So I like it better than the super Bowl because

the super Bowl is really like an event. The pageantry, the commercials, the halftime show, what color gatorade will be dropped on the coach f C n NFC Championship game is great, but that weekend you only have games on Sunday. You only have two games. This weekend, you have four games to get into and you got the one in two seeds in action. Which is why I like it better than Wildcard weekend because you know, the Pats and

the Steelers and the Vikings were on the sidelines. This you see the best teams in football getting after all weekend long. So I gotta give you some news and notes from around the league. Not much about the teams that are playing this weekend. IM a lot about coaching news and some of the player movement that we might expect in the offseason. Check this out. The NFL is looking into the Oakland Raiders higher of John Gruden, to

see if they fulfilled the Rouoney rule. Now, if you don't know, the Rooney rule is that teams may must interview at least one minority candidate. And if you look at this the way it seemed, it seemed like John Gruden to the Raiders was just like a boom fit that happened. And the question is did they actually go through the motions or actually interview any African American candidates.

They say that they interviewed t Martin, who's the offensive coordinator from nearby USC, and they also interviewed their own internal tight end coach, Bobby Johnson. Seems like they did a little retroactively. But I'm not that mad at it, to be honest. I just think these things should not become a trend. It seems like the Browns have big time interest in Alex Smith in free agency. I think this could be an interesting fit. You know, Alex Smith

does not turn the ball over. Also, the Browns GM uh Dorsey was the GM in Canto City when they got Alex Smith, so they're familiar with Alex Smith's work and listen, to be honest, Alex Smith in a career year, he is going to have options. It looks like the Chiefs are moving on from Alex Smith, but really, you know, isn't Alex Smith pretty much the most desired quarterback outside of maybe Kirk Cousins in this free agency period. You're gonna have Kirk Cousins, You're gonna have Alex Smith. You're

probably gonna have Tyrod Taylor. People think you might have Jimmy Garoppolo, although I don't think he's moving anywhere. I don't think Drew Brees is gonna hit the market. So Alex Smith could be a very coveted UH signal caller in the off season. And if he's coveted, he ain't

gonna wind up in Cleveland, all right. They're also saying that New England Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia is now the favorite and for not only the Detroit Lions job that we talked about before, but also the New York Giants job. I think that could be interesting, especially if it sounds like Smagnola has fallen out of great and he is no longer a candidate there. It looks like

the Cardinals are zoning in on Pat Schermer. Remember, if Shermer goes, it looks like he might take Kate's Keenom with him, and that could be a natural fit. Because Carson and Palmer has moved on and retired from the Arizona Cardinals, the Carolina Panthers have hired offensive coordinator Norv Turner.

I think this is an interesting fit. I don't know that I'm behind it, and the reason is because North Turner is a kind of with his quarterback, drops back, stand and delivers the ball with accuracy and something like a West Coast system. That's what he did with Sam Bradford in years past and why he had like sevent completion rate last year. I don't know that Cam Newton fits that skill set. You want Cam Newton to be able to make plays. Accuracy has not always been his thing,

So keep an eye out on that. In Buffalo, the Bills mafia is rejoicing because the Bills have fired their offensive coordinator Rick Dennison after only one year. This is now gonna be like the fourth scheme in four years for the Buffalo Bills. We got my guy, the fantasy best friend forever, Mike Florio in the Fantasy of Mystery. Later on, when we're talking DFS lineups, I gotta ask him how he feels about Rick Dennison getting canned by

the Bills as well. Listen, they're gonna probably have a new quarterback now, They're gonna have a new scheme, so a lot of things up in the air for McDermott up there in Buffalo. Also check this out. I think this is interesting. The Denver Broncos, their coaching staff, is coaching the Senior Bowl. The Houston Texans are the other

coaching staff coaching the Senior Bowl. The Broncos have asked specifically for Baker Mayfield to be on their team so that they can see him in practice, so they can see him in meeting rooms, so they can get the real deal scouting on the Baker Mayfield to decide if they maybe want him to be the next quarterback for the Denver Broncos. To be quite honest, I actually think they should look to the team I was talking about just now, Buffalo. I think Tyrod Taylor would be a

