9/25: Most Added or dropped, Buy or Sell? AUSTIN EKELER?

He's Frank Standfle He's an BFF, Eric Young, I am Greg Susman, Frankie. What's going on, buddy Greggy? Happy hump day to you here on a Wednesday. Lots to talk about most added, most drop players in fantasy football. We had FAB run in a few of our home leagues and in a work league that we played together, so we could talk about all the FAB percentages from

last night. A lot of trade questions coming in. I think this is the time of year right where you're three weeks in, you're either riding high because you're three and oh or you're on the other end of that spectrum and you feel like you have to make a move. So we're getting a lot of trade questions right now. We'll try to get to all of those as well. Absolutely, it's that time of year. We're he you're owing three

or three now, you think you think a shot. Some major injuries have happened, some holdouts maybe coming to an end. So a lot of transitioning right now during fantasy football season, which makes for a lot of smell, makes for potentially a lot of trades. E y, what's happening. So it's a beautiful day in Tennessee, guys, it's still summer here. I know it's fall probably where you guys are going, but I mean, uh, I'm still in shorts. It's uh.

I think it's gonna be almost ninety degrees today, beautiful day. Fantasy sports are the best. I'm gearing up for hockey stuff too, So not a lot of sleep. If you can't tell by the bags underneath my eyes, it's hockey season. It's football season. You guys got a lot going on, and we all knew. We're all trying to make our

teams better. Let's start out with the top news of the day before we get into the waiver wire, and that is what you heard news up there just a few moments ago that Melvin Gordon may be reporting to the Chargers sooner rather than later. The room from the Cleveland Playing Dealers said he grew report to Los Angeles as soon as tomorrow. If that's the case, you will not play this Sunday. Well once it gonna be Austin

Ekeler show. Brad Evans of Yahoo was said, Hey, he's my number one overall running back this week, but after that it's anyone's game. You are if you're an Austin Ekeler owner, what do you do? I think you gotta kind of like hold on. Look, Melvin Gordon hasn't been with the team. Um, he knows the system and stuff, but he's not going to be football ready as soon as he comes back. No matter what. With Austin Ekeler, I believe he has a role on this team no

matter if Gordon is there or not. Obviously his role will be greatly diminished if if Melvin Gordon is back in the starter. But I think that's probably take a week or two or maybe even possibly more than that. Eckler has earned playing time. I think we've seen Justin Jackson the uh, the guests that I said that would be more of a split. It seems like it's going more and more that way. Justin Jackson is getting more

playing time, more carries. UH has looked like the better running back while carrying the ball uh than Austin Ackler. So it's it's a weird time. But I mean, look at if you drafted Ackler and you drafted Jackson or you drafted Gordon, you knew this time was coming. Uh. So yeah, just hold Titan and UH and see what goes on. Frank, the same question yours to you. People have rode Austin Ekeler to the early season victories. He's been fantastic both in the running game any the passing game.

This week, he's a popular, popular play, and he'll remained that because we don't think Melvin Gordon will be able to play this week no matter what happens. But obviously you love to trade him. You're not being able to do that because everybody is seeing that Melvin Gordon is coming back. What do you do? Yeah, this is a tough situation to figure out right now. Much like we have oftentimes with you know, players involved in holdouts or

you know, potential suspensions. We always have to try try and work our way through these situations, especially throughout draft season. But now this is one that's happening in season. I will say this Greg. The report that we got from the Cleveland playing dealer. The gentleman who reported that had followers on Twitter, but then Schefter followed up, so you know, where they're smoked, there's fire. So I you know, I don't know that it's definitely going to happen yet, but

obviously there's a lot regarding this situation right now. Look, I think if you can still sell Austin Ekeler for a low n RB one a high n RB two, obviously that's something I would look into doing. But how realistic is that. I just pulled up Yahoo their trade market where you can see kind of the trades that are going down for a specific player, and I see a lot of Austin Ekeler for Levan Bell, Austin Ekeler

