Yeah, welcome your host Friday from line five, God Rob say, Francis Franca stand ball ladies and gentlemen, your bfs and with that we will get to you inside of Studio thirty four. This is the BFFs. Here's Frank Staffle. I am Greg Sauceman. All right, what's hey. There's a lot going on right now. Trade deadline looming in the NFL, there's trades going down ready,
there's people being benched on their birthday. J E. T S. Just end the season. It's getting crazy out here. Greg. How are you doing? I'm doing well, man, I'm hanging in there. I I didn't get a chance, unfortunately, uh to watch the finale of Halloween Baking Championship. I actually he was going to ask you how it ended. I don't know. I was legitimately because our fantasy team was making a push to win last night. I wanted watching the whole game. Look at you watching football during the
football season. Yeah, proud, did you like what you saw? Uh? No, because he lost. It would have it would have been a lot better if we won. But a valiant comeback, Greg, I think we were down what forty five going into last night. We had James Conner and Juju, the closer had Chris Boswell shout out to the clothes. I mean he had some monster weeks all across the board of Dalvin Cookie and Michael Thomas got some big games. Darren Fells, how can I forget Darren Fells. The BFS come storming back,
but it wasn't enough, unfortunately. But for most people, if you needed if you needed Juju, or you needed James Connor to do something, you got it last night. So in my other league, I did actually need James Conner and Juju to get it done, and they did. Super Flexed league, I have two wins. Now join the club my only super flex to win. Let's go yeah. Last night Monday Night Football, the Steelers are now fourteen. Nothing's goed to all these points. Nancially wound up winning. Connor
and Juju both had big nights. Deante Johnson did as well. I'll get to him in just a second, but the big story coming out was as great as James Conner was. He as a bad minavy events. He has hurt on his last carry towards the end of the game. UM, it looks like he's an A C joint sprain. Mike Tomlinsons will be limited earlier this week, and then we'll see what do you think about James Connor's injury and his performance last night. I'll start off with the injury,
and this came from inside injuries. Earlier today, Steelers running back James Conner suffered an A C joint injury, as you mentioned, Greg, While it will be painful for the next few weeks, he should be able to play through it, so we'll we'll continue to monitor this situation. He has dealt with a lot of injuries already this year. UM, some knee stuff, some ankle stuff as well. He's got the shoulder now, but he has for the most part,
play through a lot of these injuries. That's why a lot of people are excited about picking up Jalen Samuel's right now, who Mike Tomlin said is going to be ready to go four week nine. So we'll talk about him in a little bit. But I thought that James Conner was phenomenal last night. Twenty three carries, a hundred and forty five yards six point three yards per carry, touchdown, added a few receptions as well. Had three catches only five yards, but in PPR he'll take every reception. You
can get. Twenty six total touches for James Conner in this game, the next closest and he's still with five. So I feel pretty good about James Conner being the work course for this team, assuming he is healthy. He was great last night. Yeah, James Connor was fantastic. Again. You had to see Um not taking for great of salt. Remember they didn't face that Dolphins defense as pitiful, So James Conner, a good offensive line in front of the Pittsburgh Steelers had a lot of room to run last night.
It won't always be so plentiful for him, Um, but clearly the guy Benny Snow was also hurt last night. Jaylen Samuel out there in waivers, is he your favorite waiver wire pick up this week? Probably at the running back position. I think it's close between him and Mark Walton. I put out the poll before the show, Greg, and surprisingly everybody is all over Jalen Samuel's as the top waiver wire add There are already sixty seven votes on the poll, Greg, and sixty four percent say Jalen Samuels
is the top waiver Wire add this week. I think that's with the assumption that you know, James Conner might be missing time. But based on everything we've read so far, it looks like James Conner is going to be good to go. But I think it's close between him and Mark Walton. I understand that Miami Dolphins are a terrible team, but Walton played a ton last night. Seven percent of the snaps, he had eleven carries. He had six targets
as well, so seventeen running back opportunities. I understand it's a bad team, bad offensive line, but you've got some good matchups coming up. He's gonna face the Jets a couple of times here, so I think it's close between Samuels and Walton, and then I also really really like Chris Connley at the wide receiver position, but we talk about that a little bit later. Again, all of these guys, specifically the last night, I certainly kid an eye on Mark Walton and Kylen Blaj just the you shaid as
you said, Mark Wonton. Some pers on the snaps last night, like Caim malaged to get involved in the wildcat inside the red zone at one point. The problem is this Nolvin's team is so bad and their offensive line is terrible, and they're gonna be behind every game. The upside for Mark Walton, it's just capped, Like I get it, Like you want a a flex play potentially in a bye week,
that's all Mark Walton is good for. So like, I can't even break the bank for a guy like Walton, even though he's a starter, because I think that upside
is just so so limited, that is fair. And Jalen Samuel's upside is higher assuming that James Conner would have miss time, but I don't know that we can really assume that right now, So I think it's it's the possibility that's kind of looming inside of people's minds right now, and undoubtedly there's more upside if you are the Steelers featured running back as opposed to being the Dolphins featured
running back. So we'll pay attention to that. But if it if it comes down to, you know, having to spend a big amount of your fat budget at this point in the season on Jalen Samuel's giving the information that we have, I don't know that there's that guy this week that you want to spend a ton of fab on. And thankfully we don't have a Tai Johnson situation either because that did not work out Greg. But up trade Carson, maybe we'll get to that. He's on
the list. I know he's on the list. Let's come all the guys um I think worth talking about as well. We'll hetting all that. Will also going to hit up the streaming quarterbacks. What about James What about Jujuice Smith Schuster from last night? It looked really good obviously Mason Ruff. Yeah, that first story was brutal. I mean just lofted it up there for Xavien Howard. Got lucky that Xavian Howard actually left the game, or else he might have had
more in receptions later on. But Juju comes through again. Really great matchup, nine targets, five receptions, a hundred and three yards in a touchdown. Is this your cell high opportunity for Juju Smith Schuster, I would absolutely think so, no question about it. They played at brutal Miami defense. Mason rut Up under threw a ton of passage, Judicmith Schuster had a couple of catches, great cashes in traffic. I'm absolutely using this opportunity, Schuster hide, Let's take a
break year. When we come back, we'll dive fully into the way of a wire. We'll see what we can find. We'll give you some prices to spend, and we'll hopefully make your teams better. That's the goal of today's program. It's the BFFs on the Fantasy Sports right here now, work. Get off the Grid, tie of you man a cbffs here on Sportscreen TV. Get on the Grid, Frank, you gotta get on the grid. Gotta get on the grida.
