Fantasy Football Weekly is also brought to you by Green Belt Premium No name Butcher Quality meets Honda, town Hall Family, Luther Hunt, and by The Park Tavern. Now Now, along with Fanball and League Saves, Matt Harrison and Brian Johnson, here's Paul Charchy in. We never get it right. They never both here at
the same time. Today it is Matt Harrison, No, Brian Johnson, Scott Fish with me. Hello, guys, Hey, how's it going? We do We just need to cut a new generic open that just says it's Paul Churchy and and two dudes who decided to do the show this week. Come not to shot at you. Yeah, I'm sure it is. I was like four shows you're gonna do this year. It's on vacation in Nashville above the other ten shows before that. I was on vacation and some other locale.
I'm a world traveler. We gotta we gotta get Brian credit. He did twelve shows in a row so far this season. Yeah, that's um He's like, it's pretty good and you only put some like three hundred short of me. But yeah, that's pretty good. What are you going to take one off? I never never, just you're the cal Ripken of Uh, yeah, there's something to that. I am. I am the bell cow of this show. Yeah. Um, hopefully not like Jay Gies the bell cow for Miami, because that's uh, that
wouldn't be good. We're gonna try to do a little better than that. We're optimistic, um coming up on the show, all the good stuff that you know and love. We're gonna break down every game fantasy style. We'll bring you five hot questions, take a chance on me, premature speculation, and lightning round. And because we have six teams on by for the only time this year, that means we're gonna have some We're gonna have some extra time are calls.
I believe. I think it's going to happen. Then again, we do tent When we know we've got extra time, we tend to go long and pontificate and all that other stuff that ends up screwing up our clock. Anyway, we'll find out lots of pregnant pauses. Yeah, that could be. Let's dive right into the matchups, beginning with Falcons at Jets. Scott Falcons offensive problems are well chronicled. Now they get the Jets. Does this say get right moment for the Falcons?
I definitely think so. Now the Jets are bottom ten versus every position quarterbacks and runing backs, wide receivers ten ends their their bottom ten against all of those, So I think it's definitely a get right game from Matt Ryan. The Jets allowing the most touchdown passes this season and multiple touchdowns and four straight games. I have an A grade on Ryan. I have an A grade on Julio
Jones as well. Hit The Jets have allowed five touchdowns this year to number one wide receivers scored last week. I think it gets in again like nice two in a row after getting shut out for the first six weeks of the season, no kidding. Finally saw that end uh snook back last week saw ten targets and he's going to be in the slot against bust buster screen. Great matchup. I give him a B grade. Is that baby Mohammed Sanu or Mohammed Sanu sr? Are we sure?
I don't think. I think it's going to be the senior. I don't think it's gonna be the baby. The baby could have a decent game against Busters. That is actually possible. It's the screen door effect. Is we like any any Mohammed Sanu? We are We are already vamping more than often. That's right, unusual Austin Hooper. Uh. Over the last three games, the Jets have allowed four touchdowns and they're allowing six catches per game. In that span, Hooper has been hot
and cold. Three games over forty five yards and three games under ten yards. I'm very Amari Cooper like that. It's the it's the volume problem for him. Yeah, he's hot and cold, but you know this is a great matchup, So I'm giving him a C grade. Maybe he's more hot than cold this week. Uh, DeVonta Freeman giving him an A grade. He's got at least seventy hold of yards. In five straight weeks. Jets are allowing a hundred fifty total yards per game. A grade there B grade for Coleman.
Bad game last week, averaging under four yards per carry. But the Jets are allowing five and a half receptions and over fifty yards per game to to running backs receiving I think I think Coleman can shine there. I hope you're right. I mean, you know that it seemed like a great matchup for him last week and needed nothing. Another strong matchup pays off this time. Yeah. On the Jet side, Josh McCown, the Falcons are allowing two thirty yards and one and a half touchdowns per game to quarterbacks,
but Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady really inflated those numbers. Otherwise, it's actually much worse. The Falcons are doing really well in that area. McCown does have multiple touchdown passes in three straight weeks, but I'm giving him a C grade here. I don't like the matchup. I'm giving both of his receiver se grades as well. It's it's uh, it's yeah. I guess they could both get secrets. They both scored last week five five targets per game for Curse, six
targets per game for Anderson. There's a little volume. There slight edge to Anderson. He's led the team and targets three straight weeks. Given Safarian Jenkins a B grade the Jets. The Falcons are allowing over eight targets and over fifty six yards per game to tight ends and Safarian Jenkins has been productive. I think he can be productive again here against a pretty decent matchup for tight ends. And he did score against Atlanta week one of last season
while he was a member of the Buccaneers. Nice little added bonus there for Austin Safarian Jenkins. And onto the running game. Falcons are bottom ten versus the run, allowing over a hundred fifty total yards per game to running backs. But when fourteen Powell both played together this season, they're only averaging twenty total touches between them, and they're splitting them. Last week, I think they had eleven and thirteen. They're not getting a lot of volume. I know they both
had eight yards last week. Uh Fourtes had eight yards two weeks in a row. And Atlantic is a little a bit susceptible to pass catching backs. They both catch passes. Not a lot of volume though. I'm giving them both C grades. But I'm a little worried about the us. I'm with you. I don't know that I can start you the one. Yeah, it's it's it's a shaky seat for me. Between four tem Pow Bears take ONWN the Saints, Matt and the Bears offense it's been all running all
day and no passing whatsoever. Do you think they loosen up a little bit on Mitch Drabinsky. Well, you're gonna really like the way that I structured this matchup then, because I gave an aid to Jordan Howard's averaging touches per game over the last five weeks, and the Saints are allowing four point seven yards per carry to opposing
backs this season. That seems like at least a hundred yards to me in this game for Jordan Howard and probably their best chance at a touchdown the entire passing game, including Tarik cohen Is on the bench, has to be Robinsky literally through only seven passes last week and sixteen the week before. He's only completed twelve passes in the last two weeks, and they've won both games and they
want so there's not a mandate to change it, unfortunately. Yeah, And the Saints defense actually not as bad as we might think. Um, they've given up three touchdown passes to each Tom Brady, Sam Bradford and Matthew Stafford this year, but in the other three games against Jay Cutler, Cam Newton and Brett Hunley, they did not give up a passing score at all, so I think Mitch Truebiski is more of column B than column A there, so he's
definitely more huntly than Brady. On the saint side, I got mark Ingram getting an a averaging twenty eight touches per game since Adrian left Town has had back to back a hundred yard games and three total touchdowns, and the Bears have allowed the ninth most rushing touchdowns in the league this season. Yeah, and by the way, the it's uh I calculated twenty nine touches per game, but either way, it's too much for mark Ingram and I think Camara is gonna start siphoning some of those offer
nine is is not what it mark Ingram is all about. Yeah, and I have Kamara as a C start too. He's had thirteen and fourteen touches since the a P deal, so he's a decent flex play. Opposing backs are also averaging seven catches per game against the Bears over the past three weeks, so I think he's in playing PPR for sure. Drew Brees I gotta be on. He's had five eight games of either three hundred yards passing or multiple touchdowns. Chicago has only allowed eight touchdown passes this season.
The defense has been pretty solid, but four of them were to Aaron Rodgers, so in the other five games they've given up one or zero. Michael Thomas, I'm still giving a B grade two though He's had double digit targets and three of his last five and has had at least eighty yards and four of his last five. But he hasn't topped the hundred yards this season and the touchdowns only two touchdowns. Yeah, he'll face off mostly against Prince Amukamar. Though held Kevin Helvin Benjamin to three
catches for sixty five yards last week. He's been pretty good. Uh. Ted Gin given a C grade to Ted Gin. Gain's only seen the field for fifty two of the snaps in the Saints last two weeks, but he had sixty six yards in a touchdown two weeks ago and seven catches for a hundred and forty one yards last week. So he's making a lot of hay with the limited amount of snaps that he's on the field, and he's
their deep threat. And I am a little bit worried that the return of Willie Snead, now healthy, will will eat into at least a few of his reps as well. Well. Let's mention Willie Sneed. Sneed was a finally a full participant in practice on Friday. He's been dealing with a hamstring injury basically since his suspension ended. The slot wide receiver is the best matchup and Snead kind of goes into that a little bit there, and Brandon Coleman kind of does as well. And Coleman actually had a nice
little game last week as well. So I think it's probably split time between Sneed and Coleman, so I have both of them on the bench, and Kobe Fleaner we're off the Fleaner mobile where we're far off the Fleaner mobile was only playing the snaps since the Saints became a running team, and and he's he's just not on the on the field at also not Thatch agreed. Uh. The early morning game tomorrow is Vikings versus Browns in London, and I I always like getting the London games. I
didn't get this solve. That's because I like to do the British that entire time, and like I need some I need some British accent out of you. Let's go. Yeah, I don't think that's gonna happen. Um, you will get some new news out of me. This uh, this news just coming down the down, down the wire. As they say, the Browns players had to evacuate it as if is it? What else could go round for the Browns? Right? The Browns players had to evacuate their team hotel at five
in the morning. Here they're trying to castle. By the way, gas leak in the hotel. Um, here they're trying trying to just adjust to the time zone change, right, and you're trying to make up the six hour time zone change and everything else, and gas leak in the hotel has everybody standing outside for an hour at in the morning. Crikey, blindy, that's just beastly, is it? There? Uh so there's your there's your your latest Browns update. Let's talk about that.
