Episode description

Gregg Sussman and Frank Stampfl open the show looking at the wild Monday night football game, but wonder what happened to Todd Gurley among all the scoring done in the game. Gregg talks about how the only person in the world to own Gus Edwards was his cousin, who promptly dropped him in a dynasty league earlier in the week, before Edwards went off against the Bengals. The guys question who is the better running back to own between Edwards and Josh Adams.  #FNTSY #NFL #fantasyfootball #Week11 #MNF #Rams #Chiefs #Ravens #Eagles #JoshAdams #GusEdwards

listening to the Fantasy Sports Radio Network. Fantasy best Friends Forever, m To To to Do Too, To Do Do Do Do Do Do Doo. Yeah. This is a as the Fantasy best Friends Forever here in the Fantasy Sports Radio Network alongside Frankie Stamford, I am Gregg Greggy Game God Aren't Late No Them. In twenty eighteen, over a hundred ten points scored over a thousand total yards greg in a game that featured now QB one, q B two, RB one, RB four, Wide receiver one two other top

twelve wide receivers, tight end one two. Defensive scores. First, what if I told you that Rams would score fifty points and Todd Gurley would have ten Fantasy points. That's like the biggest thing of that game today is that Todd Gurley had ten fantasy points, probably his lowest output all the year. It's the most it's the most fantasy

football thing ever. Yeah, it just makes the most sense that in a game sixty three and a half point total, the highest total of all time, a hundred and five points scored, twelve fifty five great, great game, four point six yards per carry, added three receptions for thirty nine yards. I didn't even crack hundred yards. He was not involved in this game at all, man, Like I don't get Do you ever get it? Did McVeigh answer that question? Like why John Girley was not involved in this game?

It was? It was crazy, man. This is back and forth all night long. Um Sean McVeigh was going out of his mind on the sidelines, and you know it was. It was crazy. This whole entire game was just crazy. Tyreek Hill is ridiculous. Patrick Mahomes is the biggest arm I've ever seen in my life. Jared Goff calm and cool to pick sixes, the fun Wold for touchdowns. This is just a wild game in every sense of the word. Why y'alled? It was easily the best Monday Night football

game of all time. I know they said it was the highest score. It would end up being the highest scoring game in NFL history. No, we finished eight point UM to a game which Cincinnati, I wasn't Cleveland back in two thousand four, and then one back a little a little before that, um the highest game total a hundred and thirteen. This want to finish with a hundred and five? Yeah? And uh look, just another six touchdown performance from Patrick Mahomes, who has now done that twice

this year. Has thirty seven touchdowns through eleven games and is on pace for nearly fifty four passing touchdowns. I think it's like fifty three point eight. Obviously, we all remember Peyton Manning sent a touchdown record with fifty five. Patrick Mahomes on pace for fifty four. It's been first two season he had six touchdowns and they lost. You have this guy in dynasty or a keeper league. God bless your soul. It's a pathetic, pathetic. I'm in a league.

I'm two and nine with Mahome was my starting quarterback. It's like the most barrassing thing I've ever seen in my life. Patrick Mahomes, Antonio Brown and if you have something that might be able to top. That had an NFFC league where it was best ball, and I had Todd Gurley and I finished ninth out of ten teams. That sucks, safe to say that was that was the Chris Hogan team. That was the Royce Freeman team. Not great, unbelievable, man, unbelievable.

I don't even know what to say about this game, Brandon Cooke, like, I was just thinking back. I don't know why I keep doing this, but I keep thinking, this is the first thing I've really ever done this. I keep thinking to next year about how early some of these people go, like Patrick Mahomes gonna be the first quarterback off the board, and rightfully so, um I go back and like Tyreek Hill, We're gonna really have this wide receiver one debate with Tyreek Hill again next year.

That seems silly because he is Brandon like Brandon Cooks and Robert Woods like, he's not your prototypical wide receiver one, and that's what we knew about. I don't care, it doesn't matter. He's the wide receiver one right now. And for those people at home watching and listening are saying, well, they played one more game. He's twenty seven to more

fantasy points to Michael Thomas. Now, Michael Thomas might be able to do that in a game, but I'll bet the under entire Kill is still your number receiver through eleven games. He's facing Atlanta possible. No, but like there you go, like, I don't want to do this again anymore. I don't want to go game by game anymore with Tyree Kill. He's a widers ember one. Brandon Cooks and

Robert Woods. Two guys you're gonna get a little bit later, Like I'm half next year in the third round, third three or four turn, two or three turn, I'm gonna just draft Robert Woods and Brandon Cooks. Give me Girly Cooks and Robert Woods, and that's my team. There's a team in my lead the teams in the first place.

That's the most points. He has Girly, Brandon Cooks and Tyreek Hill at top radises are quarter try and get as as many players on the most potent offenses that you possibly could, and these are the two best, which is very obvious to say, yeah no, but look before the season, and you know this was it's obviously flawed logic at this point. I realized that, and I think it's it's fair to talk about we're trying to learn

from our mistakes obviously too. Before the season, I wasn't that high on Jared Goff because I felt this defense was gonna be great, and I thought they'd be playing with a lot of leads, and I thought it would just be a lot of Todd Gurley. Now we have seen games where Todd Gurley takes over and it limits the upside of Jared Goff within those games. At least he's QB two. He's QB two right now, and he's been phenomenal. I know, you know, Glory likes to bass

Jared Goff. He's a system quarterback. You know, there there's another quarterback that people assume is a system quarterback because he's played under one coach, he's played on the same team his whole career. Say what you want abou him, whether he's a system quarterback or not, a lot of people consider him the goat. That's Tom Brady. So whether or not you're a system quarterback or not, you still

need to make the throws. I mean, you still need to complete thirty one of forty nine pass attempt with over four yards and four touchdowns. It's not just like a Sean McVeigh robot robot who's going out there and doing it for him, Like you still need to make plays.

