ultimately be a boxing match. You know, we have been talking about this for weeks, if not months, on the Fantasy Freestyle, so we're definitely gonna be getting into that on tonight's show. Also, listen, I'm gonna be giving you my starting lineup as rules rules, so you could win your leagues and win that cash. Also, because the NBA has uh you know pause. The other basketball we've been talking about is that Big Three three on three league.

We gave you our rankings. We got some trash talk heating up that before they tip off June at the Barclay Center. And also, you know, we're gonna, you know, step in on a couple of stories that we have been talking about throughout on Fantasy Freestyle. But now that I'm not giving that day by day NBA update, we got a little bit more time to get into it. We're gonna talk about updates to the sports gambling landscape. We're also gonna talk about gender fluidity in sports, remember

that high school wrestler that we talked about. Where there's a couple of other cases that we're gonna get into. But we also got to pull question up, as always right now, which is more hyped. Is it gonna be this Floyd Connor fight that it's gonna go down August? Or was it this three p in the NBA Finals that we have finally seen and just ended between the

Calves and Warriors. That's what I want to know. I'll tell you all about the ways to follow us and get with us when we come back, as long as you know you stay tuned after the break, come on back. I've been telling you guys for a while that the buzz has been palpable, but I don't know. Maybe it's the NFL season that's the most hyped sporting event of two thousand seventeen. But because of the news of this Floyd conomercgregor fight becoming official, that is our poll question up tonight, and you could always get that at F and T s Y Radio and at your

boys spitting speed on Twitter. Right now, I put up, is the NBA Finals? Was it this fight? Well? Was it something else? And right now sixty percent of you who are voting so far are saying that it is the Floyd Mayweather Connor McGregor fight, that it will is or will be the most hyped sporting event of two thousand and seventeen. Let's get into the starting lineup right here in major League Baseball got some news and notes for you. CC Sabathia left last night's game against the Angels.

He was rolling left after the fourth inning. Uh. They say he strained his hamstring a DL stint maybe in CC's future, shame because he was cruising in his last five starts. Also in that game for their opponents, the Anaheim Angels, Mike Trout, consensus best player in Major League Baseball, says he hopes to return by the All Star Game that is coming up ear next month on July eleven.

That would mark six weeks from his original surgery and would in fact beat the timeline that was laid out for him at the beginning, you know, of the projection when he had that procedure. So, you know, Mike Trout working to get his way back and maybe back at the very start of the second half of the season. Also with the Angels, we're hearing Cam Bedrosian had a rehab appearance with High A Inland Empire. Gave up nothing,

you know, had one inning, pitch, struck out two. This is a guy who might be back in the Angels bullpen by this weekend, and he could be an option potentially to replace Bud Norris to get saves for the Angels. But then again, without Mike Trout, how many games are they really gonna win? The walk off win against the New York Yankees last night? Notwithstanding today, Matt Kemp left today's game, okay, sliding into third base. He was pulled.

They say he might have reaggravated a hamstring injury. Remember he was on the d L earlier this season due to that very injury. So keep an eye out on what happens with Matt camp. In the last note, I'll give you here ya c L. Puig, the suspension has come down. Remember he flipped off fans in Cleveland after a home run on Tuesday. He has received a one game suspension. However, note noticed that Yasil Puig will in

fact appeal. Alright, let's keep him moving here. On the Fantasy Freestyle on the award winning Fantasy Sports Radio network, UM, last night, it was Clayton Kershaw a day, okay, and I said that listen, if you want to pay up for him, it, you know, probably makes sense. He had a normal Kershaw outing, but it was not incredible. It was not amazing. Okay, seven innings, he gave up two runs,

struck out four people. But this was not like some kind of absolutely ridiculous tent twelve thousand, five hundred effort, so you might have done all right trying to beat him as I recommended. I gave you two guys who here's the thing. They pitched really well, but they didn't give you any kind of depth. I said. I liked C. C.

