You're listening to the Fantasy Sports Radio Network. Fantasy best Friends Forever. Welcome inside the fantacy best Friends Forever. Longside the King, Scott Angle, I am Frank Stance. We want to welcome in all our viewers on the First Suit Network.
No Greg Stoft have been for now. Because of that, Scott, I thought it'd started off with a little bit of my own flavor, you know, a little a little metallica to get the show started here Greg, because I can't sing, I can't do do do without Greg, and I thought what better way to introduce the King than, you know, a little a little nice metallica. Let's go a little heavy, you know, I can play a little acts here, you know, do a little air guitar I'm more used to that.
But it's good to be here. You know, I've uh, you know, i've kind of felt that left out of the loop for a long time, like I was never like, you know, one of the best friends, you know, is it's something I said. You know, but I guess I guess, uh, I guess the cloud has been lifted. Yeah, we've heard, we heard, we heard some chirping behind our backs. So you know we had to uh, we'll alleviate that. Will say it to your face, to say it to my face. Yeah, alright,
I will welcome you in. Well, you know, we'll do a special, a little special here. King Uh, you know, I just wanna to be honest, I just want to jump into the games. I want to jump into the games here. Well, we'll talk about the early games to get started here. And there's a lot going on. But and we spoke about this yesterday, Scott, and I think it was interesting that, you know, a lot of people have questions regarding quarterbacks who are in tough spots this week,
and I'm looking at a guy like Matt Ryan. I'm getting a lot of questions about Matt Ryan. I'm looking at this game. It's the Falcons against the Arizona Cardinals right now, and the Falcons are favored big time in this matchup right now and it's in Atlanta. But the Cardinal has been very, very stout against quarterbacks recently, and Matt Ryan has been up and down the offense with Seves Arcasion. So we're getting a lot of questions with
Matt Ryan. What are you doing with Matt Ryan? Are you starting guys like Josh Allen, Are you starting guys like Lamar Jackson, missil Trobiski, Because we're getting a lot of those questions right now, Scott, all of those guys my line of branks who roto experts dot com right now, I have the ranked ahead of Matt Ryan, and check out check out my ranks because I did the Luxe
ranks because it's important. Week fifty. I wrote player not ouside, every single player this week, every skill asan player, and one that I came up with when you talk about Matt Ryan is that the Cardinals are actually third best on ESPN. Uh you know, using that as a guide against opposing fantasy quarterbacks and with Ryan be up and down. Now, look, Patrick Peterson may play some shadow coverage on Julio, and that doesn't mean that he's going to win all of
those battles. But the point is where else is Matt Royan gonna go with the ball? Calvin really has basically been mostly non existent since Week four. Mohammedson to new he's mediocre. He's he's good enough to lose a fantasy game with. That's what Mohamedson new is. Austin Hooper has been disappointing. The running game has been disappointing. So look, they're back home. And sometimes people tend to look at whether a team is good or not when when evaluating
the matchups, that's not what it's about. You know. The Cardinals, like you said, like like I just laid out with the stat they're better against opposing fantasy quarterbacks and people get credit for I'm with you, So you know guys like Josh Allen, Glamar Jackson, I have them ranked just ahead of Matt Ryan. That's for me, So you know, I'll go in that direction. Some rookie quarterbacks who are
providing safe floors because of their rushing potential. Scott and now let's keep it on the Falcon side for now. You mentioned Julio Jones, even if Patrick Peterson shadows him, there's no question you're keeping Julio Jones in your lineup. Calvin Ridley, he's a guy who you know, he's popped off the screen a few times this year, and he you know, he's had big games in sometimes of touchdowns, but the yardage that targets, the receptions, the floor hasn't
necessarily been there for him. So he's kind of touchdown or bust wide receiver three. And I think that there are some wide receivers who are ascending at this point right now, Guys like the Panthers wide receivers Curtis Samuel, Guys like uh like Dante Pettis who are are are playing well right now. I don't know that I want to trust Calvin Ridley with my you know, my fantasy season online in Week fifteen in the Fantasy playoffs, Scott, Look,
you look at his game blog. I don't remember the last time that you know, the guy went over like sixty yards, you know, maybe woods like the last seven or eight games. That's just off the top of my head. But look, that's unofficial. You look at the game blog, it's it's not pretty. You know, I'd rather use Tim Patrick right now than use Calvin Ridley, because watching that Denver game last week, I watched it again after seeing it the first time, and every time Case Heatam seemed
to have like a key passing down. It looks like Tim Patrick was his first reading. You talk about the Carolina receivers right now, Cam Newton is taking and dunking and taking everything underneath. But he's going to these guys. He's trying to be high percentage. He's not throwing down field right now. I mean, like, uh, Curtis Samuel. He's had at least eight yards are touched on in five
of his last six games, four consecutive games. You talk about the last two he's got double figure PPR points, and then the two before that he scored a touchdown in each game. If you go outside about say the top twenty wide receivers right now in fantasy football, I don't think a lot of people are talking about it. They're not comfortable start right there. A lot of these wide receiver three positions right now is like you look at it, unless uh, I'm saying, for the most part,
everybody is a different situation. But you look at those wide receiver three sort of situations you say to myself, you know, did I start Robert Foster or Larry Fitzgerald. That's what we're looking at. Yeah, I think Larry Fitzgerald is another one too. We'll talk about in this game. I think there's there's a group and you know, I wrote about this on road or experts dot Com as well. There's a group of low end wide receiver threes that I just don't really want anything to do with their
touchdown or bust. Even in good matchups, they haven't been able to perform. It's guys like Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Ridley, that's like to Marrius Thomas, right who all right? They might have helped us earlier this year, they might have helped us in years past, but they're not the same you know, fantasy producers that they were, and for various reasons. I mean, for Fitzgerald it's you know, Josh Rosen, the offense is not playing well right now. To Marrius Thomas,
the target share hasn't necessarily been there. He has to compete with DeAndre Hopkins Lamar Miller getting touches for the Texans. So I think you're right. I mean, outside of really the top fIF team, maybe twenty wide receivers, and you know, going and digging through the rankings like it's a crap shoot. It is a crapshoot out there. So in that same game, I don't really love Larry Fitzgerald. I'll keep it on the Falcons side for one more here. I think the
Falcons running backs are in play as flex options. And I know that they've let a lot of people down when it comes to Tevin Coleman and Edo Smith. But the Cardinals have just bled fantasy production to running backs all season long. And with the Falcons favored by eight and a half points at home this week, Scott, you have to imagine they'll be playing with the lead. The Cardinals have allowed the most rushing attempts per game to
opposing running backs. That's because opposing teams are constantly playing with the lead. I could see Edo Smith and Tevin Coleman in play as flex options this week. Scott. Here's the thing is, we don't know that the lad is gonna play with the lead like the Cardinals did with Green Bay. You know, they walked in there and they played a really good game. You don't want to rely on. Look, there's matchups and Ken Kitty opposed to take advantage of
the matchup. I don't have any confidence, especially in Tevin Coleman, that he could take advantage of this matchup. And Edo Smith it's actually been out producing him the last two weeks. I'm in my fantasy playoffs. I want to go to the super Bowl. I'm avoiding this situation. You're avoiding the Uh yeah, I can't. I can't just I can't. Just
look at the matchup. And here's here's another examples of the Raiders are against tight ends, right, and people say, oh, let's start C Jose, and people recommend C Joy every week. The guy has has not had a game over fifty five yards and just two touchdowns this year. Sometimes there's a good matchup, but can the player take advantage of it. I can't have confidence in these guys that they can't.
