You're listening to the Fantasy Sports Radio Network. Let me just become best friends. Fantasy best friends forever. Out over two Fantasy best friends forever, Fantasy Sports Radio Network. That's Frank Stamp Gregg Susman joined today. Like the shirt. Thank you for the closer, Chris Betro, Chris, what's good? How are you guys doing? Happy Mother's Day? Blated Mother's Day to everybody's mother's out there. It is your boy, Chris Patrol the closer Here. I'm feeling a little under the weather,
but it's right. What's going on? It is the weather maybe, but Saturday again, Friday and Saturday here in New York we get seventy degree weather and then yesterday forty degrees in raining. Today fifty degrees in raining. Sucks raining every day. I think it's raining very easy to get to get sick right now. I do like the shirt as well, But Greg, why do you like the shirt? You don't like video games? Have the game way back in the day? Did you? Of course? So how the hell did you
have a game Boy? And how Pokemon? That's a reasonable question. Yeah, no, no, no no, See the game way I had was like the old one or the original? Okay, yeah, Pokemon red version came out for the original game Boy. I never played Pokemon. That was that came out for the original game silver one. Yeah, I still own my original game Boy I got I remember playing. I had version on it, So I had that game Boy. Had one more game Boy after that. Oh so you yeah you went through
my color? Yeah? Color? That's ended there. That that was it? Okay? I mean I have like every Nintendo system that was ever made. What did you think? So? What did you think of a Game of Thrones? Chris? Overall, I thought that episode was good. I you know, everything leading up to kind of rushed. So that's that's the thing that bothers me. They should have extended it a little further and went a little more in depth. We're all in agreement. Yeah,
but you know, I'm happy the way. Uh. A lot of things panned out, especially obviously Jamie and my favorite character. He got what he wanted. He did, he ended his career in a good way. He killed a guy who was really cocky and I hated that guy. Anyway, you're on so happy about all that. Really, it's not like Joshua Jackson. I just everybody downstairs. He looks like a beefed up Joshua Jackson. There's no Josha Jackson's milk. You're
gonna assume you're not talking about the Phoenix suns. No, no, no, no, just right, you're on grad. Yeah she doesn't. I'm looking it up now. Yeah, that's what I thought of the first time I saw him. So what is Joshua Jackson actually in because he looks so he's he's Mighty Ducks. He was a star might Ucks. Yes, Creek, the Skulls, The Affair, Yeah a lot. Yeah. I always wanted to watch the movie, The Affair TV show he did. I'm thinking about something else, and you're on didn't fit Game
of Thrones like that character that guy. Oh Kingo watches this show the Affair. That's what I don't watch it. I've seen it like on in the house before. That's why it sounded familiar. I thought it was something else. Cercy should have got it worse, I guess, but that wouldn't complete Jamie stories. That would be That's what I wanted to um uh and the first preview to tweet I did so. One person really liked it last night. And to those complaining, uh, this person Chris said this.
Everyone complaining can unite and write the final book together. I already a title for you, Game of Groans Throng Throng of Cries and Gripes. Oh uh do you like that? Venture? What do you have that? Sweet? I kind of like it? You know that sweet? It did retweet that? No? No, not because I don't. I can understand some people complaining. That's everyone complaining, can unite and write the final book together. I already had the title for you, Game of Groans
Throng of Cries and Gripes. It's all. It's actually decently creative. Greg Throng Throng of Cries and Grapes the original book, how much thought do you think you put it in? That through? Not much much, but I could be lying game of groans, throng of cries and gripes. If said tweet or doesn't happen to contact you throughout the show, let me know what they were sponsores, because I would love to know. You gotta remember, it's a show. So yeah, you can't be too hard on it. They've done a
great job to to this season. Really, it just shows to me over you could tell that that's me. That's the saddest part, yeah, is that you could tell that they just all kind of wanted to be over. And I don't know if it starts at the top of the writers, but maybe it's the actors and the actresses too. Maybe they just want to move on and think about it.
