Fantasy Sports Radio Network News update. We roll into the trade deadline on Wednesday, July nineteen, and we are weak confirmation that Trevor Bauer is on his weight since Cincinnati Reds ESPN Jefferson One's first report Tuesday night that Barrow was on his way to the Reds as part of a three team deal involving the San Diego Padres as well.
John Hayman of MLB Network says that the Reds are moving steal Creed to the Indians, and Dennis Lynn of The Athletic, who was also the first to add that Cleveland will also get franmel Res and Logan Allen from the Pondres. Red's top outfield prospect, Taylor Trammell will ahead to San Diego. At the same time that this trade was announced, a brawl broke down between the Reds and
the Pirates. Seal Preek involved in that one. We are wait word on suspensions and in the NFL, Bengals wide receiver AJ Green may miss more than just one regular season game. On Dan Trafford. Died from St. Francis. Frank stand ball, ladies and gentlemen, your PFF, and with that we will get you inside Studio thirty four. Its BFF our number two, the Action Hour full of actually a Franks savile Grex salesman Florida e y are gone, which means it's our turn to take at the top of the hour. U with the MLB trade deadline looming in just fifty eight minutes from now, Frankie, Yeah,
absolutely insane. I mean, it was kind of hard not to pay attention to the trades that were going on during the first hour while we were talking fantasy football. But obviously now we will get into some of these MLB trade deadline trades that are happening. These things are coming in hot and heavy. Yeah, absolutely, the trades are
hot and heavy. So let's start out with what took place last night, frank and that was the big trade of Trevor Bauer, a three team deal which landed Bauer still in Ohio, this time leaving Cleveland and going to Cincinnati in a three team deal going over to Cleveland includes fran Miller Rays, it includes Yasi l Pui, includes prospects, includes Logan Allen. They get a haul with Trevor Bauer, while top prospect for Cincinnati, Taylor Tramel, goes over to
San Diego, which the Gona trade. Frank, it was another head scratcher a nite, And to be perfectly honest, Greg, I chose the wrong hour to watch Shoe Detective because it was True Detective season three. I'm halfway done with it season Yeah. Yeah, he's going to actually play Blade when they remake the movie. Did you know that? Yes, so that's going to happen. But during that hour that I'm watching True Detective, this trade went down, and that Reds and Pirates brawl went down, So I missed a
ton that was going on. But this was a bit of a head scratcher to me, again, Zach not Zach Wheeler, between Trevor Bauer and Marcus Stroman, who would have predicted the two potentially biggest names in terms of starting pitchers being moved went two teams that aren't really competing this year. It was just kind of a bafflely move to me. I get it. Look the Cincinnati Reds they want to
get themselves ready for that's perfectly fine. They have a top three in their rotation of Bower, Luis Castillo, and Sonny Gray. That's pretty damn good. And then when it comes to the Indians perspective, normally I wouldn't want to trade away an ace type starting pitcher to get hit in return Greg But the the Indians are in a interesting position right now because they have Corey Kluber who's close close to returning. They have Danny salas Or who
they just activated. They might get Carlos Carrasco back. Oh yeah, they still have Shane Bieber and Mike Clevinger who are awesome as well. So they just have a wealth of riches when it comes to starting pitching. So they could have afforded to make the trade, and they got back a great haul. They got back y'alls peak, who's gonna be an everyday outfielder for them, someone who over the past month or two has really really rounded back into form like we expected until he got off to a
slow start, but he's been great. And they got Frannell Rais. I mean, we were talking about fran Miel Rays earlier on in the season for Fantasy Baseball, Greg, we were raving about this guy. I mean, he's a stack cast hero. He makes a ton of hard contact. He's a butcher in the field. But now he's probably going to be the everyday d H for the Cleveland Indians. So they fortify their outfield, they fortify their lineup. Hopefully they get Corey Kluber back. I think they were in a position
where they can ford to make this trade. Greg, what do you think about the Padres ultimately giving up frand Mill Rays, who, Yeah, they had a glutton of outfielders there and they get the top prospect and the Reds organization back in Taylor Tremel actually really liked it. In the San Diego side, they had a glut of outfielders including Reis and Renfrew and Morgo and more Um and Will Myers too. They needed to trade one of them, and a Frandill Rays has to go to Ale team.
He's not a good enough outfielder to play in the National League. You give up Yist to go along with you know, a fine picture and Logan Allen, somebody who's probably gonna be like a number three, best number four, number five more realistically, and you get a top prospect back in Taylor Tramel. I think that if you're the Padres, you're reloading, you'll see Taylor Trammel probably at some point
next year, maybe the year after that. Right Like, that's where you're that's the timeline for a guy like Tremel, and if nothing else, it's another resource. Fran mill Ras has proven what he could do, and I think it's a really good job by San Diego to get a top prospect when you're not necessarily giving up a top prospect. The Cincinnati side of things is what really surp rises me the most. Um, they're not in it this year. There's just too many teams they're gonna have to pass.