Sabathia at eight six hundred. He only went four innings before he had the hamstring injury that I mentioned to you, so he didn't really He didn't give up any runs, but only got you twenty four points in fan duel um, So hopefully that was enough for you. It was enough for me to cash in my lineups um. And also Zach Granky Zac Granky only went five and two thirds again, did not give up any runs, struck out four. So let's flip it forward to tonight. Tonight your studs up

there on FanDuel. You got Corey Klueberg, but that game looks like it might have some rain issues. I hope you didn't go there. I would stay away from it. Irwin Santana up as well, but I think you can beat him with some guys in the eight thousands on Fan Duel. I'm gonna give you guys a couple. First of all, Dylan Bundy. I like Dylan Bundy at Chicago against these White Sox. Remember, any time the White Sox are against a right handed pitcher, including Dylan Bundy, you

can go ahead and fade the White Sox. In my opinion, I've been saying that all season long. My boys Tony Sencata and Benny Riccardi on the DFS Lineup Block Show have also been saying that, I think this is an opportunity. Dylan Bundy at eighty six hundred on Fan Duel. And also listen, I started this season telling you how much I loved Robbie Ray, and well, the analog in the

American League has to this year be Michael Paneeda. I used to call him Michael Pinata at the start of the season, but he has spun quality starts in six of his last seven. He is going for eighties seven hundred tonight on fan Duel against these Angels. Remember these Angels still without Mike Trout. It's not like they are scoring runs. Even in their alone win last night against the Yankees, that was an extra inning affair that I think was the three to kind of final, so you know,

I mean they're not putting up and hurting pictures. And Michael Paneeda has been hot, and uh, I think he can keep it going. The other guy I'll give you if you want to pay even less tonight, is uh, how much you consider Mike Leak. I know he has tailed off a little bit, but I just think he's still good. I went back to his last start against Milwaukee, and he was really good in his last time facing the Brewers, giving up only two runs and striking out six.

And that was in mil Talky tonight, it's in St. Louis, which is obviously a better picture, more picture friendly park. So I think if you want to spend a little less money, Mike Leak could be an option. Okay, that's what you could do to win your league's tonight. And I'm gonna tell you something. Species spitt in status station. Whether it's been baseball, whether it's been you know, basketball, whether it's been horse racing. For goodness sakes, I have

been hot. I have been blowing up like a Samsung seven. So hopefully you want to listen to me tonight, you know, check it out, though, as we keep it moving here on the Fantasy Freestyle on the Fantasy Sports Radio Network. There was the Major League Baseball Draft over the course of the last couple of days, and it gave me I saw something very interesting. At the top. The first

two picks were Royce Lewis and Hunter Green. The Twins took Royce Lewis, He's a short stop from California, the Red sick Hunter Green, He's a right handed pitcher from California. He was actually on the Sports Illustrated cover. Okay, here's the thing, and there's a you know, um, both of these guys, Royce Lewis and Hunter Green are African American, and I thought that was interesting. Joe Adele, also African American, went with the tenth overall pick to the Dodgers. A

couple of other people in the first round. It makes me think, like, you know, I've heard for a long time about how there's not enough um young African Americans in the game of baseball and all sorts of reasons. I even, you know, back in my history, have worked with nonprofits that do a lot to support youth baseball. Harlam RB I big shout out to them, but um, you know, if there's the the talent is not the issue as we see, you know, these kids going so high in the draft. I don't think this is a

talent issue. I think this is an opportunity issue. Okay, you know, like when it comes down to it, you need equipment to play baseball, you don't to play basketball. You need eighteen people to play baseball, and you need

positive role models out there. So I give it to people like the c. C. Sabathia is like the Kirmers Granderson's, like the Andrew mccutcheons out there, like the Josh harrety sins out there that are providing positive role models out there for our young African American boys that are growing up with the idea and the dreams to potentially play baseball. So I'm very excited that I see um that at the very top of the Major League Baseball Draft. It's

not a talent issue. It's an opportunity uh issue in my opinion. And also the other thing is nothing nothing we talked about this with the pace of play changes that we talked about baseball. Regardless of what you know,

nationality or race, you are are. Young people today have what the what the commissioner has even called an attention span kind of deficit, you know, and we have to kind of market this game based on the attention span and the way millennials are with this kind of just in time society, and that is, you know, counter to

the kind of lazy pace of baseball. And so hopefully these pace of play changes, some of these other ideas that we've been talking about when I gave my commission or platform may also um grow the appeal of baseball so that it has a wider tent moving forward, and that kids of all ages, kids of all races will um you know, be engaged and want to play baseball in the same way right now that they want to play basketball or football or even soccer and other things.

All right, So I think that's very interesting. But once again, big shout out to royce Lewis and Hunter Green going one too. In the most recent Major League Baseball draft, like I mentioned, you know, we had a base a big time party here for the opening of the Rhodo Experts uh football draft prep package. Uh. So with that in mind, let me give you some news and notes from around the end. Fell Eric Decker, who was recently released by the New York Jets, is visiting the Tennessee Titans today. This might be a perfect fit to continue to support Marcus Mariota. He is a guy that can move the chains.

