This is the BFFs. He is frank stamfoll I am Grace sousman e y on the
way in just a moment, Frankie, what's happening? Rank you? What's up? Man? Week one? Officially in the books, we had some pretty good games last night. Honestly, the first game was awesome. I would say it's probably the game of the week, just driving up and down the field with Shawn Watson and Drew Brees. Will recap those games a little bit here in the first segment. The second game not nearly as exciting, but I think we all
expected that. But still a lot of fantasy football takeaways. Nonetheless, Greggy, how did you sleep last night? I slept well, man, I slept really, really well. It was good to wake up this morning. How did you stay up? I'm gonna guess you you watched none? No, no, no, that's centrue. You watched the first quarter of the Raiders Broncos and went to bed the first half alright, I wasn't far off, was the first half? Once let's got your sleeping habits
down almost, You're close. It's best friends, man, would you did you watch the whole game? I did watch the whole game. I went to bes way too late. Well, I bet on the Broncos, so we didn't go well, I had to, you know, just stay up till the end to see what happened. Let's bring it ey, what's happening, man, boys, good to be here. Yeah, I also watched the whole game. Frank was up to one thirty and was awake at
four on my way to the airports. So not as uh, not as well rested well, but yeah, doing Okay, I think we should bring up the fact that, like, you're here at this table. Yes, yes, I'm sure we work on a thirty fourth Street you'd say in Manhattan, Yes, yea, I am here at this table. We weren't street some other people that are on the show, was was working on thirty fourth Street yesterday? They didn't make an appearance here, just say no. Yeah, it was weird to be in
New York and not see you guys. Uh. It's one of those things you come in you know, your your day is just kind of filled with menal tasks and you know right now I'm working one day a week, and the least I can do is show up and be there for the show. That's that's what I did. And uh, but yeah, pumped up to talk football with you guys. I wish I could be on every day
with you, schedules permitting, I'm here as often as possible. Absolutely, I was just joking e y uh and New York last night and tonight, so I was grosser street at the garden too busy of course to hang best friends. But that's a guy and its cancer taking home betweenty four seven titles? Greg? How about that? And his kids and now has more more title wins and than other people. Too soon? Come on, and we still have a lot of time left. All right, let me let me get
into last night's games before we hit the break. Let's start out with the later game that I didn't watch. You guys to help me out. Let me start off with Broncos Raiders. People are raving about the Raiders. Now, Um, is this one of those un theory type of things. E Y was like, all right, they lost Antonio Brown. Now they're winning, not in spite of him, another winning because he's gone, and they're simply better. Yeah. Well, I mean,
let's not get ourselves. Skill wise, they're not better. But I do believe, uh, you know, sometimes it's as fantasy analysts or experts or whatever you wanna call us, I call myself an enthusiast. Um For me, a thing like that can can bring a locker room together. And the reality is is football is a team sport. There's not one guy that's going to to make or break anyone team. He was the best player on the team. You can't tell me any anything otherwise. But obviously it was a
massive distraction from day one. Um barely practiced, was barely a training camp, probably probably wasn't in a whole lot of meetings. It wasn't really around. The guys aren't going to miss him because most of them didn't even know him. Um and and the Raiders look decent. Tyroll Williams looked real good, Derek Carr looked, you know, pretty efficient, better than I think that most anyone thought he was going to be without Antonio Brown. So yeah, it's it's exciting.
The NFL is a better place when the Raiders are a good football team. Yeah, I want to piggyback off that as well. I don't think that they're better off without Antonio Brown, but I actually think Antonio Brown not being with the Oakland Raiders is better for everybody involved on this team from a fantasy perspective, because the way that I'm looking at it, I think that it's really concentrated amongst three people. It's really just gonna be Tyroll Williams,
Darren Waller, and Josh Jacobs. And that's a good thing because the more that we can concentrate fantasy production, uh, the more opportunity that the easier it is to predict moving forward weekend and week out. Darren Waller played fifty five of fifty five offensive snaps yesterday. He played of the snaps, he looked really really good. Clus seven of eight targets for seventy yards. Looks like he is going to fill that Jared Cook roll from a year ago
looked explosive. Tyrol Williams same thing. He had a few deep passes down the field. Didn't know Derek Carr had it in him, but ultimately, you know Tyro Williams. I said this yesterday when we were previewing this game from a betting perspective on the FANDUL Hurry up, Greg. Honestly, I might have you know downplayed Tyroll Williams talent, and I said, I don't know that he can hang as a wide receiver one in the NFL. Well, you know what, in his first opportunity to do so, he looked pretty
damn good. Seven targets, six receptions over a hundred yards and a touchdown. And Josh Jacobs man twenty three carries that was second among all running backs in Week one, behind only Marlon Mack. He had eight red zone carries greg that led the NFL in Week one. So look, if Josh Jacobs is getting twenty twenty five touches weekend and week out, he's going to be a high end RB two, borderline RB one. Yeah, absolutely, Josh Jacobs, that usage continues, he's going to absolutely be a mortal line
running back one of the season. I thought you said it really nicely, Frank, that Antonio Bryants all condensed. We know what we're getting, which is nice with Tyrielle Williams, with Darren Waller, with a lot of Josh Jacobs, and that's that's it. And if you picked up hunk to Ren for I think it's safe to say you could drop him absolutely. Well, that's some more of that coming up in just a moment. The early game was the fun game Saints and Texans, arguably the game of the week,
and we had an overtime time. But last night between the two good teams, the Saints and the Texans, you saw Bill O'Brien's fallacies, you saw the struggles on the defensive end of the Texans. Ultimately a fifty eight yard field will seals the deal for Will Lutts and the Saints. I was very, very impressed with the Texas last night, Frank. It was status quo as always for them. Deshaun Watson looked amazing. DeAndre Hopkins looked awesome as well. Surprised Will
