There's a lot to talk about. Where

do we even begin? We have an Odell Beckham spanking Jessica Mendoza, comments about whistle blowers, Carlos Beltrn is out as the Mets manager. You want to argue with me about Nolan Arronado NBA injuries, there's NFL d f s. Where do you want to start? Creig? Where do I want to start? I feel like we should just jump right in. Okay, I'd like to know how you slept. You don't mind. I've been sleeping very well. How about you? Any nightmares last night? Did you dream about here? I

didn't dream about working. Then something else and I will go and that was weird. But no, I didn't dream at work, which was nice the first time in a while. Party buddy, you made it, so hold on, I'm sending this email that slept well. Did you go to sleep early? It's been a little bit late, so you didn't get a lot of really dumb because my final you know, I am to get into something right because you want to start whatever you want. Man, I gotta like this

really dumb. The fight last night with Judy, Yeah, really dumb, and like we talked about this morning and I was like how it made this bee like the most important fights to us in our world. Right at your wedding, it was one of your vows you said that you never go to sleep angry at each other. Didn't didn't Just making sure it was following up, making sure that you didn't break your vows, you know, three months in her, two months in to your marriage before we went to bed. Okay,

there's the number's argument. You can never It's like a typical married a couple of argument. Were you arguing over who to put in your DFS line? Uh? That took place two days earlier? All right, as you saw both lineups and then choose you. Well, I'm definitely I'm definitely writing you out to FanDuel Exelent Part two man win a million dollars? Not nice too, just the BF contest, you know? Yeah? Great? Um, So we're packing. I'm leaving Florida tonight. As you know, I'm going nine thirty flight

this evening. Yeah, update everybody, Greg's something will not be on the show tomorrow. Annound the yesterday. You know, I asked the yesterday. You probably could have predict that. But don't worry. We have a great guest for you tomorrow, Cliffhanger. Oh I know it is, but that sounds great. Um. So we're packing for Florida and we love a bunch of clothes at my mom So we have to repack it right like we bring it, and we have to like fly my tuxedo down and just fly dressed down.

So like one of our bags is like just like a government bad when you put that stuff. Right, So that's one of our carry on and I you know me, Frank, maybe you don't. I don't want to check my luggage. It's like a waste of time. So I like to stuff my luggage and like a smaller piece of luggage and you just put it in the over head. Right, you're gonna be there for three days. You should be able to yes, to make it work in the little one,

no issue. Yeah, the problem is we left some clothes there, so we haven't even less to take in our carry on this time. But I gotta bring in all that stuff home with me this time, right, So she left a couple of dresses. I left the cold bathing suits, the stuff that you gotta fit it. She wanted to try to fit both of our stuff and the stuff we had in Florida into the same carry on and like it fits now when we put the stuff back into my mom like I have, like, it's not gonna work,

it's not gonna wear. No, I don't think we should do that. It's like what do you wanna do? Why don't we just bring like two carriers like we always do? Does she get that angry that quickly? Because that's how you always kind of portray Judy. Okay, so telling it right now, currently emailing Judy, that's fine. I gotta hear what said about you. This this happened. So I wanted to bring the two carry on because, and of course I admittedly escalated. I was like, I told you this

would never work. Why couldn't you just listen to me? What is it always it to be your way? Because I'm right, you know. So you're smiling about this, but at the time she's like, actually angry. So she's like, you didn't even realize that the tuxedo is counted as a carry on. And I'm like, you're right, I did it. That's but why are we taking two bags? Why are we trying to squish it in here? It's just stupid.

It's not stupid. I can imagine Judy getting more angry at the time because you're probably just laughing about it. You're like, look, I was right. You're probably just like messing around, like, yeah, like it's not a big deal. Look at me. I'm just laughing about it. I just like right, I told you, Okay, you're right right, right, because then when we tried to do it, so then we try so then we have two bags right through the two carry ons. Then we have the tuxedo bag.

