Can you imagine if you were riding

Todd Gurley to your championship? And now we know that the Rams are gonna arrest a lot of their starters, so that's gonna be interesting. We'll talk a little bit about that, and we have a poll question up about it. What do you do in week seventeen? of reasons. One, this is gonna be my last Fantasy Freestyle of two thousand and eighteen. I'm heading off on vacation after this. We're gonna have my guys, the Fantasy executive Corey Parson and the analyst Chris Venture in for me over the next week week and a half. So I'm gonna give you my insight for Week seventeen a couple of days early. That's a DFS lineup. Will also talk about some of the home dogs. There are some very interesting home dogs in Week seventeen that will get

at as well. And then also we are going to be joined the little bit later on in this show by Miguel in Guenos So. He won the d k M s uh DFS contest in week one, all the way back in week one of the season. Remember we were doing that contest the free roll from weeks one through sixteen. This week is the final, is the championship, and Miguel is a part of it. We're gonna be

happy to have him on this show as well. You know, it takes two men to do the job of Speeds the spitting statustician, but we get it going here with the last time in two thousand seventeen, I want to give you some news and notes from around the league and then also give you some early thought for DFS

purposes here in week seventeen. First of all, I don't know if you're seeing this but it is unraveling in New York and they're pegging Eli Apple as the quote unquote cancer Langdon Collins says, listen, he doesn't think they need to do much. They just need to switch out

one player, and that player is Eli Apple. Says that he loves playing with d r C, that he loves Jack Rabbit, Nora's Jenkins, and then Eli Apple though he's been such a mal content you know not and I guess today he also refused to be on the scout team in practice, walked out and so they suspended him for the last game of the season. It looks like it's going down with no supervision there in New York. They gotta get a GM, they gotta get a coach in there, and looks like they need a new culture

for the New York Football Giants. Also, we're here in the Kansas City Chiefs. Check this out. They are locked in. It looks like to the four seed, right, So what better chance in week seventeen than to see what their rookie quarterback has. Patrick Mahomes is going to start for the Kansas City Chiefs here in Week seventeen against the Broncos. The Chiefs are locked into the four seed, but they're trying to see a little bit of the future. Remember, Alex Smith is a free agent in the off season.

The Arizona Cardinals have the reports saying that they might want to try and get Todd Bowles back if Bruce arians does in fact retire or leave or part ways from the Arizona Cardinals. Remember, Todd Bowles was a defensive coach there in Arizona, was apparently very close with the Bidwell family that but Bowls did a pretty good job this year. It looks like his job is safe with the New York Jets, so this probably is just a pipe dream. Talked about how Patty Mahomes is starting for

the Chiefs in Week seventeen. Different teams are playing this different ways. First off, the Los Angeles Rams have come out and said, yes they are in fact resting Jared Goff this week. Yes they are in fact resting Todd Gurley this week. Okay, they're saying their left tackle Wentworth probably won't go. Imagine if you had Gurley as your stud running back and now you're in your Like championship in Week seventeen and you lose girly because of rest

for the playoffs. That's why you need to play your championship in week sixteen, and that's why I got that pole question up about how your commissioners should handle Week seventeen. Will check in on that a little bit later on, but check this out. So the Rams are not gonna play, however, Doug Moron and the Jacksonville Jaguars, they're saying they are in fact going to play all their starters despite them being locked in to the three seed. Listen, they just

lost in San Francisco. Coming off that loss, they need to get kind of momentum going back. This is not a team that can kind of like flip the switch like they're the San Antonio Spurs or something like that, so they're gonna be going for it. I think, um, we're talking about my DFS lineup. That's an important thing to consider. Evan Ingram, this is Wednesday, you know, so you start to get some practice reports. Here are some people that are not practicing. Evan Ingram, but they say

it's now bruised ribs, not broken, so he's questionable. He may be able to get back out there later on in the week. Melvin Gordon did not practice, but they're saying quote unquote, he is optimistic he will play against Oakland that despite being in a walking boot. After the game last week against the j E t S J Jets Jets, DeMarco Murray reportedly tore his mc l okay. I don't know if he's gonna go. They say he might try to tough it out. I don't think it's

gonna happen. I think you need to fire up Derrick Henry as a potential RB one this week for the Tennessee Titans. Jeremy Macklin did not practice with a need. That's good for Mike Wallace owners. Manny Sanders did not practice with an ankle. That's good for Damarius Thomas owners. Joe Mixing still not practicing with that ankle. If he doesn't go, that means Giovanni Bernard, who was one of the waiver wire ads I told you about on yesterday's show.

