You're listening to the Fantasy Sports Radio Network. Yeah, now that's welcome, bab. Your host Friday from Man five died from say Francis Frank, stand ball, ladies and tell me in your ps and with that we will get you inside Studio thirty four. This he's the BFFs year all the Fantasy at Sports Network. I am Greg Susman. Frank Stamford too hungover from last night's NBA Draft coverage. He has the day off, so joining me as he does each and every Friday. BFF Mike Floria, what's happening to Florida?

What's up? Greggy? How was how was your NBA Draft coverage last night? And I have to ask it's Frank actually too hungover because that would be two drafts that he has worked the next day because he was too hungover. To be fair, He's not. He was fine going home last night. It's King's birthday tomorrow, so he took the day off today. They're going to the Yankee game tonight, so Yester the day a while back before we even knew we were doing the draft coverage. So he's actually

good to go. Um And I don't know why you're asking me. You you should have been watching our draft coverage. Not that you know, you just want to support your BFFs. It was the BF Draft show. It was pretty good. Well, I I will have to go back and check it out. I apologize I was watching the actual draft. I was pretty excited that Nick Scott the maple Mamba. I mean, have you heard of a cooler nickname in sports, because I don't think I have. The white Mambo really worked

for me. It's like James Paxson and Kobe and one the big maple Mamba are Jay Barrett. There you go. It was good. It was a good job. We had a really fun time here at Versa. And you know, I'm I'm I'm excited that people watched It seems like from the reaction that we've gotten, people have enjoyed it, which is really cool. Um, So you know, I'm really really happy with how the coverage went and Frank with a well deserved day off. It was a good show

last night. That's awesome, man. And I'm I'm pretty I know, like you could see I at the nixt head on Gregy you know him a nick time. I'm happy with the pick. Yeah, I wanted Zion, but r J. Barrett is not a bad consolation price. He's not and I felt like it was ultimately wasn't meant to be with Zia Williamson. The had a fourteen percent chance of getting him. RJ. Barrett works out, and remember he's the number one player coming in to college last year. Winds up at number three.

We'll take that. R J. Barrett very well could be the best player in that draft. We hope for Florio. It is a waiver wire Friday, and over the last couple of weeks, we haven't had major players on the waiver wire to talk about right like, there was nobody we're spending money on. I have a feeling that's going to change this week, specifically with Zach Gallan. You and Frankie haven't hyped about this dude for a while. Now

he gets called up. He makes his first MLB start last night against St. Louis, and why it wasn't Jimmy Yamamoto stats. He was still pretty good in his five innings. A word, do you throw nine and night pitches in five innings? But overall pretty good? How desperate should people be to go add Jack Gallant all the way over wire? I think he's the big fish to pick up this week. No pun intended, because he's in Marlin. Last night's outing, I know, we wish he would have went a little

bit deeper into the game, but six k's ten swinging strikes. Uh, he sat between like ninety two around ninety two miles per hour. It was maxing out a little bit over you like to see that, although I will say I've been reading in recent days some stuff like there was a scout I wish I remembered who tweeted it out, but it was a quote from a scout that said, up until the start of this year, I was the highest guy on Zack Gallen, and I was telling the

rest of the world they need to catch up to me. Now. The rest of the world has surpassed me, he said. He was like the hype on Zack Gallen. He thinks had even has climbed out of control and is is higher than what Allen can live up to. So maybe we are doing that. Maybe we are over hyping a prospect too much. But he is the big arm right now to pick up. There's not This is the arm we've been waiting for. I'm not sure you know when we're gonna see the forest wit leaves of the world

and stuff. He is the big prospect to pick up right now, and I would be picking him up, especially because his spot in the rotation could be safer than we had envisioned. A uh, Jose Urena had just been placed on the sixty d d L, so he's gonna be out awhile it's gonna be coming down to him and Jordan Yamamoto for who gets that spot. But if you're the Marlins, what do you have to lose by not giving Zach Gallen every opportunity the rest of the way?

Do you know that? For like a week's I've been calling Jordan Yallomoto Jimmy Yallomoto because jimm yakobonus my superstar

pitcher on the Baltimore Orioles. No matter what I do, I keep saying Jimmy Yallamoto and every repeatedly, I cannot like figure out the difference between Yallmamoona and Yakobonus and do it like one's one's terrible in your defense, I mean they're like when do you get that names that similar that are that like you know, not coming, but like the difference is one of them are horrible, one

of them like aren't good. The reason I like Jimmy Yakobonas is I saw him pitch against the Yankees on an opening day of the day after and his and his um all speech stuff is like moving was like, Wow, this guy is good. He's he's not spoiler alert, he's he's very very bad. Jordan Yallmomoto not very bad. And with Urania and Pablo Lopez out for a significant period of time, it looks like Yallomoto and Zach Gallen both going to get opportunities I think long term in this rotation.

And if that's the case, who would you rather have Gallant or Yallomoto And how much of their budget that you have left are you spending on these guys, I'd rather go after Gallen. I think the upside is a lot higher. Y'allmomota has been pitching well, but like he got the Cardinals the other day, and I don't want to and that's who Gallant got to. I don't want to discredit that, but the Cardinals have been one of the worst offensive teams in June. I just think the

upside is a little bit higher with Gallen. I think if you're trying to trade him, you'll be getting more in return for Gallan, So I think I would be spending up on him. I wrote before his start yesterday that I think I would be aggressive and try to spend fifteen if you're in need of pitching, uh in a home league, if you're not his desperate for a pitch, or maybe ten to fifteen percent. But I don't think

we should discredit Gallen. You know where just a month ago we're telling you to blow it all on these other top prospects. He's the top pitching prospect right now. And if you are in need of pitching, I think you gotta, you know, break out the budget and spend whatever you like, a percentage of whatever you got left I'm saying fifteen. Yeah, I think when it comes to some of these Marlins, guys were just like, oh, he's a Marlin, he's never gonna win. But the Marlins in