That's three. You get four total, two overheads and one underneath the seat in front of you right with me. So I'm like, all right, juice, well I'm bringing my backpack. You can't bring your back like I have, like my my bag. I need my bag. What do you need your back for my stuff? That go? I need my backpack. She's trying to take your under the seat thing because we have it's not fair because the tuxedo dress counts as one. There's not only one of us getting under

the seat thing. You with me? Sure? Uh yeah, you probably should sacrifice it. Greg, I lost that one. Yeah, I can see why. Yeah, I think and I have this longstanding thing where it's kind of a joke but not really where in hindsight, whenever we realize that I'm right, I'm just like, why don't you just always listen to me? You always? And she's like, yeah, just kind of. We also have done this thing on the flights now where when we booked the flight. We booked one aisle in

one window. So the hope is that nobody will choose to sit in the middle and between us, and if they do, then we can always switch. But it's also like a written rule like Judy's. Obviously the want switching. I'm not going in the middle with me. Why do you do that? So hopefully nobody sits in the middle of us. It's not soldout flight. The middle seats are always wants to go last. You want it next to somebody.

You're just not gonna do a kangar together. You're obviously not sitting in the middle of us, So why don't you just sit one of you in the middle of one of you in the aisle, Because the middle of the worst seat. So we can have the window seat and an aisle seat, and that means nobody sits in the middle. There's a better chance of a single person. They've had this. There's three seats, right, you're by yourself, You're flying somewhere by yourself. What seat would you choose? Okay, agree,

the aisle was taken. What would you choose? Probably the window? Correct the window, So my thought is the least desirable, see that someone would choose is the middle. Someone's going to choose the middle necessarily. Why wouldn't you guys just choose this together. We can always switch because nobody wants the middle. But it's easier than if you have her in the middle and you on the aisle. Right, it's still easy for one of you, Like if you have to sit in the middle of it's still easier to

get up and go to the back. There's a better chance, but there's a better chance nobody sits there. Somebody will take the window seat, but it might not take the middles. Lights have gone out. Indeed, for Carlos Beltron on the New York Mets, his managerial stint lasted longer than Whally Backman as l John out as a manager of the New York Mats, he said this over twe of my twenty years in the game, I've always taken pride of being a leader and doing things the right way. In this situation, they failed. Thanks Carlos, as a veteran player,

he really said, Yeah, it's insane. What As a veteran player on the team, I should have recognized the severity of the issue and surely regret the actions that were taken. I'm a man of faith and integrity, and what's took place did not demonstrate those characteristics that are so very important to my family. I'm very sorry. It's not who I am as a father, a husband of team, and as an a as an educator. The Mets organization and I mutually agreed to part ways, moving forward for the

greater good with no further distractions. I know that at some point in game, what's the point in time? All the opportunity to return to this game, and I love so much there's more of an ethical question, Greg, But how can you realistically with a straight face, say that I am a man of faith and integrity knowing that you did what you did? Come on, man, I understand. Look, everyone makes mistakes. But this is similar to when you read the response from Jeff Luna right as this whole

opening paragraph. But how sorry he is first sentence of the second paragraph. I am not a cheater, So then what are you, Jeff lu Now, So on, man, you can't be both. So I think you can. Actually I

think you can. So he's not a cheater. So I think that stealing signs has been around forever, right, and I think that it's cheating, Like not right, it's one of those one of those things was written rules of baseball, Like he don't you're allowed to do it as all you don't get caught doing the type of thing, right, not with technology or does that just like not make it different for you? Like, oh, they're still just stealing signs. That's part of the game, you know. But they took

it to the next level. And right, there might be other teams doing it, but they weren't the team that was caught. They weren't the team that was under investigator. You're You're absolutely right, and I think that Jeff Luno turned to blind eye. Aja Hans obviously turned a blind eye. Carlos Beltron and Alex Cora try makes them just as guilty as the rest of them. I don't disagree with you. Carlos Beltron and Alex Cora do whatever they could to get an advantage, and I think all teams do what

they can to get an advantage. Well, they took it too far with the literally the garbage can, the whole thing. It was too much. And Carlos Peltron was at the forefront of trying to get an advantage, which I'm sure he has tried to do his entire career and simply utilized the advantages that were out there for him. He