I think he would be absolutely awesome if that were the case. All right, here's the other thing I wanted to get into. I want to get into a DFS line of guys. I usually do this on Friday, but as I said, this is gonna be my last show for two thousand and seventeen. I'm you know, I'm gonna be out there and spending some of the one of money I will one from winning my league and winning that cash out there with the Unicorn. I'm gonna make

it happen. But um, I still want to give you some of my thoughts here for Week seventeen DFS, and I also want to tell you what I'm thinking right before we bring on Miguel um who won Week one of the d k MS contest. I want to give you some of my insight and bounce it off Miguel and see if he's going maybe in a little bit of a different way here in Week seventeen, I told you that the Jags are playing, They're playing their starters,

They're trying to keep the momentum going. And what has been the Jags momentum over the last month or month and a half, It has been Blake Bortles. We were talking about Blake Bortles winning people their fantasy championships. Well, Blake Bortles has a matchup against the Tennessee Titans, and that is, you know, kind of both of these teams in playoff contention, and the and the Titans are in

the NFL against the past. Okay, So I like that as a matchup, and I also like that I have a matchup of teams that both have something to play for. That is going to probably be a tame about my DFS lineups this week. I want people that have something to play for, people that I don't think are gonna get yanked at halftime or not be able to complete the game. That is really what it comes down to. This is sort of like the preseason games where you

don't know how long people are gonna take play. So I am avoiding games between you know, two non contenders because I don't know if they're gonna try and go see the kids. Remember we heard about um Davis Webb maybe starting for the Giants. You know, we heard we We've heard these things. So I want to avoid that. So Blake Bortles right now is my quarterback at seventy on fan duel at my running back position, I'm doing

the same thing. This NFC South has yet to be decided. Remember, you got the Saints, you got the Falcons, you got the Panthers. They're all playing each other with Tampa Bay involved as well. We seventeen is all divisional games. Hello, we got some people here at Studio thirty four, here for the holidays, some kids walking around happy with their family here. Maybe got a little vacation into New York. I'm taking a vacation from New York. But I digress um.

So I'm going mark ingram and Devonte Freeman. Okay, these are guys that are running hard. Listen, the bucks are eviscerated up on that front. I like mark Ingram as the goal line back. The guy is gonna get carries um when everybody else is on. Kamara and DeVonta Freeman. Listen to this Atlanta Carolina game. I think it's gonna be very competitive. You're lucky that it's in Atlanta, and Matt Ryan just hasn't gotten the past game going all season long. So I like DeVonta Freeman at wide out.

Check this out. I'm going with Marky's goodwin. I know San Francisco doesn't have much to play for their out of it, but they are building there. Remember the fan girl from the forty nine is fan girl. Tracy Sandler was on and saying that they're really building chemistry and that good juju forgive the pun. So I like Marky's Goodwen to stay hot with Jimmy Garoppolo, Marky's good when even was fine against Jacksonville last you know, last week, maybe not fine. You only caught three balls. But I

expect to bounce back from Mark's goodwin. I like Mike Wallace. Remember I said at the top of the show, Jeremy Macklin is still not practicing. I like Mike Wallace, and they're facing Cincinnati, who have been torched the last couple of weeks. So I like Mike Wallace and Marky's goodwin, and then I'm also taking Josh Dotson same kind of thing. Listen, this Giants team is unraveling. Eli Apple has been suspended. There's no landing Collins. You know, DRC has moved to

the slot. They are not tackling anybody, they are not trying. There is no accountability for the Giants right now. So give me an up and coming kid who just caught a big time touchdown last week, who's starting to get his legs under him in the NFL, and that's Josh Dotson. So my whiteouts are Goodwin at sixty hundred, Wallace at fifty six hundred, and Dotson at fifty eight hundred. I spent up a little at running back, so I went a little cheaper at wide receiver at tight end. This

is where I'm spending up. I got robbed Gonkowski alright, because I don't know what's going on with these Patriots. I don't know what Cooks and Amondola and Hogan. We don't know about the running backs with Gillis Lee vulturing touchdowns. One thing I do know is that Rob Gronkowski will produce, and I got some cash, so I'm taking Rob Gronkowski at eight. In my defense, I'm going with at home. These purple people leaders, the Minnesota Vikings, they have something

to play for. They are trying to maintain the two seed and a buy in the NFC. They got Chicago coming to town. I think they're gonna stop up Jordan Howard. I think they're gonna force Mitchell Robinski into some mistakes. So that's my lineup borders Ingram Freeman, Goodwin Wallace Dotson, Rob Gronkowski at tight end, and the Minnesota Vikings defense. Alex Smith will rest for the Kansas City Chiefs. Patty Mahomes will get the start for the Chiefs. The Jags, however, are gonna go full board. This is information you need