our best best forever. I've been pounding them because they're They're pitching staff all season long has been better than people think. And it's gonna take a while. With this Jeter rebuild, I think ultimately will work because pitching is there and Zach Gallen certainly seems to be for real. Jimmy Yellow Jimmy said, he what's it again? Jordan Yamamoto um has had two really good starts. I'm interested in

what he does Sunday against Philadelphia. But through these first couple of starts, the Miami's talent that is getting called up, it's been very, very good. Let me read you the line from Zack gwen last night, as he would five innings, allowed five hits, one run, two walk, six strike, as did throw uh those night and nine pitches, but he fared well in his debut. The Marlins actually one seven

to six in extra innings. Is Andrew Miller allows the game tying or the game winning to run home run to J. T. Riddle in the eleventh the Cardinals and everything they could to come back against Sergio Romo was not to be, as Romo got his thirteen save this season. You mentioned the Cardinals Mikey have been struggling. We talked a little bit about that on yesterday's show. Why are the Cardinals so bad right now? I wish I could tell you, man, they got a ton of talent in

that lineup. And I have a lot of these guys for fantasy. I don't have any Goldie, believe it or not, but I have a Zuna in a couple of leaks, I have too young, I have some Matt carpent heres. So like I would like these guys to get going. I think there's too much talent there for them not to.

But when it comes to like a player like Paul gold Smith, like someone the other day asked me if they should be buying gold Schmidt or not, and I said, in a redraft, yes, because he's still hitting the ball hard, he's still lifting the ball. I would expect the home runs too to come in bunches, and I think he'll be okay. But in like a redraft or I'm sorry, in a keeper or a dynasty I'm not. He is

starting to show the signs of decline. In my opinion, the strikeout rate is up, swinging strikeout rate is up. I believe the chase rate is up. And to me though, and he's not stealing at all. He does not have his stolen base this year. So like with with gold Schmidt, I think it's a little bit of unlucky plus a little bit of declining. With the other guys, I'm not as shure. I think, like Paul de Young, was just playing over his head those first couple of months, and

now we're seeing the natural regression. I know think he's as good as he was early on. I don't think he's as bad as he is now, and I think that happened with a lot of these players. But I expect much better results out of them, as I think

everyone does. We talked about Goldie yesterday and whether this is like the decline phase for gold Schmidt or ultimately he'll turn it around, and Frank seems to be more on the side of he'll turn it around, be honest with you, kind of looking at some of the stats from last year and what he was able to do. We'll see the Cardinals don't have a single hitter right now.

Adding over. The thing about Goldie though, is what always like not saying he was a stolen base player, like that's why you drafted him, But the thing that always differentiated him from those other top first basement and the reason why he was always the number one for so long was the stolen basis because you don't get any out of most first basement. And that went from thirty two and sixteen to eighteen and seventeen to seven last year to zero so far this year. This is not

the same Paul Goldschman. I agree with Frank where I think he ultimately will turn it around, But I also think at what is he? I believe he's thirty. He's thirty one years old right now, soon to be thirty two. I do think we are starting to see the decline of Paul Goldschman. All Right, I've waited about thirteen minutes here. Mike Mr Quality Greater signed quantity Rich Hill as a strained flexor muscle in his elbow. He's going to miss like the next two months in hopes to return this season.

As Frank would say if he were here, Rich Hill gonna Rich Hill, Yeah, and I could say rich Hill gonna Rich Hill when he's healthy. Man, do you, Nelly, have you seen how great rich Hill has been since when he's been pitching, But he's never healthy to First of all, this injury is unlike anything we've ever seen out of rich Hill the last few years. It's always a blister. It's always a two or three weeks shelf thing. And I'm perfectly fine living with those. And I've been

fine living with those for the last few years. I always say, he's gonna give me a hundred and thirty innings, but I'm getting him outside the top ten rounds. So if he gives me a hundred and thirty innings of ace like ball and that's what he was doing. I know it was only fifty three innings this year, but two point five five r RA over ten case per nine.

I mean, the guy had just been tremendous and using this strategy, Greggy, I have shares of the best picture on the planet hingin Ryou, who everyone said coming into this year couldn't stay healthy. Well, he has stayed healthy and he is the n l C A young right now, sure, but we're not talking about read at the moment. We're talking about. You can't. You can't pinpoint one specific player in the strategy is my whole thing? Like Rich Hill is like your poster boy dude, Like, oh, we got

a hundred and thirty innings from Rich Hill. I'm fine quality, greater sign quantity. Dude, pitch fifty innings this year and he could be done for the year. I don't. I read as of yesterday, three to four weeks and then he's beginning a throwing program. I hope to be able to pitch again this season. Definitely don't have an answer when, but I expect to be back great. Greggy. I'm telling me, man, I've had Rich Hill. He's going on my DL spot. I'm not dropping him. He's oh my god, yeah, I

have to. I have my I have I L spots a lot like so I just lost him and Pablo Lopez this week. That's an easy decision as to which one I'm gonna keep and which one I'm gonna cut. Rich Hill. It's amazing. He probably still own Alice would do, don't you. I don't think I do. But he's throwing again, Greggy, I own him in my draft and holds because I can't drop him there. Would you pick up Alex Wood this week? No, he's not. I would wait until he gets closer, because who knows he could suffer a setback.

All right, but let me be serious with rich Hill going on the I l a major question that Dodgers fans and fantasy fans have a like is who who is replacing him in the rotation? And Julio, you asked at the start last night was great. Pitched three innings and look brilliantly against the San Francisco Giants. I get it was the Giants, but he looked really, really good. Ross Stripling also came in and he did his thing

as well last night for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Um Stripling loud, three runs, all unearned, pitched a couple of innings. They're gonna have to find a way to replace rich Hill over the next month or two at least. If you're picking up somebody off the waiver wire, Stripling Urias neither. What's the plan here? I think if you're in a league where if you miss out, I would go with

Urius first. I think his upside is higher. I think the fact that they let him start the game yesterday and and while the UH runs to Strippling were unearned. Urius did pitch better than Strippling. UH. I think his upside is just higher. But I'm telling people I've been putting on my Patreon page. I'm gonna talk about on my podcast today. If you missed out on Urius, I'm

taking the shot on Strippling. This has been something I've been preaching all year with these Dodgers pictures, UH, mostly in draft season because they've surprisingly stayed healthy this year. But I kept saying at a hill Reu, my Ada, Strippling, Urius.