great fit in Denver. Remember, Tyrod Taylor is a guy who has the lowest interception rate of all time in the NFL. And if you give that defense a quarterback that has some rushing ability and doesn't turn the ball over, I think Denver can get right back into contention. The last note that I'll say here is that Larry Fitzgerald has come out and said he is still noncommittal on his future. Remember Bruce arians walked away, Carson Palmer walked away. I think that fitz he is not gonna want to

deal with a new quarterback, a new coach. I think he may not retire, but I don't think he'll be with the Arizona Cardinals come two thousand and eighteen. Okay, we got a lot to discuss, and we're gonna start doing speeds versus the kids in a little bit. But what I wanna do is I want to bring on my home girl, Ashley a Brea. You Ashley needs answers. You see her sometimes with us on Lineup Block Live on Sunday. She's always representing the fantasy pit of misery

down there on the fourth floor. Ashley. Here's the thing. Ventro was supposed to be back, and I wanted to get at him about some of the verses that he did on my show, The Fantasy Freestyle with the stats over beat Cipher. I understand that you were producing when I was gone in Asia, when Venture was up here doing the show. I understand you heard some of the lyricism of the analyst Chris Venture. Is that correct, Ashley? Yeah,

it's definitely it's possible. It's definitely possible he redeemed himself the second time around. So tell me about this, because I still have yet I heard. I've heard the one that everyone says he redeemed himself the second time around, and to be quite honest, that was like you know what I'm saying, So like, what was this first one? I still have not heard this first attempt that people are apparently saying it's very bad. I don't want to hear it because I don't want to hear it until

he's here alive to be able to defend himself. But but give me a little thumbnail sketch. What was so bad about his first square into uh, you know some bars on the Fantasy Freestyle. Well, I mean he got into it and all that came out of his mouth was dilly dilly, and that's it. And that's it. Yeah, so he did not finish his verse, not at not at all. I mean, in his defense, he did get distracted by Corey of him that what Corey do? What

Corey do to distract him? Like, okay, alright, fair enough, So do I I need to hear this, I guess at some point, but we should not play it now. I don't want to hear it. No, I don't want to hear it until Chris Venture is back here to be able to defend himself. I don't want to talk about people who are not here. I texted him and I told him I'm not going to re hear this or react to it until he is here to defend himself. I only think that would be right, because you know,

that's what stable geniuses do. Oh my goodness, Hey, I respect it. Okay, all right, but you but but it was not his first one was not that good. Huh. It was awful. Okay, alright, it makes me, it makes me want to hear it even more. But I'm not going to the other thing. I wanted to ask you about Ashley because, as you know, UM, when I was in Asia, UM, the Fantasy Sports network had a tragic loss. Um we we lost our mascot, Ted Finn Jr. I don't think I can talk about this. Yes, this is hard.

I know it was. It was definitely hard to imagine me. I'm serious. Ash. I was in Thailand. I was literally half a world away, twelve hour time different, which literally halfway around the world. And I saw it on my own Twitter feed, and you know, I got. I felt some kind of way about it. I felt some kind of way about it, absolutely, I did. I poured a little bit out for Ted Finn Jr. Okay, I did. It was the brand that they have. The brand of beer out there is Tiger Beer, and they have Chang Beer,

and you also have Singha Beer. I'm serious. I I had all three of these in might travels. I like the Tiger I like the Tiger Beer. I was into the Tiger Beer. Um. The Singha Beer was alright. The Chang Beer I had on an airplane, so I feel like that might have been like the knockoff stuff, the low the low level stuff. But it was all good. It was good, you know. I also had my fair share of tequilia. I also had my fair share of whiskey as well, you know, those big things over there.

