You're listening to the Fantasy Sports Radio Network. Fantasy best Friends Forever, m to to to to too, to die, too too to din too yeo, says the Fantasy best Friends Forever Here the Fantasy Sports Radio Network, alongside Fraggy Standfeld. I am Greg, So what's going on? Reggy? Happy hump day here on a Wednesday, February continue talking about outfielders today. Should be a lot of fun, lot of hyped up guys that we need to get to and whether or not the hype should be real? Should it be in

this range? How do you attack these these tears of outfielders? When do you draft him? So on and so forth. But before all that, Greg, how did you sleep last night? Bud? So great? It's great. This guy, No problems sleeping, It was sus smeicster usually black night, Frank, has that ever been a thing? A su smeister? How did I sleep last night? Actually? Not too bad, not too bad? Better than that? Did you having a while? It was? It was better, It was better than usual. How do you feel?

How do you feel? Lay? Do you feel like? Feel right? Yeah? I feel I feel right. I feel yeah, energized up, I'm good to go. Kna is out of town next two nights. A lot of gears no, no, A lot of a lot of starting pictures, studying. That's that's what you got coming up here, all right. So I am, um, I'm engrossed in many things to day. Anything I know, I mean, just you know, I walk in. Greg is just in his corner. He's doing his thing. He's not talking to anybody. Usually a little bit more social, very

antisocial Greg today. So he's working on a lite. He's got a lot on his mind. We got we go on. We got a lot to go down the network. A lot of a lot of planned stuff coming up down the pipeline, which is awesome. Um, working with my blue trying to plan some draft stuff. But I'm also speaking of football. Uh, Dave Gentleman and Pat Sherman, we're speaking at the Combine today. We're gonna actually do as I said yesterday, Combine show with Venture and Jim Day tomorrow

for the second hour. Jim Day trying to learn how to play Fortnite needs needs Chris Venture's help, So please please get an update on that tomorrow. Yes, you know, you'll talk about the Combine, get everything down, but I want to know about Jim Day's Fortnite career and how Back's coming along as well. Sure, I'll ask him. He basically so that Pat Shermer basically came out and said, hey, we want Eli Manning back like he's pretty good. I'm

just like, what the hell is going on? And then Dave Gentleman came out and I was like, yeah, I don't know yet. That's kind of interesting. Yeah, we get draft somebody, we can sign somebody. I don't know. Yeah, it's kind of interesting. That's that's what Giants seven engrossed in that. There's also a testimony going on that that I've been paying attention to as well. I did see that you were watching that first thing when I walked in today. You did, did you see that some kind

of political thing I thought I saw in your laptop. Yeah, the the former lawyer for President Trump is testifying at Congress today. I sorry, I expect you to have the input. I was just I'm just letting you know what. Somebody in Congress evidently just said the words liar, liar, pants on fire. So things seemed to be going great. That's where that's where our government is today, where people are saying liar, liar, that's on fire amazingly. All right, So

on the show today, very exciting. We're going to go back into the out fielders where we were yesterday. Frankie. We got through a bunch yesterday, which I feel good about. We have through almost twenty. We have their nineteen out fielders. Pretty good for us. That's pretty over two hours, it's pretty good. Almost ten an hour, so that's pretty good. So hopefully we'll get to like another twenty today before you go. Frank is off tomorrow. So for the first hour,

I'm gonna wrap up outfielders with Venture. He doesn't know that yet, but then our number two Venture and Jim Day will join me to talk fantasy football from the combine. What we're learning things like the Eli Manning UM press conference that we just heard about. Uh, where certain prospects you can end up. We can try to work in some guests for that as well, So we'll see if

I can make that happen. But when it comes to outfielders, Frank, I want to with like guy just see a lot of hype this year if you don't mind the guy that you said came off the board pretty early in your UM Great Fantasy Baseball Invitational and someone that obviously just a couple of months ago I was very out on and I want to see if you can get me in on him. And that's y'r c l Pueak,

starting outfield with the Cincinnati's in a contract year. He's going off the board right now over the last two weeks or so any n FBC at around pick seventy round Pick seventy in the NFBC over the last two weeks or so, that's right around the guys we ended with yesterday, the Lorenzo Kane, George Springer, and Tommy Fham. And then right before guys like David Doald, Marcel Ozuna, Nick Castianos, Mitchi Hannager, and Eddie Rosario. Right spot, Frank, and what do you think of y'all? C L. Peak.

I don't have a problem with where he's going. I've seen him go a lot of fifth round range in fifteen team leagues. But I do think, you know, fifth six round even if you're playing a twelve team or makes a lot of sense. There's a lot of upside here with ya. C L. Pleeak. I agree that there's also some downside because of you know, he's kind of he's a personality. You know, he's he's had some you know, disciplinary issues over the past couple years with the Dodgers.

I believe there was a quote that came out the past couple of days that you know, Week said, you know, I was never really trying when I was in Los Angeles, So you always have to worry about that aspect when it comes to Peek. But I if he is trying, if he is motivated, you got yourself a hell of a ballplayer here in YAC Peak and when to Cincinnati, it's a better ballpark then Los Angeles. I mean, there's

no doubt about that. Pretty damn good lineup here with the Reds from Joey Vado and Scooter Jeannette and and Jesse Winker and all these other guys that were getting excited about a U. Henio Suarez y Peg is one of these guys in the middle rounds where he doesn't really hurt you anywhere. Greg, you know, he's gonna hit thirty home runs. I think he has the upside to hit thirty plus home runs this year in that ballpark.