if you're playing DFS on Week seventeen. And we bring in right now someone who's definitely playing DFS in Week seventeen. It is Miguel Inguenos. He was in our daily Fantasy contest with d k M S. If you remember, we did a collaboration all season long, the Fantasy Sports Network and d k MS to help the fight against blood cancer. We were doing free contest every week and then we said the winners of those contests compete in Week seventeen with tickets for two to the Big Game in Minnesota

on the line. And Miguel is one of the finalists. Miguel, welcome, you're here on the Fantasy Freestyle. How you doing? Thank you? I'm doing really well. I'm excited. Yeah, so let's get right into it. Let's first take me back. It's week one of the football season. You went right away, and I gotta ask you, what were you like, you know, were you scouting the preseason? Do you think like it's easier or harder in Week one? You don't see kind of what teams are really all about? Was that actually

a benefit for you? Take me back in your mindset all the way? We're back there to labor. Well, I rely a lot on the experts. I I you know, I followed preseason and saw it. But you know, as you say, they don't really play, they're not really showing what they're gonna do. So I think, I mean, it's hard to tell because you guys only uh, they only keep the listings for ninety days. But I must have had Kareem Hunt because he got Kareem Hunt had a

huge Week one. I remember this was also the week that Terry Cohen came out of nowhere in Week one for the Chicago Bears. But yeah, Kareem Hunt definitely announced his presence for real in Week one? Do you remember, though, Miguel, it wasn't like, did you have to sweat it out? Did you have players in the last game or did you have like such a huge lead that you felt comfortable towards Yeah, I mean I think I got over two hundred points, and uh it was an amazing Hey

what can I say? I beat six hundred forty players

and uh, it was, you know, the biggest day until now. Yeah, So tell me about this, like at the moment where it's sunk in, you know where maybe it wasn't until the very end of the Sunday night game, you know, but the moment when you could see your lead and you could see that, you know, maybe the guys in second and third place didn't have any players left, when it actually sunk in that you had, like you said, beat over six hundred other players and a lot of

chance to win tickets to the Super Bowl. How does like, when did that happen? What was your like, what was the first thing you did? I just told it was really excited because it's it's really the biggest thing that's happened to be able to get this far and something and you know, I've I've looked at who my competition are, and I don't know if you looked at it, but uh,

there's eleven of the sixteen or big time ers. There's one big money and uh, I'm one of the basically rookies out there or I don't even know, but these other but you look at some of their names, you know, and now you're definitely in there with some big boys, Miguel.

But here's the thing, I actually think, listen, in this situation, this is the perfect kind of contest because you all, guys, everybody has one entry, you know, so you're not going up against these kind of algorithms and people with multiple shares and multiple lineups, right, And to be honest, there's only sixteen players, you know. So I mean, if you if you got the right guy who pops off, you literally do have a hands to make it to the

big game in Minnesota. Miguel. Let's spin it forward. The week seventeen is a very interesting week to play DFS. As I said at the beginning of the show, the RAMS is gonna arrest their starters, so you know, you take golf and you take Girly off the board. Alex Smith is getting bench for Patty Mahomes this week. Yet it sounds like the Jaguars are gonna play their starters. I gave out a DFS line up before that. I like Miguel and I actually have Boardles as a quarterback

because I'm hearing that. Listen, they are gonna play their starters. They're trying to build a positive momentum. I like the match up against the Tennessee Titans, but like, what are you doing this week to adjust for some of these teams that are non competitive and and not playing well. I think the key thing is to follow the news. I means all the local news and really see what's gonna happen there, who's gonna play and who's not. I mean, I've looked at all the weekly uh lists, you know,

rankings and stuff, and they're all over the place. I think they're probably noticaters are pulling their hair out, you know, because they don't really know at this point what's going to happen. But I, uh, you know you talked about Jacksonville. Well, Kelsey's I counted on all the year and he's ranked really low. Now, yeah, but the Jaguars, the Jaguars defense is no longer our top five defense this week, So what's going on with that? I mean, I don't I

don't know. Maybe they're maybe they're a little bit um, you know, down downgraded because of what happened last week in San Francisco Jimmy Garoppolo and the Niners scored forty four points against them. But I hear you, the Jags defense has been you know, um good the whole season long. And I gotta tell you, I like that matchup against Tennessee. Also listen to Marco Murray is banged up with a knee injury for Tennessee, Marcus Mariota has not looked that good um and taking the step that a lot of

people thought we would take. So I think Jacksonville was definitely a viable d right away in that matchup against Tennessee. Let me ask you this because you know, when we look at the unning backs, I like some of these NFC South running backs who all have something to play for, you know, guys like mark Ingram, like DeVante Freeman. Where do you what are you thinking about the running back position this week? Well, you know, I really like Freeman