Decker also scortes touchdowns at a rate that you probably would not believe when he is healthy. That could be a nice support to that exotic smash mouth. And remember they also drafted Corey Davis early in the draft Washington running back Matt Jones, who Matt Jones has asked for his release from the team. Okay, now there's gonna be some running backs over the next couple of months that

get kind of cut and are on the street. Remember, we've heard that the Eagles may In fact, there have been reports that the Eagles may move away from uh Ryan Matthews. Think about what the Jaguars did with Leonard Fournette. What does that mean for Chris Ivory? And there are still some teams that could be looking for, you know, to build a committee. In my opinion, the Charges and the Colts come to mind, but we shall see. Also, Dallas wide receiver Cold Beasley is going to miss mini

camp with a shoulder ten denitis. They're calling that they're gonna try and uh he still needs a little bit more time to get himself one. We also here, UH rookie wide receiver for the New York Jets, third round pickout of Alabama, A Jarius Stewart had some and groin surgeries. Okay, he's gonna miss mini camp. This is the guy that a lot of people slated to be a starter now to replace Eric Decker. The fact that this rookie is kind of outside of those greatest Shape of his Life stories.

If they got injuries and issues already, you know it could be an issue. However, in the Greatest Shape of his Life department. Doug Martin running back for the Tampa Bay Bucks. There are reports out there that he is quote unquote quicker and the bulkier on the practice field during mini camp. Don't forget, though, this guy has a three game suspension. So regardless of where you are at the beginning of the year, it's gonna be my man. Pop Quiz Jock Quiz Rogers toting the rock for many people.

Sleeper team the Tampa Bay Bucks. Will see what speeds things starting next week in my team by team previews. Also, I got some tight end news for you, UH Panthers tight end Greg Olsen. He wants to raise He's not gonna hold out or anything like that, but he is now only ten the twelfth highest paid tight end. His production has been false superior to that. He's been talking to management saying he would like to renegotiate a new contract.

And in Washington, Jordan Reed, they're saying he looks dominant. At the start of minicamp. He was not at O t A. So this is his first time back since Week seventeen. Remember he ended last season a little bit banged up. This guy is still going to be Kirk cousins number one target in my opinion, even with Terrell Prior now in the fold. Also in Atlanta, they're talking about Austin Hooper. Mattie Ice, you know m v P quarterback, says that he is quote unquote playing like a veteran

in what will only be his second year. This guy had flashes and he might be an interesting piece of an offense that you know is going to produce. Let's keep him moving here though. On the cipher in the fantasy freestyle, what I've wanted to tell you guys as this idea that um, there may be movement on sports gambling. I've talked to you guys about court decisions and loopholes and things of that nature when we had the horse

races a few weeks back. But um, the American Gaming Association actually met with the unions for all four major sports last week. And the CEO of the American Gaming Association, his name is Jeff Freeman. He says the leagues are a quote unquote wisely learning everything they can and that are really taking in these studies because they know that gambling quite frankly, it's a way to increase engagement, increase viewership, okay, through betting and through fantasy. And remember how the NFL

specifically was worried about ratings drops. Legalizing betting could be one answer towards that. The NBA has already kind of pivoted in their position under new commissioner and Silver. And you know the NHL, they're not talking, but they are putting a franchise in Vegas that will start next year. We know that Major League Baseball in the NFL opposes

them right now, but this could be changing. What they're saying now is that they're in the stages of basically maybe even on a state by state level, building the infrastructure so that while this becomes legal. It is regulated and kind of understood processes to what they say, quote unquote prevent any shenanigans, but it's going to happen. And here's another little domino in that fight. DFS is now

legal in the state of Vermont, Okay. So big shout out in Vermont, Okay because you can now play Daily Fantasy. So right now, if you're in Vermont, out there and I know you are on Mount Pia, Mount Pierre, excuse me in our you know, sports by line, if you're out there on w s K I at twelve forty am, I want to say big shout out to you guys. Hopefully you're not only listening to us, but you listen to that DFS line up lock show beforehand because they

are giving you what you need. Just now, Governor Phil Scott signed the bill making Vermont the twelfth state to enact the kind of legality of DFS on a state basis. Here is a quote. UM, I won't really read the full thing, but um, they DraftKings and Vanduel said that there is more than a hundred thousand people in Vermont that we're playing and now that it is legal, they can be back out there. So you know, and for us that means more people potentially you know, on the