And if he does that in that lineup, which if he's in the middle of that lineup, we're looking at good counting steps. I mean, eighty five nine r b I s a pretty solid run scored as well, and he's not a zero on the base pats either. He's gonna give you twelve to fifteen stolen bases. I think the upside for Puig is, you know, to eighty thirty plus home runs, good counting stats, fifteen stolen bases. What's

not's not? Like I think too, I think I think the upside could be even I think it'd be higher than that, Greg, Like, I think there's another level that hasn't been reached yet with that we haven't really seen since like his first second year when when he kind of like took the league by storm. I think two eighties probably not realistic. He had just batted over two eighties fourteen. That was five years ago already, Frankie, So I don't I don't know if two eighties realistic to me.

Over the last three years to sixty three to sixty three to sixty seven, that's pretty indicative. Like that hitter, he is seventy career hitter. That is because you've had a three nineteen first two years after that it was all downhill. Yeah, but that's what that's what his upside is. That's that's where his talent level could be hadn't motivated over the past couple of years. And you have to think about it like this. You kind of a lot of back and forth between him and the Dodgers, like

they wouldn't play him every day. You know, they were trying to send him messages by disciplining him and you know, not putting him in the lineup every day. He's going to play every day for the Reds. You're kind of given me the narrative that we've but like, I feel like what you're doing a little bit, frank is the narrative who we always here around Yeastale Peak and there's motivator's not motivated. He's playing for this, he's playing for that.

He said, had all this playing time this year, just like you didn't get it last year. Na. We've heard this a lot when it comes to Peak with the Dodgers. Will it change with a change of scenery perhaps, or will it all be a debacle perhaps. I don't think there's any sort of guarantee. I could say this to you if the Reds. No guarantee with anyone, no doubt.

But if the Reds are Reds are competing this year or trying to compete, if they fall out of contention, Peak is a prime trade candidate for somebody in the outfield, no doubt about that. If as here, I mean there's a lot of but everybody in this in this tip. I actually think that the Reds are going to be pretty good. I think that they're going to be close to a team. So you think even over that's a significantly better than his then he put a hundred two games,

homer seventy seventy and fift last year games. He almost matched that. I think he has the upside to be better than that. I do. I do think that the talent is there. You know. I think again, thirty home runs, he could be eight and both at least if he's batting fift in the Red's lineup, Gregg, look at this lineup.

If he's hitting right behind Votto, Suarez, Janette, which is what roster resource has right now, or even if it's kind of even if it's Janette too and Votto three and Suarez four, he's hitting between three really good players and Jesse Winker if he leaves off, even if it's not him, if it's Jose Pros, this is a great lineup and it's a lot better ballpark then playing out there in Los Angeles, and if he's motivated, I believe

this is a contract year from two. It is. That's why I say he's a prime train cadet, because a contract year. Well, even if he gets traded somewhere, he's gonna be an everyday player maybe, but I don't think he's gonna getraded again. I think that. I think the Reds are gonna I think they're gonna take a step up this year and they're gonna be better. I know you've said a lot about that. The Reds in general are are going for it. I don't know that they

have the pitching to get it done. Obviously, Alex Woodsonny Gray are now there. Um, But the outfield, and we've spoken about this before, there's a lot of names in here. There's a lot of guys. A player that is going to be motivated to play for a contract, you'd think so. But there's a lot of names. And I'll go through with with you for a moment if I if I may Yasuee, Scotty Chevler, Jesse Winker, Nick Senzel. They said they're going to play in the outfield, right, that's four

guys right there. Winker and Cenzel are part of the future. You would think, h he's Queen's Scott Cheveler part of the future. Probably not? Probably not. Who else is on that scene, anybody? I'm kempt Kemp Kemp part of the future. No, but there's another there's another guy. There's another guy that we help them win. Now you're talking about them winning. Now, that's another guy. That's five outfielders we just named. Ke Senzel has to get playing times somewhere in no way,

shape or form, in danger of not playing. He's not. We've said this before with the Dodgers. Man and then you have guys like Scott Dance, like and Andrew Tooles start for him. He's gonna play? Is playing this here for a contract? I understand. Look, I know it's narrative. Even if you don't want to go by narratives. If you look over the past couple of seasons, he's worth where he's being drafted. If he's giving you twenty five runs in fifteen stolen bases with a two six seventy averards,

he's still worth being drafted where he is. And you bacon the fact that he has this immense upside if what he's saying is true about how he hasn't been trying in the Red's lineup this year playing for a contractivations, he hasn't been trying. Come on, then the seventh game of the World Series, he wasn't trying. I mean maybe he was trying hard in the playoffs, like whatever, I don't buy any of that, man, I don't buy that. Now. Dodgers messed around him for so long over the past

couple of years, and maybe he was warranted. Oh maybe it probably was probably over me. But they had they kind of had like a back and forth, like definitely hate relationship to the he said the Miners got a new start Cincinnati. Look, even if it's narrative driven, I'm I'm buying it. I'm in if I'm if I'm in the fifth round and I need a second outfielder and Tommy Fam is gone. Peak is the next name that I'm looking at. You're pulling up Tweak over George Springer,

over Lorenzo Cane. You just told he's the next name you're looking at after Tommy Fam and you have Springer and Cane after. It's an active target, though, and I think if you don't actually based on a DP, Tommy Fam goes after Springer and learns Okane. Anyway, it's not sure. Recording the n FBC over the last two weeks, Fams at fifty nine, Springs at sixty three, Canes at sixty six. Okay, I have it in my rankings. I have Fam, Springer, Bryant, Lorenzo Cane, Pueak Pueeks after all of those guys. So

