This is everything on the line. Week sixteen, the Fantasy Football Championship. Week fifteen is in the books.
Slobber knocker last night, Greg, I hope you took the over. Just kidding the Panther Saints game last night. Uh, that's that's the bet everyone loved, Greg, That's the bet everyone loved. Twelve nine your final score. But at least we gotta pick two out of the game. You don't see that. You don't see the pick too often. You don't see that.
Probably the most fun part of that game last night, And unfortunately for you, Greg, watching Cam Newton suck once again, watching Alvin Kamara do awesome once again, it was not fun for you. No, sorry, Bud. Not a great night. You got the next time, Greg, get him next time, semifinals. He made it to the semifinals. Man. Not many people can say that, especially on this network. Nothing the playoffs. This yeah, not about the payoffs. It's whether you finish
or not. Brutal, man, brutal. I'm sorry, man, you know what I really touchdown? I thought you had a good shot to you know, for those wondering what's going on? What you had a two point lead, right, two point lead, Cam Newton versus Alvin Kamara in a standard league. Something seriously seriously wrong with Cam Newton right now. I think we realized that last night. Pretty cool tweet from Josh Norris about uh the NFL next sin stats. They have charts now which show you how far down the field
each throw has gone for a quarterback. Cam Newton attempted one throw that was longer than fifteen yards down the field last night. And you know, we always noticed this watching the way that Cam Newton throws a football, which leads to a lot of his inaccuracies. But this is something that, like the Money Night broadcast was hammering into your head all night long, was well, he uses his whole entire upper body to throw the ball. It's really kind of an awkward throwing motion for Cam Newton, but
it looked even more awkward last night. I wouldn't be surprised if, you know, he sits out these last couple of games, because what are they playing for at this point? Yeah, I don't think they really have a like a shot to make the playoffs anymore, right, No they don't. They asked Robert Rivera about that after the game last night. They're gonna just shut Cam down given what given when he looked like given clearly not healthy, and ultimately Rob riveriss, no,
we have no plans to do that now. Of course, take twenty four hours, reevaluate where you're at. That obviously could change, but it would surprise me. Cam Newton comes to mind. Aaron Rodgers comes to mind, also, as someone that could sit out here. This week, we saw the line of the Jett game moved very very quickly that they were the Jets. Yesterday the game opened up as Green Bay Lane, three points on the road. It's down to pick him so and you wonder if they know
something before we do. And it seems like that's the way that it's training right now. My j E. T s problem is I don't really want them to win any games right now. Surprisingly enough, we'll talk about that game later on, but the Packers Jets, that's where you're gonna find a lot of your waiver wire gems this week. Greg, Yeah, absolutely, and that that's really where what will start. And I think it's actually a really good spot to start because
waiver wire jams. I want to stick with the quarterbacks here, Frank, because if I Rodgers doesn't play, Cam Newton doesn't play, and you're in the finals somehow, Cam Newton is your quarterback and maybe less less shockingly without Rodgers quarterback. If these two guys are out and you have them where you need a streamer for whatever reason, something happened to your quarterback. You've been streaming guys. You want to make a change Sam Donald is somebody that you can actually
turn to, right. I mean, I don't know if we're if we're there yet, but yeah, I mean Cam Newton, Aaron Rodgers. You're gonna have to find some quarterbacks hopefully. You know in your league, you'll notice ownership percentages are all over the place at this point, because really there's only two teams left playing, so you know, there's not a lot of people still making ad drops. So it might look like those running rookie r backs are still available,
guys like Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, even Baker Mayfield. I think we would all point you in the direction of those guys first, but we've been talking about those guys for weeks, Greg, so there's chances are that those players are not available anymore. So yeah, we are looking at, you know, the the next man up, so to speak,
in Sam Donald. And look, he played he played his ass off last week, Greig against the Houston Texans, a defense that you know, all right, the way to attack the Houston Texans is through to the secondary, but they have a phenomenal pass rush, and what Sam Donald was able to do consistently throughout that game was evade the pass rush, get outside the pocket. And you know, something I like to see from his development already is that he's keeping his eyes down the field, he's getting outside
the pocket and making plays with his arm. So the Packers secondary is not one that scares me all that much. And just looking at what Sam Donald did last week, what through for two fifty yards through for two touchdowns, added an additional thirty rushing yards on the ground, So this is like really like slim pickings this week. Again, the other rookie quarterbacks we like more, not Josh Rosen,
but Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Baker Mayfield. But if those guys are taking you're playing a super flex league. You'll lost Aaron Rodgers or Cam Newton. Again, we're just speculating, but I'd be surprised if those guys play. Sam Donald looks like the next man up, greggy, Sam Donald us look like the next guy off, And it's possible. Um, he's the only one out there now. I was looking this morning. Josh Allen is actually still available in over fifty of CBS Sports dot com leagues. But do you
trust the ownership percentages? That's the thing, because there's only like two or four teams still making waiver pick and you you you're in thousand percent, right. But a lot of the other quarterbacks that I looked at, Lamar Jackson, UM, Dak Prescott, some of the names that we've gone over over the basketball of weeks. I mean, they're only five percent of leagues, right, so those guys are owned exactly. Josh Allen was the one that people still have question marks.