It is seasonal league now, now, Frank, if you want to run those guys out in DFS, I'm both for the risk, but in seasonal I need something safer, alright. So I mean, look, I have them ranked ahead of guys like Marlon Mack Josh Adams. It's just Marlon Mack going up against the Cowboys. You look at it's the complete opposite situation here, and he's been banged up. He
hasn't been putting up a lot of yards either. So just me personally, I'm looking at those Falcons running backs and I will trust the match up a little bit more than guy's life. I don't, I don't, I don't look. I don't like Marlon Mackie don't running back this week. I have Mawboys did their left five games have allowed one rushing score and no running back to go about seventy yards, and they get shortly possibly back this week.
So I mean we're in there. We're in that vicinity though, Like the Falcons running backs are in that flex discussion right there inside like that. But I'm not comfortable about using any of those guys. I agree. I mean, it's just like, you know, when we get to this point in the season, it's like you really do get to that point, when you get to that point your rankings too, It's like I'll use any of those over Adrian Peterson this week, but I might take jayleb Richard over them.
That's I mean, that's that's totally different stories. Scottie. Uh. Last thing I'll touch on on this game. The Falcons defense, they haven't been very good. But again this is what we're talking about. Does the matchup outweigh the fact that the Falcons defense is not very good. Would you trust the Falcons as a streaming defense this week against the Cardinal Scott. I don't think I could use the Falcons against anybody. Yeah. To me, there were three main streaming
defenses this week. It was the Lions and the Bills who were facing each other. I like the Giants to the Giants have been playing good giants going up against the Tennessee Titans, even without Landing Council, you would use you would use the Giants, would use the Lions and the Bills over the Falcons as well. The Bills are like one of my top three this week. You know, they've been playing, they've been playing well, they've been getting good at matchups. You know, just go just going through
my ranks. So for for ratification about what I'm talking about here, I have Marlon mc number thirty. I have Chris Ivory right ahead of him. I have Jaylen's, I have Jilt's uh, I have JAYL. Richard just a few spots ahead of them. But I have Edo Smith and Tevin Colban five spots behind Marlon Mack. Hm, I I trust the Falcons, guys, that's just kid, How could you trust them? Tevin Goldman has been a huge disappointment. He has, he definitely has. But this is this is where I'm
looking at Marlon Mack. I mean, Nihim Heinz is still getting some touches here for the Indianapolis Colts, and you reference how bad the matchup is against the Dallas Cowboys, so bad to take a shot on him trying to get the end zoded. Trust either one of those factor parting back. But then again we get to this whole point in ranks we should be using the word trust. Yeah, that's exactly right. I mean these are flex options in deeper leagues. Let's keep it going with getting a lot
of questions about Aaron Rodgers as well. Obviously going into Chicago and facing the Bears this week. We spoke about them as well earlier on in the week, but if you weren't around for that, we had a big debate. You know, look at what look at what the Bears defense has done at home this year, Scott, and they even shut down that Jared Goff led. You know that Todd Durley led Rams offense in Chicago one week ago, So you know, how are you handling the Packers offensive weapons?
I think Davante Adams. I mean, he's in your lineup. There's no question about that. One of the most consistent fantasy wide receiver seasons I've seen in a long time, at least eighty one receiving yard, at least eighty one yards or touched on in every single game this season. He's got tied for the NFL lead with twelve touchdowns. I don't care who he faces. How are you? How are you handing Rodgers Rogers? People still say and Aaron
Jones because the Bears are very stout against run. Oh with Aaron Rodgers, people are saying, is it crazy to start Josh Allen over Aaron Rodgers. No, I have Josh Allen six spots ahead of Aaron Rocks. I have Rodgers the seventeen. The Bears the best against forty fantasy quarterbacks. They allow only thirteen and a half points per game the opposing fantasy quarterbacks. So I can't use Aaron Rodgers
with any confidence. Strip the name off the back of the jersey's right Scotty joined the club at this point of the season, shrift the name off the back of the jersey. Aaron Jones, I still have the top seventeen because the workload to free be there. Uh you know, sort of mid range RB two. But you can't you can't have a lot of confidence. Look, I Rodgers have one of the Packers and Aaron Rodgers Packers team could have one of the lowest score games of his era.