is wrong. I do blame him, but when I'm sure in his twenty year baseball career he's been brought up this way, He's always trying to find the advantage, right, and and that's all these baseball players probably do that try to figure try to find the advantage. And it sounds like it was Alex Cora that like figured this out with the technology, and Carlos Peltron kind of was the ringleader and making sure we all it all happened, and A J. Hinch knew about it. It was like,

don't tell me about it. Jeff Luno knew about it and said, don't tell me about it. And that sounds like it's what happened here. So I think that it's wrong. I don't know, this is gonna be an odd steaming. But I don't know if those guys I knew how wrong it was, because I think in their minds it may have just been simply like, you know what, we're trying to get an advantage of the game. We're trying to steal signs. Were stealing signs are forever in baseball.

We've taken to another level. And I don't know if they realized how wrong that was. What if they know that other teams are doing it, so at the time they didn't think that it was that bad. So just to play off what you're saying. So I think that all then reminds you of my fires right, because ivery if everybody's doing it, you don't say anything, and it's

a written rule. Mike fires what remember the Astros World Series winning team comes out and says that he was that this this has opening and then the MLB had no choice but to investigating. It wasn't just an anonymous tip. Mike Fires putting his name on this as a former player of this team, and I was trying to make a whistle sound. He blew the whistle, blew the whistle. So ultimately they had a choice but to investigate, and investigate they did. Now was Mike Fire's right to come forward.

We'll discuss that after you hear what Jessica Mendoza had to say on Golik and Window and ESPN Radio this morning, because she as an advisor to the meds and involved in this Carlos beltrail and stuff, she had this opinion like Fires leaving the Astros, going to another team and then going public with this. Going public, yeah, I mean

I get it. If you're if you're with the Oakland A's and you're on another team, I mean, heck, yeah, you better be telling your teammates look, hey, heads up if you hear some noises when you're pitching, like this is what's going on for sure. But to go public, yeah, that it didn't sit so well with me, and honestly it made me sad for the sport that that's how

this all found out. I mean, this wasn't something that MLB naturally investigated or that even other teams complained about because they naturally heard about and then investigations happened, but that it came from within. It was a player that was a part of it, that benefited from it during the regular season when he was a part of that team, and and that when I first heard about it, It's just it hits you like any teammate would, right, It's

it's something that you don't do. I totally get telling your future teammates, helping them when letting people know, but to go public with it and call them out and start all of this, it's it's hard to swallow. So so that was just gonna knows on goal like a window. Earlier this morning, she got a ton of heat for it on social media as those comments went viral, and then she had to say follow it up. I thought it was important to clarify my earlier remarks about the

sign stealing situation. Most importantly, I feel strongly that the game of baseball will benefit greatly because the science stealing matter was uncovered. Che in the game is something that needs to be addressed. I'm happy to see that the leaves taking appropriate action. What a I have been much more clear on was was this. I believe it's very critical that this news has made public. I simply disagree with the manner in which it was done. I credit

my Fires was tapping forward. Yet I feel like going directly through your team and MLB first could have been a better way to surface the information. Reasonable minds can disagree. Ultimately, what matters most is the observations were made public and the game will be better for it. Regards to the Mets, I want to make it extra clear that my advisor role with team does not shape my opinion in any way, shape or form this matter. I feel this way regardless

of what teams, player or managers are involved. Seems like she changed your mind a bit there, Frank, Yeah, she had to say face a little bit. How Greg put out a little pr statement there. Does seem that she went from hating my Fires for being a whistle blower too well, he should have been a whistle blower. You should have just told MLB or told his team, and they should have handled it. You you don't go to the media. You always go to the media. That's how

things get done. That's what she just did, isn't it. She went on the show to give her opinion about it, exactly what she did, right, So I have a few thoughts in this, and then we'll just get into whether or not the Mets were kind of wronged in this situation. Um, I want to put myself in the shoes of what she's saying here, right, trying to play devil's advocate. And the analogy that I came up with was, Greg, if your best friend was cheating on his wife and you