And I get you want Bower for the future. I get that you want to Um, I guess that you want to rebuild for next year and give yourself a shot next year. And you're three some of sunny Graat, Louise Castile and Trevor Bauer is really good. But given up Taylor Trammel. It just sits and he guess, yesse whatever that going anywhere, I don't know. I mean, it's it's a fair deal. If you don't, if you're not competing next year, your trade baller again. Yeah, and you
probably get a really good return there anyway. So maybe there was maybe there was you know, analytics in their organization that maybe didn't like Taylor Trammel. I mean he was struggling this year at Double A. I mean, he has all the tools. The guy could potentially be a five tool player, but he was just hitting two thirty six when a six ops in Double A this season. He's still incredibly young, He's only twenty one years old. Um, but you know, he was their top prospect and he
has upside. But maybe there was something that the Red saw that the Padres necessarily didn't, so they wanted to capitalize that. They end up moving out, yeah, cel Puig to end up moving Taylor Trammel and they get Trevor Bauer in return, you know, and their rotation was already really good. You know, they have one of the best e R rays among starting pitchers in all baseball because Castillo, it's basically is finally living up to his upside. And
Sonny Gray has pitched really well. And Tanna Rowark, who will talk about in a little bit, also got traded. He's pitched mostly well, so you know, surprisingly the Reds have have pitched well, but they get another legitimate ace type, workhorse starting pitcher because you know, Trevor Bauer, people might not realize this Craig. He leads m l being and then he's pitched. I mean the Indians were just letting him go as deep as he possibly can go into games.
So that favors the Reds as well. Uh, it was, it was a really interesting trade. Really called me off guard. I don't think anyone really thought of the Reds as a potential suitor when it comes to Trevor Bauer. Yeah, and it reminds me of that arch Is stroman trade from over the weekend where the top two of the top pitchers on the market, probably the top two pitchers on the market get traded to teams that are not considered contenders this year in twenty nineteen, not freeing up
um any of the other suitors on the market. So the Yankees are still in play, the Astros are still in play for a storting pitcher. The Dodgers are in play, the Braves are in play. There's a lot of teams the Rays as well, that are fighting for that starting pitching and they have now just fifty one minutes to get it done. When we come back, we'll tell you
about some storting pitchers are already on the move. Zach Gallen leaving my Ami Tenner, row Ark leaving Cincinnati and the bullpen pieces going as well as the Nationals basically have an entirely new bullpen. We'll break it all down over the next fifty one minutes. Stick around the MLB

Just now forty eight minutes to go, and Frank, let's go over some of the big deals of having thus far the most surprising deal of the day. So Zach Gallen head on over from Miami to Arizona for Arizona's top prospect. I know, we were shocked by it. Is Zach Gallant
shocked by it? What's going on here? Yeah, this was a really it interesting one, and I mean these were potentially some of the moves that we were going to see because there is no longer a you know, August deadline. Everything needs to happen now before four pm today, So it's not just going to be teams that are you know, buying looking to compete this year. It's you know, teams that are trying to set themselves up for years to come to And I think that's that's that's what you're
seeing the Marlins do right now. This really interesting trade because Zach Gallant has picked so well recently, Greg, and you know, he's someone we talked about a lot during the fantasy baseball season. The Fantasy Bastill season is still going on. We talked about him a lot earlier in the season as one of the top pitching prospects in baseball because of the way he was performing at Triple A and recently he was performing really well in the
majors as well. He's coming off back to back starts of seven innings pitched last night against the Minnesota Twins, A really really good lineup. Seven innings pitched, two earned runs, eight strikeouts. What I'm looking at here, Greg is Miami Marlins have a glut of starting pitching prospect for years to come. Obviously, the centerpiece of the j. C. Real Muto trade was six Do Sanchez, who is in Double A, so they have him coming. They have obviously Pablo Lopez,
who they like what they've seen from him. He's currently rehabbing. They still have Caleb Smith for now see if he ends up on the move, but they have a lot of pitching prospects that they like. Sandy al Kantara. I think they were trying to maximize zac Gallan's value right now when it was at its absolute highest, to go get another team's top overall prospect, a shortstop prospect, and that's exactly what they get in Jazz chis home from
the Arizona Diamondbacks. Sorry to interrupt trade alert. What he got. Shane Green to the Braves. Shane Green to the Braves. Cregy, we appreciate it. We get to that in a little bit. Uh starting pitch here. Tanner Roark also traded today, Uh, the Reds acquire the Reds acquired starter trade away and start A Rowark goes to Oakland. And as I said before, we gotta predicted this one. This is like an easy
fit for man. Yeah, it's you know, he's not a long term piece of the future obviously there and they have their top three starters set to go, and they still have Alex would you know if they want to keep him around so they can figure out the back end of their rotation. The Cincinnati reads that is the
Oakland A's. You know, this is actually in terms of park shift, Greg, this is actually a good move for Tanna Rowark, especially if you play in deeper leagues, because he goes from the small ballpark, the Grant American Small Park of in Cincinnati over to Oako over there in Oakland, and that is a bigger ballpark to pitching. So, you know, the Oakland A's they haven't had much success with starting pitching. Greg. Obviously,
everyone's waiting for Hazels Lozardo to get healthy. We're excited about him for the future, but they don't really have an ace type starting pitcher. They don't really get one in Tanna row Art, but he can be an Endings eater. I think it's a It's a solid git for the Oakland A's, who are probably looking at playing in the American League Wild Card Game. Yeah, I think so too.
