Episode description

The bye weeks are in full force and it's getting tougher to fill out your lineup. Gregg Sussman and Frank Stampfl discuss who to pick up, who to drop and discuss the latest in Aaron Rodgers heroics! Gregg and Frank open the show talking about the strong play of Aaron Rodgers and CJ Beathard in last night's game, but also note very poor play from the Packers' run game. In the 49ers' backfield, the guys question what kind of value Raheem Mostert will have for the rest of the season, especially with Matt Breida dealing with nagging injuries. Promoting the DailyRoto Optimizer, Gregg and Frank explain how to make the ultimate DFS lineup for the start of the NBA season. #FNTSY #NFL #NBA #MNF #49ers #Packers #AaronRodgers #CJBeathard #AaronJones #JamaalWilliams #TyMontgomery #MattBreida #RaheemMotsert #DailyRoto #DFS #Optimizer

You're listening to the Fantasy Sports Radio Network Fantasy Best Friends Forever. M Do Do Do Do? Didn do Do Do Do? Do? Didn do do do do? Didn't do Yo. This is the Fantasy Fast Friends Forever here on the Fantasy Sports Radio Network, alongside Frankie Standfell, I am Greg Salesman Friday. What's going on Monday, Greggy. After weeks of having some terrible prime time football games, I asked the football gods to not give us anymore. Use some Texans,

some more Dallas Cowboys, No more team from Texas. You know we've got two great primetime games in a row. How about that Sunday Monday Night? Man A C. Bethern doing the thing? Is that his name? Yeah? Okay, yeah, he did. It's great. I know her gave talk about this earlier. It seemed like he was just slinging the ball the entire first half, like if you had the over for his prop I think it was something like two and fifty five yards something like that. You feel great.

And then in the second half it's just like he didn't throw the ball at all. Um, but honestly made a made mark. He's goodwin fantasy viable again for one game at least. I'm sure we'll be talking about that to see whether or not he is a waiver wire target of hours. Um. But yeah, I mean heroics from Aaron Rodgers. I don't know that you know, we saw this game being as close as competitive as it was. We mentioned yesterday that I like the over and the

forty niners. I didn't, you know, I thought it was gonna be more of like a backdoor cover if anything. I didn't know that it was gonna go down to the wire. But it was a great football game overall. And uh, you know, for those people who were sweating out their fantasy outcomes on Monday night, I was right there with you man. I ended up winning as of

now by one point to two points. I mentioned yesterday, I was going up against Aaron Rodgers and Alfred Morris and I was up thirty one point Alfred Morris four rushing yards. As of right now, I have a one point two point lead. Also, that um, that touchdown that Aaron Rodgers through to Time Montgomery like early in the game got reversed to like a rushing touchdown too, So I'm just hoping that that call stands um for my sake and everybody else who early one that was facing

Aaron Rodgers. You know, it was crazy because for me, I had I was down ten points on the knee on the night going into Monday Night football, I had Davante Adams. I was facing the Green Bay defense, and Adams scores pretty early on in the first quarter, like okay, we have a shot here, and then C J. Bethy to Mark he is good and I was like, wait a minute, this is getting close. And I was down. At halftime, I was down three points, I think, so

I was in a pretty good spot. And then interception, um, a sack or two, and I'm down I think five points. At one point, Davante Adams gets the job done and in the fourth quarter when last drive for San Francisco. I guess the second last driver San Francisco before they um pointed it away. You get a sack and we are tied at point seven to point seven with more points.

You don't see that a lot, not often. So I'm just like, listen, let me have just aboute Adams catch one pass on this last on the next drive, just one pass. He caught a thirty eight yard reception and then scure a touchdown and le move on with the victory. Greg, moving on with the victory. You know what's crazy about that? My home league team where I just barely won. I'm three and three, but I'm like a fool's gold three

and three, Like my it's not good. And I realized that, but I'm you know, I'm just gonna try and write it out as long as I could. It's kind of similar to the Jets, right, Like the Jets are three and three and like, yeah, you want to be optimistic, you feel good about it, but they're facing the Vikings and the Bears the next two weeks. So it's like, all right, you're three and three, but really, how great

do you feel about that? Three and three? You gotta look yourself in the mirror and realize my fantasy tea actually that good. Totally agree, And there's a lot of football to be played there. Sometimes you just get bine and you hope to cally you into the playoffs and magic happens, and the other times you're sitting for and too and you're like, which is pretty good? And I kind of feel in the middle of that about my four and two team, and like, I think it's good.

I don't think it's a bad team, but like I was really looking at it this morning, it's not a great team. It's not a great team. Yeah, I was. I was one in three with this team, and that was the one that I was freaking out with. A couple of weeks ago. I kept asking you guys, should I make trades? Because if I go one in four, it's really hard to climb out of that whole. So now I've climbed back. I've won two in a row, three and three, um, but whatever, So much for that.

Just going back to last night's game, our guy MVS pretty pretty solid, showing m VS third on the team and targets six targets, three receptions a hundred and three yards. Man, if he would if he would have like got on the end zone. They would have helped team BFF. But you know what, it was a valiant effort regardless, more of the same from the Green Baby rush rushing attack right,

Like Aaron Jones should have had that touchdown. We all saw he crossed the plane, but he had the ball on his on his right right side rather than his left, so it didn't get inside the pylon. He would have had a rushing touchdown. But then gameflow kind of sit set up that he wasn't gonna get a lot of rushing attempts in this game. So you know what, maybe maybe we should start listening to the fantasy executive more.