They've been they've been doing this for the past almost ten years, so it's a lot of time and emotion invested into, you know, one role and one show, and maybe everyone just kind of wants to move on. But it sucks. It feels like we're kind of being uh let down a little bit here. It feels like there's a lot on the table that we still need to know about. But like I was saying to man, that's why you go out and read the book. You gotta read the books if you want more detail. That's what
we have to do. And now you says I'm interesting before earlier, UMM about how the writers are moving on to Star Wars. That seems like they're just kind of ready to do that. Probably that makes sense, and everyone's already making jokes about it. Imagine you are the writers to ruin both Game of Thrones and Star Wars in your lifetime. It's not good to be You don't want to be known as that. He didn't. I wouldn't say they ruined, but like the people who are overly critical
of the show right now, so it's over. This is worse than the end of Dexter. Oh my god, that nothing's worse than Honestly, I didn't even get there. I know a lot of people did, but totally, I'm very I'm the most pessimistic person. The ending of the Dexter was the worst day you've seen it? Yes, you want to tell you what it is? I love the show. Yeah, because I got to see No, no, you should watch you should watch No, no, no, no, you should watch it. I'm gonna tell you that. Did you watch the end
of season four? By the way, because yes, I'll tell you what see No, I think everything kind of goes downhill aft to that correct. The season I stopped watching was the first episode of the season where she died. What's her name? The season that Rita died. Yeah, that episode if the episode I stopped watching. Okay, so that's it's less episode season four. The last episode of season four is read Dies. That was one of the biggest like oh my god moment. Yeah, well, then I watched
the next episode. I feel like you kind of reiterated a lot of that episode. Then it might have that was the first episode of season five. I remember a lot that happened to do with that. I remember the car crash or something on the highway. Was a Dexter got to car crash with somebody I don't know, But
after that I think might have been Dexter. Actually, yeah, I think it was, And I did right episode I stopped, so it got built up anyway, so instead of being built up like they're all gonna find him, nobody was really searching for him other than Liguerta, who he later killed. Yeah, so it ended he thought like all right, and he had to go to jail or he get killed right, true story. Assisted had to do something with it, right,
He fakes his death and he comes a lumberjack. No, he doesn't want to kill anymore the way I mean, there's like a there's there's obviously there's there's a lesson to be learned from this, Like he has to live in exile by himself for the rest of his life because of what he did, and that's yeah, you can't get away with like he did. He went into exiled becoming a lumberjack. But yeah, that's how he really got the rest of his life alone. So I read that Showtime.
I don't know how true this is or not. I read that Showtime wouldn't let the creators kill dexter Off just in case they wanted to ever bring it back and do a movie or something. That's dumb. I don't know, that's sure not. But at the same time, no one probably would have expected that ending. It was terrible. It was panned. Do you guys agree to disagree? I didn't hate it, you know a most people hate. You want to know the worst I'm in the minority. You want
to know the worst ending? I should've ever watched? Seth brans No, no, no, do you guys, ever watched The Killing? No? No, I heard of that. So The Killing was a show on AMC and it started Miriel Enos and Joel Is Joe Kimman kid im in there like alas of stuff that you know, Frank, he's awesome. This guy, you're like guy right now? Mm hmm, not the way that he looks there. Maybe maybe in a different role. So it started these two people and basically, first episode, a little
girl gets killed. Right, It's all right, So they're the detectives and they all the personal demons or whatever. Who killed the girls. The whole show is about the whole first season. The first season is about who killed the girl? Right? So of course after every episode do you think it's somebody else? There's all these red herrings and whatever? Who killed the girl? He hits the final episode. They don't tell you. You gotta watch season too to find out