I think the A's get a solid picture, which is what they needed um in Tanna Rowark, and I think it obviously makes a lot of sense for him going into the post season, going back to die Max For a second, I wonder if this is a similar trade to what the Reds they right acquire a picture trade a picture they acquired Zack Gallen, years of control, ready to start in the majors. Awesome move for the d Backs too, by the fantastic to move the d Backs Robbie Ray still a member of this d Backs team
forty five minutes to go. We'll see what happens. Obviously, the Yankees in the Astros are both in the mix on Robbie Ray. They're both in the mix on Zach Wheeler. It could be a potential situation where you know, Zack Wheeler ends up with one of these teams and many other ones like, oh crap, we're desperate, We're gonna go
in on Robbie right now. We'll go all in and see the latest that I think we've all heard here, Greg, is that the Rays are asking for Clint Fraser and three prospects, one of them being Clark Schmidt as well. Clark Schmidt, so you know they're not gonna get Debbie Garcia. We know that they I mean, I guess you ask, but it's not going to happen. And then they say no,
we'll see what those other prospects could potentially be. But honestly, as a Yankee fan in general, and even from an outside perspective, if you're looking at the Yankees here, I think that this has been a really disappointing trade deadline to this point because they were trying to add bullpen help, Greg, they were trying to add a starting pitcher. Tanaka couldn't go. I mean, he couldn't even get out of the fifth ending today. Paxton clearly something wrong with him right now,
pitching through this knee issue. They miss out on Stroman, they miss out on Trevor Bauer. Looks like Synderguard's not gonna be on the move if you want to trade for a bumb Garner. At this point, that Giants have all the leverage they can ask them for Clint Fraser and Debbie Garcia. Maybe even more than that. I think the Yankees are in a really bad spot here. Greg. Yeah, the Yankees do not have the leverage this year. Will
let you know ultimately what they do. Speaking of the bullpen, you heard Chris venture just giving you the news a few minutes ago, and that's the Atlanta Braves acquiring some relief help, acquiring Shane Green for the from the Detroit Tigers. No word in what they're getting back in return, but
Shane Green going over from Detroit to Atlanta. He has at one point one a e r A on this season, and given the uncertainty revolving their closing situation, this is one of the few spots Shane Green may go and be the closer. Yeah. We also saw Chris Martin added to this team last night, so I think it'll probably be Shane Green. Obviously, the asking price was as high as it was, and we'll see what the Braves ultimately ended up giving up, probably some of their pitching prospects.
They have Kyle right there, they have Bryce Wilson, so I think that makes a lot of sense. But my guess would be the Shane Green ends up closing for the Braves, which from a fantasy perspective's great for Shane Green's value because the Braves are obviously winning more games than the Detroit Tigers. We don't know this to be true for sure, but I don't think that they give up whatever is going to be needed to get shown
Shane Green unless he closes for this team. And then you obviously have Luke Jackson and Chris Martin down in the seventh and eighthanny. If you're playing fantasy baseball, who's the new closer in Detroit? I would say is Joe Himenez. I mean, we've heard him kind of as the next man up for years now, and he was a closer at the minor league level as well, so he has that experience. I would guess that it's probably him. There's not really anyone else in that bullpen that has been great.
I mean, not that Joe Haimenez has pitched really all that well, but it's not really like to have anyone else that turns to, So I would say, Joe Heimenez, what do you think, Greig? Probably Himenez. I just don't know who else it could be potentially, So that's why I also lean Himenez year Seattle, also wheel and Dillio. Jerry Depoto couldn't go a trade deadline without making a move. He traded away he is closer, Ennes Alias over to
Washington along with his former closer Hunter Strickland. Both of those guys head on over to Washington Nationals, who were rebuilding their bullpen. Here two more pieces right there in Alias and Strickland. Yeah, and they both go over together, right, they go to the Washington Nationals. So Sean Doolittle is going to continue to close there. I don't think Hunter Strickland is gonna be in the mix. Rowan Solias. They can use him as a lefty reliever obviously for matchups there.
So They're bullpen just gets deeper. They needed a lot of help, you know. I believe the Nationals bullpen e r A was like twenty eight or twenty nine in baseball. So they didn't end up getting a Shane Green. Apparently the Tigers were asking for Carter Key Boom in return for Shane Green, and the Nationals were not willing to part with him. No, rightfullysa. I mean, he's one of their top prospects in the organization. So they end up getting Hunter Strickland and they get Royana Alias. Those guys
are going to set up for settle in Washington. And that was the jaded for another reliever, didn't they a third? Oh? It was the gentleman from the Blue Jeans, Daniel Hudson. Yes, Daniel Hudson, Yes, so you have a you have a six, seven, eight nine. That's right. The Nationals rebuilding their roster, their bullpen on the fly here, totally new bullpen. Good pieces for Nationals as they make their playoff push. Latest trade just coming through the Dodgers and made a move. They've
acquired Jed Jerko from the St. Louis Cardinals. You mean Jed Jerko? Do you mean Jan Jericho? Yes? Uh, they required Jed Jericho from the St. Louis Cardinals. I'm sure they didn't give it too much for him. So they're given getting assurance for Chris Taylor, for Keeky Hernann's, for David Freeze, for Justin Turner. Jed Jerco could back up all of those spots all around the infield. Jergo heads
back to the n L West. Another depth move has the Pittsburgh Pirates training away Corny Dickerson as he heads to Philadelphia. Philadelphia doing a lot of those kinds of moves with Jay Bruce and the Lake. And they got someone else similar to that too. Oh, they got Jason Vargus, which is yes, just hilarious anyway, stays within the NL East. But I'm trying to figure out Greig, who the heck is going to close for the Mariners. I know it's