Just don't draft Packers running backs, don't draft Colts running backs, which I'm sure we're going to talk about today, but I don't know, man, it's a mess. Aaron Jones, Jamal Williams, what are we doing? What are you doing here? Greg? I think we're just And I watched a lot of the play calling last night, and it was a game that I understand Greenbay was down in a bunch and they at that time Montgomery out there and they had

to have Jamal Williams out there. They don't want her on the ball, and let we do this every year because we have these memories of the glory years of Eddy Lacy, very few glory years their glory years. It was top five pick at one point, he was a top five pick at some point, like what, no one know he was not. I'm not disputing you. That was part of my rationale for drafting the Packers running backs that we've seen Packers running backs have fantasy value and

just I guess that was fool's gold as well. I just don't think that, um Mick McCarthy is an idiot. That's it. What else do you need to say. I just don't that they don't care about in the ball and he's not Last Night Action. Yeah, but eventually this is gonna catch up to them, like we've almost seen it happen a few times now, where like they're just trying to put the ball in the hands Baron Rodgers,

like it happened last week or two weeks ago. They lost to the Detroit Lions and all they did was throw, throw, throw the football because that's all they had to do. That's all they could do with sort of football in the game, and they still lost. You can argue they could have they should have won if Mason Crosby did his job in that game. But once you're offense becomes to one dimensional, like it's it's easier to defend. I mean, not that easy when you have Aaron Rodgers as your quarterback.

But I'm sure eventually the fact that the Packers offense is as one dimensional as it is is going to catch up to Mike McCarthy and the Packers. For those who doubted Eddie Lacy as a rookie, rushing yards and eleven touchdowns the next year, eleven and nine touchdowns, so very fantasy viable correct for a for a short period of time. Absolutely, Dante Adam was beastly last night. He's just been fantastic all year long. You mentioned MVS of course as well. Jimmy Graham not as involved I thought

he would be. I think they'd tried at times. Um, there was a cool misconnects between were disconnects I should say, between Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Graham last night. We had a great game, though by for one or four like from a tight end, of course, you thought it could

have been even better, is all I was getting to there. Um, I expect after the bye for the Packers you'll see Geronimo Allison and Randall Cobb return, which probably the end four and v s on the other not necessarily, because that's something that I've I've continuously spoke about, like he has. He's looked pretty sharp with Aaron Rodgers. So there's definitely a chance that he goes away. You might have to drop him because now the team is on a bye.

But if you play in deeper leagues, I might hold onto him because he developed somewhat of rapport with Rogers. Who's to say that they go into the bye and Aaron Rodgers, you know, doesn't go up to the coaching staff and talk this kid up and say, look, you know, I want him to be playing over Randall Cobb. Like the team was about to cut Randall cop before the season,

they were trying to trade him away. Who's to say that the three wide receiver set coming out of the bye isn't Davante Adams, Jeronimo Allison and Marquez Valdi scantling. I think there's a chance. I think it's a chance too. I think and Ar Rodgers said in deeper leagues, I

would hold him. Aaron Rodgers said it after the game last night the MVS farther along in the other rookie wide receivers, and you could tell nice catch by EQUANIMI and st Brown that time by equally, by equal, I'll just call him equals b E S B. It was nice, It was nice catch, buts be really really good job by him. But I think he certainly goes to the bench. The other dude goes to the bench vs A long yeah him, um, yeah him, that's true. And he ask the only one that has a shot to do anything.

We'll see. But I expect Kavin Elsen to all honestly get their roles back on the other side of things where there's a there's a good time I think to start on the waiver wide because he's your bet third for agreement. He looked good, right, he he looked good. He moved the offense so much more than we saw any times last year because he took shots. And while we saw a couple of shots that he missed last year, he's gotten better with his timing. Uh, and he's certainly

understands the speed on Marky's good one. We had said many many weeks on this show, Marky's Goodman is droppable, but last night he finally proved healthy and Kyle Shanahan did with Kyle Shanahan always does the good one. He lets him take shot, He gives him a chance, and on at least two occasions last night, those chances converted into touchdowns. How important is it for if Marky's guban is available to go out and get them. So he's about owning CBS leagues right now. And as usual, we're

gonna talk about a lot of wide receivers today. There are more running backs available this week than there have been in in the past weeks. But Marky's good and I'd say he he ranks up there probably in like the top three, top three wide receivers that you want to look at. I think mark He's Goodwin, Chris Godwin, and then however you want to look at, you know, Christian Kirk, Taylor Gabriel. I think those are all kind of like the top three or four wide receiver pickups.

Mark He's Goodwin. Look, he looked awesome last night. Four receptions twenty six yards, two touchdowns, took the top off the defense showed you why you know, you can just throw that ball up and he's gonna go out there and get it. We know, you know his history as

as an Olympian, how fast he is. But I will still have some trepidation with this Greg because he was third on the team and targets behind Pierre Garson, and I believe it was George Kittle, Yes it was, Yeah, George Kittle had six Pearson had six targets, so Goodwin had five targets. Um, So that's something like, okay, the targets share something that there. He's not getting a ton of targets. While C. J. Bester looked good in this game,

he hasn't looked great overall on the season. The one thing that I do like is that especially if you meet a wide receiver for next week. This week, upcoming Week seven, with four teams on a by, they faced the Rams Greg over the past month, the past four weeks without a keep to leave, they're allowing the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. I think it's purely based for this matchup. If you're desperate, you need a

wide receiver. You said it yesterday that this team is very very different without a keep to leave, And as I just mentioned, Kyle Shanahan is gonna allow c J about to take shots. He knows that the offenses it has to be one or the game has to be won. When an offense is using their game breakers like digging Ducky to Pierre Garson or even George Kittle, it's not gonna work. You need Marky's gooman. And I think against the Rams that we're again, they're going to be playing

cash up in. I expect it to be a lot over the top, which is very very good from Mark. He's Goodwin, So I agree with you. I like him for this week and maybe I like him a little bit more um as a season long play, because I think those shots are gonna be there every game. I don't think they'll be consistency, but to get through the by I think there's worst players you can take a

shot out a shot on. Ultimately, So without being said, Frank, how much you just spend on Mark's Goodwin Marcus Goodwin, I'll go I'll go with high as like ten to twelve percent. I don't know that there is a wide receiver that I see this week where I'm like okay, or even a player for that matter that I'm going like over twenty percent of my fab but before I think ten to twelve percent. I would probably live in