This is a team that held the Rams the six points and this is not the same Packer's offense. Yeah, it hasn't been looking at Rogers the past three games, hasn't thrown for more than two or than thirty three yards and any of those doesn't have anybody but Davante Adams. Jimmy Grave has been a huge bust, and the rookies have not stepped up. But Marcus Valdes Scantley was like a cobbin here already's gone. And I'm sure you're not saying that. Jimmy Graham has been a huge disappointment because
he left your people love at Seahawks. That's got nothing to do with it. The guy has been a massive, massive but he definitely Yeah, Ted touchdown catches last year? Yeah, how many does you have this year? I don't know, the top of the top of my head. I think he's got two or three. Yeah, I think he's got two off the top of my head. But I don't think he's had a red zone target like the last
five games. So within this game, Scott Rogers, you mentioned you mentioned Josh Allen that you'd start him over Aaron Rodger. Would you start Trabiski on the other side? Travisky? You didn't look good against the Rams a week ago, but you know he is one of these guys who makes plays with his legs and on paper, it's a better matchup going up against the Packers defense in their secondary than it is for Aaron rodd I have top ten
this week. I got alright. You know the pack the Packers have given up three touchdown passes in three of their past four games. Uh, so you can throw on this team. It's a second week back. He'll I think he'll be in a better, better rhythm. Uh. You know, I like the match up for Trubisky. I know he's been he was trending a little bit down before he got hurt. It wasn't a good game. But you know I I like this match up against Green Bay. I
think you can throw in three green Bay. So if you like Trabisky, I'm gonna ask you about the pass catchers here, Trey Burton. Look, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Beak. When it comes to trade Burton, please just drop the guy. Like I know Scott doesn't like use on the this week, like I'm using cj Use over Trede Burton. I don't. I would do that. I could, I couldn't use see I could use c j use alma over over a
lot of guys. He's right nineteeth me again. Two touchdowns and not over fifty same boat anything either. Tray Burn has been a big disappoint Davis Anthony ferks it over those guys. Would he was already Scot he was, he was getting stuff done when Jona Smith was still on the lineup, and he also played a season to see end and then you're insane. No, I don't like Trey Burn. He's not inside my top ten, okay, not inside my top twelve. Mean, once you get past the top, you're
rolling dice. But at least he was healthy earlier in the year, he got in the end zone. There's no way I'm using c J Zonba. Maybe it's complete insanity. C J. Gaziba has been nothing for seven weeks. At least the matchup is there, Scott. The matchup is better, but he can't take advantage of the matchup. But it's one thing to have the matchup, it's another to have a player that can't take advantage of the matchup. C Joziba has not existed. Tree Burton hasn't taken advantage of
anything either either. Scott. Earlier the season. At least we saw earlier in the season we were talking about. We haven't seen anything from c jab all year. Let's look at Trey Burton the last four weeks. Scott one reception for nine yards, four receptions twenty yards a guess the Giants, one target, zero donuts across the board, zero reception, zero yards, zero everything against the Rams. Two receptions to his gay
blog earlier this season, but Trabisky was healthy. You could look at cj Ozba's entire game blog and you will not see a single good game. I agree to disagree. I'll take your sama over what Scott. If you if you like like Mitte Trobisky, you have to like the pass catchers right for the Bears. Allen Robinson, he's inside my top twenty. I'm very excited about him this week. I think he's a mid range wide receiver too. Are you in on Allen Robinson because he's let a lot
of people down? I like I like Tarkhen as well. Those two right there, Tarik Cohen and Allen Robinson, you're buying out of both of those. Anybody else on the side like a wide rechie The three Robinson I like is a wide receiver. I'm a little bit higher on him this week. I think he's inside the top twenty four. There he goes Scotty, lightening up the drum set, lighting up the guitar. Here we are the Fantasy best friends forever,

Let's jump right back into it. You're you know you you appreciate music like I do. You're all over the place. You appreciate you know, the freestyle nineties stuff, that stuff,
you know Metallica. You know Scott's a huge Kiss fan obviously, so I appreciate that. You know, you can I can jump all over the place musically with you and have no issues. Whereas you know, I get Greg over here and he's like, I want to listen to I don't want to play violin, listen to Taylor Swift and appreciated Scotty. Let's keep it moving here. We just spoke about the Packers and the Bears game. I guess, just like let's put a bowl on that. You mentioned the running back
position outside. You know, once you get into that flex discussion, it's grossed. Jordan Howard actually ran pretty effectively against the Rams last week nineteen for over a hundred yards. Are you trusting him as a I know in PPR he doesn't catch any passes, but in standard or even half PPR, you're trusting him as a flex option. No, it's his first hundred yard game of the season. Maybe they try
to play some ball control here. But there's certain guys you just if you're still at your fantasy playoffs, I mean Howard your second or third round probably George Jordan Howard. You know you're probably saying, Okay, looks good at Daily rodo a DFS NBA tonight. You're not wrong, say all right, let's keep it moving here. Then the Miami Dolphins going up against the Minnesota Vikings. Another early start here. I
guess let's start on the Minnesota side of things. Obviously, they fire their offensive coordinator, John de Filippo was not doing a great job by all accounts across the board. That's a tough one. That's one that's when you have to have the Google tab open next to it so you can just look and like spell check his name while you're writing it out. Oh yeah, but he was. It was a huge disappointment for him. I mean, given the weapons that they have on this team, Scott, and
I know Kirk Cousins is somewhat to blame. You know, in that game against Seattle, down on the goal line, they go for it on fourth down, He's looking Kyle Rudolph's way, and Adam Feeland is wide open. I realized that's like a split decision. You have to make that that call right there as soon as you snap the ball.
But Kirk Cousins has not plaid well either. With that being said, I do think that this is a better spot for him, coming back home facing a Miami Dolphins defense which over the past month has a lot of the second most Fantasy points to a close opposing quarterbacks. Kirk Cousins is back inside my top twelve this week. Scott. I wouldn't go as far to put him into the
top twelve. I have ring sixte this week because I think you see a decent floor this week with no upside because what I think you know, watching that gave extensively last week. I was surprised that Minnesota run the ball more than they did because whenever Dalvin Cook got his hands on the ball, he kind of looked explosive.