Get on the Grid reminds me of the guy from the movie. I forgot what movie it's from. I think I think you're gonna talk about like, uh, eight Crazy Nights. That's a technical foul. That's a I love that. It's a great movie, Crazy Nights. It's a really good movie. I always watched it around. Uh, once we get into December, I'm gonna I'm gonna watch that. You gotta get on the Grid. Yeah, it's a technical foul. Oh, Greg, We're how many people just left? Probably too many? Probably too many.
Let's pick it up some fantasy advice. It's a waiver wire Tuesday, Frank, let's break it down. We began at the running back position where I mentioned Jalen Samuel's earlier. If he's out there on the waiver wire, how much you spending because you're not gonna know anything else about James Conner than we do right now. If your waivers go through tonight, it is what it is, how much you're spending on Jail Samuels. It's gonna be higher if
I am maybe James Conner owner. Obviously, and as of now, Jalen Samuels only owning twenty one percent of yahoole so he is out there in a in a good majority. I'm thinking seven eight percent something like that. You know, again, I'm not breaking the bank. I don't think that we have a Ti Johnson situation this week, hopefully. I don't know if we should consider Ty Johnson. I don't know if we should consider Ty Johnson like the player that we spend up for or the player that we spend
up for and just get wrong every single week. But ultimately, I don't think that we have that player that we're spending a massive amount of our budget for. Jel Samuels. To me, he's seven eight percent if you really really need him, if you're James Connor owner, I could see
going ten percent, maybe eleven. But ultimately we saw before even before he got hurt, he had that one game on Moday Night Football where they started running the wildcat greg and they really got him involved and they were doing all these little shovel passes um where he got a bunch of receptions. But then the next game he had three carries for two yards. He didn't do any think he wasn't catching any passes, he wasn't involved, they
weren't running the wildcats. So I'm not really sure what to expect moving forward outside of the fact that, yes, there is upside with Janalen Samuels if James Connor were to misstime. But even if James Connor plays in this game and he's limited, I would still expect him to see a majority of the work, probably around you know, fifteen to seventeen touches and then maybe Janalen Samuels sees six to eight, six to ten, something like that. So I don't think you're breaking the bank. I'm looking at
seven eight percent. I'm not breaking the bank. But as you said back on Monday, Jen Samuel had that amazing game you reference, and I think, knowing that Connor will be a bit limited, he's gonna have a big role. And I think the Steelers and Mike Tomland or I would hope I saw what we saw last night that makes Rudolph against stinks and they're gonna want to utilize Jalen Samuels. They're calling a percent healthy right now in this game. I want Jalen Samuel's a Connor owner or not.
Like I said, I am sorry. Like you said, I agree that seven cent makes sense if you're James Connor or owner. I sprinkle on Trey Edmund just in case. Maybe, I mean, we have to see what's going on with Benny Snell as well. He left last night with a knee injury. But now we're talking about potentially four running
backs in the mix for the tracks Fury Steelers. Not that all of them are going to be in the mix on a weekly basis, but all of it is dependent on how hurt the players for the Steelers actually are right now. James Conner again limited to start the week. Um, we'll help see what's going on with Benny Snell as well.
Maybe if you're in a deeper league, one of these high stakes leagues where you have eight or nine bench spots, you can look at, you know, a very very small bid on Trey Edmonds if you are a James Connor owner. But outside of that, not really much interest. I mentioned Mark Walton before as well. If he's out there on the way over wire, how much you spending again, I think a similar amount to Jalen Samuels, maybe even a
little bit less, five to six percent. If you really really need a flex this week, there are four teams on a buy with the Falcons, Bengals, Rams, and Saints, So if you're really desperate, you know seven eight percent. But again, this is one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, one of the worst offenses in the NFL, which means they're likely playing from behind in a lot of games, which means they're throwing the football, and a lot of times they're throwing the football to Preston Williams
and throwing the ball to Davanta Parker. I really like the six targets from Mark Walton last night, so that helps him have value in PPR leagues. Obviously played eight seven percent of the snaps uh and Kenyan Drake leaves behind fifcent of the target share. He's now in Arizona. UM I'm looking at anywhere from five to eight percent, eight percent being the more aggressive side. But again, you've got a temporary expectations. Even with the starting running back
for the Miami Dolphins. Yeah, for me, Like I said, just not somebody I I really want to go after, not somebody I want to invest in. He's absolutely desperation. And I think if you're using Mark Woon as a flexi what you're going to do, most likely you probably can find some wide receivers you have a better chance to get of getting the end zone the Mark Wallon, Right, Like, who would you rather own, for instance, E. J. Brown or Mark Wallen? I think that's comparable. Yeah, a J.
