I know, me and my mom are talking about the Derek Jeter retirement that's gonna be taking place in the Bronx on Sunday night, which brings me to some of my guests today. I'm very excited a little bit later on, we're gonna be bringing to you my guys from the All City Hour, Sam Solgar, Zippy and Miko got too, So they're gonna come in. We're gonna be talking about all things Yankees. We're gonna be talking about the NBA Playoffs, big things.

He resumes his baseball activities and could return in the next week or two. Remember coming back from that hamstring that the Mets knew about, but let him play anyway. King Felix Felix Hernandez says he is still sore when he plays catch, trying to come back from that shoulder injury. My, how the mighty have fallen? Speaking of which your is, Familia. They haven't announced he's going to have blood clot surgery. He is going to be out several months, not weeks. Months.

I told you about this earlier in the week. I told you who to pick up, and it was Addison Reid. He was only owned early in the week. He is up to sixties seven percent owned. That's why you need to listen to spitting statistician all the time. I give you what you need. Now the other person you might want to look at, and that Mets bullpen is handseled, role less. He's only twelve percent owned, and it's not like Addison Reid is gonna be reliable. He also could

go down. Speaking of which, if you're looking for closers, Sean Kelly was activated from the disabled list coming back from a back injury with the Washington Nationals, and the Brewers have announced the change at the back end of their bullpen as well. If Toddy Felie is now not there by himself, he's gonna be in a they say, a committee. I think that means Corey Nabele is gonna get a ton more chances. Yo, last night, I gave

you what you needed to win that cash. I told you, even though Dallas Kaika was in Yankee Stadium, that I loved him, but I was gonna stay away from him. He pitched well, shutout innings, six shutout innings, nine strikeouts. He got a qualities start and win. But what did I tell you? Instead? I told you two places to look. One was Michael Fulmer and he pitched well against the angel seven innings, warned run with seven strikeouts, Gotta quality

start and win. And then I told you go look at that game in Arizona with the Pirates and the Diamondbacks. I told you I liked both of those starters in that game. The only problem was that they were facing each other. Well. Zach Grinky had a no hit or through like seven innings when eight innings giving up one run with eleven strikeouts, that look good. Garrett Cole also looked good in his outing five strikeouts and a quality start tonight. Listen, you gotta clicking Kershaw. But he's at Corps.

I think you can beat him. And here's the picture. I think you can beat him with for value. Dylan Bundy at eight thousand at Kansas City. Okay, I've been talking how you fade this Kansas City Royals offense For the last week. Bundy has been good two point one seven al right, facing the worst offense in Major League Baseball. He has seven straight quality starts. I like him tonight at eight thousand on fan do well on Saturday. I

like guys like Marcus Stroman against Seattle. The Mariners are TB D on the slab Okay, I like that from Marcus Stroman. Of course you got Chris Sale. If you want to pay up, don't sleep on Trevor K. Hill either at a bad offense in Chicago against the White Sox on Sunday. It's a day to pay up. In my opinion for aces for good matchups, I like Scherzer they host the Phillies. I like the Graham at Milwaukee. Also another good Pittsburgh Arizona matchup as Nova Ivan Nova

takes on Robbie Ray. Both of those guys have been interesting, you know, point earners for you and to knock a Sunday night baseball at home against the Houston Astros, which takes me to my next topic. As I'm about to bring in my man, Sammy so Zippy from the All City Hour on Sunday night, They're going to retire Derek Jeter's number. Sam, we have talked about Derek Jeter for twenty some odd years. We have talked about it for

like twenty some odd years. I got a pull question up there about like, what is the best Derek Jeter moment? What would you say? What would you argue? Here is the best Derek Jeter moment. Welcome to this show, Semi Dean. First of all, I just like to say it's such an honor to be back on the show. I really amreciate it. So I remember our times back in the nineties watching Jeter come up from the farm system to be the captain, to be the icon that he is today.

They're going to retire his number, like just like Babe Ruth, it's just like it's the last single digit number and Yankees lore. You know, there are no more single digit numbers available. What is what is like that signature for you in your head over the last twenty years from Jet you know, if you want to talk about one moment, I do think the stands, the catch into the stands, comes up with the blood on his face against the

Red Sox. It's like, what is what is this guy not gonna do to help his team win on and off the field. But I think also when I think about Jeter, it's about the fact that there were no scandals. Now he said the right thing, although he has an all star team of his own. In terms of some of the women that he has been associated with, Jessica Alba, Jessica Bill, you know, all of it, but it's unbelievable,

but still single clean. No scandals, although clean could be interpreted a lot of different ways, but no scandals in so many years. For Derek Jeter, He's literally every goodie bags but no scandals right. Something he does everything right, He brings them and then they get like a Jeter signed h signed bat and jersey on your way out the door. So let me ask you this. You talked about you talked about Jeter coming up right and the

way we saw that team building. A lot of people think that the Yankees right now this year are doing something similar, you know, building which so much young talent with one of the best, probably the best offense in Major League Baseball. My boy, Benny Riccardi will tell you here on the DFS lineup block that the Yankees have the highest w O b A against right he's and lefties this year, doing it from both sides of the plate.