Jared Goff is making those plays. So I look, I was I think I had him as like my QB fourteen or fifteen in the in the pre draft season, and I was dead wrong on that, and I will gladly, gladly admitted, Yeah, it's crazy, man, This this these two teams are crazy that you're exciting with the The other most wild thing about this, Frank, besides Tyder Gurley getting ten points, it's the fact that if you started both defenses,

you get like craft on the points. Did you though, Yeah, the fact that the Rams but like twenty fantasy points last night because I figured the fact that they gave up someone with so many points probably canceled out. So it doesn't because in mostlys, like once you put up more than like thirty five, like you can't get any worse. So you can get negatives. Yeah, but you get like negative four or something like that at thirty five. You don't get like negative you don't get like negative ten.

You don't get like negative Tenant. He lit up fifty he's still at the same negative four you know, two defensive touchdowns, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries, three sacks, and

the Chiefs were the sixth best defense. Yeah, this is the most This is the most fantasy relevant game of all time, and that game ever arguably the best running back like that's probably gonna be like in this generation like this chantasy running back, the number one overall pick this year, the number one overall picked last year, last year, this year, next year or whatever. And in the game

that at Franks said it. That just spawned fantasy points that everybody, no matter who you started, if you're dest for rams tight end, John Reynolds, Brandon Cooks, Robert Woods, Um, Chris Connolly, Travis Kelsey, Tyree Hill, kareem On, both quarterbacks. The only two players both defenses. The only two players in this entire game that let you down are Todd Gurley and Sammy Watkins. That is it. Yeah, and od Man,

I don't know what the Sammy Watkins thing was. I think they probably just did it as like a throw them off kind of like distraction. Like yeah, I mean, Sammy Watkins only played five snaps in this game. Um. Yeah, But Josh Reynolds, I think that's a nice takeaway too, right, Like he had he had eight targets in this game. He was third, he was he was behind Brandon Cooks and Robert Woods. It's what we expected. But still, if you started him six for eight and a touchdown, I

think you feel pretty good about them going into the by. Yes, again, he's not Cooper Cup. Cooper Cup might have been the most dependable of these wide receivers when he was completely healthy. That was again before he injured his knee for the first time. He's not gonna get to that level. But can Josh Reynolds be a top thirty six wide receiver

in this offense? He absolutely could. Yeah, absolutely, And we're gonna talk about the tight ends a little bit later on on this program and certainly on the Vanduel Hurry

Up as well. But I think they're gonna be viable also, And I get it, like when everybody shows up, it's a lot more exciting, right, I completely understand that, and Josh Reynolds takes that Cooper Cup role, But I think you're also gonna see increase with Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett The problem is you're not gonna know which one is gonna get the increase because Tyler Higby was the

one that was awesome last light. He had six catches, which is I leave at season high, get a season high and yards, I want to say, but there's Gerald Everett that caught the two touchdowns, including the game winner for the Los Angeles. So I don't really I have to look into this war, Frank, I don't know how they differentiate which tight ends on the field when I don't I don't really know, um, but because they played

the Rams, they have value. Yeah, so I know coming into this game it's it's a completely frustrating situation coming in and it still is because, as you mentioned, Tyler Higbee had the yards and the receptions, but Gerald Everett called the touchdowns, and coming into week Levin it was Tyler Higby is on the field more, but Gerald Everett runs more routes, so he's not on the field as often. He's probably not as good as a blocker as Tyler Higbee, but he's running more routes, so they look at him

as the more competent pass catcher of the two. But you know, with Tyler Higbie, is on just being on the field with this offense as potent as it is, it's going to create opportunities for you. I will say, you know, if you've been structurally at the tight end position all year and in fact the Cooper Cup went down, and you know, given what they just did mon night football against the Chiefs, these two guys are on your radar. They are on buy in week twelve. But it is

definitely going to be a frustrating situation. I don't know that you can pencil either one in as anything better than stream based on matchup a high end tight end too. Like they're not gonna be top twelve guys, Yeah, probably not, Probably not top twelve guy reliably. Um going forward? What is this dude to Patrick Mahomes and Todd Gurley's m v P race to put Drew Brees on the front because people were saying that last night. No, I think it's very close, and I don't knock people for putting

Drew Brees in that conversation. I mean, the guys playing the best football of his career, arguably at you know, his age, the completion percentage, what he's doing, like getting everybody involved. We just saw tray Kuan Smith have a breakout game this week. So it doesn't matter who the name is on the back. He throws to any buddy throughout his career and he's been amazing and he's again arguably having the best season of his career now. So we're gonna have to We have a lot of games left.

I think that's going to determine a lot of it. But uh, look, the Saints have now rattled off what nine in a row. They lost in Week one against Tampa Bay, So I think the fair question. I don't think as good as Todd Griley has been, I don't think that they will ever give it to a running back, like we're gonna really really need something spectacular, and the fact that he didn't score touch on in this game,

we're probably not ended. We're not gonna get to that level of like Ladinian Thomason that we were hoping for, like the thirty one total touchdowns. I think that's not gonna happen now. But yeah, I think it's it's probably between Drew Brees and Patrick Mons. Yeah. I don't know how it's not homes I really don't, But yeah, I know three interceptions doesn't look great, like he made some bone head passes down he did, and he's just trying

to make something happen late in the game. Like it wasn't great decision making by any means, but there's thirty seconds left in the game. You just kind of like haul it up there and and and see what happens. So I don't necessarily blame him for it. And remember he's still through for over four five hundred yards nearly five hundred yard seventy six touchdowns, so he's still right there. Yeah,