I wasn't sure when exactly they were going to get their starts, but I was confident at some point in the year each one would be healthy and have a turn through the rotation, a little bit of a stay in the rotation, because this is just what the Dodges do, Like, I would not be surprised if we see a Ryou Phantom I L Stints at some point, or Mayata or

even a Kershaw like. I don't think there's any of their pictures that they wouldn't put on the I L. And if that's gonna be the case Eurius and Stripling, we saw last year when these guys start, they have a ton of upside and in the leagues where I lost rich Hill, like in one of them the other day, Greggy, I just I picked up Curious and if he doesn't get the start a bit on stripling and hope that he's the one who gets it. But that's my plan.

Like whever I lost rich Hill, I'm just trying to pick up Curious and just keep it moving, keep kicking the can down the curb with these arms that I can trust to to not hurt my ratios and to get me a ton of strikeouts. And on the Dodgers, they're also going to be getting a lot of wins. It's the reason why I love all the Dodgers pictures so much, because they won't give you the quantity of innings that that I know you love, Greggy. But when

they go out there, man, they are always. They're all all seven of them are worthy of being in your your rotation anytime they take them ount. Yeah, Hulu, you definitely somebody that for all the reasons you mentioned, being with the Dodgers getting the winds, how he pitches, somebody want to pick up three innings forty five pitches last night? If we could get up to let's say sixty pitches next time out throughout the summer, he could be valuable.

The Dodgers wanted to limited his innings anyway. Getting him now, we get him for a lot of the summer where he has the potential to extend himself. It could be good. So Curious over stripling, that's correct. I think so, just because I think the upside is a little higher. But to put it in perspective, I think Curious could be like a Chris Paddock type picture, like he's that good, but he's just there's the pitch limit, the inning limit and everything. It's gonna make it a little bit frustrating

at times. And hopefully the frustrating period is already over. I know the reason I was able to get Curious is because the people who drafted him ended up cutting him. So this is now the time, I think, where you want to get back into Urius and hopefully he can give you some Chris Paddock production. And by what I mean by that is when they do allow him to pitch, he's gonna be very very good for your fantasy team. Alright, So Lulo Urius worth the pickup, Go out and get

him Chris Paddock like upside. Speaking of Chris Paddock, he's returning to the Mound this weekend for San Diego. Things look good for Paddock. Things looking up Hulu Urius as well. We are going to take a break when we come back, Michael Florio. We're gonna discuss some of these other guys that you don't want to pick up the waiver wire, some of the lesser known guys at the higher price prospects. We also have to talk about who did drop right.

You're picking up Curious and you're picking up Zac Gallant, You're picking up Jordan's Yamamoto. You gotta drop people. Were you most comfortable dropping? We're gonna let you know. Yet if I'm the Pelicans, I actually wouldn't.

Yes they get along, and yes they played together, but I think they're both too big for the same court here at the NBA, I think you're almost better off getting a player that will really compliments sign better than having two sort of future stars on the court getting in each other's way. Frankly, Mike, it's it's in the kind of nice just having it and me for once like a throwback. Is it was like what frank would always a wave you away, you and I would just hang out in mad fun of him back.

I know it reminds me. I know I mentioned it earlier, but it reminds me of the day after the NFL Draft that year and we just kind of the two of us hung overly, just made fun of frank for most of the hour. Yeah, that was a disaster. That was a straight up disaster. Um, you know, Frankie doing his thing, taking the day off. He'll be back here on Monday. Now, Mike, I mentioned before that if you're figuring out these guys, you have to be able to drop some players. So I want to throw some names

out at you. This is what people are asking about insenter YouTube chat, on Twitter, so on and so forth. Let me start out with Clint Fraser of the Yankees, Aaron Judge officially being activated today, Cameron Mayban staying in the majors, and I spoke to me about spoke to Frank about this off the air. And if you read a lot of quotes regarding Clint Frasier being sent down this past weekend and Karen Mayban winding up staying in the majors, now this week, there's no love lost Clint

Fraser and he sent down. There's no one coming to his defense. Nobody's saying he's a great teammate, he helps on us. We love him, he'll be back. We can't wait. We'll miss him, Cameron. Maybe it's like, oh, Mane the stud was born of a pinch stripes. He's the heart of our team, he's the soul. And I'm like, they hate Cliff Fraser like these he has no friends on this team. And when he said, it's been hard for me to Josh, it's been hard for me to fit in.

I think he's a douche. I think that's what it is. And there's zero love laws by his teammates, and I wonder, not wonder, like the Yankees are going to trade this guy at the right opportunity presents itself. But as a fantasy owner, do you wait for that to happen? I think you try your best, I really do. I mean this guy like, I agree with you, Greggy. I don't think he deserves to get sent down. It was nothing

he did. It's just the Yankees are too stacked offensively, and I totally understand why he would not be cool with that, and and he'd have an issue with that. It's costing him money. It's costing him a large portion of his career being on the Yankees, because if he was on another team, he'd probably be up for a couple of years by now already. But I just I do feel for him a little bit. But I agree with you. Everything about this kid says that he's immature,

and he kind of does seem like a douche. But as for fantasy purposes, he was very effective when he was healthy, so I would try my best. The trading deadline is just a month away. We know a lot of traits happened earlier in July than that, so I would try my best to hold onto him because I do think the Yankees he's going to be a big piece in the trade for his starting pitcher, and whenever he gets traded, I think he will play right away like he has nothing left to prove in the minor leagues. Yeah.