he's not the next target. He's after Lorenzo Caine, He's O the four guys. Yes, Okay, so it's not My point is he's not the next active target by any means there's a lot of guys after that. I mean, I don't really I don't really want Springer like I'll take him. If he's there, maybe I should just move him up. All right, I'll do it, Greg, great, ware you moving him to I can't move Brant, Okay, right, I'll just leave there. Okay, who's right behind? Who's right

behind your sale? He's not right behind Tommy fam I just put him there. You said I'm not gonna move my thought. I didn't realize you moved him and then said not moving him. After that you're yelling at me. Then fine, that's that's what you're gonna do. Move them. So you don't want your peak, you're out. I don't want I'm out. But like the guys who talked about yesterday, Springer, Kane, certainly, Bryan, I want those guys ahead of the sale peak. Okay,

what does George Springer do better than the peak? Let me pull up his fans. Don't mind runs scored, that's it. Let me hold on maybe one second, and I want to have the accurate information. I'm telling you what it is. Greg. I know swort Springer score a hundred runs. That's the only category that he's better Thanagan the only category. There's nothing else. Gave me a second. Here is going to

hit around the same home runs. He has the upsides to hit more home runs a bother outside from way more RB with all those out fielders there can't hit lefty seas well. I mean he does have like a reverse split thing going on. But no, it doesn't worry Like, who who are they gonna put in that so much better against left teas Greig? Are they are they gonna bench Yail Peak for Matt Camp? Yes, no they're not. Yes, it's possible. It's not possible. I'm telling you right now,

it's not possible. You're not doing that. Ye Peak is playing every single day. I think you get burned by Pea this year. I think it's a big burnability factor here now that there's not for all of the guys in the area. Like that's what I like. That's what I like about like like like the Lorenzo Cane a little bit more like versus George Springer outside of runs,

What is George Springer better at? Not average, But they're gonna be similar average, And I think Peak has I think the upside too, And I think you could say the same thing about Spring about two three last year. Again, Pea hasn't batted over two eight and five years, right, similar batting averages, similar batting average expect through to seventy. Let's say at A you're giving the home you're giving the home runs to. Even if that's similar, that's fine.

Let's say that similar runs you're given the Springer. Yes, definitely, RBIs definitely batting fifth in the red line up ringf bringers beating leadoff. Okay, r bis for Springer stolen basis, you're definitely you definitely give thee no doubt about definitely stolen basis. Springer, what is he gonna? Pretty similar? They're similar, pretty similar, but you have RBIs and stolen basis, but they should be going into similar range, which which they are.

I like Springing more because I don't think there's plain tymeles I'll take. I'll take these stolen bases with who don't it ranking first? By the way that I had, did I that Cane in front of Sringer was also Remember I have Lorenzo Cane a little bit further behind. I mean the ten home runs and thirty eight RBIs from last year. He gives you three categories that are hard to come by. Can you give you said basis?

But it's a little bit harder to swallow those those ten home runs thirty d r bi's with Lorenzo King, Do you have Pweak? Who do you have after Pweak? Right after before you moved him? Do you have after Peak head right after him? Conforto? Doll, Eddie Rosario. Let me start with So Conforto is interesting because Conforto in the NFEC you get much later. You can get him thirty five picks after l Peak, David Dallas kind of

right after. Let me start with Doll and then we'll get to Bed in just a moment, and I'll let you know this. Conforto is a guy that is shooting up draft boards in industry and expert drafts. You know, in your standard home league, whatever, non industry, non high stakes draft, you're probably be able to get Conforto, you know, round seven, round eight, something like that. I know Modica every like if if Conforto is available in the fifth round,

Motica takes him every time. There's eight outfielders right now in the NFBC over the last two weeks that are in between ya C. L. Peak and like a good farto in the draft, which is very interesting. Like I said about five picks was a breaker right real quick. David dal Marcello, Zudo, Nick Castianos, Adye Rozario, Bitch, Hanager, Joey Gallo, Justin Upton. And here's the interesting one, Victor Roadless. You hold those eight guys. That's what we're gonna talk

about when we come back. Well, Myers coming up at some point today as well. Michael Brandley and A. J. Pollock, our Nicks as well. We have a lot of guys to get to. We'll do our best here. I took Buckston and I think in the f S t A like around twelve or thirteen. I thought that was a good time to take him there.

His dadp is absolutely going up. People say the spring doesn't matter. They're full of crap because they're already boosting him up based on two games week days to the four pm Eastern on the Fantasy Sports Network and on your popular podcast providers. If the Incubus fan you'd like some nineties alternative, alternative, alternative pop, I guess yeah, right, big fan, it's my music. Man game Morancy is in or out? What was the what was the feel of

the vibe that you got from gibe? You know this genre? How do think he hates as much as you think he would. I would just me personally, I would imagine that he would hate it. I don't think so, because you know he's a big he's a big metal head. Obviously you've ever heard any of his music. Doesn't really sound like bring Back the Rope, Bring Back the Rope, doesn't It doesn't really sound like like Gin Blossoms or count just thinking it'd be all right, just karash hit

on that cut his mike. That not great, Bob, not great, Craig. Not to say that. I'm not a fan of the music that Big likes either. Like the music he's produced, you know, big metallic guy. Yeah, I like everything Greg bring back the Rope, please all please, all part everything, And I think Dave Matthews guy no, no, definitely out on that. Not not a big country music fan. Definitely out on country music. A lot of you know, Flora Flora has me appearing in the show cups here. Hopefully

he's got him in here here. Isn't it too big for us? True? He's too big, He was too big of a head, big time Michael Floria what he is? Yeah, big time. Probably it's probably getting up there. He's engaged out. He'll probably forget about his bff he's eating, of which I texted the bff chat last night. No response from anybody, he did, you know? I also I texted you last night.

