn't have to be successful. What do you think I like that one plus one forty write it down, Danny, plus one forty, Yes to a two point conversion attempt. It

doesn't even have to be successful. Remember what I just told you, Danny about Patrick Mahomes and how sixteen of his seventeen career interceptions is against the four man rush with seven what San Francisco does. So, Danny, will Patrick Mahomes throw an interception? What do you say, dude? I mean history would say yes. Yes is a plus number, Danny. Yes is plus one ten. No is minus one thirty. So Danny, you like the two point conversion, it's plus money.

You like the Mahomes Yes interception plus money? Can I interest you, Danny? And other things like a safety or overtime? Do you think there'll be a safety in the game? Do you think they'll be overtime? Danny? I don't know about overtime, well, over time. If you do think overtime, it's eight to one, Danny, And I know you like those bombs. Safety, Yes, would be six to one, Danny. I don't think these things are gonna happen, Danny, all right, I don't think he goes overtime. I don't think there's

like it or not, it's not the question. The question is will it air? And I say yes. So if you want to go the commercial game, you can. If you want to go the fan running onto a field, a player getting carted off the field, and then of course to try it and true one, Danny, what is the color gatorade dupped on what I believe will be Andy Reid at the end of the day. What is the color gatorade do you think will be dumped on the winning coach? I mean, maybe they go red because

it's Kansas City. That's an interesting idea. Maybe they go red for Kansas City that is the third choice, Danny, Lemon, lime is the favorite. these other boats. Danny, the US Coastguard was also in the area. Danny, they were getting on boats. They boarded a boat, would do a little check for like five minutes, and then bounce. Danny. They were on our boat for an hour. Yeah. Well, you know, I got my friend, we call him Swathy, uh he um. When he saw the US Coastguard coming. Let's just say he needed to uh use the toilet and flush okay, But then the US Coastguard boards our boat and Danny, I'm over here

all party and party and partying. I thought they were joking with me, My boy is. I thought they were joking with me. And this was like the surprise stripper. Okay, and I'm gonna put up a picture and you're gonna see a picture of me and this amazing female US Coastguard agent. But I may have for the first couple of minutes treated her like I thought she was going to, uh start dancing, Danny. It didn't. It wasn't good because she had handcuffs and a gun. Yep, there you go.

Put her up there it is. It's my man Brady on the other side. You can see me with the I need help floatation device. I thought homegirl. We later found out her name was Meg. I thought she was part of the show, Danny. If you notice, you also see the real US Coastguard boat in the background, and that's when we realized nope. And then when I saw her gun and her baton, I was like, oh, this is real. And so Danny, we got boarded and uh, we had to do some things. Overall, it was okay,

you can take that off. But that was me. I certainly needed help all weekend. There are other stories to tell, but not on TV, shall we say? Um So that's that. But it was a good time had by all. Danny. That's awesome. Yeah, yeah, good time except for the you know, the first ten minutes when we really thought that it was problematic. That yeah, yeah, I told you brou it was. There were things that had to go overboard, there were things, there were things that had to get flushed down the toilet.

Bro But I digress. In any event, here's what I want to say again. Thanks to the Cipher, we are nominated as the best radio show in the industry. This is something of a season finale right with the super Bowl. It is the end of football season. I am moving, just like last year in the offseason, back to only once a week guys. Also in the Pro Bowl yesterday we saw something that I think went under the radar because obviously everybody is mourning the loss of Kobe Bean bryant Um. know your thoughts about that. We probably don't have too much time to discuss it, but next week or in a future freestyle, we're gonna get into that and see if on balance that makes sense. And uh, of course though, we will talk a little bit about the crazy news that we all got yesterday afternoon about Kobe bryant Um. Kobe Bryant perished in the helicopter crash along with his thirteen year old daughter g G along with seven others that we're traveling to game. Obviously, we've talked about it

on this network and everywhere. The acolades are there, right obviously, the twenty seasons, the All Star appearances, the m v P, the finals. We know about that fourth all time thirty three somewhat thousand points. What I'm intrigued by, honestly, is the kind of mentorship he had to a lot of the guys in the game, the Dwyane Wades of the world, the Dame Dollars of the world, the Kyrie Irvings of the world, and how he was in their ear about

life after basketball, about building a brand. You see him with Academy Awards for his short movie, right, You see him somewhere almost in many ways to like what we're talking about with Derek Jeter, you know, went into the Hall of Fame last week. We were talking about that, right, this idea of the second chapter in your life and how to organize yourself, like jay Z said, not as a businessman, but as a business man, and I think Kobe was a forefront of that, starting to touch others

in doing so. And the other thing I'll tell you was about the competitive fire of Kobe Bryant, right, like he was that dude who you knew was always on his grind was not you know, I was not taking a day off. It was in about the funning games of it all. We saw that when Dwight Howard was there with the Lakers as well as Hiss, his fun loving,

jovial ways didn't fly. And we see that with Michael Jordan's we see that with the Spurs, we see that with the Patriots, we see that with the Mamba personality. And that's what I'll remember about Kobe Bryant, right, that that killer instinct was always there um to the nth degree, and how that really needs to be there um for you to really reach the upper echelons of any industry.

You know, it's a lot of it's a lot of cromudgeney assholes, if you want to know the truth, that make it there because they are convinced that that is how they must do it all the time, right, And Kobe was there as well.