Got common UK expressions pulled up on thank you? You can do some insert those whenever you want. All right, go for it. I'm gonna start with the running game. It's tim be tempting to chase Latavius Murray's a big game from last week, but I wouldn't do it. The one thing the Browns do really well stuff the run they are giving up a league best two point nine yards per carry. I'll also remind people that prior to last week, Lottavias Murray was averaging two point three yards
per carry um. They've Browns have only a looted two rushing scores, and none of those were in the last month. No back his top sixty six yards against Cleveland last week. DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry two very good runners and and frankly, two runners that are probably better than Latavius Murray and Jerick McKinnon combined for just seventy two yards scoreless. Seventy two scoreless yards against the Browns, So see grades on Lottavias Murray and Jerick McKinnon. Let's go to the
passing offense, where we believe Stefan Diggs will return. It increasingly looks like he's gonna play. You seem very chuffed about that. I don't want him to play in this game. I am chuffed something. No, I'm not pleased about it as a Viking fan. I was a fantasy fan, great
as a Viking fan more so. No, because they don't need him to win this game against the Browns, and they've got a buy wee coming if if the groin is anything less than one, I wish they wouldn't play him, But it looks like he's gonna go in this one full practices this week. He has done the full Monty of practices this week. Yeah. Uh. The Browns may attack him with solid corner Jason mccordy, who's sometimes shadows. That would be a negative for him. Um, if they don't shadow,
then he'll get some positive matchups against Jamar Taylor. But we don't know for sure which way that's gonna go. I'm going see great on Stefan Diggs in part because groin injury injuries get re injured, get aggravated a lot, and if it goes blow out, they may decide to sit Diggs as well, just to rest the groin. So I would be done backed if that happened. I bet you would. Adam feeling over the By the way, see
great on Steph Diggs if I didn't say so. Adam Clan also a C grade over the last two weeks without Diggs targeted twelve and thirteen times. I like that. But Diggs comes back now, so now he's I think he's gonna get targeted less and most importantly, he draws one of the better slot cornerbacks in the NFL, former golfer Brian Body Calhoun, who ranks seventh overall among all cornerbacks by Pro Football Focus. Only A C grade for Theeling,
only off your trolley. I am off my trolley the h He has given up three touchdowns of slot receivers, but Theeland hasn't scored a touchdown this year, so I don't even know if that's gonna be a factor. C grade on Theeling. A grade for Kyle Rudolph. Targets have been way up over the last three weeks without digs. Maybe that comes back to earth a little bit here, but the Browns have struggled mightily against tight ends for
a lot of the season. Big games have gone to Jesse James two touchdowns, Benjamin Watson yards, Tyler Croft too touchdowns, Austin Severian Jenkins one should have been two touchdowns, Delaney Walker sixty three yards and seven receptions last week. So cal Rudolph A grade. I've got keen Um on the bench. He has thrown zero or one touchdowns in five of six games, and the Browns have allowed the second most passing touchdowns and multiple touchdowns and five of seven games.
But they just shut down Marcus Mariota last week, so who's to say that this is gonna be It seems like a dog's bollocks matchup for case Keenum on the brown side. There's no startable plays here, including Duke Johnson, who is usually a solid contributor through the air. But listening with the Vikings have done to good pass catching backs this year. Alvin Kamara twenty yards, Levy on Bell these are these are the receiving yards. That's all we
care about. Duke h Levy on Bell four yards, theoretic eight yards, Tarik Cohen negative six yards, Tie Montgomery three yards, Bunk Allen twenty nine yards. That's it. Who you thought bunk Ellen would be the best of those? Yeah, that's right. You don't think Johnson's full of beans and ready to go get him? I don't link so the beans for breakfast in England. That's not cool. Isaiah Crowles on the bench.
He hasn't scored yet. He's averaging three point two yards per carry, Vikings allowing just three point two yards per carry, So that means if he's going to continue to get three point two y it's per carry on his average often carries. That's a forty one yard game and he's on the bench. Yeah, that's rubbish. And we're gonna put the whole passing game on the bench as well. You don't even need me to really expand on this. This is uh Kaiser comes back. But it doesn't matter in
fact that it's probably works against this team. So that's it. Vikings Browns. Let's take a break when we come back, take a chance on me. Nine players not normally in your starting lineup, many of them available on the waiver wire. Will tell you who they are when we return. Welcome back to the show, Fantasy Weekly. I'm a fan. Paul Charchi, Matt Harrison, Scott Fish with you. Yeah, I far better than last weeks. I can tell you that which one was last hit Monks the worst. I'd be glad I
missed it. Yeah, you are glad you've missed Hi, You've you've suffered through it before you have you've paid your dues. Nine players not normally in your starting line up. Let's begin with quarterback positions. Scott Tyrod Taylor. He's far better at home, throwing nearly seventy five yards per game. More, five of his seven touchdowns have come in his in his three home games. Yea and Oakland's allowing tune in seventy five yards per game over their last five, including
three multi touchdown games. They The last time they went east to West, they played Kirk Cousins, who threw for three forty two and three. Not to mention Tyrod Taylor's averaging nearly eight rush attempts at home. He can get you some points on the ground there too, gets Jordan Matthews back as well. Matt who you got? I have Philip Rivers And I admit that this one's a little bit of low hanging from Yeah, he's my number five
quarterback this week. He's uh, he's sev owned in ESPN leagues, so that means he's available in thirty and he faces the Patriots defense that's allowed the most passing yards and the most passing touchdowns. There's not really that much more that needs to be said about Philip Brown. No, I mind a little choky as well, but not as choky as that Andy Dalton. It's where for an offense to take a page from the Jaguars. But the Bengals should follow the Jaguars game plan last week against the Colts
basically to the letter. Blake Bortles put a three hundred thirty yards last week against the Colts, and this is a very good opportunity for Dalton going up against the thirty first rank Indianapolis past defense. Only DeShawn Kiser has failed to throw for two hundred nine five yards against Indy. Let's go to the running back position, Scott, Yeah, I have to make a late switch here, but I'm going
with James White. He's averaging nearly seven targets per game, over five targets per five receptions per game, and forty yards per game. He's getting seventy per cent in the New England running back targets. I like him a lot this week. Okay, I made a late swap as well.
I went with Rex Burkhead. He'stalied only six carries last time, but he's averaged over five yards per carry with those touches, something he also didn't Week one, and last week was his first game back after an injury, so they were just working him into the offense little by little. He's only on this field for thirteen snaps last week, but he had a touch and seven of them. That's over the touches per snap. I don't know why you would play any other New England running chart. Who you side
Rex Burkhead. I like that you guys have conspired against I've got Dian Lewis. What WHOA? I know that's hard to believe. Uh, you guys have already hit all the sale talking points against the Chargers. I will mention this about Dan Lewis though, averaging five point three yards per carry, the most on the team, almost two yards per carry more than Mike gillies Lee, who nobody even mentioned. And he's a plausible start here as well. If we had a fourth person, we'd be mentioning Mike Gillies l Uh.
Dan Lewis's rushing attempts have increased in five straight games. Go to the wide receiver. We did hatch that plan in the office last We thought it would be pretty fun, pretty good later. I'm sticking with Josh Jackson. If you picked him up from mature speculation last week for me, I hope you still have him. He plus started and played the snaps last week, most snaps of the season for him. He gets a bottom six Dallas defense against
wide receivers. They've allowed the fourth fourth most touchdowns the wide receivers. I like docs in this week, I went with Tyrrell Williams of the Los Angeles Clippers nine different wide receivers of top seventy five yards against New England this season. The Pats have allowed the most receptions in the second most yards to opposing wide receivers this season. And he's completely due after becoming somewhat of an afterthought since Mike Williams has decoyed his way into the lineup
for like one in two targets per week. It's time to feed Tyrrell. Uh. But Benny Fowler's role will increase again this week with Emmanuel Sanders out again. Last week he set season and career highs with five catches. This week, he draws one of the worst slot corners in the league, Philip Gaines, who ranks dead last at his position by Profoball Focus one hundred ninth. Benny Fowler is your final take a chance on meat player. Lewis is the best player.
He is the best. UH. Let's move on to our matchups, including Panthers taking on the Bucks. We know the bit on Cam Newton at this point that it's very clear against bottom tier past defenses, he's dynamite. Against anybody else, he's awful. This is a bottom to your past defense. Yeah. I mentioned last week the same thing with Newton, that he's become a matchup play and he does bring them up.