And he only ran for like nineteen yards this week, but one of those runs were for a touchdown. He also through for a touchdown. So Josh Allen's gotta be that first choice. I think he's just played really really well. Uh faces New England this week. Um, but he's played too well, and he's Chris Bencher said it, I'm benching Cam Newton for Josh Allen this week. He was like, you've been saying it for weeks. I'm bending Aaron Rodgers for Josh Allen this week. And you've been right when
he said for Tom Brady you weren't. But that's okay. But Josh Allen overall, he's the quarterback. He's the guy if you need one this week. Sam Donald certainly could be the next man up and We're gonna talk about this game a lot, and Frank put up a poll in regards to defenses this week. We'll get to that in just a few minutes. But Derek Card for Oakland. What could be the last game for the Raiders in
Oakland on Monday Night. Imagine having your quarterback on Monday Night football with everything on the line, Frank, true story. Oakland also played Monday Night last Fantasy Finals one year ago. This week, it was the Oakland Raiders and the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night. From the link, Michael Crabt, you put up a zero in that game. Crossed a lot of people. Great. I had him in my lineup. I had already clinched going into Monday Night, so I was
fine he put up a zero. Disaster disaster. Yeah, we did get a response. You know, put up that Twitter poll asking which defense you like most, because I think it's really close. Right, There's not really just one defense that stands out this week. Last week we were all over the Falcons. We recommended the Bills and a Lions as well, Greggy, But just looking at the defense for this week, it's you know, the Titans. Um, the Titans are playing the Washington football team. The Cowboys are at
home against Tampa Bay. You got the Broncos in Oakland, so we'll talk about that game as well. But there was an interesting point about you know, we gotta response saying this is the this could be or I think it will be the last game in Oakland. So the Raiders are gonna be fired up, there's no doubt about that. You know the crowd is gonna be crazy there. Uh does that differ you from almost using the Broncos defense because you have to assume that the Raiders are gonna
put up some points in the spot. Yeah know in that poll that you put without Frank, you gave me enough alternatives, right. It wasn't like it's the Denver defense or Boss that nobody else has good match. There's a lot of defenses that are going to be out there that aren't owned, that aren't stashed away, that I think you'll have the ability to pick up. And I think, really, everyone, this is the one pole that you honestly put up
all season. I know it's like a ridiculous powl, just the defense and weeks sixteen, but I didn't know who to choose. I really had no idea who to choose in this one. So I think there's other options as of right now, say the Titans, So you know, fine, the public that people are voting here are they're a little bit more in on the Titans than than we are. But obviously the Dolphins at home playing against Jacksonville Cody Kessler that they're also in play of the Cowboys at home.
The hot Boys defense going up against Tampa Bay. You know that Jamis Winston could be turnover prone at times. Um, the Bucks offense did not do much against the Baltimore Ravens a week ago, and I think the Cowboys it's a nice little bounce back spot for the him at home coming off a los for like I shut out against the Indianapolis Colts. I'm sure they'll be up for the for that game, Greg and I need them to be up for that game because I have the Bucks season under six and a half. The Bucks are at
five wins right now, just lose one. How about them Cowboys? I need the Cowboys to win this game this week. I'm sure a lot of people are in the same boat. I also had the Dolphins under for the year. That is out the window. Oh man, I don't really want to say the final one. I don't want to say alright, no, I don't want to say it. I had the Jets over. The Jets over six most you know they can get to at least six wins. But if you look back at it, did get shot over. They didn't get into seven. No,
well at least six. I mean it's a push. Then if you get to six to push, oh there's six, not six and a half. So the shot they were in a lot of clothes, you still have a shot to push. It's not gonna happen. Actually, maybe playing week's seventeen. I'm not Jets fan. I don't know. I don't think you have to be Jets fans. Might betsins. Maybe maybe the Patriots bench all their guys right, Probably not, probably not gonna happen. It might be the Packers though, which
would actually suck for draft pick wise. Do you have any other quarterbacks before we move on the year, considering picking up this week? If necessary? Again, super flex, just throw his name out there. Josh Johnson two owned going up against Tennessee. I know, you know we're talking about the Titans defense and how much we like them. It's just really because the Washington is a net on offense.
Right now, they're putting up They're not putting up a lot of points with Josh Johnson, but when it comes to Johnson's and that at least forty five rushing yards and back to back games. Here, I'm looking at my home league. It's a four point passing touchdown league. He's given you at least fifteen Fantasy points in two games. So this is just like a hail Mary, like super flex. If Rogers or Cam Newton doesn't play, if Sam Donald, then like every other quarterback is owned, I'll just throw
Josh Shotnson's name out there. Josh actually came to my mind. One more quarterback, and I have on my list Morga's Mariota against in that same game. Actually, I know that on problem with Mariota is the botto has been nothing over the past two weeks. There, I say, I like Josh Shahnson more than macause what's working for the football? Turn and slam that rock into the stomach of Derrick Henry times a game. His snap percent is Derrick Henry up to this past week. We've seen what he's done
over the past two weeks. Now this is two years in a row, Greg, where towards the end of the season, Derrick Henry starts to take over. Now we're going to fall for this again. All right, We're we're gonna carry this over to the next year, and we're gonna say
this is the breakout season coming for Derrick Henry. Maybe it's just if you look at the snap percentage in the way he was used, maybe they purposely did that where all right, well, we'll kind of save him for the end of the season where everyone else is kind of banged up football the game of Attrician where he's kind of just banging everybody around. You saw him that long run against the jack Bards. No one wants to tackle this guy. It seemed like no one wanted to
act last week against the Giants either. So maybe this is by design kind of save Derrick Henry and keep him fresh for the end of the season. Two years in a row. I know the idea of that. I just can't buy it, because you need to win games. You need to win games early, need to win against late. Why wasn't getting twenty plus carries? Are you single game
this year? And why did it take it down? I don't know fourteen for Derrick Henry to get unleased, and I have the same questions for a guy like, you know, Mike Williams with Los Angeles. Well, and that only happened because Keenan Allen got hurt. Yeah, but like, why hadn't he been on least he's clearly awesome. He's awesome. Yeah, So I don't know with guys like Derrick Henry. Next, I think that you know, we are very recently bias.
