You found Fantasy Football Weekly Micro, a deep dive on one player in just five to ten minutes. Now here's your host, Paul Georgie. It's Fantasy Football Weekly Micro edition and experimental version of Fantasy Football Weekly in which we break down one player for five to ten minutes, and pretty much every time it's about ten minutes, So I don't know. The five minutes might have been just more of a goal than really a reality test. I am Paul Giargie and my co host is Guillotine, a Leagues

dot Com writer Tyler Knabiley. Tyler, who do you want to break down today? I think we're gonna go with Nazi Harris a little running back action to say, Oh, I like it coming off a bad year that started horribly ended a little bit better, but didn't end up living up too close to where his ADP was last season. Yeah, not even close. I mean he finishes the RB four team last year, which actually feels a lot higher than like I had him roster on a team and it

did not. No, Well, that's because I think his best games are at the end of the year when your team was out of it at that point. Exactly who was the RB twenty and average points for game for what it's worth. And it's funny because his ADP this year is actually around RB fourteen, exactly where he finished last year or so. Yeah, and there are people who felt like Jalen Waddle was at least as good as he was in limited action. I'm I don't know, Jane la Warren, excuse me, yes, so you know, I don't

know that I would go quite that far. But let's let's dive into Naji Harris a little bit. What kind of um, what kind of advanced metrics should we know about Nagi Harris' season? So, according to the next Gen stats, Nagie Harris finished that's the worst running back in rush yards over expected with negative eighty one. So he's the things not good. I think what's most notable is the running backs that were finished below him. Here they are, well,

he was worst. These couldn't have finished below him, well, I mean above it him, So okay, all right, I got it. So Letard Fournette all right, not on his current team, so dropped by the Bucks. Okay, Melvin Gordon not on it, not on his current team either, right, you know? And then he ended up on the Chiefs and then they never played him. Ezekiel Elliott not on his current team, Michael Carter on his current team at least for now, but might be like the RB three,

He might be RB three for the Jets. James Robinson not on his current team and not on last year's team, and Dalvin Cook mystery in Minnesota, could be off his current team. Yes, yes, I suspect he will be it before everything is said and done, one way or another. So, out of that whole list of players that finished in the terrible yards over expectation, only one of those six were the teams bothered to even retain. So it makes you wonder is Nage Harris a part of the future

plans for the Steelers. I mean, I think the one thing going into last season when we were talking about him and drafting him was the efficiency. Because the efficiency in his rookie season, he was not good, really at all. He had the twelfth worst yards per attempt in twenty twenty one three point nine, and he was tied with Zeke and Cream Hunt this year for the fifth worst in yards twenty to a three point eight. Yeah, that

doesn't bode well. Now, the offensive line has been a legitimate excuse for the failings of Naji Harris because the line is awful. It was awful two years ago. They didn't improve it last year. Hopefully it gets better this year. Talk to me about the impact from the offensive line standpoint in Pittsburgh. Well, it's funny because I just remember I remember two seasons ago it being a huge problem, and yeah, they cannot run the ball. It's like this

running this old line cannot run block. So in twenty twenty one they were the twenty seventh and run blocking for PF, and last year they actually got to sixteenth, which that seems like a marrage to me. It didn't seem like they were they middle the pack run blocking unit. To me, I don't know. I feel like that's where PF can conna sometimes be like, what are they seen that we're not? So yeah, yeah, didn't. It didn't feel that way to me. Now, where Naji Harris helps is

he can catch. Oh, he can catch for sure. I mean that was the thing in twenty twenty one which made him like I think he was the RB five, RB eight something like that in working season and he had seventy one catches on ninety four targets. He was first in receptions among running backs, which I think is notable. Well, I think the reason he did it was with big Ben. Big Ben is just dump off king. Yeah he was, that's right two years ago, right, because he couldn't throw downfield.

The arm was totally watched. UFF think there was a game he like for Ben thirteen catches and something or something. With Big Ben, I remember that distinct leave. So it's kind to take the other grand Soul's kind of like Tom Brady, Matt Ryan. Those guys just dump off, dump off basses. So Big Ben leaves, Kenny Pickett comes in, flash Mitchel Trobisky, and he has forty one catches on fifty three targets, about half as many exactly time for

fifteenthrough receptions a running back. And I think this hurt Naji Harris owners more than anything else. You felt like you could bank on the receptions, Like you know, the running game. It might not be there all the time. Steelers is gonna behind in some games, but you know what, we know he can catch. He was coming off that season with the most receptions of any running backs. You're like, you know, my worst case scenarios. He falls off to like fifth in receptions and he's still gonna help my

