the forty Niners. You know, Greg, you would have thought that I was a fan of one of these teams. That's how excited I am for this game. Like, seriously, is that? Or just thought you can drink alcohol and eadian a little bit of ball, sure, but no, I am really really excited for this game as well, because we all know I'm never gonna get to see a Jet Super Bowl. Look, I've already accepted that it's never gonna happen. We're not gonna see dang Green playing into February. Definitely,

not as long as Adam Gates is there. I'll tell you that right now. But I'm very excited for this game, Greig. I think these are the two best teams, and I think there's a matchup that everybody is looking forward to. My pre postseason prediction was the Saints in the Chiefs, but you know what, I will settle for the Chiefs and forty nine. I think we're in for a good one here, Greggy. So I realized from the open I should wants say some voice lessons. You know it's properly

like speak. I mean we all should. Yeah. So, like I watched like the ring announcers in wrestling, like there was like hold their stomachs to make sure they're speaking the right way. What I they do these like long opens where I'm like talking very fast, like it hurts my stomach. I run in a breath, or when you're yelling I'm right right exactly. So that happens, and I realized it probably because I'm not taught. I'm not like speaking properly. You've had a voice coach that would that

Do you think before hickoff at do you think the line moves? I will say no. I think if it hasn't moved by now, Greg, it's not going to Which

way do you think it's gonna move? Then? I think it goes down to a point. So you think sand friend money is gonna come in? So I laid out these numbers on the Fantasy Football Frenzy in terms of where where the handle is coming in, where the bets are coming in, greg and and both the handle and the bets are on the Chiefs spread right now. And then I brought up how fifty of the bets are on San Franz money line, but sixty five percent of the money is on the Chief's money line. So I

don't know. We're gonna have to We're gonna have to see some either some substantial bets come in on the forty niners over the weekend. I know Mattress Mac put in a million dollar bid on the San Francisco forty Niners, or we'll have some very respected sports better is out there laying their money on the Chiefs in order to move this line. I don't think it's gonna happen. So I think what you just said the second part is what's gonna happen where you're gonna have people like Mattress Mac.

But why haven't they done it already? You know, if they were going to do it, like, why would they wait? It doesn't they're not getting it at a better line or anybe they will maybe gets in too, maybe it goes the other way there in their minds. I think based on where all the money and the bets have come in so far. If it was going to go to too, it would have happened already. Greg. So I think, and Jared Smith said these yesterday, that the sharp money comes in right away and then at the very end,

and everything else is just public money. He's just noise essentially. So the very beginning of the line comes out at the very end, and we haven't reached that end yet. There's I think again that's just a prediction, right. I think we see this line go a half a point. I think more money's gonna pour in on the Niners at some point, and I think it goes down to one. All right, So what did you see this game open up at? Because I saw it open up as a

pick them. I saw it. I feel like he said it wanted to have to be honest with you, Okay, I don't think i've seen it moving based on what

Jared said. I'm not saying he's wrong, but if that were actually the case, and the sharps were all on the forty Niners, then they would have hit that right away as soon as the line came out, And that means it would have they would have either favored the sand Fan if it opened as a pick them or again, there's so many different books, and you know, people open up line like you know, if the Chiefs actually opened as like a two or two and a half point favorite,

then maybe it did drop down. But for the most part, I saw it around a pick them or or in other books right around that one one and a half. Anyway, so you know, if the Sharps were on the forty niners right as soon as the line came out, then it would have either dropped back down to a pick them or in favor of the forty niners. I totally hear you, and that's that's fine, um, but you know it wouldn't surprise me. It would surprise me. But I'm gonna go on record saying no, I don't think the

spread changes. I think we're we're locked into one and a half one and a half, which means it should be a pretty good game, we hope. And that's what the Fandel and Drafting Sports Book, because I see other books that have this line at one but not We're we're able to bet in New Jersey legally with the draft Kings and Fandal Sports Book one and a half. three and a half. We've talked a lot this week that we like the over, both of us. You're get an extra point here. But does it worry you that this means that there's either money or very respected betters who are

coming in on the under. Does that worry you to see this kind of movement, you know, close to game time,

and again it could move even more by the time. Look, if you like the over right now it's moving down, so like over, you might as well just wait because by the time we get Sunday it might point down to you know, might move down to fifty three, fifty two and a half, fifty two, you never know, right moving that way right now, I think we already saw the extent of which it was going to move up right. It got as high as like fifty in some places, and now we're all the way back down to fifty