Fuller didn't get worked in a little bit more. He did have a phenomenal catch, but outside of that wasn't really targeted much. Duke Johnson played on forty one sixty four snaps yesterday and Carlos Hyde played on the other twenty three, So this seems like it's basically a two thirds split in favor of Duke Johnson, which is pretty much what we expected. But Carlos Hide, we'll talk about this a little bit more when we get back. We'll
talk about Weaver wired today. Carlos Hide, looks like you still might have a little bit something left in the tank here. Greg, absolutely absolutely. We'll see about Carl Lewis side who was left for dead, talk about him picking him off the way over wire and who else to grab when we return. You're on the VFF wait talk with Teddy Covers at Ralph Michaels. I think the public is going to be on Tennessee because a week one results. When you have eighteen penalties like the Browns had eighteen
accepted penalties, you're never gonna win that game. The Browns basically their newness, their non familiarity, just the penalties were just absurd. He was the feature back with with Do Jackson, Do Jackson, Duke Johnson having his role, checkson having his role obviously Frankie, but it was more. It was a bigger role that we've seen in Cleveland. But it was still one b role. I thought for a lot to Carlos Tide when it
comes to running the football in the PVR league. Johnson's exactly who he thought he was. Carlos Hide more so Carlos Hides out there on the waiver wire. How much you're spending this week? Not much. I'll look at two to three percent, and in PPR, I mean even less than that one to two percent. But it is a running back that's seeing a third of the snaps on one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. And I have a feeling that if they would have got down on the goal line, you know, a one yard
run situation, it's probably Carlos Hyde who is on the field. So, you know, two to three percent, two to four percent, you know, maybe a little bit more aggressive if you own Duke Johnson and you just want to lock up both of those guys in the backfield. But as I mentioned, it's really a you know, two thirds split for Duke Johnson, like a sixty five percent snap share for Duke, thirty five percent for Carlos Hide. But he did look good.
Ten rushing attempts for eighty three yards eight point three yards per carry, not use much in the past game. That's pretty much what we expected. But you know, there are a few of the running backs that we'll talk about that I like more than Carlos Hyde. He's more of one of the lower end running backs that's target this Well, let's break into those running backs that works hard. Who is the number one guy, Eric Young this week off the waiver wire that you want to pick up.
I mean, if you play in a league that I'm not in, that Malcolm Brown is available, but if you play in one with me, and I took him probably probably earlier than you were thinking. And and uh, this week he showed why. I mean, this is a guy that the Rams spend money on to keep him around. You know that you just got to follow the money. And like I said, you can't listen to what they say.
You can only listen to what they do. And what they did is they paid this guy a bunch of money when other teams were trying to take him away. I understand that Darryl Henderson was drafted high, but he is a rookie in a very complex offense, and they like Malcolm Brown. Malcolm Brown is the number two there, and uh, he's he's worth his weight in gold, I believe. Yeah. For me, I'm gonna go a little bit of a
different round. I do like Malcolm Brown and agree that he should be added, especially in standard or non PPR leagues where the touchdown counts for so much in leagues like that. But I'm looking at Ronald Jones and Giovanni Bernard now things are still kind of up in the air. When it comes to Joe Mixon, he's dealing with an ankle injury. They're saying he's day to day, still has a chance to play in Week two. Unlike Kevin Coleman, who's dealing with a high ankle sprain, he's already been
ruled out for the next couple of weeks. Joe Mixon is still a chance he can play, but if he doesn't, it might only This might only be a short term add but every week matters in fantasy football, and if Joe Mixon is out, Gio Bernard is easily a top twenty four running back. We saw last year in weeks three and four when Joe Mixon did not play, Giovanni Bernard average ninety one total yards per game, eighteen touches per game, had three rushing touchdowns in those two games
as well. And then when it comes to Ronald Jones, I think this could actually have some staying power here. He has some long term, long lasting effect for fantasy. I only played one percent of the snaps this week. I understand that it was third most on the team behind darry O Goomba Wally and Peyton Barber, but he was clearly the most explosive running back on the team thirteen rushes for seventy five yards five point eight yards
per carry. He had three red zone wushing attempts this past week as well, while Peyton Barber only had one. There was a report that came out just earlier today where um Bruce Arians basically said they're gonna go with a similar approach. Peyton Barber is going to start, and they're gonna mix in Ronald Jones and if he has the hot hand and they're going to use him. I fully believe that Ronald Jones is better than Peyton Barber, and we're going to continue to see that the further
that the season goes along. He has the pedigree. In the off season, he added muscle mass. He looked more confident, you know, in Week one running the football than any time he did last year. So to me, Greg, it's Giovanni Bernard and Ronald Jones, but I don't think that Malcolm Brown is that far behind those guys. I just think that as long as Todd Gurley is healthy, it's very obvious that Malcolm Brown is the one B on
the Rams offense. Yeah, so Malcolm Brown is that one B. And it's very very frustrating, more so than anything else to the Todd Gurley owner who's going to have to deal with that. I'm e're gonna feel comfortable for growing Malcolm Brown in there. It was a long time. I'm not gonna feel comfortable in week two starting Malcolm Brown as a flex option. Probably not. You're you're almost hoping for a touchdown for me as I look at the waiver wire. Sure he scored two touchdowns a week one
he did. He had all five red zone rushing attempts. Todd Gurley had zero. Yes, I recognized that and one. And so I said to you, you sound very angry. Is it because you're the girly owner? Yes, that's clarify. I don't. I don't know if you have like a personal vendetta against Malcolm Brown. I love Malcolm Brown. I told Malcolm Brown up also have him as a handcuff in in GST and we don't even have Todd Gurley.