and I like Colman. Why is Colon rank solo? This week. I don't know. I guess they're just thinking that maybe with the share you know, that they may focus a little bit more on Freeman in that committee this week. You never know, but it's hard to say if they want to restaurant. I mean Ingram and Toms. Been hard to go wrong with them all year long, but um, you know I love those guys. So let me ask when it comes to the lineup, you're not gonna be able to afford all these exactly at the price and

the budget. Is something I did want to ask you about, Miguel. What do you think conceptually? Are you a kind of guy that feels like you have to leave, you know, spend every dollar or are you comfortable leaving a couple of hundred dollars left on your budget with the team that you make Because sometimes people over tinker, right, and you got two hundred dollars left and you're thinking that that means I need to fidget some more, and instead you wind up, you know, going against your gut and

it screws you in the end. Are you kind of even money on the table? Oh? Yeah, but I won't. I don't really like right, you know, I'll look then, But sometimes there's guys I really believe him, so I just want to keep him. I already did at preluny lineup and I'm not trilled to it. So I gotta keep working on it. Oh, you're gonna keep working on So who are some of the guys that are debating about if if if you already kind of you know, did your first draft, who are some of the ones

that are on defense on well? I mean, do I really count on Hopkins this week? You know? I mean, he's a great guy. You gotta love the match up against Indianapolis too, right, the Colts of really giving it up in the secondary. The question is because he's been banged up. You know, you see the practice reports. I think you gotta look at the practice reports. I mean, DeAndre Hopkins has been amazing all season long. But the thing in your favorite Miguel is I think he still

needs some yards to pass Antonio Brown. He has a chance to lead the league, you know, in all categories. He's already leading it in touchdowns. So I have a couple of different kinds this year.

And then also we've seen it since the end of the fantasy season, you know, this week, unfortunately the stats over beat Cipher. Maybe going on vacation as well. Not as many calls, not as many questions. Everybody's taking it easy for a little while until two thousand eighteen, and then once baseball and basketball get really in full swing, I expect the Cipher to get back. But we will be here all the time seven eight pm Eastern Time on the Fantasy Freestyle Bavona. Let's award here these game

of inches. Check this out. First thing I want to talk about is Ryan James. Okay, Ryan James hit me and Maria Marino on Twitter and actually gave us props. Me and Maria Marino first team all lit got. We got credit for helping Ryan James win their championship because apparently we told them to start Blake Bortles. I told a lot of people about that last week, and also we told them to start d d Westbrook over Golden Tate.

He made that change right before kickoff on Sunday, and Deed Westbrook helped him win his league and win that cash. He won by less than a point. And check this out. His opponent had Josh Lambeau, the Jacksonville Jaguars kicker who missed an extra point that was a point that decided it. He also had my guy Coats to the Nukes, DeAndre Hopkins New Hopkins, who made what I have to believe is one of the catches of the year. Did you see, Bavona, did you see that touchdown catch that de hop hat

on Christmas Day? Absolutely I mean, I have DeAndre Hopkins, so he helped me win my league and win that cash. Also helped Ryan James win his league. So check this out. We told him to put Westbrook in over Golden Tate, got a missed extra point out of Josh Lambeau for the opponent had DeAndre Hopkins and that touchdown catch and then check this out and going into the Sunday Night game.

This is why I think this is interesting. You ready, Ryan James going into the Sunday Night game, he and his opponent each had one player left you ready for you guess who? You can guess who the two players were. It's one of them, Derek Carr. No, check this out. One of them had Michael Crabtree, one of them had al Sean Jeffrey. Both of them had zeros in Sunday Night. So he kept his lead by less than a point. Hashtag game of inches. What do you think about that?

I like that Actually, the fact that he had they both got zero exactly, that's you know that, that's truly like the double right there exactly, That is the double goose egg. So I like that a lot. Also, people people lost or won their leagues with the Philadelphia defense Bovona, because on the last play of the game, it was another one of those way with one team's trumping on to the laterals left and right. He winds up being a fumbleble and

a defensive touchdown for the Eagles. But check this out. That also made it a nine point margin, and that was what the spread was in some books. So I think Doug Peterson, the head coach of the Eagles, check this out. I said this on yesterday's show. I think he had Oakland plus nine and a half half if you wanted to go truth, because then after that touchdown he decided to instead of kicking the extra point, that to take a go for t to a kneeled down to show mercy to keep it at a nine point thing.

So if you had Jake Elliott as the kicker who didn't have an opportunity to kick that extra point, if you had the Philly defense, that could have been a hashtag game of inches as well. And then I'm looking at Week fourteen where Logan one one by point nine, he was down by eleven and he had Jarvis Landry against Brandon Cooks. I really like that. I really like that also because I just love seeing the Patriots get their butts beat. Yeah, no, you gotta love that. So

What I think we're gonna do when I get back from Asia, because you know it's a little slow during playoff football, we will once again have Speeds Versus the Kids.