I texted you last night directly response about what it probably didn't happen region Jack here you cars ready, h you texted me immediately obviously I responded, because you sent me like five in a row. No no, no, no, no, no, no, forget those forget those wrestling ones? Would you you know? It was fine? Didn't care about that seven pm? I texted you. I didn't. Yeah, I didn't know what that was about. Are you kidding me? He just made it up?

Wilma Flora Flora bomb yesterday? Well, yeah, it was probably off some you know high eight No, no, no, to loot that up now, like Wilmer Flores is hitting bombs off good pitchure. He's gonna be on our teams to get ready next week with drafting him. You know that, right, I can't be more clear. You should occupy your middle infield spot with someone that can at least contribute and stone basis, I'd say Wilmor was not gonna do it. His basis clearing double. Excuse me, a bassis clearing double?

All right? Who did it come against Cubs? Picture? Hang on video? Is he dr Wish? Now? You know his hands are gonna be Dr Wish? Fross his name is f Ross. He's regulated to Tyson Ross and Joe Ross. No, like his last name is e F f R. O Oh, he he's a spot. Scott FROs is a star prospect. No, he's not sure. I'm not sure he's a that's who Wilmer Flores. I think he's a big s here. I think he's a big time proms. Look at Zach Godliess day picking up right where he left us three walks

and three. Scott Ross last year was in double A. Scott Frost. By the way, yesterday Scotts had a five point nine and seven r A double A last year. So I think it's great for Scott. Hopefully one with Florence can face him every day. Greg God, it will got it Will Okay, doesn't seem David dal. I think it's a perfect name. He gets you because it doesn't even Doll was a hype guys the last year two years ago. I don't even remember two years years ago. It was two years ago. He's a huge hype guy.

It's twenty two years old and I was saying, well, this guy I probably not gonna start, and he didn't. He got hurt. It was a completely lost year. Last year. Got an opportunity to play, and there was a little, hey, come back guy in David dom and it took him a while, but when he finally came up for good, he produced, for the most part, sixteen home runs in seventy seven games, betting two seventy three at forty eight Ribbies,

thirty one runs scored, and five stolen bases. The thought is that Will been everyday player in the outfield this year, and he plays for Colorado. So, barring Carlos Gonzalez returning to Colorado in some storm of fashion, some sort of fashion, Tal is expected to start every day, are you buying back in the hype. I like David Doll. I don't know that I love him as much as everybody else does. I mean, I kind of get it with davidal obviously

he plays in Colorado. I worry about I worry about the injuries, Greg, because you know, with David Doll, he played seventy seven games last year in two thousand and eighteen, and then he played a total of nineteen games in the minor leagues, and in sten he played you know, sixty three games at the major league level. He also did play in the minor leagues that year. But I worry a little bit about the injury risk here with David dal thirty seven percent hard hit rate last year

looks sixteen home runs in seventy seven games. You know everyone's looking, ah, well, you know you just multiplied that by two. He's gonna play a hundred fifty games. Is gonna hit thirty home runs in the Rockies lineup. There's definitely upside here. The battleball profile is solid, line drive ratey percent fly balls. I like David Doll. I don't know that I love him as as much as everyone else.

I think I'm just a little bit more realistic with David dal Like he'll probably have a d L stand at some point this year, but twenty five home runs with a two seventy five average, ten stolen bases. He's kind of a similar player what we expect out of your pleague, except I think there's a little bit more injury risk. You know, the upside is they're playing in Colorado. He's projected to bat clean up in this lineup, so the RBI opportunities are going to be there. I will

say this, he's um. He's struggled against left handed pitching so far in his career at the in the majors, he's um. He's a seven ten OPS guy against lefties, whereas he is a nine oh four ops against right handed pitching in his career. So he's got some struggles against lefties. Roster resource doesn't have him as a platoon. They expect him to play every single day. You know, I think to seventy five to eighty uh Homeme runs, ten stolen basis, solid counting stats. It's fine. You know,

I like David Doll. I don't know that I love as much as everyone else. I think David is fine. Ultimately, I got we gotta haven't done this in a while, but one word to describe David dollas like it's fine to me, He's fine. There's there's nothing wrong with taking David Doll. I don't know that the upside is as high as many people or many experts want to tell you it. You want to see I want to see

him stay healthy. Here's the thing. If he stays healthy for an entire year, plays a hundred fifty games, and then takes off, then you're not getting him at the same price next year. Then we're looking at davidal next year as a third round pick as opposed to where you're getting him now in the sixth round. So that's what you know. Sometimes you gotta you gotta try and buy in on the upside before before it happens. You have to take that risk. I mean, it comes down

to Rochester construction. You need some other guys on your team already that are that are safer. Look, when I get to this tier a David dal in team league probably gonna end up being your outfielder too. I feel

much better about him as my outfield three. And and the point I really wanted to hammer home today, Greg is when I get to this tier right, which I have it as tier four, which is kind of want kind of in this range from Lorenzo Kane, Canford, oh Doll, Rosario, Haneger, Castano's Zuna Upton, I want one of these guys to be my outfielder three. Like to me, this is the last tire before you really get into there's a little there's a few more question marks in the next tier.