And to offset that that past rush, since they were getting into double TV, they were getting into secondary, they needed to either a run the ball or throw the ball board to Dalvin Cook out of the backfield to help the receivers, and De Filippo just didn't see that, probably one of the reasons why he got fired. I think there's gonna be more offensive balance from Minnesota because you could really run a Miami like especially a few weeks ago, like running backs were like around mid seas
were really tearing them up. Their linebacker cruise not too good. So I think you see more offensive balance I think from Minnesota, and I think it's steadies Cousins don't doesn't really have any upside this week, but I think he won't hurt me either. So for for those at home who were watching and saying, well Tom Brady. Was this quarterback one last week's got going up against that same Miami Dolphins defense. What would you say to those Well,
that was Tom Brady Cousins, you know it's quarterback. You know, actually I like the like classic Tom Brady last week? Would you use Cousins or the rookie quarterbacks Lamar Jackson or and Josh Owen. I would definitely use for sure. I have five spots head of Cousins. I mean, this guy has been going twenty points and above each of the last three weeks. The lines are vulnerable to uh, the rushing quarterbacks as well, and uh, you know they're
they're not too good against fantasy quarterbacks either. I think they're like below the middle of the pack. There's somewhere like eighteeth or something like that. I can't remember off the top of my head. But you know Josh Allen right now, if he's not running the ball, he's not afraid to throw it down field either, And that works, you know, sometimes against him, sometimes for him. He's he's dynamic. And I can't say that about Kirk Cousins and Baker
big Fields. Bill playing great football right now, and I like his matchup right now. Kirk Cousin is not a starting consideration for me, because hey, he was horrible last week. But I think they want to get him back to the point where he's respectable, and that's not enough for me. All right, another agree to this Moreevie. I'm a little bit higher on kirk Cousins this week, but you mentioned
Dalvin Cook. He's inside my top twelve at the running back position because I do think that the Dolphins could be run on. This season, They've allowed a hundred and thirty keen rushing yards per games to opposing running backs. That's fourth highest in the NFL. I know that the Vikings have struggled to run the football this season, but I think that this is a spot where they get Dalvin Cook back on track. Don't allow him to get the rhythm and maybe because they're worried about getting hurt.
I'm just speculating. There, feed him the ball, that's that's up, that's a play. Actually throw the ball out of the backfield. You know, it makes the defense pay attention to something else in the passing game. Dalvin Cook is the key then re established the offense. I think so is he? Is he a low n RB one for you high in two RB two for me and RB two. You know, but everybody has been so disappointed with Dalvin Cook that you know, you just you say his David, people curl
their lip. You know it's yeah, they just want to you know, they want to write him off because you know, he's done a lot of fantasy owners dirty this year.
Scott and people, you know, they can they keep that taste in their mouth when when a fantasy player, when a player in the NFL does a fantasy owner wrong, they keep that they remember that like fantasy owners, they do, but they have to let go of it at some point, especially what you consider somebody, your other options that you might have, you know, take the bad taste out of your mouth. Otherwise start Tevin Colman and I'm not doing it. I'm not sure. I look I like the Falcons running
back says flex options. I'm not starting either one of those over Dalvin Cook. Not even close on the on the Miami side of things, Scott, I don't really know what to say here because it's just a crapshoot of from the passing game. You want a stat in the last eight games, no quarterback who has faced the Minnesota Vikings is cracked fifty fantasy points. Yeah, so I think, you know, outside of two quarterback leagues, people weren't really
relying on Ryan Tannehill anyway. But you know people were starting for those who have like, you know, hitched on to Kitty Still. Yeah, they were. That's exactly where I was leading with that. They were buying. You know, it's not a good outlook, not even a low end wide receiver three for you. You're out? You want to go in a different direction? Yes, all right? Yeah, I mean I'd rather start Tim Patrick than Ketty Stills. I could get I could get behind that Scott because Patrick top
twenty six this week. Kenny Stills yet tough matchup. You know, he's the guy who plays on the outside. They're not typically gonna use him on the slot. So he could see Xavier Roads Roads not having the same season that he did last year, but still has been serviceable, and they've you know, they've limited production to wide receivers, and in the running situation, it's like, okay, how many how many random fifty yr touch on are gonn dif from
Brandon Bolden this week? We need we need Kenyan Drake to have a miracle, Uh, a miracle play at the end of the game in order to meet fantasy value. Like his usage with Adam Gaze as the head coach has just been baffling this year in my opinion's got I know Frank Gore has run effectively for for the rhetor for the veteran that he is, but the the usage between Dolphins running backs has been extremely frustrating. And you know, we we keep talking about these flex running backs.
I don't I don't even really want to trust Kenyan Drake or or Frank Gore in that range either trust Kenny direct, but he's explosive score from anywhere in the field at any time. I think it'd be tough for against Bennesota. Uh. The subcompy week. The thing is with the Dolphins there seven and six, nobody ever wants to use their players. But then, uh, you know, they always find a way to be made competitive and put points on the board. It's just it's hard to predict who's
going to contribute to any given week. It's like all of a sudden, you go about it. Kenny Steeles at DeVante Parker catch two touchdowns. You know, you just you don't know because there's no rhyme or reason about I don't like the past the game this week. I would use Key Drake over the Atlanta running back style. You wouldn't. I would come on, I thought I was gonna get you into the Falcons running backs at least over one player. I'll take the upside of a dy Drake over either
either of those guys. All Right, it's a little bit harder for me because the matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. I see what you're saying. He coun score from anywhere on the field. But you know, as you reference, there's no rhyme or reason when it comes to Adam Gates and his usage with the Miami Dolphins running backs. With that being said, I do want to sign off for the Pursuit Network at this time. We appreciate everyone for watching. Will be back same time next week. Thank you for watching.