he's They're both right there. Patrick Mahomes Andrew Brees, they love for Jerry Goff maybe in that race, I don't think I don't think he'll get any consideration, really, I mean I don't. Look, he's played phenomenal again, and you know he's he's the one. He's the one who's executing the Seaun McVeagh system, which is as amazing as it is, um. But I don't know that just the numbers overall that that Drew Brees, like Drew Brees and Patrick Mamomes are still like a step ahead of him in terms of

numbers he's putting up. But Jared Goff has played phenomenally here and uh, it gives me hope. Gives me hope as a Jets fan. And Sam Donald that if the Jets can find the right offensive mind, maybe they can turn around and bringing Levy on balance happen. It's amazing how that happens. Of course, the rest of the show will will give you your waiver wire um Hey adds for this week, we'll do a lot and listen, we

understand this playoff push. There's two more teams and buy of course the Chiefs and laz You have a lot of people you have to replace this week, so we're gonna do the best we can to try to help you do just that. From the next forty minutes of the program. Frankie, Yeah, and the question, I've already gotten a lot and that's why I made it. The The Twitter poll for today at Fantasy BFFs on Twitter is again Mahomes and Golf run By. So, which QB are

you looking at to stream this week? Because there's a lot of names that are out there and you know people you might be interested. Jameis Winston, Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield, Nick Mullins. I considered those four kind of like the top ones just based on matchup and if you wanted to, I know you're not gonna want to, Greg, but throw Eli Manning in the mix just because the Eagles secondary is as bad as the four guys you mentioned before. Eli, I think are in the top four the guys you

had in the poll. I believe in the tough Eli and Nick Mullins back to back. In my rankings, I have Eli one spot higher than him, but I would say definitively Winston, Jackson and Baker. And again we don't know if Joe Flack was gonna return, because they've already mentioned there's a possibility he could. But if Lamar Jackson does, then those three I would say our ahead of Eli Manning. I agree to me. The Jamis Winston's the answer to that question. But you don't know if he's gonna pulled

the halftime or Ryan Patrick. I know it's very high floor, but it's low ceiling. Is high ceiling floor? Yeah, And that's the true Jamis Winston would be the guy I would go with. It's funny because the guy that is in second place in my home league right now, he's starting quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes, and he picked up Ryan Fitzpatrick a week or two ago preparing for this bye week

facing San Francisco. Now Jamis Winston's out the right idea, They totally Jamis Winston's out there, and I want to be like to his opponent, like you should go bid on Jammeis Winston because this is clearly what his plan is. Is that legal? How is that an etiquette? That's too snaky? That's definitely snaky. Um, but it's something I would condone do.

I think his king his brother Actually last week was was facing someone who had a quarterback on a bye or two weeks ago rather um, and he picked up Ryan Fitzpatrick even though he has your bree is just to block the opponent from getting him. And apparently the guy freaked out on him, like out fine, I told him to deal. I was like, yeah, why not, sneaky snake. It's just so obvious. I haven't actually looked in my league what quarterbacks are available, Like James Winston's got to be.

Lamar Jackson's probably out there too, Yeah, Lamar Jackson, James Winson only owned in of league. Jameis Winston. Yeah, so both those guys are out there, so I'll get somebody, So whatever, I'm not gonna get him. It's not gonna get involved. I'm just not getting get him off with this. Yeah, James Winston, Lamar Jackson, Nick Bolin's that's that San Francisco's Sama Bay matches. Do you have it over under on that yet? I'm sure we Doan Francisco Tampa Bay fifty five?

It's no free. Tampa Bay total has consistently been over fifth. Last night was the easiest. Why don't we Why don't we put our money on that last night? I liked the over when it was put all our money on that. Like everything we have everything, we have bucks and giants. Actually like the underlives. Don't play it under against Tampa Bay. We'll take it ready. Here, we get you the quarterbacks. Let's get to the running backs and wide receivers you need to pick up. We'll tell you how much the drop.

We know how important he is to you make the playoffs. Get that push, Frank and I will help you do that when we come back next. The promo code is t G eight team. Let's get into the way every wire, Frank, I want to start with the running backs. US Edwards is owned in zero percent of leaks. There's not a single person that I know that owns Gus Edwards. Well, I did get a text message from my cousin who said, oh damn, this is on Sunday afternoon. I just dropped Gus Edwards, who was my buddy's a big cousin, is a big Rutgers fan. So because I just dropped Gust Edwards in my Dynasty

League this week, that is a terrible feeling. And this Sunday, how this is literally Sunday at three thirty. How much do I spend to pick him up? Like, dude, you asking me this on Sunday And he's like, yes, that terrible feeling in Dynasty too, because it wouldn't surprise me one bit. We've seen this how many years in a row now where a Raven's running back emerges in the second half and that guy performs like legit RB two

the rest of the way. Now, I'm not saying that's definitely going to happen with Gus Edwards, but we've seen it happen a while now. Alex Collins did it last year. Who was who was the other journeyman running Bamath that they had a couple of years ago. Justin cour St Justustin for set another perfect example. Second half of the season was phenomenal. The next year, everyone drafting in the third or fourth round let us down. So basically, don't

draft Gus Edward next year. Don't draft Alex Collins next year unless we get a new coaching regime in for the Baltimore Ravens. But this has happened far too often. Gus Edwards, if if Josh Adams is not available in your league, because I would still want would rather have Josh Adam. I'm just talking in terms of like racking the running backs. If Josh Adams is not available in your league, Gus Edwards is the next running back up.