Though the Bucks are terrible. They allow over three yards and two touchdowns per game to quarterbacks, and in weeks four through six, when Newton had all those great matchups, that's what he was getting. So I expect an a A grade out of Newton this week. His top guy, Benjamin A grade as well. They're the Bucks are second worst against wide receivers. They have allowed ten different wide
receivers to hit seventy five yards or score touchdown. I I like him to do either or both of those things, agreed, Vin Foncious. He had successful days against Detroit, New England. He disappeared for some others. He's averaging over eight targets per game, which is great since Greg Alson went out, But over the last couple of weeks he's only caught of those. That's not a fluke. He caught less than of his past his last last year. I don't know that that's on him. Though as much as it is
on Newton. I don't fantasy numbers though, right. I don't think he's a good player, but I think he has a great matchup. I'm giving him a C grade, but if he falls on his face, I wouldn't be surprised either, honestly, Uh, Dixon, I'm benching He's question about Tampa Bay is pretty decent against tight end. He's been the last couple of weeks. Jonathan Stewart. I'm not just benching. I'm handcuffing him to the bench and hiding his helmet. He is. He's averaged
just three yards percarried. Is looking for it for him? Yes? And one point six yards percary over the last three weeks. He's just terrible right now. Uh McCaffrey, I'm going to give a B grade to it. Wouldn't surprised me if he does better than that. Even the Buckner's are allowing five or more catches to four running backs this year, and all of those guys scored or had sixty yards. McCaffrey's getting over eight targets and over six catches per game and half ppr PPR. That's where you're gonna be
able to start him on the buck side, Winston. He's facing a top ten Panthers defense. That's I mean, just over two hundred yards per game. It is a tough matchup. But in his last four full healthy games, yeah, three multi touchdown games for three hundred yard games. I give him a B here. I think he might be able to rise above the matchup. I'm giving Evans a B as well. He's he has yet to crack a hundred yards. I get that the Panthers have not allowed a hundred
yard receiver yet. He probably gets a lot of James Bradbury, which is a tough matchup. It is tough, but he does get eight targets a game. Winston goes to him in contested catches anyway he gets that is true. Winston doesn't care. Yeah, ten plus three times. I'm still giving him a B grade here. I'm giving him. I'm given d Jacks a shake year B grade. He still gets seven plus targets per game. He's got that tough matchup as well against Carolina, but he does have seventy yards
or a score in three straight weeks. And when he does catch the ball, he's taking him for sixteen yards of clips. So it doesn't need doesn't need a lot of volume, and he gets Darryl Worley instead of James Bradberry and all probability, and so that certainly helps him great. Tampa Bay is throwing for the most yards and touchdowns to tight ends. Brad At a four game touchdown streak that came to an end last week when O. J. Howard blew up. But Howard hasn't had more than two
catches in any other game this year. I'm benching Howard. I'm giving Braid a C grade because Carolina is top five against tight ends, only Grunk with over thirty yards against them. It's even a shaky C grade. I'm a little worried there. Doug Martin Carolina top five against running backs. No running back over seventy yards against Carolina against Carolina this year. But Martin his carries keep increasing fifteen plus a game on average. He might get there on volume.
I'm giving him a C grade. All right? Uh, Matt Raiders take on the Bills. No Marshawn Lynch in this one. A lot of people on Twitter, with all with this being the six team by week, are looking at starting Jalen Richard or maybe even Washington. What do you think about the Oakland Runners in this game? I got them both on the bench. Only one back has topped sixty yards against the Bills so far this season, and they've allowed only three touchdowns in six games to the position.
Although the bright spot is they just traded defensive tackle Marcel Darius to the Jaguars yesterday. I think Washington gets the primary carries. It's probably a sixty split. Yeah, Richard is more of the ppr angle, but the Bills have only allowed one back to top thirty five yards receiving this season, and no running backs have scored through the air. That's why I got them both on the bench. Passing game, on the other hand, I got a lot of bees
coming up. Derek Carr with a B. Jameis Winston was the first quarterback to throw for multiple touchdowns against the Bills of the season, and he went off last week and the prior five games they had only allowed to total touchdown pass s is. But Buffalo is going to be without starting corner e J. Gaines and starting safety Jordan's Poyer and cars obviously coming off the huge game last week and appears to be fully healthy. Mark Cooper
also had a huge game last week. He's getting a B. Had to ten and two touchdowns last week against Kansas City, but only had eighty four total yards and no scores in the prior five games. That's why I'm giving him the B instead of the A. He's also never scored a touchdown and back to back games in his entire career. So yeah, so so he's due for a goose egg of a touchdown this week unless he's gonna bring the trend um. The Bills have given up big games in the last two weeks to a J. Green and Mike
Evans both scored in both top to eight yards. They also gave up five catches to seventy three yards to the Seawan Jackson last week, which means Michael Crabtree also gets a B. He scored in each of his last three since returning from an injury, and Jared Cook I got a C grade for him. He's coming off a season high hundred and seven yards last week against Kansas City, and this Bill's defense just got torched by the Tampa
tight ends last week. Uh they come bind for twelve catches, a hundred and fifty eight yards and two touchdowns last week. I think Cook is uh gotta. He's probably a B as well. I think I think I'm not. I'm not as optimistic, but we'll see alright. And then over on
the bill side, it's the Lashawn McCoy show. He's got an A. The Raiders have allowed at least eighty five total yards to a lead running back in each of the last six weeks, and are allowing one five rushing yards per game, which is eighth most in the NFL. McCoy has had over twenty touches in four straight games, had twenty eight last week, five of those being receptions
to go along with his two rushing touchdowns. I'll interject that this show urged you to pick up and trade four Leshan McCoy two weeks ago when he was on his by and you could get him cheap, knowing that this series of games was coming. Very favorable matchup last week and another very favorable matchup this week all season right and like no hard matchups left. Scott talked about Tyrod Taylor a little bit. He was just take a chance on the quarterback. So I'll go to the rest
of the receiving game. I got all the wide receivers on the bench. Their wide receivers are complete disaster, and with Charles Clay out this week with a knee injury, Nick Leary, Yeah, he's kind of a deep, deep desperation play if you're really hurting for a tight end. He's been on the field for of the plays the last two weeks since Clay has been out, and the Raiders have allowed three touchdowns to tight ends in the last five weeks, four tight ends of top fifty eight yards
against the Raiders of the season. So a super deep degrade for Nicko Weary. When we come back, Colts take on the Bengals. Will tell you if there's any Bengals you don't want to play when we return. You're distinctive. Fantasy Football Weekly on the Fan, Welcome back to the show Fantasy Football Weekly. I'm a fan. You're number twenty three. Paul Archie and Matt Harrison and Scott Fish with you, um Twitter follower. Paul notes, we can't bench all these players.
You're saying, the bench when six teams are on by, and I get that. You know we can't make them score more points because six teams are on by, But you know it does loosen up a little bit. Of you know what, we what I consider you know what what considers a a C grade A little bit for me, but just starts to start all your Patriots running backs. Is the gist of the story. Yeah, that was that for taking from taking chance of me. That was more than the gist of it. That was the whole story.
I think Colts take on the Bengals in this game this week, not this game this week. Let's just go in a game this week. A grade for Joe Mixon, a potential breakout workhorse. Are you Bell Kyle Game concerned about the lack of any carries in the second half last week? Yes, I am, as a matter of fact, but not so much that I'm I'm even conmoly considering not starting mixing. I think he goes right back to getting the vast majority of the work here. Bengals should
be ahead throughout the game. That means the game flow is going to be on the ground largely. He draws a Colts defense that ranks twenty six and run defense. They've surrendered the most total touchdowns to opposing backs. I love mixing in this game. In a pinch, you could go maybe Jeremy Hill or Giovanni Bernard if you have to, if maybe Twitter Twitter follower Paul looking for somebody on the six team by week uh in the theory being that the Bengals could have had so much that they
go to their backup runners. Maybe it's gonna work that way. Scott Fish nailed and Chris Ivory big game two weeks ago into that theory, so maybe it works out that way. All right, let's go to the passing game. Andy Dalton is an A grade. He was might take a chance on the quarterback A J Green obvious A grade, My top ranked wide receiver this week. What about some other guys he could throw to, like Tyler Croft, who I like in this game with a big aide. He's caught
three touchdowns in the last four weeks. This is his strongest matchup of the year against the Colts. They have bottomed bottom ten tight end rankings in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns allowed. Tyler Croft available in a lot of leagues. Still, you can go get him, pick him up. Lastly, Brandon LaFell Indianapolis ranks thirty feet in yardage to wide receivers. Last week against Jacksonville, Indie allowed the Jaguars wide outs. The Jaguars white outs two hundred thirty seven yards to
the group, so there's enough room to go around. Can I throw one more in there? Just for Paul, no one else, listen, just Paul, this is John Ross. It might be a sneaky play. He's gonna be He's supposed to be, supposed to be significantly involved. Four to two forty. The Colts have allowed forty pass plays of twenty or more yards. That's the most in the league by ten. He might get a big play. He really is possible. John Ross remember first round raft picked by the Bengals,
and he is all speed baby. So yeah, in the pitch, I think you could. You could go to him. I'd rather I'd rather go but in John Ross and is what should be his first meaningful game. It would be a dark throw, but you could do it all right, Indianapolis side, I've got starting grades on two players, but just c grades. We begin with the running game. Marlon Mack gets a seat. He'll get passing down work in a game that should be one sided. So they're gonna
have to throw a lot. So I'd like Mac Cincinnati vulnerable through the air, giving him nearly seven receptions per games to running backs. They just gave up one two total yards to Lavy on Belt, a lot good chunk of that coming through the air, So Marlon Mack with a C grade. Gore's on the bench, though, because they're gonna be behind, he's losing snaps to Mac. The game
flow should go away from Gore in this one. No running back has found the end zone against Cincinnati since Week one, So I'll roll all that together and Gore's on the bench. The only wide receiver you're gonna want to touch here is t Y Hilton. Cincinnati is a very solid secondary, but has shown some vulnerability to opposing number one wide outs, who have cashed in four touchdowns
in the bengals last four games. He'll see more snaps from the right side of the field in an effort to match him up against Drake Kirkpatrick, who looks like he's on his last legs and ranks ninety second among quarterback cornerbacks by Pro Football Focus. So they can start hilting every other part of the passing game is on the bench. The Bengals are the number three pass defense overall. They're giving up just one eight passing yards per game.