So I want I want at least you know, I want a really good outfielder in in rotal legue. I want someone that we spoke about yesterday in the first two rounds, maybe like a like a black Man or a Harper or one of the Yankees guys, or or Yellow or a kunya Um. But at this point in the draft, I want one of these guys to be my third outfielder, or even if I get two of them, you know, if I get to like this is the cut off where after this tire is gone, I want

to have three outfielders. And I can use, you know, my Great Fantasy Baseball Invitational team as an example. I drafted Harper, I drafted Haneger. I have two outfielders. I'm we're about to be in the twelfth round. I don't have a third outfield yet, and I don't feel great

about it. So if if I would have taken you know, I keep saying one of the things I regret is I took labor Touris in the fifth I should have taken one of these outfielders in the fifth round, and then I would have have I would have had like Hannegger the next round as my third outfielder, and then also would have had like doll Or Confordo, and I would have felt a lot better about that, because you know, once you get into these like Ian Desmond, Ramon Oriano,

you know if you don't, you don't Dickerson, you don't love those guys. Jesse winker Uh, you know some of these players have upside, But do you really want you want to fill out your OUTFITL four and five spots with those players? Now your outfield three spot, I want, you know, I want three at the top. Let's say thirty five. As as my top three outfielders. You mentioned

that Michael Confordo was around here as well. I said it was thirty five picks away when it came to the NFBC ADP as of now, but as Frank mentioned, it is rising becauld f twenty five years old that a breakout starring campaign in team where he has seven home runs in a hundred nine games, hurt his shoulder towards the end of the year, came back last year, was not the same early on due to that shoulder injury, played in a hundred and fifty three d games, though,

came back in early April and wound up hitting twenty eight home runs. He walks a very good amount at thirteen over strikes out around five percent, but the average plummeted last year from eight to around two three O b P three four to three fifty. A lot of that, of course, is due to what he did early in the year, where he simply was not healthy. He's pretty much the same guy against left these in righties, which

you obviously like. If you look at the first half the second half, that's where you'll find the stark difference. In the first half he only bet at to sixteen, had eleven home runs in the second half in less games, more home runs, a better average. I think the second half is more indicative of what Michael Conforto is And for those that think that Michael Confordo could be an over thirty home run guy that could have close to a hundred RB I I don't. I don't see anything

that would change my mind about that. I think the player that Conforto is and we one him to be, isn't necessarily our in judge. I don't think he has that kind of ceiling. But I do think he is a guy that he's better than he's shown as long as he can remain healthy, and I expect he did that last year. But three games last year after missing the first few in April. Once he got healthy in the second half and we know shoulder injuries ken Linger for a little while, he seemingly was back to normal.

I like Michael Goodford a lot, and I think he deserves to be in this tier. Yeah. I like him a lot as well. Not gonna give you anything really in the stolen base categories, but really, what he did in that second half, I agree with you, Greg. It's closer to the player that I expect him to be, even dating back to his days in college. This guy is a professional hitter. I trust against lefties. I trust

him against righties as well. I don't think that the splits are going to be, you know, all that bad idea. He's gonna play every single day for the New York Mets, a lineup that's getting some hype here in the preseason Greg with Robinson Cano and Wilson Ramos and Pete Alonso and Jeff McNeil and all these guys, it's an improved lineup.

And you know that second half where he hit to seventy three with eighteen home runs, that's what you know, I think to seventy that that's kind of a spot that where living in here with a lot of these aut faelers that we're gonna talk about. To seventy to two seventy five solid doesn't really help your batting average

all that much, but doesn't hurt it either. It's kind of like we're right around where you want your your batting average to be in Rohto, you know, Rhoto, you really want your average to be, you know, I two seventies to you know, to seventies six to seventy eight, around that area where I do think a lot of these out feelers that we're talking about are going to be this season, But in seventy to seventy five, I think it could be a thirty home run hitter in

the second half lest year, the hard hit rate goes up to thirty percent. He was he was rushed back last year. He had major offseason surgery going from between eighteen. He kind of rushed himself back, and he was affected the batting average, the power, everything was affected early on in the season last year because of that shoulder injury. I trust more what we saw in the second half Greg as a and it's not just me carrying over

the second half numbers. I think there was there's a legit reason to carry over the second half numbers because he got healthier as the season went on last year and we to see more of the real player that Conforto is. I like him really really regardless of format too, because even in points leagues, Okay, he'll strike out a decent amount, you know, but he also walks a lot. So he's gonna walk twelve thirteen percent of the time.

He's a professional hitter. I trust him Greg, and you know, I actually trust him a little bit more than uh then David Dald because I think there's a little bit more uh, there's a little more injury concern exact. David Doald I get it's the course field thing. I have Conforto once spot hiher, He's he's my outfield twenty two. I would be pretty excited about him. Looking at this, I would actually prefer to have Michael Confordo the David Doll as well. I think the upsides higher, I really do.

And maybe it's the injuries. Maybe, And I know the ballpark is obviously a big thing, city field versus course field, but runs twenty runs back to back years. Let's see davidal gets twenty five right, like the same sting, healthy enough and has done a little bit more. He's a little more established, he's still younger, like a good Porto just twenty five six on Friday. He has another step that he can take. And you know, I've talked about

this a lot. I don't know how translatable it's gonna be, but I think, you know, Conforto having a guy like Robinson Canoe in the lineup, approven lefty, that another professional hitter in his major league career, I don't think that hurts, you know, I kind of buy in on some of these narrative things where you know, if they bring in a veteran who can be relatable for a young player to kind of learn from. I think it makes sense.