for Odell Beckham, Austin Ekeler for Derrick Henry. So if you can pull off a trade like that, it's something that I would look into, because we do know at some point Melvin Gordon is going to be back. He needs to play at least half the season to have this count as an accrude season for him to hit

unrestricted free agency. So for him to do that, he has to play at least eight games this year, And obviously the longer he sits out, he's actually hurting his value because Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson are basically doing as much as Melvin Gordon would do or even more so, he's hurting his value. And I think he's starting to realize that. So he should be back soon. Even if he returns Thursday this week, he's not gonna be ready to suit up in Week four, which means maybe the

earliest we see him his Week five. And as e I mentioned, he's not gonna be just thrust into a fifteen to twenty touch role right away. The worst thing that happens if you can't get a trade for Austin Nickler. He's still a good flex play. He finished with the top thirty running back last year in PPR leagues. Right now, I understand this matchup against Miami Dolphins is really tasty

and you want that on your team. But you can actually use that as ammo to try and trade him right now for a low and RB one or high end RB two. I just don't know how realistic it is. Greg, So that's where I want to give to you. What can you possibly trade him for right now? You're not gonna be able to get that, Like I mentioned, you're getting Levy on Bell. I see a lot of trades just for Levi on Bell's trade up right now if you could get it. Never sure, never happening. I mean

it's happening in someone's league. I don't care. It's not happening for Derrick Henry. It's happening. They don't play with professionals that I mean, people don't even know that Lovin Gordon's coming back and it's happening everywhere. We play with all people that know everything. It's impossible to make trades like this for people that are listening to the show and watching the show and reading stuff. They don't. They don't, they don't know. You know, they're playing in leagues where

people pick people their team by the guy's pictures. So I mean, like, look, I mean, if you're in a league like that and you take this serious, then you should probably be in a different league. But the reality is is I'm in probably two or three leagues like where if I had Heckler, I would be like crazy trying to trade him and trade him for somebody of equal value or or higher value because Melvin Gordon's on his way back but hasn't made it back yet. Yeah.

Wise right, you know you'd be surprised, Greg, some of the trades that go down in these leagues. People just don't pay attention. I agree that, you know, in more competitive leagues and leagues that we play and things like this aren't going to happen. What's happening for us. We'll talk about a few, you know, by low cell high candidates later on. Maybe some running backs so you can

target for an Austin Ekeler. But again, look, if you can get a low one RB one, I would consider Levon Bell in that range or h N R B two maybe like a Derrick Henry. You try and do it. Fantasy sports today, Dalvin Cook would be by running back to Do you have any disagreement with that? No, but I would still take Ezekiel Elliott over Dalvin Cook, especially with Cook's injury history. But right now, in terms of performance and three full games, you have to go with Cook by hair your opinions, you'd rather seek the rest of the way that we're talking rest of the way that will take Dalvin Cook and knock them down. PEG out of RB two and I'll be happy to have

Another break, Frank and I were, howd I going over some lost an ecotential ideas and we're running backs and wide receivers from James Conner. We threw out there. I see that trade went down on Yahoo as well. Straight up one for one makes sense. I threw out d J Moore the wide receiver, and Frank thought about that one of a

really long time. UM, but that's kind of where our our heads are at at the moment. Who who did I throw out? They said, the hell knows, Yeah, Sterling Shepherd. I just feel like you would be able to get more than Sterling Shepherd. It's it's about to get crowded. Their golden tape coming back. You talk about him, he's one of the most added players on Yahoo. Now is the time to add him if he's available. Because he suspended the first four games, he'll be back not this

week but for next week and week five. And I think that his skill set actually matches what Daniel Jones can do pretty well. I think Daniel Jones good at the short to intermediate routes. Greg not not known for

a big arm throwing the ball down the field. Everyone wanted, you know, Dave Gettleman's head after the NFL draft, But if you look at what he did in terms of drafting Daniel Jones and the talent that he surrounded him with, he surrounded him with players that work in that area of the field and can make plays after the catch. So maybe there's a method to the madness. Would you do it for? Darren Waller? Austin Ekeler for Darren Waller. You know, if I'm if I'm desperate for a tight end,