Again Alex Collins has not run how coming. It's really interesting because you've been off the Eagles ever since I've known you. When it comes to the backfield. You didn't want him last year, you don't want him this year. Why is Josh Adams, see who is owned six percent of leads right now according to CBS Sports, Why Josh Adams over Gus Edwards Because you love the Ravens backfield, the big Alex Collins guy. You talked it out last week. You had the situation right, just the guy wrong. Why

Josh Adams over Gus Edwards. It has to do a lot with the matchup, and I know a lot of people are win now mode I need to win. I really really like the Eagles matchup for against the Giants, and I know the Ravens are facing the Raiders this week as well, so that is a good match up on paper. But we know a little bit more about who the who the Eagles are gonna use. And I never thought I would get to this point because Greg has referenced and I'm not big on Doug Peterson because

he likes to run out running back by committee. He runs out a trio of running backs. But based on the usage that we saw last week, I had to at least somewhat trust the eye test what he showed us and the fact that Josh Adams was in on you know, fifty percent of the snaps, which was you know, um, it was higher than normal for a lead running back for the Philadelphia Eagles. So he said something. He said he was going to get Josh Adams more involved. That's

exactly what he did. Uh. Josh Adams scored a long touchdown against the New Orleans Saints, who are very potent defense. He was actually used more in the past game as well, So I'm buying into Josh Adams at least for this week. Greg against the New York Giants, who just allowed one yards rushing to Peyton Barber. They've kind of they've slapped off in the in the run defense department once Snax Harrison has left the team. So all those things, it's kind of like every thing is is trending in the

right direction for Josh Adams right now. And I don't want to pooh poo Gus Edwards. I know everyone's still trying to figure out who the hell is This guy played four years at Rutgers and he played another year at Miami and he was great this past week. But hen we trusted again. What I said yesterday about the Ravens running backs is maybe Gus Edwards gets the first series if he's not performing well. Alex Collins gets a second series. If he does perform well, then maybe it's

an Alex Collins game. It's a very fluid situation which is going to is going to evolve within the game based on who's performing well. So there's a lot of volatility with that situation, I just trust Josh Josh Adams more this week, given the matchup and the fact that I do expect him to be the lead running back at least for one more week. Both matchups are good. Josh Adams against Josh Adams against the Giants, and certainly Gus Edwards against the Raiders. You like both of them,

and uh, I've been the Josh Adams guy. I've been trying to tell you to pick him up for a couple of weeks now, so so I like him and I probably agree that I go with Josh Adams over Edwards because it went surprised me if all of a sudden, Alice Collins is the guy again. Josh Adams. Every time he's got an opportunity, he's just been better. He've been better than coracle Man, He's been better than Wendell Smallwood and Doug Peterson promised to give us more Josh Adams

and that's exactly what he did. Let me throw this out there at your Frank, if both of guys are out there, how much are you bidding on him again? I'm not sure. I'm not sure how much fab people have left at this point. That's why I don't. You don't give me a number. I'm just saying I'd like to rank the running backs at this point because look, if you really really need a running back, you're probably blowing the rest of your fab on one of these

guys this week. So if I had to rank him, it would be Josh Adams number one, and then I would put Gus Edwards second. And and like what we said about the Ravens running backs, like, there is definitely a chance that Gus Edwards is just the guy for the rest of the year. John Harba came out after the game and said, all right, this is the running back that they've been looking for. They've been looking for a north south runner, a strong runner. And that's exactly

what he did. Exactly what he delivered again a hundred yards rushing and a touchdown. So there's a chance I would say, you know, he might have a higher ceiling than Josh Adams the rest of the way. But given that volatility, and you know that the Ravens coaching staff you don't know who they're necessarily going to use, his floor is also lower than what I think we expect at Josh Adams. I just expect a little bit more safety, which I never thought I would get to with the

Eagles running backs. But even what we saw last week and Doug Peterson delivering on his promise, I do trust him more than I do Gus Edwards. Is it possible if Joe Flaccer comes back, this role for Gus Edwards is diminished. Maybe there's something to working with Lamar Jackson that backfield. Is that possibility. It's definitely a possibility because Alex Collins has been their majority of the season with

Joe Flacco and he hasn't run very efficiently. He's had a few games where he's run well, but for the most part, we've known that when Lamar Jackson is on the field, this team has run better with the football. Obviously, that takes into account what Lamar Jackson does running the football, but this has been with any football team in the history, Like when you have Michael Vick on the field or

Tyrod Taylor. That helps the running backs because defenses have to account more so for a running quarterback running the ball out of the backfield and and ultimately that opens up more running lanes for the running back. So that's a good point. If Joe Flacco does play it might limit the upside. Maybe we don't see. I don't know. It's just so hard to say. What do you expect from Gus Edwards moving forward? Like this is probably gonna be his best game of the season. Can we say

that definitively No, but it's more than likely not. Gus Edward was prior to this game. In his debut against Tennessee, he had ten carries. This is a blowout. Baltimore beat Tennessee's twenty one nothing back in Week six. Since that moment, of course, Joe Flacco being the starting quarterback two carries against New Orleans, two carries against Carolina, one carry against Pittsburgh. Now the seventeen carriers came out of the by so

maybe it's possible. Jaron Harba John Harbaugh reevaluated his team is like, listen, I want to get this guy more involved. He is. He's more talented than we're given him credit for. We have to get him the ball. That's possible. And the schedule, and Frank's talked about it a lot. The schedule really lines up very very nicely for Gus Edwards with Oakland, Atlanta, UH Casey, Tampa Bay and then the Chargers in week sixteen. It lines up very very well.

You could be a league winner. He definitely could be a league winner. I'll do, I'll be I'll be very matter of fact about it and hopefully knowing my league's listening. I have thirty four dollars left. How much have I been on them? All of it? Every time? Were your current running mix? Is Josh Adams available? He's on my team already my other running backs sakewon Barkley. So Josh Adams is your r B two and Kenny and Drake

is my RB three. For the sake of the Florio situation last week, I'm going to tell you to bid um dollars on Gus Edwards this week, twenty seven dollars it is, and and hear the call part, okay, cool, fair enough, all right? And it's interesting because I was looking at some of the other players that are available this week outside of Josh Adams Um and Gosh Edwards to the running back it's not really much that I want, Like I have Rex burkehead already in my ir. We've

talked about that the last couple of weeks. Then you get some of the passing down bash, but in particular Elijah McGuire, uh and THEO Rittic both are pretty widely available. I want to start with Riddy because I actually like Rick more than like McGuire. But I've read the stats. How listen theory hasn't scored like years at this point, and the reason you like Riddick is just carry on.