I've been talking all season long here on the Fantasy Freestyle about the emergence of Aaron Judge all rise because he is swinging less, making more contact, and when you are six ft seven, two hundred and eighty pounds, the launch angle doesn't really matter. In that ballpark. So when you see guys like Judge, like Gary Sanchez, like what Luis Severino is now doing in his like you know, second stint in that rotation, do you feel the same kind of way in the grand sports cycle for the

New York Yankees this year? How does it feel as a guy that I know we've been We've been outside Yankee Stadium in the mid nineties going to get tickets even against the Seattle Mariners. When Ken Grifvy Jr. Does this feel like the like we're on the come up? How does it feel we earlier? We with it? What do we do here? Sam? The verdict is we played today, we win today. What you feel good about these? You

feel good about these libs? Feel good about it. But I definitely feel that it's still is this rebuilding year and then this is like some gravy on top, cherry on top, and let's chill out and enjoy the win. But you know, do you just go for it and make the trade for starting pitching? It would have to be a starting pitcher in my opinion, because our offense

absolutely needs no problem. This is without you know, without guys like Deeed Gregory is for the first month of the season without Gary Sanchez full on getting into the mode that we saw in the second half of last year, you know, And we were talking about this off air. I said that I would make I would, but I

wouldn't mortgage the future. Listen, And it's got to be ah for a starter, and would have to be for a starter that is not some kind of rental someone that I could also insert there and and think would be there for a few years. I submit Pittsburgh Pirates starter Garrett Cole, who was also in his mid twenties. And listen, the Yankees have a log jam now all of a sudden at the middle infield position. Remember when Mr Mateo used to be like the prize drool of

the system. Now with gliber torres in there and so many others, I think maybe a Mattel for Garrett Cole trade could be very interesting. But that would be the only kind of way. I agree with you that they need to let this develop. The the baby bombers um are per dressing, and so they shouldn't do a prototypical move.

They've gone this far, let the rebuild, let it grow naturally, right, right, because what happened in the arts was That's what it felt like, was they kept adding veterans that we're gonna come in and be a slugger and try to get them. And of course there was some further success down the line, but then it's sort of things have felt like they petered out and then this is so exciting. You're absolutely right. It does feel like you know, um all over again.

But let's let's chill out, let's enjoy the gravy, and let's rebuild, like you say, cornerstones all rise hashtag with Aaron Judge. I told you that we had a long history. We brought on My boy Adam Leon was on the show about two weeks ago when Tramps popped off and we talked about give Me the Loot as well. Well you can catch my man Sammy Sogar and Miko got Too So and Give Me the Loot also available on Netflix right now. But we're gonna get into this. There is a lot of truth in that movie. We're gonna get into it real quick. Though. We're gonna get into the site. I'm gonna give you my news and notes here from

the NFL real quick. The Giants have said that first round pick tight end Evan Ingram, they need to teach him conventional tight end duties. That does not sound good for that adjustment. Remember, going into the draft, I talked about how different the college game is and how offensive lineman and quarterbacks really need to completely adjust to things like language and basic technique. And the Giants are saying that would have an Ingram Macress. Mariota is still not

at full speed yet. He's recovering from that broken leg for the Tennessee Titans. He should not be available at O t A s. There's still recovering, so keep an eye on that one as well. The Bears. What is going on with the Bears between their GM and their head coach making the move for Trabiski. They are earlier in the we cut thirty year old wide receiver Eddie Royal, and today they say they are going to have a tryout for Shoelace. Denard Robinson is gonna give a shot.

