Weeding out the Fantasy Snakes!

Talk about some most added, most drop players, the most traded players, which a lot to figure out what to do on Wednesday's moving forward soon because I feel like a lot of trade deadlines are passing. I mean I extend trade deadline and Hiley because it's as a keeper league. Things happened later on. So our trade deadline is November. But I feel like a lot of people have either approached there's or passed there. So that'll be discussion for off air. Greg. Yes, how are you doing, Bud Okay?

I'm okay, could be doing better. Yeah, if you got a little Josh Reynolds in your life. Yeah, Waivers went through. That wasn't that was not well. I mean, hey you got Josh jockson. That's great. I'm gonna have to start Josh Doxon this week. Dude, you don't want to hear my line of that. I haven't my here's my issue, So here's my issues. A little engine that could my latup this week is is poorest, to say the least. Well, do you have Adam Humphreys then Dante Moncrief in your

line up this week? However, I do have got the Panthers defense. Didn't even realize that that's good. I do have Josh Adams in my latup this week is my RV two and and my second flex is currently Jordan Reid. Will either be Jordan Read or his teammate Josh Doxon. That seems like an issue for the because my tight end, you know the game managing Alex Smith, you know who my tight end is. Can you take me? Hi? You're man correct? Nice? My flex choice is either Jordan Reid,

Josh Dockson, or my other player. I just picked up get ready for you am e as big alright, sneaky. Yeah, I picked him up as well. You know why not? I thought it only is a Thursday night, not that it matters, but um no, Randall Cobb, you know he's the number three receiver. He's locked in his number three receivers, number three receiver last week. Two though great went very poorly last week where he talked two passes for three yards. Yeah, so you'll have to figure that out. Waivers went through

last night. Um, I got the Panthers defense. I think one of they're one of the better streams right now based on how the Detroit Lions offensive line is playing. You know, the Panthers defense hasn't been great this year. They're kind of like the middle of the pack. They're not the Panthers defense of old that we're kind of used to. And you know, I was surprised to see their their ownership percentage as high as it was because people still look at they still look at the Panthers

defense like they're one of the better ones. But Detroit Lions have allowed sixteen sacks of Matthew Stafford over the past two weeks. So I'm excited about the Panthers everything else. Um, you have Dante Moncree from my lineup, I could see him out for a shot penny who I picked up for seven bucks, pennies, seven dollars, you say, yeah, and maybe we should start there right Basically, the report that

you were telling me downstairs. Yeah, it's basically when asked about Shot Penny's work a little this past weekend, the Carol said, hey, well, Chris Carson's come back Thursday. We don't enough roomy and all these guys carries, so you know we'll say great, yeah, Like what does that even mean? Not helpful? The question that I have for Pete Carroll is why would because even when Chris Carson was getting his workload, like Mike Davis was still kind of getting

worked in as well. I don't think that Chris Carson is healthy yet. I could definitely be wrong about that, but this is a hip injury that has hampered him for a while now. He's been injury prone the past two years. If Mike Davis was the RB two, why wouldn't Shot Penny, your first round pick who just came on the phenomenal game nine yards per carry? Why would he not supplant Mike Davis has the RB two in the offense, right, that's my question to him. Now, we

we don't know how it's going to work out. Um, Chris Carson. I haven't done my running back rankings yet, but I assume Chris Carson will be a high in flex option, and I'm gonna rank with Shot Penny is the next Seahawks running back up. I don't I don't know if that's smart or not, and I think it's kind of a wait and see approach. I think if you own Carson, you're probably gonna end up starting him because you have six teams on a bye this week and a lot of running backs. The Patriots running backs

uh Kenyan Drake obviously. I mean, he hasn't been great, but you were using him, Nick Chubb, Duke Johnson, all these guys in buy so you're likely using Chris Carson as as a high inflex and you know some people might be forced into using for Shot Penny. Whether or not that's smart, I think we're just gonna have to wait and see. Ideally, if you picked up Penny, I would kind of I want to see what happens in

this game first before I put him in my line. Okay, I think there's a chance that he's the RB two and he's the guy getting those eight to ten touches, And the reason why I added him is for the reasons I mentioned yesterday. I still think that there's a chance that over the second half of the season, we kind of start to see the passing of the torch. I mean as great as for shot Penny looked in