that range. What do you think that makes sense? You might have to go up to fifteen percent, just based on his name value he was drafted. He was when it was all said and done in draft season, he was like a fifth or sixth round pick. I was as a vat. If someone dropped him, you might have to spend a little bit more, I was gonna says, but is he the top wide receiver? Ad? I don't think so. I I think he's second. I think I

had is he said? Or third? At least second? Yeah, so you know I've already mentioned Chris Godwin will get into all these guys, say Chris Godwin, Christian Kirk, Taylor Gabriel, name the guy that I think it's the first all honestly? Oh, well, is it a one is it a one week thing? No? All right? Well, I was thinking Josh Reynolds. If you need a one week to seven Cooper help ruled out for week seven. This weeks a week after that. I really like Josh Reynolds, But I think Josh reynoldsill be

under the radar. I don't think I'll cost you all that much. He's the third wide receiver, but no, so is it. I was gonna get to that after the break, all right, tease um, but yeah, I know, I'm I and I don't think you named and when he just went through your crew, maybe maybe it did. This is gonna be great if we come back into great the break and Greg's like, this is the player I won five times again. Chris Godwin, Zach like Chris Golindzacriscoblin, I

haven't mentioned Remaine curse yet, was it? He didn't mention but he didn't mention him yet. I was like, I really didn't. Christian cur Taylor Gabriel, I think you know, yeah, I think so was. Taylor Gabriels are really interesting one

to reel is an interesting one. And you know, I'm gonna paint both sides of the picture here because while he's done a lot of good things, I think the fact that Anthony Miller is back and the fact that Tarik Coon is getting as many targets as he is kind of takes away from the luster that is Taylor Gabriel at this point. But over the last three weeks, not including his by Taylor Gabriel has four less catches or gets or whatever it is behind Al Robinson, like

he's being targeted everywhere he is. But I just saw, I saw those targets go down this week. I agreed that while Anthony Miller was out, while Terry Cohen wasn't getting as targeted as much as he is now, Taylor Gabriel was getting those targets. I think it was a three week span where he saw twenty four targets. But now this week, while he was incredibly efficient, he caught all five of his targets. Again, it was just five targets.

So we'll talk more about that. I think we should stay in this forty Niners Packers game for a little bit more. I didn't want to. I'm happy you are, and I didn't want to leave here. I think you have to talk about Raheem Mostart. Yeah, that's exactly what I wanted to bring up. Pulling up the snaps from Nathan Jankie last night, Matt Breeda twenty seven snaps or he most three snaps. I think it's most right, Yeah, Mozart, whatever you wanna snaps. Most someone is twenty three snaps

and Alfred Morris with them easily won. Yeah, so Moore's obviously got bench, and this team realized that they it is a better fit for a faster back, not a scat back, but but a faster guy. And they saw it with Brita, and they saw with Mostart as well. And Brita was not a last night. He was the number one running back. You right, the snap catch a second ago. He wasn't number one running back. He got the goal line carry, but there's a lot of times that he had to live off the field that he

needed an extra couple of plays off. And they went to Mostard, who was most like Brita, and he showed some flashes last night to me. I saw him. I was watching this game, and I'm like, this is interesting if I need a running back, but if Brita is playing, do you ever feel comfortable starting Mosart? Frank, I think this is exactly what Kyle Sannahan has always done, right. He's always had Davonte Freeman and Tevin Coleman. He's always had like that duo of running backs, and I don't

think much of it changes now. It's obviously to a much lesser extent because when Kyle Sannahan was coaching the Falcons offense. That's a much more potent offense. Like right now we're talking about the forty Niners with C. J. Bethard as the quarterbacks, so they're not going to be nearly as potent. Correct. We look at a lot of these secondary running backs on teams as borderline flex option,

and most are the way that he played yesterday. I think he's kind of going to climb into that mix, assuming that Alfred Morris is really done now, Like if this is the thing, I think most are kind of climbs in as a flex option tough run defense. Of course next week with the Rams, but we'll see, we'll take a break come back. Fantasy Best Fence Forever rolls on right after this. Daily Rodo dot Com learned from the game's best DFS players. We don't just give you

premier advice. We play every day, all major sports, all year round. We never stopped industry leading DFS tools and custom projections, and now the Daily roado dot Com optimized in minutes building, optimize line for cash games and turneys. Learned from the game's best DFS players joined Daily Rodo dot Com. Visit to day. I want to get right back in Motzorry, Frank, that's cool, Rahim, wolf Kang'd sorry, yes,

it look like a second. I remember if Wolfgang came first, or I thought you were thinking whether or not you like this, and now you're like, no, I'm in on it. I'm on it. It's cool. So I want to you right back into it because I want to ask Price how much you spend a wolf Gang like this is actually a thing. Obviously he's owning zero percent. He's not there. He's widely available. So especially if you're playing deeper leagues and like you need running back help, you gotta take

the shot forget deep release, Frank. Everybody needs running back help. There's there's nobody that doesn't need running back help, So take that out of it. If you were in a your normal twelve team league, not a fourteen team league, not one of them has a thousand bench spots like our GST league. If you were in your normal home league, we both have twelve teams. There's not a lot out here. Obviously we need a running back. What do you do?