All right, Scotty, Now we can we can talk a little bit more. We can open it up a little bit more. Now here um talk about obviously Thursday night football, huge matchup tonight. I want to preview this game. Will have doctor A coming up next of inside injuries. We can talk about all the you know, I don't know that there's ever been a Thursday night game, Scott which has with as many fantasy implications in the fantasy playoffs, involving this many questionable play I don't I don't know
that this many players that it makes such a huge difference. Rivers, Melvin Gordon, Justin Jackson, Austin Neckler has already been ruled out, Spencer Ware doubtful, Damian Williams, Tyree Kill, Travis Kelsey. It's everybody in this game tonight is is you know, is gonna be fantasy viable? And we have so many questions. So we'll get that up next with dr a of inside injuries. But before that, Sky that Gordon was not
expected to play. I I saw the report from Schefter in the morning as well, so um I was last night from the NFL network Antony lib Would saying that they did not expect him to play. Jeffter went on someone's radio show this morning and was talking about Melvin Gordon. They're gonna give him an opportunity to to uh to work on the field, pregame to see if he can get UH, if he if he can play and health.
He did say last night that it's not looking good though. Bivona, I don't know if you're around, but whoever's down there producing the show, can you you get that clip ready that I sent you because it has to do with tonight and previewing. The came in that we could have a little bit of fun with this. Uh and with that being said, we can't have fun without Mr Fun himself, Greg Susman, Greg Susman, who will be joining the show in just a few moments. Here with myself, the King's Scott.
Somehow I got Battis to recorder this. This is what you Battist to the corner. The King takes over your spot. It's his throne. So the King just walks in. I was beaten down. I felt like Corey right, I was beating down on the floor. And next thing I know, I walk in here. I finally revived myself and there's this old guy sitting in my seat, Like I get like, I get like I'm supposed to be the old guy on the show. I'm just sitting there like this is like a ridiculous I was supposed to be the old
guy on the show, am I not? So? Now that this guy comes what old guy listens to Taylor Swift. Not you don't. That's a mistake. That is where I listen to. That's probably all right. Well, we're not gonna sit gender roles here. Let me ask you, Scot. Let me ask you this, Scott, would you prefer to listen to the Dave Matthews Man or Metallica? I have nothing again, Stave Matthews should be prefaced that, but I much rather listen to the metall No, Scott, stay as long as
you want. I'm gonna bena. I'm gonna be I feel like I'm in between like my parents. You're like, no, stay, Scott, stay, don't leave Dre there because mom listens to Taylor. Well, he has two dads, you know. Treat to be idea with Greg because it's been too long. It's been quite a while, man, I don't. I don't know if you've heard or listen to this yet, Scott. I don't know if you've heard listen to this yet, Bovona if you have that clip ready, guys, we're gonna talk about this
game in a second. But you know, I'm very very I'm very excited about Hunter Henry tonight. I think Hunter Henry is gonna have a huge game for the for the Los Angeles Chargers some things. I'll keeping my eyes. I'm keeping my eyes on this matchup right here. I'm sorry, wears out. I'm sorry, absolutely he is out. But I'm thinking, I'm Thinken Patrick behold. I'm also looking at the San Diego charges on offense, and I'm thinking about hunts Henry
and the way that he's playing. He's been. He's going up against Derrick Johnson, and I got to keep my eyes on that because I'm looking at it from the standpoint his way on at with all of this, that's good enough. That was earlier today, and Stephen A. Smith is getting roasted on Twitter. He's already kind of like responded to it and saying like he's got like a million things going on, so it's hard for him to
prep for the show. But he he likes Hunter Henry Tonight Scott for the San Diego Chargers who are traveling to Kansas seat Tonight to face the Chiefs. What do you think about Hunter Henry? I almost feel guilty about roast and Steven A. Smith. Him and I just went to the same high school. But you know, you gotta you gotta getta do better. Than that. If this this was an NBA player, Stephen would would have not gotten it wrong. And uh, you know, Hunter Henry has been
out all season. You know. Look, I like Steven A. Smith, you know him, and I say all of the matter. But to me, Steven's a basketball all guy who just knows about the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees. Outside of the NBA guys. This gets worse for Stephen A. Smith. Derek Johnson doesn't even play for the Chiefs Anymoyeah. Derick Johnson has not played a single snap for the Kansas City Chiefs this year. Scott's talking about his mad franchise
or something. I don't know. At first, I thought it was a clip from last year and he's talking about San Diego and he didn't even know they moved. It's crazy, Greg, I love Hunter Henry dynasty leagues for next year. What do you think? What do you think about that clip? What do you think about So? I'm not going to defend Stephen A. Smith. He makes lots of money. He probably should know who's on the teams that are playing like I do. Probably as a researchers consisted too. Several secondaries,
secretaries assistant. You know, I get killed when I get miniscule things wrong on this program, as I should write broadcaster. Sure, but ultimately it's ridiculous. You cannot get that wrong. You cannot get that wrong. But in regards to tonight's game, off to the Charges of the Chiefs. Right, this, this is what we've been waiting for all year. Right, your team versus Mica Scott. Right, you should know that before the season started, we both picked the Rams and go
to the super Bowl. Before the season started. Admittedly I had him against the Chiefs. Frank had him against the Chargers. Swear to god, we have audio recordings of this. Tonight our two teams do battle in Kansas City. The Chargers have not beaten Kansas City in like seven years in jan It's ridiculous, you know. And the wonderful thing about this is is that it kicks off fantasy football playoffs,
set up semi finals. And I always say, like you look at Derrick Henry last week, people overreacted and thought they lost her one day game. I said, one player in one game doesn't make a difference. You had a Mari Cooper on Sunday that match, Derrick Henry, if that happen against Didn't that happen for you once where you put up like the game with Peyton Manning had like seven touchdowns and beat you. Yeah, And then we also had that was like that was like one of the
few times that he got lucky. But it happened to be a Dave Martinez this this year he had fifty points from Roethlisberger for me on Thursday night. I end it upbeating them. But the thing about this game is, though, is you could have seven, eight guys you know, going on both sides total. So this will give you a better map of where you may be headed into Sunday. Whereas I always tell people one player, one game doesn't decide anything, there could be a lot more context given tonight.