Four of the bengals six opposing quarterbacks zero or one touchdowns. The guys who didn't were Aaron Rodgers and Ben Roethlisberger and Jacoby Brissette. Is a long long way from those guys every other part of the passing game on the bench. Next matchup forty Niners taking on the Eagles. In this game, Pierre Garth Stones got a juicy matchup Scott. He hasn't scored yet. Are you gonna be bold and predict the first touched out of the year for Pierre Garden? Sure,
let's do it, alright. Sure y'all pushed me in. I took all the drama out of it, right. No, it's that's a tough call. I mean this is this is a great matchup, starting with the quarterback. Though c J bat Third last week he had a good matchup tuning outside of that rushing touchdown that saved your fantasy day was not great. Are you saying CJ got beat hard? I am like it, but he gets the bottom five Philly d that's allowing just under three yards per game
and four multi touchdown games this year. I'm giving him a C grade, but it's a shaky one. I probably wouldn't start. I mean there's probably a better option, Uh, Pierre Garsan, I'm giving an a minus grade. Bryan Johnson allows that, right, No, as great, He's still get nine targets a game. Yeah, you have to score a touchdown based top ten and targets, receptions yards. It's a great matchup. So the Eagles receivers allowing fifty yards or scored a
twelve different receive evers this year. I'll give him an a minus. Uh over to Kittle. But over to Kittle, Philadelphia has allowed the third most receptions, the fifth most yards, and the fourth most touchdowns to tight ends. Terrible, terrible. So it's a great matchup. But his snaps, oddly, his snap percentage dropped to the whole Iowa connection or whatever Iowa.
I blew that call Iowa Iowa connection. What happened? Yeah, his snap percentage nearly cut in half and they fell way behind and he wasn't involved, only saw two targets when they fell behind. They'll fall behind here, So I see grade because of the matchup. But man, that's tough. Carlos Hyde at least seventy five yards in five of his six games, but he gets the top five run defense in the Eagles. I wonder how much of that is because everyone can pass. On the Eagles. They're allowing
six receptions per game to running backs. Carlos Hide averaging five targets per game, and he's already hit tied his career his career record for season receptions to when he's seven, so he might be able to make it up there. B grade for him. On the Eagle side, Wentz and Earths are A grades. I I don't know that I need to go into it. They're they're just eight. I don't need to exactly the league leader in touchdown passes, and zach Ertz has the most fantasy points for any
tight end. Absolutely absolutely, yep. Weirdly, Jeffrey is not showing up. Even though Wentz is on fire, he doesn't have He's under seventy five yards for five straight games, only one touchdown in that span. I'm only giving him a B grade even though the four nis are a bottom ten past defense elite opportunity, Yeah, great opportunity for him. B grade. He might he might show up today. What about revenge
game for Tory Smith? They didn't want him? I see with revenge very big with revenge only Brian, I have him on the bench, all right. I don't blame you, Nels. I'm giving him an A grade Quarterbacks. Quarterbacks throw into the slot against the forty nine hundred, forty two point nine passer rating four touchdowns. There you go, Twitter follower Paul, he was my he was my original take a chance to me wide receiver, and then I went, aglar is a little too obvious. So you know that's when I
brought it down to Benny Fowler. So yeah, I love giving him an A all right, onto the running game. I am weirdly splitting these two, Blunt and small Wood. I'm giving him both B grades. It's a great matchup against a bottom two run defense bottom too, yes, exactly. Well, it depends on the category you're looking at. But Blunt is only averaging fourteen carries per week over the last five weeks, and the four ns are only giving up
three point nine yards per carries. So even if Blunt's gonna get a lot of carries, he's not involved in the passing game just just to make up a great day. But he might get it. So I'm giving him a B grade. Small Wood, I love though forty niners ranked dead last in receiving yards, receptions and receiving touchdowns to running backs. That's where small Wood. That's where small Wood lives. He was going to be one of our original take a chance on me players near seven receptions the game
to running backs. That's all small would be great for him. Love him this week. Now I've got small with it running back number. That's how much I like him. Final matchup of this segment and Matt, Yeah, if you're slow about it, we're not gonna get to our callers, So you're gonna have to You're gonna have to find a way to plow through a lot of guys to talk about in the Chargers and Patriots matchup. Well, let's start with the Patriots running game, which we pretty much covered
and detailed him depth, and take a chance. Mike gillis Lee was the only guy we didn't cover. I gotta see start for him. It's worth noting that his touch totals have declined from twelve to ten to eight over the last three weeks, but he still remains the goal line back and probably the guy who has the best chance of scoring a touchdown. No fumble goes unpunished by Bill Belichi. That's true, Tom Brady, I gotta be grade on. No quarterback is top two two yards against the Chargers
this year, although I expect Brady to do so. But it's a legit Chargers past defense. That's why Brady gets a B instead of an A. Brandon Cooks also getting a B. Cooks is averaging a career high nineteen point two yards per catch in his top eighty five yards are scored in each of the last three weeks. He's doing great. He's still be Chris Hogan has topped seventy yards or scored in five of the last six. He gets a B as well. They run at the two
best corners. Cooks and Hogan run at the two best corners the Chargers have in Casey Hayward and Trevor Williams. Though Danny Amondola practicing through a knee injury. I'm giving him a CE because he gets the easiest draw against slot corner Desmond King. Chargers defense is top ten and yards allowed to wide receivers, but have allowed the third most touchdowns to the wide receiver position nine and seven games,
so there's gonna be some touchdowns had by the wide receivers. Gronk, I gotta be the tight end is never scored a touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers. Never, never, There you go, So there we go. They did hold told Travis Kelsey to one catch for one yard earlier this year, but zach Ertz ding them for five catches in eighty one yards. I think it's a little bit more of the Travis or zach Ertz games. Now. This is the only this is the only B grade I've given Gronk all year. Yeah,
I think so. So then we can flip on over to the Charger side. Melvin Gordon. I have an a Gordon still has the questionable tag next to his name, but he practiced in full on Friday, which leaves back up Austin Ekeler on your bench despite him being a sneaky handcuff grab grab five seven years. This season, yeah, Gordon's averaging twenty point six touches per game and the Pats are allowing a jaw dropping four point eight yards per carry this season. I talked about Philip Rivers, he was,
might take a chance to me quarterback. I talked about Tyrrell Williams, he was, might take a chance to me wide receiver. Keenan Allen getting an a in this. Uh, don't have to say too much because the Patriots are so bad against wide receivers. I'll say this though, I think Malcolm Butler is just gonna fall shadow him. Okay, and Stephan Gilmour may again may miss another game, and
so I think there's an opportunity. I think there's an opportunity for Keenan Allen to have a a worse than expected game and for the other receivers to you all right, he hasn't scored since Week one, nine targets in six or six or seven of his games this season, so the quantity is there. Travis Benjamin I got on the bench. It's truly scored twice last week. One was a punt return, the other was his loan target in the game. So I'm not following that. But Hunter Henry, I have a
be on Henry's top. Seventy yards are scored in four straight weeks, and the Pats are bottom ten in both catches and yards allowed to the tight end position this year. Let's get some calls. Yeah, we should. Um. If it turns out Stephane Gilmour can't go, Johnson Batamosi will be you're starting. Johnson BATAMOSEI is actually played really well for the Patriots this year. If you check the metrics on it, he's he's probably been their best corner. I just like
to say it's fun to Johnson Batamosi. Yeah, read in Michigan. Hello, Hey, how's it going good? Thank you? We love read in Michigan. It's been a while. Yeah, I've been laid up for a while anyway. My question is in a full point PPR Hogan or Smallwood in my spot. I I like small Wood. I really like Yeah, I really like small Wood. This week, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets five or six catches to go along with the rushing to receive yards. Were all, we're all over, We're all over Smallwood. Hey,
would you drop Martevius Bryant to pick up the Shawn Jackson? Oh? Yes, ye, you could just stop at the first half of that. Would you drop Martevis Bryant? Correct? Yes, you know there's somebody else available in your league that you'd rather have. All right, can you just leave me on hold and I can hang up at lightning? You round? Sure this works? Uh? If Reid is laid up isn't it easier if he's been laid up? Isn't it easier to call in? I
think so? Ben, Hello, if his fingers don't work very well? Now? Is this the Ben in Portland who often calls? Is this the Ben in Portland who often calls in? No, I'm sorry, this is Milwaukee. Oh, Hi Ben, Milwaukee. Should we take this call? Yes? I'll be quick actually, because pretty much everything else is already I can't do anything else with the bye week, so I'm saying really good For whatever reason I picked about ex mrs week and uh that was in free agency. Um, and really the
only question is Hunter Henry. I gave him the PPR as the full point. Do you play him or Kyle Rudolph. I'm kind of already have Henry and and I didn't hear what you guys said about Yeah, I've got him ranked number two and number four, so I like both of them a lot. Which one did you have I have? I have Henry actually two spots higher. I have Henry two as well. Yeah, so we're all on Henry. Thanks Ben, Bye, bye, thank you, it's working one more e Hello, Hi, good morning, guys,
you do it good. Thank you. With all the letters that we have thrown out today, a's, b's, and c's, we have not yet thrown out an your first even I throw out a D two. Yeah, there we go. Awesome. Hey guys, I'm gonna make this real quick if I can get a couple of our questions up. I have de Shaun Watson and Jameis Winston uh and looking towards uh setups, looking uh looking forward to it. Who should
I start? Being that Watton has to play San Francisco, Jacksonville, and pitt and then Winston has some play Detroit, Atlanta and Carolina. I'm looking to trade one of those two, but with Winston's shoulder kind of scares me to trade either one of them. I don't. I don't. I wouldn't trade either one. Play the matchups in your playoffs with those two now, then wait till after this weekend, see
if Watson truly is matchup proof. Okay, And the only reason why is that I'm actually rolling with Alvin Kamara and I think uh Lean's Dark Wall and Johnson Stewart, and I wanted to kind of get rid of John Stewart, but I got Devin Tovin Coleman. So that's the only reason why I wanted to trade one of those guys. Yeah, well we all we all think you should stand Pat. Let's you get a really significant deal. Uh, we need to We need to take our break for the top
of the hour. When we come back. Five hot questions, see if you can play a lot, see if you can go five and oh with our panel of experts when we return. You're distinct of Fantasy Football Weekly on the Fan. Welcome back to the show. Oh you just started me talking about our decade long sponsored grain Belt Premium, the official beer Fantasy Football at a reminder to play the crush Charts challenge at grain belt dot Com. Last week's winner, Joel, I love it when you have to
try to figure. I gotta face all these guys at Manny's in a couple of months, so I gotta I gotta give it a best effort. Okay Schlewitz laywitzzwz. Joe Slaywitz is our week seven winner. Many thanks as always to our friends at the Brewery, Shaan, Ryan, Ted and Jody Marty for all their all their support for the show, which is fantastic and by the way, so is Grainbell Premium. It was so fun to end that show from the
Brewery this year. That was Oh yeah, that was a lot of fun and you got to meet Ted and Jody. Great people. Hot question number one, Carson Palmer's gone on i R effectively ending his season. Can we drop all the Cardinals receivers. No. I think Fitzgerald is still gonna be flexible. He's still gonna get the volume. Although with stan In he's only top fifty yards once, so it's not looking good. But I think he's at least still flex of Okay, yeah, I'm kind of on the same thing.