What have you done for me lately? We'll see what they did at the end of this season, and we'll carry that over into next year. And I wouldn't be surprised if Derrick Henry starts to climb up into the fifth fourth round again next season. We said it on Friday, will say it again. With Tyro Williams being a free agent, Mike Williams, that ADP is going to just skyrocket again
and they could bring back Tyroll Williams. But to me, you use what a top six seven overall pick on Mike Williams, I think you kind of want him to be the number two wide receiver in your offense. So to me, it seems like Tyrolle Williams is gonna end up somewhere else a team that needs a burner, a guy that could get on the defense. I'm not sure the Chargers really need to pay him when they have
guys like Mike Williams Hunter Henry. To bring up Hunter Henry as a possible ad because you know he's returning to practice. Stephen A. Smith. Have a little bit of a crystal ball here now as a possible adds. You're turning to practice for the playoffs. This is why you're turning into practice. He will not play in the regular season. There's no where, there's no reason too. How about this though, if you're playing in a dynasty or keeper league, it's kind of scoop him up right now if no one?
I mean so, so, here's the thing, right you're acting. There's a three week window when it comes to Hunter hen right where they have to activate him. That'll be a week, fifteen weeks, sixteen weeks, seventeen, there's twenty one days right there. Boom, you activate him on the Tuesday. Uh, you active him on Tuesday going into the first round of the playoffs. If you're playing in there and you have Hunter Henry back for the playoff, that is what
he's back for makes sense? Yeah, And I look, I really hope Philip Rivers comes back for at least one more years. Kind of the time where you know, yesterday we speculated will Drew Brees be back next year? Philip Rivers? Yeah,
it's just me. It's just me. But um yeah, Philip Rivers again, I mean, why wouldn't you just We're gonna start talking a lot more about, you know, next year as weeks go on, because you know, a lot of people that are tuning in, Yes, they're still tuning in for to find out about the playoffs, who they should add, who they should start, But a lot of people who are still just sticking around, they want to know, like,
all right, well, what's gonna happen next year? The Chargers offense, Craig, I mean, I think you wanted as much exposure to that offense as you could possibly get from Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Hunter, Henry Um, Melvin Gordon, Austin Ekeler, Philip Rivers, just lots of lots of fun pieces for fantasy heading into next year. I don't know, really, just thinging off the top of my head. Is there a more complete fantasy offense that you want a piece of heading into
next year. Because Hunter Henry, if he didn't get heard, he was gonna be a top five drafted tight end this year. So you're gonna have a top five tight end, you're gonna have a top let's say, top eight, top ten wide receiver, you have another let's say, top twenty four wide receiver drafted, and then another top five running back. Is there a more complete fantasy offense heading into next season the side of the Chargers, Yeah, I'd say so, I will. I think he's in terms of like including
the tight end. Well, and I realized that. Otherwise, you go to the Rams because the Rans have three wide receivers right the same amount of players. Um, you go to the child You go to the Chiefs, who have a tight end. They have they have a quarterback. Chiefs they have whatever whoever is starting running back. I don't care. Um, they don't. They don't have that second one. They don't have that second wide receiver. Though I was an issue.
Pittsburgh comes to mind. They have a running back, a quarterback,
to wide receivers, Jesse James kind of whatever. There the top three most complete fantas offense without question, without question, um, speaking of a complete fantasy offenses, we want to complete your fantasy offense for this weekend if you're in your fantasy playoffs, still in the finals, because it is week sixteen now, Frankie, what I wanted to get into here is the running backs, and I wanted to make sure that you were playing, you're recognizing which injured players are
well out, they are out for good. And that starts where we started with the quarterbacks in that Green Bay, New York game, specifically with Aaron Jones, who it looks like it's going to miss the rest of the season, which means it all comes full circle. You started the year and Jamal Williams is the starting running back in Green Day. You end the fantasy football season with Jamal
will Is the starting running back in Green Day. Frankie, it didn't work out well for me on any of my teams, which is all of them where I drafted Jamal Williams and I went with him. Will it work out in the fantasy finals? Do you trust Jamal Williams in the finals? Trust is a strong word, especially this time of year, but again due to the injuries and under performance this time of year, look at what Jamal Williams just did in terms of snaps, what he played
eight seven percent of the snaps. He has legit workhorse. And I think the fact that the Packers signed Capri Bibbs today off waivers tells you that Aaron Jones is not gonna be he I'm not gonna play in this game. It looks like he's gonna be out two years ago. Now that he's deal dealt with this m c L injury, I'm sure I'll be right back in on Aaron Jones
again next year. But I think that this m c L injury in his knee is actually starting to be something consistent, which is a concern we'll talk to about. We'll talk to dr about that in the off season and find out where that will be heading into next year. But for this week, Greg, when we up against the Jetsmal Williams last week against the Bears twelve carries fifty five yards, four point six yards could carry, had a touchdown targeted five times. In the passing game, four receptions
for forty two yards. Obviously, if Deshaun Kaiser is the quarterback into this team, the whole offense takes a hit. But just based on the fact that he played that many snaps and got that big workload. We'll be in on jamal Wi. We will be and I'll tell you where I am next. So I walked back into the studio and I there's a big billboard outside and I went that this is where I screwed up on the graphicspartment and send the picture to Martine who could have showed it. Um, but there's a big billboard outside that says start your New Year's off of the Bang and then order new room service Hotels dot com. I was like, whoa that is It's pretty good. That's good. That's pretty good. That is suggestive. I like it. Sexcels

the right. Jamal Williams, I asked you if you trust him, he's in the circle of trust, and you said, I'll trust him as a low end RB two, which at this point of the year it's it might be harder to find Aaron Jones because I trust the talent a lot more. Regardless of matchup, he was a high end RB two, he was a low n RB one. I still had him high end RB two in last week's matchup against the Bears. We all know how that ended.