probably yeah. I'd imagine like, if you're making this trade, it's because you need a tight end. I think Darren Waller is probably a top five or six tight end rest of season. Eler owner my tight ends, Will Disley and my desperate ends that end. No, I don't think so. I think yeah. I think dis Lee's probably a top twelve tight end as of now rest of season. Okay, just asking it was interesting. No, it's a it's a

fair question. All right. All the waiver y, you knew Sae Kwon Barkley was gone, which means Wayne Goldman is gonna be one of the top players added. How much did he go for a new league? Frank, Yeah, so in two different leagues I saw him go for fifty three percent. That's in the pit league that we play in together. All three of us in this on the show are in that draft. And that was to Davis Maddock actually of Rooto experts. He went zero RB so he has a ton of stacked wide receivers. He needs

running back help. Ended up spending fifty three percent of his fat budget on Wayne Goldman, much to the chagrin of the closer Chris Ventra, because uh venture was the sake Kwon Barkley owner, and he had forty four dollars on Wayne Gallman. But he goes for fifty three and then in my home league goes for thirty four percent of our fat budget. Sorry, Poppy, shout out to the down. He didn't end up getting Wayne Goldman, so he's riding with Peyton Barber as his RB two. Greg is what

it is, my man. I'm just saying, these ownership percent these fat percentages a little bit higher than what you wanted to spend. Greg. Yeah, thank you think you're at eight even? I was low. You said eight to ten. I said, you know, seventeen and twenty. Maybe a little bit over twenty if you're if you're desperate. But man thirty four and fifty three asked me how much Dash paid for him, Dash Wildler in the uh the n x T League. What was Dash wild Barkley owner? Oh geez,

I don't think so. I'd have to look. Oh, yeah, we had Dash on the show last year. You got to paid each other. You had a little smack talk here in bfs. He was in the plow, he knew what he was doing. But how much did he pay for Wayne Gollman? Here? He is not he is not the Barkley owner. He paid a hundred and thirty five dollars and two fifty year league right, yeah, under two that's that's over your budget. It's around games. I mean, it's that's crazy. Yeah, I mean people are really getting

crazy with this. Look, you don't know what's going to happen. Maybe we're just being injury optimists when it comes to ste bark Like, who do you don't know if he's going to be when he comes back? Hold on, y inc Who did we kill again for picking up Daniel Jones? Oh? I I picked him up and then traded him to Cutler Camarrow and now and now color looks like a fantasy genius. Yeah, colors running around here, love and life. Yeah,

he's got the future Hall of Famer. Danny Dimes worked out for me this week as well, So I of that trade. What a trade? Yeah? I think Cutler was the best trades right where it works out for Camorrow for Daniel Jones one quarterback? Right? Um? All right? Anyways, Wayne Goldman went for an absolute ton of money. Why did you get Goldman anywhere I did? I got him in a couple of places I got him. The only place that I got him is was where it was

a waiver priority, and I had Uh. I had top waiver priority, which end up being really lucky for me because I have say Kwan Barkley. So I kind of covered myself for a couple of weeks there. I have pretty good running back debt, but I wanted Goldman just just in case. In a weird turn of events, actually I forgot I had done this. Um in the scott Fish Bowl, I picked up Goldman last week. I just

was kind of like boasting my running back depth. I don't have a lot of running back, so I went in and got rid of some guys that weren't really doing that. This is I mean, you guys know the scott Fish Bowl. It's huge rosters. Uh and there's no injury uh, I our spots or trading or anything like that. So I picked up Godman last week and uh and then say, when Barkley goes down, so uh, my fantasy spiky senses were tingling that day, and I picked him up and I got ahead of everybody. So that's all

very nice. Three. How good year? You know that was the team you probably liked the least going into the season in a super flex league and you put up like two thirty points last week every week. Yeah, that's how fantasy works, right, and that's you know we hated that. We know we hated the motion. Yeah, well we took it tight end in a QB in the first three rounds. We said, yeah, what are we doing? What a rookie mistake.