Buys are here? Um me as an example, right, I have take on Barkley, Carlos Hide and Kenyan Drake two of those three guys are terrible. I don't have any other running backs. What do I do well? It depends who else is available too, because there's a lot of there's a few more running backs on this list that we've mentioned. It's what do we like those guys more than most are? That's the question. Because there's Leto Smith, which you know he might be able to help you

this week. The Chants have been susceptible to running backs, but then they have a buy in week eight, and Javonte Freeman will be back after that, and then we get back to a three headed monster for the Atlanta Falcon so much just a complete mess. Then there's Marlon mack who was sixty two owned and looked like he kind of took a strangle hold back on the Colts

running back position. But again, because that defense is as bad as it is and they're throwing the ball as much as they are, do you really want to get involved with the Colts running back situation? So you give the percentages for Morland Maco Smith Smith. Smith's out there more so than than Mackie's. They'll say this in my league. In competitive leagues, because running backs are so valuable in both of my home leagues. Both of those guys are gone. Just this is again just me, and I understand it

doesn't affect everybody but her. So he's thirty on CBS's ever really like the guys that highlighted. And I know some people have brought up Barber as well. I owned in fifty eight percent of leagues, so he's owned in a large majority. And plus I really don't want to fool around with that Tampa Bay Bucks running back either. So if you really need running back help, which a lot of people do, I'll go, you know, up to

twelve percent. Again, I don't want to break the bank on Moser, but like, if you need running back help, I can understand spending more than that, because this is a good situation for him, you know, he there's obviously something they like about him. That's why Kyle Shanahan used them as much as they did last night. And that Brita has been injury prone already this season, and if he gets hurt at some point, then maybe we see an even bigger workload for Mostart. So there is a

chance for upside here. And we'll say this about Raheem Mostert, there's nothing the passing game at all last night. Just twelve carries for eighty seven yards, and that's It's incredibly efficient, incredibly efficient. I don't want to break the bank for this dude. So if you if you really want him again, he's probably in a ten to twelve percent range if you just want to throw a smaller bit on him,

seven or eight percent. I'm I'm okay with that as well. Like, that's probably where I'm going to live if I'm bidding on him this week. Yeah, I think, Yeah, you're not gonna spend more than on this guy, are you. I'm not gonna. No, absolutely not. I'm gonna It's probably been like seven dollars on him and just whatever. Yeah, something like that. I think that's fair. I think that. I think that's Sarah. Anything else in this Niners gien be a game before we move on? Uh not George Kittle

for for thirty whatever? Um Packers running backs a mess? No, I think I think we're done with this guy. I think so let me stick with the running backs because we we got into it an impassioned discussion in regarding most of it. The other guys you mentioned I think are all the right guys. Frank Peyton Barber, Frank Gore, and I think those two are where I want to start, because they're similar in a way. Frank Gore's old Peyton Barber is a retread Barber has kind of been up

and down this year in fantasy football. You jumped in on him late and draft and you realize he was gonna start. He was terrible, and before the Haven bay By a lot of people have jumped off board went after Ronald Jones. Ronald Jones finished Sunday with how many carries you no one snaps from war than it had been but one carry on the day Peyton Barber was watched much much better. Now we can sit here and hope and pray that Ronald Jones becomes the guy, and

Chris Venture's doing just that downstairs right now. But Peyton Barber, and essentially Dick Dirk Cutter has told us this and Tom Monic in the same thing. Payton Barbara is my guy. And maybe when they continue to lose, they'll turn the range over to the younger player. And I understand that. But right now, Frankie, if Payton Barbera's out there, he's very very clearly the starting running back in Jampa Bay. Yeah, he is, and he had thirteen carries to Ronald Jones

is one. As you mentioned, we saw him use more in the past game than ever before. Four receptions, twenty four yards and a touchdown. Here's the thing, I just don't know what the upside is with him, Like, honestly, why wouldn't you rather take a shot on a guy like Moster right with the San Francisco forty niners, Because as you mentioned, and as you reference, like, the further the Bucks go along and the more they continue to lose, they have to at least see what they have in

Ronald Jones. They use a second round pick on the guy. I just I don't know what the upside is for Peyton BARBERA. I'm not buying back in the fact that he has scored one touchdown through five games. This was the only game this season that he has more than one reception in a game. And that's likely a product of playing the Atlanta Falcons because they struggle allowing receptions to running backs. So the Tampa Bay knew that and that's how that's the fashion that they used Peyton barber

in this game. They faced the Cleveland Browns this week, and you know, surprisingly the Cleveland Browns haven't been as good against running backs as they were last year. We just saw Melvin Gordon uh stomp all over them going to Cleveland. They allowed a hundred nineties six total rushing yards between him and Austin Ekeler three rushing touchdowns. So it's a decent matchup. Peyton Barber is likely in the flex discussion. It's just I'm not gonna pay what it's

probably gonna take to get Peyton Barbara. I've had a lot of people asking me about Peyton Barbara ready. It seems like they're trying to buy back in. Everyone has recency bias. They want to go based on what they just saw this past week. And what they just saw was Peyton Barbara running efficiently, being used in the past game, scoring a touchdown. So that's what's fresh in everyone's mind. Let you let me remind you what he did the

first four games of the season. Seven for twenty four against the Bears, eight for thirty three against the Steelers, six team for twenty two against the Eagles, nineteen for sixty nine against the Saints. I'm not buying it. I get it, man, I get it. People are if you want to put again, if you want to put like a ten percent fab bit on them, Okay, I'm not gonna spend the fift what it might take for people

who are really really desperate. Without James Conner this week, without um marshaw and Lynch on a bye, with all the Seahawks guys on a bil, someone's gonna spend more than I am on Peyton Barber this week. Fair enough, I'm not doing it. I'll say this though, Peyton Barber, in the books or through their by you have them, and it works. You have them the rest of the year. I appreciate you playing Devil's advocate right now, but personally, I'm not doing it. Are you doing it? Well? I

paid ten percent? Yeah, well, he's probably gonna take fiftcent, like he's gonna he's gonna call ut that much because people see him all starting running back? How many how often do I get a starting running back on the waiver wire and they're gonna spend more than ten percent? I'm okay around like ten, but he's gonna go for more than that. I think I might pay up fifteen. I wouldn't go to twenty because he's just starting running back. He's a goal line back. He's out there every day.