But when I was over there, I found out that Ted Gin you know, left us, and so what we did hear ashes. We put a pole question up and we said, how should we replace Ted finn Jr. One of the options was to get another fish. Another option was to get another um animal that was not a fish. One option was to do nothing and never replaced Ted, to honor him and honor him in a different way. And then there was like you know, other and people

were people were suggesting all sorts of stuff. I had one person big shout out to Jilly Dilley from the stats over beat Cipher said that we should get a turtle and maybe name him levy on Shell instead of Levyan Bell, which I liked. Um Bovona was real big on getting a venus fly trap. What do you think we should do to move on from Ted Finn Jr. I can't do the hair. I can't do the hair. I'm allergic to the hair. I thought it was a human hair. No, no, I'm allergic to dogs and cats

and all sorts of hair. I can't have it. Well, someone did say we should just get an honorary plaque and like put the plaque up in somewhere here, you know, in studio, in Studio thirty four and maybe not get another mascot, but just honor almost like a tombstone for Ted Finn. What do you think I mean? We could, but at the same time, you know we have to replace the dead fish we do, so you do think we need another mascot at some point? Yeah, it's whatever

He had the Chief which which was incorrect. So Ventra went too and too. This week, Chris vent Uh has the Falcons, the Pats, the Jacksonville Jaguars,

and the Minnesota Vikings. Those adventurous picks straight up. So I'm gonna give you my picks in a hot second. But first we got to hear from the kids. Okay, because as you know if you listen to Fantasy Freestyle, we did this last year Speeds versus the kids. None of the kids were able to beat me, although there were some that came close. But this year, I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna crush these kids. Okay, we already

heard from Zoe, uh take the points Garlic yesterday. What I wanna do now is I want to first, we are going to hear from Audrey, and that is Goose the Goose. There, We're gonna hear from Audrey and her picks. I think she has some very interesting rationale and when she's making her picks here, I want you to think, does she really care about America or not? I strenk that the Eagle is gonna win because of course Eagles, American eagle is the American symbol, so of course the Eagles are win. So of course she's riding with America. Audrey is riding with America. So far, let's see what happens New England's Patriots versus the Tennessee. So she's got

to take the pats right. Well, I'm gonna say the Tennessee Titans because I really liked um Greek mythology and I really like I don't really like them, but the Titans are interesting. Okay, Greek mythology, I take it. Although I thought she was riding with the USA, and wouldn't you get behind the Patriots if that was the case. But so far, Audrey's got the Eagles and the Titans. Let's keep it rolling. And you think somehow they'll anal some of that ancient Greek yes God power on game day? Okay?

I like about your earlier logic went out the window the Patriots. What about the American pride? There? No I done? Okay. Pittsburgh Steelers versus Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacksonville Jaguars. Decided about the Jaguars. No, keep going, Flora, let it play, baby, Okay, got to have that. Minnesota like that versus the New Orleans Saints. And this one I'm upset about. I don't really believe in it. Um. I like my Kings though they're interesting, are like their pointy hats? What do you mean you

don't believe in that? This is what I want to know, what kind of thing? See? I don't believe this is my girl Audrey. I gotta tell you something. This is my god daughter, okay, and she is out there now saying that she does not believe insane and it's picking against New Orleans. I have some extra worker to do as a godfather. She's riding with the Greek mythology of the Titans, but won't get down with the Saints. We'll see what happens at Easter goose. That's all I gotta

say about that. Okay. So to recap, Audrey is on the Eagles, the Titans, the Jags, and the Vikings. All right, let's now go to another I believe a eight year old, seven year old. This is Michaela. She represents the West Coast all the way out there in California, and she's got picks as well. Can we hear Florio? Who does Michaela like in the Falcons Eagles game? Hiday I wanted to make let's make some picks, then, Michaela. First matchup

coming from MICHAELA Connors. It's Falcons versus Eat. That's irrationality because they're the bird of America. So here's the thing. A lot of people are going with this bald eagle idea. This is the bald, you know, the the Eagles of of America. Let's see who. Let's see let's see who MICHAELA likes in the Titans Patriots game though, because she's with Audrey so far. Okay, for the next game, we have the Tennessee Titans at versus the New England Patriot.