That's particularly not time to panic. You could be oh and three and to win your championship just taking breath. So I'm glad you say that because last year I was owing three in this league. I panicked, like I my and I write Patty, but teams sucked. But this year, like I look at my team that's owing three again, and I'm like, this team is good. Like I like this team. I believe in this team. As soon as I can get Tyrreek Hill back, I'm gonna read the team to you guys. You know I'm not just making

about me, but there you go. It's a great Sussman show. Let's go as always. My quarterback this week, Jared Goff okay one quarterback league. That's fine. What's wrong with that? Wide receivers are Julian Edelman who practiced today. Looks like he's gonna play Tyree Hills coming back, but I have to Marcus Robinson. All right? Those are your top two wide receivers, Julianemans and a wide receiver two. All right? What's wrong with reo? Know? He's fine? Rights Tyree Hills?

Why was your one? All right? Go ahead? I mean the same thing happened to me and flex Julian Edelman is now my wide receiver one. My running backs are Zekiel Elliott, Nick Chubb and Austin Ekeler. Those are very good. All top five running backs this week? Are you? My tight end is Will Disley, as I said before the matchup, and my other flex is MVS love it. You should get your first win, I hope. So, I hope you

have projected to lose. I'm sorry here, Like you read that team to anybody, and I think most people would say, I mean, that's a that's a at very least a two and one team and you and you haven't won a game yet. I mean, fantasy sports is it's insane. Um, I'm I have a team like very similar to that at the CBS telethon. Uh did that the telethon with m ranged a pile of money for St. Jude. Uh, it was a really really cool event. Uh. And my team's unbelievable. And I'm I'm oh and three I haven't

even come close. But I've played like the top point getter last week, which was not Adafino. I hate your guts. Uh, yeah, but it's Uh. I mean I played the person with the most the person of the third of the person with the fourth most points. So I've lost all three weeks. But my team is good. I mean, I really good team. So I'm not worried about it. Yeah, don't give up, everybody. We've got time. It's a long season, man, we do. Most regular seasons go thirteen fourteen weeks long. It's only

week four. Other bids this week that were that we were certainly looking at going into today. Uh, Darryl Williams, how much were you guys? You know narrow Williams. We we obviously still don't have Wordlishaw McCoy. Today's Wednesday's they are going to practice. We'll get Stami Williams in practice. And I know that I haven't seen McCoy yet, but I assume it's out. If there's news about Tamy william I'm gonna I'm gonna look, how do you get did you you? I get Darren Daryl Williams anywhere? I got

him one place? Uh, which is cool for this week. I don't think like past this week or anything. But look, I mean, Damian Williams has never been able to stay healthy. That was the biggest concern in the fantasy world of him being the number one. He's obviously not the number one. That job goes to McCoy. McCoy has always had, especially now at a later age, staying healthy if both of those guys are banged up or a point where they're not playing. Uh. And they showed us that Darry Williams

is going to be the guy. Everyone thought it was gonna be Deonte Thompson, including myself, and we were all wrong. So uh, I think Thompson is going to see the field at some point, um, especially if McCoy and Williams are banged up. UM an excellent pass catcher, super super fast, and we saw what speed can do in this offense. I mean, if you're quick, Uh, Andy Reid will scheme you open and you will score touchdowns. Yeah. I didn't end up with Darryl Williams anywhere myself, Gregg. He went

for of our fab in my home league. He also did go to the same owner that owns Leshawn McCoy, so I wanted to get both Chief's running backs there. Obviously, Damian Williams is going to be a thing when he gets healthy. But I just looked it up as well, Damian Williams did not practice. There's no news on with Shawn McCoy, so I assume if they're reporting Damian Williams didn't practice and there's nothing on McCoy, and McCoy's probably

out there, but it's something to pay attention to. Yeah, well we should get that obviously, very coming, very very soon. We'll come back. I want to go over the players that were dropped because I think that's really interesting. We talked about a lot of the layers we're gonna add you today. I think people see me coming back from break and we had the whitech on him type it away. Answering questions, you can you talk about looking yeah, okay, so we're very similar. Yeah. Anywise, like, what is this thing that you're talking about. I don't understand. What's the keyboard? I got these babies. That's awesome, all right, Well,