He's a goal line back. Greg. How how many rushing touchdowns do you have this year? Donut? The only touchdown he's scored is a receiving touchdowns. When they get in the red zone, only do is throw right. The Tampa Bay Books defense is terrible. They just fired their defensive coordinator, highest paid defensive quarter in the league. I love that it took the game against his former team for them to realize, like, it's really sad. You know, he was

always the Giants coaches. Yeah, that would have been awesome for them. Really, that's exactly what they need, exactly I'm not doing. Look, the guy has zero rushing touchdowns. Their defense is bad. It's gonna be negative game scripts for him. They're gonna be throwing nothing about Peyton Barber and the Bucks running neck situation says pick me up. Okay, at least not to me. Maybe we'll go to the other part of the state in Miami. You feel differently about

Frank Gore. Last week, Frank Gore was picked up in my league for five dollars on the on the Wednesday waiver run. He was then dropped on the Platursday waiver run for name is Winston on the Friday waivery one. I don't think it's a little weird. Do you have waivers every day? It's fun Instead the first come, first serve, which that waivers every day. Yeah, it should probably just be like two or three times a week. Why I don't know, Okay, thank you. So it's just like your

money goes every single day, right, like people adding and dropping. Right, isn't that what you try to get away from for first come first seven people just adding and dropping conto? No, you know you're getting a waivering first come, first serves me seeing somebody to get her on Twitter and mere going be able to pick him up right now, That's why you get away from it, not the added dropping

so much. I think you guys. In my opinion, what I would do is overnight into Wednesday, overnight into Saturday and then Sunday morning. Well, you can't do that has to the same time every day. You can't just pick it Saturday night and then Sunday morning. Why why does it have to be the same time every day? Because they forces you to do that, you can't. ESPN doesn't allow you to change it. I won't play on ESPN. I'm not paying money on CBS. It's stupid and it's

a gross interface. Anyway. We ever, so on Friday, I put a zero dollar bid in on Frank Gore and I lost someone who was worse than the standings to his zero dollar bid on Francore. I was the Kenyan Drake owner. Now that was kind of meaning said by the way you were bunning it. You were, you were bunning it. I didn't ask you. You're criticizing my league and my settings. I'm offering my opinion and didn't ask for it. That's not fair being honest. Point is I

missed out your opinion. Sometimes were best friends. We are best friends. I even tweeted about you today. I did so. I don't believe you could check my Twitter. So I spent no money on Frank Gore and I went up not getting him. He had the first hundred yard game that any player had this year against the Chicago Bears. Frankie number one. Can Frank Gore do it again? Number two? It certainly seems that he us the preferred option on the ground for Miami UH and for Adam gaze Key

and Drake is going to be involved. He did play more snaps I believe, and barely outtouched him because of the receptions. But when it comes to the groundwork, even on the goal line, the only reason he was out at the end of the game because he was gassed. Would you rather own right now Frank Gore can and Drake this number two and number three of Gore's out there? How much are you spending? So I would in in half point PPR and full point PPR, I would still

rather own Kenyan Drake. And that's just because Frank Gore is not being used in the past game whatsoever. But if you play non PPR, if you play in standard ay, it's probably you probably still live in the stone Age and be um. I'd probably rather have Frank or just because he is dominating carries and it looks like I know that Kenyan Drake was given that opportunity on a goal line carry, but we've seen Frank Gore using the red zone as well. He has double digit carries over

the last three weeks. He's out carried Kenyan Drake over the last three weeks as well, and to be honest, over the past two games specifically, he's run very efficiently. I don't know what has happened with the Miami Dolphins

offensive line or the teams that they are facing. But against the Bengals two weeks ago, twelve or sixty three, that's five point three yards per carry, and then this past week you've already referenced it, fifteen carries for a hundred and one yards six point seven yards per carry against the Chicago Bears. This is like the first thirty five year old running back to rush for a hundred

yards in like forever. So in non PPR, I'd rather have him than Kenyan Drake, and half point and full point PPR, I'll still take Kenyan Drake because of his past game usage um, But to be honest, I like both guys this week going up against the Detroit Lions, who have allowed a lot of fantasy points to opposing running backs. This yere spending on Frank. Obviously in non PPR, his values higher. Frank, He's probably he'sn't that range. He's in that ten to twelve percent range, like there's nobody.

There's a lot of solid options at running back this week, which is more than what we could say for weeks past slids like the right thing. It's solid. It's like fine. What's the difference between solid and fine? Greg, Solid seems like better than fine. No, to me, solid is like average. These are like average, I think find average. But we've had no running backs. We've we've had no running backs to be added off the waiver wire. Now it seems that we actually have some uh in non PPR. I'll go,

you know, ten to twelve percent in PPR. He catches no passes. There's zero upside in PPR with Frank Gore, So I honestly I would just not even look his way when it comes to PPR unless you're really really hurt by the bye weeks, and you know he has a good match up against the Lions. They're allowing the fourth most Fantasy points to opposing running back. So I'm telling you right now, Kenyan Drake and Frank Gore will

likely both be inside my top twenty four. Yeah, just based on who's on buy and the fact that they're facing the Lions, like it's a really good matchup. I'm really hurting the byes and flex this week. Sorry, Budd, Do you have Frank Frank Gore still do? It's gonna be in your line up because you have Marshall Lynch. So for the Marshall Lynch owner, Frank Gore becomes viable to agree. So that I so that I agree with.

The last running back that I know I had on my list was Edo Smith just this week for Atlanta because as we said, they play on Monday night. DeVante Freeman is basically already been ruled out. Then they have the buy and then you expect, hopefully for Freeman owners, he'll be ready to rock. Frankie, you know Smith's out there? How much she is? Funny? Quick quick side note before you answer that question, Um, Mike Floria one in five reflex one in five with Eric Young one five flex.

Oh see what happens you leave the BFFs, you become bad at fantasy football? Greg and Frank too very solid. That's kind of one of those four and two teams. Though, where I'm looking at it, I'm like, this seemed really foreign to I have a Marie Cooper as like my wide receiver one. Well, I drafted as my wide receiver one, but now Tyler Boyd has emerged as wide receiver one.