I think you can drop everybody, but Larry Fitzgerald, um blame Gabbert might be slightly better than Drew Stanton and might get a chance at some point along the way, So there's the little hope there. I think he's still a wide receiver three or flex in most leagues, but I can't imagine he has any value on the trade market right now. But he's one of those guys that Church might say right here, that is a sabotage drop in your league, and he's a guy that would be
picked up and held on roster. So if you have a strong wide receiver corps, you could go with the sabotage drop of Larry Fitzgerald. Of that when I wrote the question before, before I knew the answer, you know, which is mostly how I worked this is I try to find questions that I'm honestly not sure about, and I don't know. I thought the answer was going to
be sabotage, drop Larry and drop everybody else. But then I went through the schedule and I thought about, really, what, I are there gonna be any scenarios left from starting Fitzgerald, and there's going to be probably another five times when he's gonna get a C grade the rest of the way. So I'm like, I can't quite drop Larry Fitzgerald. Hot Question number two, what's the appropriate level of panic for those fantasy owners holding Green Bay receivers? Mild moderate internal
distress or a fistfull of prozac level of panic. I think they're so talented that I'm just moderately worried, but not not too much right now. Some moderate internal distress I related more like to to lane in bed, and you hear some noises, and let's give it a week or two to check it out. See if you see, if you know some mouse droppings. Maybe it was maybe it was the wind. Maybe it is some mice in the walls. But I'm not I'm not too worried yet.
I need to see a little bit more of Honey before let's let's give it a week or two to see if there's mice. No, I'm talking. I'm talking about let's see a week or two more of Huntley before we get really scared. Okay, let's R E L A X. All right, So you're taking mile, I said in internal distress, but it's moderate intestinal distresses. Moderate people remember our old bit on Fantasy football almost daily. I went with a cute panic panic. Yes. Um, the completion percentage for Hunley
is just awful. He's thrown for one touchdown so far, four picks and about seven quarters of work. Jordi had only four targets last week, Adams had only five. They combined for three catches and twenty five yards against the Saints at home. It's possible that he's just really this bad, and they're going to rely on Aaron Jones and the defense to try to Chicago Bears a few wins until
Aaron Rodgers gets back. So I'm super panicked about the Green Bay wide receivers, you should be The appropriate level of panic is the prozac level. There's just no coding how bad Brett Hunley looked last week. I'd I'd like to I'd like to say that there was and there's he he will get better, but he needs to get
a lot better. I mean right now. You always were in the past where it will just start your pack or receivers, you don't care even about the matchups are now we got a drill down on matchups, we got a drill down on opponents, and the schedules bad they got by this week. They get a neutral matchup with Detroit next week. And by the way, Cobb is probably gonna be on the bench, Davante Adams maybe on the bench next week because he's gonna get the sleigh ride
next week in Detroit, So that's a worry. Then after that, deeply negative matchups coming Chicago, Baltimore, Pittsburgh. That is the number fourteen, number five, and the number one wide receiver defenses by yards allowed. In fact, there's only one particularly positive matchup on the schedule for these receivers, and that's Week thirteen against Nampa. So your level of distress should be high hot. Question number three. Can fantasy owners just
drop j Gi Matt? Uh No, they can't because he already played this week and he's locked in your lineup or on your bench, or well here's the time, I'm Monday. Um, he's averaging twenty five rushing yards or rushing attempts per game prior to heading into that Thursday night or last week where they lost forty to nothing and game flow just went away from j j I. So I'm throwing that one out the window. The touches will maintain. The Dolphins are really missing that bye week that they sorely needed,
which would have been next week for them. Uh Gi, you still got the knee and elbow injuries that he's working through. I'm not dropping him, but he's probably going to be a flex or a bench for me the rest of the way. All right, Scott, pretty much everything Matt said I agree with. He gets too much volume to drop. Plus he does look good on a lot of runs. Still, it's just that line is giving him no room to breathe. I'm not dropping him yet. I'm
I'm gonna flex him a lot probably. Yeah. The temptation to drop him as high and I understand that, but he's still starting running back in the NFL with the fourth most carries in the NFL, and if the offensive line can give him anything to work with, j J I can still be good. Devanny's hot question Number four going forward is Alex Collins in RB one, in RB two flex or bench Scott. I'm gonna go with r
B two. His schedule isn't great. He only has to two defenses that he'll play that our bottom half of the league, otherwise their top half defenses all the way through the rest of the season. But he's gonna start gaining a lot more volume. Mean, his five plus yards per carry is really really good. And then I think he showed last week that he can handle the load. I don't feel that way at all. Um. I like that The yards per carry have certainly been there so
far this year. The problem is the rushing attempts have not been consistent. And if you believe that a Joe Flacco is a good quarterback, be Joe Flacco is a healthy quarterback or see they can win games forty two nothing. I don't think it favors the running game for the Ravens. I think he's probably a flex player the rest of the way, and he's gonna teeter between flex and bench
if they can find a good matchup. He is a flex player the rest of the way for the reasons that Matt just elusive hot question number five after this week's by is Sterling Shepherd. A wide receiver one, a wide receiver to a flex or a bench. Matt. I went into this one pretty negative, but once I dug in uh, I figured out that despite how bad the Giants have been, Eli Manning is still twelfth in the NFL and passing yards and thirteen in the NFL and
passing touchdowns. Then there's Shepherd and Evan Ingram as the only people he can really throw the ball to, and that's about it. People forget that he also put up eight touchdowns last year and had over a hundred targets, and he was significantly downgraded in drafts this year because the addition of Brandon Marshall. Well, Brandon Marshall's gone, and so is Odell Beckham. So I think he's at least worthy of a wide receiver too in most twelve team weeks.
All right, I'm going a little more than that, but I can see your point. I'm going with flex just because he's gonna get so much volume for the rest of the year. Every matchup he faces is a top thirteen past defense except for two, and the two of those two San Francisco and Arizona. He might get Patrick Peterson if he's the number one wide receiver when they play Arizona. I hate the man, I hate the schedule, but he a lot of passes. He's gonna get a lot of volume. I'm giving him a nice flex play.
He has a wide receiver to Sterling Shepherd is and the It's funny because I looked at the schedule and found it to be mostly favorable, including three straight startable opportunities in the next four weeks. Rams Niners Chiefs. He's got by this week, then rams Niners Chiefs. Those are the number seventeen, twenty four, and twenty eight ranked defenses by wide receiver yards allowed. So I saw the schedules
are positive. Well, you touched him. That I think really deserves more um time on is whether or not the Giants are gonna take Sterling Shepherd out of the slot and bump him outside. I think that they will, and that they should because us next year they need a replacement for Brandon Marshall on the outside opposite Odell Beckham. This is a great opportunity to get Sterling Shepard Reps
on the outside. He's their best receiver the slot. It's not like you can't be an effective receiver from the slot. Obviously you can be, but you can't. It's hard to be an elite number one receiver when you are playing
from the slot position. So I think they're gonna bump him outside, and to your point, that means he's going to draw guys like Josh Norman and Patrick Peterson, two players too, tough tough corners that are on the schedule, but those are the only two shutdown corners on the schedule. Those too. I bet they just move him around a lot that could happen as well, which would make sense, and try to find favorable matchups. So there we go. Hey, I went five for five. Nicely done. You're only one.