Fantasy Sports Radio Network checking us out. Um, so welcome, welcome, absolutely, And like I say, I think, um, we have seen movement in these leagues and it's gonna it's a it's a matter of when, not if. You know what else was a matter of when but not if. That is that Floyd Mayweather, Connor McGregor fight. Okay, I have been telling you for weeks that it was going to happen. He'll tell you I have been saying for weeks that this was gonna get done. We were talking about the A side, the B side, how much money, and how they were trolling each other back and forth. And then at the beginning of the week, I told you how this was gonna go down. This is what speeds does

If you guys ever remember that woman who would be like Calmenal you know, and give you the give you like her predictions or her premonitions, the psychic, y'all need to start calling me miss Cleo Calminal at eight four or four eight four three six eight seven nine, because I told you on Monday that this was gonna get signed this week, that they were specifically waiting. These guys are marketing geniuses

and businessmen. They were waiting for the finals to end, the NBA Finals to end, because then the sports news cycle take it from me as a daily radio host after the NBA Finals ends and the Stanley Cup Finals has ended, until we start getting into the preseason of the NFL. From now until then, which is basically what say, like the first week of August, the only game in town is Major League Baseball. That's why they are called

the Boys of Summer. So what Floyd and Connor are trying to do is take advantage of what is one of the down times of the sports calendar, and they're gonna announce it as soon as that window opens. And they have set the date for August twenty six, that is like week three of the preseason. So right after that's over, everyone will be full bore into the NFL. But from now until then, people will certainly be talking about Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather, and I am among

those people. I thought it was great. Connor McGregor on Instagram actually was showed picture of him working out and stuff. So actually showed a picture of Floyd working out and said, man, much respect to Floyd Senior, still getting in a few rounds at the gym. I hope I can still train at that age. Respect. There's a dig and a shot at Floyd me way Weather, who has not fought in two years. Let's not forget about that. He has not

fought in two years. Right now. What you have is Connor McGregor at eight to one to win this fight. Let me tell you how this is gonna go down. I'm gonna tell you about it. I would saying like, oh, I don't know. You can train from multiple disciplines and all that. Let me tell you exactly how this is gonna go down. This is a boxing match. Floyd is the greatest defensive boxer of all time. Connor McGregor is not gonna win a round. This is going to go

buy decision, a whitewash Floyd Mayweather by a decision. Floyd will certainly not have the power or aggressiveness to knock Connor McGregor out. These m M A guys can't knock Connor McGregor out, but Connor McGregor will not lay a

glove on Floyd Mayweather. The best boxers in the world can barely score against Floyd Mayweather, and Connor McGregor will be no different, unless, for some reason, if they turn it into like I said, my Greenberg's idea that they boxed for like nine rounds and then the last one is an m m A. What I also think is interesting. Don't get it twisted. Like I said, these guys were businessmen. I wouldn't be surprised if something weird happens to set

up a rematch. What if, like somehow Floyd gets disqualified so we didn't win, but he's still undefeated. What if somehow, some way there's a draw. What if, somehow, some way there's a publicity stunt like fan man or something like that, which just means that they have to have a rematch and then you gotta pay another sevent to see it again. I don't know, but I think it's possible. That's all

when it's nice out and it's beach weather. You know, in the winter time is when people are watching basketball and football and hockey, and in the summertime, it's really just baseball when it comes to the sports calendar, Okay, that's when you have things like you have tennis majors, right,

and you have soccer tournaments and stuff like that. But you're gonna have You're gonna have this big time fight lead up all summer long between Connor and Floyd, and you know we're gonna be covering that on the Fantasy Freestyle. The other thing. Two other things that do happen over the summer. One that I want to get into real quick is not only do you have the tennis majors, but you have the golf majors. Okay, and the US

Open is starting this week. But here on the Fantasy Freestyle, I can't give you DFS golf, okay, Although here on the Fantasy Sports Radio Network. You can get that with Pat Mayo. She's going to Brown in the fall, and the high school,

like this was the thing. The high school is not going to reschedule this for Phil Mickelson, So he is missing the US Open to go see his daughter graduate high school. However, he did not withdraw from the tournament, which I think is pretty interesting. I don't know if he's got some private jet or something, or maybe he's banking on, like you know, the five or ten percent chance that there's like a weather the lay or issue or something like that and he can still you know

make it to both events. But um, I I find it interesting. I went to found out who the first alternate is and it's a guy named Roberto Diaz. So I, Phil Michelson, does not you know show then Roberto Diaz get this spot and this guy says, quote, I'm not expecting him to withdraw. I'm just gonna prepare to be the first one here waiting for whoever decides to drop out, if someone's injurgy or sick or something. So I'm gonna be there at sixty five in the morning, ready to go.