Browne I would rather go with a J. Brown. I mean the way that Tannehill is playing, not that he's you know, lighting up the scoreboard by any means, but he has throwing three touchdowns and back to back games. One of those touchdowns this week was to A J. Brown the week before if he led the team with seven or eight targets, whatever it was. So I do like A J. Brown. Um, he's been making plays. I
just want to see more consistent targets for him. Again, expected more for him going up against the Tampa Bay Bucks defense this week, but I think that is comparable. Actually, if you remember our guy Derek Brown greg before the season, we did our Bears preview with Derek Brown. I tweeted out the usage for the Dolphins running backs earlier today,
and he actually said exactly what you said. He said, give me a wide receiver that's seeing five to seven targets with a decent average depth of target, and I'll take that player over Mark Walton. I think it just makes sense, alright. Other running backs that could be out there here this week, Frank we measure where he most on yesterday's program. The four Niners didn't practice yesterday. They played on Thursday nights, but they have to release a
practice report for some BS reason. Um today they will practice tomorrow. They have a walkers Today is the big A for Matt Brita for he Mosters, for Jeff Wilson, none of them who have been ruled out. Brito was actually given a limited tag yesterday, which is like a theoretical tags, as was Raheem Moster precisely today. Like I said, these teams actually practice, so we'll see who is out there for both the nine Years and the Cardinals a limit later on today, and that's when you're probably gonna
make your decision based on where he most like. I don't know that that Brin will be available, ask Virginia probably on Thursday. Um, but I Moster is out there and you're a Matt Brita owner. How much she's spending Probably in a similar range of some of these guys, five to six percent if you want to be a little bit more aggressive, But not really. Again, there's no running backs that I feel great about spending double digit percentage of my fab on this week at least. But
Rahee Moster looked. He was great again in Week eight, nine rushes for sixty yards, including a forty one yard touchdown. This guy now has ninety five career carries. He's averaging six point four yards per carry. Kyle Sanahan, all he does is produced fantasy viable running backs for he Mostart is one of those running backs, so I'm definitely interested. The forty Niners offensive line, even without their starting tackles, is third in the NFL in adjusted line yards per
Football Outsiders. They have the third best run blocking offensive line with injuries to their starting tackles, so it's just crazy. They're playing lights out football right now. They're playing with leads, which has led to them running the football even more. Their ten point favorites for this game against Arizona if Matt Breta cannot go in this game, or even if he's limited, I think Mostart is in play as a flex.
You might argue that even if Matt Brida plays, getting the seven to ten touches out of Mostart in the San Francisco offense is better than anything you'll get out of Mark wall Absolutely, I totally agree with you. In a game where the Niners should dominate against the Cardinals a short week, not Breda is going to be limited, and if the game script goes how we expected to
a short week, why would they play Matt Brida? Be honest, I agree, I mean, who knows, but especially what Tavin Cowan's playing like, there's no reason to play Matt Brida, which means most a much more viable flex in my opinion than Mark Walton is because he's going to have a chance more opportunities to find the end zone, and that's what you're looking for out of that desperation FLEXI play.
And we just saw what let's Savus Murray did against this Arizona Cardinals defense as well, a hundred and fifty seven total yards, nine receptions and two touchdowns. So obviously we loved Tevin Coleman for that match up on Thursday. But pay attention to this Brita and Raheem Mostert situation. I'm very very interested, Greg, absolutely something you definitely want to look to tonight when you get the practice reports from Arizona and from San Francisco. Any other running backs
were picking up this week? Yeah, I have a few names mentioned that we were going to talk a little bit about Trey Carson. Everybody was tilting on Sunday morning, Greg, Sunday afternoon, when the when the first drive, the first couple of drives are going to Tray Carson, who the Detroit Lions actually picked up from their a f C North rivals off the Green Bay Packers. Packers practice squad. Ti Johnson still lead this team with of the snaps,
they had four running backs involved, very frustrating situation. Ty Johnson, Trey Carson, J D mckiss, Paul Perkins nine percent. Carson led the team with twelve carries. Detroit only had one red zone rushing attempt that went to Tray Carson as well. They're facing the Oakland Raiders this week, who have actually
been better against the run. But if you picked up Ty Johnson and you are desperate again more of a deeperly add You can look at Tray Carson, a few names that I'll bring up, Greg and maybe we kind of talk about these guys a little bit when we come back from the break, various guys and Darryl Henderson
as STASH candidates. Yeah, we certainly mentioned them. I also want to get into the wide receivers on the other side of the break, and even all over Chris Conley this week we'll tell you how much to spend on him. That's other guys, that's where they're looking at the Waiver Wire show. Here on the Grid, get on it. Before we want on the wide receivers Frankie Imagined. You want to hit up on Darius Guice and some other running backs before we move on. Now, start off with Darius Guys. Adrian Peterson has average nineteen rushing attempts for games since Bill Callahan has took over as the interim
head coach in Washington. It's clear that they want to run the football. He was back on the practice field yesterday, eligible to return in week eleven, So if he's still available on your waiver wire, look at the stashing him right now. Um. I'm not sure that Washington will be playing with a lot of leads, but as they've shown us, it doesn't really matter. They're still to try and run
the football regardless of what the score is. We saw that last week on Thursday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings. As for Darryl Henderson, Greg whatever is going on with Todd Gurley, it's clear there's something because he's averaging a
career low three point nine yards per carry. I understand the offensive line is not what it has been in years past, but he just went up against the Cincinnati Bengals and that is one of, if not the best matchup you can have for a running back, and even against them, he did not look great. He's averaging just fifty point seven rushing yards per game, both that and his yards per carry this season or a career low. He is on pace for just thirty two receptions this season.