Johnson's out for the next couple of weeks, certainly out this week on Thanksgiving me which means it's all about the Garrett Blunt. That's all about theoretic. I expect the lines to be down against the bruising embarrass defense, which means a lot of dump bumps the theoretic. That's why I think he's an option. If you're desperate running back, you lost Ted Gurley, lost Cream Hunt, you have nobody to pick up. I prefer THEO this week till Garrett

Blunt and Elijah McGuire. Yeah, I think that's fair. I think that's fair to say. I also throw a Jennal

Richard if he's still floating out there. He saw more carries this week than he normally does because Uh, Doug Martin was dealing with some kind of phantom ankle injury in the second half, which was annoying for me because Doug Martin has done nothing but do his job and he's running effectively, which crazy, Like I'm complaining here about Doug Martin on the Raiders like this shouldn't be a thing.

But I started him last week in the flex and uh DeAndre Washington was getting goal line opportunities and he did not run well. It just seemed like John Gruden was doing that thing where he benches his best players. But Janaln Chards saw Levin Carreys last week for sixty one yards and then he also added his normal four targets three year septions thirty two yards. So if Janalen Rechards sus to be used more in the ground game in addition to what he's been doing as a pass catchers,

than Janaln Rechard is also. I mean, I don't know why he would be available. We've been talking him up since Marshawn Lynch went down. But if for some reason, Jalen Richard is out there, he's another guy I'm looking at. I know John Gruden compared him to some Tampa Bay Bucks I'm assuming running back from the nineties, some guy who caught rush for a thousand and ran for It was like Michael Pittman, who was it wasn't Thomas Jones rush rush for a thousand and ran rush for a

thousand and and received a thousand Thomas Jones. No, it wasn't work done. No, it was like a not no. Okay, um amo Zoe, I can't find it. I'll find it for you, Okay. I like Jayalen Richard though, and I'm with you on THEO Riddic. The Lions are four point home dogs on Thanksgiving. I know it's a bad matchup against Chicago, but I think we see some kind of classic Lions here where they're not gonna have a run game to speak of. I think we actually see more

Zack Zenter running the football of than we do. Let agree with you. Yeah, and they've already kind of spoke about that they're gonna try and get Zack Center involved. I believe Legarrett Blunt has uh something like twenty one rushing yards on his last sixteen rushing attempts, so he's been god awful. But I think they used THEO rick as an extension of the run game in this one.

I just give him a lot of short passes. He's already kind of provided as say flour for PPR in the past couple of weeks and he's been on the field. I think we see a more classic Detroit Lions offensive attack in this game, where they really do have to pass the ball more than usual because even when Zack center, they're not going to be able to run the football against So I again, you ranked it. You don't want to necessarily give up how much Josh Adams, Gus Edwards theoretic?

What are the other names you mentioned? Listen, if you do have fab let, if you have thirty dollars of you have twenty dollars of how much of that do you put up theoretic? How important is it to grab him? Yeah, So if you have twenty or thirty dollars and you're picking up theoretic, I'm assuming it's because you don't have girl or you don't have Koreem Hans, right, Like theoretics

not the winner. Yeah, Like, realistically, you're picking up theoretic because of like the final bybeek here in week twelve. You're not picking him up just because they're like, oh, I mean I'm intrigued by theoretic. You want them for this week because Harry on, Johnson is gonna be out and carry on. Johnson could miss more time. So, but he's in that jail. And Richard mold Like he doesn't have immense upside, but he's gonna give you a safe

floor for PPR. So if you have twenty bucks, I'll spend maybe about half of it, eleven twelve dollars if you have if you have thirty, you know, maybe fifteen sixteen something like that. Okay, you mention neo. Elijah McGuire, we mentioned the Garret Blood. I don' want like Garret Blood. I'll throw a dollar, a couple of dollars on Zack

Center if I'm that desperate. And you get to Elijah McGuire, who had the week off of the by only seeing increased Jets heavy underdogs against New England this week, which should be good for the passing down back. McGuire. The player was Charlie Garner. Greg Charlie Garner, former Raiders running back. While you you screwed me out because you said bucks. Yeah, he said Raiders. I might have gotten Charlie Garner. OK. Let's see what Charlie Garner didn't. He was good. Charlie

Garner was before me. It was before your football watching time, not like before you were born time, but the Garners before your football watching time. So it's interesting that they referred to him as having Charlie Garner type upside, which is a one thousand yard rushier and one thousand yard receiver. Never did that in a season. Yeah, I had nine hundred sixty two rushing yards and one receiving yards. That's what he was referring to. Ninety one receptions PPR year

out of that, that's what he's referring to. He did bring it into Tampa Bay after that, but it didn't matter. It is, so that was that's who they were referring to with the jail in. Yeah, okay, jailer shard talented guy actually started to reflex. Jakes just texted me about FLEX. I didn't realize like how badly I checked it On Sunday. I was like, I want to stop looking at it. I've got a lot of points against Jake in Flex and PBR. How much did you put up one six? Yeah,

that's got to be among the highest year. We're tied at seven in four. Man. You and I lets BFFs holding it down in the Flex League. Man Fantasy League of Experts. I guess we're I guess we're finally experts. We did it. We did it, Yeah, very well in the Fantasy League of Experts. I'm actually the defending champion. You are indeed, Um, you know my my second RB spot's been an issue all year and the reason I bring this up is because my second RV is jailing Shards.