this game. And I read you the status yesterday from from Jared Smola about how over his last thirty four carries for shot Penny six point two yards for carry. So he's playing well. He's starting to get acclimated to the to the speed of the NFL game, but he's working himself into game shape as well. So I'm I'm taking the optimistic approach on Penny. I'm not. I wouldn't be mad at you if you if you looked at it the other way either, because I don't think anyone

really knows. I'm currently going through it as you're talking about, because I just told you my flex options. I'm going through all the players that were dropped in my league and seeing that anything there that's interesting. I did the same thing today, not much and that he Hines was dropped. You know he would fit then not much category agreed, Quincy Noon, what was dropped? You can start? You could start him. He might get you the same amount of

Fantasy points as ESB this week. That would be zero. M um M. Jamal Williams was dropped. Not great Bob. Mike Williams was dropped. I actually dropped him in my home league as well, and the keeper league too. I didn't want to do it. I mean, based on the way that everything is playing out right now, Dynasty Keeper, he's not really a guy that I would consider keeping. Yeah. I mean two is last four games, he is three catches total. Yeah, in his last hold one four or five.

In his last six games he has seven catches total. Yeah. Tyrote william Is still uh still has that role as the wide receiver two on the scene. He's playing more snaps, he's seeing more targets. And what clouds things for fantasy for fantasy owners outside of Keenan Allen and Melvin Gordon is that that's exactly it. Their entire offense is funneling through those two players. I mean, even Austin Ekeler has

kind of been phased out here. Melvin Gordon and Keenan Allen are just getting the jobs done, their jobs done, and the defense is playing better. They're not getting into the shootout games. I'm sure that will change whenever they play the Chiefs again and and these other teams. But in games right now, where you know, all right, they just score two or three touchdowns and then just sit on the ball and play good defense. It's a lot

of Melvin Gordon and Keenan Allen. There's just not a lot of opportunity to go around right now for the guys like Tyrone Williams and uh and Mike Williams and Austin Ekeler. It's just it's really just those two guys In Allen and Melvin Gordon. Yeah, I don't blame them. I mean, they're the two best players. All about Melan Gordon, who scores in every single game. All about Keenan Allen, who has just been dominating as I expected him to

do the second half of the year. It's all been what we kind of expected, what we know, we didn't. That was one of the major misses of the Fantasy Expert commun anybody the ways. Mike Williams a big missed by everybody. Yeah, for sure. I mean there's no doubting that I was excited about him. I wasn't. I wasn't pulling him up all the way into like the sixth

seventh round. You know, some people were doing that, getting really really excited about his opportunity as the wide receiver to um you know, because we've seen wide receiver twos on teams, you know, take big steps forward. Tyler Boyd. Obviously, Calvin Ridley's have a had a big rookie impact this year. Also Jujue Smith Schuster. So you know, people were looking at Mike Williams like, okay, maybe he can have that type impact. So I understand the thinking the logic behind

Mike Williams. But yeah, undoubtedly he's been one of the biggest misses. Sure. So frankly I mentioned some of the bids in my league and how he missed down and Josh Rynolds would have been really nice on Monday night football and God against Kansas City. But something happened to you yesterday in regards to talking about your waveris. So I thought it was interesting. Yeah, it was very interesting. Right,

so I wake up today. Obviously, Anthony Miller Josh Reynolds are the crown jewels that I was hoping I can get my hands on. Here. I mentioned yesterday that I only had thirteen dollars of fab left in in my home league. Right, well, louds that I know somebody who plays in my home league was listening somebody who's someone who's who's we hold very close to our heart. Greg, We're used to it. Because he knows all right, maybe Frank was lying and I'm just gonna I'm gonna spend one more dollar than what he has left. I mean, if that's the case, whatever, that's on me. Like I spent more fat than I

should have to this point in this season. I can't be mad at anyone but myself. But if I I wonder if he would have just spent one more dollar than what I would have said anyway, because that would have been frustrating very much. I could just slide. It's been like, you know, I'm gonna spend seven or eight bucks on Anthony Miller, and I'm not that excited, you

know what. A lot of the people exactly, maybe I need to start right when I know, when I when I thought we had friends like Michael Florio friends actually snakes in the grass, that's what they are. But people that are that are listening and voting, Uh, they thought what Floria did was a strategy, and to be fair,