who killed the girl? What. Yeah, the whole thing is who killed Rosie Larson? And after the season one's over, they don't. They don't tell you who kills Rosie Larson. The entire first first season meant nothing. You have the watch season to to find out. At build up, I said this I'm never watching the show ever again. And I didn't. All right, well, I mean they leave you on to the cliffhanger. They're trying to get you to
come back, and so you don't understand. It was got so much heat for this because every billboard was like, who killed Rosie Larson? But you never found out who killed Rose. You can't even seasonal cliffhanger like that, where the whole purpose of the first season was to figure that out. It wasn't like she died in the last episode. You're like trying to find out who killed her the first episode she dies ten episodes later, you don't know who killed her? Joke? But have you seen any reviews
about it since then? Like it was so a lot of people felt like me, it was just like, this is the most pathetic they I've ever seen in my life. And I don't forget who killed her now, But um, you got a lot of backlash even season two they said it wasn't good. It was not because I was wondering if they redeemed themselves. No, no, no, no, no, that's some baseball. Baseball's baseball. What did you, Chris? Would
you would you watch this weekend? Anything? Anything? Stand now, Um, Josh Bell obviously, Josh Bell can't stop on stop and stop, won't stop beast obviously. Uh, Gelito start stood out to me. I picked him up right before the start, and I'm happy I did. I think he could be a long term option, So I'm on that. Uh, and the Yankees obviously taken two out of three. Huge start, Yesterka to not just talking about it from like a Yankee fan of perspective, Blake Snell was still awesome, although he ran
into some trouble here. Just watching him mow people down and he had like seven strikeouts in the first three innings. I mean the guy who was just absolutely um yeah, he was awesome, But I mean Tanaka. You really needed to see a nice little bounce back performance from Tanaka here, and you could argue, look, Tanaka could awaken complete game yesterday, Greg, what do you have seventy five pitches from seven or something like that, so he could have gone a little
bit further. But if he were just playing it safe, because it was like it was about to be like the fourth time through the order, so they, you know, the entire raised lineup had seen this guy like three times already. So I think they were just playing it safe and Aaron Bhuton has always kind of been that way. But nice little bounce back performance here first, Occer, I think most people needed to see. That makes you feel better about owning him again, whether he's your SP three,
r SP four, um, whatever it might be. Greg, something that stood out to me and we should talk about it now, especially in deeper leagues if he's available, letting us Diaz. I find him interesting because Josale two days on the injured list and let Us Diez is playing well right now and he's batting in the middle of
a really good lineup with the Houston Astro. So if you play in the deeper league, you're playing an al only league, or you're playing a fifteen team, makes you need a middle infielder for maybe the next week or two, or if you're the Josale two owner, you just want to handcuff it. Lett M d s. Greg. I think it's a really sneaky pick up right now, Diaz, all right, sure listen, Sure it was good Louis for half a year. Yeah,
half year. I mean I had him throughout that whole time and for that streak, for that and it was a long streak where he was really good. I thought he was gonna be something, So I'm not against it. You know, can we address the elephant in the room un initials ms Malex Smith, I don't see an issue. I wrote on my Patreon yesterday that if you play in a twelve team league, UM, I would recommend putting like seven to nine percent of your fab on him.
So being being pretty aggressive, and a few people in the chat today are are talking about picking up Alex Smith, and a couple of people tweeting me talking about picking up Alex Smith. Absolutely raking in the minors since he's gone down. He has like eight stolen bases, he's hitting over at three fifty. The Mariners sent Brandon Bishop back down to the miners yesterday. All indications seemed that Alex Smith is gonna be up today or in the very
near future. So again, like what I said about him at the time when we you know, got into a shouting match over Alex Smith, is I think he's a legitimate hitter, Like, is he a you know, three fifty hitter, Is he like a batting top? No? But can he be a two seventy hitter serviceable? He's much better than the sub two d batting average we saw early on season, and he's one of the fastest guys in the league. And the Mariners just, you know, what are they playing for?