kind of hard to figure out. They're not gonna win a lot of games, but I mean for fantasy baseball, it's going to matter here, Like Anthony Bass did it for them earlier on in the season. Over the past thirty days he has a three three eight e r A. The person to pay attention to is Austin Adams kind of strikeout, but sure, I think he's on the I L So I would say it's between those two, Austin Adams and Anthony Bass the next man up for the
Seattle Mariners from a fantasy perspective. Good moves by the Nationals obviously going out and uh fortifying their bullpen, and with Corey Dickerson, they get a left handed bat with you. Over the past couple of years, Corey Dickerson's kind of lost some of his pop he's been more of someone that you can rely on for his batting average. But I think these are just some some depth pieces here
for the Philadelphia Phillies. I also saw the Dodgers are trying to acquire Felipe a Vasquez, but the asking price very very high, Greggy. The Pirates are asking for one of Gavin lux or Dustin may pretty steep price to pay for a I would assume set up reliever. I don't. I don't think Philippe Batskins would take that closing roll away from Kennedy chances. I'm sure not. He'll fit in right in the eighth NY if he does go. We'll see if he goes. We have thirty nine minutes remaining
in the MLV trade deadline. We're gonna break it down four. You stick around more Next. From the NFL to the NBA. Daily Rodo dot com is the place to win millions in daily fantasy. I would like to mention one more thing from a fantasy baseball perspective, with the trade of ya Ceo Puig, Josh Van Meter is going to play every single day and this guy has absolutely been crushing it. He was crushing it in the minors this year. Doesn't really have the
prospect pedigree, wasn't one of their top prospects. But you know, we've seen players like this come out of nowhere before. Obviously really good ballpark to hidden. He's hitting right in the middle of the order, was batting fifth today. If you play in a deeper league and he has um, he has like a lot of versatility. Is like outfield
in second base really like Josh Van Meter. He's gonna play every day now without weak It's really interesting because I was looking at Josh Van Meter a couple of weeks ago and when he got called up because he got a couple of hits or a couple of home runs early, all right, who is this guy and went to that minor league profile like this is bad, Like this guy is not good. Yeah, he just kind of came out of nowhere. This year and all he's done
since is his hit. So Josh van Meter definitely somebody look out and l only leagues, no doubt, fifteen team leagues, no doubt. And even in your twelve team leagues, get him on the radar and make sure you're checking out Josh van Meter for since now. I think it's a great call, going to play every day. And how about this right? Did you just see who told Jesse Winker
that got traded? Oh? Someone in the stands. Yeah, I saw that video last night and I think it ended up on barstool that you know, someone basically said, you know, this is a this is the most awesome moment of my life. I broke the news to Jesse Winker. So yeah, he tweeted out the video. This guy in like the center field bleachers is yelling at Jesse Winker he just got traded, and uh yeah, he basically broke the news tools and Jesse winkers for like, for who is it?
Straight up? One on one? Like what do we get? It's wild? It's awesome. So they told Trevor Bauer quick is that it? Trammel? Tell or Trammel? All right? Cool? I thought that was awesome. Yeah, it was it was sick. That was that was that was interesting. Yeah, so we're we're sitting here trying to figure out, uh what they're trying to do. Um who who's still trying to make a move along the MLB trade deadline. I'm not sure
the movie yet. In in Fantasy Baseball League, you want to go pick up, you want to go pick up a guy like Joe Himenez. That's out there. Also of note for Arizona, it was Archie Bradley being get the same sight against Yankees for Arizona. It's correct. We gotta we wanta menagine that people will trying to pick up closers this week. Archie Radley gets the same Greg Holland pitch of Middlenning's got rocked um and Archie Radley. It was two days ago. Archie Radley came in last night,
pitched the ninth inning and got the job done. It was you On Lopez pitching the eighth let up a run, but it was Archie Radley in the ninth or the seven to get a lot of run rather well, thank you, Gregor. I'm picking up Archie Bradley right now in our pit league. Who am I going to drop. Actually, I don't have to drop anyone because I just realized I put Ryan Pressley on the deal today. So there you go. I
picked up Archie Bradley and you should too. On Sunday, Tory Lavulo, the Diamondbacks manager, revealed that they were going to remove Greg Holland from the closures role, and there you go. This is the first save opportunity that they've had. It was last night, and they could potentially have another save opportunity today. They're currently winning three two against the Yankees. That game is in a rain delay, so we'll see what happens there. But Archie Bradley did get the first
save opportunity. Archie Bradley gets that same opportunity and converts it. We'll see. I was gonna say in this game with the Yankees there it is a safe situation. Three to two. They're in a massive rain delay. A lot of thunderstorms here in New York City. I'm not sure it will resume anytime soon. Oh, Greg, you're gonna get rained out tonight. You have h yeah, I saw because you, uh, you brought the gear with you. You brought the kickball gear. I have a basketball game that's indoors, so I should
be good to you, will play. You know what's annoying them? So this always happens. People walk on the court. They come in, they come in from outside where it's raining. They walk on the court, the court gets all wet. They know, they know people of the rollers. No, I mean this is a this is a very low paid operation here, Greg. So it's not you know, we're not playing, uh on a Division one basketball court here, We're playing inside of a church in Brooklyn. So yeah, it's very