He hit a moonshot last night in trivle A also hit a long double as well. He showed up finally he did. He wounded up showing up. Yes, So the Fraser can hit. That's not the issue. It's personality, um, and it's his fielding. The worst fielder in the majors this year. They're playing a lot in center field as a way to showcase him. We'll see what happens. You're

holding on a Clint Fraser if possible. I'm trying my best, Yeah, because the upside we know is is and especially since I don't know if you agree, Greggy, I feel like this is more of a starting pitcher waiver wire week, and typically I don't wanna I mean, I get it. If you need the pitching, you sometimes have to drop a hitter. But there's no hitter right now. I think on the waiver wire that has higher upside than Clint

Frasier as I look at the waiver wire. So the other names I wrote down here, Chris Taylor, who's gonna be play? Who's playing for Corey Seeger, Brendan Rodgers go to play? Given Trevor's story being out for the next month or so, um Ray Solaire owned about leagues? Any of those names interesting or Solaire is under criminally under owned. I feel like I think people are too quick to write this guy off as a bust. He he was

once a former top prospect. Then he's matching the ball, hitting for power at the very least this year, so I think he is very under own. Brendan Rodgers is interesting, man, because I want Brendan Rodgers to be a thing. If you remember, I was very high on him. I believe in his skill set, I believe in that corpse lineup, and obviously I want to exposure to course field. But at the same time, like they're so inconsistent with how they use a young players. I understand that now it's

a shortstop. It's different. Ryan McMahon can't play short and Garrett Hampson hasn't done anything this year to win back time. So I expect Brendan Rodgers to get a lot of opportunity, and I would be wanting to pick him up. But that's a close one him and Clint Fraser, I think right now. Actually though, I lean Rodgers because he should get the opportunity for the next month or so, Brendan Rodgers is going to have a chance here to be

successful with the Rockies playing in Colorado. Daniel Murphy, David Donald, do you guys have turned it around after early season struggles? Whether Rogers struggle in his first taste of the Major but didn't necessarily get the playing time consistently prove what he could do. If he was dropping your league's I would rather have him than Clint Frasier. Maybe it's because he's in the majors, but yeah, I would okay with that. Yeah,

I'm okay with that. Okay, other players that I gotta ask you about dropping Hunter Pence has been fantastic this year, and I know he says leave that quickly from the IL, but as a guy that's pretty old in his leap thirties. I don't know that you can trust that. Are you holding on a Hunter Pens are dropping him? I think you could drop him. Willie Calhoun is back and still

playing well. Remember when Calhoun came up, we thought Pence would be the one that would lose out on playing time, and and I kept waiting for the other shoe to fall with Pence. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but I mean, like you said, this guy is very old. He had never played like this. He hasn't been good in years. I love the career resurgence for him going to Texas, but ultimately, this is a team still competing

right now. But I still think they're gonna try to get Willy Calhoun in there as much as possible, and I think it will come at the expense of Hunter Pence. Alright, So Willie Calhoun Joey Yallow both going to play for Texas. Ultimately, that means Hunter Pence could wind up being the odd band out for the Rangers. Floria says, you can drop him if necessary. Here you talk about wanting you to drop pictures for pictures, Yamamoto gallon the two top pictures

out there also Abert as Alai. I want to throw that out there before we continue. What should fantasy owners know about him? So last night he did pitch well. Granted it was against the Mets, and I mean anyone could probably pitch well against the Mets right now. But he went four plus innings, started to get into a little bit of trouble when he They tried to stretch him to let him go the ninth yesterday, but he only left one run. He had five k's but only

six swinging strikes. That don't love that. And I don't know if maybe I'm reading into this a little too much. This worried me a little bit. He was sitting at ninety four point six miles per hour and maxed out at ninety five point nine. And I remember, I think it was last year, maybe the year before. You know, Sarah's did like a study on pictures who throw close to their max velocity and how it usually leads to

them getting injured. More So, maybe I'm just reading into that a little bit too much, But that worried me. It's tad. I am excited about advert but to put him into perspective with these other young pictures, I would have Gallan one, I'd have Logan Allen ahead of him. I'd also have Julio Erias ahead of him. We haven't mentioned Logan Alan yet. And it's worth mentioning the hashtag one that dollar bet Logan Allan, John Cena making that bet and Logan Allen pitched well in his MLB debut

for San Diego. Did not have a good season thus far in the PCL, but Alan came up pitched very well in his first start. He's number two for you after Zach Gallen. Hell come, I just think Zach Gallan's upside what we've seen him through throughout the minor leagues. I I think there's more upside there than with a Logan Alan. And but great story with Alan. What you said with the John Cena bed, I mean that was that was awesome to see Sena there watching him pitch,

and Alan pitch very well. And I picked him up in a home league for four bucks out of a hundred. Also picked up Urius for three bucks out of a hundred there, so that puts it into perspective. I did have a backup bid on I'm gonna I'm gonna butcher his name probably, but I'll call him advert because also is a little a little bit of a tongue tie. But I had a two dollar bid in on him as a backup to those other guys to put it into perspective. All right, So that's kind of the idea.

But Florio, you said that when you're picking up pictures, you ideally want to drop pictures. Potentially the top picture that I've gotten asked about dropping here this week was that strong, and that's drom him off the I L wasn't a good spun. Colorado Uh predictively didn't go well. What do you think about dropping match strom Uh? For for Gallen or Curious or Logan Allen, I'm okay doing it, but I think after that I would hold match strom Uh. He he's a solid picture, like I. I get it.

It was Colorado in Milwaukee that really did blow up his last two outings, But in between the before getting hurt and before and in between that first really terrible start he made, he was pitching well for a significant stretch of the season. So for any of those other guys who I think I've higher upside, I'm okay with it.

But other than that, I'm probably sitting tight and holding Match drom alright, match Drom a solid, spectacular member of your fantasy rotation, so consider keeping strong obviously if you can. I mentioned last week I dropped Chris Archer. That felt great. I don't regret that. So if you still own him, you're the same cool. Yeah, I'm I wrote a couple of weeks ago, like, yeah, I'm cutting it with Chris

Archer feels like it feels awesome. I didn't have him anywhere, luckily, but this was the first year in a few years where I was on board taking a shot on him. But the only thing was greggy. I was getting, you know, my my quality arms over him, like guys like Rich Hill prevented me from getting a Chris Archer. Yeah, so Chris Archer belongs on the waiver wire, But who does

he belong there with. Let me give you a couple of other pictures that we liked a lot this season, and we have gone back and forth on that's the bull Specier turn Ball. We'll start there with Detroit. We still own him in a league, Mike, Uh, is it time to take about it? The ball? Uh? To me, this is a very format dependent picture, like I mean, league size dependent picture, like us we own him in a fifteen team league, and I think that's worth noting.