We just drafted as I forced the Yeah, he was a guy I wanted absolutely this exactly, you and I were on him. It makes a lot of sense. So the frustrating part about this is some of the times that Malcolm Brown got those red zone carries, it was Malcolm Brown drive right like they had girl on the bench and Malcolm Brown drove them down the field. But one time where it was a girly drive and girlies droving down the field, droving down the field that got
to the ten yard line. But in Darrel Henderson and I'm like, now, girls not even saying the game on his own drives. That's what can earns me as a Todd Gurley owner. Not even so that they're splitting carries in a way, it's that he was taking out on a drive that was all him, Rodell Henderson. So people have said they don't want big lineman falling on his knee out of the short stage. That's what I said yesterday, And it was a short yard of situation of like,
oh my god, I'm very concerned about the situation. We're gonna see how it plays out ultimately. Now go into where you're talking about with Tampa Bay and Daria Goomo wal a Um and Ronald Jones. I think the part and I don't want you glossed over it, but had the most snaps and of anybody the pass catch. He's a pass catcher running back. And say what you will with the Bucks, I think they're gonna be down more
often than not this season. They're gonna be chasing points, They're gonna be chasing a comeback, which I believe me. Goo is gonna be on the field more than anybody. Ronald Jones definitely looked the most explosive. But I'm not going all in here and dropping the bag, as some would say on Ronald Jones. I'm just not gonna do it. Yeah,
I'm not gonna be too aggressive on this either. You know, if you really need running back help, maybe five to six percent, But honestly, I'm not going higher than for any of the running backs. I think that this is a week to be aggressive on wide receivers and tight ends. And this is something we talked about a lot throughout draft season. Why we're so aggressive on running backs early on in fantasy football, because there's so many wide receivers
that emerge off the waiver wire. Now, it's not that we know that these wide receivers are going to be consistent options weekend and week out, but we have seen a lot of wide receivers emerge off waivers and I think that's a lot of the reason why at least I target running backs early on in fantasy drafts, because
so many of these wide receivers do emerge. So when it comes to Ronald Jones five to six percent, Giovanni Bernard, you know, if you're the mixing owner, you should have already had Bernard, But if you don't, then you're also probably in that five to six percent range. Greg, how would you rank Giovanni Bernard, Ronald Jones, and Malcolm Brown? Uh? For me? And is there anyone else that you think should be in this mix when it comes to running backs? So when it comes to run there are there are
actually you actually wrote them down here, Frankie. I think we gotta get ahem most there. And it's the same reason before you bear ranking, let me just talk about most for for a few moments, because for me, everybody knows this. I've said this, I banged this drum for years on Kyle Shadahan. That's why I was higher on Tevin Coleman than others. And Tevin Coleman and Matt Brina this past Sunday both look good and then Coleman gets hurt. Matt Brenda is not in a position physically to get
twenty touches a game. He cannot handle it. They are going to use a second running back, and that running back clearly right now is where he Moster. I understand a lot of his touches last weekend. Kwan Brina, no surprise, left the game due to dehydration issues. It's going to happen weekend and week out. Whether it's dehydration, whether it's getting the win knocked out of him, whether it's a leg and ankle, a hamstring, or growing. It doesn't matter.
Matt Brena can't stay on the field, So there's going to be somebody else that steps up, and I believe after looking at it this past Sunday, it's going to be most He has a role here. So I like Whee Moster, just like I like the Redskins duo of Adrian Peterson and Chris Thompson. If Darius Guys is out and it looks like he has a sprain, Minsk is a tornments disc is something going on that knee. That means Adrian Peterson's going to be active. He's going to
have a role. Also, if you will leave like so many others, that Washington is going to be coming from behind. Chris Thompson needs quote in the best shape of his life and feeling better than he ever has. Thompson's role and you saw it on Sunday, Frank, it hasn't changed. He's the third down guy. He's the passing down back. His role hasn't changed. And you know from years of experience that Adrian Peterson doesn't catch the football. So maybe Darius Guys will be a three down back. He's not yet.
Maybe Adrian Peterson will get back in the mix. He's not yet. The one thing that is secure is Chris Thompson. I want Chris Thompson. I want Rhee Moster, I want Malcolm Brown. I want all these guys, not none of them more from like five percent of my budget. But I think all of them are around the same level. I don't have any any of them significantly above. Yeah, and I would agree with that. I'll throw this to u UI real quick, we're coming up on a Berson away, right, Yeah,
so we'll throw the y when we come back. But overall, yeah, I agree with you. I tweeted this out yesterday. I think Mostart is going to be one of the most under raided waiver wire pickups here. We want Kyle Shanahan running backs for Fantasy football that Greta cannot handle a full workload. As you mentioned Greg Mostart, he looked really
good last year. He looked pretty good in Week one too, So Kevin Coleman out the next couple of weeks, and if anything happens, Tabrita Mostert Skyrocket or be our Salar would be too. In that scenario, let's take a break with e y s thoughts on all these running macks.

He's Frank staffeld I own grace. Let me just jomp write into e Y. We need a lot of running backs there from Ji Bernard, you mentioned Malcolm Brown, Ronald Jones, Chris Thompson, Adrian Peterson, My guy, most how do you see this running max? These running backs breaking down on a waiver wire?
How do you rank it? How are you um budget for these guys? What's your plan. It's all around the same. I think it just you got to decide, uh if you're playing for this week or you're trying to you know, do you need a starting running back for this week? Because I think what Frank said um with Giovanni Bernard is that's probably the guy to go to. The Zach Keylor's offense look really good. Uh wow, what an epiphany.