Edo Smith. Um, if he's a second third least points Smith, he's available he's he's behind an averaging never mind, he's behind all of the running backs that we've mentioned to this point. He's behind most that he's behind Frank Gore, He's behind guess Peyton barber Like, I just I hate Painton Barbera, I hate the pucks running back situations. I just don't want anything to do with him. But Edo Smith, you can't deny his usage, especially in the red zone.

In the past couple of weeks they've been using him in that part of the field. Again, it's like you don't really know who's going to be used. It's kind of just like whoever is on the field at that point. For the Atlanta Falcons, we saw it. Savin Coleman scored a touchdown this past week, but Edo Smith has scored a touchdown in two straight games. The Giants have allowed the tenth most fantasy point to opposing running backs this year. They allowed a touchdown to Corey Clement one week ago.

So again, if you need a flex running back this week or are really hurting, Edo Smith comes into play, um would depend how much you spend on him, depends on how much you meet him. Right Like, if you really really need a running back this week. I could see going as high as like ten to twelve again

on Edo Smith. But if you are not going to use him, then you're probably not going to pick him up because once DeVante Freeman is back, I don't know that you're gonna feel great about starting any Falcons running back. I agree with that. I agree that Tevin Coleman was very useless this past weekend. Until that touchdown, he was killing fantasy owners. I had him a DFS, so I felt it with you. Um, but you know Smith this week, with all the buys that we have mentioned, I think

it's a start. Would you rather start Edo Smith or I'm a daist? This week forty Niners are facing Rams and the Falcons against the Giants. I'm on the night I would play Edio Smith. I think so too. How would you rank the running backs that we've already discussed as ads. We didn't even mention Marlon Mack yet. We didn't mention Marlin Mack yet? Let me do Let's do that before we rank them, and then I guess we'll rank them. Yeah, we'll wake him before the break, hopefully.

UM Morlan mac seize this OPPORTU you and as you said, when he came back. Jordan Wilkins did not get off the bench. Robert Turbin was terrible and I think got reinjured and now he Hines believe had the most snaps of anybody, while Marlon Mack looked the best on the ground. It was a tough game against the Jets where the game flow should have dictated a lot more of Nahem Hines, which is why he was on the floor on the field. But whenever you got the ball, Marlon Mack looked good. Frank,

Yeah he did. And I wasn't a big Marlon Mack guy coming into the season. Uh, And that was because I thought he was gonna be drafted higher than he was, honestly right. But he looked good in that start um against the Jets. They said that once he comes back like he's going to be the starter. It looks like that is the case. The reason I caution you is because the Colts, like the Bucks, are going to be in a lot of negative game scripts this year. Greg, So I don't I don't think I'm breaking the bank

on Marlon Mack either. We'll give you our running back rank. He's getting to the wide receivers cod up next. We also want to tell you about daily Rhodos and the line of optimizer because today is an extremely important day for this Frank. Today is opening night in the NBA season. We both

a drafts last night. We were going back and forth in the text message if feel like my team came out pretty well one one mission because it looks like something I would draft it does? I felt the whole way every time because like a lot of players that you and I both like, we're like very fairly priced um and I felt it a good deal. Like Paul George, I had no interest in getting last night he felt in my lap at thirty one dollar, like, how am I not doing that? Chris Middleton? Who I wanted? I

thought it was? I? I have had twenty one person like that, okay, pretty fair price. Um Gary Harris went for like twelve. I'm like, what is going on? And I'm like, the more and more look at this team. It's it's a fright team. And one thing I told Frank going to the draft, and he asked me, is there one player you really want? Was I really want Trey Young in this format? And I went overboard with

trading Young in this format. Um My buddy Danny, who had an auction last week, he told me he also I asked him how much trade trade Young went for after I bought him for six bucks and I spent seventeen, and I'm just like, oh god, this is bad. I was just really that mad at myself. And then I budgeted and I was looking at my my budget wrong and well not up okay, because I was really able to dominate some of these ten dollar guys that I really wanted Darren Fox and Willie Calli Stein and they

would to get them all. But I had an extra chunk of money that I could have spent on one guy rather than spread out spread the wealth, which isn't like long a right. So I missed out in DeAndre eight and Tobias Harris, who both went around twenty dollars. I was like, that was the spot where he always regret something, an auction. That was those are the two guys that regret letting go. But the point is, the

point is not talking about my fantasy. The point is NBA season starts tonight and there are two games Sixers and Celtics, which is awesome, Thunder and Warriors, which is also awesome. Even more awesome over at Fandom of night, four dollars gives you a chance to win two d and fifty thousand, four bucks the Costs billion dollar prize pool. First place gets fifty. And the first thing I did and Chris Venture did this morning because we went over

daily roado dot com. We used a lot of optimizer and then frightened the same thing when he got in an hour later and he optimized and he said, here, what do I deal? And what I was very excited about was when they ran the optimizer. The second line of it spit out was my lineup and I had used projections with daily Rodo, but I didn't run the optimizer until I made my initial lineup, just to see same lineup. I was like, this is fate I read. So I read the article posted on Daily Roado first

by Leoni and Drew and Ricky. Then I set my lineup, then I ran the optimizer, and then later today I'll be talking to Drew dig Meyer and running my line up by him, making sure it makes sense. And I'm ready. I'm ready to rock. I'm ready to win. Two. Really grant the night and then if that's the case, Frank, You've got a text message for me early the morning and saying I will not be here tomorrow, and you've also shared on Twitter that I will also, I will.

I will get some of this absolutely. How much do I get if you win? I'll definitely buy you lunch for a week. It's it how you didn't ask for anything. Well, I mean, I'm not gonna be rude. Let's to give your money. So I just said to buy you lunch for a week. Said about this guy's you should be thankful. I don't give you anything. Well, what did you do to earn the money? Emotional support? You root for me

to lose most things I don't like. I can see tonight I have a guy like oh man, I really don't want this guy to goo good because I don't have because I'm playing him in fantasy. I can see that happening. I wouldn't do that definitely. What are you gonna give me if you win? Because you participated, you put two line ups? Well, I didn't order revealed that I'm going to anything, give you anything. You're my best friends. I wanted to. Yeah, we'll talk about it off the year.