frustrating to anyone out there who is listening. Might be in my basketball league, or if you play in a basketball league. You come in from outside where it's raining. Do not walk all over the court. It's not smart. Don't do that. You get hurt. I'll try to tear my a c l. Greg knock on wood. This is there. You go Tomorrow a little programming night. A note well
tomorrow and Friday, Gregson will not be here Tomorrow. I will have Nick Ercolano from Big Dogs Gotta Eat on the show live in studio, So will be me and Nick in studio, will have e y on the on Skype for the first hour. We'll have all three of us together, our two it'll just be Nick and myself will go over some of his favorite NFL futures, and
then on Friday, myself and Mike Bash. Mike Bash you might have remembered him from we had him on during the Fantasy Baseball season Greg earlier in the season, and we had him on our NBA Draft Spectacular. So Friday will be myself and Mike Bash. We might have Eric Young in studio Friday as well, so that would be a lot of fun. Yeah, it should be a good show. Thursday Friday, I'll check it out. I will be in uh tidwn town. You're going to a w that's the
Labor New weekend, not this weekend. I'm completely off here. All are you gonna be doing anything else to Chicago? Gray? What? Frank? I'll tell you all the year? All right, there's a there. There might be a convention going on in Chicago. Joel Sherman is reporting that the Mets are not only in cell mode talking to Zack Wheelers still, but also potentially talking about buying. As the deadline approaches, they want to
bulk up their bullpen. We'll see Mets. Why don't the Yankees just trade like Dylan Batantas for Zach Wheeler or something. Does that make sense because Patanzas is hurt in the free agtion. We'll be back at some point, right, come on? The Yankees are going to John Hayman. Is the latest news on them? Are talking about five different relievers right now. With the starter market tough, they may just keep loading up the bullbo who was even left though? In terms
of relievers they could trade for. They're not gonna trade for Phelippe Vasquez because the price is just astronomical. Yeah, you don't want to give up Clint Frazer, just get Phelippe Vascus. I'm sure? Or not right? I mean, he has have a lot of control left. Unless you think a roll of Chapman is gonna opt out of his deal in the off season, which we've kind of heard rumors about. I don't know. I mean, I I don't really know who else is gonna be in the mix
here for well, let's think about it. What are their teams? Oh? Well, the Giants. Giants make a lot of sense. Will Smith. Sam's listen, maybe that's a trade away Debbie and Fraser and you get bum Garner along with Will Smith. Something like that. Yeah, I mean that's that's a little bit more acceptable if you you know, you don't want to just sell your fans and and the franchise on. All right, Well, you know we're gonna trade away Clint Fraser and Debby
Garcia and only get a rental in Madison Bumgarner. You also get Will Smith. That changes things a little bit. Quig He's I think he's under control, right, Smith's he is under control. Yes, Also, Curby Yates could be out there for the Yankees forward New York Yankee also gonna be a big asking price, though big asking price for Curby Yates. So it does seem like the Yankees and
Astro still looking for with that starter. Still talking about Zach Wheeler, Madison Bumgarner, Robbie Ray, the three of the top starters that were on the board earlier today still on the board, remaining as we were under a half hour now until the trade deadline is officially complete. Great, you've missed one of the biggest trades that happened today. How dare you miss money? Our guy, Hey, sous I
didn't miss it over to the Tampa Bay. Rayser goes over the rais and I think he's playing fantasy Baseball's a really nice fit for Haz. He's gonna play every day at first base. They were looking for a thump where they got him a lot of light there. They're playing a lot of Travis Dar Now at first was actually worked out because Dar knows we're really really good for the tim Bay Rays. But now you can keep back capture play Aguilar every day at first base. Yeah,
and we saw the upside of Aglar last year. It admittedly did not work out this year um for the Brewers and for fantasy baseball owners like has Al struggled mightily, uh you know, just striking out a lot and overall the power wasn't there for him this year. That that's basically been the case since the second half of last season. But you know, always put faith, my faith in the Tampa Bay Rays organization, right, they make these moves and they kind of like buy players when no one else wants.
And they did the same thing with Tommy Fam. He was kind of like the odd man out excuse me, for the St. Louis Cardinals, and they go out and get Tommy Fam and look what he's doing. He's performing awesome for the Tampa Bay Rays. It wouldn't surprise me if you know they know something about Haze Taglar, you know, maybe they fix his launch angle a little bit. They tried to do the same thing with the Andy Diaz,
so they're really smart, forward thinking analytical organization. Would not surprise me one bit if they are a team that can figure out We've also heard that they're in the mix for Zack Wheeler as we wait to find out if he will be on the move. I still think he should be everything. I gotta imagine what the Mets will get back is better than what the qualifying offer will bring, I would think, because they would get a team's first round pick, right if they extended the qualifying
offered to Zach Wheeler. It's a competitory pick now, not a first round pick any longer. We have breaking news, Greg, we have breaking ves. Tane Catcher. John Ryan Murphy j R. Murphy, the former New York Yankee, as Joel Sherman says, that's a trade that would normally go down in August having to go down today in July because there is no August trade deadline anymore. John Ryan Murphy, the man who landed Aaron Hicks to the New York Yankees, So thank
you Minnesota Twins for that? Are you Brian Casher for that? They still needed international signing bonus money, so not sure they didn't. They just spend a bunch of that on Dominican Mike Trout. They did, but you need more more they sent other players, need more money to do it. So they announced those signs, but they don't actually have the budget to sign those guys yet, so you need