And what a way to kick off Week fifty, the semifinals of your fantasy football playoffs when you gotta have this many guys going on both sides. And you'll notice I haven't referenced any of the injured players that we haven't talked about them at length because it's coming up next. We have doctor, we have inside injuries, so we'll get more from the good Doctor after the break to find out about Melvin Gordon and you know, Spencer, we're not expected to go what the effectiveness will be of Damian
Williams just me personally, and this is a speculation. I would not expect Melvin Gordon to play tonight. I think he is a bigger key to them for a playoff runt, a deep playoff run. I think they need him to be completely healthy for that. Scott, and if he's out, Justin Jackson is inside my top twelve. He's an RB one. Let me go the other way, Frank, because I I agree Justin Jackson's awesome, and Judy is starting him tonight over mark Ingram on Monday night. As Melvin Gordon doesn't play.
It's the other side that I think is more interesting because I agree, no Austin Natla, no Melvin Gordon against the Kansas City defense that I was the second most fantasy points to opposing running backs all season long. Justin Jackson's and must start. I agree Justin sides. On the other way, we already going into question Mark dr Ay and said injuries or tweeting about that earlier. We'll hear
from them in about a minute. But with Spencer, where let's just say beaning out he's doubtful right being out, Everyone's asking where does Damian Williams fall? Where does Damian Williams fall? Who do you bench for Damian Williams? At what point do you put him in your lineup? And then you're hearing port uh, you're frank. You were tweeting about this yesterday, You're like, I can't wait till Damian Williams scores. But it's not really him. It is Darryl Williams. Like,
there's another d Williams. Like is that going to be a guy that people should know about going into tonight that they should be starting Like, would it shock you of all of a sudden that guy scores a touchdown? No, it wouldn't surprise me one bit. And I tweeted about this yesterday. A lot of you were asking, well, what's the usage gonna be between Damian Williams and the rest of the chiefs backs? We don't know, just me personally,
I think he plays around fifty of the snaps. But Andy Reid has said he wants us to be a running back by committee, So I wouldn't be surprised if Darryl Williams and Charke Hendrick West are involved as well, Scott. That's why we've exiled him there this desperate year. I'm Fancy Best FRISP forever. It's only for those who like to dance. Those elected party the King Scott Angle is one of those people. I
am Frank stamp Well. I mentioned Greg Susen also joining the program. Have it have you Greg? Pleasure to be first time time the first time long time? And with that we've talked about it all show. I don't know that there's been a bigger week in terms of questionable players, in terms of we don't know what's going on right now. A Thursday night game between the Chiefs and the Chargers, that it just involves a massive amount of fantasy um potential tonight and with that I will bring in dr
a of Inside Injuries. Doc, what's going on, man, I'm good, I'm good. I just I just pictured Scott at a rave, just kind of picked it was it was. It was been lightening. It was a very enlightening picture of Scott lightning Seattle. Like two weeks ago they had a seventies disco night. I was like, I closed that place seventies disco fire. Yeah, Doc, we have a lot we gotta get to. So as much as I love talking about the King and dancing and seventies night, let's start it
off with Melvin Gordon tonight. I saw the tweets from Inside Injuries as well, and I agree wholeheartedly. I don't think that Melvin Gordon should go tonight. We know that they're going to test him out before the game to see if he could play. They need this guy for the playoff run. So I'll pose two questions to you. Do you expect Melvin Gordon to play tonight? And if
he does play, how effective will he be? Because I've seen a number of people tweeting that even if he plays, he's not even close to We're talking like sixties seventy here at best. So you know, a lot of people are asking us, you know, if Melvin Gordon plays, do we have to have him in your lineups? Let's say you dr uh no, Let's you know, uh, this is classic. This is what we call the decoy alert. I mean, he's not I mean, if he does play, I think
it's a very very poor decision on the Chargers. I mean, they're not playing for the fantasy playoffs, They're playing for the real playoffs, and they really really need to rest this guy. We've always said that week sixteen is the time that he needs to come back. If he does
come back, now, it's it's too early. I mean, look, at the end of the day's overall injury risk is gonna be high because just of everything that he's to sustain this year, and it's sort of like having an impact on him towards the end of the season, and so um, you know, if he does play, he's not going to really generate a ton of fantasy points some and so this is definitely a week not to start or used Melvin Gordon. Yeah, Melvin Gordon fantasy owners just
in this conundrum. Like I talked to Melvin Gordon owner UM this morning and they basically said to me, I don't even want him to be active because if he's limited on snaps or he re injures himself, fantasy owners get crushed, right, they get absolutely crushed by that. So he's like, I'd rather just leave on the bench. And this poor guy Owen spencer wear. We'll get through in him in just a second. When spencer Wear own, Melvin Gordon own Austin Ekeler, when you have to ask what Eily,
we know the deal he's out. Um, But the fact is it's a question if not only can he play, but will he play the entire game? And at that point he's just like, let me start justin Jackson and hope for the best of I mentioned spencer Ware, Yeah, doc continue Yeah no. So one of the things that if to tell everybody on on our metrics is that when we predict when we have an health an htr of let's say the next week, and there's all this
question about you know, them playing one week earlier. Um, that for us, when we look back and look at all the data, that has been a classic decoy alert that we tell everyone in the fantasy world is that the guy if he if like like I said. If he's out, it's easy for everybody. If he's gonna play, he's not going to rack up fantasy points. I mean, he could be out there just as a decoy. So this is our classic decoy alert. This is what we're
calling it right now, classic decoil alert. That is the deal with Melvin Gordon tonight, let me go to the other side. I mentioned Spencer Ware, he's doubtful. What is his injury doc? And we knew he We know he played through in the second half. Adrenaline was kicking. Um, we know he played through it in the second half on Sunday, Quick turnaround No One Thursday. What's going on, spencer Ware. Yeah, it's a Grade one hamstring injury. So, um, it's not obviously torn, but there is a mild strain
of the hamstring. Um, that's why, I mean they were very like hamstrings and wide receivers didn't practice all week. That's a good sign. However, Um, we still have him at week sixteen. I mean, Spencer where you know the full thickness pcl Tare last year missed all of US two thousand seventeen season and his player nucleus has a whole bunch of other injuries, etcetera. All it took was this grade one hamstring injury to knock our expectations down from a metric standpoint. I mean, guys, he's at on
our books right now. Um, if he starts, there's no we can't foresee him really really, um, you know playing He's doubtful for Thursday night and it's a short week. Next week, the best he'll get is creeping into above average charactor. He is not going to be at peak heel for the rest of the season, so that's something to consider. But for certainly this week, you know, he's it's good that he's going to be out because he needs a full two weeks to get over this injury.