But in like a twelve team league, I I understand if you want to drop him. He hasn't been pitching great as of late, and I believe it is the Cleveland in and that he always struggles against, which is a little bit strange. But I would still be trying to hold onto the bowl if you can. I mean, his ear raight right now is three to seven, which is significantly like that's almost that's over a full run below league average. Last I looked, and the expit at

four point five three. That's not great, but that's just a little bit a bubble average. As of the other day, league average was four point four one, So he's a league average picture giving you eight case per nine, and right now the results have been better. So I think, yeah, like Zach Gallen is out there and Turnbull is your most jobable picture. I'm okay taking the upside shot on Gallen.

But you know, other than like hammer Urea is these top high upside arms, he's a lot like strong, like I'm gonna hold turn Bull would really have that strong special Turnbull Spencer Turnbull. Okay, next name on my list. Martin Perege, who was really really good at the joining Minnesota's rotation early in April. He hasn't been good. He's last few starts, though, has the magic run out from Team Perez. I'm afraid of that, but I still don't want to drop him. I own him in a draft

in whole league, so I don't have this problem. That's the only league I have him in. Unfortunately, I dropped him those first two weeks. If you remember the Twins went four man rotation, I had to drop him in those leagues. I'm still kicking myself a little bit. He's been good, man. He's been a lot like Spencer turnable in the sense of almost a strikeout per inning, but not quite there yet. Uh. The ear a is a little over four and the xpit is four point three two.

I know in a normal year those marks might not look good, but I think we need to reevaluate the way we look at pictures. Like Mark Martine Perez right now is pitching as a little bit above average league pictures, So I do think there is a spot for him in in fantasy. More of a deeper league guy if you're in a ten team league. Yeah, he shouldn't be owned twelve team he's very fringey, but like fourteen fifteen team leagues, I think that is the sweet spot. That's

where he's useful. So here's my issue in Martine Perez. I know you read the stats, but when five in a loud to is over six hits, okay, fine after that. So all of June and two and two thirds six runs allowed, four and two thirds five runs allowed. June eleven, five innings, four runs allowed. Last week against Kansas City six and two thirds five runs allowed. That's a really bad month. And Martine Perez, to me, isn't it good enough picture that you suffer through this terrible nous to

see what comes down on the other side. That's just me though. Yeah. No, if this recent stretch has turned you off, like again, I'm okay dropping him for Gallon for yours and Logan Allen as well. Like I think those guys have higher upside. I think they're pitching better right now, so I'm okay with doing that. But it's when we get to the fringe of your arms after like these higher upside young pictures where there's a lot of guys who you're probably been recycled on multiple teams

this year. At that point in time, after seeing as a whole what we've seen from Martine Perez this year, I'd probably be more inclined to hold him. Holding on to Martine Perez rightly gets some of the hitters that I thought would be worth driving. And name a couple in Clint Fraser and Hunter Pence. Here. Uh, there's two more that I have on my lesson. I'll go out

to you, Mike Gregory Polanco. I know Florida Frank has been vehemently against dropping him because he remember woul happened last year where he dropped him and he went on the second half tear. How do you feel about dropping him now? Gregory Polanco is this guy that I feel like every year we have this discussion he can be dropped or not, like literally every year. And right now I'm looking at what he's doing, Like the k rate is up, the walks aren't great at seven point two.

There's just there's not a whole lot to love with Polanco and what he's doing right now. And the hard hit rate thirty eight point five on fan Graphs, it's not bad. That's about league average fly ball rate. Is up a little bit. It's down from last year, but still a little bit higher than league average, so you'd like to see that. But Gregory Polanco is one of these fringy roster guys. To me, if you are holding him, I think the reason is what Frank said, because of

what we've seen from him in the past. But there's really nothing he has done this year that warrants you giving him a longer leash. Okay, so accordin to you, Florio, Gregory polancod you go man, a very very fringy rostery guy, like you don't have to hold him. I don't think. Okay, fair enough, you don't have to hold Gregory Polanco. What about some of it was hot, very very hot about a month ago. And that's Derek Dietrich. What do you

think about him? I would not want to drop Derek scot Is coming back, but I'm a sucker for Derrek Dietrich. I bought in earlier this year and it's been a fun ride. But my thing is, like you look at the Red's lineup right, and like a guy like Jose Peraza is giving them nothing, absolutely nothing this year. So we've seen Dietrich play some first some second, some corner out field. I have a feeling when Scooter Jannette comes back, he's going to become a super utility man. I'm hoping

they get creative. Maybe try to throw like Nick Senzel or Suarez, guys who have a little bit of a background playing shortstop. Maybe throw them at shortstop and just say forget about defense. We're just gonna try and outmash opponents. And it's something thing that more and more teams in the MLB are doing like today. I don't know if you've seen the Mets line up yet, Greggy, it's probably the worst defensive outfield in baseball. It's Dominic Smith and left,

Michael CONFORDO and center, and Jeff mcneillen right. But it's their three best offensive bats right now. And they're doing that. And the Dodgers are talking about having Jack Peterson played first base, something he has never done in his professional career in the minors or in the majors. But if they do that, it allows them to put Munthsy at second and keep verdo Go in the lineup when Pollock returns.