Jamal Williams stepped in and performed admirably. But I think based on the way that he was used in that game eighteen total touches, played seven percent of the snaps, he is going to be the workhorse on this offense. Could potentially be not a good offense with de Shaan Kaiser, but that might even lean towards them. UM using Jamal Williams even more because Deshan kas is the quarterback. They're not going to let him drop back and throw the ball thirty times. So I think Jamal Williams is in
a good spot in terms of workload usage. It's an okay matchup against the Jets. I think he's a low one RB two. This week was your number one wave wire add So that was the question I had right like, who is who would you rather have this weekend? Jamal Williams or Kalin Ballage. Definitely Jamal Williams because with Kalen Ballage it's like, I don't trust Adam Gaze as far as I could throw them. Actually I might be able to throw Adam Gaze kind of far. I don't know
how big Easy looks. I don't know. It looks kind of like a scrawny dude. But um, speaking of Adam Gaze. By the way, Gregor, I mean, this is just you know, all year long, this has kind of been my thing. It's like me versus Adam Gaze. Like I love Kenyan Drake, he clearly doesn't. Chris Eventra loves Kenyan Drake. Adam Gaze clearly doesn't. Greg King of went to a rage cage over the weekend. You know what a rage cages? Rage
cage no idea. So basically, they give you a bat, they give you crowbar, they give you a bunch of weapons, and you get to beat up a bunch of stuff like keyboards. Heard about TV you might have, Dude, I want to go inside a rage cage where everything is Adam Gaze's face, and I want to do it while wearing a Kenyan Drake jersey. Like that's really what I
want to do. I read some stuff about this that I actually what like Kenyan Drake and Adam Gaze, all right, what you read he basically feels that Kenyan Drake doesn't know how to run his plays and whose job is to teach him. And he also feels like he's a terrible pass blocker. That might be true, so he was a mon early downs anything else, That's what I read.
I also read something that says like he doesn't trust Kenyan Drake to get positive yardage or something like apparently when Kenyan Drake is on the field, they get negative plays and that sets them up for like second and long and third and long, so on and board. But if you look at the numbers, like Kenyan Drake has been right there with Frank Gore in terms of like efficiency, which is crazy to say Frank or has actually weren't officially this year, but they're both over four yards per carry.
Kenyan Drake has scored pretty much all of the running back touchdowns this year. Before last week, he was the only running back on the roster with touchdowns. Calin Balloge scored the seventy five yard touchdown. We all saw that and we were hoping it was Kenyan Drake, but it wasn't, of course, because Adam Gates hates him. But with Frank Gore going down here, I understand why Calein Ballage is on the list because again Adam Gates hates and you Drake, which means that Blage is going to be in the
mix here. I think the primary guy. I don't think so. I don't think that we could trust anyone. Still, like it's probably gonna be, you know, twelve touches Camelon Blage, you know, six to eight touches for Kenyan Drake for whatever reason, and in Brandon Bolden will get like a handful of touches in this game as well, which is as completely ridiculous. Calon Blage if its flash a little bit on that one carry seventy five yards against the Minnesota Vikings. To your point, Greg Blage did touch the
ball twelve times, carry the ball twelve times. Keny Drake to carged the ball once. He did have some work in the past game. Drake did re receptions. Um. I just overall, I don't trust the matchup really, Like, I know the Jaguars are not great and what Derrick Henry just did against him a couple of weeks ago, but it's still not great matchup. I don't want to trust the Miami Dolphins loss is probably in plays like a flex running back. That's pretty much where Frank Gore has
been all season. So I think the logs kind of like just slots in in that Frank Gore role in you know, a mediocre matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. I like Jamal Williams and even Elijah McGuire for the Jets a lot more than I do blogs. Let me give you a one more name that I like more than Jamal Williams, and that's Jeff Wilson Jr. Mat Breeda doesn't play with his ankle injury. God with Jeff Wilson, Man. I know he had an altercation on Sunday. I know
his one plane did not go very well. But Matt fred is not active Wilson. You know all the touches we can he can handle. We saw what he could do a couple of weeks back. He's the guy man. I will agree with that, just based on workload, the way that he was being used in a two games without Matt Breda, he was at least twenty three touches and ye of those games at least ninety yards from scrimmage, and both of those games obviously the game that Matt
Brida we all thought was gonna play and didn't. It was like that first game where Jeff Wilson took over monster get interception game actually set season highs in terms of targets and receptions for a forty Niners running back. So I'm with you. If Matt Breeda can't go, I mean there's something will pay attention to all week long, like we have all season long. Because Matt Breeda again was kind of like limited last week, still ended up playing that game and still had a lot of touches.