He not a PBR league. Well, I know you had Marshall Lynch, so yeah, you picked up for shard it. Did you know quasi Marshall Lench? You know who I'll be picking up this week's Edwards? How much fab do you have? Probably more than me. Probably use your fab a lot, still haven't. I don't have a lot of josh Ads. This thing is not Adam. I'm excited you're gonna pick up both of them. Anyway, he's not a it's not available, So Gus Edwards, I have fifty hours left my fab blow it all boat and Gus Gus

bus No, that's that's from No. Come on, Greg. Actually like the movie Somebody Music quotes man and someone used it on Twitter reference. This is a movie I've watched more than anyone should watch this. It's a stupid comedy that helps narrow it down. Boy, No, it's pretty close though, us us dun dumber what don dummer? Pretty close to Let me know when you give up give up bench warmers? Never seen mench warmers? What? We got some work to do, Greg, I don't want to start on movies, Frank, Yeah, I

know there's a lot of movies I haven't seen. But bench Warmers, come on. I don't even know. I don't even know what it's about or who's in it. Bench Warmers about a team of like misfit baseball players. It's baseball. I wou guess football has Rob Schneider, Rub Schneider has Rob Snyder, Nick Schwartzon has the guy who played Napoleon Dynamite. Do you know it's dumb, but it's like funny, Dug John Hater. It's a great movie. That's that's great, all right?

Give you the running backs, wide receivers. The wide receivers are the tight ends to pick up that covers your way. Next, it's much smaller. Groups will break it down the best we can. All times are Eastern and we go until PM. We got Greg. It was a schedule. I wasn't letting you do it anymore. No, I was asking me what he got. Like after that, Wow, what's up next? The number one

college BASKETBA player in the country just coming into Memphis. Uh, and it looks like Memphis. Penny Hardaway doing a fantastic job at the University of Memphis. He's just got like three top tender cruits. After nobody hears to Memphis. Was he the head coach? So they used to have team that they'll have since Derrick Rose, right, Yes, so they head Jelly Calip, Harry Right and Derrick Rose and all what they did in Memphis. Then they run in. They

brought back Josh Pastner, who was like fine. It was like a kind of like a fine coach, and they were always like a okay team essentially, and then they've run Tubby Smith, which is like a disaster. Likes it. He's not that fat. What's so Tubby Smith is my name was Tubby Smith. I would I would eat more

twenty piece chicken nuggets. So Tubby Smith is he former like Kentucky coach before um, he's a Kentucky coach after Rick Patino was a Kentucky coach and all won a national championship there and then like that fire, he went to Minnesota that was a disaster, went to like Texas Tech. I want to say, Now he's at Memphis and now he went to Memphis and he just like totally disregarded like the entire Memphis culture and didn't play the game.

And Thenny Hardway was like the head of the lead a team in Memphis, and he went to Memphis and he was a huge superstar at Memphis, and how he's been like disregarded all of that and then he got fired and they just said, Penny you can coach the team. Now. Penny's got like all the best players Memphis. Do you know so much about like random stuff? I don't know

how you retain all this information. Well, you retained a lot of it, but I don't know, like I wouldn't be able to like right now, just trying to retain information for the NFL and the NBA is like a daunting task, right. I don't know how you find the time to like fit in college basketball and you still kind of mingle with like college football. I know you watched like the terms sometimes and stuff. Yeah, I mean, like I don't know. I think the thing is, I

don't get near these details in view. You get very obsessed a good way with the details, and I'm just like, yeah, that sounds good. That's usually my okay, So let's get to the wide receivers this week. Problem is there there aren't many. The guys were a bunch, but we've talked about them a lot, exactly because still not owning enough percentage, which is weird. The guys that we're gonna mention we

mentioned really every week. And as as I was putting together the hurry of Rundown, I know you were doing this. And so he's good with the players that we have match because that means we're we're talking about the right players. But I was shocked to see the key QCs only owning thirty three percent of leagues. It made no sense. I was shocked to see d J. Moore slightly under fifty of leagues. I was stunned to see Anthony Miller slightly over fifty percent of leagues. It didn't make sense

to me. Like the fact that Trey Kawon Smith is over his own more than Kiki and d J Moore Anthony Miller shocked me, really didn't. That's just that's people buying into the Saints offense right and and Drew Brees and rightfully so um and I'm not surprised by that because I mean, and even Tray Kwon Smith's ownership percentage should jump this week, but it's not surprising. I saw

last week. The reason I wrote about Kiki in the Best Fantasy five, the five players that I'm higher on than the consensus, was he was owning less than thirty percent of leagues. And like, guys, don't forget what Kiki did when he was healthy with Shawn Watson in the two games where he was really healthy and thriving, fifteen targets against the Colts, and then he had seven targets the next week against the Cowboys, and he holds in a touchdown that week as well. And what did he

do this week? All he did was lead the team and targets on a a team that has DeAndre Hopkins as their wide receiver. One led the team in receiving yards as well, so I had the same amount of receptions as DeAndre Hopkins. Deshaun Watson likes this guy, and and he should after tomorrow, after tonight and after tomorrow, because I know some people's waivers run now Wednesday into Thursday. By Thanksgiving. Heke q ts ownership percentage should be over

at the lowest. I agree with this, mad This made sense to me, Um, But all these guys are all very similar. I think they all have the ability to be UH high end wide receiver. Threes in all honesty, DJ More, Anthony Miller, well going, John, that's where he's coming next. Uh? DIDG Moore Anthony Miller? J Moore, did you agree with him getting drafted in the first round? I don't remember. I think I don't like wish you washing like, No, he's not really a first round wide receiver. Yea.