We have an article up on rotal Experts dot com right now from you Got is about Tyreek Hill comprehensively detailed the injury. He is going to play tonight, and uh, you know that's important for fantasy owners. And the chief said, you guys break down exactly what it affects and what it does it effect. Yeah, heel injury. It's a Grade one,
which is classic grade one plantar fasciitis. Um. You know, wide receivers, a lot of guys do a lot of forward and backward running, and you know, they have these types of injuries on the football field and so it's not torn, you know, but this is a it's not a debilitating injury, but it's a nagging injury. So that's why you're seeing him after a long run he kind of, you know, kind of you know, sort of tentatively lifts
up that heel, etcetera. Because he does feel it at the end of certain long runs, and so they can manage it with pain management, etcetera. But here's the problem. As the intensity gets going, you know, later on in the season, that grade one can easily become a grade two. That's why I we strongly believe that he needs one more week of rest, uh in terms of this type of particular injury, and then he will be good to
go from an injury prevention standpoint through the playoffs. But if he plays, and it looks like he will be, you know, he's a injury risk right now. And at fifty when he gets to UM I believe they play on Sunday, So when he yeah, when he gets to Sunday, you know, he should be back up to above average. But I mean, he's not going to be anywhere near peak health this week. Last week though, we saw like lived through that injury catch a forty eight yard touchdown
reception that was very key in winning that game. And you guys also lay out and it's not gonna affect his running. It's not gonna affect his cutting because it's not that type of arch injury or toe injury. But you know it will affect it what he lands or tries to decelerate. Correct that's exactly right after a long run, um, And that's it's not just it affects him with pain.
If there's a little tweak, a little here and there with a different type of motion, you know, there is a chance, if it's not completely healed and it's been pumped with a bunch of pain medication, that he could injure it and not know about it because of that pain medication. And so that's the fear, is that he has a good game, he comes off and then lo and behold, he's on the injury report. Uh that he has a great to heal injury. Now he's out for
the rest of the regular season. You know what I mean. It's just, you know, these are the types of injuries that you have to worry about when it comes to plant our fascia as I just want to put a bow on this game. We mentioned Damian Williams and Spencer wear so for everyone listening and watching at home, me personally, I have Damian Williams as a mid range RB two and I think he's right behind those guys that you trust, uh,
you know Aaron Jones. I know it's a tough matchup against Chicago, but I trust Aaron Jones more right now, Lamar Miller playing very well. Good match up against the Jets. David Johnson, you gotta find out what's going on with him in terms of injury, uh and in Terrico And those are the players that have just ahead of Damian Williams. Scott. Do you think that's a fair ranking. I think it's fair. But I do have the head of Aaron Jones because
it's a good matchup. He's an explosive offense and as we sold last week, I think Davy Williams will be that goal line runner and receiver for the kids the City Chiefs, and they're going to be in that area much more offer and I think that the Packers, well, yeah, Damian Williams scored two touchdowns from inside the five last week, a one yard rush and a five yard receiving touchdown. Greg, are you in agreement here? Let's just put a bow
on this. Damian Williams midrange RB two with Spencer were out, so I think he is a midrage RB two. But I don't agree with Aaron Jones being behind Damian Williams. I'd rather start Aaron Jones this week. Damian Williams not somebody that is built to have the amount of carriage Aaron Jones is. I realized Jamal Williams wound up starting that game four Green Bay. I know the match up certainly not good for Green Bay this weekend either, but I just trust Aaron Jones ultimately to find the end zone.
Um when I don't trust Damian Williams do that. I know he scored two touchdowns this past week. He's not a big guy, He's not. I can just see Patrick Mahomes playing the well fifty times tonight and Damian Williams just not being the recipient of enough to make it work. I'd rather start Aaron Jones, who I just trust more than Damian Williams. Let's keep it moving here and Aaron and Aaron Jones, by the way, is on our board.
I just checked our app here. He is at nine peak health and he's at eight point three percent injury is low and peak, So it's a good pick in our mind. Absolutely there. I want to keep it moving. We gotta get to a couple other players here, Doc, and I gotta talk about my Jets. I gonna talk about my j E T S Jets. Jets, Jets playing on Saturday, and I think it's relevant right now for once. They're relevant for fancy because because Isaiah Crowell is dealing
with a foot injury. He was seen in a walking boot earlier on in the week. He hasn't practiced this week. I know Elijah McGuire has been limited in practice. But if Isaiah Crowell can't go, we just saw Elijah McGuire twenty touches up over eighty total yards and he scored a touchdown in that game, so I think he would garner some flex consideration if Isaiah Crowell can't go, Doc,
what do you have on Isaiah Rowell? Yeah? Now this is this isn't This is one of those debilitating type injuries, especially with the history of foot and ankle injuries that this guy has had. I mean, he's at thirty seven percent right now, and he's at an injury risk of thirty thirty. His HPF is almost equal to his injury risk.