You can't do it on the here. No, it's fair enough anyway. Use NBA Optimizer is absolutely fantastic. Good daily Roada dot com right now it's signed up. It's a premium Evan ts wise a promo code. It is well worth it. I promise you we all did it first thing this morning. You gotta do it to before you say you're lae of. It's four bucks on fan would win two d fifty grand. You are an idiot if you don't participating in this. Frankie rank the running back

and we talk about it so far. I would rank them Marlon Mack, Frank Gore, most Dirt and Edo Smith and Peyton barber Is. I'm not picking him up, but I guess if you want me to rank him, I would put him ahead of you Doo Smith, but behind the other three. I don't want him. I would do it. I'm very very differently than you of this week. Um, I would do it. Peyton Barber number one, Marlon Mack two,

Frank Gore three, Edo Smith four. Uh and we'lf getting on days Modesart five Barber one Greig I explained why, all right, you can make that mistake. It's not a mistake. They're all they're all basically cost the same amount. We just talked about this. It's all like the same price, that ten to fiftcent range. You're known. You can have Payton Barber, thank you. Well, that's give me the story,

give me the starting running back man. You can have him when you can take Marlon how long you take Morton Mack when he strains his hamstring again, I mean, none of these guys are great by any means exactly. So I'm getting a guy that's a lead dollar Marlon Mack twelve rushes for eighty nine yards. Great, awesome, Yeah, it was awesome for sure. Andrew luck Is his quarterback still got out snap on he mines. That's an issue. Eating Barber bad an issue. Let's move on to the

wider series. We mentioned Marky's good Win, who we both really really like for San Francisco. But as I said to you before, he was not my number one guy. My number one guy this week is Jermaine Curse. Quincy Nuona was out for the next four weeks at least with a high ankle sprain. The Jets clearly believing this is a concern. Thou prior also banged up work that Richard Matthews today. If wider series is as much of a concern as it certainly seems, that means Robbie Anderson

steps up and Jermaine Curse steps up. As much as I think the Jets are going to take more shots with Robbie Anderson, the inline guy is still the guy you want to own. That has been Quincy Numa, and once he left this game this past Sunday, it became Jermaine Curse. I really like Curse this week and potentially going forward with his anual injury. Definitely with the Annuna injury. I just worry about once he returns, how valuable is Curse gonna be. Plus he won't be, But but I

think I don't think he returns like a month. That might be true. I mean, we don't have any confirmation it is. It's a high ankle sprain now, don't I know. But I mean Sam Donald still spreads the ball around like I do like main Curse. Don't get me wrong. Since week three we've already kind of seen him take the hold of like the top target role on this team. He leads the team since week three on with twenty

five targets of the target share. And he is the guy who has been playing in the slot most recently and is slated to play this lot. And I know they face the Vikings this week, but being the slot receiver against the Vikings is probably what you want to target anyway. I imagine Xavier Rhodes will likely be on Robby Anderson of the outside. So I'm with you. I like Curse. I still just kind of worry because Sam Donald spreads the ball around. He throws to like all

the tight end. He throws like Chris Herndon. He throws a Jordan's leggett, you know, targets running backs a little bit. But I do like Jermaine Curse, just not as much as Chris Godwin or Mark He's good when I think he's just behind those guys by a little bit. How much you're spending on him the main curse, So you're I'm more, I'm more than ten range. I think he's my favorite guy. I think it depends on what you need. You know, if I'm looking for I like he needs

on a PPR like safe floor kind of guy. You need the higher floor guys your main curses. You need like the one week bangers this week for a good Absolutely agree with that. I'm looking for er. If you're looking for a guy that's going to give you a floor of like eight PPR points a week, I think that's your main curse. If you're looking for a guy that has an ability but up twenty points, that's clearly Mark. He's Goodwin. But he also has ability to give you

a donut. HM. That's how I feel. Now you mentioned Chris Godwin here a lot Mark, he's Goodwin, and you have Chris Godwin, Javis Winston came back. Chris Godwin very much involved this past Sunday. Mike Emmons was not is it sustainable here? Um? For Chris Godwin, that's a fair question, um. But he has scored a touchdown in four or five games, so he's definitely been without questions in the red zone.

He leads the Bucks actually in red zone targets this year with eight, which is interesting because he's only played of the snaps this season, Gregg, which I think is why you might have a little bit of hesitancy when it comes to adding Chris Godwin. He played only fifty six pent of the snaps this past week in Week six, but he does have nine or more targets and in two of the past three games, and we've already referenced that game script for the Tampa Bay Bucks says that

they're going to be passing the ball a lot. I do agree that it is slightly frustrating that he just doesn't play the second most amount of snaps on this team behind Mike Evans, like Adam Humphrey still plays more than him. Shun Jackson and Chris Godwin are like play the same amount there in that fifty five to sixty

percent of snaps every single week. So I understand the hesitancy here, but I just think the based on the game script, the way he's been using the red zone, the fact that he has actually scored touchdowns, like he's not a guy that we're saying, oh, look, he's getting the targets. That means production is going to come. Like that's something we say every week with Jarvis Slandry, Right, Jarvis Slandry is getting double digit targets, fantasy production is

bound to come eventually, Chris Godwin. The targets have been there in two of the past three weeks, plus the fantasy production has been there, scoring a touchdown in four out of five games. So it's it actually surprises me

that he's only owned in fifty nine percent of the leagues. Um, he's my top wide receiver, Ed Gregg, I understand that, I understand that you know, the snappercentage is annoying, but I think even as the season goes on, I think that he can be solidified as that number two wide receiver. If he doesn't I mean at all, but more of the reason that Dirk Cutter should be fired from this team. But he showed that he's talented and the way that they're using him, he's my number one wide receiver now.