I think robertson Cano being in the lineup for the Mets and having that veteran presence he's been around a long time, especially playing in New York before, Like he knows kind of what's expected of you to play in New York and perform. And I think he's gonna be able to help Kimforto. So I kind of like that too. Fan Gufts loves David duhl u Conforto. They say he

hits into the shift a lot. It's a summary. Well that's kind of a trend for all left handed hitters, is you know again we you know, we kind of spoke about this yesterday where with the shift, they're putting an extra guy in right field and a lot of people are trying to hit over the shift. My Goodfordo is a guy that does hit a lot of line drives, so I try, you know, and he's a guy that I trust um a little bit more to go to

all fields. I know you didn't necessarily see it last year with Kinfordo, I mean pull rate, but look, ineen, when he was actually fully healthy, hit seven home runs and a hundred and nine games. His pull rate was only he hit a lots to center field of the time, and he also went op so in Porto was a professional hitter. I know he pulled a lout last year, but as you know, as he gets further away from that surgery, you're gonna see more and more that he

is a professional hitter. Where if teams are going to try and shift him, I think that he's a guy that can actually go the opposite way and kind of take what the what the what the shift is giving him. So I don't really worry about that all too much. With Kinfordo, not a high praise here for Mike would be happy Florida store right now, allow Mike, your guy last year was Nick Castianos, Big Nikki C. Who falls

into this right. We had Big Nicky teen Florio gave the nickname Big Nicky T. It sounded like sound like the lead singer of a boy band. Now we got Big Nikki C. So Nick Castianos in the last two years back to back years of a hundred and fifty seven games played. His year in early similar to that year in seventeen, he had three less home runs but had fifteen more runs scored, he had twelve less r V I is probably directly recorrelated to me. Barramis in

the entire season didn't really strike out, walked up. Okay, him out seven percent last year six percent the year before. Average jumped up twenty six points, directly correlated to his babbit, which jumped about fifty points. Direct correlation there. Cassiano is going in this range despite having a hard hit rate at almost forty eight percent, which obviously helps the babbit. His groundball rate dropped for one year one a year two thirty five percent, and the home run a fly

ball ratio, you know, kind of similar as well. You'd like Castianos to hit a bit more home runs. Maybe he gets trained, he goes to a better part, he will do that. The Castiano is another one of those guys that I like. You know, sure, nothing wrong with the Castianos. How do you compare him to a guy like davidl and a guy like Michael Conford? So I have him a few spots behind. I think we kind of know who can Castianos is at this point. I know, you see the three sixty one bad from last year

kind of jumps off the page. But forty eight percent hard hit rate and a twenty line drive rate. So Castanos is one of the best line drive pure hitters in the game right now. Where Okay, if he's hitting the ball hard and hitting that many line drives, like, of course, he's gonna have a high bad he's gonna have a high batting average. You know, the past two of the past three years he's been to eighty five or higher. I do think that's kind of that's closer to the player he is. I think he's a to

eighty to nine, five to three hitters. If he would ever learn to lift the ball a little bit more and hit more flyballs, I think he has the upside to be like a three hitter with thirty home runs and a hundred RBIs. But he kind of is who he is at this point. Has nearly three thousand plate appearances the major vue level runs five and eighty five with a near three under batting average WRED category player in round six. I'm fine with it. It's good. ce that's Nick Castanos's Baseball Savant stat cast page. And each of the past three seasons, his expected batting average has been to eighty eight or higher. So he's been in the top seven percent of the league in that category in each of the past three years. So if you're in those middle rounds, round six, round seven range, and you know you need you want to four you

want solid home runs, RBIs and runs. But someone who's actually going to help your batting average too, who's gonna give you a you know, to ninety ish batting average. Nick cas Sano says, your guy. But just no, you're not getting any stolen basis from him. But again, something that I should have stressed more throughout this draft that I'm doing right now is batting average. I I gotta I gotta scour the batting average landscape years to rout the rest of the draft because I just didn't stress

it enough. So that that is me giving you my wisdom and learning from my own mistakes. Here is, if you play in a rotal league, make sure you stress outfield and batting average early on in your drafts. All right, there you go, the Castianos. One of these guys later on you can draft on the wrong. Nothing wrong with them, not wrong at all. How many times can we use the word fine to describe a player? Because I think Cassano is fine, kind of like David dal who would

you have? You have dollar like ten more stone basis kind of thing you think he's like, you think he had twelve little basing David, I think, okay, definitely doable. Interesting. All right, Another guy that's around this tier is the guy that you drafted in the Great Fantasy Baseball Invitational, and it's Mitch Hanneger. Twenty eight years old. Is Mitch Hannegar now and last year was the first time in

his career he played a hundred games. In fact, he played a hundred and fifty seven of them, and they were a hundred fifty seven pretty good games for the Seattle Marrigers. Wenty six hovers, ninety runs, score, ninety three ribs, eight stolen basis. He batted two eighty five, walked over ten percent at the time, struck out a bit over twenty one percent at the time. The hard hit rate,

it's over league average. Live drive rabies about while his home in the fly ball ratio remained the same from seen to It's a long time for Mitch Haniger to finally break out he did last year for Seattle, if you believe it, Why is he going behind some of the guys that we've named. People are worried about the Seattle Mariners lineup, and I can't really defend it all of that much, especially when they're likely expected to trade Edwin Incarnacion at some point, but not yet. He's still

on tea. Yeah, still on the team for now, right, So I'll run through this lineup. I don't I don't think it's as bad as everyone is saying. Right, So you have Malix Smith, Mitch Hanneger, j Bruce, Edwin Incarnacio, and Kyle Seger, Domingo Santana who's getting high fit and having a good spring, Omart Vias, Tim Beckham, and D Gordon. So if you look at Handegar batting second, he basically has two back to back leadoff men like once they get through the lineup, once he has D Gordon and

then Malex Smith hitting ahead of him. So I still think the RBI opportunities are going to be there. Look, the lineup is not as good as it has been in years past. I realized that there's no Robinson can know, there's no Nelson Cruiz, but they've done their best to kind of replace those guys Edwin and Carnacione. He's about as close to Nelson Cruz as you're gonna get, right, Like, he's gonna probably still hit thirty to thirty five home runs this year. J Bruce a little bit worse than

Robinson can know. I think we can say that. So I think people are worried about the Mariners lineup, and that's why he goes a little bit later. He's a guy who I think Handeger is safe for two seventy five to eight d batting average. You know, the hard hit rate was above league average. The county stats probably take a little bit of a step back. They were both ninety runs and ninety RBIs last year. That's probably closer to eight runs and a d r BIS this year.