Jeff Wilson actually fumbled in that game against Seahawks as well. We'll mention it's not a good matchup against the Bears. Jamal Williams just performed well, but for the most part all season long, the Bears have limited fantasy production to running back, so fum just and the Bears are still playing to try to get that by don't. They're definitely still playing. And if I just had to rank them, it would be for me, Jamal Williams still number one,
Elijah McGuire number two. If Matt Breed is out, Jeff Wilson be number three. That's really I'm just kind of like pushing him down. I know the workload would be there. It's because of the matchup against the Bears. And then number four b Klin Blash. Okay, other running backs before we move on to some wide receivers here this week, make sure Todd Gurley is active, obviously, make sure he's not he's playing. People talk about John Kelly. Kelly was the next man up. He was finally. I know that
we were speculating on Justin Davids. I think Justin David's like hurt necking, Yeah, it must have been. Yeah, it's finally John Kelly's time. And he went from being the cheap of staff to being tell gurliers back. So there you got right over my head, Greg, some kind of political joke there had to be sure. John Kelly, though, a guy will just mention this. He was a guy who like college analytics, um people who study you know, analytics for college for like pro football of focus and stuff.
John Kelly was the guy who like jumped off the paper for them because in terms of like everything that he could do, like yards after contact and a bunch of like deeper analytics like that. John Kelly the guy. Do we care who buffalo Is running back is this week? Did you see came last week? Greg? No, I know it's it's against the Patriots, but I mean even shaw McCoy hasn't been able to do anything. I know. Keith Ford is like a name. He was like the next guy up after the next, the next guy up. So
that was interesting. They were seemingly dunce like no running backs last week. But Josh Allen is your running back? No, I don't have any interest in the Bills. All right, let's move on to wide receivers here this weekend, Frank, who's your favorite wide receiver that people can plug into their lineups right now to try to win a championship. So I think we just mentioned Mike Williams off the top it has available. We don't know what's gonna happen
with Keenan Allen. The injury doesn't seem severe, but if you and Allen weren't able to go, I know the matchup is against the Baltimore Ravens, but I'm sure Mike Williams will be force fed targets in that game, so I'll just throw his name out there. I know he's already owned in a very high percentage of league, So Mike Williams if gonna playing ten team leagues or whatever it might be, I'll throw his name out there. And then I think this is close, Greg. I think it's
very close between Robert Foster and Robbie Anderson. Robbie Anderson, I talked him up last week. Um, the Texans secondary was one that you could take advantage of. I think they're in another similar spot this week against the Green
Bay Packers. Um, you know Robbie Anderson again, you know defenses, know how to play Robbie, And if you watch the games like they're playing off, they're giving him cushion and instead of like earlier on the season where he was just kind of running past people and trying to, you know, get that deep target, he's pretty much just stopping and and taking what defenses are giving to him. And you're seeing that kind of reflected in his reception total, in
his yardage total. It's not a lot of like alright, um, it's not he's averaging twenty yards per catch or whatever. Like he's being used as a PPR guy and he is the apple of Sam Donald's I right now as well. So I think it's very close between Uh. I think I would have Robby Anderson number one against against the Packers this week. But I do think Robert Foster is close a guy that we've really kind of discounted the
past couple of weeks. And I know, like his A A dot is like twenty six average depth of target pretty much, Josh Allen either runs or he just bombs it down the field. And when he's bombing it down the field, those are going to Robert Foster. So when imagine against the Patriots, where I'm sure the Bills will be playing from behind, or at least expected to be playing from behind, Robert Foster over the past five weeks has had at least ninety yards in four out of
five of those games. He scored two touchdowns during that stretch. I think, realistically, Mike Williams is not available. Robby Anderson and Robert Foster the top two wide receivers to target on the Waivelard. Yeah, so I think Robby Adderson certainly certainly makes the cut. I have been nowhere on Robert Foster. Dude, Like, I don't know where this guy came from. People are coming people were admittedly people were asking us about him
last week, and it was very dismissive. Shame. I don't really want to trust a wide receiver who's only getting a few targets per game. It's really you're depending on this guy for a deep shot with Josh Allen. But that's what Josh Allen does well. It's either he runs it or he throws the deep shot. And he's taking at least a few of these deep shots per game down the field to Robert Foster. And look, you can't
deny the production at this point. Whether he's just getting three or four targets or you know, whatever it might be, he is producing at least ninety four yards in four of his last five games. So you know, I will dismiss Robert Foster no more. And I think it's a solid matchup, good spot against New England Patriots. I don't think you can dismiss him anymore. I think he's now um going over a hundred yards and what three of his last five games along those lines, so at least
ninety four and four out of five. Okay, So it's it's been impressive since Josh Allen got back into the saddle as starting quarterback. Same with Sam Donald and Robby Anderson. I think those are just two combinations that are simply real and we have to buy into them right now. You need him as a flex play. You gotta do
what you gotta do. You have some tough injuries and now I guess the real question I have is like these type of guys, you Robbie Anderson, your Robert Foster's, do you use them over like the Calvin Ridley types? If you're in the finals with Calvin Ridley, you gotta right, yeah, definitely, yeah. What what have you done for me lately? Calvin Ridley? It has been very you know, if he doesn't score
a touchdown. He's very touch ondependent basically. That's where like the guy is not going out there and putting up huge reception totals, target totals, um uh yard totals. Yeah, and it seems like every single week there and and Matt Ryan has always done this. There's like some Joe Schmo catching a touchdown for them justin hardy. Um. I don't know. I feel like Marvin Hall, I don't even know if he's still with the team, but like randomly scores a touchdown. Mohammed san Now is still kind of
using there. So yeah, I think that's a good one to throw out there. I haven't done running back wide receiver rankings yet, but I'm sure you know I'll have Robbie Anderson and Robert Foster and that makes high end wide receiver three where you know, I want to trust these guys. I'll throw them to Patrick out there as well. Both Broncos wide receivers Tim Patrick and Dashawn Hamilton, who the targets have been there for. And Courtland Sutton. No,
don't do it anymore. I mean, if you made it this far with Courtland Sutton in week sixteen, I don't want to have to trust him. I just don't think that his play style goes well with what case Keenum does. It's interesting because that's gonna be a really weird name going into next season, like what you do about Courtland Sutton, because the hype was so high and he really really flounder given the opportunity this last few games of the season.