I'd probably do the same thing also. So in my league, remember I told you, guys, um back where you're doing voting that in my league, we created a new rule that if you're mathematically eliminated from the players playoffs, you can't beat on players anymore. You can pick up players, you can't bid on them. Remember we had this conversation a while back. That's that's that's bad. So I don't

agree with that. I agree with with once the playoffs start, if you have a Constellation bracket that was playing in the consolation, Brackett can't pick up players, that's fine. Not allowing players who are mathematically eliminated to not pick up players. You can players you can't, okay, So because you should be allowed to block somebody and you know play uh you know, if you if you want to play the spoiler the spoiler for someone else, you should one scent

be allowed to do it. So technically there's only one team eliminated from the playoffs, my one of my home leagues. That's me. All right, So I'm mathematically eliminated, and I forgot about the rule. So I put a four dollar bidden last night for advance McDonald whatever I won. So I got reversed. So my buddy texted me this morning. He's like, what about the rule? Like, oh yeah, I ever got oops are your commissioner used to be? Thank

got him? Not anymore? And he's like, as long as you can play Kyle Rudolph instead of Vance McDonald Like whatever, I don't care. I'm just pointing out that this rule is stupid. He I don't agree with it that you should be allowed to do whatever you want. I don't agree with it, but I'm just telling you, like, that's the rule, and you're absolutely right. He should have just took vance McDonald off your team. Well, he said so, he said he was going to do that vote on it again this offseason. Absolutely, absolutely season, And that's fine. Even if he would have held a vote today mid season, we didn't realize how this rule affected.

Even if he held a vote today, it's better than just saying, you know what, you bitched, and you bitched, I'm good. You can't do that. You can't just give people their way because they're complaining. Obviously we're excited about Lamar Jackson, but just coming out that Robert griff from the third could get to start, which from an actual NFL Raven's perspective probably makes more sense. Then he the most recent thing is he starts taking quarterbacks and trading them to the people like Donald when he got he claimed mccron. Now he has RG three and Lamar Jackson, and he's trying to milk the people from the other teams to get so they have their starting quarterbacks. He's taken Jared Cook, He's taken Golden take Um. He's he's just completely running with two teams.

Usually his labor claims to snatch up these quarterbacks and then trade them to the people whose quarterbacks got hurt. He did it with Mullins too, and Bessler's got hurt. That that is a slippery snake man. That is see I see you in a bunch of your league mates, go to your go to your commissioner's house, and uh, I beat him up something crazy, put him for a table or something that is unheard. That is wildly Oh,

he has a completement off. He has four quarterbacks rosters right now and he's working with the guy who has the field and just got the count off of him last week. But now he's trying to get Lamar Jackson from him, coping that he gets the stars. But yeah, I mean I just had to call him because I've been calling him snake for weeks now, and I mean when you guys called it up by couldn't resist. the year was Edelman. I traded away Edelman I did. I got O. J. Howard the week I played him, Uh he had uh Melvin Gordon was on by and so he was down to two running backs, so he had to uh put in backup running backs and I won that that one. Then I traded. I used the O. J. Howard that I got, and I traded. I traded O. J. Howard And that's not O. J. Howard on Jordan Howard. Trade Jordan Howard and Kirk Cousins with in my quarterback to a guy who had Drew Brees and when I

played him, he lost. So I've just been trading away player I mean, I sent him good trades and they they accept it. So so far I'm winning. This is like some next level manipulation and I love it. I've never heard of that before, right, So looking at the schedule, seeing when you play a person trading them a player who's on by that week, that is like some next

level manipulation. I love that. Yeah. And and then I traded Odin Tate away for O. J. Howard also, and he went on by and then he didn't really do so well, and he went on two buys, so the guy that as well, and I got O J. Howard and I got zach Ertz as my tight ends. And so far I'm doing pretty good and that's great. Maybe we should start to uh incorporate that strategy. I know some of the higher stakes leagues be playing don't allow trading.