So whatever is going on for Girly, you know, maybe the bye week will help him rest up and get right for the second half. But just in case, Darryl Henderson has run more efficiently than Girly recently, Greg and he's actually starting to creep into the snapshare as well. Girly this past week played of the snaps Darryl Henderson
percent of the snap. Is there a chance after the bye then Malcolm Brown is back, There is a chance, But I think that we're starting to see them turn that back up roll over to Darryl Henderson as we saw. I don't know about that, man. I mean, it's in the season. They wanted Darryl Henderson to be a thing. He just wasn't. He didn't pick up on the offensive system quick enough for Sean McVeigh and the Los Angeles Rams.
But they spent a third round pick on Darryl Henderson, and I think that they like him, and I think that they want to get him involved. And if anything, were to happen to Todd Gurley. Darryl Henderson does legitimately have r B two value. I'm not as worried about Malcolm Brown maybe as you are. Greg. And then we have to mention the situation that's going on with the Jets right now. We alluded to it earlier on in the show. J E t s just end the season
right now. They're shopping everybody, but one name that has been rumored is Levian Bell. Obviously, if you're listening to this later on in the day past the trade deadline, you'll know whether or not Levian Bell has already been traded or not. If that is the case, obviously you'll want to pick up Time Montgomery, and even in deeper leagues,
look at ball all Powell. I know the that Levian Bell has not been able to do much behind his Jets offensive line, but they do have a really, really good schedule upcoming, so even Time Montgomery should be able to take advantage of some of these matchups against the Dolphins and the Bengals. For example, Greg intentionally, sir, right,
let's be one of the wide receiver's gonna break. I mentioned Chris Connley, who's did a nice job with the Jaguars the season Gardner Min she's locked on onto him and d J. Shark Connelly's out there in a lot of places. I much you're spending. I'm thinking a similar amount to what I mentioned for the running backs five to eight percent and Greg when we say five to eight percent, I kind of wanted to ask you and
pick your brain about this. Is that from what your original budget is or is it of your remaining budget? Because I always really do it based on how what you started with. So, for example, I have twenty four dollars left in my home league. If I say I'm willing to spend five to eight percent of my budget on Chris Conley, I'm thinking five to eight dollars is
how you look at it. I totally agree. I totally don't agree you when you say if I have to eight I always talk about the original numbers you have, you know, a hundred we start with a hundred bucks, and you're telling me five to eight percent. I'm all right, So spending like six seven dollars here on Jalen Samuel's roll and Chris Conley or whoever you have a thousand dollars, you're you're looking like that. That's exactly right. So that's
what I'm thinking for Chris Connley as well. D D. Westbrook dealing with the next slash shoulder injury right now. He left the game early. We don't know what his availability is going to be yet four week nine, but it's a really good matchup going up against the Houston Texans to allow the third most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. They just allowed ten receptions, two one yards,
and two touchdowns to Oakland wide receivers Hunter Rent. For of all people, Chris Conley, uh and t J. Chark played fifty five snaps each. They both ran thirty eight routes this past week, Greg and over the past two weeks, Chris Connley see of the target share thirty nine percent of their air yards. He just had a seventy yard touchdown against the Jets. I am very interested in Chris Conley. He's playing more seeing the targets and it's a good matchup.
He's playing a lot. I know they have a bye next week right week, so this is a potentially short term. It's potentially a one week play, and I'd rather have Chris Conley in the running match. We're talking about earlier, like the Mark Walton's Jalen Samuel especially Connor plays um no need West potentially no market's lead. Potentially, it's going to be legitimately as much Chris Conney and d J. Jark as you can handle, which makes Connie and a
really good spot this week. Yeah, he's my top wide receiver. And I've seen some people some people talking about Deonta Johnson as well. Great, who would you rather have between Chris Conley and Deontay Johnson. So there's clearly an affinity for Deontay Johnson basic that that's that's real. In the five games they've played, Deonta Johnson cent of the target chair and scored three touchdowns in five games. Was supposed to be the James Washington OSU connection. No, I don't
remember that. Craig, let's quickly, let's quickly sweep that one under the rug. Did you know that C. J. Bethard went to Iowa with George Gee? I did know that, Yeah, because that was that was a storyline last year when when they started taking off. I brought it up, Frank, the os U thing in the Iowa thing. All right, Well, we we like the Bethrood and the Kittle thing um James Washington. I don't even know who you're talking about, all right, cool anyway or is My friends would call
him j beat had beat hard. It is pretty funny. I enjoy it. I prefer Chris Coney over Man. It's not a bad matchup this week. The Steelers are going up against the Cold Sale, the twelfth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. But Deonta Johnson looked pretty good again last night, seven targets, five for eighty four and one. I think the Steelers found a little bit a little bit of something here with Deonta Johnson. They continue to
draft wide receiver as well greg they do. But I also do want to say that the Steelers through thereby Jacksonville has that by next week. If you're looking longer term, may prefer Deontay Johnson, especially if you're desperate for a wide receiver three or you have a lot of bye weeks coming up players on by this week or next week, and you you might want to look more so into Deontay Johnson. But I really really do like Chris Connley
for this matchup. I look into him for DFS as well, I also think that number that you want to spend, and you said again along those lines, I think you also have to think about like when you would utilize this player or how you utilize You're gonna start Chris Conley. You can go over that number, like you need him this week, you want to play eleven percent from him? I I get it. Like that, that's fine us that warranted, though, Greg, I think this brings up a philosophy question for waiver wire.