three and a half. So if you do like the over in this game, and based on the finals four score, predict that I gave out on the Fantasy Football Frenzy. I do like the over. It's not my strongest play on Sunday. But if you do like the over, then wait because I think this line is probably gonna drop a little bit. We said from the beginning that we were willing to kind of handicap this game today, and that's what I want to do, and we've alluded to it,

we've talked about it. But we both like the Chiefs in this game. Is that's still correct? I know gave is kind of changed his mind a bunch here, right, So did George Kurtz really George Kurtz When he gave out his pick for the Sports Grade page that are are Super Bowls page where you can see all of our expert picks and predictions, he gave out the forty Niners, and right now on the Fantasy Football Frenzy, George was on record saying he has switched his pick. He's on

the Chiefs. Now. Very interesting. Now, that's just back a million dollars on the Niners. So hasn't everything that that guy has been on not happened? The Astros didn't. But yeah, no, there was something else recently that he bet on I thought was I didn't see it right. It might have been I don't know, maybe it was like Cowboy Serrooni or something like that. I don't know. I'll look into it, but I'm pretty sure everything that he bets on does

not come true. I don't know if that's the case again this week, but he certainly has not been on the winning side yet, so we'll see what happens. Great people are people are wavering a little bit here there, They're switching sides. You are not standing strong with the Kansas City Chiefs, he says, the narrative of the narrative. But like my opinion of this game hasn't changed that.

I believe the Chiefs will get down early. I believe the San Francisco four Niners will open up the game throwing the football that Joe Buck and Troy would be like, Wow, this is what we expected with that would be a running football game, and the next thing you know, it's ten nothing Niners. Seriously, that's exactly what I expect. And then you see Patrick Mahomes and two plays make a ten ten we have we have Bucking Aikman. That's what

we have. Fuck Aikman. Chris Myers, Aaron Andrews, that's your crew, Fox Box. Yeah, So that is this narrative I have in my head. It and once the Chiefs start scoring, and they're going to score and no defense with championships, they're gonna score. I think they're gonna win. I really do. I feel very I guess confidence the right word. I

feel confident about you. As soon as this line came out, as soon as I saw both of these teams play on conference championships Sunday, which you know, if you watch both of those games, you actually might have come away from that with the San Francisco forty niners one more

decisively against the Green Bay Packers. But I think when you kind of look back on the way everything has played out this year, in this NFL season, uh, at this point in the season, I think the Tennessee Titans were actually the better team than the Green Bay Packers. So the Kansas City Chiefs got down in that game early against the Titans, and they fought back once again. They were down twenty four zip zip against Houston, Texas.

They fought back in that game. Here's what I'll say, Greg, I think this is not a game where the Chiefs can fall behind early like they have again other teams, because to me, if you fall behind early against San Franz, this is a team that can just run, run and run some more and they will run all over to you. And I think that Kyle Shanahan has kind of he's learned his lesson. Man. He learned from his mistake in that Super Bowl where he was coaching Atlanta where he

should have been running. And I think he's learned from that. He definitely had. I think that, you know, if you get down early in this game, m Kansas City Chiefs perspective. I understand the offense that they have, but again, this is probably also the best defense that they've faced, you know, during this uh, during this eight game winning streak. Maybe outside of the New England Patriots, but I think the

forty Niners defense is on par with the Patriots. I don't as a Chiefs backer, you do not want to see them get down early in this game. Greg, I really do believe that, well, aren't the Titans the same way though, that they could just run it and run. Its defense is way better than the Titans, definitely better. Definitely, Page is really freaking good. And that's why I like

the Chiefs in this game. That's why I don't personally I like them in this game because I don't think that they're going to get off to a slow sir, Like that's the narrative. I don't think the Chiefs will get off to a slow start in his game. Once again, I don't think that's all right. Well, continue to break this down what we expect to see on Sunday more before. They can't do what they did to Houston. They can't do what they did um to the Tennessee Titans. But my counter,

my response to that would be three Patriots Falcons. Kyle Shannon, the offensive coordinator, you have said he's learned from that. I do believe that what will change? What will you do differently? I think just being aggressive, right, and I think you know the personnel is obviously different, right, two completely different teams, the Atlanta Falcons with Matt Ryan and Julio Jones at the time at DeVante Freeman versus now

with the San Francisco forty Niners. You know, maybe you don't have have as much confidence as you do and a guy like Jimmy Garoppolo versus Matt Ryan, and you don't have that game breaking wide receiver here and Julio Jones, but you do have George Kittle who was a game breaking tight end. And you have playmakers all over the field at the wide receiver position, uh, Deebo Samuel who can make plays both as a receiver and as a as a runner. And then you have Emmanuel Sanders who