Who you got, Michaela? Because I think to bear the color of our flag. Gotta like that, Gotta like that she's going with colors. She is repping America hard with the bald Eagles and with the red, white and blue of the Patriots on. Michaela is on Eagles and Pats. This next game is the Steelers and the Jaguars. And I gotta tell you something. If you know Michaela like I do, you know who she's riding with. It's the cat scratch fever. Let's see who she's got your Steelers

and Jaguars. Third matchup first Sunday is the Jaguars versus the Steelers. I think the dad they're going to win. Good. My favorite time of the animal, the cat. Absolutely. I could have told you that if there is any cat in play against anybody else, Michaela is riding with the cat. Whether that be the Panthers or in this case, the Jaguars. So Michaela so far has the Eagles, the Pats, and the Jaguars. Let's see who she has in my game

of the week Vikings versus Saints High Games. And for the final matchup, we have a New Orleans Saints as the Minnesota Vikings. I think more are going to win cause they have gold and black, Golden black. You know, I was way for some of these kids to get into the color scheme, right, Golden black is as good as anything to me. So to recap what MICHAELA has his Eagles, Pats, Jaguars, and Saints. We got one more kid picker and it's my man, Tito. Tito is about

to make his picks. Let's see who Tito likes for divisional weekend. I gotta tell you he went away from some of the picks of his sister, who we've already heard. Let's see who Tito has and he's got some great analysis. Let's play that. Okay, this is for Uncle Dane's radio show. Tell me who you think will win and why Atlanta Falcons versus the Philadelphia Eagles. I think yeah, and the skin because because that because I think they're just stronger.

He's going with the Heriots versus the Tennessee Titans. You because I think their name is cooler. It's just a cooler name. It's just a cooler name when it comes down to its versus Jacksonville Jaguar. That Jacksonville Jaguars because it has a jaguar? Did jaguars have a jaguar? So let's go strong and stack and sneak. What about the

Minnesota Vikings versus the New Orleans Saints. Minnesota Vikings versus the New Orleans Saints Minnesota because um, I think that, um that they just have a better chance, because m hmm, I think they have any. Listen, sometimes you gotta go with your gut, and Tito is going with his gut, and that is the Minnesota Vikings, the New England Patriots, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Can you tell

how every single kid has picked the Jacksonville Jaguars. There's something about these cats, these kids, Like, I gotta tell you something now, it is speeds versus the kids, So I gotta give you my picks. Let's start right away in that Steelers Jaguars game. I am going against the kids. This is where I make it ahead of the kids. I'm going with the Pittsburgh Steelers. I think Antonio Brown would be just fine with his calf. I think there's

no way Big Bent throws five interceptions. I think they try to focus as a defense on Leonard four Nette. I think they do that and try to force Blake Bortles to win the game, and I don't think that will happen. I think Pittsburgh at home, they are rolling. I think they continue to roll. I like the Pittsburgh Steelers. I like them to cover the seven points spread. Give me the Steelers in a twenty to ten win on Sunday.

All right, the other game, New England and Tennessee. I give props to Zoe who went with the Titans, to my girl Goose Audrey who went with the Titans. But they don't know what they're talking about. The New England Patriots are gonna wipe the floor with the Tennessee Titans. I think this is a bad matchup for them. I think the Patriots are in fu mode. I think that

that Tennessee secondary can be had. What they what the Titans need to do is with exatic smash Mouth, try to stay in the game, shorten the game time of possession. I think it gets away from them, and I think it gets away from Marcus Mariota. Give me the New England Patriots. I will even lay the thirteen and a half points in this one. I like New England. Call it thirty four seventeen. I like the Patriots, and I like them to cover the spread in another game. Though.

Here's where I go a little bit different than the conventional wisdom. I'm taking to New Orleans Saints in Minnesota. Okay, in Week one, the Vikings winen that was before Marshawn Lattimore was a thing, that was before Alvin Kamara is a thing. I think the Saint's offense is the most complete offense in the NFL. I think they are going to create a little bit of problem for the Minnesota

Vikings defense because they can do so many things. And I also think, similar to what we saw with the Rams last week, young quarterback you know at home, I think this is not a home field advantage. I think this is home field pressure. The Vikings have heard all season long that they can host the Super Bowl, that they can host the Super Bowl. I think they're getting

a little ahead of themselves. I like the New Orleans Saints to pull an upset and what I believe will be the closest game of the weekend, give me the New Orleans Saints to twenty one. I think when the chips are down, I'll take Drew Brees over Case Keenum. for the divisional round. I'm giving you mine as well. We're gonna keep track of our records. Last year, none of the kids could pick the games ahead of me. You know, we're building credibility for our expertise here. I am a stable genius after all. I want to give you my last pick. The last game is the Eagles and the Falcons. I gotta tell you something. I gotta stick with my people. If you listen to the Fantasy Freestyle, you know I was high on the Eagles all season long.