Make the guy that runs a four or four run really fast down the field and throw it to him. That's ah, it's a new it's a new us, the new world. We're living in a new Cincinnati Bengals. What a concept. But the Nivani Bernard is the guy that I would want for this week. But Malcolm Brown is still the guy that I want one term and I agree on on the Ronald Jokes stuff. I read the thing that arians named Peyton Barber the starter again and it makes me want to put my head through a wall.
I mean, it was clear he was the best running back on the team. I just don't know that it matters who's the starter, who plays on the first plan, who doesn't? Right, like we saw we saw how it wrote down right, like, are they the separation and carries or snaps. Rather, it was all within like seven of all three of them, right, like, yeah, I have it
right here. Oomba Wally was twenty six, Peyton Barber was twenty five, and Ronald Jones was twenty two, so they're all within four yet, so not even seven, so it doesn't matter. It's so frustrating too, because most teams really have two backs where like to have an early down guy and to have like the pass down guys. So that would make sense if it was just Ronald Jones and Ogomba Wally, and I still think that we can get there. That's why I'm talking about this is a
long term play. I'm not saying that you're gonna use Ronald Jones this week, although the matchup against Carolina does not look terrible based on what Girley and Malcolm Brown just didn't week one. But overall, I think it won't be long before Ronald Jones really does take over as like the early down running back. And then if they're trailing in games or if they're playing catch up, they have o Goomba Wally as that pass catching running back. Greg.
If I'm ranking these guys, I'm going Giovanni Bernard first, and then I'm going Ronald Jones, I'm going Malcolm Brown love Raheem mostert Uh. He played only twenty snaps in Week one, but not nine rushes for forty yards four point four yards per carry. Last, you're only thirty thirty four carries overall, extremely small sample size, but seven point seven yards per carry. And as we've mentioned Kyle Shanahan running backs, you just want to own these players when
it comes to fantasy football. It's not like Matt Breeda has been the model of health either. And then if you're playing PPR, I would put Chris Thompson as the next running back up. If you're playing standard, I would put Adrian Peterson as the next running back up. And then after that it's just if you're play in deeper leagues, I would look at Darren Sprowls. Just I understand it's Darren Sprowles, but exposure to a really good Eagles offense.
He played twenty two snaps, that was more than Jordan Howard. He had twelve touches in Week one as well, five point two yards per carry. And then after him, I would have Carlos Hide. But it's not a bad week for running backs, Greig, but I would argue the wide receivers are much better than the running backs on waiver wire after Week one. I would totally agree. As I said, I'm not spending more than five or six percent of
my budget on any of these guys this week. But ultimately, you know they're nice, they're nice death to have, and we'll see what they could come up to do. I agree with frank we look at the running backs this week, you want to look a little bit long term. That's why Ronald Jones is a top options on. Malcolm Brown
is tom option raheem moastered as well. Let's move on to those wide receivers, Frankie, And at the end of our draft, almost everywhere I begged you to for us to draft John Brown and Jameson Crowd is a guy that I thought climbed throughout draft season, like people saw how the Jets were using him and they liked him. And James Crowd of John Brown, both had monstrous games in their own right this past Sunday. But the man that I always surprised everybody, but surprised everybody were the rookies.
Hollywood Brown in particular, scary Terry McLaurin as well, and DK Metcalf had a role here UM for Seattle. These three rookies really really jumped off the page for us, of course, starting with Hollywood Brown in the first half UM in that big blowout in Miami. Or Ke's Brown was amazing, but the naysayers were points and he didn't really play that many snaps. He didn't need to. He didn't really have many targets or many receptions. He didn't need to do any of those things. But we want
to project going forward. Jamison Crowder and Steve Sataboy has a great stat Jamison Crowder had more receptions than markets Brown played snaps. It's insane, right like it's it's a it's at and it's true. So what do you take of Markey's Brown and how much you're spending on I will start with Jamison Crowder and John Brown real quick. The only reason I had those names on the list is because they're less than six owned in YAHOO League. So just see if they're available. If you play in
ten team leagues, those players should be owned. That's John Brown and Jamison Crowder. I agree that in your standard twelve team leagues, those players were probably drafted, but I thought it was worth mentioning throwing their names out there and make sure that they are owned. When it comes to Mark's Brown, I think he's going to be a very boomer bust option. I see a lot of DeShawn Jackson in his game. He is extremely fast. His repertoire
was on full display this past week. Only playing fourteen snaps, but he took a quick slant to the house, and he also got behind the defense and caught a deep pass that went through the air over the top. So you know, he showed what he can do on limited snap ups. But I think moving forward, they're still going to want to run the football, and they're still Mark
Andrews in this offense, and they're still Miles Boykins. So while I think that he's an explosive player and he has upside you can take any one catch to the house for a touchdown, I don't know how consistent his targets are going to be. And that's why I would argue Greg that Scary Terry McLaren might actually be the top waiver wire add this week over Hollywood Brown. I just think that there could be a little bit more
consistency there Adam McLaren versus Mark He's Hollywood Brown. Well, I think that's something we have to figure out right, that consistency and who we trust more going forward. McLaren had a good opportunity this week and he won't pay major dividens. We thought would be Tray Quinn, it wasn't. It was McLaren. Even though Quinn didn't catch a touchdown. Um, Hollywood Brown though lit off the pages, jumped right off it as hell e y. As he gets healthier, there
may be more snaps available to him. Yeah, I believe that. I mean, like he said, he didn't have to play, Like you know, Lamar Jackson didn't play the whole game. He was hurt for them for the majority of training camp. Uh, and there's no sense of risking a player of that caliber. I think you mean he's a he's a speed guy with I'm pretty sure it was a hamstring injury, so they're just watching his reps. I do believe I agree with what you say that he is going to be