This is probably why Greg like this. Yeah, by the way, you forget to mention Sorry sorry for an empty one, but didn't you have to mention Bryan shots Sean Penny still struggle I think at the offense. Yeah, he struggled the struggle all the way to a hundred yards in a touchdown last week. Greg just saying, well, that sucks. Yeah, there you go. So my my trade offer that's come over to me was trading me Um what the hell is his name for San Diego the wide receiver Keenan Allen for mixing Um to possibly give me a stronger wide receiver with the potential of McGuire maybe falling into that lead role for the Jets. I just have it at my belly that I'm just gonna

weaken one area to possibly strengthen another one. So I listened to you guys every day, and I'm like, Okay, let me let me ask these guys what they think it's. I think it's a fair trade mixing for Keenan Allen. I think the better route to go down would be, in my opinion, if you trade away mixing, you are taking a big depth piece away from your team obviously, so you'll have Barkley and Connor, you'll be fine. But if something were to happen to those guys, your next

running back up is Elijah McGuire. So ideally, what I would try to do is trade mixing away, get the wide receiver you need, but also try and get a lesser running back in return, just so that you still have that depth. And I don't know who else is on your bench, but I would try my best to make sure that I have um either Jalen Samuel's or Wayne Goldman, just to make sure you have these handcuffs for your running back. Will see it's funny he's own

wayn Goldman. Oh you're a sa kwan. Where to get hurt? Way, God would be terrible That's why I understand he's the guy, but he'd be very, very bad. Ye, I don't disagree with you, but he's he's the guy that would get to touches. He's like the next man up. Uh And we don't really know what the backup is for the Samuels as my Okay, I do have Samuels on my bench all right, um and uh, I got lucky because I got Connor in the fourteenth round. So um, and

it's a non PPR. I just I'm just waiting for one of these days for Robinson, Gala Day or or Landry to stop being bitches and and be players. For me. Well, Robinson looks like he's trending in the right direction. I will say that he faces the Vikings this week, so there's a good chance that he's gonna see Xavier Rhodes, Jarvis Slandry hasn't been great. Marvin Jones is banged up. We'll talk to Dr A about that tomorrow. But when he left that game, we saw Kenny Golla to have

a career high and thirteen targets. So I feel like your wide receivers are trending in the right direction. But I do agree that you need a wide receiver one. You need some kind of help here um In non PPR, I will say, knowing that the format, I think that you could get more than Keenan Allen return for Joe Mixon greg because in non PPR, Joe Mixon has more value and Keenan Allen doesn't score that many touchdowns and touchdowns are king when it comes to non PPR. Yeah,

you know the I don't. I don't disagree with you. Joe Mixon starting running back by himself, not gonna worry about I get it. In the not pp are the running back. It's just that much more valuable for sure. Yeah. And if you start to running backs and the flex, then you can flex mixing every week. Would you try to squeeze Cooks out of them for mixing if if that's available. So basically, do you like Brandon Cooks more

than Keenan Allen. I would see that they're on a similar there, on that similar level, I would say they're both like borderline wide receiver ones. I value Brandon Cooks higher than King Down. It's it's very very I think Brandon Cooks is more likely to score touchdowns more touchdowns the rest of the season playing in that rams. Offenses are great, but the rams are more potent. We'll say this, Brandon Cooks is a buy next week Keenan Allen, he

already had his. That It's true. So it depends if you're fighting for a playoff spot and you really really need your win, maybe you can't afford to trade for Brandon Cooks if you really really need to win. I will say in points per game, Joe Mixon right now in non PPR is RB ten, Brandon Cooks is wide receiver thirteen in points per game, and Keenan Allen is wide receiver twenty five. So think about it. You have

the RB ten in points per game right now. I think Brandon Cooks is probably closer to what you want to get. But just to see, just to put it in perspective of who's right around that wide receiver one area on points per game for wide receivers, it's Mike Evans, Emmanuel Sanders, Brandon Cooks, Jujuice Smith Schuster isn't that range so well. I know we're projecting forward for Keenan Allen, but he he hasn't scored that many touchdowns this year, and I don't know how many he's going to score