to acquire that money. And as we mentioned yesterday, the last time they acquired international money, yuh, they trade away Garrett Cooper and Caleb Smith. What wasn't the last time? It is one of the times last time. He did it last time last year as well when they acquired um when they got into like Adam Warren that deal. Yeah, that's perfectly fine. Maybe they'll bring Adam more and back. I think he's pitching for the Padres right now. And both Adam morn and h and Brian Mitchell a bunch
of former Yankee grats out there on the West coast. Absolutely, Okay, we're still basically waiting on the Yankees and Astros, two teams that really they we know they're going to make a deal. We think they are, especially the Astros we know have the prospects here. They have Kyle Tucker, they have far As Whitley, they have prospects in that system. QUEEDI as well, thank you that you're really could at rolling your rs right right, Craig, you know him? Not
what you got over there? Who was it, Joseki. We'll take a break here. MLB trade deadline. Frank and I have you covered up until the four Shawn Wassimakia will cover everything else that we missed, starting at four p m. E. Stern here on f n C s Y, brought to you, of course by Sports Good Frank. Let's get our best bets forever as we await the trade deadline. Keep an eye on Twitter here. How do we do last night? I
went one and one in my best bets. Unfortunately, the Yankees and Diamondbacks did not come through last night in the over, but the Astros and Indians under certainly did. That was an awesome, awesome game. I watched the stuff to hype. Yeah, Justin Verlander against Shane Peter. Both of those guys were amazing. You also went oh and one last night, Greedy, So you're one of one on the week. I am one in three. Give up two more picks tonight, try and get myself back to let's do it. The
Giants and the Phillies. Vinny Alaska as Jeff some Marja. Phillies are a favorite at home. In total is nine and a half. I like streaming Vince Vlaska tonight in Fantasy baseball, but overall this is an interesting game. Jeff
some Marga has pitched much better recently. He's seven and eighties got a three point nine five e R a Vince Velaska's three and five with a four point four six e R. Are you mentioned that the Phillies are a solid favorite here minus one thirty six total at nine and a half, I would probably lean with the Phillies to win this game. I don't feel great about it. None of my best bets will come from this game. My first best bet of the night comes right here
between the Giants and the Phillies. That's probably rain, but it's true. It's raining here in New York right now. Given the under nine and a half in this and when my best best forever even ask is Jeff marg Yeah, my guy, Uh, Mike Yastremsky goes deep tonight, Frank because I'm trying to go under. I picked him up a few uh in a few spots because of his mattress this week in Philadelphia in course Field, sucking out like that.
Houston and Cleveland, Jose what's his last name, Frank, not Queedy, It's Kitty, thank you, Cleveland Indian Zach Police sack Uh. The astertary one might as work were a favorite. Total Once again, it's not in a half, so I pulled up the weather real quick just to take a gander at this. Storms fire in the late afternoon regarding in Philadelphia continue through the evening. Flash flood watch has been issued. So all right, I don't I don't know if that
favors pitching or hitting, and I mean feeling. I feel it would be harder to hit when it's like downpouring like that. But I guess keep that in mind when it comes to uh choosing players in that game. From a DFS perspective, you mentioned police act against Urkidi and police sacer pace very well this year three point one zero e r A. Although I've see those starts have not come against this vaunted Astro's lineup one that is basically back to uh full strength. Greg. You know, I
was watching a game last night. The Astro's lineup is so stacked, dude. Yeah, it's so stacked. I mean they have Carl's corea betting six. It's crazy. He'd be like a three or four hit or on any other team in baseball. It's anyway a little bit of a tangent there. Or Kidi has pitched very well recently, uh as well here Greg, they're the Astros are minus one four on the road here, close game. You know, if I'm choosing
a side, I'd probably go with the Houston Astros. I know, normally you like to say if you can get the Houston Astros as slight favorites, you'd like to be all over that. This is a little bit more than a slight favorite at minus I like it. It's not one of my best bets. I like it to not one of my best bets either. But the Astros lineup is stacked in Cleveland tonight. Although uh, Cleveland should be fun and rocket and ruins. You see how we there tonight.
I would guess not yet. He probably has to like pass through physical or something. I mean, you know, he was just having brawls last night, Greg, And I don't know if he's gonna be in the lineup right away here. Actually I have the Indians lineup. He is not a part of it neither, as friend will raise now, I think the Astros as well. Quick little trade update, Frank, the Giants have traded a reliever. It's Mark Molansen. Mark Molanson really headed to Atlanta to beave up that Braves bullpen.
Any chance he closest Thereully Shane green, Mark Molanson, Chris Martin, and Luke Jackson all in the mix, but didn't. Mark Llanson still have a couple of years on that contract with like decent amount of money on it. I thought he was the least likely to be traded of that group. Is crazy, all right? Well, the Atlanta Braves making moves here. I think they're kind of taking a little page out of the Yankees book. If they can't acquire starting pitching,
just try and get as many relievers as possible. Absolutely, try as much as possible there. Mark Molanson is getting paid fourteen million dollars next year, dude, So it's probably gonna end up being the closes. The Giant's gotta trade the The Giants just gonna pay so much money. Giants gotta put that down, right, they gotta pay like they're gonna they're gonna take on some of that money, right. Well, how much money they take on is going to be
dependent on what kind of prospect they get in return. Yeah. Absolutely, they get a really good prospect and they're probably not gonna eat a lot of money. If it's a lower level prospect, then they probably eat a deepe. Of course, that's what it's gonna be about Let's go on to our next game. The Twins in the Marlin, Sandy Alkanzara taking on Jose Barrios and the Twinkies. Twins are heavy favorite.