He's gonna really tough name undrafted. I think he's very Josh Jockson esque. It doesn't isn't that what it reminds you of, though. He's not like a big guy who should be using the red zone and catch touchdowns. Maybe not a ton of separation between him and the defense. You know, still kind of seems like he's not a polished route runner either, kind of a guy that's just supposed to go up and win the fifty ball. But case Keenum isn't that guy. Even going back to last year,
you'd like to target the slot a lot. And you know, I brought this up Dashawn Hamilton's back to back weeks double digit targets. He is, Uh, it's very Bruce Ellington asked what he's doing right now where he's getting a lot of receptions, not getting a lot of yards. But I think for PPR, I think he's in play as a wide receiver three, especially against the Oakland Raiders. Just a lot of wide receiver to Tyler boyd Um. They've
struggled against slot receivers. So I do think I do like I like Dashawn Hamilton's the most of the group. Markets are there, the receptions are there, the yard is not very high, catching a lot of passes close to the line of scrimmage. But if I had to rank the Broncos wide receivers, it would be Hamilton's. Tim Patrick. I think he has to be at this point. He has to be. He's just done the least and like you say, what have you done for me lately? Nothing
is the answer. Nothing thing. At least you know DaShan Hamilton's going to be targeted seven Tariot's back to back games, like you know that's going to be there. So to me, it's Scott to be Hamilton's, then Patrick, then Sutton with the Denver guys, but we you know, we don't really want any But I don't want to mess this Denver Oakland game one day night. That's terrible. It's not the worst matchup though, right, No, it's the Oakland Raiders. I
don't I just know how to mess with us. And you know what on the other side of the football, the Outland Raiders. Jordy Nelson, Gregg, I'll just throw his name out there. You talk about coming full circle, greg On right now is Jordy Nelson. But you look at the last three weeks, at least seven targets in each game,
at least six receptions in each game. He's been eighty eight yards forty eight yards against Pittsburgh a little bit of a tougher matchup than ninety seven yards against Casey, So at least eighty eight receiving yards in two of his last three games. The receptions have been there for Jordy Nelson. Dare I say I'll throw his name out there as a wide receiver three as well this week? It all comes down to this and what you mentioned, Greg, with guys like Alvin Ridley take the name off the
back of the jersey. Has you've been doing that the past couple of weeks? Do you want to trust one of these guys or do you want to trust one of these waiver wire wide receivers who have actually been producing the past couple of weeks forty Nelson, Robbie Anderson, Tim Tim Patrick, Robert Foster. I'm going with those guys. Take it a break. We take your calls when we try to eight four or four eight four or three six eight seven nine. If not, we'll answer your YouTube

Was playing the um thing they have on face draft teams that you know this um and that'll down captain playing the show down. Yeah, I went
to blocks. Wow. Yeah, it's not big, but I wanted something. Finally got nice little toasted bagel with butter right there, Bobby, I took marking room right, and I took the Panther. I had him as my um. Oh, it's called as my should captain. I mean I should have kept Mars my camp and then Panthers Saints is my flex and Drew Weez as my He did do good at door, so he sucked. He sucked. Do good when they go out trying cold weather, Bob, what happened to the Giants

We'll talk to you next time. Thanks, Bobby four A four three, six, seven nine. Let me move on to Tyler in Nova Scotia. Let's up, Tyler? Tyler? What's up? Man? Um? I just had a quick receiver question and a tight end question the receivers like I
got Holiday Allen Robinson and Dave Shawn Hamilton's. I was wondering if I should plug in either Robbie Anderson or the guy from the Bills and Spad So Golliday Golliday Allen Robinson. So Golliday is going up against the Vikings this week. Not the best matchup, but we just kind of saw Holliday's matchup proof Man again and then Allen Robinson the Bears going up against San Francisco another pretty good matchup. But I was, you know, I was a little bit let down by Allen Robinson last week. I
thought he would have a better game. Who was who was the last name you mentioned? Robert Foster and Robby Anderson, Allison Hamilton. Basically, the question is do you start Robbie Anderson? Do you start Robert Foster over either Allen Robinson or Dashawan Hallilson. Yeah, so I would definitely use Robbie Anderson and Greg Please call me out if I if I'm off base here because you know the Jet fan j E t s Jets, Stets Jets. But I'm gonna take
Robby Anderson over Dashawn Hamilton's for sure. I know I mentioned I like Hamilton's in PPPR, but I think there's a little bit more upside the way that Robby Anderson is being used right now. Touchdowns and backs back weeks. The target to have been there, the receptions have been there,
the yards have been there. He seems to be thriving with Sam Donald, he is the go to receiver, So Robbie Anderson definitely over DaShan And then it comes down to do you go as far as to use a guy like Robert Foster over Allen Robinson, the Bears going Hamilton over Allen Robinson, then Ashan Hamilton's over Allen Robinson. Yeah, I haven't done the wide receiver ranks again as of right now, I would have I would have Kenny Golladay
number one. I think I would have Robbie Anderson on number two on this list, ahead of Allen Robinson and everyone else. And then it really comes down to all those other players. I'm really gonna have to dive in a little bit. Um. I think I like Robert Foster more than DaShan Hamilton's though, So then it really comes down to Foster versus so I Foster against the Patriots in New England, Allen Robinson against the forty Niners in