good thing. You only need like two of these things do drop players? And that's where it gets you. Now, and look at the most dropped players in this week. I think it's really interesting because let's start with the Niners. They have a bye. Jets also, so two of the names that you're gonna see on this list are he most are knowing that Tivin Coleman's expected to come back. Jamison Crowder is being dropped in places knowing that they have a bye this week. You can't use him. Does

this makes sense? Steve Frankie holding one of these guys the he most thing is probably the most interesting because he's performed really well. I mean outside of the fumble last week, but he's been really explosive. He you know, he doesn't touch the ball all that much on a per game basis, but he's been really explosive every time we've seen him touch the ball. And as I've said about Kyle Shanahan over and over again, you want running backs in this offense. He just knows how to get

the most out of every single player. So it's it's a tough situation because there's gonna be four running backs. I think Tevin Coleman is actually gonna be back coming out of the by, so we're gonna be looking at Tevin Coleman. Jeff Wilson has potentially the goal line back Matt Brita, who it's probably the most useless touches out of all of him because it seems like he only gets used between the twenties, although he's really explosive as well.

Four running backs situation here, I think I'm alright dropping her. He mostred as good as he's been. What do you think, Raig? Yeah, So it's interesting because Jeff Wilson seems to be the one that's going to be inactive and Jim Harbell kind of work. Sorry, Jim Harbell forward coach of the Niners. Kyle Shanahan, I don't have alluded to it last night or a beat reporter broke I saw them ask him about this. It's a good problem to have, I'm gonna

have to figure out. But he didn't actually say that Jeff Wilson was going to be in active somebody else. Maybe he was a beat reporter that's speculated him last night. It's like Jeff Wilson is gonna be an active I think that the reason that he's inactive is because Tevin Coleman's gonna take over that goal line role and maybe he's not gonna be ready for as many snaps as we want. But depending on what are you like, Well, I dropped most of her Wayne Goldman, sure when I

dropped most of her Darryl Williams. If I'm playing Darryl Williams this week, okay, I'd probably do that regardless because you're talking about one of four running backs in versus one of three. Because it's like Darwin Thompson is not gonna get much run on the best offensive football. So I'd probably make that move regardless. I would do it for Ronald Jones too. I would do with Ronald James

as well. I guess there for all these guys. Yeah, but once you get anything lower than that, like if you're in a deeper league, c J procise names like that, you know, I'd rather just hold most at that point. You know what I'm thinking. Tevin Coleman comes in and actually takes most it's role. I don't know that he's gonna take Jeff Wilson's. I think he will. I think Jeff Wilson has sure, but because every time they use

him in the red zone he scores touchdown. Sure, when he pays Tevin Coleman that much money, he's probably gonna have. Coleman has never been a goal line guy though, like not ever. Jeff Wilson has already proven that. I mean, you give him, you give him carries from the goal line, he's going to score. Tevin Coleman, I mean just by test for me, Like he just runs two upright. Yeah, he's fast, but I mean he's just not a goal line runner. He runs like he's standing straight up and

he's just not going to score. Yeah, that's why I think he might actually take mostarts roll away. You know, Matt Breed is not going anywhere, and it's unfortunate because mostars performed well. He's averaging five point nine yards per carry. He hasn't done anything to lose his job. It's just it's a numbers game here, yep. Fantasy nightmare. You start any of the four at your flex position and score

ten points. to be able to score touchdowns. Kamara is unbelievable. I mean watching him carry the ball, He's his balance, his vision, he he is just absolutely mind boggling. But the reality is is he is slight. He is not a big human being and carrying the ball this much, to me, he's going to get hurt. It's not uh if it's when and when he is. Latavia's Murray will be the starting running back for the New Orleans Saints. The quarterback isn't Drew Breese anymore. These guys are going to be