can also still make big plays. And then between that, you know, uh, that committee of raheemo shirt rita. Uh. And if Tevin Coleman suits up for this game, I think that he has enough. Greg I think he has enough here where you know, if he wants to put the pedal down here with the San Francisco forty Niners. Look, we saw it against the Packers. Is the chief defense and they're better than the Packers? Are they that much

better than the Packers defense? Well, we're gonna find out this weekend that you know, they both rank kind of, you know, in that middle of the pack this year, the Kansas City Chiefs, and they've played much better recently. But what the forty Niners did two weeks ago, was they were up against the Packers and they never let up. They kept scoring points throughout the entirety of that game, causing turnovers short fields. And I don't know that the

Chiefs are gonna turn the ball over. I think that will be a little bit more careful than the Packers were in that game. But you saw that aggressiveness in Kyle Shanahan in that game against the Packers. I think

he has learned from his mistakes in the past. Craig, and I'm telling you right now, as a Chiefs backer, you do not want to see them go down ten fourteen points early on in this game because that will allow the forty nine to pin their ears back send those pass rushers after Are they gonna do that anyway?

So the thing is they developed pressure without blitzing, right, But you know, if you're in passing situations, if you're down fourteen, seventeen, two scores, whatever it might be, two three scores, then they could send even more pressure your way and they can blitz you. And obviously we know causing pressure can make even you know, the best quarterback.

Look pedestrian, Look you're New York Giants won the Super Bowl against Tom Brady doing just that, getting up in his face, causing pressure packing my home amazing this year while being pressured. Uh fifth best adjusted completion percentage, second best NFL passer rating while being pressured this year. What everyone's human, man, I'm telling you, get up in his face. Thinks can change a little bit. Um. As a Chiefs backer, you do not want to see them down early in

this game. I really I believe that, Greg. Well, obviously you don't want to see them down early, of course, but you almost have the confidence though, right, like seeing the Chiefs doing two games in a rowse games were different. That was the Texans defense. That was the Titans defense. Defense is different than those teams. Let me ask you this, She's get down early and nothing, it's nothing. You like the cheefs. You told me, correct, right, you're on the chefs.

Are you not betting them money line? That? Of course? I am, okay, because I still game. I still yes. No, I mean because at that point you're getting great value. Greg, A game that opened up with them as a minus one money line. If they go down fourteen zip, you're gonna get them at you know, plus two hundred at that point. So just based on the value, I would do it, but I wouldn't feel as great doing it

this week against the forty niners. Like dude, against the Texans once you saw the Chiefs score two touchdowns and it's at that point you're like they're winning this game and you had no palms about it, Like you're not worried about the Texans at that point. I'm just here to say that, like, yes, I would still bet it in game, just from a value perspective. Are you not going to watch the game in Jersey? What do you what do you get into watch the game with my

with my family like I do every year? Got it? YEA? Being able to will when it will keep keep your PEP, your phone close, keep it, keep it by your side, and we'll see what happens. We'll see what happens. Though obviously being able to bet in game, uh is just a huge advantage. Right, Like you ask yourself, why would

you even bet before the game starts? Because if the Chiefs get off, if they go down a touchdown or whatever field goal, whatever it might be, you're gonna get their money line at even even money or at plus money. Right there, you know, one of the first drives of the games. So, um, you can do both. You bet on the Chiefs and you can bet in game. But all I'm saying is that the forty Niners are a different beast. That's the moral of the story here, Greg.

All right, So it's the first Super Bowl for both Patrick Mahomes and Jimmy Garoppolo. I've said a lot on the program. I think Jimmy g comes out throwing. I think this Niners team comes out launching the ball. I'm excited to see it. Patrick Mahomes his first Super Bowl, Andy Read his first super Bowl in a very long time, Right, second super Bowl that Andy Reid is going to be the head coach in. And it's been a very very long time since he had Donald mcnam and Terrell Owens

starting for the Philadelphi Eagles. Were Donald mcnamath threw up like that, this is Andy Read's second chance at this and you read very good off a bye week, which is what he pans for both guys, really himself. Yeah, that's a good point. Also, everyone blames Shannahan for losing that Super Bowl. I don't live it. Shanahan, I blamed and Quinn I blame the offense. I don't know that Shannahan's fault. I mean, I think has ten people eight or nine are gonna say, oh, yeah, it was Cash's fault.