At the beginning of the season, before anybody else was on them. I said the Eagles would win the NFC East. I said they would get to the NFC Championship Game. Now, I understand that when Nick Foles it's completely different. But the other thing if you listen to the fantasy freestyle, you know is that I have to pick the home dogs. The home dogs has been a trend that I have gone with all season long and has advised my clients

to go with as well. And we have a situation where we have a home dog here, so I'm gonna go with the Philadelphia Eagles. I believe that this defense can do regardless of Carson Wentz. I believe that Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense on the road grass At still not gotten it fully together. I like the home doll. Give me the Philadelphia Eagles. That crowd will be ravenous as well, and it's gonna be something like forty degrees thirty five degrees, So you take that Southern Dome team. I think they may have some issues. Give

Yeah, absolutely, we were talking about that. I'm gonna do some of that again next week. But listen, Carlos Hide as a free agent. I think that where

he moves is very interesting. There's some wide receivers as well. Keep an eye on Josh Gordon, keep an eye on a R fifteen and Allen Robinson. I think those guys can move both move to interesting scenarios that will help them out. I also think that some possession receivers might find their way to New England. As a Patriots fan, I would keep my eye on two guys that I

think could be there. One is Jarvis Landry from Miami, a great possession receiver to tie to take that Edelman amandle Roll And the other can you imagine if Larry Fitzgerald wants to end his care year by trying to get a ring. I think that could be possible that Larry Fitzgerald moves away from Arizona to try and get a ring in a one year scenario, and I think New England would be a great landing place for that.

When we get a little bit closer in free agency hits, i'll tell you about the moves and implications there for your fantasy two thousand A team team. But it was great talking to you, Steve. I think you gotta have Tom Brady as your DFS quarterback. Okay, I think it's a eight match up against the Tennessee Titans. The Tennessee Titans are twenty five in the league against the past, fourth against the run. The way to beat them is via the past. I think Tom Brady has to be the chalk. But here's the thing. Sometimes you gotta go with the chalk because you can't have Tom Brady throw for three touchdowns and you not have him

on your lineup. So I got Tom Brady. I'm stacking him though, However, with the tight end Rob Gronkowski I think Gronk and Brady is going to be the answer. I think Gronk will have a field day across the middle of the field. I will say this, I believe you can go with zach Ertz as well. I think zach Ertz is going to get a dozen or more targets in their game against the Atlanta Falcons. Remember, I'm

picking the Eagles to win this game outright. The Eagles have been home dogs in the playoffs three times in their history. All three times they won the game outright. I think zach Ertz is a viable tight end, but I'm stacking Tom Brady with Rob gron Calky. On fan Duel, my running backs are Davonte Freeman and Derrick Henry. Derrick Henry is way to cheap on FanDuel. At only sixties seven hundred. He is the ninth most expensive running back

on fan Duel. I think he creates value. You can get Henry for a lower price than J. G. I E Or Dion Lewis or Latavius Murray. I think Henry will be the way that the Ttency Titans try to shorten the game and stay in the game against New England on Saturday. Then at wide out. I'm going away from some of the heavy studs, the number one white outs. I think this is going to be a week where the number two wide receivers eat and produce for you.