Is it warranted spending that much money for a player that you're only going to use one week? But if you expect that player to have a monster game and they help you win that week and it's a much needed win, it might be worth it. So my answer is yes, his warrant you know'll give you two examples. One was from either Week two or three this year where every Eagle wide receiver went down on a Sunday. The only one remaining they played on Thursday against Packers
was Nelson. We all knew he was going to have He was the only wide receiver standing, right, So you had to spend whatever it took. And instead of spending the probably six seven eight dollars you should have if you spent fifteen you felt okay about it because Adler did exactly what you wanted him to do. That's one example. The other example didn't necessarily work out as well, but
the thought process was there. Last week, everyone spent fifteen on Kenny Still with the thought that he was gonna blow up last week I guess Oakland, and then this week before the bye he could do it again against Jacksonville. I know it's in London, but like you thought, Kenny Stills has an opportunity to really have a huge two weeks for you and maybe win you a couple of weeks before thereby next week before Will Fuller probably comes
back after that by. So my answer is, if you're going to start him and you're expecting a blow up spot, absolutely, I have no issue going five percent over our recommended number. Yeah, and I think we're in lockstep there too. I mean, as much as we've talked about Chris Conley already, it's a really really good spot. Again, we should see some points back and forth here between the Jaguars and the Texas Gardner Minshew is playing well and they've developed quite
a connection. So I'm with you on that one totally. We'll see. Uh So, anyways, Chris Connley again this week. If you want to spend over and make sure you get it and make sure you put him in ahead, do it. If I would rather have a one week fill in Chris Conley over Deanta Johnson. But if you need somebody that you're hoping to start a little bit longer term, Deontay Johnson maybe the guy. I think that
makes sense. And I'll bring up a few more wide receivers here for you as well, Greg, before you laugh, before you get mad at me, and wait for this. Danny ammondla the us of Danny Amendola eight receptions in back to back games. I don't think that we can just ignore what's going on right now with with Danny Emmon doing in the Detroit Lions back to back games, Gregg. During that span, he leads the Detroit Lions and targets twenty five percent of their target share, played of their
snaps during that span as well. And I want exposure to the Detroit Lions passing attack, Greg, They currently ranked fifth in the NFL two eighty two points seven passing yards per game. Danny Amendol is going up against the Oakland Raiders. You want to talk about a player you might only play for one week, that's perfectly fine. The Oakland Raiders are allowing the fourth most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. We just saw DeAndre Hopkins have
a big game. We were expecting a bigger game out of Kenny Stills. It didn't come. But I think based on the usage of Danny Amendol these past two weeks, Greg the fact that he has eight receptions in each of these past two games, and it's a good spot against Oakland. I do like Danny Amendola in the spot. Probably not gonna do the Danny Amendol thing unless you're absolutely desperate. Well, I like, you know, two to three
to three bucks. Couple of other names worth mentioning. Alex Ericson could be a security blanket for new Cincinnative Anglo starter Ryan Finley and Dalton Bench on his birthday during the bye Ericson won't cost you much. I probably would wait till midwek to pick him up because if he's still out there, probably not picking him up with a bye week this week, So alex Ericson certainly long term name. Another name I want to mention this to Marius Thomas.
If Robbie Anderson has traded in the next hour and a half to Marius Thomas along with Jamison Crowdig with the one A and one B four Sam Donald, We've seen to Marius Thomas targets be pretty steady around five since Donald returning the stary in the lineup. I think to Marius Thomas, if he's out there, worth pickup. Yeah, I think that makes a lot of sense. And the Jets are shopping everyone again. We we just spoke about this and Robby Anderson is up for sale as well.
The upcoming schedule the Dolphins, the Giants. Domminson out is Adien Hour who's been put on I R. You've been put on I R so used. I mean you're using every player against the Dolphins anyway, but specifically wide receiver is going to be very valuable. The Dolphins, Giants, Washington, Oakland, Cincinnati, Miami Again. The next three games coming up for the New York Tests are really good. So I agree with Greg pay attention to Damarrius Thomas. Absolutely right. We'll take
a break when we come back. The streaming portion of the program Quarterbacks, tight ends, and defenses. We'll tell you what we're thinking next. Are you ready for the nation's first and only free, twenty four hour network dedicated to you, the betting and fantasy sports enthusiast. Sports Grade will provide you with a real time content, statistics and gaming intelligence
unlike anything you've ever seen before. Located both in the heart of New York City and inside the FanDuel Sports Book at the Metal Ends, sports Crade's live eighteen hours a day here to serve you the fanatic. This is Sports Grade, get off the grid, bag with you final fifteen minutes or so the program here. They're loyal watchers and news so they now fifteen minutes ago, Greg, let's go, so they know the wider series. And we didn't get a chance to mention yet. I did want to mention
Josh Reynolds as another STASH candidate here. Brandon Cooks dealing with his second concussion of the season. We saw Sterling Shepard suffer from his second concussion and missed three games in a row, So personally I think that Brandon Cooks is going to miss some time. This is more of a deeper league stash. But Josh Reynolds first game in here played eighty nine percent of the Snash ran thirty one routes on thirty four Jared Golf dropbacks, Josh Reynolds
seventy three yards and a touchdown in that game. Greg eight targets, so came in and was was instantly targeted more than Robert Woods and Gerald Everett had three red zone targets and two end zone targets last year when he took over for Cooper Cup from week eleven on, he was wide receiver thirty five overall. So I think there's some value with Josh Reynolds Reynolds in deeper leagues.