He as you mentioned, he scored a four out of five games. But and this isn't his fault and I'm not like blaming him at all. And anyway, like the defensive Tampa Bay has faced New Orleans poor secondary three or four one a touchdown. Okay, Philadelphia the week part of their team the secondary five s and a touchdown, Pittsburgh brutal secondary five seven, ten targets with rabbits Patrick five or seventy four and a touchdown against the Bears.

In the end, they got she lacked nothing, Atlanta brutal secondary sixty and a touchdown. Isn't there a chance it goes the other direction when they face some of these better defenses, Frankie, Well, they're slated to face the Browns this week. Touch a better secondary first, I mean ish we think that they are, but should we look at it? On the season, they've allowed the ninth most fantasy points, multiple touchdowns to wide receivers and three out of six

games castle they're vulnerable. They're vulnerable. And then they faced Uh, they faced the Bengals, who are right there. They're right behind the Browns. They've allowed to touch on to a wide receiver in every game but one this year. They've allowed big games to wide receivers. We just saw that this past week, especially in Week four two and they faced the Falcons three d and forty four yards and

two touchdowns. To wide receivers, and then they face the Panthers, who actually their secondary has played better than you'd imagine, But I still don't think they're great either. So I just think based on game script, they're gonna be passing the ball so much that Chris Godwin is he's gonna get targets, and especially in the red zone. That's that's where they like to use him because like other teams that we've seen now with secondary options, teams want to

try and stop Mike Evans from scoring touchdowns. They want to try and stop the tight ends. They forget about Chris Godwin. We saw that this past week too when you saw Jameis Winston rollout, nobody around Chris Godwin just throws it to him. Chris Godwin just walks in the end zone. I think we can continue to get a lot of that. My only, my only opinion there to dispute you is just that there's a lot of options for those touchdowns to have a bay. You mentioned Mike Evans,

there's a lot of volume to there. That's a great point. And there's Evans, there's great there's Sean Jackson's O. J Howard, Do I really like um and there's Godwin, so you can make a case that he's fourth or fifth on every play. This works obviously, It's like it's it's two fold because I get what you're saying, of course, because there's a much options, but there's so much volume, and I don't think that volume is going away. We're gonna sign off a YouTube. Remember the Fantasy fotleb All Frenzy

Uh So, subscribe to our show. Make sure you like a you rate us, and you leave a comment. We really really appreciate it. Um she ranked that Godwin. Then who is next for you? In PPR? It would be curse in standard it would be good when al right, so you're saying cursing, goold win back

to back here. Other guys that you had mentioned before, Christian Kirk, who kind of is becoming Josh Rosen's favorite por people are sleeping on him a little. We thought this was possible. Two rookies that have worked together really since training CAB they've always been connected. Lat show clearly banged up at this point, which I don't want to say Kirk's lead dog, but there's a connection here. Yeah, and he's only twenty seven percent owned since Week three.

He leads the team in targets with twenty four that's the target share, leads a team with two d twenty eight yards Corey Parson, and then a hundred and five yards after the catch. All of those categories lead the Cardinals. So well, I know it's not a potent passing game. It's on a potent offense by any means. Christian Kirk is the guy who's getting theVolume. He seems like he's the favorable target. He's also played the snaps this past week, which is the first time he's played more snaps than

Chad Williams. So he has stepped into that number two wide receiver role. We we've seen him used in multiple ways as as you know, that possession receiver. We know he played slot receiver in college. But he also has some explosiveness. We saw that long touchdown last week too. So Christian Kirk is I think Christian Kirk are kind of like tied for the next position up there, like third, like fourth, fifth. I guess I would take Taylor Gabriel

just because that offense. I trust that offense more right now the Chicago Bearshould Taylor Gabriel be high on this list? Should he be higher than Marquis they're similar players? I think no. I think he's exactly where he should be on this list. Would be he should be hiring the Christian Kirk hundred yards receiving two games in a row. He should be hired the Christian Kirk, but he should not be higher. Would you not be hiring anybody else

on this list? That reasonable? Yeah, I think that's fair. That the snaps did go down this week to which is what I mentioned with his snap his snap percentage was below six this week for the first time, you know, in over the past like a month or so. So let me ask two players in particular in regards to drops, Royce Freeman and Derrick Henry. And I've got questions about that on Twitter, I've gotten questions about that on text message, on g chat and in per person. They're also on

your list. Can you drop or should you drop Royce Freeman and Derrick Henry For some of the players that we've mentioned on today's show, I think Look, if you own these guys, you're likely you likely have a bad record. You're infuriated, Yes, you're probably. I mean that's not necessarily true. The guy that owns Royce Freeman in my league's has best record in the league. This is where where you are in the standings determines what you should do with

these guys. Like if you're three and three or worse, and you like need to win this week, I'm taking a shot on you know, some of these other running backs that we've talked about, some of these other wide receivers if you need the wide receiver help, because you know, these guys might just be clogging up spots on your bench. If you're four and two are better, I think you're gonna afford to have a little bit more patients, especially for guys who are drafting the third, fourth round, respectively.

But if you need the help, you just can't hold onto these guys and say, oh, it's gonna happen eventually. You need to win that. Yeah, I get it. I think if you're the roy Streeman owner and you're sitting there, like my buddy in my league, you're sitting at five and one, you hold on, there's there's there's no reason you're not. You're not paying Eto Smith for him or or Mozart, right, Like, that's you're not doing that, right, You're gonna hope that. But it's on the playoffs roll around.

You have something in Royce Freeman. When it comes to Derrick Henry, I think it's the same. You kind of just hope us gets hurt. Yes, right, like, and that's the um. Joey Nelson, I'm holding on him. Amari Cooper is traded or just can cuss party? Right, Yeah, but like the Raiders aren't buy you really want to hold any Raiders beside some totally trained Now, fine cut them, see what I can Corey Parson, Jim Day, Chris Venture, They come your way next for Frank Stample. My name

is Greg Sausman. Thank you so much for watching listening to Fantasy Best Friends Forever. We'll do it all again tomorrow, we hope,