I thought he was a high and wider second round widter sper like. I thought Calvin Ridley should have went ahead of him, So I was very surprised when he didn't. Um More, Anthony Miller, track, and you got to Josh Reynolds in there as well. I think this is a good crew of guys. I would love to know how you rank it, Frank, Yeah, so I think it's I think it's a good question. Um So I'll start with I think number one on this list. For me, it's actually it's it's gonna be your guy. It's gonna be

d J. Moore. I put d J. Moore first on this list. It's forty forty nine percent owned flashed his upside of what he can be when he's targeted heavily. And I mentioned this yesterday. Devin Funtis is an unrestricted free agent this year for the Carolina Panthers. Now Curtis Samuel is coming on a little bit. They invested a draft pick in him one year ago. Uh and and the obviously they used the first round pick on d J. Moore.

So I think we're starting to see the change of guard here at the wide receiver position for the Carolina Panthers. And d J. Moore was tied for the team lead with eight targets over a hundred and fifty yards. He's a nightmare after the catch. I mean, this guy is a yack monster. He's extremely explosive. Called a touchdown in this game, called a touchdown on Darius Slay, one of the better cover corners in the NFL. So I think it's very close when we're talking about we're splitting hairs

here between which wide receivers we want. But I think d J. Moore is a guy who can have a consistent role with the Carolina Panthers for the rest of the season. I know Cam Newton spreads the ball around, but he's he's starting to he's starting to develop that rapport with d J. Moore, and obviously the draft pedigree is there with him. Next up, I'm gonna go with I know he's on by, but I'm gonna take Josh Reynolds. Man. I was. I was intrigued by what I saw in

this performance. He was targeted eight times. Yes it was behind Brandon Cooks, and yes it was behind Robert Woods, but still had eighty receiving yards, had a touchdown. There was a point in this game where whether it's in the third or fourth quarter, I tweeted out last night, he was leading the team in targets, receiving yards, and receptions. And then obviously Brandon Cooks and Robert Woods had strong fourth quarters. But he was used heavily in this game.

And it's a very very potent offense. So he's again he's not gonna do with Cooper Cup did exactly. But I mentioned that he can be a top thirty six wide receiver. He can be a wide receiver three in this offense. I do believe that. So I'll rank Josh Reynolds uh number two on this list. It's close, man, It's it's close between Tray, Kwan Smith, and Kiki because I think Tray Kwan on any given week has higher

upside than Kiki QT. But I'll take Keiki just because of what I think he's gonna provide floor wise every single week. Think he's gonna be involved, especially for PPR. He's in the wide receiver three conversation to Marius Thomas, put this guy in the back of a milk carton. He was nowhere to be found in this game. Wasn't even targeted a single time. And I just read to you what Kiki QT did this past week in terms

of his usage. Next up, I'll have Trey Kwan Smith just for those games where he still plays at home against the New Orleans. I know they have a game in Dallas, so that's a game inside of a dome as well, where he might be able to do work in that matchup. But the reason why I ranked Trey Kwan Smith behind all these guys, and again, I know he has a big upside. We saw what he can do this past week, but he's only had these big

performances when he's home inside of domes. So what happens in the games where he's still at doors, he's still gonna be very boom or bust for me. So I just think that these other guys have a safer floor. You can count them more week in week out. Um, this is me splitting hairs once again. So tray Juan Smith fourth. I'll put Anthony Miller fifth. I like Anthony Miller a lot. Again. I talked about him last week, Greg and I was excited about him. He scored another touchdown.

He's an absolute gamer. He's a good route runner, strong hands, and again the Bears traded up to get him, so obviously they're going to use him. But I just think that there's more volume with some of these other offenses. The Bears don't throw all that much. We saw Taylor Gabriel get involved again this week. Allen Robinson is there, Toreko when is there? So there's a lot of mouths to feed. I like Anthony Miller a lot. I think

he deserves to be in this conversation. It's really those five guys, and then much lower down the list is Bruce Ellington. If you're just really desperate when you're suffering from the Marvin Jones injury, he was targeted nine times. He had six receptions for fifty two yards, So this is a desperation call. He's much lower than these others. But this group of five wide receivers is really really bunched up and it's hard to split hairs. But I'll

rank dj more number one. Greg. Yeah, so for me, And it was a really good breakdown all of that, Frank and I understand it. For me, I'm probably gonna go in a bit of a different direction. I think they're gonna go with. I've listened to shows where they ranked tra kuon Smith number one, and I understand it because it's the Saints offense. We just saw what his upside was. Thirteen targets, ten receptions. It's hard to argue that. I just think he's gonna be a little bit boom

or bust depending on where he's playing that week. For me, i'm gonna have out of these five guys, I'm gonna have Anthony Miller ranked last. I would think, Um, I think that the upside is just capped, like like he's not getting these huge yards chunks. He's scoring touchdowns three of his last five games, but you're not gonna see like a ten for a hundred games Randony million, like that, that's not possible. So he's gonna be five for me. Four's gonna trade Kulan Smith. He's amazing at home, you

want to use in whatever he's home. But on the road it's a little bit of a different story. It's not necessarily the track me and I think there's just a little bit of bus potential here compared to some of the other three guys. So, um, I'm gonna have ant tray Kuon Smith ranked four at number three. For me, as I continue to go backwards, these are much closer. Like I think these three are closer than the other two, at least for me, I have them four or five

pretty pretty easily. Um for me at number three, I think you're gonna go with DJ Moore at three. Oddly enough, I know who's your number one guy, but I think at um, I think at number three, I have DJ Moore only because Greg Olsen's presidence is there. CJ. Mccafy, Um, Christian McCaffrey is the number one option no matter what in that offense. After Christian McCaffrey, you have Greg Olsen, you have Devn Funches, and maybe d J Moore is

the number one option. Now, maybe maybe that's the truth, and maybe we're right, And we talked about that yesterday, but he's gonna be number three for me. At number two, it's gonna be Josh Reynolds because Josh Reynolds is the third option in the officense, but it's the best offense in the NFL. We saw what he could do last night, and if he's using like Cooper cup role, he's gonna be a league winner. And I'm gonna be very depressed.