San Francisco. To me, I'm sorry, Robbie Anderson, I agree, Frank, How do you have it one to Galla Day than Robbie Anderson for that third spot? Though? I don't even think I'm considering Allen Robinson, Like, what do you what do you expecting from him? What do you want. He doesn't do anything. He doesn't do anything, so strip the name off the back of it. So what are we starting Alan Robinson for? What are you hoping for? He hasn't scored a touchdown in over a month since week ten. Yeah,
so he doesn't do anything. The targets have still been there, at least seven targets in three games straight, at least targets in you know, five of his last he's had eighty receiving twice all year. All right, No, I mean you're talking into it Robert Foster over Allen Robinson. I think that's the way to go. So I agree with Robert Foster Alan Robinson, but I think they're also gonna be a consideration for um. So Alan Robinson's last for
you on this, He's last, He's he's behind Dash. I think you can make a consideration for Dashawan Hamilton as well. With Foster. I don't know how which way I would have it yet. I think it's one of those two guys. I realized what Foster has done. This is classic safety. Yes it is in Hamid For Robert Foster. This comes down to what kind of player are you? I think Robert Robby Anderson has been safe and has had a fair amount of upside the past couple of weeks. Again,
he's second on this list. DaShan Hamilton's the targets have been their receptions have been there for PPR, so it gives you the safe floor, but the yardage hasn't necessarily been there. He scored a touchdown two weeks ago, didn't score a touchdown this week. But Robert Foster more so. All Right, the targets aren't there, but he's getting targeted down the field and he's picking up big chunks of yardage. So to me, I'll play the upside man. I'm going
for the championship. I'll play Robert Foster over Nashan Hamilton. But if you're the guy who wants the floor, it comes down to what kind of player you are. You want to play it safe, DaShan Hamilton's your guy. I ultimately agree with that. Four eight, four, three six sevens. Continue on the phones, Frank Um, Let's go to Albert in Long Beach. What's up, Albert? How about them Chargers? About the Chargers? My West Coast team. I gotta get a charges Jersey, Greg. I don't know who to get yet.
Maybe I'll get Mike get a Mike win. No, no, I'm getting Mike Williams. Now we're past that. What's going on in cool Man? I have a I have a that question. I only made it to the championship. I'm very thrilled on that regret. So I have either Goff, thank you. I have either go or I have catam Newton. I can't start Cam Newton. The thing is, it's kind of hearts trust either guy right now. But we spoke about at the top of the show. We don't even
know if Cam Newton's gonna play. We don't know what the motive is for the Carolina Panthers right now as they fall to six and eight, seemingly pushing them out of the playoff picture in the NFC. I don't really know what Cany Newton is going to be playing for here. The Panthers pretty good matchup at home against Atlanta, which all right on paper, everything like you should expect points here, I don't even know if Cam Newton's going to play.
So I'm with you, Greg, I'll use Jared Golf. Going to Arizona looks like it's it's to get right spot. We could see a lot of Todd Gurley in this game. You know, I might look as far as to say I might want to stream a quarterback really though he hasn't done anything the pass. A couple of weeks, I under talking about Allen Robins matchups to get right match up man, I had no problem with n I requested, uh. I requested Baker Mayfield on the waiver while I was
just in case. So Greg, Cincinnati is playing against the Bengals. Goddamn headphones aren't working either the Bengals. And the last time Baker face the Bengals, he threw for Oh, we got Greggy thinking a little bit. You know, Baker, you know Baker is my guy. Here's your guy. Last time Baker faced the Bengals. To put it in perspective, Greggy two fifty eight and four touchdowns. Gark Goff has done nothing, Baker, Man, give me Baker in the championship. I look, it's bold.
I know you think it's the get right spot for the Rams. I think it could be the get right spot for Todd Gurley, assuming he's healthy. I mean they might not even need him for that matchup. Again, like if John Kelly is available, I would go out and just add him like speculatively, but it's to get right spot for the Rams. Overall, I think their defense can make a lot of plays in this game. I don't know that they're gonna have to depend on Jared Goff all that much in this matchup. Greg, get it, I
get it. I think they need but they also think they need to get Jared Goff right, so I think they will. I was thinking with Jared Goov. I love Baker Mayfield. I do um. Yeah, ask another phone call here? Have allowed the most fantasy points to quarnerbacks this here, Greg, alright eight four four eight four three six seven nine actually voting before you get to the calls. Four. I'm not taking a call. I don't worry about it. It's all right for you. I can't hear anything, all right.
So before we get to the calls, you brought up an interesting tweet that Barfield tweeted that yesterday. So why don't you go ahead and print that out there to our listeners. Yeah, I want people to follow up here, whether it's via call, comment in the chat. Let us know what you're thinking as well, because I do think it's interesting. Nice little debate topic here from grhand Barfield on Twitter. Make sure you're following a lot of great stats,
a lot of great information for fantasy football. If the last two weeks have proven anything, it's that straight up head to head formats and fantasy footb need to go play all total points best ball, et cetera. Is the future reward the best teams for the full season, not the luckiest for a week. Now, Greg, what this says to me is that we should start pushing fantasy football more towards fantasy baseball, because this has been the purest
fantasy baseball argument for years. Play Road hisstory. It's the mark of the best team in fantasy baseball. You know, it encompasses all the categories. And it's not just well, if you play head to head, your team could get hot at the right time. You could win a match up here, you win a match up there, you get hot in the fantasy playoffs, and it turns out that the best team in the fantasy playoffs doesn't always win.