You're only one short of the all time record for five. Last two get the six for five. I'm I'm really looking forward to the extra credits. My matchups for him were based Don Sharp Warren Sharp, so like um, A couple of things I want to know before we move on to our our next set of matchups. Weather issues brewing on the East coast. The Jets game. Uh, it's all rain, by the way, and but potentially very heavy rain. You're gonna want to pay attention to this. How cold
will it be? Um? Not very cold? There's enough for No, don't no, not yet, save it, save it. It's coming. No. We almost had it here. We almost had conditions here yesterday. Uh. Jets game, potential of rain, Eagles game at home rain the uh oh. And the last one is the Washington Redskins game. Rain, So watch those. Even the Bills are gonna get light rain, but that shouldn't be as bad on the other side of New York. So that's those are ones you want to pay some attention to before
before kickoff. They the Redskins game is an evening, so that one's gonna be a little bit trickier. By and large, though, I don't let rain change my opinions on on things unless it's really really severe. Um. For the most part, I don't let that that stop me. But there there's a chance it is going to be pretty severe rain. I think we could talk more about the Redskins and
why don't we right to that. Right now, Redskins take on the Cowboys and Matt, I understand there could be rain, yes, but it's going to be well above thirty two wish degrees. So we're from there. There is that. Fortunately, it's my matchup. Now. You're sorry because you brought it up. I assumed it was yours. I was just trying to help you out. I appreciate that. Thank you. Well done. Redskins running game.
Chris Thompson has been a fantastic find and he's He's really Kirk Cousin's most reliable option in the entire passing game at all positions. He's now gone for one hundred total yards and or a touchdown in five of the last six games. Another favorable matchup this week against the Cowboys, who give up four and a half it's per carried. They've given up eight or more targets two running backs in four different games this year. So Chris Thompson keep
the good times of rolling baby. He also leads the Redskins in rushing and receiving, so that too, um and for that reason, Rob Kelly's on the bench. Soma p Ryan clearly on the bench as well. Kelly only had seven rushes last Monday, and that was a close game. If this one isn't close, to be potentially even worse. So I don't, I don't, I'm not. I'm not interested in Rob Kelly at this stage. Let's go to the
passing game. Kirk Cousins gets to be Dallas currently ranks nineteenth against the past and passing touchdowns allowed, and Cousins smoked the Cowboys in the two games last year. Is average game against the Cowboys last year three hundred seventy five yards and two and a half touchdowns. Cousins has thrown multiple touchdowns and three straight games. And the benching of Terrell Prior is an addition by subtraction, he's on the bench as well. What the heck happened? By the way?
Drop her ble outright, just dropped, just dropped Terrell. There's there's a touch of sabotage drop in that one, just a little bit. Jamison Crowder is the guy that earlier in the year I said is gonna bounce around rosters and every team's gonna have him once and try him. He's on the bench here. He's working out of the slot that matches him up against solid cornerback Orlando Scandrick Crowder hasn't found the end zone this year, hasn't topped
sixty receiving yards all year. And the funny thing is last year he was good. He was startable in spots. He was maybe the best receiver at times. Last year. Nothing out of Crowder this year. He's got to be on the bench. Unfortunately, Josh Dockson was Scott Fish's take a chance on the wide receiver. He's got a C
grade for me. Jordan Reid's got to see he broke out last week and now he goes up against the Cowboys defense that he lit up for ten catches, ninety five yards and two scores of Week twelve in Week twelve of last season. But they've been really good against tight ends this year, averaging just four catches per game. They've only given up one tight end touchdown. And Jordan Reid was awful in every game besides the one last week. So I don't trust him enough to move him ahead
of a C grade. Let's go to the Dallas side. Ezekiel Elliott obvious A grade. He's my number two ranked running back overall this year. Even though Washington is a good run defense, He's still obviously somebody you're gonna start in all situations. In the passing game, Dak Prescott's quietly having an elite fantasy year with multiple passing touchdowns in every game since the opener. The Redskins secondary has slumped without Josh Norman, but it looks like he will return. Here.
Washington had fallen to twentieth against the past thirty feet against quarterback rushing, and here's Prescott averaging twenty two rushing yards per game against Washington last year. He scored a touchdown on the ground in both games against Washington last year. So Dak Prescott a grade. Des Bryant remains in a grade. Even with Josh Norman coming back, he probably is not
playing it close to full strength here. Brian has found ways to put up solid fantasy numbers despite great coverage from a lot of good corner backs, including Patrick Peterson got a touchdown of that game, and so there's a lot of good operat plus the Josh Norman does Bryant cute trash talk commercials. I never seen it. I never seen need to see that. Gross. He has scored in four the past five games last year against Norman, does
put up. These are combined put up a hundred two yards and seventy two yards in the two games, but did not score. I've still got an a grade on des Bryant, b great on Jason Witten. The Redskins rank dead last in receiving yards to opposing tight ends eight seven per game. Meanwhile, wins fourth among tight ends and receptions and touchdowns. And if she have no problem getting open against a defense that's been particularly hard hit against elite tight ends. Cole beasily is on the slot. It
runs from the slot. He's on the bench against Kendall Fuller, a good slot corner. Let's take a break when we come back. Final set of matchups. We've got lightning round looming, premature speculation, plenty more to get to when we return to Fantasy Football Weekly on the Fan. You're distinctive Fantasy Football Weekly on the Fan. Welcome back Fantasy Football Weekly on the Fan. We've got a handful of matchups to get through here and then we'll get to premature speculation.
Lightning round. We begin with the Texans going to the Seahawks. The highest scoring quarterback in many fantasy leagues has been to Shawn Watson, and now Scott he travels to Seattle for a brutal matchup. What do you think does he keep the hot street going or does he cool off here? It's tough to tell. He did tear up New England, Kansas City, Tennessee, and Cleveland, who were all bottomed defense
at the time. But Seattle is only allowing just over two yards to quarterbacks and five touchdowns on the season. That's it. That's unreal. Watson, however, second NFL touchdown passes, but he leads in points per game or you know, rushing yards per game, so that's that might be where he can make up some of the ground. I'll mention this, Seattle is not giving up a quarterback rushing touchdown in fourteen games. I thought you're gonna say, like fourteen years.
That Actually when I when I when I did the stat I thought it was gonna be like I looked it up and it was fourteen. But it's still a lot. I'm a big Watson fans. I'm giving him a partly biased B grade to think that he can rise a little bit above the matchup, but be grade for him, be great for Hopkins. He's probably gonna get Sherman hopefully they move him around a little bit. But literally, did he get on the plane today? Yeah? Or any of
the Texans even gonna bother playing? Yeah, exactly, that's the next question. Well, if he does show up and the Texans do play, it doesn't really matter where he lines up. That defense it's really solid. They've only allowed three touchdowns to wide receivers this year, but that eleven targets per game. He gets fed so many. How many people are gonna show up to the Seattle game wearing like the orange jumpsuit? Wouldn't? Yeah, man could be sorry, continue grade Hopkins will fuller C grade.
I I don't even like it, but I can't deny that it keeps scoring. How is he doing it? Five touchdowns on just fourteen targets. That's not sustainable, It's not at all. But I guess I'm gonna ride that horse until she bucks me, and I'm I'm gonna throw him in there with a C grade just in case he keeps scoring. Watson seems to like him there, So now you're gonna ride this horse until it poops in a wall. No, No,
that's that's only for the mice man. You're not going to ride a mouse either right, it sounds like a really weird country song. It does a mouse, maybe a lot of mouse, mice in the shape of craps. Thank you, thank you, Griffin giving it at tight end, giving him a C grade. Uhas are allowing him about sixty yards per game in the tight end, which is not that good. And Griffin's getting six targets a game over the last four. There's a matchup opportunity there. I don't love it, but
I'm giving him a C grade. For Lamar Miller, uh, Seattle's top five against the run allowed the fewest receptions to running backs. But Lamar Miller has over eight yards and three straight games and he's he's touching the ball fifteen times every single game. I'm giving him a C grade just on just on the opportunity of volume there. I'm benching Foreman. He's been too and consistent with his touches.
Over on the Seahawks side, I'm giving Wilson in a grade like a don't say you're gonna get in trouble. I almost said noe A grade. Uh it's a shaky one. Though. The Texans were lit up by Tom Brady and Alex Smith, and they held down Bordles, Dalton, Hogan and that Mariotta Castle Combo. So I think Wilson's closer to the other two, So I like him, giving him an A grade here. Baldwin, Uh, favorable match up against Kream accs in, but just five
wide receivers have over sixty yards against the Texans. That's probably Baldwin. He's probably the only one that's gonna do that, averaging eight and a half targets per game. The Texans secondary ravaged by injury before the bye week, now presumably coming out of it, I think they're much much better shape. Yeah, that and for that reason, I'm benching Richardson and Lockett two inconsistent with their targets. Uh. Jimmy Graham, I'm giving him a B grade. Kelsey and Gronk tore up the Texans. Uh,
Jimmy Graham scored in two straight. He's getting eight targets per game. You know, of the he's dropping like half of them, it feels like at this point. But he's gonna get a lot of a lot of opportunity to make production here. Rawl's Lacey process mckiss. I'm I'm benching them all. Texans Top five against the run. No running back with under twenty five carries his top sixty yards. Nobody's getting twenty five carries for that backfield and I agree.