I like that attitude by Roberto Diaz. It looks like he's going to be in the field because of the graduation and speech of Amanda Michelson. So I got two questions for you, Donnie Burns, if we could bring in the love doctor here in the Fantasy Freestyle. Two questions. One, the Michelson family has gotta be rich. You think they couldn't have gone to the school and been like, YO, will build you a new library, will read saw the football field? Will you know, get you all the A

V equipment you need in the auditorium? You could read? Will rednate you know the uh the planetarium? For the high school or something like that. Don't you need new gold posts or something um to kind of maybe push back, you know, the graduation or reschedule it. That's one thing. And then the second thing. I know you're a young man, Donnie Burns, but what would you choose? I mean, if you're Phil Mickelson and you're like, you've done this many times,

I guess you go to the graduation. But like, what if this was his first ever major something like that, what do you think about it? Love? Doctor? No, I'm much respect to that. Um. You know, he's probably experienced most of this in his life already, and that's why I'm cool with that decision. Like you said, she's actually the commencement speaker exactly. Yeah, so much respect in that regards them. If I'm a younger guy, I'd probably still

make that same decision. You know, family comes first always, and I really do. I guess I appreciate that. Okay, But here's the thing. You don't think the Michelson family could have like green some palms. I think that. No, here's the thing. I think they could have done that, but I feel like it's not the type of guy to do that. I feel like he's you know that blue collar you know I'm gonna go think So, I think as you were saying that, sure that he's probably

already given thousands to this. He's just not the type to be like, hey, can you reschedule this? Alright? Alright, so they know, I mean, they know who her father is, right, they can easily reschedule on their own. And so what do you think about this first alternate dude? Like what he's just waiting to see, Like what's gonna pop off? Man? He's ready, He's ready to go, right, Harles, So I like that. We'll keep tabs on him. Remember, the US

Open starts tomorrow. I believe it's in Wisconsin, right outside of Milwaukee. Of the US Open. Gets it going. Dustin Johnson is your favorite in that one. So check this out. The next thing that's gonna happen, in my opinion, that's gonna take some of the like I'm calling it the attention pie chart of the sports fan. This summer is what we've been talking about for a couple of months now here on Fantasy Freestyle. That is the Big Three Tournament, Okay,

Ice Cubes and Alan Iverson's three on three league. We have been covering this since in concemption when they brought on like the former CEO of the Oakland Raiders to run it and kind of we like how they're doing it as a barn storming tour. I think that's interesting that, because it's a new format, that other countries may be competitive, but whoever wins the Big three has got to be the gold medal favorite. Remember they are also doing this to incentivized engagement and younger viewers. Okay,

this is another game. What do you think about, Donnie, Big three and then three on three is an Olympic sport. Yeah, I'm super excited about the fact that they decided to do this. However, I don't know how the format exactly will be. I don't want them to take this as a kind of like a joke, because you know, we talked about basketball at the time. It's one of my favorite sports to watch. I'm excited that's going to be a thing. But I don't want it to be a

joke in this song. I think it's gonna be absolutely serious. I mean, they're making it an official Olympic sport. This is gonna be They're not gonna you know, they're not putting up anything up there to be ridicule. This is an official sport. I mean, they got rhythmic gymnastics for God's six, you know, they got synchronized swimming. There's a lot of other things they could take more as a joke instead of three on three bowlers. And that's what's

They're already up five nothing at the top of the third, and after three in Pittsburgh it is one nothing Rockies. Herman Marquees has only given up one hit through three Rockies up. One of thing I told you have a bit of sad news to report as well. Incoming freshman offensive lineman Tyler Heinz for Kent State football team died yesterday after practice.

He was an incoming freshman, had yet to play for Kent State, had yet to take a class. The cause of the death is still unknown, but this did actually happen right after UH summer conditioning drills. So rest in peace to Tyler Hines and our prayers to the entire Kent State family. Um. Also, like I said, we we gotta pull question up right now. You guys think that Connor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather is gonna be a more hyped event than the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland

Cavaliers and their NBA finals. I find that to be like extreme recency bias, because you know, we were we were building up to this Warriors calvs. Final for a very long time. But I will say this, I am also very excited because Floyd and Connor are not only two great fighters, but they are too incredible trash talkers. So we're already seeing how they're going at it on social media. I'll tell you what the seven or whatever they do as the kind of documentary to build it

up is going to be huge. And if that goes well, don't get it twisted. There may be some crazy joint that happens which necessitates the need for a rematch.