similar to Vincent Jackson. Um, I think he will be more reliable than or not Vincent Jackson, sorry Deshaun Jackson, but he would be more reliable. I think he's probably the number one waiver wire guy to grab and but McLaurin, Uh, Look, the Washington Redskins are going to be losing and are going to be throwing the ball at the end of almost every single football game, and McLaren could be the number one receiver there. So that's always a valuable guy
to have in fancy. Here's what you have to ask yourself as well, Greg, when pinning Marky's Brown up against Terry McLaurin on the waiver wire, you have to ask yourself, how much of what we saw against the Miami Dolphins is real? Because they are a god awful football correct? And you know I said this last week. I still
stand by it. The strength of their defense is their secondary is Avian Howard is still a really good player make of Fitzpatrick is a I think up and coming player as well, second year player for the Miami Dolphins. It didn't show in Week one. I understand that, But you have to weigh how efficient that offense was, Greg, how much of that was real? Right? How much of what Lamar Jackson did as a passer in week one
is real? Is that something that we can actually hang our hat on moving forward, because if not, if we don't, if we still think that they're going to run the football a lot with Mark ingram In, Justice Hill and Gus Edwards, then that's why I think I'm slightly leaning with Terry McLaurin. And McLaurin looked great as well. I mean, he played the second most snaps among their wide receivers,
behind only Tray Quinn. Trey Quinn should be owned as well, played a ton in the slot, but Terry McLaurin was used all over the field and he was used in a variety of ways at five catches on seven targets, sixteen percent targets share, including a sixty nine yard touchdown as well, And when Dwayne Haskins takes over as the starting quarterback, I don't know if it's gonna happen soon. Maybe it's, you know, the final four or five weeks of the season. He played with Terry McLaurin in college.
They both went to Ohio State. So I think that's something that also lends itself to the longevity. If you're looking at who has more season long upside and potential, it's Terry McLaurin over Marky's Brown, But I do think it's close. How much? So what is this number that we're spending on these guys? And that's the magic question. Man, Let's talk this out right now, at least I'm trying to figure it out right now while I put my bids in before you do, before you do, while you
swimmer on that. I think we have to mention John Ross. Like John Ross has it's a one A, one B, one C. And you can ask, you know, three different people finding people, you get completely different. And Ross has to be in that conversation, man. And there was somebody I was with that's just the show on Sunday and he's just like, oh it is is yours Tyler Boyd? And it's funny because it's like ridiculous. But I know,
we had a conversation about John Ross the summer. We kind of laughed it off and we kind of like jokingly said, is he gonna be the Brandon Cooks of this ram style offense that did his best Brandon Cooks inpersonation? And we exactly what we said over the summer, and you have to wonder and I'll do it out loud. Not that Tyler boy had a bad game or something because he didn't. But what he is for the foreseeable future going to get the number one cornerback covering him.
John Ross is the number two wide receiver in this in this office, He's the number two option this offense. I did a fan new video a month ago saying, hey, don't sleep on Tyler Iford for this exact reason. John Ross is a has been reborn. There's a new coaching staff here, there's a new regime in town that aren't
trying to turn him into a cornerback. They're trying to use his speed to route that he can be successful, that he provides a different dynamic to this offense than anybody else, including a Jan Green, and including Tyler Boyd. Sure when a J. Green comes back, Ross will not have the same presence, I'm sure, but he's going to have eight presents. Cincinnati is a tough spot in Seattle. We all thought, so Sletting is going to get it was nine and a half point spread. Sletting is going
to get easier for John Ross. There is a case to be made that he should be one A to McLaren and the Marquis Brown. How much are we spending y on these three guys, I'm with you. I'm really excited about what John Ross can be. I mean, the truth is is like it's recency biased. You just think about the Cincinnati Bengals. You think about what John Ross was, uh and how he was. You know, most people going into this year, we're saying, look at this guy's that he's a bust. He was drafted high, he had all
these unbelievable intangibles crazy forty time. I think Chris Johnson may be the only guy that run faster for aty time, I can't remember, but like having him in a guy that can design an offense around what he has, John Ross is going to take the top off defense is It's going to make the Cincinnati Bengals better. Joe Mixon is going to prosper when he's healthy, and John Ross
is gonna be a huge part of this offense. Yes, please, Like the number that came to mind immediately was twelve to fiftent of my fed especially if you're really, you know, desperate for wide receivers as well, if you drafted some wide receivers early on and they don't look like they're working out so far. Stefen Diggs were kind of worried about Stefon dig If you need the wide receiver help, I would rank it Terry McLaurin, Marquis Brown, John Ross. It's all really close. I like all three you guys.
Twelve to fiftent is the number. I'm looking at a lot of money, but I recommend doing it because you need to spend the money now. Because he helping me with the next fifty weeks. It reminds you of Tyler Boyd from last season. You pick them up early on, he helped you all season long. We have more wide receivers and will get d J. Hockenson as well. A lot more to come, not a lot of time to do it. Toffs. The Fantasy Sports Network is ready to

Yes, Giovanni Bernard, if mixing is gonna miss time, but that's a function of how much time mixing is missing and if you really think you would start Giovanni Bernard given the rest of your roster in that time, that mixing isn't done. That's the way you need to look at this with people
that are replacing them, would they crack you're starting lineup? Anyway? Well, if the answers though, and it's like a three week injury, then do you really need to spend your priority on that or your fat budget on it? I understand making the assets, but you gotta prioritize sometimes. Monday and Thursday seven eight pm Eastern heav key is Y Radio and
TV channel seven nineteen. All right, we have a lot more to do, not that much time to do, is I want to jump back in Frank, you said twelve to fifty were sent for These top wide receivers are all aboard, including Martin's Brown, Terry mclauren, and John Ross, And you everlieve ranked it in that order? Right? For me, it is mclauren first, Marcy's Brown, and then John Ross.