Todd Gurley has four receptions for eight yards through the first three games

of the season. He does not look like himself. So we've talked about that all offseason, probably too much at this point, but it's worth mentioning. Look, it's one of the best offenses in football. They're going to put their running backs in a good position at least to score touchdowns. If anything happens to Gurly, you have a high nd RB two and Malcolm Brown. Do not drop this guy. To Another interesting name here, Greg, I think kind of

similar to Tavia's Murray Duke Johnson. Yeah, you're drafting Duke Johnson in the fifth six rounds of PPR leagues and he's barely being used. What do you have last week five touches? And what annoyed me the most, Greg, is I think it's you know a lot of fantasy animsts like to say this, it's a process over results, Like, what was your thought process? I think my thought process

was actually correct. The Texans were playing from behind. It's set up for a game where Duke Johnson should have succeeded. We've seen the Chargers get shredded by pass catching running backs in the past. It's set up for Duke Johnson game. And they were trailing for a lot of that game, and they still didn't use him. So if you own Duke Johnson, Gregg, you're still holding on for. What's what am I dropping for? I guess you know the top three running backs we've been talking about. Yeah, I probably

dropped him. You would have dropped him for Goldman, Daryll Williams as well and Ronald Jones. How about you? Why you're trying to hold onto Duke Johnson. Still, it's very maddening. It is completely maddening. I mean, and he got traded. People were going nuts, Uh, Like I drafted him in

in the fifth round of two NFFC leagues. Yeah, I mean a lot of people were drafting him there that you know, in between the fourth and sixth round, because we believe like this, because a shot you always would hear stuff when he played in Cleveland about how look at that he wasn't just a pass catcher in college. He carried the ball a ton. He was super effective in college. Then he came in there, he became a

pass catcher. At one point was was regarded as maybe one of the best route running running backs in the league. And he's getting outplayed by Carlos Hyde. We're in the we're in the in between here, guys, we're in the bizarro land. Uh. But for me, Duke Johnson too good of a player on what I think is too good of an offense to get rid of him. Uh. I mean, what are you gonna I mean, I guess it depends

on what you're gonna get. And you know, if you're gonna get, if you need running back helping, you were gonna get Wayne Gallman or something like that, and you you have a bunch of other good bench players than Okay, but I mean, running back death doesn't exist. Uh, you just said it. Hold onto these guys, Hold on to the depth guys. I had Wayne Gallman. I didn't have to go get him or spend money because he was just sitting there on my bench. He's the second in

line injuries are going to happen. We're only three weeks in injuries are coming, Bye weeks are coming. You need running back depth on your bench. Do not drop running backs. And I think e Y put it correctly is that it's all about perspective. You know, what type of league do you play and how desperate are you to win right now? Do you need running back production? Because right now I don't think that we can depend on Duke Johnson for really anything from a fantasy perspective, But the

upside is still there. Now. It's frustrating because they have a lot of weapons there. They have Hopkins, they have Fuller, Kiki q T runs a lot of those routes closer to the line of scrimmage, and even he's now being outplayed by Kenny Still, So there's a lot of mouse of feed that used the tight ends last week. Greg Carlos Hide is still dominating touches. It's just crazy to me, like this team doesn't have a GM. They use a third round pick on Duke Johnson and they're not using him.

Like this is Bill O'Brien at its finest. Mom what is he doing? Be an idiot? He's he's gonna be one of the first first coaches fired after the season. We won't. Why wouldn't he He's got they have owned too much money. Well that's their problem, and and and without a GM two, it's what is going on with that franchise. It's up in flames right now. It's true, it's not gonna find himself. Let me go over some of the questions here that we've gotten throughout the week. Here.

Michael Maggie had a great question on Twitter, Frank Chris Carson or Melvin Gordon. There's a lot of moving parts with this question right now. I think if you were an Austin Ekeler owner, I would try to lock down both Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler. But just knowing what we know right now, I'm assuming this is just in a vacuum. When Melvin Gordon is back, he probably gets back into top ten running back territory. But when when are we gonna see him get a full workload of touches.