PPR leagues. But that didn't come That really did not come together either for this offense. It also feels like Jalen Warren was on the field quite a bit for them last season. I mean the rookie season, it felt like Naja Harris was the guy and he was the only guy. Last season, Jalen Warren kind of made a bit of an impact where this steve. I mean he was I think he's a rookie YEP undrafted free agent and they really liked him. They put him in the

game and he played pretty well. Yeah, and that's that's some more here too. Um. It feels like you're certainly gonna pay a lot lot less for Naji Harris this year than the mid first round pick that he costs you last year. But is that still a good value? Where's he going in drafts right now? Right now? He is going as the RB fourteen, RB fourteen third round. Are you buying him there looking at some of these

other running backs around him? I don't think I am, just because I feel like I said that RB fourteen, It doesn't feel like he was that last season. I think he was the beneficiary of just some some okay games down the strets, some good games, I guess, But I just I don't know why. The offense is terrible,

the old lines good, Kenny Pickett's ninety good. I just I can't get myself behind the draft him in front of some of these other guys, like do you would you who would you draft Najie Harris or Romandre Stevenson Because I'm the leader of the Romandra Stevenson fan club and Damian Harris is gone. So I'm taking Romandra Stevenson for sure. Okay, it's not even close. What about Jimir Gibbs if he gives it's also landing spot dependent, but

in the right place. He's an electrifying runner. So exactly if he looks like he's going to be the lead back, I'm taking Gibbs for sure. If Gibbs looks like he's drops into a timeshare spot, then I would probably lean. I might lean Harris. Aaron Jones, Well, we know he's in a timeshare spot, but we've seen but we've seen what he can do at times, Yeah, which is good, not great. I mean, there was a lot of frustration as a as somebody that was investing in a lot

of Aaron Jones last year. There was plenty of frustration there. But I still think i'd rather bank on that Packer offense. That's Steelers offense. I think I'd take Aaron Jones, who, by the way, is great and it was vastly I felt under you, Spike green Bay last year. Yea, all right, I got one more player for you, but two different situations. All right. Dalvin Cook on the Vikings, Uh, as the presume, even though they paid Alexander Madison, what is in today's

market starting running back money? I think I'd go Dalvin Cook under the presumption that he's going to be the starter and get most of the work. All right, What about this Dalvin Cook on the Dolphins. I just made that team up. It is a potential landing spot. So Dalvin Cook on the Dolphins, Well, now I'm a lot more interested. Uh, that would be a that'd be a tremendous landing spot for him, and I'd be I'd be

a lot more interested in Dalvin Cooking. And definitely Dalvin Cook there, I mean, wouldn't be close Dalvin Cook ends up on the Dolphins given all the other weapons on that offense, I think he'll he'll go in the second round in most drafts. So you think so do you like Dalvin Cook on the Dolphins more than on the Vikings? Yes, for sure, all right, because there's no competition for carries in Miami and that whole offense. No, it doesn't matter

right now. I'm not scared to write you boasted, no um, all right, to let me, let me, let's frame it. Let's frame up the conversation this way. And I want to get to dynasty as well. But percentage chance Nazi Harris starts and finishes the season as the Steelers number one running back. He's the first round running back. He's still seemingly the guy. I don't think Jalen Warren's gonna take a spot from him. I think the numbers, and some of them you hit on here, the terrible efficiency numbers.

I think he's vulnerable more than you think. We talked about the old line being bad. How much how much do you how much of the blame would you give him? Percentage wise? It's his fault? Uh? Probably half? Okay? I mean you know, I think if he had been running behind the Browns offensive line, Nazi Harris would be a first round pick, or the Falcons offensive line for that matter. Yeah, the Falcons have a sneaky good offensive line. Yeah, um yeah,

so yeah, I think that's part of it. Uh, where would you how do you value Najie Harris in a dynasty league? I actually just traded it away in a dynasty league. Okay, so you don't Yeah, so would you get So what's the what's the going rate on him? I think I got a twenty twenty four first, okay for Naji Harris, and I feel like I sold him decently well yeah, just because I mean, you can't get more than the first right now, especially not that I'm in. Yeah,

probably not. I don't think you could get this year a first this year for him. Yeah, I was just too scared about Like obviously, I sold kind of low on him because his his his stock right now, it seems to be an all time low. But like you said, I think it could I could get lower than this. It could be Yes, it could be great. Job Tyler. It's Fantasy Football Weekly Micro.