But they're all really close. You know. It's interesting because I guess the thing was really both McLaren and they have the ability to be the wide receiver one on their team right now. And the McLaren played. I don't think John Ross is ever going to have that a bitter not from a target share perspective, but it will
say this based on this offense. Once A J. Green returns and people are gonna be worried about, well, I don't want a bid too much on John Ross because once Green is back, you know his target chair is gonna go down. I mean, this guy clut seven or twelve targets. He finished as the wide receiver three overall in Week one and he had three drop passes, so
he left production on the field. I think once this Bengals offense is at full strength, John Ross is gonna be one of those players that can do a lot with a little because defenses are going to be trying to stop Tyler Boyd and a J. Green. And you know, only if John Ross, if he only gets you know, four to five targets a game, if a few of those are deep shots, he's someone that can be a volatile,
boomer bust wide receiver three. So I don't think that, you know, John Ross's value is just completely gonna go away once A J. Green returns to this offense. Greg plus, there's a good chance that he gets hurt again. It's Green has been consistently hurt the past couple of years, dealing with lower leg injuries. So it's not like once
he gets healthy, he's gonna remain healthy. So that's you know, if you're worried about John Ross for the entirety of the season, I would just say keep those things in mind. I believe maybe I'm wrong that the Hollywood Brown hype is gonna have him being one of the probably the most expensive piece here, especially based because he was the first round pick this year, this year's NFL Dame being related to Antonio browning, these things actually matter. Like it
sounds ridiculous, but people look at stuff like that. You look at Washington, like Terry McLaren doesn't have the name, he doesn't have the draft pedigreely, but he can be the number one wider. He ran a four point three ft targeted seven times on Sunday. His speed score was in the ninetent. That's more targets and more. He's Brown just saying, and he was on the field a lot. As I mentioned, he played over fifty snaps. He was behind only Trey Quinn, who's the slot guy. All Richardson
was non existent. What Richardson snaps were similar, Like they ran three wide receiver sets and it was mcclaure in Richardson. Do you do you think that if Judary never comes back, he's affected or now I think that probably affects Tray
Quinn more and someone like Paul Richson. I really do think that based on what we saw, Like Terry McLaurin is a bawler, like I think, I think he's a real player, and I think that they're gonna find ways to get him involved now based on what he did in week one, Oh it was not so Tray Quick was actually afterwards that Chris Thompson had ten targets and then it was Richardson, McLaurin. Chris Thompson. Sorry, share was massive. I actually am buying in on this, like best shape
of my life. You don't normally see him get that many targets in J Gruden's offense. They've always kind of like to limit him because of his injury history. I mean, getting three carries and ten targets, thirteen running back opportunities,
that is a massive amount for Chris Thompson. All right, let me move on to some of the other wide receivers here that are on this list, and that brings me to Randall Cob and I know I gotta get through a lot of these guys quickly, so let me start with Randall Cop and Cole Beasley and Danny Almond olags. They're all similar that they're all suck and I would I would put me Cole Hardman in that mix just in terms of my priority. An Harman in that mix.
I think he's different than these guys. Randall Cob, Cole Beasley, Danny Amadola. They are slot they're slot wide receivers, all veterans, right, How would you rate those three guys, e y veteran slot wide receivers who certainly showed up to play in Week one? Randall Cob against the Giants, Danny A. Mandola doing his thing in his first game of Matthew Stafford say that, Cole Beasley and Josh Allen. How do you rate those three slot wide receivers and how bad do
you do want him? I think, I mean Amadola he's one of those guys like when he looks good man, he looks good and it looks like he's going to be a pretty good part of the offense, there's going to catch a bunch of balls. Is going to be Stafford's kind of like, uh, release Valve. I don't think the tight end is going to be as strong as he was the first week. I just I mean they're playing the Cardinals. They've been brutally, historically brutal against the
tight tight end, and uh, he's a rookie. I just don't think they're going Stafford's going to rely on him like he did in that game. And then those all those kind of like underneath, you know, middle of the field balls are going to bed. So I think I had to rank one, I rank him the highest. But they all are intriguing, you know. I mean, they're all kind of the same guy in the same position and are probably gonna have around the same production. Definitely all intriguing.
I would take Randall Cobb of this group. Greg. I know he's been so injury prone over the past couple of years, but I want exposure to this Dallas Cowboys offense. Man, they looked phenomenal under Kellen Moore calling plays there. They used a lot of play action. Dak Prescott looked amazing as well. Through over four hundred yards and four touchdowns.
I realized it came against the New York Giants, so a lot of quarterbacks are gonna look great against the Giants this here, but I won't exposure to that Cowboys offense, so I would take Randall Cobb over All. These played forty eight of sixty eight snaps on Sunday forty one in the slot, saw five targets, four for sixty nine and one touchdown as well, so I would take Randall Cobb.