knew about it, would you broadcasting on Facebook? Would you tweet it out? Would you reveal it to everybody? Or would you say to your best friend, hey man, what you're doing is wrong. We should probably stop doing this and try and figure it out that way. So that's how I tried to rationalize it. I do think about it like that he kind of did wrong. His teammates did he He did extly, So I don't know there's a fair comparison like cheating on your wife and your

your buddy it's doing. It's a different scenario, right, Like what would you reveal it to other people? Or would you just tell him like, dude, you gotta stop or at least come clean to your wife. Well, of course you first would talk to the team. You don't know that, like Fires didn't talk to his teammates, right, you don't. You don't know that Justin Verlander, who gave killed this morning like he's Mr Anti cheater, anti staeroid all this stuff. Did he says something to his team. He's been eerily

silent about this whole thing. It wasn't even on the team in wasn't he was seventeen in the World Series. He was like he was traded mid season to that team in the middle that was late though he was there for he basically arrived on August thirty one. But so who knows how much he do? This continued on, It was like stopped. So has he where where is he?

He's always the night and shining armor in this So I think, yes, Fire has probably had an obligation to go to his team first and say something that cut it out, like this isn't a good look, this is you shouldn't do this. Maybe he did. I don't know, but I don't think the comparison like she and your wife and telling people like this is illegal in baseball. What you do or what your buddy would do, and she did his wife. I think that's personal to him

and his family and his personal life. Baseball Players don't run around telling you who cheating on their wives and whatnot, because a lot a lot of these baseball players knew. Quite frankly, that's why this is cheating in the game. A better example would be got steroids, right, Like if I was on the Astros and I went to the A's and then I came out and was like, hey, every member the Astros taking steroids, like I watched them

do it. That's a good example. And then that happen during the steroid ever really until they were forced into it by the Mitchell Report. So that kind of makes sense. And I wonder if she would have said it that way, it would have made it a little bit different where the Mets wronged here, Greg, play that a little bit, but come up, let's chat with Virginia Zakis. It's inside injuries with Virginia Zakis, who's here to help us out. And I hope our fantasy basketball teams out because Frank, it seems like I misread an injury. Yeah, I look at too good in terms of Jamal Murray. We picked up Monty Morris. It's looking good in terms of Jamal Murray. That's the issue. That is the issue.

You're correct last night, Virginia Jamal Murray. And actually, excuse me, Virginia, how are you? I'm doing well? How are you guys doing you? Are you back at work? Hard? Just back? How about that? That means the knee must be doing pretty well, Virginia, he's getting better very slowly. We're right, all right. So Jamal Murray last night badly sprains his ankle. He left the game. I was reading reports on Twitter.

He's gonna be out for like a few weeks. Monty Morris is gonna start all you know, it will be fine, and you all store breaking, all right, cool, Frank. We got Jamal Murray out for the next month. Monty Morris starts for the next month. We have put some some waiver waiver dollars all this guy. I picked him up in all of my leaves and he was upgraded today, Virginia from out to a game time decision. Let's go

to Jamal Murray. So, I think this is one of those injuries that may look a little worse than it actually is. UM. I still think he's gonna miss some time negative, but I expect him to undergo an m R. I haven't seen any official reports on that, UM, but you know it didn't look good. UM, so no reason not to get an m R. I just to make sure there's no ligament tears or something more serious going on. But our algorithm is considering this a grade to left

ankle spring. UM. Which is a more moderate spring. That means we don't think he'll be fully recovered for another four weeks, so until mid February. UM. I suspect he won't actually miss four weeks, maybe a week or two, depending on how severe it actually is. UM, but it's going to take take a lot longer than that for his ankle to fully recover. UM. You have to be carried off the floor. Wasn't putting much much weight on his ankle. UM. Obviously, he's a high injury risk. Definitely