Zach Pascal, I understand the production was there this past week, but he actually just played a season high of the snaps. He ran thirty four routes on thirty seven to Kobe Brissette drop backs, which was also a season high for him. So I think, Zach Pascal, if we continue to see him play this much, the production will come. He had a pretty good connection with which Kobe Persette going into last week of the production just wasn't there. The Broncos
have been good against wide receivers. The last name I threw out there Greg again more of a deeper league, Guy Russell, Gauge, our guy Michael Florio, former best friend forever, kind of an oxy moron. Russell Gauge is the new slot receiver for the Atlanta Falcons. He ran twenty four slot routes. He had eight slot targets, six slot receptions, and fifty one slot yards he played of the snaps overall, I expect after the bye Matt Ryan is back. This
Falcons defense is still very bad. They're playing from behind in a lot of games. They're throwing the ball. That means obviously Julio, Calvin Ridley, and Houston Hooper are gonna get there's but there might be some targets available for Russell Gauge as well. We saw Mohammedan who have value earlier on in the season. You mentioned Austin Hoover, Austin Whover on a by this week, so people are going to need to replace him at the tite end spot, and also, well all the other side ends in the
league stuck, so you need a new side end. Who's the number one guy this week? So I think that there's a few names that are kind of up for discussion here between Chris Herndon, Darren Fells, Dallas Goddard, John Who Smith. I think Noah Fan is interesting as well. So that's five different tight ends. We'll start off with Chris Herndon, Greg Ryan Griffin coming off a game where he just scored two touchdowns. He has run a hundred and sixty eight routes so far this year at the
tight end position that ranks seventeen. I kind of wanted to bounce this off of you as well. Do you think the hype for Chris Herndon is a warranted Greg and b when he comes back? Do you think Ryan Griffin just completely goes away. He's performed pretty well. Yeah, I think Grimming totally goes away. I think Chris Herndon
um is the number one tight end there. But I will say from watching this past week with Griffin scoring those two touchdowns, maybe excited any Chris Herndon owner like what he could do, especially if this team trade Robby Anderson in the next hour or so. Chris Herndon, They're gonna really rely on him, and I think he could be somebody, And I'm sure I feel like he's ownly a lot of places now, but I know there's a lot of people banging on Chris Herndon being good at
least last week in the indication he could be. He's only twenty percent owned in Yahoo League, so he is available there. I'll throwout Darren Fells obviously, uh the thirty three year old breakout season here for Darren Fells just scored two touchdowns this past week and in their first game. This is what I found most interesting, Greg, their first game without Will Fuller in the lineup here because of the injury. He was second on the team and targets.
We all thought that Kenny Stills was going to be that guy. Well it was really Darren Fells who stepped up here second on the team and targets, caught all six of his targets again, had two touchdowns going up against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week. The only the only thing that makes me slightly hesitant is that on the season he does split time with Jordan Aikins, and Jordan Aikins has actually run more routes on the season than
Darren Fells, So keep that in mind. Greg Dallas Goddard yep eating into all of the production for Zach Orts. I own zach Ertz in the league. It's been really, really frustrating. Over the past three weeks, Dallas Goddard twelve receptions dred and thirty nine yards and two touchdowns on sixteen targets during that same span, zach Ertz eight receptions,
one and twelve yards, zero touchdowns on seventeen targets. Goddard four red zone targets to UH two end zone targets, zach ERT's three red zone targets, zero end zone targets. So once they get into that area of the field, the teams like they are utilizing Dallas Goddard a little bit more, which is crazy because Earth's overall is playing way more. He's running way more routes thirty one routes for game over these past three while Dallas Goddard is
only at nineteen point seven. Greg of all these tight end names that we mentioned, Chris Herndon, Darren Fells, Dallas Goddard, you know, John hu Smith just had a touchdown. But Adam Levitts hand pointed this out on Twitter that Anthony firkser Ran played a lot of snaps, ran more routes high schools and ran more, ran more slot routes as well. What I went to my high school, he went to here high school and you you and him are boys. Andrew, Oh, Andrew Ferkshire went to your high school? So that are
you interested in Andrew Ferkster? No Smith? Uh? Yeah. So all these guys that you've mentioned, they all make sense for in their own way, but they all have deficiencies, right Like they have another tight end who either plays or is targeted, and you just whatever, this is the nature of the tight end position. Yeah, it's literally close
your eyes, point at the screen and pick which everyone comes. Personally, I would rank them Chris Herndon, Darren Fells, probably Dallas god or over, John Hu Smith de Laney Walker is probably going to be back. But they're un They're they're utilizing God. Are in the red zone, and that's what you want, right Like you want red zone targets your
tight end. He does. But a lot of these tight ends have other tight ends that are also playing, right Like Darren Fells has nakeds, John Smith has Anthony Ferkster, Lanny Walker, and then there's no a fan who you want to be excited about. The eight targets, five receptions, all season highs play of the snaps. But now he's Brandon Allen as his quarterback. So I mean, unless you
think Brandon Allen's gonna lean on the tighten. Yeah, So I think No A Fan is probably the one that goes higher for me than the rest of these guys. Chris Herndon's hire you ranking these guys, So Chris Herndon will be number one for me, then probably Darren Fells, then No A Fan than Johnny Smith, then Dallas Goddard for me got her last out of Okay, I'm gonna have No A Fan lash just because I don't know what to expect from Brandon now he's gotta throw to
somebody he does. But Cortland Sutton's there and he's still really good. Play this week they are going up against the Cleveland Browns, so we're taking out cortlandt that makes sense, maybe more maybe more no offense, Yeah, yeah, that might make sense. He I know the Browns have allowed four touchdowns to tight end so far this season as well, so I would rank it Herndon, Darren Fells. I still think I'd go with Goddard just because of the way
that they're utilizing him in the red zone. And then I'll go to a Fan and then I'll go John new Smith. All right, let me go up to the quarterback position. If you streat me a quarterback, there's a lot of them on by this week. Um, where are you looking? I know you talked about this on the fan duel. Hurry up yesterday. Where are you looking at?