I would actually rank Cole Beasley second, the reason being I think they're gonna be games where Marvin Jones gets more involved, and I think that there are legitimately four pass catchers on the Lions on a team that still won to run the football. They have Baby Tron, they have Marvin Jones, they have t J. Hockenson, and they have Avendola. When I look at the Buffalo Bills, I really just see two pass catchers and John Brown and
Cole Beasley. They'll probably use Devin Singletary as well, So I would rank it ran new Cobb, then Cole Beasley, then well dany A Mendel. Dani Avendola would be third of that group, and again Greg I know I just mentioned him. He's kind of a different player, but I would take McCole Hardman over all of them. Yeah, so Nkole Harmon, I would also take over all of them because as you pointed out to me yesterday, and the reason I'm separating because he's different. As you went out
to me yesterday, he was on the field. He was all the fifty three snaps. Fifty three snaps, just twenty two of them came into slot. Greg tyreek Hill didn't play for the most part. Obviously, Sammy Watkins went nuts as teams adjusted to take Sammy Watkins out of the game or attempt to take Sammy Watkins in the game. Sure, Travis Kelsey is gonna step up, but another wide receiver is going to do as well. They're going to use Nicole Hardman speed, They're gonna use his ability, and he's
going to be a valuable fantasy come. I want him because I think the upside is simply higher than it is for Randall Cobble, Cole Beasley and whoever else we just named Dannie A. Mandola. Yeah, I agree, it's what I just said about Randall Cobb, but times that by ten. I just want exposure to this Chief's offense any way that I can get it, and Hardenan looked really good in the preseason. He scored two touchdowns in the preseason, as I mentioned, played fifty three snaps on Someboday. Twenty
two of those came in the slot. So yeah, Sammy, Watkins and Kelsey are far and away the number one and two receivers in this offense. Damian Williams is going to see targets out of the backfield. But if you're asking me who's gonna see those deep shots, you know, one to three of those per game that Tyreek Kill normally gets, I think it's going to be me. Cole Hardman, so e y, I'll throw it your way as well. Where would you rank Hardman amongst all the wide receivers
we've talked about? Is he, you know, clearly behind the Marquis Brown, Terry McLaurin, and John Ross group for you? And is he ahead of those slot receivers for for me? Is just because I mean, we didn't see him do a whole lot, and I I don't know, maybe it's a it's a bias, but I think DeMarcus Robinson is going to be the guy that that fills in and get um some of the volume there when Tyreek Hill is out. That that's just what I think. I know that they drafted him high by DeMarcus Robinson has been
in the offense. He's a very similar athlete. I mean, nobody is the same as Tyreek Hill, but he's a very similar style of athlete and receiver that Tyreek Hill is. So I mean, for me, uh, I think McLaren would probably be my number one UM. But I'm battling with that right now. Do I do I bid more on him? Or do I bid more on Markis Brown? Marky's Brown,
I think is the number one receiver there. But they're not going to play the Dolphins every week, and they're a running team, like I still believe, and I know I said in the off season, and I still believe that they're going to be the number one rushing team in the NFL. Uh, And they're just not going to throw the ball enough to have him. You know that that much of I think he's the best player out
of him. But I mean, the situation is McLaren, they're going to be down and they're gonna be throwing the ball. I think he's going to be the most valuable by the end of the year. They've just been like a half four on Baby Shark. DJ Shark. We haven't mentioned him yet, should we have. I'm a little bit worried about DJ Chark. To touch the touchdown Daddy score was an awesome one. He's a big body. He can get behind the defense, but that came with Nick Foles in
the game. Once Gardner Minshew came in, d J Chark saw only eight percent of the target chair. Chris Connley is the one that I would actually rank ahead of d J Chark, so twenty of the target chair. With Gardner Minshew at quarterback, Chris Conley played forty four snaps compared to d J Chark. Do Do Do Do To Do only played forty one, So Chris Conny was on the It was close, but they're the outside guys very clearly for this offense. GDSD. Westbrook is in the slot.
Let me move on to the tight ends very quickly here. Because there's two names that matter more than anybody else. It's t J. Hockinson who proved his role in a major, major way yesterday for Detroit. Although Frank has pointed out he's owned in quite a few leagues. And then Darren Waller, who we speculated over the weekend when this team cut Antonio Brown, go pick a Hunter, run fro go, put pick up Darren Waller. And I said to you yesterday right after our show, is like, dido Darren Waller, And
You're like, well we we we have Jervis Kelsey. What do we what do we ever need him for? It was like, you want to stockpile talent. And I say this to you, even if Travis Kelsey is your tight end, you stockpile talent. You never know what will happen. Darren Waller is talented and you saw it last night. Yeah. And I will go as far as to say, hot take here, I would take Darren Waller ahead of t
J Hockinson. I understand how amazing Hockinson looked over a hundred yards, receiving nine targets, six receptions, scored a touchdown as well. He was on the field for over seventy of the snaps. But as I mentioned, the Lions have four legitimate pass catchers on this team. I didn't even mention carry On Johnson, Who's gonna catch the ball out of the backfield, and they still want to establish the run.
They want to run the football there. Darren Waller, I believe will be the number two target getter on the Oakland Raiders. I think that he can have a Jared Cook type season, which means that he's going to be in consideration to be a top six, top five tight end this season. So I think he's gonna be a little bit more consistent than t J. Hockinson. I really like the talent and what I saw of Hockinson. He's gonna be on the field a ton because he's a
phenomenal blocker as well. But you why if you're asking me between the two, I'm taking Darren Waller over t J. Hockinson. Yeah, Buddy Frank with this is the Breast Friends Forever podcast, and Uh, I am agrees. That's how I look at it exactly. Uh. They're like he said, they're not going to play the Cardinals every week. They've been brutal against the tight end for as long as I can remember. And the reality is his Waller is going to be the second, you know, maybe the third, but he's proven
that that he can handle the workload. I feel like this is like a redeption story for him, which you know you can't like. I know, I'm maybe I'm the master of the narrative. Uh and sometimes people wanted to to get rid of the narrative. But look at the end, these guys are human beings. This is a guy that people are looking at as his rookie season, but I think he's been in the for five years, um, but it has been non existent because of drugs and alcohol.