They need to find ways to generate offense. I think they're just gonna let him and d Gordon. D Gordon who could be back at some point who didn't land on the I l I think they're just gonna give these guys, you know, free, free reign on the basis. So if Alex Smith is out there and you need stolen basis or just a five outfit of the league, just pick this guy up anyway, even if you don't
meet him. If you play in the league where stolen bases are a thing, you should pick this guy up because once he comes back and he performs well, even if you don't need him, you could just trade him away. Remember this was a guy being drafted at the top forty outfielder this year. Venture Yeah, and listen, you're picking up both the waivewise. But what's really interesting is it's
and you guys have a bet. Yeah, I think I think he's gonna be up in the next I think he's gonna be up either by the or getting real close, so they do. Yeah, all I have to do is survival one series. I think you could do it. It's just have to survive this one series and most of the like when he gets called up on Friday, when it's like six or seventeenth whatever it is Thursday. Oh, and you know what, I'll also bring this up to Greg. Something else I noticed over the weekend. Oh good thing
you didn't see me, because many expletives going on. Almost ripped my hair out. A man by the name of Daniel Murphy. Again, where's Daniel Murphy? Everybody? Only five games this week too. I'm benching him in the least where I own him. I'm benching him. I'm benching him for Ronnie Rodriguez. Ronnie Rodrigue who had two bombs on Saturday. And when I mean bombs, this guy hit a four hunder fifty ft bombs like the upper deck and target field. The guy crushed it. He is getting it done right now.
He's hitting the ball hart putting it in the air. He's a smaller dude for a middle infielder. He packs a lot of punch. He plays seven games this week. Daniel Murphy plays five games. They're all on the road, and I believe he faces three lefties. Yeah, Bud Black, I don't know what's going on and stuff like, Look, there might be something going on under under you know, under the radar that we don't really know about. Maybe
Daniel Murphy's still dealing with an injury. Most likely, Maybe they really just they don't want to push him too hard because he just came back from an injury. And I know he kind of had something about like a back discomfort last week, so they might not just be not pushing him too hard. But is it a coincidence that every time he gets rest it against a left handed picture? Is this guy just a platoon player at this point? He came in yesterday against a lefty with
basses loaded, hit a pinch hit, basically double venture. I'm mentioning him this week. If you own Daniel Murphy, are you mentioned him? I don't, but um I would, yes, Yes. I think Bud Black games are on the road, and I believe three of them against the lefty. So I think Bud Black's having a tough time managing this lineup. Why do I still have three lefties and five games? Greg? You might only get three or four games out of Danie Murphy this week? Why do I still own Ryan McMahon.
I dropped someone? You know my friends text me yesterday? Can I drop Ryan McNett. He didn't well yesterday, actually did all right? I don't know. It's like he's still sitting sometimes in favor from Garrett Hanson against lefties, overalls performing even when he plays against Wrighty's. He had all home games last week, still didn't perform. Look if you need to win, if you're starting to fall behind, I'm two and four. I can't afford to have these guys

Eight hundred nine six one thirty six thirty one, eight hundred nine six one thirty six thirty one, eight hundred nine six one thirty six thirty one, eight hundred nine six one three six three one Fantasy Sports today. The red Sox ferry came of a you know, when did
this happen? Right? I mean they're averaging, uh in the last eleven games somewhere a little little over six runs per game. Uh. So I think that they're talked about, you know, the Rays being there all year long, Yankees hanging on, you know, even though all their injuries. But let's not forget about the Red Sox Saturday's eight am Eastern on the Fantasy Sports networking on your popular podcast Providers, It's funny that you mentioned elephants in the room, Frank,
and you mentioned Malex Smith Daniel Murphy. You don't mention the real elephant we haven't talked about yet, and that's the massive injury to Tyler Glass. Nights think and Chris, we were putting Tyler Glass Now in that top tier category with some of these really really good pictures. You were all in and I didn't see that one coming. Can't predict injury gets forearms strained to Tyler a Glass now on Friday night, I believe, and we comes out
over the weekend. It looks like there is no significant damage, which is a good news, but he is going to be out for four to six weeks with that forearm strain. Will obviously talk to UM dr A about that. But crushing blow. If you even running Tyler Glass now, you obviously um give me the timetable. You look at the All Star break for Tyler Glass now and you wonder if he's the same guy when he comes back. That's always the question mark. That you're gonna have will he
find it again? That sucks, Chris, especially with a young guy who was just starting to, you know, harness his skills. It's tough. But listen, when if you own him right, the only thing you can do is il stas him. At least you can I l stas him. Pick somebody else up if you have which you know, you can't
drop him. You can't do obviously, you can't him. Might be a nice little opportunity if you're playing a Dynasty league and you're in a rebuilding year right now, to try and buy low on Tyler Glass now something that I would look into doing. Um, yeah, he's dealing with the forum training. At least he didn't have to have any surgery he has shut down. It looks like a four to six week timetable. A lot of people were asking, well, you know who's gonna get the call for Tampa Bay?
