Some of you people right now are out there in dynasty leagues, and some of you people need to figure out how do I look ahead? If you are not contending. Remember a couple of weeks ago, I told you everything you need to do if you are a championship contender, you know, streamlining via handcuffed second defensive, things of that nature. If you are not a contender in dynasty leagues, let me tell you something. Here's something, uh, you know, I'd like to give you guys a little tricks to the trades.
Here's something I always do. I checked the contract status of people. You know. I want to know who's gonna be a free agent in the off season, because that free agent movement in the off season is going to create new opportunity. We say all the time fantasy football is a game of skill and opportunity. Well, something that will dramatically change the opportunity of people is the movement
in free agency. For example, last year, you knew that DeShawn Jackson and Pierre Garson were both free agents and we're both likely leaving the Washington football team. So what did that do? That left Jamison Crowder as the likely odds on favorite for kirk Cousins. I was telling people
to stash Jamison Crowder in my h dynasty leagues. And last year, you know, if you had a big kind of super flex or two quarterback league, you knew a guy like say even even a guy like Mike Glennon, you knew was gonna be a free agent and was gonna get a chance to start somewhere, right, So he was a viable I mean, the fifty four million dollars was nice. I know that they want to wound up with Rabinsky, but it's those kinds of things that I'm
talking about. So let me tell you a couple of names to check out, a couple of situations that I think are fluid that I would keep an eye on. If you're out of it in a dynasty league and you can find some of these guys on the waiver wire, um, they may be good statues for you for next year, given moves that I think are gonna happen in the off season. For example, at quarterback, you've heard about Alex Smith being a free agent. What does that mean for
Patty Mahomes. Patty Mahomes will likely be the Kansas City Chief starting quarterback next year. We all think Alex Smith is moving on. They drafted Patty Mahomes for a reason. They love him. He might be worth a dynasty stash for you. You know, Alex Smith is gonna go somewhere. Did you know though, that in Minnesota, not just Sam Bradford, but Case Keenum and Teddy Bridge Order, they're all free agents next year. Case Keenum is making himself some money.
I bet someone is going to give him an opportunity as their starting quarterback next year. He's only owned. You can go out and get him as well. Check this out, though, What about Tyrod Taylor? You know the Bills don't want him. Maybe he winds up in a more past conducive offense, a better friendly offense for him. I know he is not owned in over fifty percent of leagues. Go out and get him at the running back position. Check this out. Carlos Hide in San Francisco is gonna be a free agent.
They have been saying that Carlos Hide is not a fit for that scheme for months. Now. You know what else, they've been saying that Matt Breeda actually is a fit for that scheme. Maybe Matt Brida is worth a stash in dynasty leagues. Maybe he is the heir apparent. You know, Frank Gore doesn't have much left in the tank. Maybe um all in mac is the air apparent as well. There what happens to Duke Johnson stack Because Isaiah Crowwell
is on the last year of his deal. Could Duke Johnson wind up having even more value as the air apparent and maybe more of a three down back in Cleveland. These are things that could be worth your ads if you are not in the playoffs right now and you need to organize the next year. At what we're at. Wide receiver Alan Robinson, who's on the I R right now, but that me is gonna be fixed. He's a free agent. What do you think about him? Maybe he goes somewhere else,
or maybe the Jacksonville Jaguars have a better quarterback. He's worth the status right now. If you have an I R position or in a dynasty league, check this out. Jarvis Landry is a free agent. I think he's leaving Miami.
I think a team like New England would love Jarvis Landry and think about the PPR beast he would be in that situation when a Mendola, you know, a better version of him and Edelman who knows about that, and a tight end real quick, I want to mention to you, Listen, if you're in this position and you need to start thinking about next year, go grab two guys, a tight end Hunter Henry, because Antonio Gates is finally going to
move on. They're going to realize that now that Gates had his touchdown record accomplished, they're gonna realize that Hunter Henry is the guy that should be on the field all three downs for the Chargers in the past game. And the other situation I want to tell you about is in Tampa Bay they've been going with this two tight end set right O J. Howard and Cameron Braid.
Cameron Braid is a free agent. I think he will likely be next somewhere else next year, and the Bucks knew it, and I think next year O J. Howard in his second year with no Cameron Braid, I think at that point in time O J. Howard would be a nice dynasty stats for you. Those are some guys that, based on contract situations, either with them or with their teammates, I think could be very interesting in dynasty leagues.