should not play any time in the next week or two. UM. So I think it's a little crazy that they're not already ruling him out. UM, but you know, it could be a little gamesmanship who knows, but not too concerned that he's gonna miss an extended period of time. But could be a few weeks, all right, So maybe we get a few weeks for injury. You don't bad k, you don't do that, Virginia. I want to ask you

about Joel embiid. We all saw either last week or two weeks ago, the image of Joel beads finger basically going the wrong way. That was quite disturbing to look at, and we just had news earlier today that he will be cleared for He was cleared for non contact work and will be reevaluated in roughly one week. What do you guys have regarding the timeline of joy and Bead. When can we expect him back? Uh in producing to the level we expect him to YEA. So this was

obviously a nasty looking injury. Um, he ended up having surgery to repair torn radio collateral ligament and that left ring finger. Um, we're showing a three week optimal recovery time. Now, he's not going to be a dent in three weeks, but due to his position, Um, you know, he's not an outside shooter, he's not really a ball handler. That all is going to help here. It's also his off hand. So we actually think he can return and play well

in three weeks. We're showing a healthy to return date around January thirty one, and based on all the news we're hearing so far, it seems like he's sort of right on track for that. He could return a little bit sooner. Um, if he returns in the next week or so, I think his finger is still gonna affect him. It's still going to be pretty painful. Um, why still gonna be wearing you know, a splint, probably not a cast or anything, but some sort of a brace on

that finger, which could affect him a little bit. Um, But you know, by the end of the month, I think he should be pretty much good to go Alright, so that sounds relatively positive, right, Yeah, a week or two here on Joel Embi back. Obviously you used a first round pick on him, so uh, if you did that, you need him back as soon as possible. But I want to make sure. Yeah he's so let's get back on the court. So Joel embiid coming back elatively soon,

which is good news for emmad owners. But what about Paul George owners? They Clippers have been playing without Paul George for the last few games, and they get the Clippers, they're they're not trying to win January. They're trying to win in June and win an NBA champage hips. Like taking things slowly with Kauai, they're taking things slowly with

Paul George. Actually hurt is Paul George. Yeah, so he's been dealing with this hamstring issue for a couple of weeks now, Um, he actually missed a game back on January four, they called it hamstring tightness. Only missed one game then, Um, he's now missed three straight games and it's actually been called a strain. So unfortunately, I think this is one of those scenarios where you know, he tried to mistress one game with some tightness in his hamstring and he made the injury works by trying to

play through it. Um. We're now showing that he needs to sit until roughly the middle of next week, so this can fully heal. If he does that should be good to go. UM, but you know if he returns in the next few you know, for their next game or two, UM, he's going to be a high injury risk. His health performance factor is also still in that below average category. UM. It's just tough to play through these

hamstring strains. It affects explosiveness. UM. Anytime he goes to jump and push off of that leg or accelerate, he's going to put a lot of stress on that hamstring and could easily aggravate it. So I'm hoping they're cautious here because this is an issue that's been going on for a few weeks. UM, and he sits a few more games and then hopefully next week he's good to go alright, so coming back next week he should be right.

I guess I thought it was the playoffs. Paul georgers probably fly, it's not, so let's let this hamstring rest so he gets healthy. Yeah, it's just frustrating from a season long fantasy perspective. A lot of teams are being very cautious with their superstar player. Is we've heard over and over about load management, a lot of players not playing on the second night of back to backs. Uh, So I assume that that's what the Clippers are doing here.

They're just being overly cautious when it comes to Paul George. A team that is being cautious about one of their superstar players is the Washington Wizards and John Wall. So a couple of days ago, I looked into the most added players in my fantasy basketball league and I noticed that John Wall was on the list. That means people are getting excited about picking up John Wall because there is a chance that he will return this season. He tore his achilles Virginia. What is that chance actually at?