And I admit everything I have for Josh Reynolds a couple of weeks ago, which leaves a number one for me. My guy, k qt e key, do you love me? I did? How much I love Kiki Man. I think he's just the ever reliable slot receiver for the Houston Texans to Marius Thomas has proven to be an absolute nothing slot Yeah, I was good. He's going to be an absolutely nothing in this offense thus far. And you know, DeAndre Hopkins is the alpha male for sure. But it's

just slot thoughts, spot Stot. It's not stot slot everybody, nice, nice, Greggy the year of the slot. We're coming up with songs on the fight here. I will mention Greg d. J. Moore's upcoming schedule Seattle this week, Tampa Bay the best, third most fantasy points. Cleveland the tenth most fantasy points to wide receivers, New Orleans the most, Atlanta the fourth most. Week seventeen is the Saints again an upcoming schedule really good, beautiful,

fair enough. The wide start was very close. Take your pick to make sure you get one of them. All right, all of them. We're gonna sign. We're gonna signed off YouTube. Now come up next, Fantasy Football Frenzy, The Corey, Jim and the Closer Chris vent Shra. If you're listening to the podcast, subscribe like rate us five stars and leave a comment you're listening a lot on the radio. Will go another five minutes or so. Frank, I do want to get to the tight ends before we get to

the streaming defenses. Um, the tight end position. I'm going back to my man Cameron Ray O. J. Howard believed to have a high ankle sprain potentially. Um, we know Jamis Winston's back in the saddle. Jamis Winston, No no, O J. Howard. Very good combination for Cameron Bright. Yeah, absolutely,

I agree with that one. Uh. And he's only owned in about nineteen percent of leaks, which is actually higher than I thought it would be considering these other ownership percentages for a tight end, But I agree with you. Cammon Brad, Jamis, Winston, Ran Fitzpatrick, whoever has been in there. They liked to throw to the tight end. They utilize that position. We know that Winston and Braid, you know,

I've had a rapport in years past. Hasn't necessarily been there this year, but they like throwing to the tight end in Tampa. So if O. J. Howard is down, expects expects to miss time. Cameron Brad, at least for this week, looks like he is is the number one AD at the tight end position. I will mention John hut Smith, while he didn't score a touchdown this week,

was targeted U target heavily in this game. He had what six for forty five, not a not a great yardage game, but in PPR you get ten points out of your tight head and he's been in He's been involved in the red zone all the other weeks leading up to this past week where he know again he didn't score a touchdown, but was good for a PPR. I'll mentioned John h Smith. Then the overly man, Antonio Kates, coming off his best game of the season eight yds

in a touchdown. He's behind these other two definitely, but I think he was worth mentioning just based on based on the performance he had the Rams tight ends. Um mentioned at the top of the show. Do you pick those guys up over over a Cameron Braid or John No, I'm gonna I'd rather have Cameron Brad, I'd rather have John new Smith. But I'll take them over Rants. I'll take them over over Rands, I'll take them over Antonio Gates. It's a crap shoot there, like I have Would you

have it? Who would you rather have? The guys were mentioning this week, the Rams, John new Cameron, Brad Gates or my man, let's do it more time? Can you take me high man? I'll definitely take Brayton, John new Smith. He's like in that conversation with the Rams guys, they have more, they have more upside. Would He's in the same categories Gates? Okay, sorry, okay, you were the hire man. We're the highest man. Alright. Streaming defenses for this week.

I spoke last week by the Buffalo Bills and the Bills go forward? Did they sneaky good defense? Next three weeks they get the Jags Dolphins and Jets can't so much better than that. So I like the Bills a lot this week. I like the Patriots certainly this week against the Jets. Those are my two favorite of the ones who probably could stream where you looking, Frank, Yeah, I want to throw the Chargers out there. They're likely widely owned already, but they're facing the Cardinals if they're

still out there in your league. They got Joey Bosa back. I believe he played something like, uh like thirty snaps in this game. Uh. And the Cardinals offenses has been great all season long. Josh Rosen is gonna be prone to get sacked and get so I like the Charges a lot. Uh. And then I'll mention the Colts just because they played really well last week against the Tennessee

Titans at home, and they get the Miami Dolphins. You don't know if it's gonna be Tannehill or Brock Osweiler, but either way, Dolphins offense is not scaring a lot of people. And then the Cowboys, who you know, have been up and down this year. They started off really hot, and there was like a stretch where like they weren't playing well they didn't perform against the tight ends and the Eagles UM, but then they did well this past

week against the Falcons. They have a strong pass rush and they're going up against Washington, who their offensive line is decimated, and they're playing with Colton McCoy is their quarterback on Thanksgiving. So I think those are kind of the five streaming defenses this week. I like the Cowboys against Washington, all right, So there you go. I also, if you're you're absolutely desperate, um, who else do they

pick up? There's there was I was I'm desperate in leagues that the Cardinals defense I picked up last week. So I put in a cleaning of the Browns against the Bengals, which is heat frank Um the Browns of the Bengals and the Mond Browns defense showed up played well against the Falcons before the bye week. And then I also put in the Seahawks as well. Seahawks Greggy the twelve man on the road in Carolina? In Caroline, are you out of your mind? Greg? Hey, it's been

in the Cardinals against the Charger. Yeah, that's my thought on all right, So there you go. That's our show today, really good one. We hope we helped. We'd love to find out who you got who you dropped? Uh and and hey, tomorrow could be the last trade deadline edition of the programs. You want to watch, that for sure. For Frank Stample, my name is Greg saw In The Fantasy Football Frenzy comes your way next with Corey Parson, Jim Day and Chris Svenca. Have you great afternoon, Get

those waiver wire claims in. I'll see you right back here tomorrow, we hope.