So more and more teams are are doing this where they're playing people out of position just to get their best bats in the lineup, and I'm I'm hoping the Reds do that, and if they don't, I also think Derek Dietrich is a prime trade candidate, and if they trade him, I think there's a good chance he goes to a team when he gets to play every day. All Right, A couple of deep league players I wanted to ask you about here, Um Florio, and that is

two old veterans that don't exactly especially excitement. These are frank type of guys, Mike Leak and Tommy Malone and interested. Yeah. I talked about them on my podcast last week. They're more deeper league options. Tommy Malone has been pitching well,

but Tommy Malone is who we think he is. A Tommy Malone, Yeah, yeah, Like Tommy Malone is capable of going on stretches where you think Tommy Malone is like he once upon a time had hype and you think like, oh, maybe he could finally be a post hype sleeper living up to it, and then Tommy Malone reminds the world of who he is. The same thing with Mike Leak.

I think these are hot stretches. I'm using Mike leak in my tout war Straft and hold this week because I have some starting pitcher injuries that I needed to replace. But I ultimately think they're more deeper league options. I don't think in a twelve team league you want to be starting either one of those guys. I agree. I don't feel safe Flora. By the way, and to say is that loud? Joe the Mustache just said, if Chris Ventro we're an offensive major league I feel like I'd

be Derek Teacher. What is that like like when every once in a while is going to hit a home run for you? You know what? I don't even know what it means. I don't want to know, but I just me laugh. Joe and a Mustache is gonna be my podcast yesterday. Greggy, that's awesome, so we'll plug that. Flores's podcast guest, Joe Mustache have a good show. I'll check it out. Florio, we're gonna take our final break.

I want to get into some of the two star pitchers for next week, go over some of the stuff that stood out to both of us last night, and we'll get to the Jason Stark should be a question of the week. All that and more the final twenty minutes the f S I had great results. I lost seventy pounds by way to sixty five and went down to my doctor told me, if it works for you, then do it. how would you lose the weight? I said, I take Andrew four hundred every day, and I'm gonna take it forever. That was Walt talking about Andrew four hundred. Now listen to what Bob has to say. When you listen to your radio commercials, you say that's not possible. But since I've experienced it, your commercials aren't strong enough. I am seventy and I've had a belly for way too long. How much Friday editions happen not to all the game Rentsard hold on, this is under songs. It will not be at my wedding, which for the record, playing out glory, what's up? Look what songs are going to be played at your wedding? I would say they were ideally popular music, but I'll get a fight with

all parents about this. So I'm guessing there's gonna be a ton of Dave Matthews. There will not be a ton of Dave Matthews. You can't really dance to Dave Matthews. You could, you could. Sway, I'm playing music, you can't dance to it my wedding. I don't care. You think that, and then you're not. Me and Nicolete have already said, like, there's a few songs were definitely playing that most people aren't going to get and we don't care. But that's fine.

That's a few songs. I don't want any songs that I don't want and that's the that's the issue that I have a fight with my future in laws. Okay, yeah, I have I haven't barely scratched the surface when it comes to wedding planning. I've just thought about music that will be playing and like still like I thought about like music and food. Kind of sure those are the most important things. Yeah, that's it. I believe me. That's I agree. All right, you're ready for the Jayson Stark

tip A question of the week? I am. I feel like it's gonna be harder though with just me guessing, unless you're gonna play. I don't know the I don't know the answer, Okay, cool, I don't actually know if he's revealed the answer yet, so you might be just doing this and I'll find the answer out later. Here we go, and when in Chronosi, you know my guy has hit three hundred and two home runs the start

of eleven. That makes him one of five active players with hit at least three hundred home runs over any nine years span in their career. Can you name the other four? Can I start off by saying, I don't like this question already? Why I don't? It's it's I thought it was gonna be like since two th that's obviously not with this. Yeah, and any nine years spent woman against MIGGI. Yeah, maybe he's the first one obviously comes to mind. Who holds? Does Joji Batista count as

being active? No, Trouts probably done it, right, Yeah, I would imagine so. And Trud's done in like seven years? Well its Trump been around for nine years though, was over any nine years span? I mean, I don't know. He has been around nine years. It probably doesn't count. He debuted in twenty twelve, right, yeah, so it probably doesn't count. Okay, but we got we got two of them. How many is their total? Four? I would guess Ryan Braun. Ryan Broun is a good one. Ryan is a very

good one. Fail you're on fire right now? And then I would also guess Chris Davis. I don't know that Chris. Has he done it? Has he done it long enough? Carloston, you've done right for nine years? Yeah? I think so? When when was he Mike Staining? I don't know. I don't know, Yeah, I don't. I don't think he's tweeted out the answer yet. Uh he has not. That's frestrating all you all. I'm trying to think of is old guys who used to be good. It makes sense that

that's kind of the it's not a great question this week. Yeah, I don't love this week. And also anytime you go with stuff like this like Pooh, Hols and Migie are automatically two of the answers. Yes, definitely. By the way, I just saw this on Twitter. A couple of notes for you. Your boy Tires Battle signed a undraut the free agent contract Minnesota. He's not gonna make it in the league. He's gonna be Do you remember c J. Fair? Of course, I think that's who tis Battle kind of

is what about you know that he's Johnny Flynn. Johnny Flynn man. I had such high hopes for Johnny Flynn. Did I should have looked this up myself. But did Brissette from Cus get drafted? YEA? Who who Brissette? I don't know. I'm not sure. Probably not. He was like projected, but these guys still go out early, man like Shamori Ponds. I know Frank loves him for some reason. He texted me the other day like, all like they should draft him, and I said to him, I said, this guy is

very undersized. He wasn't projected to get drafted last year and heard his stock coming back. But Frank I saw him today saying they should sign him like he very much still it wants Ponds and I get it, he's a New York guy. But a lot of these guys, man, I don't know they hurt their value by leaving early or if like they just would be delaying the inevitable of not getting drafted. But you always hate to see

a guy leave early and then not get drafted. And then the other piece of information shams Terry Harris, the brother of Toby Harris, who finished his college career in North Carolina A and t playing Smarly for the six years. Do you think that's a coincidence, Floria, Toby being Tobias Toby being Tobias. Yes, okay, no, not a coincidence at all. It's like when a baseball team drafts their stars like younger brother in like the twentieth round, or when the