But you home runs with eight to ten stolen bases in a in a two seventy five batting average, He's fine. This is the fine tier. Like if you're really worried about the Mariners line up, and that's why you're probably taking somebody else in this range over him. And to be fair, you know that the only big concern here, Reggie, that you're concerned with the Mariners line up. That's it, That's all you got, Yeah, I mean, what else is wrong with him? Nothing? That's on my point that he's

really good. Yeah, there's nothing else that worries me about him. He's but like okay, in games in seventeen, he was an eighty three OPS player. Last year in a hundred fifty seven games, he was player. It's kind of who he is. But the other but the other guys that you the other guys that you mentioned, David Dald major injury concerns and the Rockies are always flifty, but higher upside and better line up. Sure, yeah, yeah, they're kind

of similar in their line is terrible. Well, I have hanneger one so could for you like the line up and you think the upside higher again, I guess yeah, he's still younger, you know, Hannager is not old by any means either. All right, a little bit older than I thought. Kind of a late bloom prospects here. Um came over in the what was that right from the from the Diamondbacks. Yeah, and he was Hannager was a guy in the minor leagues who this is kind of who he was to like you know, twenty like a

little bit of pop, a little bit of speed. I don't expect a lot of stolen bases, you know, eight to ten. But again, like if he has de Gordon and Malex Smith hitting ahead of him, there's still gonna be some RBI opportunities here. That's why I don't want to That's why there's my trade off. Like all their pieces come like all star break around, like you know, trade deadline that they might get some of these guys. They won't give it to Hannegar. He's fine, that would

like him before as my outfielder. Three though, So you know in the if you're in those middle rounds and you can get or doll or even you know me personally, I would love to get Tommy fam Or if you could get fam We Lorenzo Kane or you know, could four to or dollars or outfield too. I think a guy you know coming back around maybe the next round or two, if you could get Casteano's or Hanniger, someone in that like those guys, is your outfield three. I

think that's really good roster construction. I like that a lot. I can see us in our auction, by the way, just drafting two of these guys as our outfield two and three. Realistically, Yeah, I can see us doing that well, assuming they don't get too much hype. We'll take you like him a lot. Marcelo Zuna is an interesting name that that's going around here as well. Frankie Um as soon as another A little more concerned here with me. Yeah, Morricello is soona. He's kind of a mystery right now.

You don't that's he hasn't been on the field, So that's my shoulder surgery. Morricello Zuna is very good. Last year is eerily similar to the Marlins, like earily similar, played in at eight games in each year, hit exactly twenty three home runs in each year to sixty six average.

It's when you say sixteen to eighty average. Looking at these numbers, do you think that the player that we saw last year, the player we saw that sixteen is the real Marzello Zuna or is it the breakout guy that we saw played a hundred fifty nine games, seventeen almost forty home runs with almost a hundred thirty rives batting over three hundred. Like, what do you make of

Marzello Zuna. I do think he's better than what he showed last year, but he has to be healthy, which you know, maybe this is one of the questions for dr A Tomorrow. Um. You know, we haven't seen Marcello Zuna in spring training yet and Cardinals manager Mike Schiltz said on Monday that the timeline for Ozuna is to play left Uh, the timeline for Ozuna to play left field is quote unclear, So that is that's worrisome. Again,

he had offseason shoulder surgery in October. Um, you know, shoulder is something that could affect the power, and I think that was something that he was kind of playing through last year too. I think he's better than what he told last season, but he has to be healthy. Do I know that right now? I don't like if I knew he was healthy though, based on what he did last year right like he was playing through injury. He had a forty hard hit rate. Greig, you know

that that's that's elite, that's very good. You know, a forty percent hard hit rate, although he still hits a lot of ground balls. His home run A fly ball ratio, given the fact that he hit the ball as hard as he did, should have been higher than four. So I think he's probably closer to a thirty home run hitter. And the Cardinals line up with Paul Gelschman in it, it's a very good lineup, so Izunna expected to back

clean up here. He he has upside to be, you know, to eighty to ninety with thirty home runs and a hundred RBIs he has a little bit more or category upside than some of these other players in this range. But I have him behind all of them just because I don't I don't really know much about the shoulder right now. I don't. I don't think anybody does. So I think that kind of injury risk and I guess ambiguity he's the word. Um is why I have him

ranked behind the rest of these guys. I would agree, I would argue that his upside is higher than some of them. Well, we've seen it. Well, I don't think you can argue because you've seen it before. He runs a hundred and thirty r V I like we know it is. There's a lot of question marks when it comes to mar Marzilla Zoo who never ultimately see some very comfortable in St. Louis. Last year the phone line six seven nine, let's go to Stephen Massachusetts. What's up Steve?

He do we have Steve? Steve? A Hey, Steve, what's up man? What's up? Man? Hey? What's going on? Guys? And I noticed that you guys are talking about I'll feel this, So I wanted to know what you guys thought. I'm like these guys because I noticed that you guys are trying to like talk about rocks that construction for it. So what about like guys like Austin Meadows, Uh Ian happ and uh Brandon numo because I know you guys are talking about conflorido and uh what you could do? What?