Over underhears is to eat. Yeah, So this over under That's where I'm looking at most, because I think that the Twins might be able to get to Sandy Alcantara here. Alcantara was an all star but overall struggles a little bit with walks. The e r A is not great either when it comes to Sandy Alkantara. If I was to choose anything in this game, Greg, I mean, the Twins are such a big favorite at minus one, you have to parlay that with something else. Maybe the Mets
later on with the gram will get to that later. Uh. I like the over a decent amount here, but it's not one of my best bets over I think like the under actually, but I'm not messing with this. Of course. I don't expect a lot of runs. Would It just wouldn't surprise me if Sandy all Kantara. It's knocked around a little bit here against the Minnesota Twins, the Raise and Adam Kitcher in starting we expect that Ryan yard roll bitch the majority of these innings taking on Rick
Porcello and the Red Sox. I believe the highest game total tonight on the board, it's eleven, Frank, Yeah, Levin is the total the Red Sox and Rick Porcello minus one fifty four here. You know, I would have some interest in taking the raise as an upset special here with Ryan Yarbro coming in. It's not one of my best bets. The total is high at e Levin. Rick Porcello has been inconsistent this year. Mm hmm. The thing that I like most in this game is the raised
money line at plus one thirty four. Greg, It's not It's not my best bet. What are you thinking? Uh? The trade coming through here? Greg? No, it's a text for me. For me, the raised money lines obviously the number here. I don't want to mess with the total. I think a lot of runs could be scored, like kind of like the over. Obviously, don't not confident enough to bet, however, the Red Sox uh the heavy favorite.
Ripport Cello on the mount some of the mets before good pitching matchup between the Graham and Giolito totals eight. The Mets are once again in Chicago. Heavy heavy favorite of Jacob de Gram. Yeah, this is gonna be an awesome game to watch tonight, Not necessarily for teams that are competing, because we don't really expect much from the Mets or the White Sox, but from a fantasy perspective tonight, this is going to be one to watch if you
like pitching. Jacob Graham at six and seven. Of course, even with a two point eight six c r A, the Mets can't give this guy some run support. Lucas Giolito eleven and five three point five too. This is one of my best bets tonight. I am taking the under a road with the pitching matchup last night and the under between Shane Bieber and Verlander. I am doing the same thing tonight between the Graham and Lucas Giolito.
One of my best bets the under at eight Greg Lucas Giolito for the White sucks, and he hasn't been nearly as good as he was, Frank, We'll see if he can get it going tonight against the Mets. Crimmian opportunity under an eight is a low number. Really know what way to go? I'm not touching this game. Cubbies and coin knows Kyle Hendricks versus Miles Mikolis basically pick him game total once again? Is that eight? Yeah? Huge game here in the National League Central. Both of these
guys have pitched better as of late. Kyle Hendrix at seven and eight three point to six e r A, Miles Miko Loss seven and ten at a four point one nine e r A. Also one of my best bets, Greg in this game taking me over eight runs scored and just you know, if you know me for years. Not a huge fan of Kyle Hendrix, the Cardinals are a team that has seen him plenty of times before. Same thing could be said. On the other side with the Cubs going up against Miles Miko Loss, these guys
more so pitched to contact, Greig. They don't really strike out a lot of guys. If there's a lot of contact in this game. Based on that juice ball, I think we get some runs in this game. I'm taking over eight. It's a best bet of mine, all right, over over eight a best bet of yours tonight. Miles making those kind of unders. I like that one, dude, you can jump in. We can both make it. The best bet. I'm not gonna do that, all right, I'm not gonna do that. Only one more game, one more
game left. It's the Brewers and the Athletics. Is Jordan for the Brewers, Brett Anderson for the Athletics. The total is nine, Reggy, the Oakland A's are a short favorite here at minus one twenty with your favorite pitcher ever on the mountain, Brett Anderson, and I interest you in the Oakland A's money line. You can insure me in this game. It is one of my best bets. We're going overnight overnights and Brett Anderson on the Man tonight. Yeah,
Jordan Lyles has been actually getting destroyed. Yeah, there was an interesting trade the other day. I understand that the Brewers basically just need arms that can eat some endings there for them. But Jordan's Lyles has been a gas can recently, So yeah, I like that one to a decent amount. The total is nine. But man, Brett Anderson soft tossing left. He doesn't try anyone out. He's pitched
pretty well. Man, It's crazy. See what happens. Yeah, absolutely, As we are five minutes away from the trade deadline, looking to see all of the latest information here, And are there gonna be any trades that happened like after the deadline because they weren't technically finalized there. Yeah, you'll you'll hear about that here. The latest one. I'm seeing David Robertson the Phillies better reliever out for the rest of the season, and he may need Tommy John surgery
as well. Oh my god, Yankees dodging a bullet there when it comes to David Robertson. But man, that sucks. They paid him a decent amount of money there in Philly as well. Greg I got this from John Hayman. How about this. Yankees are one of several teams looking at Aaron Sanchez as a potential bullpen piece for guy he doesn't want to pitch out of the bullpen. Why wouldn't you trade for Stroman if you're gonna trade for the from the Blue Jays. Well, I'm sure you know.