I agree. Let's go to our next matchup, Steelers taking on the Lions. Lions past defense can be awfully good. Ben roethlis time spen Roethlisberger, of course, always a shaky start on the road. What do you think about this matchup for the passing game? Well, Big Ben happens to like Ford Field because it's the site of his victory twelve years ago. Story. Yes, Uh, he's not. I'm not
afraid of Detroit's defense. Though, three of the last four quarterbacks to face the lines of thrown for multiple touchdowns. The one that didn't was case Keenum. Uh so I have Ben Roethlisberger is a B grade in this game, easy, A grade to Antonio Brown and Levy on Bell. Don't have to talk much more about them, Juju Smith Schuster. I'm getting him a C grade to The Steelers will
be without Mark Tavis Bryant, who's on the scout team. Now, I didn't know NFL teams had Scott teams, and I don't think they do up just for him scout team and then man the taxi squad. Maybe Vance McDonald's also out of this game, so Juju gets a little bit of a bump. He's scored in three of his last six games. He will not draw the sleigh ride. He's Darius Slay is expected to go on Antonio Brownell game because Vance McDonald's out. Some might think Jesse James, but
he's still on the bench. He hasn't topped fifty yards this season and he's caught zero point zero balls in the last two weeks, so he's on the bench. Over to the Detroit side, a Mere Abdullah gets a B grade. Joe Mixon was averaging almost seven yards per carry against the Steelers in the first half last week. Yeah, until then they didn't hand in the ball in the second half.
I don't know why. Kareem Hunt, Leo for Nette, Jordan Howard, and the Alex Collins buck Allen Combo each topped one hundred total yards against the Steelers this season, So I think a Mere Dula is a solid B. Matthew Stafford's getting a C grade, but he's closer to a bench grade. For me. No quarterback has topped two hundred forty six yards against the Steelers this season. In fact, they've had more quarterbacks throw for less than two hundred yards than
more than two hundred yards. It's four to three right now, so they've been very good against the pass. Plus, Golden Tate has a sprained a C joint and he was limited in practice all week, and I think I'm gonna put him on the bench just because this is a Sunday night game. Yeah, you don't know risk it. You don't know completely if he's going to go. If you're absolutely desperate to have Golden Tate in your lineup, I think you think you have to have Juju Smith Schuster
as your backup. Maybe, but he's been rostered everywhere now. Marvin Jones or Benny Fowler, Churches Guy Ben That those are the three guys that I think you have to have on the bench if you're planning on putting Tate in your lineup. For now, Marvin Jones is on the bench to Kenny Golladay is actually hurt as he had a setback. I don't think he's gonna go. Um he's been ruled out and uh Eric Ebron has failed the top ten yards in four of six can we just stop,
We just never bring up his name on the show again. Done? All right, good, thank you. When premature speculation, we'll give you guys to pick up one week before the rest of your league Lightning Round in our final match up the Monday Night or Kansas City taking on Denver. Fit is Fantasy Football Weekly presented man Final Thing that Fantasy Football Weekly. Paul Charge and Matt Harrison Scott fished with you. If you haven't already checked out fan Ball, we encourage

Yeah, that's always fun too. Chiefs take on the well, let's do premature speculation. We've done so many. Yeah,
let's premature speculation again. These are guys that we encourage you to pick up now that we think are gonna be hot waiver wire targets next week, and you'll already have him on your team. Scott, I'm going with D. D. Westbrook, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver. He had a couple hundred yard games in the preseason. Uh, he's a big play threat. Had three catches for over thirty yards in the preseason.
He's been on I R. He comes back after the bye. Uh. No one for Jacksonville is really stepping up and they're hurt a lot. So I don't think it's a good offense for passing very much. But you know it's it's a nice dart throw there. That is a dart throw, all right. That was very tepid that really he didn't well portals is still his quarters. Yeah, I have a guy who's not exciting as well. But I am excited about an aspect of his matchup next week. It's Tyler Higbee.
If you're in need of a tight end next week, alright, because next week there's a handful of really good tight ends on by Gronk Hunter, Henry and Antonio Gates, Kyle Rudolph, and if you're in a deep league, David and Joku. They're all on by next week. Tyler Higgbee gets the Giants next week, and the Giants fable defense has given up a touchdown to a tight end eight times in seven games this season. So avoid the rush and pick up the take a chance on me end week, Tyler,
and I'm gonna take full credit next week, alright. My premature speculation is first round rookie receiver Corey Davis for Tennessee, who has missed every game since Week one. Uh and in that game targeted ten times in that game, not nine times, nine times, principal, principle, not get that skinner, principal, look it up for me. All year, no other Titans receiver has been targeted more than the ten times that
Corey Davis got in Week one. He's been languishing with his hamstring injury, but will resume practicing next week, and ESPN is reporting that he will play next week against Baltimore. So you need to pick him up this week. Ed Rooney, Ed Rooney Principal, Ed Rooney, Absolutely, that is exactly what it is. And is the guy the actor who played out of jail jail. I think he's still in jail.
The Titans have gotten almost nothing from their receivers. They need Corey Davis and especially is big play pop So Corey Davis premature speculation a great Ed Rooney quote. Yes, please. I did not achieve this position in life by having some snot nosed punk leave my cheese out in the wind. Leave my cheese out in the wind. What Let's go to Chiefs Broncos. This is at Broncos. Kareem Hunt scoreless streak, by the way, is four games for Kareem Hunt. Drop
a hell of its advantageding your own team. It will not get any easier against the Broncos, who have yet to allow a running back rushing touchdown this year. Now they have given up two receiving scores, and Hunt obviously is a very capable pass catcher. Uh He's managed at least three receptions and six of his seven games to this point. B grade for Kareem Hunt. Let's go to the passing game. Alex Smith has never posted a three hundred yard game against Denver home or away. He's also
his three straight one touchdown games against Denver. Denver secondary has been a little more touchdown friendly this year. They've given up multiple scoring strikes in four or six games, but no quarterbacks top two fifty yards against them. They're the sixth best in yardage allowed and third best in quarterback rushing yards allowed. So I see a middling performance here about for Alex Smith in the two hundred twenty
five yard one and a half touchdown range. And that's similar what he did against Pittsburgh two weeks ago where he had two six and one. Yeah, very similar probably thank you yes, against another very good past defense. Uh. That means Tyreek Hill also a C grade. He did score both of last season's games with the Broncos, although one of them was a rushing touchdown. Um, you're gonna have the banking and finding the end zone for fantasy relevance.
Denver has given up six wide receiver touchdowns, but no whiteout is topped even sixty five yards against Denver all year they ranked second best and wide receiver yardage allowed, so it's a tough matchup for Tyreek Hill. Travis Kelsey though a grade here. It's so hard to beat Denver along the perimeter, along the edges, with the great corners, so a lot of teams will used the tight end
for that. Tight ends are getting a six catches seventy six yards per game against the Broncos since the season opener, and that's almost exactly what Kelsey averages. He's six and seventies, so we can pretty much count on that better. Better still, Kelsey obliterated the Broncos last just torched them nineteen catches in the two games, both of them one hundred yard performances against Denver last year. Denver is gonna watch the tape and they're gonna want to take it away, but
it doesn't mean that they can. A grade Travis Kelsey. Let's go to the Denver side. We'll start with the running game. I've just got a C grade on C. J. Anderson, who's deeply disappointed me the last two weeks, squandering two primo opportunities to hammer the Giants and the Chargers struggling run defenses. You only got nineteen carries in those two games, so I want to give him a stronger recommendation. Here he goes up against the Chiefs run defense that's giving
a four point seven yards per carry. But these are the same quality of opportunities he's had the last two weeks. Ah, I'll have to get his yardage on the ground because the Chiefs of Stemy deposing runners through the air, giving up just twenty five scoreless yards per game to running back. So Cjmerson just to see grade here, let's go to the let's go to the passing game. Trevor Simeon takes his four games slide into arrowhead. No wait, this is a This is not a narrowhood. This is in uh.
This is in Denver. Sorry, um seeming through for three hundred sixty eight yards and three touchdowns in UH in this matchup last year in Denver, Kansas Snow He didn't. Uh, yeah he did. Kansas City is allowed eleven touchdowns versus one pick through the air, and it's past four outing. They're giving up the third most passing yards and six months passing scores overall. C grade for Simeon. It's a nice matchup, but I don't trust him to exploit it.
D Marius Thomas, though, does get an A grade that one is an arrowhead, Church is an arrowhead, thank you very much. So how did I end up with this in Broncos that Broncos. I don't know. Sorry, I will blame you. Actually, I think it was because I think very well you think backwards in our in our matchup list, I think it is on you. Kansas City's twenty eight and wide receiver yardage allowed. They've given up nearly three
scores per game to the position. Thomas obviously is a very good receiver, but you don't even have to be very good to score in the Chiefs this year. Danny Amondola, Travis Benjamin will Fuller, Terrell Prior scored so all big games there for those guys I like to marry as Thomas and Bennie Fowler was my take a chance on the wide receiver, and I think he is a really nice, sneaky start. It's time for lightning round, my favorite lightning round of the year. It is our favorite lightning round
of the year, the spookiest one great answer like vampires. No, you know how this works? It is one question and one question only between two players, and only two players, so you know the ground rules. Let's go. Peter, you are first? Hello? Hi? Uh DeAndre Hopkins or Brandon and Cook Hopkins or Cooks. Wow, I think I'm going with I'm going with Cooks. I like his match a little bit better. Okay, John your next? Yeah? Or James White? Non video? You can't start, No, you can't. Brutal, brutal match.