Knick signed Chris Harris because they wanted to resign. Yeah, I was like Chris Smith when they wanted to resign Jr. Smith. That was the most fun Nick summer ever. The Smith brothers is doing whatever they wanted. It's great summer. Mike Greggy, Greggy Greggy, can I just like I have the Knicks head on. But everything has gone wrong. Man, everything it sucks. I was, you know, I was so boon in that this was gonna be the year that changes things. That's

what happens, Floria. We always buy and it never changes. Ever, this is what we deal with or Nick fans like, if this was any other team where Kevin Durant was going to he doesn't get hurt, the Warriors probably win the championship, and then he rides off into that team in the sunsetting. But it's the Knicks, right. I'm glad you're finally understanding that this works. The Knicks probably cost the Warriors to three Nicks. Oh man, all right, let's go back to baseball here. Let's go to the two

start pitchers for next week. There are four guys that are out there in most nays I have written down that I wanted to ask you about. Let me start with Cleveland's Adam Pluco facing Kansas City at home, and then he's in Baltimore. The matchups, all right, is the picture right. I'm a little bit scared by that in Baltimore start because in Baltimore we know balls could leave the yard quickly. But I like these two matchups. I

think there's a lot of strikeout upside here. I'm okay riding him out, alright, So Adam Pluco you're okay with I'm gonna tell you I'm gonna drop on Saturday or Sunday whenever Bred at his next start is, I'm gonna drop him for Adam Plutka. I don't love Pluco the most of the pictures you wrote down, though you do not. That's exciting. Who knew you like the best? I think Brad Keller this week at Cleveland and at Toronto, like I don't fear being neither of those ballparks as much

as I do fear being in Baltimore. Plus, those are two teams that I know the Indians have kind of been hot as of late, but there's still not the most fearful lineup in the world. And then the Blue Jays just strike out a ton. So I would ride with Brad Keller the highest of the four on this list, alright. So Keller's the highest. I don't love Brad Keller because I don't think he's very good. So Brad Keller not gonna make my top list. I like Pluco a little

bit more. The other names of the list, Trevor Richards and Chris Bassett. Richards has the toughest matchup, that's probably the best picture out of these guys. He's home for both of his starts Division matchups, Washington and Philadelphia. Bassett on the road for both starts in St. Louis in L A l A. Playing a lot better as of late, Bassett not exactly pitching great as of late. What do

you think of those two guys? Bassett is basically you could I think you could write him down five and two thirds three in runs like that's what he's done extra out place that my I didn't realize this until yesterday. A buddy of mine text me and was like, why can Chris Bassett never get the last out in the sixth innings? And then I looked and I was like, Wow, this guy really like I used to call it the Jake oder Rizzi five and two thirds, I think we

should start calling it the Chris Bassett. But he I did look at his game looks today when I saw you wrote him down, Greggy, and I noticed, my god, he's just crazy. If yeah right, and if I remember correctly, if you have in front of you. It's one start all year where he's allowed more than three AR runs. I don't you know, because I only have the E R A. I don't have got it. I'll just gonna get your game one second. Um, So we're talking about three earned runs one start all year he's allowed more

than three earned run that's correct. His last week starts five and two thirds all three of them, Oh my god, a ton of them or three year in runs Like this guy is not he does not have a high ceiling. But you if you pick him up six starts exactly three yearned runs. Yeah, like you're picking him up for that floor, hoping you get five and two thirds of three yearned runs against the car way, that you get

that extra out this time is what you're playing for. Um, Mike, is there any other two star pictures that I didn't necessarily see that you want to grab? Uh? No, so one, it's not one that you can grab Greggy, but it's one that I'm debating trusting. It's more about can you if you have this guy, can you trust him? And it's Marco Gonzalez. I want to ask your opinion. At Milwaukee, at Houston, there's no way I could use this got

a chance in health Floria a chance. And so my next question, because I've been debating this in the league, should I drop him then or is this a case of it's just two of the hardest matchups it could be you can have. Yeah, some of those younger pictures are still out there, the guys we were talking about

earlier on. I have no problem dropping Marco Gonzalez. I'm not like fearful the mark of Gonzalez gonna go on some tear, like he's gonna be an average starting pitcher, you know, I like, he's never gonna strike anybody out. So does it does it change? So does the league scoring? In this if you get it's a points league, but you get five points for quality, like we flipped the

quality to be worth more than wins. So that's the reason I've been holding onto him because six innings at three and runs is kind of like the Marco Gonzalez Special. But he's been struggling lately and I'm kind of getting close to dropping him and Mark Gonzalez. I'm fine with that. I'm certainly not starting this week. You need to drop if you need the dropping for one of the guys that we named. That's fine. Yeah, I think that's what

I'm gonna do. Like, I almost pulled the trigger the other day, and I said, let me, let me think about it, but no one picked up any of the Like Logan Allen is Zach Gallant's own, but Logan Allen is out there. I believe Julio Eureus is out there, and I'm like, I should probably take an upside just there for those guys. You know, That's what I'm thinking too.

I think I'm gonna end up pulling that trigger. Okay, a couple of notes before we wrap up and get to our best Best Forever, which you're gonna be a part of today. Floria Carlos Correa not expected to be back until after the All Star Rak for Houston, so that's a rough go for his fantasy owners. We mentioned Rich Hill Aaron Judge, make sure you activate him. He is back tonight for the New York Yankees. He has

been activated. That's super excited. Uh. In last night's awesome A's Raise game between Charlie Morton and Frankie Mantas, it lived off to the expectations, so both closures blew it. Yeah, I'm Blake Charlon hasn't been pitching well, but I think he'll be okay. Uh, Diego Castillo, Man, the Rays have to be one of these teams shopping for a closer right now, right I soon they are. They were on Kimber,

We know that. Yeah, Like I imagine they're gonna there's gonna be a number of closers trade Like Luke Jackson's gonna lose his job. I've I own him, and I've already accepted that. Diego Castio, I think if I owned him, I'm probably accepting that he's at one soon going to lose his job. I didn't want to ask you a question, Greggy. You've mentioned having Judge. Have you you followed the Yankees obviously a lot closer than most like have. Have they

said what their everyday lineup is gonna be once Judges back? Yeah, the thought the the order of the lineup. Yeah, no, they have not. But the kind of assumption is that Judges fit right back into the two hole. But and then where does Void job? Because I know Void's been hitting second and I X because the hitter I own more than anyone this year's Edwin and Carnacion. Yeah. So Um, I don't want him to hit seven. That's my fear.