So it's a very bad uh sort of he I mean, you know, in terms of his injury history, and this injury specifically will at least take him to weeks for you know, week sixteen before he actually gets uh somewhat close to recovery. So yes, Isaia Roel is not you know, we're the metrics for him look pretty poor for this week. We're talking to Dr A from Inside Injuries Doc. Last week we were asked all about the same guys. We were asked all about the same guys. What do we
do with with Spencer ware who wound up getting hurt? Right, what do we do with Justin Jackson now Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler both hurt? And what do we do about Jeff Wilson because Matt Brito was hurt. Marida return to practice yesterday's battling an ankle injury all season long, we all have the questions with do with Jeff Wilson. I want to be able to start him in my stifinal like going to get that opportunity. What's the deal with Matt Rida? Yeah, you gotta start him. This is um,
Matt Brita is nowhere near ready. UM. You know, even though he started practice, et cetera. The kind of ankle injury that he has um, you know, and because he had a he had this aggravation after the week thirteen game, you know, and put some sets him back all the way to week seventeen in our books, and so you know this is not you know, you you have the opportunity here Greg to start at Jeff Wilson because this
is not a UM. You know, this is a stay away for week fifteen and sixteen when we talk about Matt Breda according to inside Injuries from an injury person. Right there you go. So I get the opportunity to start here Jeff Wilson this week. And with that we want to sign off of YouTube for now. Fantasy Ball Frenzy comes your way next. Corey Parson, Jim Day and
Chris Ventura will have you covered there. We of course continue on for the next five minutes on the podcast, like subscribe, rate and give us a comment and if you're listen to live on the radio, we will talk to Dr Raby a whole bunch more players to get to. We'll talk to him for the next five minutes or so. Scotty. You know you had a question, of course about your favorite team. Yeah, Doug Ball wasn't able to play last week. Listed his day to day, miss practice yesterday. Uh, you
did catch a touchdown past two weeks ago. Well, get San Francisco and uh, you know is a short yard red zone target, but he's been bagged up all year. Uh, should we see him this week at all? If we can get at San Francisco past defense, you might be able to plug a bit um. You know, maybe in spots like that, Scott, But you know I would definitely keep him off the field for week fifteen. Week sixteen is when we have seen we we have him coming
back at optimal recovery time from this particular injury. However, you know, Uh, he's had most of them. He missed most of the preseason, if you guys remember, with a specific knee injury and an mcl S brain to the opposite knee. And now he's got a growing hip train. He has a history of growing injuries in the last couple of years as well, So you know, this is not looking good for Doug Baldwin finishing you know, the year unfortunately, and bad you know for us, it would
be bad news for the Seahawks. Um he's at right now. If he waits, uh and come back Week sixteen, he'll probably be at SEV which is as pie as he's probably gonna get, which is maybe maybe good enough for a lot of fantasy folks, but right now is And with that, I think Tyrel Lockett just sloss right back in as a wide receiver to again this week, Scott, just based on the matchup against the San Francisco forty Niners.
You mentioned that they've given up a lot of fantasy production to wide receivers this season, so I do think it's a favorable spot for Tyl Lockett, who scored a touchdown last time out against It was only catch at the game, but it was just a fifty two yard touchdown reception. Tyre Locket's touchdown depended a good way. He's having a career year. He's got that nine touchdown receptions and it's real easy to get to line up against
that forty defense just avoid the Richard Sherban's side. You can throw old Day against the other side and run on that side too. I know the names that I've kept bringing up this week to you. Frank's in Buffalo, and that's going on with their running game with the Shawn McCoy and Chris Ivory. Uh. We're all desperate, right, We're desperates the time of the year, certainly for running
back help and league winners. And while you don't necessarily don't necessarily want to start the Buffalo running back, if someone's gonna get a ton of carriers during the game, you will. Chris Ivy was great when Lashaw McCoy last missed an outing. But we don't know what Ivory's health is either. Doc. What's going on with the Buffalo running game this week? Yeah, this is a can we finally
talk about some good news about a player. So Chris Ivory Uh is looking good, I mean from an injury perspective, how he's healing you know. Um, you know, he full practice on Wednesday, which is a great sign um his injury. He's right at peak health right now. He's at which is peak health in our in our books, and he's at elevated injuries, but he will be by game time that thirteen percent will drop down below ten percent, and you know he'll be right at low end and peak,
and so he's recovered. They you know, they've you know a week fifteen is when we slated for him to come back. So yeah, if you if if you have to choose between these two and they were both ready to play, I would definitely take Chris Ivy over la Shawn McCoy. Well, Shaw McCoy is not scheduled be back in our books until week sixteen. He's at thirty nine percent and he's not going to be anywhere close to above average, you know, for the rest of the season.
You know, our opinion from an injury perspective on Lashawn McCoy, especially now with this Grade one hamstring injury. Last two seasons, he's had multiple injuries, a growing ankle, knee, wrist, head, rib injuries, and so Chris Ivy is your guy. I'd be surprised if Lashawn McCoy suits up this week. Guys, And I'll just throw this out there. The last ti time he missed the game was in Week three. In that game, Chris Ivory had a hundred and twenty six
scrimmage yards, three touches, and played of the snaps. So again, we're all desperate this time of year. But if Chris Ivory is the workhorse back and Saw McCoy is out, I think he's another running back that just kind of slots into that flex discussion. Yesterday, Doc, we got some kind of breaking news about about Carson Wentz and I just want to I just want to ask you about him real quick. We only have about one minute left here on the show. He popped up, I went for
an m r I, which was inconclusive. I'd be surprised if he plays this week. I don't know if he plays again the season. It obviously affects the pass catchers. What are we expecting from Carson? Before we asked answer that, it just came out that he's a small fracture in his back, which they don't need surgery. He doesn't need surgery, but it's very weird's going on in Philadelphia. So we'd
love to hear what use that like used to have? Well? Well, great, yeah, well no, he had a turn Roman had a transverse process fracture. Uh. And we don't know exactly where the fracture is right now with Carson Wentz, it could be a transverse process fracture that that would be good news that it's not like an actual vertebra fracture. UM. But regardless, we had him at a great two back injury, which is three levels above a really minor tweak. So it's kind of in line with UM, you know what that is,
and so we don't we did. We don't see him basically if they make the playoffs, we see him his HTR right now for US as January the fifth, and so you know, we don't really even have him close to coming back anytime soon, so that kind of coincides. All I have to say is Nick Foles make full Super Bowl winning Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles. That would be Greggy Doc. I want to thank you so much for joining the Fantasy best Friends forever today. One more thing,
Carrie on Johnson. Carrie on Johnson. Everyone will carry on Johnson this week too. All right, there you go, dr a of Inside injuries.