That's still probably two or three weeks away, assuming he returns this week. That's not even a guarantee. There's too many moving parts. I'd rather hold on to Chris Carson even with the fumbling issues, greg Is that's scared me. But Chris Carson obviously as as of now, a guaranteed role, Like, look, this is the NFL, and it's absolutely madness. I feel like one or two more fumbles, especially important ones, that's gonna be it. Like you can only be so loyal.

This is they're turning the ball over. This is a team that wants to control the ball, hold the ball, run the ball. And if you're starting running back is fumbling in a way and you're playing catch up at the end of every game. He's not gonna be there for long. But I think he probably would have got pulled faster last week if Penny was on the bench. He was hurt. I agree with you totally. What do you do if you were a shot Penny owner, you try to sell him right now at the carsinon and

say you're not you don't own both of them. Would you try to sell him right now at the carsinone and be like, hey, you don't want to get called Chris Corson benched? I would try to, But realistically, what are you gonna get? I mean, if you could get high end RB three value or like a low n RB two. Sure that's a no brain penny Lashawn McCoy, Um, yeah, I think I would do that. I know so McCoy

is dealing with the ankle injury. Obviously he's banged up a little bit older now, but it's look a running back in top offense in football, So I would want that. Would you traded for Frank Gore? No, I wouldn't do that. Yeah. Would you treat your s penny for Wayne Golman? I would m If you need to win now, I probably

would do that. But if you're three and o or two and one, I would hold onto a shot Penny because, like e Y said, I mean there's still a chance if Carson fumbles again or you know, it continues this lack of efficiency. He hasn't run well this year. His yards per carries under four yards per carry. Rashad Penny is severely outplaying him on a percharched basis right now.

If that continues, Rashad Penny is going to get more work on a team that, you know, while they want to run the football, they haven't been able to have. Their defense is so bad. They're still gonna be games where they've run the football a lot so there's some upside here for a shot Penny. I'll tell you what, Greg, I would do it for either Broncos running backs right now.

If I could Bill Lindsay and Royce Freeman, you're you rather have those both of those guys, dellither Lindsay definitely have Freeman red than Penny because we have a split than the backup situation. Yeah, and when it comes to Royce Freeman, you know, this was someone and we said this last year is why we were so excited about him. He caught the ball a lot when he was at Oregon and right now he's on pace for over fifty receptions.

Joe Flacco is throwing the ball to his running backs at a higher rate than any other quarterback in the league right now. So I like both Philip Lindsay and Royce Freeman moving forward. And you know, normally we don't talk about by high situations. Great, because Philip Lindsay is coming off the game where he had two touchdowns. If someone in your league is just trying to sell Philip Lindsay because oh, well, you know I don't trust this offense,

let me try to sell him. Now he's coming off a two touchdown game, I would actually be buying, Philip Lindsay, I think the value is going to be there. I think the schedule gets better for them, and the rate that Joe Flacco is passing these guys the football, I think that the PPR upside is there for both of these guys as well. I totally totally feeling, you know, Philip Lizzay. It's funny cause I watched the first quarter that how much longer on the quarterback though comes back?

I mean he's not come back for a while, and and Big Fangio came out. It was like, this guy's not even close there. Any Yeah, you've heard those reports before the season to look, if we get to a point where they're eliminated, you know, they're eliminated there out of it, there, three and ten, whatever it might be. Then yeah, the final couple of games of the season. But I think for a large majority of this year Joe Flacco was going to remain the starting quarterback. I

think it's a fair move all around. There's three for two trade. Ultimately, you know the team getting Julio Jones if you have running back death and you can afford to trade away carry On Johnson is still have a solid r B two. I would make this move. Julio Jones is the best player in the trade. D J Moore. You know when you asked me about d J Moore

during the break earlier, trading Austin Echo for him. D J Moore is one of the harder players for me to figure out right now, because I think he's really talented. I think as long as Kyle Allen can get the ball in d J Moore's hands and d J Moore can do what he does, which is make play is after the catch. We saw that last week where he took a you know, a crossing pattern to the house. As long as he can do that, d J Moore

is gonna be fine. But DJ Moore only had two targets last week, and it seemed like Kyler Allen relied on Greg Olsen a little bit more and Curtis Samuel and they ran the ball out with Christian McCaffrey. So d J. Moore is kind of one of these wild card players right now for me, which is kind of hard to figure out because there are a lot of things that are going on in Carolina right now. But ultimately I would still value him as a high end wide receiver three, which I think is similar value to