He's turned his life around. He's sober, he's clean, he is dedicated to football and the Raiders, and uh, I think he's going to pay dividends this year. And he's a crazy mismatched problem too. Reminds you of Evan Ingram, right. He has a wide receiver coming out of college. He's six ft six, He ran like a four point five forty coming out and now he's been converted to tight end. So just a mismatch problem. I take Darren Waller over Hawkinson. Greg.
I put the poll out before the show, and just to give you perspective, how close this is a hundred and eight votes in Marcus Marcy's Brown leads to votec Darren Waller, Terry McLaurin, John Ross ninetent In terms of which player would you prioritize most in the on the waiver wire this week, I think ultimately it comes down to what position you need. You need tight end, you go Darren Waller over those wide receivers. Greg It. We're streaming defenses here this week. The number one defense. He
wrote it down. Frankly, I agree with it. It's abuf a little Bills taking on the New York Giants. Giants can't do much of anything this past week. Bills were solid against the Jets. I actually started the Bills against the Jets last week knowing st against the Giants this week, so that worked out well. Other defenses, you point out San Francisco four night. There is actually people a lot of points last week. That's uh touchdown return, uh interception
returning for a touchdown to pick six. They face his Adi. Not bad, not a terrible match, not bad. Rago's versus Chicago Mitchell Drowisky in that the offensive line did not look good for the most part. Really like the Broncos this week in Chicago. They're out there in most refence game for VIC Fanjou, that's true. And you mentioned, of course Carolina here against Tampa Bay. You wanna meagine quarterbacks quickly? Yeah, I'll just throw it to Josh Allen if you play
in a one quarterback league and you need a streaming quarterback. Um. He goes up against the New York Giants who just got Tors for four hundred yards and four touchdowns. Josh Allen actually led all quarterbacks in Week one with ten rushing attempts only thirty eight rushing yards. It was a mixed bag performance for Josh Allen. I realized that he had four turnovers, but the completion percentage was very good as well. I'm looking for Josh Allen to get back
on track in Week two against the Giants. I also liked Sam Donald against the Browns and Derek Carr going up against the Chiefs, who just made Gardner Minshew look pretty damn good. He went five yards and two touchdowns. They asked you yesterday, I gotta ask you a gett a super flex? How much for Gardner Minshew. I'm not throwing down much unless I was relying on Nick Foles as my super flex core are back. In that case,
probably looking at five to seven. But if I just need to back up, I'm probably only throwing one on Gardner pretty zero dollar bin and a super flex legal Josh Dobbs no e y, that'll do it for us. He's Frank easy y. I'll be back tomorrow. These guys both well, I'll try to pop in. I'll be around, see what happens. I'm Grea. Thank you so much for watching you good luck in your bitch tonight. Here's what you miss on the BFTS. Let me start off with Bronco's Raiders. People are raving about the Raiders. Now, Um, is this one of those euing theory type of things. E Y was like, all right, they lost Antonio Brown. Now they're winning this not in spite of him, another
winning because he's gone and they're simply better. Yeah. Well, I mean, let's not get ourselves. Skill wise, they're not better. But I do believe, uh, you know, sometimes just as fantasy analysts or expert or whatever you wanna call us, I called myself an enthusiast. Um for me, a thing like that can can bring a locker room together. And the reality is is football is a team sport. There's not one guy that's going to to make or break anyone team. He was the best player on the team.
You can't tell me any anything otherwise. But obviously it was a massive distraction from day one. Um barely practiced, was barely a training camp probably probably wasn't in a whole lot of meetings. It wasn't really around. The guys aren't going to miss him because most of them didn't even know him. Um and and the Raiders look decent. Tyrone Williams looked real good, Derek Carr looked, you know, pretty efficient, better than I think that most anyone thought
he was going to be without Antonio Brown. So yeah, it's it's exciting. The NFL is a better place when the Raiders are a good football team. Yeah, I want to piggyback off that as well. I don't think that they're better off without Antonio Brown, but I actually think Antonio Brown not being with the Oakland Raiders is better for everybody involved on this team from a fantasy perspective, because us the way that I'm looking at it, I
think that it's really concentrated amongst three people. It's really just gonna be Tyroll Williams, Darren Waller, and Josh Jacobs. And that's a good thing because the more that we can concentrate fantasy production, the more opportunity that the easier it is to predict moving forward weekend and week out. Darren Waller played fifty five of fifty five offensive snaps. Yesterday he played of the snaps, he looked really really good.
Clus seven of eight targets for seventy yards. Looks like he is going to fill that Jared Cook roll from a year ago looked explosive. Tyrol Williams same thing. He had a few deep passes down the field. Didn't know Derek Carr had it in him, but ultimately, you know Tyro Williams. I said this yesterday when we were previewing
this game from a betting perspective on the fandal, hurry up, Greg. Honestly, I might have, you know, downplayed Tyroll Williams talent, and I said, I don't know that he can hang as a wide receiver one in the NFL. Well, you know what, in his first opportunity to do so, he looked pretty damn good. Seven targets, six receptions over a hundred yards and a touchdown. And Josh Jacobs man twenty three carries that was second among all running backs in Week one,
behind only Marlon Mack. He had eight red zone carries Greg, that led the NFL in Week one. So look, if Josh Jacobs is getting twenty to twenty five touches weekend and week out. He's going to be a high end RB two, borderline RB one. Yeah, absolutely, Josh Jacobs, that usage continues, he's going to absolutely be a mortal line running back one of the season. I thought you said
it really nicely, Frank, that Antonio Bryant's all condensed. We know what we're getting, which is nice with Tyrielle Williams, with Darren Waller, with a lot of Josh Jacobs, and that's that's it. And if you picked up Hunter Ren for I think it's safe to say you could drop him.