Probably drop. It's almost that bad, it really is. Matt your next, Matt whom Matt, your cell phone's cutting out. I'm sorry, man, we can't hear you. Head. You're next? Yeah. I'm wondering about Breeze or Cousins. I got Drew Breese up at number two or no, sorry, number four at the quarterback position. It's a home game for Breeze. Over the last three years, his average home game three hundred thirty three yards and two and a half touchdowns. So
we're gonna take Breeze. Fill your next, guys, think Fuller or Fowler. Wow. I don't like Fuller's matchup, and he's he's not actually getting that many targets per game. I think I'm gonna go to take a chance on me. Fowler in this name Fowler. How about that? That's bold Kent You're next, Yeah, PPR, League Gain Jr. Or Smallwood? Who is again? Or Smallwood? You bet you put the junior and just so you knew it wasn't Ted Kain's father, that's true. Yeah, I'm gonna go Smallwood, all right? Uh? Dan,
you are next on the fan? Hello halfpoint gprula or Doug Martin. Thank you. Yeah, I'm gonna take Abdulla in the easier matchup. The problem broadly with Doug Martin this year has been a defense is so bad they can't run the ball in the second half of games. And I don't know if that changesn't despite more carries, his rushing yards are going down each week, which is troubling as well. John, You're next, bether or Simeon Bethard. I think your time about c J Bethard or Trevor Simeon. Yeah,
probably Simeon against Kansas City. I think Ryan You're next, non PPR. James White towards Gat non PPR. Yeah, that's that. I think it's helplessly when it's non PPR, he's got the better chance of the touchdowntown and so to Phil. Your next Cars Watson or car uh Cars playing Buffalo. Yeah, I've actually got him. I've got him right, very similarly tenth and twelve, but I've got Car a little bit higher. The Bill's pass defense will just run through by Jameis
Winston and E. J. Gaines. Their cornerback is gonna be out for this game. Spin. It says Spin as your name, but maybe that's not right. I don't know, Hello, Spin, how are you doing standard Fleck, Sponge or Hogan. I'm gonna go with Hogan. I think Funchess has the better matchup, but I can't trust him. Yeah, good, Mark, you're on the fan Casey's defense against Denver or Newer New Orleans against Chicagoan. I'm going to take Kansas City's defense at
home against Trevor Simeon. Arthur your next, yeah, Big or Smith. See, I'm nervous about Diggs, you know, I you know, there's so many scenarios where this thing could go ugly for Diggs, including, by the way, potentially very good coverage from McCarty, but also the reinjury factor for a groin is always significant. The fact they have a bye week looming, the Vikings could get ahead against the Windlass Browns and then rest Diggs. I'm worried. There's a lot of scenarios where this thing
could go bad, badly for days. Luckily, you'll know if he's active very early, very early. We'll know if he's active sometime around seven am. Barry, You're next, or yeah, this is what happens when six teams are on by I'm probably gonna go with Simeon on this one. It's it's really I'd go with McCown and in my mind, I'd at least take the guy who's playing well. Elkins matchup is better and he's playing good, So I don't think the best stuff that's better. LaVey, You're next, Ted
Gain are the lifted as questionable? Emmanuel Sanders. I don't think Sanders is Bennit's that pretty easy answer that to be, really, because especially since the Monday night game, you gotta go a game unless you're packing up Fowler. Yeah, that ye back, and I could do that if you wanted to. But I think I just start in and simplify. Mike your next, Derek Carr or Jameis Winston. Uh, I got him ranked tenth and eleven, but I've got car one spot higher.
We're gonna go with him. Kevin, You're next, Uh, Jenks or GPS right? Wow? Uh? I think I'm gonna leave Juju Smith against Detroit's I think he's got a better cornerback matchup as well. Let me mention this r gonna be just to know all my player rankings and the full explanations available at fanball and so you and see what went into the grading, and then you can decide yourself you agree or don't agree with how we've got our guys rank So we encourage you to check that
out and it's totally free at fanball dot com. Brian, You're next? What's that Diggs or Schuster? Smith? Smith? Schuster's always said, I think that's what we said. I forget it out, but I think it might be Matt. Much like Charge said, I think we're pretty nervous about Diggs, and I think Juju SMI Juju in this matchup. Tom your next, Matt Ryan or Alex Smith? Um, Matt Ryan. I don't love the Alex Smith matchup in uh AT against Denver in Arrowhead, Jeff, you're next, Watson or Winston.
I think I will lead Winston on that one. I love Watson of that matchup in Seattle's tough. Agreed, Chris, you're next, Hey, guys, show Carson Wentz, Uell. It's got to be Carson Wentz. The matchup is good, he's at home, he's been stellar. You can't you can't bench him at this point. He's my number one. He's my number one ranked quarterback for this week as Carson Wentz. And we're not even it's not even chasing the last three weeks of awesome box scores. And once it is put up,
it's the forty niners. Let's see. Yeah, how did you? How did I lock a call? Hang on here, I don't normally lock my calls. It's weird. Fanball dot com slash news. By the way, we'll get you very very close to the chart rankings and all of the great articles at fan ball. Yeah, there's a ton of great free content at fanball, not just my rankings. Jeremy, you're next. Thanks for locking me. I got a Dan Lewis or Austinian Jenkins in a PPR league, I'm gonna go Dion Lewis.
I'm I I don't know why. I just don't trust Austin Seferian Jenkins. I just don't. I don't. I'm Dean Lewis and PPR league. Dan Lewis isn't catching me passes anymore, so I would go I'd go Severian Jens That's just me right, You're next, Okay, full Point PPR Buller or Curse. Uh. We don't like Fuller's matchup at all, so I think I'm and I don't like the volume, so I'm gonna go curse here. It's feels weird to say it, but
I think I'm gonna go curse. Dave You're next. Yeah, Hi, I gotta drop a running back and make room for a wider sever for next week? Would you drop Tarik Cohen or I did Rollo? I think I dropped Crowl both. I mean I dropped them both honestly, but kroll probably are those two. Yeah. If you need a tight end next week, pick up Tyler Higbee. Jason you're next. Yeah. Not only is your phone breaking up, but I think I heard the phrase two out of three and we
don't do that here. Uh. Bill, you're on the fan? Yeah, looking for a quarterback? I have River and Carson Wentz my number one quarterback of the week, and I like I love revers and number five, but you can't top Wents his matchup this week. Bryan, you're on the fan. They I got knead or big non PPR. Same same thing we've said about Dig's I think going to be healthy being the same category. I think he's finally going
to play this week though he's been practicing. He played two weeks ago, played twenty two snaps two weeks ago. So I'm pretty nervous about the injury and the fact that they could get really, really up in this game and just put Sneat on the bench too. So I'm nervous about Sneet as well. We we highly chance any follower. I like Benny followers better than it is a tough Chicago defense. D your next hire or Car Breeze or car I got Breeze. He's at home, he's against Chicago.
I'm not thinking about that too much. All right, Peter, you're on the fan, Hey, guys, Tyrod Taylor later in the quarterback mich Te Tyrod Taylor against arguably the worst past defense in the NFL will be the selection, will make their case. Keenum for whatever he's you know, he's winning games of vikings, but zero or one touchdown passing every game but one. Chris, you're next. I got a three quarterback? My god, Dak Cracot wrote the Wilkin or
one quarterback but one we started. I'm starting Dak Prescott's uh, he's just the most consistent. He snuck a third guy in there. Yeah, that's why I went like that, Bill You're next. Yeah, non PPR, crab Tree or Hogan. I'm gonna go Crabtree, Casey you're next, deeven front or games one of PPR. I'd go James White, juicy matchup. We'll go for the volume play Aco. Hey there, PPR Hogan or Funchs Hogan. Didn't we do a Hogan that one? I think it was the first one we book ended
it with a Hogan Funcius. Our final call of the day is Jason, Hello, Hey, I got a non PPR black Sam Abdullah or Mohammed definitely a Mirabdulah in my mind, like that a lot better. This is the one. This is the only matchup I felt pretty good about Ada Abdullah in all the year. Yeah, and actually he's running great. You know you see him runs actually running the ball really really well. The problem is when they want to throw.
They don't throw to him. They throw it a theoretic when they have a touch on opportunity, they don't give him the ball inside five. So that's your continual problem. The theoretically throw it to a Meerbdulan. I like that. I like that. Uh all right, thank you very much for listening everybody. If you miss any part of the show, check out the podcast cafan Fan on Demand. Also really appreciate people to take the time to leave reviews, rankings for the show because we had to basically restart that
whole process this year with our new feed. Coming up next, it's the best of, best of, Bye Bye at Center Point Energy always says it's better to call eight one one now than nine one one later, So before I do any digging in my yard, I call eight one one to have utility.