Does that mean that we need more people in that running back room before the Chicago Bears, even with the second leading rusher in the NFL last season, Jordan Howard coming back for his sophomore campaign, we will see. But you know, keeping moving here on the cipher here on the fantasy freestyle. We're gonna get into the NBA playoffs a little bit. This is my man, Donnie Burns over here, the Love Doctor and the basketball correspondent. A lot of

stuff going on. Man. We were talking last night before the Spurs Rockets game, and we thought it was a fad of complete We thought the Spurs, you know, without Kauai Leonard going into Houston, that it was gonna be a problem. But Donnie Burns Pardon just did not show up at all. He only had ten points. His first shot attempt was not until like halfway through the second quarter. What happened to the Houston Rockets. They had a chance to still advance to the Western Conference Finals, they were

at home, and they just did not show up. What happened, don If you want to know what happened, you probably should go ask LaMarcus Ologig because four and sixteen a bomb on those guys. James Harden played thirty seven minutes, had ten points, two for eleven from the field, three rebounds, seven assists. Yeah, I mean, that's the way he needs to play. Gave up in the middle of He completely gave up. He completely gave up. He wasn't even around

on some of the plays. I saw Rockets highlights on the offensive side of the ball where Harden was literally not on the screen. Let me ask you this you know how we talked about how Greg Popovich is like

the best coach ever. I now have a conspiracy theory done that I want to bang off you, Um, what if he rested Kauai Leonard in this game purposely because he knew he would like the way that what would happen next would be that l A would go off and have a big game and have to feel that kind of alpha male role again, and that being the coaching tactic to try to get l A ready for the Western Conference Finals against the war with Jane, I think you might be stretching it there only because when

you have Kauai in and he's on James Harden, that spreads everything out for everyone else. They have to be totally stretched out of lives down in there. And that it's not how Greg Papovich wants to play. He doesn't want to be stubbing that quickly. So I think I really couldn't play, to be honest with you, all right, fair enough, fair enough. So that means in our Western Conference finals we have the Warriors and the Spurs. Odds

are out you know, on sports books all over. But first before I give you the numbers, Uh, Donnie, where are we going with this? I don't know if they. I mean, do we think the Warriors continue to sweep all the way or do the Spurs get a game? I will, I will take Golden State in give me six, but six would be in San Antonio. And that's my problem. I don't see them. Ultimately, I think six is all right. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna say even better, I'll say,

and I'll take him in five. You'll check this out. Check this out, though, to get um Spurs, you can get plus nine hundred right now for the Spurs to win the series. Nine to one odds for the Spurs to win the series? Is that tantalize you at all? Done? He know? Because if you know, if LaMarcus All just drops another thirty bomb the first game, they might be changing those odds. It's true, It's true. It's true. Warriors

and six you would get plus four hundred. Warriors in five would get plus is actually the favorite right now? L a uh Vegas likes the Warriors in five. Let me bring in my man, Miko got too so here from the All City Hour. Yo, what do you think, Miko? We were talking about it before, Like, do you think anybody has a chance to upset the Warriors on the way to the finals? Warriors Calves or is that just the way it's gonna go down. It's gonna go down

that way. So you think then, like the Spurs can't do anything against the Warriors, and then in the Eastern Conference like whoever, whoever it is, the Celtics or the you know, nah, nah, it's just straight up gonna be straight up Calves and Warriors. Okay, So then I gotta get your official pick live on the air. Man, who where do you like this Warriors team? You like Lebron? You were talking to me before that, you took that you're going to the West Coast. I'm not. I'm not

too much of a Lebron fan. I see why? Why? What's he ever done against you? Man? I just I don't know. I'm just not into him. You're just not into him. So, and you were saying before that you are into though, Kevin Duranto, he's your boy. Yes, that's I believe in them. Yeah, he's the man right there, He's the man. Even though he went and like joined what was already a great team and just kind of tried to put him over to do what he had

to do. You know, he's a man. He only think for himself, you know what I'm saying, and do for himself. You know, if he felt that he had to leave to go to another team, that's on him. I just like him as a player. Okay, he does everything. Man, he's the man, all right. So you're riding with the Warriors obviously being that let me know, being that he's on the Warriors team. Now, yeah, yeah, they're going all the winsib So let me ask you this. Let me

ask you this. Do you think, because over here don done, you do not think the Warriors would sweep the Spurs? Right, Miko, Miko? Do you think the Warriors could sweep the San Antonio Spurs in the next round? No? Do you think that? You think the Spurs are good enough to get a couple of game. I'm gonna get they're gonna get a game with two. So what do we think Spur Warriors in like five or six? I say the Warriors and I get it five five. He agrees with me, Donnie Burns,

what you say about that? I'm still taking six. Like I said, the Spurs bench can match up with the Warriors, and if Patty Mills also has a game. The Spurs are are not going down in five. I'm sorry we let this out. He's out right, He's not ka kawai, they said, kauai. We think it's gonna be okay for games. The Tony Parker's Tony Parker is out man like anything. He's not good. It's a rat. But okay, okay, So

what do you think about that, Donny? Though, without Tony Parker being like the mind the head of the snake and and uh for the like I said, Patty Mills is very serviceable point guard and he's very well with Danny Green, who happens to start. So that makes the bench a little bit weaker. But at the same time, you know, the Spurs, there's no way they're losing five.