Is there gonna be some significant call up? And I don't know that there is, because Brent Honeywell has had a setback and he hasn't pitched yet and he's still working his way from Tommy John surgery, Brendan McKay, who is there like Shohyotani esque prospect in the minors where he's a d H but he's also a left handed pitcher. He's only in Double A, and his e t A is more so next year than this year. I don't
think they're gonna rush him. The only one that I could think of if you're playing a deeper league ale only you want to stash him for now. Former top prospect also coming back from Tommy John Surgery Greg and that's Jose daily Own. I was never really a big fan of his um. There just wasn't enough strikeout stuff there for me. But he's already made a few starts in the miners and he's probably the next man out.
Like realistically, they probably just go with more opener strategies and they'll use Ryan Yarbro, and they'll use Janni Torinos and Jalen Beaks. But if there is a prospect that you just want to keep your eye on, it's Jose dal Leon. So did da Leon come back from home time as John Surgery as you mentioned the name that that I thought would get called up, and I'm trying to see how he's been in the miners this year.
Shane very very bad. I thought Jacob Frio would be the guy because you know, he had some prospects, had agreed, a lot of people were really excited about him. Yeah, it was last year right that he that there was a shine on him. And he's two years ago, I think when he got called up originally and that's when he was dominating last year think drafted. But there's that's what I'm saying. Going into last year, there was there
we shine on him. People liked it. He was bad last year, got option triple A, started the year in Triple A. This year he's been awful caper and has been excellent, but the ear as over seven right now in TRIPLEED. It's been very bad. Yeah, So Jose daily yone is pitching at high A ball right now through two starts, he has at three point eight. Is that
rehab in high A ball or that's just where he is? No, that's rehab because he was much further along than this, Like he was on the precipice of like being a major leaguer before he he had to get Tommy John surgery. Like this was a guy who was consistently in Triple A already. So John to rehab assignment kind of similar to what you know mcguest to know was doing where he started in high A. Then he's gonna work his way up to double A. He starts there, starts to
triple A. Um uh. I saw projections on CBS for him as early as this week. I don't know that he's gonna be back this week, but he was someone else that I also wrote about all my Patreon that if he's available in your twelve team league, he is. He's Joey Gallo with the injury prone label. That's that's who he is. Like if you look at his bad
ball profile, he hits the ball extremely hard. Since he's I'm into the league is hard hit rate is fourth highest in baseball, So since it's heart of there's only three hitters that are ahead of him in terms of his hard hit rate that would be That would be JD. Martinez, Trevor Story, and Paul Gelschman. So he's in a good company. You know, he hits the ball really hard, adventure but
struggles with strikeouts. So very similar to Joey Gallo. Joey Galloa have a low batting average but gives you a lot of pop. I've admittedly always been a Miguelson no supporter, but he's a knucklehead man. It's he either has something going on off the field or injuries. Again, he hurt his heel celebrating in the Dominican League when they won the championship. Your job is to be ready for your
real job for the Minnesota Twins. I know that you love playing, and you're playing in other leagues in the off season. All right, I get it. You wanna you want to hone your skills, you want to get better. That's fine, but that's how you hurt yourself. He's just a knucklehead man. But I've always been a big supporter of mcguelson. No, I think the talent is there. The talent is definitely there. The power is real. Like you know, obviously Gallo. I think Gallows obviously maybe a better version
of him because the walk rate for Gallo is better. Uh. I just don't I can't buying into a snow right now. The injuries coupled with the mental capacity, I'm afraid of snow. Uh. If I'm really hurting at third base or whatever, I'm hurting at a position, maybe I'll take a chance on it in a fifteen team or maybe even twelve teamer, But you know, I got Michael Chavis something like that. You know, I'm not looking at it that way, you know, I'm just not. I'm worried about him, Like I need