In fantasy baseball heads ahead and in fantasy football heads ahead, But in fantasy football, Greg, this has just been such a mainstay in the industry, in the game for so long. And I'm not saying that we can't venture outside of that, because that's you know, I like best ball formats, and I know, you know, in a lot of high stakes league in the NFFC, you know, once you make it to the playoffs, it is just playoff. It's all right. We're gonna take your average points score from throughout the
seed and your weekly points. You'll start with that. Then whenever you accrue in weeks fourteen, fifteen, and sixteen, that's your total points. And whoever has the most points from that platform at plus what you did in the regular season wins wins it all. So I see the arguments for both sides, and I would say that the better team would win if we do play it out that way. But there's a trash talking element, more so in fantasy football than fantasy baseball head to head, where it's just
it's been that way for so long. Are we really going to get to that point now where we're really talking about best ball? And just like the most points scored throughout the season starts to take over as the default. One might say for fantasy football, I don't know what you think about it. I have what I think, you know. I I like the way that we play fantasy football right now, and I'm not denying that it is a better measurement for the best overall team to go that
route is to just go buy points points scored. But if this takes away like the trash talk, you know, we get people calling in about you know, I'm facing my wife. We've had a lot of calls about that recently as well. Uh, it's just more fun to me the trash talk element head to head. How do you
feel about it, Greggy? Before I give you my thoughts, I want to say goodbye to our YouTube audience if you have a feeling on this, tweeted us at Road to underscore, Frank At, Greg Sausmon're gonnapen up the show tomorrow talking about this exact topics. We want to get your thoughts calling tomorrow, let us know where you are on this debate. You'll get my thoughts in just a moment. The frenzies up next Corey Parson, Jim Day, and Chris Ventra.
If you're listening live in the podcast, thanks for taking with us. Obviously subscribe like rate us five stars in the comment. If you're live on the radio, we also very much appreciate it. We go another four minutes. Where am I on this? I hate being the guy I'm not calling you out for, but like I hate being the guy that says, we've always done this way, but we have to do it. I don't like that, and I say that often as well, and it's not right.
And we shouldn't not change just because we've always done it this way, because changes sometimes for the better. One percent. We all like super flex more now that was not the standard ten years ago. Absolutely, I don't know if I like super flex, but yes, but yes, exactly, super flexily really good response Like PPR is another thing that is is the norm now that wasn't ten years ago.
So another thing that in my leagues that what we do is is your continuous waivers, whereas every day the waiver pile, the waiver comes goes through rather than any first come, first served. Again, that wasn't the standard. Now. Some sort of waivers m whether it's every day or twice a week or whatever, is the standard in the industry. I personally, when it comes to this is recognized almost
like an auction. That it's more fair is when thousand percent more fair, I leave every draft should be an auction because football, baseball, basketball, whatever you do, it should be an auction because you deserve and you have, You should have the right at any player you want. It's the fair. If someone has the first overall pick and they get Todd Gurley and I had no shot at him, that's kulous for no reason. It's like I had the worst record last year. It's all random draft order. You
played the Royal Rumble on a video game. That besides it. Right, that's not fair, it's it's look And ultimately, do you still want to do Auxtion after the terrible Auxtion team you had this year? It was the worst team in history. I'm the only person in this country, in this world that finished last place with Pat Mahomes and my quarterback for one dollar, right, Like, it's ridiculous, but it's fair. Like I picked my stupid, effing crafty team using the
but like I budgeted wrong. I had Odell and Antonio Brown and Patrick Mahomes and my running backs wound up being mark Ingram, Jordan Howard and Jamal Williams. Like that sucked, But that's all my fault. I had an opportunity to draft anybody, anybody, Right, that's always my auction argument. Now this when it comes to the scoring, I get it. It makes sense. It's the most fair. It's what we do in the G S T League. There's a point total, there's a winner for if you if we win the league.
But there's another substantial prize, even more substantial prize for this exact thing, average your points. We went through thirteen and in fourtune, fifteen and sixteen, wherever I the most points is your winner. We do that? Is that most fun? That's the question. Is that more fun? And my answer, quite honestly, is not. I've been ROTI history leagues. I've been in weekly leagues in baseball and basketball, and Frank and everybody watching and listening to knows, I hate it.
It's boring. If I'm playing against myself, which is essentially what you're doing in a rot Hisstory Baseball league, rot Hisstory, Basketball leave. We're not playing anybody. You're playing against yourself. And that to me is the least fun part about the game. Trying to maneuver and I'm I'm not saying it doesn't take more skill, and it does. It takes a look out of it. And I know in this game we try to take the look out of it.
I understand it, but I believe by taking the look out of it, you're taking the fun out of it. So for me, whether it's baseball or basketball or football or any fantasy sport I play, I love going head to head, even in a DFS like the contest that I choose, I'm going head to head again a hundred different people, and I may have chosen the wrong contest where my cut line is much higher than your cut line,
and that was just bad luck. I had the opportunity to choose whoever I wanted, of course, but it was bad luck. But I'm going against other people. I don't want to play in a league where i'm literally just you know, it's the same thing as it's the DFS, where just the scores that matter. That's boring. I can't trash talk like you said, I can't analyze the matchup. There's no matchup. I'm just hoping your guys don't do well.
It sucks, it's boring all that having fun, Frankie. Head to head is how you have fun, and I think the GSC does a good job of kind of incorporating both, right, Like maybe that's kind of the move right. In the D S T. We have a playoff where whoever wins that is obviously the league champion and wins the substantial amount of money. But we also have an overall prize which goes for the highest point score for the season.
So again, as I mentioned, to take your point scored from the regular season, you divide that by however many weeks you played, most leagues, whatever, thirteen weeks. You take that point total, and then you add the playoffs, so on and so forth. Overall, there you frenzies up next. We'll see tomorrow, we hope.