I think there's gonna be pressure, listen. I think it's gonna be pressure because remember this whole thing about like building up to the Calves and the Warriors, you know, like and if the Calves, what if the Calves get out the gate and they're up three nothing in their Eastern Conference final, I think then then there could be a lot of pressure for the Warriors to like try and like take care of it real quick as well. I think you could see some like, you know, shots

over the bottle from the cabs of the Warriors. They're trying to already get in the media. You know, Nico, let me ask you about this because we were here on New York. Right, We're here in New York and we were talking, so we Knicks fans. But the Knicks have been trash, straight, blunt, guts trash for the last couple of years. Phil Jackson and this Melo drama. What is your take on Phil Jackson and Carmelo? Is it tied for Carmelo to move on from the New York Knicks.

I mean, it's it's sad, but you know, I would love to see Carmelo stay. Um, but you know, man, he's done too much. Man. And then with this with Lalla, with Lalla, he's going through he's going he's going through a lot. I'm gonna do a lot. But you know, with Phil Jackson, man, you gotta go. You think Phil gotta go. He's gotta go, man. I thought I thought it was the other way around. Now Phil gotta go. So we're riding with Carmelo. I'm Lloyd is everything, man.

Nick fastest day one. Okay, I never loved another team. I'm gonna nick all the way from New York. I sticked with the Knicks. You know what it is here, so we will trash it don't matter. Mary, So what do you feel about? Okay, you say Mellow? What about what about you know my man the three six lot via Chris stops porzingis you think he's a nice? The only thing that that that, um, you know Phil Jackson did right, That's the only thing that was about it.

Donnie Burns, you feel me on this Knicks take though, right? Fiels gotta go? Yeah? My only thing I love Mellow. I'm not a Knicks fan. I'm actually a t Wolves fan, but I'm a big Mellow fan. But if you were to go to another team, I feel like the Clippers will be the best fit because it's boy Chris Paul. You can, I agree, you can get rid of Blake and or DeAndre because you would be owing Blake upwards of two hundred ten million dollars, and then that would

also keep Chris Paul there because they're good friends. So they are they were talking about it definitely. All right, all right, I agree with you guys. I think it. I want to ride with Carmel though, but like you said, you know, I think it's just a little bit too much. There's a lot of stuff. I think maybe he just needs to, you know, take a step back, dial it back. You know someone else who needs to take a step back. And we're gonna get into that when we come back

on the show. Yo, you may have heard that Matt Harvey, the picture from the New York Mets, got suspended for three games, and people didn't know why at first, and then a lot of stuff came out. I want to get your guys take on it. First of all, there was reports that uh, he was putting a sex toys and his teammates locker rooms as like a prank in the locker room, and they didn't really know how to react to that. Then he went out partying and was

not able to report to the game on Saturday. It was not a game he was supposed to pitch, but he did not make it to the stadium. He was out late last the night before, played golf in the morning and opposedly had migraines or something, and the Mets had to like go look after him to see where he was then, so he was suspended for three games, having his first start actually coming back from that suspension, I believe tonight. We'll check in on his score in

a little bit um. But then reports came out that when he was out on the Friday night, remember there was like the met Gallo or whatever it was. Check this out. He used to be dating the supermodel Adriana Lima. He saw Adriana Lima there with yes, yes, yeah, saw him. I'll tell you I'll tell you, but he's with the new man. So basically, he went on a bender, got all messed up and couldn't report to work. You know who he was with, Sammy? So I don't know, Oh

you want to find out? Yes, who was with Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman. So so then Harvey, you know, felt some kind of way, went out clubbing, went on a little bender, didn't report to work, and got suspended. Sam Now you know this, Matt Harvey is actually a big Yankees fan, you know he always and this is like the last year or the deal and stuff like that.

What should the Mets do with Matt Harvey? I think he's just he's he's a little too old for this now and maybe the city is a little too big for him right now? What about? What about the Mets in the eighties? What would David Cohne have to say about this? These guys held it together. They held it together. They probably were on the mound on various substances, still pitching a very equality starts. There's no excuse for this. You in a little miffed because you want ex girlfriends

or someone else. Come on, you need to keep it together. Alright, Wells was on the mount probably on a few something like that. Migo.