He plays the slot, so he's not gonna see Xavier Rhodes. I think it's a very close question between Lockett and Anthony Miller. I'll say Anthony Miller in the PPR. Greg, I think so too. I think the PVR will also go with Anthony Miller. But I think it's very close. There's a good question. Yeah,

it definitely is because Tyl Lockett. Yeah, he's scoring touch sounds, but the target share hasn't been massive. It's not like he's getting a ton of targets every single week. I think the Packers secondary is better than people realizing years past. Alexander playing well, Josh Jackson, I think they're going to continue to get better. I just don't trust I just

You're saying that they get the Cardinals and the Bills in weeks fourteen and fifteen, And I think this is a

more popular question than years past. Twitter, you know what defense is? Can I stash for the playoffs? It's not something that normally I really think about, but I understand why people are trying to get that done. Um. Look, the Lions defense hasn't been great by any means, but it's kind of hard to argue against those matchups. Those are the two best matchups for fantasy defenses this year, the Bills being number one and then the Cardinals being

number two. So unless there unless there's another defense out there that has actually played better which has similar matchups, I think the Detroit lines are probably the best one out there. No, there, there's not there's none. I've been fishing, and everybody's stacking up on on two on three defenses

right now. All r Yeah. So if the Detroit lines are out there, and you have a bench spot that you don't need, and you know other people in your league are already that forward thinking looking forward to the playoffs, I don't have a problem with it, because again, the lines evens hasn't played great, but against Arizona Josh Rosen Uh, the offense hasn't been great by any means. And in Buffalo, you don't know who's gonna be their starting quarterback. It

could be Barkley, it could be Josh Allen. Um. They look great against the Jets, but everyone's looked great against the Jets recently. I think those are the two best matchups that you can find. I think so too, although Buffalo the next couple of weeks themselves have really good matchups. Just for the record, Buffalo is like the horrible, but

their defense is good. Their defense is good, and I believe they play the You're gonna hold onto them throughout the buy if you're into stashing defense, Yeah, I don't want right though, You're right, I'm looking at it right now. We twelve thirteen fourteen Jacksonville at Miami and then the Jets again and we fourteen. Those are pretty damn good matchups. Just pointing that out as well. I like that. I like that call. He thought it was a really good idea. And now from Monday today, basically fifty percent of league or just added them all of a sudden. Yeah, it's not often you see the most headed player in the fantasy is a defense. But

everyone's jumping on the Cardinals this week, and rightfully so. Uh. The Derek car led Raiders offense has seemingly given up on the season. They're obviously in full tank. More they're not scoring points, they're giving up a ton of sacks. The Cardinals defense looked adequate last week. I mean they didn't completely get blown out against the Chiefs. They actually covered in that game at seventeen point dogs. So the Cardinals defense, look, it's been a little bit hit or

missed this year. I liked them the week that they were playing the Broncos on Thursday Night football that did not work out. I don't really see a way that they don't work out this week. I think they'll be very popular in dfs as well. I originally had them in my preliminary fan to line up, but um I had to pivot off them because I needed the salary elsewhere. They I think they're like the third or fourth most expensive defense this week. But I'm not surprised at all

by their forty two percent jump in ownership this week. Greg, No, I'm not surprised either, and I'm gonna tell you to do the same thing right now with the Bills. You know what, I'm surprised about the third most added defense this week. And I've gotten a few questions about this as well. The Titans. Well, I know the Titans defense has played well this year. They're facing the buzz saw that is Andrew Luck in the Colts this week. So

four touchdowns seemingly every week. And you know, I actually tweeted this out last night to drink there's two worlds that are about to collide this week because the Titans haven't allowed a single touchdown to a tight end this year, and the Colts have scored a league leading sixteen touchdowns sixteen total touchdowns. That's including the rushing touchdown from Eric Ebron from tight ends this year. So it's you know,

which immovable force will crack? Is it the Titans defense allowing a touchdown to a tight end or will no Colts tight ends get in the ends on this week? I I tend to lean with the Colts given the fact that they have three tight ends that they're throwing the ball to now in Jack Doyle, Eric Ebron, and mo Ali cox Al Cox, which is Ali Cox, m

amongst wide receivers last week for the Saints. I know it was a blowout, so obviously they took Michael Thomas out of that game, but he's been on the field a lot, and this week they're going up against the Eagles, who just lost Ronald Darby were already giving up a ton of fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Tracka Won Smith is going to be on the field. I know he's very boomer bust in that headgain roll, but I'm

kind of intrigued by tray Kwon Smith this week. And I know I haven't been the tray Kwon Smith guy at all because I felt like there was too much hype. But now I feel like it's going too far the other way. Greg, the pendulum has swung the other way.