Who your top quarterbacks in the market? Yeah, I'm going back to the Minshoe musta as Gardner Minshew finished QB five in Week eight two hundred and seventy nine yards and three touchdowns on the season, actually ranks fifth among quarterbacks with two hundred and one rushing yards so far this season. Going up against the Texans I mentioned earlier, I like Chris Conley. Let's remain consistent. I gotta like
the guy who's throwing him the ball as well. The Texans have allowed three passing touchdowns in four straight games. If Gardner Minshew has already owned Derek Carr the Raiders offense, Greig is playing really well this year six point two yards per play on offense. That's fourth best in the entire NFL. Two undred and eighty five yards and three touchdowns this past week for Derek Carr and the Lions have allowed eight passing touchdowns over their last two games.
You just saw your boy Danny Johns. Daniel Jones finished as the QB one overall. So for me, it's Minshew, Derek Carr, and then if you're desperate, Sam Donald's going up against the Dolphins. Even Mason Rudolph threw multiple touchdowns against this Dolphins defense. Sam Donald has struggled with pressure, Greg, and the Dolphins are last in the NFL and pressure rate just pressuring the quarterback UM five point two times
per game, that is the worst in the NFL. I know that you're a big fan of the Seeing Ghost comment. It's Halloween week, Greg, why not? Why not stream Sam Donald? I would have no issue shooting Sam Donald against the Miami Dolphins. No Xavian Howard, as we said he's out for the season. Donald could target him. Uh couldn't target the quarterbacks for Miami as we saw last night that Mason Rudolph did. I Mason Rudolph could do it, Sam Donald could do it. Good spot obviously for Donald Donald.
Derek Carr means you clearly the three guys that are out there this week, I probably lean Derek Carr over Gardner Minshew. Um, I'll still take Minshew. I just really like that matchup. I think we see points go both ways. I think we see a little bit more Greg, we've both played super flexings. More interested in Ryan Finley or Drew Probably Ryan Finley because Drew locks on the starter right now he's not, But I think it sooner rather than later we will get Drew lock as he starting quarterback.
But I do agree with you. I think its super flex leagues. They're both worth dashing. Obviously, the Bengals are on a bye. They benched Andy Dalton today on his birthday. Kind of messed up, I guess, but it is what it is there oh and eight and they want to see what they have and right on his birthday. What's at least he had off on his birthday? That's fine. Can I have off on my birthday? A right, it's a weekend? Perfect? How about the day before? But you
can't because I'm off, So you can't be off? Oh oh, you just want to take off your wedding, Greg, Maybe my birthday is a little bit more. Giving you off for your birthday. It's a weekend, you're off. I'm not making you work the next day either. I'm working Sundays, not that Sunday and I'm working Sundays. You're off that Sunday. How about that? Fair enough? Pick up Ryan Finley and super flex Leaue. All right, Uh, there's the quarterbacks to
tight ends. Frankie. Let's move on the defense here. What do you think? Obviously, I think the Jets make a lot of sense. It's going up against the Miami Dolphins. They can't block anybody ice. We all saw last night in primetime the Steelers continuously getting after Ryan Fitzpatrick. I would say that the Steelers have a little bit of a better pass for us than the New York Jets, but ultimately we should see some sacks and turnovers for the j e t S just just end the season
this week, Craig. I also really like the Cleveland Browns. They're widely available going up against the Denver Broncos. Normally we don't like defenses traveling to Denver altitude, all that going on. But ultimately, Brandon Allen not sure what to expect from him. I think the Cleveland Browns could have some success. The Browns defense hasn't really been their problem, it's been their offense. So I do like their defense.