So I think it's possible, which is crazy because I think I don't think Void josh a little bit of seven, given that he's been hitting too. Like to me, you'll probably have Avoid hit three or four and Gary, uh, we'll hit five. You're gonna have to have Hicks in there as a lefty or a switch hitter. So unless they really snack those righties, I think you're gonna see

Eddie hit six or seven. But I think it's gonna be, you know, honestly a few and our days between when you get that Yankees death lineup if you will, with Stanton, Judge, Sanchez and Carnassion and Void like I don't I don't know if they all play together all the time, so

I don't know. It's I'm also very worried as and I think you should be worried as an Incarnacion or Luke Void owner that they are going to lose some playing time based on what you said, Like they're gonna give days where Stantons the d H. You're gonna have days where Judges the d H, I think, and one Avoid and Incarnacion is gonna have to sit and I've accepted that as an Incarnacion owner. I do think though for him, he makes up for it. Now he's in a better ball park, a much better line up, he'll

make up for it. But don't get frustrated if you see, like I, I worry about that. So I think it's a legitimate concern. I don't know if you agree or not. Well runs back to back days for Cardassion. I'm not super concerned about it because he is a huge, huge threat. I think they're gonna want him in the lineup and and relatively high up on most days we'll see EDDI. I'm very happy I'm an Edwin Incarnacion owner with this

deal to New York. We're gonna sign off a YouTube for now coming up next the Window with Sean Gassimakia. You know how his bedstaid with the NBA drafts already of course for the weekend at the Window is next by Floria. Just a couple of minutes left to go in our program. Is there anything else you want to talk about before we get to our best best forever? Actually, actually there's one more thing I want to ask you about.

One more thing. Can you drop Jimmy Nelson? I knew you were gonna ask me that, and I think if any of those high upside starting pictures are out there, I think you can It sucks what's happening with Jimmy Nelson right now. He's working his way back from injury. There's no way you could start him anytime soon. So ideally and a deeper league, I wanna stash him a

little bit longer. But if you know a Gallon is out there or or Urius is out there, yeah, I'm okay making that swap to pick up those higher Logan Allen, any of those higher upside arms. This would be one of those where I have myself on the back because I try to tell you that Jimmy Nelson hasn't pitched in two years and he's not gonna be Jimmy Nelson

of Olden. Why not he yaws him? And I'm like, the belief isn't that he'd instantly be Jimmy Nelson Vold And I told everyone you cannot start in right away. He's gonna be really rusty. I didn't think it would be this bad though. All right, let's get to the best bets forever. Florio, I'm very hot just saying we do this every day. I am I believe for I'm like six and one this week. Yeah, so I had a nice run last night. My pick was the over in the Dodgers and the Giants that went way over

late night. Um, so tonight, I'll go first. I'd like to go second because that's where my hotness has been, but I'll I'll go first here because I don't know if you were prepared for this part of the program, you were not saying that's why. That's why I'm going first. Okay, So there's a couple of that that stand out to me. But what I'm gonna do, I just like the number here and I get caught doing this a lot. But

it's Tigers and Indians. Matthew boy has been good. You get Maddie Boyd at plus one seventy four tonight, I'll take the Tigers a plus one seventy four. You're gonna go against Trevor Bauer yea, all right. I mean he's been pitching better as of late, but definitely before that. Yeah, Like so Greggy, when I was scrolling through this right, there was one game that it was an over under the Marlins Phillies over it's Sandy all Katara against Aaron

Nola and a half is the number. Yeah, Nola hasn't been great at all, and al Katara can blow up at any point. He could blow up with the best of them. So I seen that briefly scrolling through, and I was like, I think I would pick the over there. And it saddens me to say that because I have Aaronola in the league where I've been hoping he can turn it around, but he just hasn't. Actually like that

a lot. The over eight and a half no versus Al Kazara, Nola has not been able to figure out in now Kazara, as you mentioned, he can get blown up with the best of them. I really like that one. To Florida, that's a that's a good one. I'm looking for an over under um myself. Yeah, the White Sox Rangers over under is eleven and a half. We've we've seen twelve and a half over the last week. It's crazy.

That's insane. Um. This Colorado Dodgers over unders that seven and a half with Bueller and Marquez, and I don't know what to do about that. I feel like they're trying to get everyone to take the under there, and I'm tempted to take the over. I just don't think I touch it. I don't know what to think. Walker Vieler has been so so good. Harald Marquez is great when he's away from Colorado. I just don't think I touch it. I think I just stick uh to Matthew

Boyd and the Tigers. That's my pick. Floria is going over when it comes to the Marlins and the Phillies. Under a minute remaining, Mike, what do you playing for the weekend? I Am going to San Francisco tomorrow morning, early flight, gonna go there. I'm gonna see a Giant's game while I'm there, and then I'm gonna next week fly back and we're going to Disney and Universal in l A. Because Nicolet's sister is coming out for the week.

So it's gonna be a fun week. And then after that I go to Mexico, Greggy, so I might not be seeing you for a little bit. All right. That's that's fantastic. Floria aheaded to San Francisco, aheaded to Mexico. That's amazing. Have fun, man, Thank you. I hope you have a good weekend. Two. I didn't get to ask you, but I hear the music. We're out of time. It's fine, I have a wedding to go. Do. What's new? All right,

Michael Floria, I'll grey. We appreciate everybody's help, everybody's time watching, and Frank for Frank Staffle will be back here on Monday. But until that, had a great weekend. We'll do it all again on Monday. We hope, we hope. The Fantasy Sports Network gets ready to take you out to the ball game.