Is it because he coached the defense that allowed all the points? You're right about that, You're right about that. But his offense scored plenty of Looks, you run the ball in that second half, you win the game. Greg, you know there's no doubt about it. I'm sorry, I can't run the clock. I can't kill him for that. All right, Look, maybe you're in the minority. Then I'm telling you minority of people are going to kill Shanahan. I'm not saying everything that he did was perfect. It's

a redemption for both guys. Definitely. I'm agreeing with that. Oh right, how many times have we said this when you were up early, you're off going in the second half, three, don't just sit on your heels. We'll just run the ball, go three and I'll get the ball back. And you don't gave a chance and you have to ram up the offense again. He stayed aggressive. We always but that's what the Chiefs did as well against the Tennessee Titans. They're up by ten points and next thing you know,

Sammy Watkins touchdown. Whatever it was, there's gonna be people on both sides of the coin. I'm not saying that I feel that way about Sanahan for you. I think both guys are to blame. I'm like, the defense was bad too, Christian was something up schematically if you're Dan Quinn, right, yeah, so I think both guys are blame. But the deserative coming out of that game was like, oh, Kyle Sharon should have been running the ball. What are you doing,

you idiot? Absolutely, if he scores, you know, if he scores a fifty yr touched on Julio Jones and they win that game because he's aggressive, then they're saying that they're painted a different picture. He's genius. He's an offensive pedal on the metal to the medal. Yeah. Yeah, so it's a redemption for both guys that she was a

long way to get me pedal to the metal. I think it's like inside of a car is a metal built that you know, because where's the metal here, like the bottom of the car, right, like where the pedal goes down to the bottom of the car. Obviously, the Andy Reid trends are you know, they speak for themselves coming off a by to have extra time in this game twenty three and four straight up and eighteen and nine against the spread. All time after a regular season or postseason by since joining the Chiefs, Andy Reid is seven and three straight up and six and four in these situations, six and four against the spread in these situations. So that's a narrative that people have brought up before. But it does ring true both

from you know, a straight up and ats perspective. Andy Reid has been great in his Chiefs career, in his chill, his career, all time together as a coach, when you give this man extra time to prepare, and then obviously on the defensive side of things, Greg your boy Steve Spagnola, who devised one of the best defensive game plans of all time going up against the New England Patriots, now has two weeks to prepare for a great, great offensive scheme that Kyle Shanahan runs where he can kill you

on the ground where his receivers are seemingly always wide open. He can You know this, This offense is almost like, uh, I'm trying to think of what the term is, something involving thousand knives or something. I don't know, whatever it is, Swiss army knife. I'll looking up during the break. I swear that there's a saying like that, something like that. But he can rug. There's so many different ways that

this forty niner's offense can beat you. So it's gonna be interesting to see, you know what he thinks of Steves Fagnolo thinks up as a defensive game plan, and you know how Kyle Shanahan kind of counteracts that because I'm sure he's gonna do something different than we've seen all year, which you're predicting is Jimmy Garoppolo being more aggressive and throwing the ball. Absolutely. Absolutely, Now you imagine Spagnolo.

He's really interesting career for Spags, of course. Uh. He was Andy Reid's uh defensive backs coach and linebackers coach and in the secondary for years in Philadelphia. Eventually came over to the Giants in their defensive Coordinat's where he made his name for himself. Began the head coach of the rams um as a feldst in their fine went to the Saints, he was their defensive coordinator and it was like bad, like he had fired for one year, it was awful. Went to Baltimore, was like a senior

defensive assistant, uh, a secondary coach. Eventually came back to the Giants, whare he had success against defensive coordinator back in the New York market in term of head coach for a little bit after they fired been McAdoo spent the year out of the league last year and and here pulls him back in makes the defensive coordinator and like all Spags defense is the Chief's defense has gotten better as the season has gone on. That's a good

way now. Look everything that's going on with Kobe, but even before that, Lakers were up there in terms of favorites, even before that. But now you have like that extra added motivation, and it's just an extra storyline amongst you know, there's gonna be a ton of storylines that come and go throughout the course of the NBA season and as we get further and further into the postseason. For the NBA. But this is the one that everything this NBA season

is going to be revolving around. Is Kobe Bryant, the great, one of the greatest, maybe the greatest Los Angeles Laker of all time. Uh you know, kind of having his his spirit behind the Lakers here and I'm sure that they will dedicate the rest of the season to him as well.