In this spot. I'll throw a few more out there, Greg, and you tell me which one you like the most. Seattle going up against Tampa Bay, Jamis Wintern shooting the ball over so much. Philadelphia going up against Chicago Drabinsky not good, hold onto the ball too long, could get some sacks there. And Dallas going up against your New York Giants. Settle Vers Tam Madge my favorite out of those last three. Tim May, like you said, Jameis Winson turnover machine, and that's what we're looking at. He has
ten turnovers over his last two games. That's what we're looking for them, right. You're not just looking for to keep the points down. You're looking for the turnovers, and that's what Jameis Winston provides. Same with Daniel Jones, who has not been able to hold on the football. Once you get to him, he seemingly drops the ball constantly, so those fumbles will be there. The offensive line has been bad for the Giants. Finally, I'll go to Philadelphia
against Chicago, where we've seen David Montgomery. You have some nice games. Obviously Robisky isn't very good and definitely holds the ball for too long, but they would be last. They would be after Dallas and f of Seattle for me. Great? Can I interest you in the Miami Dolphins towing up against Sam Donald and the Jets? No, you're not gonna do it all right, just started thrown out there. They are that bad if you're picking up these players, Frankie,
obviously you have to drop some players. Let me ask you about a couple of guys. You let me know if you drop them for some of the hot waiver wire ads this week, the wide receivers and the running backs that we spoke to. Uh last week, the top wide receiver pick it was Kenny Stills, Jack King Stills, Chris Conley. Wow, that's a good one. Um, I don't think I would. Would you drop? Mexan's offense is just
that much more explosive. Would you drive any of the packer any or all of the packers for Chris Conny outside of Davanta Adams? Yes, I would drop all of them. Okay, would you drop Let me see, would you would you pick up me Cole Hardman. No, he scored a touchdown last week, but I just don't think that he's going to be involved enough, like they're gonna drop a few specific plays for him every single week. But still, Tyreek
Hill still, Sammy Watkins getting back healthy. Travis Kelsey was involved. Um maybe in deeper leagues, but in your normal twelve teams or anything. Shallower No, no for me? Fair enough? Um, what do you do? Well? We move on? Sorry? Would you drop? Would you drop the no? What does it make sense? Either? I think good ones and and I'm obviously you're struggling here. B. C. Johnson you can obviously drop if you picked him up last week. O. J. Howard, I mean yeah, I'm just like I'm looking to the
highest dropped candidates right now in Yahoo leagues. Those are a few that come to mind. Josh Gordon. Obviously you've drop. Josh. My My favorite thing is he with the starting Cameron rate last week? So J Howard didn't play and they thought like, oh my god, carey right. I'm just like I was one of those why you you did this? Well? You know what I said? I said he would get six and seven targets. He had six time. Remember I sat here saying like you do this had a touchdown?
Is a repeat? Didn't he have like a touchdown dropped or called back or something? I feel like you should have had a touchdown. Art getting a chance to do it over, You're gonna screw it up again. You're like, yeah, yeah, you know what you did. There were a lot of streaming tight ends last week. Greig camemanb Brady was one of the ones that failed. Donna Smith worked out. He's Frank Stamville. I'm Greg Susman. We'll do it all go tomorrow,
we hope. Are you ready for the nation's first and only free, twenty four hour network dedicated to you the betting and fantasy sports enthusiast. Sports Grade will provide you with a real time content, statistics and gaming intelligence unlike anything you ever seen before. Located both in the heart of New York City and inside the FanDuel Sports book at the meadow Lands Sports Grade, He's live eighteen hours a day. You just serve you the fanatic. This is
Sports Grade. Get all the gride. What did happen? What did Here's what you missed on the BFFs. Jalen Samuel out there and Waivers? Is he your favorite Waiver Wire pick up this week? Probably at the running back position. I think it's close between him and Mark Walton. I put out the poll before the show, Greg and surprisingly everybody is all over Jalen Samuel's as the top waiver wire add. There are already sixty seven votes on the pole greg and sixty percent say Jalen Samuels is the
top waiver wire add this week. I think that's with the assumption that you know, James Conner might be missing time. But based on everything we've read so far, it looks like James Conner is going to be good to go. But I think it's close between him and Mark Walton. I understand the Miami Dolphins are terrible team, but Walton played a ton last night. Seven percent of the snaps, he had eleven carries. He had six targets as well,
so seventeen running back opportunities. I understand it's a bad team, bad offensive line, but you've got some good matchups coming up. He's gonna face the Jets a couple of times here. So I think it's close between Samuels and Walton. And then I also really really like Chris Conley at the wide receiver position, but we talk about that a little bit later. Again, all of these guys, specifically from last night, I certainly kid an eye on Mark Walton and Kylen
Bellage just to see the usage. As you said, Mark Walton eighty percent of the snaps last night, like Caim Malage to get involved in the wildcat inside the red zone at one point. The problem is his Novince team is so bad and their offensive line is terrible, and they're gonna be behind every game. The upside for Mark Walton, it's just capped, Like I get it, Like you want a a flex play potentially in a bye week, that's
all Mark Walton's good for us. Like I can't even break the bank for a guy like Walon, even though he's a starter, because I think that upside is just so so limited, that is fair. And Jalen Samuel's upside is higher assuming that James Connor would have been time, but I don't know that we can really assume that right now. So I think it's it's the possibility that's
kind of looming inside of people's minds right now. And undoubtedly there's more upside if you are the Steelers featured running back as opposed to being the Dolphins featured running back. So we'll pay attention to that. But if it if it comes down to, you know, having to spend a big amount of your fab budget at this point in the season. On Jalen Samuel is giving the information that we have. I don't know that there's that guy this week that you want to spend a ton of fab on.
And thankfully we don't have a Ti Johnson situation either because that did not work out Greg, But trade Carson. Maybe we'll get to that. He's on the list. I know he's on the list. It's called all the guys um I think worth talking about as well. We're getting all that will also gonna hit up the streaming quarterbacks. What about James? What about Jujuice Smith Chuster from last night it looked really good obviously. Yeah, that first story was brutal. I mean, just lofted it up there for
Xavien Howard. Got lucky that Xavier Howard actually left the game or else he might have had more interceptions later on. But Juju comes through again. Really great matchup, nine targets, five receptions, a hundred and three yards and a touchdown. Is this your cell high opportunity for Juju Smith Schuster? I would absolutely think so, no question about it. They played a brutal Miami defense. Mason route up underthrew a ton of passage. Judic the Schuster had a couple of catches,
great catches in traffic. I'm absolutely using this opportunity to drade Juice Schuster hide