Uh you? I think you broke out Conda last year like he had some decent stats. Are you guys going going in on any of those guys out on I and Hap. I will tell you this. Austin Meadows is a hype guy right now. He is climbing up draft boards very quickly, and I know Roster Resource has him as a platoon player right now. He is a lefty, but he actually held his own against left handed pitching last year, and they traded away Chris Archer to get both him and Tyler Glass. Now, in my opinion, I

think they're gonna play him every day. I don't really worry about the platoon Alston Meadows, and he showed me a little bit last year. Like remember, he was pretty hot for a for a decent amount of time with the Pirates last season. I think he's a player who can give you fifteen twenty in both home runs and stolen bases, and I think the batting average is not gonna hurt. I think he's gonna be like to seventy

issue or maybe two seventy five. So he's someone who is climbing up draft boards right now and there's a lot of hype behind and I am in I like him. I don't want him as one of my top three outfielders. Ideally, if I get him as like my outfield four to make some shot on the upside there, I'm not doing it because strikes out a lot. I have the playing time concerns with the Chicago Cubs. I need to see more from Ian Hap first. And the other name you

mentioned was Brendan Nimo. Like Brandon Nimo a lot in points leagues and OBI p leagues, because I was tweeting out some stats yesterday about Nimo. He was elite greg against right handed pitching. Some of these numbers at six o p s against right handed pitching last year, four twenty four on base percentage, so walk great. I like him a little bit more on points leagues. He's got

to get better against left handed pitching. If I'm ranking those three, it's it's Austin Meadows gap, Brandon Nimo huge gap, and then Ian had fair enough. We appreciate that. We appreciate the time. Stephen. I wanted to one more outfielder, Frank before we hit the break that's in this to me in this area, and then we'll bring that draw on and we'll talk and maybe have another special gap as well. Eddie Rosario was a forgotten man last year, bros.

That was was that a thing that was the thing that was made at my at my drafts last year, my buddy bit drafted him one league and then four draft him another one. They said, we are quote Rosario, bros. Everyone. It was the guy that lasted like ten rounds too long in my draft. I remember sitting next to the person that drafted. It was like, this guy really here, Yeah, I don't really want him. I don't really want theim. We waited like five more rounds. He's like, I'm just

gonna take him, and it's any Rosario. I did not take him first. Next year, we took him. Back to back years. Home runs, back to back years, batting essentially to ninety doesn't really walk, struck out seven only seventeen points six or seven of the time, r b I s and runs similar to the last two years. You gotta get them eight to ten stolen bases or so. In a better Twins line of Eddie Rosario is what he is, which is pretty dang good. Why is he in this range? Why is he behind some of these guys?

Why do you believe he is? He's dragging where he should be drafted. So with Eddie Rosario, it's the tale of two seasons. If you look at the first half orts the second half last year, three eleven hitter with nineteen of his twenty four home runs in the first half, second half five home runs to forty batting average. We we want to see consistency from first half to second half. I like this Twins line up a lot. I've already been on record saying that, so maybe I'm a little

bit more excited about Eddie Rosario than others. But again, great back to back years of two eighty eight or better batting average. He'll chip in, you know, eight to ten stolen bases. I think if he can find some of that consistency from the first half to the second half, he could be closer to a thirty home run hitter. Uh. He doesn't struggle against lefties either, as a left handed bat eight four against lefties last season two. There's a

lot to like here. You know, normally, when when I look at a left handed bat, I want to make sure that you know that they're not pulling the ball all too much. And at their they don't struggle against lefties. Um, so you don't have to worry about that. I just need to see consistency more from the from the first half of the second half. But I like the Twins lineup a lot. Um. I like him a little bit more in Rhodo because he doesn't really walk all that

much for points leagues. He's right around a five percent walk right for his career. But batting average is gonna be really good man right around two ninety. I like him. How do you feel about Eddie ros Areo? So last year, as I said, I didn't have no injuries, I didn't want any twins guys, I didn't like him. But now he's done it two years in a row, and a lot of that's trying to compete. I think he's real. Like, why wouldn't you like any Rosario with these numbers? I

have him just ahead of Hanneger and Cassiano. Is that too aggressive? I don't think it is. I don't think it is. I think I like the Twins line exactly what I was gonna say. You obviously like the Twins line of more than marriage that everything else with him and Hanneger is pretty similar, except you're going to get

a betting average better batting average for embody Rosario. I don't get it weird, Like it's cold in Minnesota early on in the season, but he was so good in the first half last year, so in the months where it warmed up, he got worse. I know what that means anything, It doesn't really. Yeah, the ball doesn't fly out well in Minnesota in the early months, especially anywhere in the al Central right like Chicago Chicago in the early months, the ball should not fly out that well.

So the fact that nineteen one runs in the first half last year and then kind of slowed down. I'm pretty excited about anywhars Areo. I like him, man, I like him in this range too. I think he's just the unheralded dude. And you know, if David dal wasn't in Colorado, like I'd probably move them ahead of him. I just don't say the same thing Dollar or Mitch Haniger or David Dollar ANYWARS area. I mean, I probably don't have ANYARS area. I know, I know, I know.

I think that's what's getting everybody like. These are all again, these are all fine outfielders in this range where if you miss out on fam or Springer or Lorenzo Kane, try and snake two of these guys to be your outfield two and your three. There's so many outfielders to talk about it. So how many we've done, like seven so far on to three or four or five, six, six,

we've done six, a lot more to come. Let's try and get through like top forty at least here, Yes as well, try fantasy best Friends forever, fantasy sports right, no one do