Christian Kirk. I agree with you, totally with you on that entire breakdown. The most common question that I've received this week, and I have a feeling both of you guys are the same. He's about Statewon Barkley. If you or an Owen three one in two State Kwon Barkley owner, you may have to trade them. If you're sitting there pretty at three and ow You're like, all right, I want to acquire se Kwon Barkley. What kind of deal

makes sense for both sides? And Eric, I'm gonna are with you if you're trading away, we're trying to trade four Barkley. This it's so hard to say, right because we don't really know how long he's going to be out. I would just for me with a high ankle spraining and says six to eight weeks. you might have to move this guy. I mean it sounds crazy. CBS league, I have se Kwan Barkley. Um, we don't have an I R spot. There's no way for me to move him. Um he's listed as out right now. I picked up Gallman, but having him sat on my bench and I'm owing free, maybe I try to move him. But the truth is is my team is so good I don't think I really need anything. That's that's the the honest truth. So you've got to assess your roster the rest of your league. Pay attention to your losses. I should have won all three of my games, and

I lost. But my team has been scoring. I've just been playing the team with slightly higher points uh scoring in the top three or four of the league each week. So going forward, I'm gonna probably hold on to Barkley. UM, I have to do some research. I don't know if there's an I R thing or not, but to me, you gotta hold him. If I may say, Kwan Barkley owner and I'm oh in three or one and two, I'd be trying to sell him for RB two value right now. For Aaron Jones, A Philip Lindsay, someone in

that range. I wanted to talk about potentially selling Aaron Jones today. Maybe we could get to that tomorrow. But someone in that range a Leonard four net, I carry on Johnson and R B two. Heckler has earned playing time. I think we've seen Justin Jackson the UH the guests that I said that would be more of. It seems like it's

going more and more that way. Justin Jackson is getting more playing time, more carries. UH has looked like the better running back while carrying the ball, uh than Austin Ekeler. So it's it's a weird time. But I mean, look at if you drafted Eckler and you drafted Jackson or you drafted Gordon, you knew this time was coming. Uh. So yeah, just hold Titan and uh and see what goes on. Frank, the same question yours to you. People

have rode Austin Ekeler to early season victories. He's been fantastic both in the running game in the passing game. This week he's a popular, popular play and he'll remained that because we don't think Melvin Gordon will be able to play this week no matter what happens. But obviously you love to trade on You're not be able to do that because everybody is seeing that Melvin Gordon's coming back. What do you do? Yeah, this is a tough situation

to figure out right now. Much like we have oftentimes with you know, players involved in holdouts or you know, potential suspe NSINs. We always have to try try and work our way through these situations, especially throughout draft season. But now this is one that's happening in season. I will say this, Greg the report that we got from the Cleveland playing dealer. The gentleman who reported that had followers on Twitter, but then Schefter followed up, so you know,

where they're smoked, there's fire. So I you know, I don't know that it's definitely going to happen yet, but obviously there's a lot regarding this situation right now. Look, I think if you can still sell Austin Ekeler for at low n RB one a high n RB two, obviously that's something I would look into doing. But how

realistic is that. I just pulled up Yahoo their trade market where you can see kind of the trades that are going down for a specific player, and I see a lot of Austin Ekeler for Levy on Bell, Austin Ekeler for Odell Beckham, Austin Ekeler for Derrick Henry. So if you can pull off a trade like that, it's something that I would look into. Because we do know at some point Melvin Gordon is going to be back. He needs to play at least half the season to have this count as an accrude season for him to

hit unrestricted free agency. So for him to do that, he has to play at least eight games this year, and i've it's the longer he sits out, he's actually hurting his value because Austin Nikela and Justin Jackson are basically doing as much as Melvin Gordon would do or even more. So he's hurting his value and I think he's starting to realize that, so he should be back soon