Is there is it a possibility that John Wall actually returns this year? And is I don't know percent of the player he used to be. Yeah, I think it's all premature right now to think that John Wall is going to return anytime soon. UM. He had surgery to repair that torn achilles UM just just under a year ago, I believe, UM. And shortly before that he had that heel injury that he had surgery on. It was a

debree mint procedure UM, also addressing some chronic Achilles tendon issues. UM. So when you take into account the two surgeries, I just twelve months is not enough time for him to fully recover. UM. We're putting his optimal recovery time at around thirteen months. UM. It's roughly eleven to twelve months just for a torn achilles. But given that he also had that heal injury before UM and has this history of issues with that leg, it's a little bit longer

for him. UM. And then you know, we talked about this all the time, when guys are out over a year, just because they hit their optimore recovery time for that injury, that doesn't mean that the rest of their body is caught up and ready to go. So his healthy to return date UM, just looking at his achilles is in mid February, but it's going to take him some more time to work on his um conditioning, make sure his strength is backup to normal UM and all of that.

So so far he's participated in some drills three on three UM, nothing five on five yet, and I'd like to see him get in at least a few weeks of contact, you know, full practices before he returns, make sure he really is ready to go. So ideally, medically, I think it's best if he stays out until around March, and that's if he doesn't have any setbacks in the next month or two. Right the people who are adding John Wall right now, it seems overly optimistic. Obviously, coming

off those two surgeries. You don't know what type of player he's going to be. There's gonna he's gonna have to shake off some rust. He's gonna have to get back in terms of conditioning as well. So maybe you stash him in the deeper league on your I R no harm, no foul, But if you need one of those roster spots, you just gotta be able to get rid of John Wall at the drop of a diet.

I told you we talk about Ian and tell you I was talking to the guys last night of the switch Show, and it just makes sense too and pick up John Wall right now, because he has so much time before he's coming back. It's just simply not worth it to waste a roster spot on John Wall. At the point we're talking Virginia Zakis here, all of inside injuries. Somebody that certainly is worth wasting a roster spot on. He is Victor Oladipo, who is expected to be back

with his Pacers team in two weeks. Will he be good to go full throttle into weeks Virginia when he does make his return, Yeah, So I don't think he's gonna be you know, acent the vic rolode. But we saw last year before his injury, but I think he should be pretty close. Um. He suffered a ruptured right quad tendon, which is a pretty serious injury. UM, more severe than you know, something like a torn a c L.

It's a tougher recovery, a longer recovery. UM, just takes a lot more time to really get back to normal. But he did just reach his optimal recovery time. Um. Again, I think he needs a few more weeks to you know, participate in contact drills at practice. UM, continue to work on his strength, conditioning, all of that same thing we just mentioned. UM. But you know, I think he's actually

in pretty good shape. He's going to remain a high injury risk for the next couple of months, but his health performance factor is already in that above average category again because he has reached his optimal recovery time. So I think he seems right on track. UM. Targeting a return on January twenty nine, That seems realistic. UM. I do hope that they sort of manage his minutes in the first few games back, make sure he doesn't deal

with too much soreness or tightness in his legs. UM. But you know, I think they've handled all of this well, and Uh, I think he could have a good final few months of the season. Right. Looking pretty good there for Victor Oladipo. I'm sure the Pacers will be somewhat cautious with him as well. Reginia, I want to ask you about Drew Holliday, who's dealing with an elbow slash left triceps train right now. What's going on with Drew Holiday and when should we expect him back? UM, So

I've seen that he could be ready to return this weekend. Um, he's out for today's game. He did say his elbows feeling better, but he still hasn't done too much at practice yet. So and still until he can get to practice practice a few days, make sure his elbow is feeling okay, he's shooting okay. UM, I don't think we're going to see him out there, So we are showing a three week optimal recovery time for him, which means a healthier return date around January. UM, so a little

over a week away. Because of that, he's still a high injury risk and his health performance factor is below average. But if he doesn't play until middle to late next week, he'll get back into that above average category. UM. And I don't think that this is something that should really linger or continue to cause problems. Um. Once he hits that healthy er at on date. What'ginia from Inside Injuries Virginia, just a couple of moments here with you. I want

to go out to Toronto where Evans. He's been so good for this Raptors team and they've been piecing it together and piecing it together and piecing it together.
