The Yankees and the Chicago White Sox made a deal. Todd Fraser, David Robertson, and Tommy Caineley come to New York. Uh going back to Chicago Tyler Clippard, Blake Rutherford, who was the Yankees first round pick a couple of years ago, along with minor leaguers Ian Clarkin and Tito Polo. Let me tell you about this trade. Todd Frasier helps the Yankees. Okay, he's a New Jersey kid. He helps the Yankees at both corner infield spots. Remember Chris Carter has not done
it at first base. He was released like twice for the Yankees. Chase Headley has slowed down as well. The Yankees tried to make a move. Remember they got that kid, Garrett Cooper out of the Brewers farm system last week. But Todd Frasier will be able to augment that lineup and David Robertson. These Yankees are really building a nasty back end of the punt pen. They now go David Robertson, Dylan Batantis and a roll this Chapman. If the Yankees have the lead after six innings, you could pretty much
lie suck it up. But I gotta say this, this kid, Tommy Tommy Kane Lee. I think he may be the actual gem of the trade for the Yankees. And here's why. He's another powerful arm out of the pen. This guy has sixty strikeouts and only thirty six innings pitched already. And here's the other thing. He has signed to a friendly deal through the year two thousand and twenty. For this kid in his mid twenties. This could be the
jewel of the deal for the Yankees. There was also some speculation on this network earlier today that when you have now Kine Lee, when you have now Robertson, could the New York Yankees be like lining up to maybe flip Dylan Betances for a starting pitcher. We will see. Remember the trading deadline at the end of this month. There will be a lot of moves to be made. Also, remember j D. Martinez did go to Arizona for three prospects.
He's gonna be in that lineup. It looks like they have him hitting fifth, right behind Paul gold Schmidt, which will help out gold Schmidt and will help about JD. Martinez. This d Backs lineup can be a beast down the home stretch. The other thing I wanted to mention is in the corresponding move for the White Sox. After they made that deal, they brought up Johann Mancada. He is the number one prospect in all of Minor league baseball.
He was hitting with an eight thirty three ops in the miners, had twelve homers and seventeen stolen bases in seventy nine games for Triple A Charlotte. The other thing I'll say about Joan Mancada I reported this at the beginning of the year. Juan Mancada has a very interesting pregame meal all the time. You know what it is, Twinkies, twinkies,
and more twinkies. The man says he eats eighty five twinkies a week, and teammates have said that in one week they've seen him put down two hundred and twenty five. That might be okay when you're in your early twenties, but later on in his career that's gonna come back to bite him. What I'll also say is, I've been telling you guys for the last couple of weeks. When these trades happen at the trading deadline, the most important and thing to target is potential new closers when relievers
get trade. For example, David Robertson now with the Yankees will not be getting saved. So if you had him in your fantasy team, you know you're losing that opportunity. But with every you know, closure lost is a closer gained right now if you go out and get Tyler clippered, because they have announced that Tyler Clippard will be the
new closer for the Chicago White Sox. Similarly, there's reports now that there are up to maybe twelve teams that are interested for the left handed reliever of the Detroit Tigers, Justin Wilson. So I'm here to tell you right now, if the Tigers move Justin Wilson, the guy to have is Shane Green. And Shane Green it's only owned right now in three percent of season long leagues. But if they do trade Wilson, I think it'll be Green that winds up getting saves for the rest of the season
for the Detroit Tigers. Earlier today, there was a lot of afternoon action Cubs and the EP Third baseman Chris Bryant sprained his finger sliding into third base. He will be day to day moving forward, keep an eye out on