And look, you still want parts of the Saints offense for fantasy purposes, and I just if you're dropping tray Kawon Smith for like Anthony Miller or Josh Reynolds or Shot Penny, Okay, that's fine, I understand that, But in deeper leagues, I I'd hold on to him and I'll go as far as to say, I think he's a sneaky DFSS polea U DFS played this week against the

banged up Eagles defense in the Super Dome. Yeah, okay, fine, yeah, definitely David and Joku, I know that the upside is there, the physical the potency there, like he like he's a physical freak, like you want to like David Joke, you want to buy. And he's had a few big games this year. You know that he was one of these targets share monsters early on in the season. But uh, ever since Freddy Kitchens and Greg william have taken over the Browns, they've really become a ground and pound, run

the football, Like that is their identity right now. That is there the identity of their offenses. We're gonna ground and pound when we need Baker and make plays. Okay, maybe you'll throw a few touchdowns per game, but we're not going to be a team that throws the football, you know, thirty thirty five plus times per game. Uh. And David and Joke, who has seemingly been phased out of the offense in terms of targets as well. So I understand it personally. I wouldn't want to drop him.

But to understand if you know you want to pick up Jeff Hireman this week, or even a Vance McDonald like you did, Greg or even John who Smith who's on a touchdown streak. I have Kareem Hunt, Leonard Fournette, and the other body's back that I have is Aaron Jones, and I'm kind of stressed out about Aaron Jones. And for net, what would you guys go with over there? Yeah, I understand why this is such a tough call because the Pittsburgh Steelers have been one of the best teams against the

whole season long. And while Leonard Fournett got twenty nine touches last week, I love his usage in the passing game. He was targeted five times, called all five of those. His efficiency was terrible. He was under three guards for Carrie did not look that great in that regard. But we know he's going to get every single carried down near the goal line. So I didn't staying why it's a question, it's it's a better match up against the Seahawks.

Still not a great match up. Seahawks are more of the middle of the pack defense against the against the run this year. I'm gonna lean Leonard four Nette greg just because I think he's safer to get, you know, twenty plus touches in this game. But I understand why it's questioned. I think it's very very close. Yeah, it's it's tough because that Pittsburgh defense is really really good. They've really come on as this season has gone along. It makes it even against the past, like their defense

is back, they've gotten healthy, they've looked better. The Steelers allowed the third fewest fantasy points. The Seahawks are actually in the bottom half of teams allowing fantasy points of running backs as well. Todd Gurley went on last week, but he's Todd Gurley. Um, but I'm I'm gonna leave with Leonard Fournette just because the workload is a little bit safer. Anytime they get down into the gold line, you know that they're giving it to him. But it's

a close question. I like Aaron Jones a lot this week as well, like Aaron Jones as well. I can't make the move though, Um, you're gonna leave for my my my. My second question is I'm playing I'm the top guy in my division, but I'm playing the other guy that's topping his division, and he has Adam Steeling. I have Stefon Diggs, but I ended up picking up

Corey Davis this morning. I'm just wondering Corey Davis or digs Man, and we're gonna talk to uh, We're gonna talk to dr and tomorrow about Stefon Diggs to make sure he's healthy. But anytime he's out there, I know he's been a little bit boomer bust this here. There's been a few games where he'll give you a ton of receptions, not a lot of yards. But Stefon Diggs has that big upside as well. So if he plays, if he's healthy to go, I'm gonna use him over

Corey Davis. I know Corey Davis coming off the big game, big games, many target wise target Yeah, but the targets have been there old year for Corey Davis. Greg, we don't. We don't get fantasy points for targets. No, but maybe the offense just opening up a little bit. No that I think it's moving in the right direction. I'll take Stefon Diggs, okay as well?