So that means I'm going Stefon digs at seventy three hundred because I think Marshawn Lattimore will be on Adam Feeling, so I like, Stephen, can you digs it? I'm going with Nelson a galore in Philly. I think he's got the slot on lock. I think he has the big play potential, and I think Philly will need that. True. Font has also been impressive lately as the quarterback from Atlanta. I think he'll be on al Shan Jeffries will give me Nelson are at four hundred and then give me

Mohammed It's a new day at fifty eight hundred. I think Julio will be the focus of the Philadelphia pass defense, and Julio has been a little gimpy and at times he's out there as a decoy. I just didn't have enough money. Give me Mohammed Sanu. He's a reliable target and in the red zone, Mattie Ice looks his way already told you Rob Gronkowski a tight end, and I'm going with a home defense. I think Philadelphia is gonna

win the game. And I think that because they win the game, I think it's gonna be a lower scoring game. I also think there could be some weather tomorrow in the Philadelphia area. Give me the defensive line on Philadelphia for only forty six hundred. Hey, Florio, am I crazy with my lineup? Are there any specific guys that you want to tout that I don't have in my lineup? Do you think my lineup is piss poor, blunt, guts trash, defecating the mattress or do you think I know what

I'm doing to win a little bit of cash? I mean, you went through the line up and there's a couple of guys I have different, but for the most part, all the nuts and bolts are the same. Like I have Brady, I have grown Hogan. I think you gotta star with Brady and Gronk right in a cash game. I think so too. But you like Hogan as your wide receiver of choice. Why do you trust him coming back from the shoulder injury right away? I have him because he's a little bit cheaper, so I paired him

with Adam Dealing as well. Adam DeLand is the one I paid up for over Brandon Clicks. Are you um? I went Diggs because I'm concerned about Marshawn Lattimore. Um, Me and Tony have been talking all week though about Lattimore and we don't know who he's gonna cover. We think Feeling can go in the slot. We think Diggs can go in the slot as well. Are you afraid at all? Not afraid? But does Marshawn Lattimore give you

any cause for pause? The reason I went Dealing was actually because I think Lattimore is going to be on Diggs. We really we know that Dealing plays the slot a lot and Marshall on Lattimore is really an outside corner. So I could see Lattimore on Diggs and Feeling being the one that feasts in the slot. That could be interesting.

That will be the matchup. When you're watching that game at four forty on Sunday Eastern time, you're gonna be able to see right away which wide receivers the Minnesota Vikings put in the slot because they are trying to get that match up away from Marshawn Lattimore. Let me ask you this real quick, Florial, what defenses do you like? Because you know, you got a great defense in Minnesota,

but they're facing a Hall of Fame quarterback. You've got a great defense in Jacksonville, but they're facing a Hall of Fame quarterback. Right, So where are you going defensively this week? I wouldn't with the opposite of you. I went with the Atlanta Pumpkins because they they've been in the top ten for lowest yards allowed this season, both passing and rushing. So can you're fading Nicky Foles? Yeah?

I think Nick. If there's any quarterback this week that I feel confident could turn the ball over a couple of times, I think it's Nick Foles. Wait, do you think Nick Foles is going to turn the ball over more times than Blake Bortle? Service, It's it's possible. Those are the two guys I think that you want to pick on it for a defensive purpose. Al Right, fair enough, we shall see do me a favorite here, Florio. When we come back. check in on the poll. Okay, I was asking people which favorite do you like to cover the spread. Now the Patriots have the biggest spread. You were not you were not moved by the analysis of Goose and MICHAELA and Tito, who all thought that the Jaguars were cats that were powerful. No, no, unfortunately for the kids. with that news, you know what I would do. I would actually run and insert Antonio Brown in my DFS lineup because I think that means he is gonna be lower owned. I think when all is said and done, a B will be out on the field and business will be booming for him. I actually think that helps his um DFS outlook because I think he's gonna be lower owned. You actually think Antonio Brown is gonna sit this game out, no way, And I agree with you,

especially if you're in a tournament, right, Yeah, absolutely. Maybe that's not a cash game move. Okay, in the cash game move, maybe that means you like a little bit more ju Ju Smith Schuster or something like that. But I think that if you want to, you know, have a lot of lineups, multi entry kind of stuff like that, you need some shares of Antonio Brown. This game time

decision talk is fo gay zy. In my opinion, Antonio Brown will play and if he is, if his ownership sentage is depressed, then you need to get some shares of Antonio Brown.