They've had a lot of back and forth in terms of which prospects of because they've been trying to get Ken Giles, they've been trying to get Stroman. They're talking about Aaron Stanchions right now. But he's not gonna not as a starting pitcher as a reliever. I don't know, man, right, he is someone who throws hard and originally was a reliever. I remember a couple of years ago we expected him to be the closer. It was Roberto Osuna. So we have some experience there, and you know, maybe that would
help him stay healthy. He's dealt with a lot of finger and you know, fingernail issues and blister issues. So look, if he's not out there throwing the ball as much, I guess he won't be as prone to those issues. But I don't know. Potentially curious move here for the New York Yankees, they have mostly set idle. Here we have the Astros, though the Astros haven't made a move either. I know they did acquire um Our Temail Nato earlier
today from the Cubs, but nothing else there. Yeah, there's nothing, nothing else coming in here, Greg, So we got our we got our best bets. Greggy is on the Phillies and the Giants under nine and a half night. He's also on the Milwaukee Brewers in the Oakland A's over nine. We're going on. We're all in on a total tonight. Greg. I have the mets and socks. I have a nice little pictures duel there between gee Leto and Jacob Degram. Hopefully Edwin Diaz doesn't implode once again, because that would
be a disaster. Maybe Alex call me on the other side. Maybe that's someone the see. If Edwin Diaz is still met in eight minutes from now, you shall see. I like the under eight in that game. My other best bet the Cubs and the Cardinals. Kyle Hendrickson, Miles mikloss over eight total is just a little bit too low for me. Greggy, Yeah, that's I get it. The eight
number is low for me as well. And just like that nine number is uh in that game we spoke about earlier between the Brewers and the oak Lath Flush my guy joined lyles us, my guy. Everyone's your guy, alright, just bad players, mostly Jimmy Yaco Bonus. So I'm pitching recently. I was watching this game on Monday with with Mike. It was the Orioles and the Padres. I said, you know, Greg loves Jimmy Yaca Bonus. He said, who. So that's all you need to know about Jimmy Yacob and he's
an idiot. He said that, who's an idiot? Who's an idiot, Floria that he doesn't know me like a bonuses obviously nothing. I mean, how can you not blame him? He's a superstar? Are you excited to uh, you know, leave me hanging and and go party for two weeks in a matter of a three week span with you? What you're not? You don't want to you don't want to go to Chai Town. I'd rather be here working with you. All right. I'm texting Jet the Jeff fan right now and I'm
hitting him, not jeffs. That's in the end of the end of August Labor Day weekend. You're going away then too, you know what? Thursday and Friday again, just Friday and he and Danny too. Breaking news to me to probably look at the big board of the board people who are away. I'll be away mid August. For how am I gonna do host the show? I don't even have friends like you. I can just call in. Why don't you invite some of your your friends here bachelor parties?
Since you didn't invite me, there's a disaster. What do they Flora coming in? I want to they e y as well? Do you want to co host with me? With Franks gone, let me know we need help for vil. I'm Greg Saucer, having fantastic rest of your day, Shug Lost Monkey is up next. We'll catch up every thinking the trade deadline, Frank, we'll see tomorrow. Well, hope from the NFL to the NBA. What did Here's what you missed
on the VFS Tyreek Hill. His targets went up by you know, thirty two from eighteen and the points that he misses out on not having like over a hundred receptions. I mentioned this when we were doing the Chiefs preview. He makes up with rushing yards, I mean people don't really you know, they don't really take that into account.
But if he's behind these guys about like fifteen receptions, he makes up for it with his you know, a hundred fifty rushing yards every year that he has because he does get a few of those uh snaps in the backfield. So I like Tyreek Hill. I'm not going to say that there's no risk involved with drafting him because again, something could pop up. But is upside, it's potentially higher than Michael Thomas. I'm gonna keep hitting on that. I don't. I don't think that's crazy to say. I
don't know, I don't. I don't disagree necessarily that the upside is potentially greater than Michael Thomas. But only we but a week two week basis, e y, you don't think, I know, you have Tyreek Hill above Michael Thomas on a week to week basis? Are you not more comfortable with Thomas than Hill? I mean, and this always goes down to I mean, I mean, I feel also I've said this forty times and I'll probably say it another two thousand times. It just depends on your draft and
how you've constructed your team from that point. I mean, like, do you already have another one not wide receiver? Do you have Hopkins? And now in the second round, like, I'm probably not gonna take either of those guys. I'm gonna probably take a running back. So it just depends um on on what you have and what you're looking to do in your draft strategy. It's the most important part of the draft is have a bit of an idea and uh and but you gotta be totally plapable
depending on who gets taken where. Yeah, I look at that consistency, and that's why I had Michael Thomas a little bit above Tyreek Hill. Listen, I I think Tyreek Hill is very, very fun and I think having him paired with Patrick Mahomes obviously it's like they're gonna put a ton of points. But and again, are you pointing to this yesterday with here and Michael Thomas, Right, they had that middle stretch of the season where he did nothing,
and it's very very concerning. But I think there's a better chance of there's games where Tyreek Hill also does nothing. Because it's Floria pointed out, it's Albucamara, it's Michael Thomas, and what about Jared Cook. Yeah, I knew that was coming. But with Kansas City, like with Damie Williams and with Travis Kelsey, with Sandy Watkins is just but he doesn't even need to target share. That's what it comes down to, right. He only had a hundred and thirty seven targets last
year and still finished the wide receiver one. That efficiency is not going the Chiefs as a whole. Their offense is not going to be, in my opinion, not nearly as efficient it was it was last year, Like Patrick Mahome scored more Fantasy points than any quarterback ever, only LT had more than him. And their offense they were
connecting on big plays. They were like twenty two in the league in in y'all targets to running backs, but they had the most efficient past kitchen running backs and as far back as the stats can track, so like they were. They were off the charts efficient that I think we'll take a little hit Florial quickly. In drafts in the second round, would you rather draft Tyree Hiller, Travis Kelsey, Hill e Y, Travis Kelsey or Tyree Hill Geez?
I mean having Kelsey just gives you such an advantage of one position to probably Kelsey we'll talk more about it. On the other side, you have to continues after this