to see stuff first, you know what I mean. I want to see him on the field doing his thing right, he's should that be higher? Probably? Yeah? In this juice ball, I mean, this is the guy who could come back five home runs the rest of the way. It wouldn't surprise me. You mentioned Michael Chavis, who had a good day yesterday, but he was on an over slump. He
got very cold. What's gonna happen? What I was gonna say was when a guy gets cold like that, you're nervous about him being pulled out of the line up, something happening. And they stuck with him the Red Sox, which I was very good, yes, and he you know, maybe he's coming back out of it. And it's good to see that sign too. And his numbers overall, right, so you knew he was gonna struggle a little bit with strike out strikes out twenty six point seven percent
at a time. But vent for something that you always hang your hat on. And I agree with this. If you're a young player and you strike out a lot, at least be able to walk a lot. And that's exactly what Michael cha Case does. He has a sixteen point three percent of walk great, which is just massive. It's huge for a young player. Yeah, I'm all over. I mean, you know, I jumped on a merarly third
base second base eligible. Um young has that high ceiling that you cove it especially and keep his leagues and uh, you know he was so hot at the time, and this is also the great theory. You know, you grab him right away, grab the guy that's hot now. So you got him hot now at the time, which was, you know, a couple of weeks ago. I would still dive into him even though he cooled off a little bit. I think he's got the capability if he could keep
that walk great up. He's got the play discipline and the mentality so you know, not keep long cold streaks going even though he cas a lot. Right. We spoke about Daniel Murphy and benching him In a five game week, Michael Javis also has a five game week. All the five games are at home, but some tough matchups here has to face For Man Marquez not the easiest task has to face Garrett Cole, Corbin Martin, Brad Peacock. And it's only five games. Are you leaving Michael Javis in
your lineup? I think so, yeah. I don't know. The other option is obviously, but in the one league where I own Michael Javis, twelve team home league, I'm leaving Michael Javis in there. I'm starting him over to Daniel Murphy. Daniel Murphy on the bench, I'm leaving Michael Javis in there. At least I know he's gonna play right how many Murphy and three of them against lefties? So if he even gets benched for one, you looking at a four game,
it's crazy. He's Danie Murphy throughout his career, hasn't always been He's not bad against lefties. That's why I'm wondering if there's something underlying right now. I spent all weekend trying to trade away. What do I say on Friday when I was freaking out, or Thursday, rather, I was shopping gian Carlos Stanton from this team for everybody Franks going nuts. I'm two and four, so in a head to head, Lee, I don't want to fall too far behind. Yeah, so I'm trying to get anything that can help me
right now. I offered up a few trades. I offered like Stanton and mikel Franco for Anthony Wrendoon. I thought it wasn't a terrible trade offer. You get a third baseman and then you'll get Stanton whenever he's back. I offered Stanton straight up for Zach Wheeler. I think he's actually thinking about that, and it's not happening as of now.
And then I almost did Stanting for glass Now, but but thank god the the opposing owner backed out, because man if I would have done that, I would I would have just probably just threw in the flag, you know, through in the early towel on this team and been like, all right, it's not meant to happen. You know, if if you trade for class now and he gets hurt, it's not meant to happen. So the guys downstairs, right,
they traded away uh Corey Club for Stanton. They got Stanton back, and then Club immediately and Stanton, We're still not not getting any updates. So you don't don't even really know what's going on. I thought I did read up Stanton like something someone positive. I haven't seen anything on speaking speaking injuries. Is something else we're gonna ask.
You asked not that last week, but Durant, him and Durant because the NBA, Durant is out for Game one of the Western Conference Finals that will be tomorrow night. He he is not being re evaluated until Thursday. Game two is Thursday. It seems unlikely he plays Game one or two. We'll see what happens after that. Greggy, it's a sad day here in New York City. What's going on? It is no longer happy Talkman day. Talkman has been
optioned ready to activate Aaron Hicks. So not that I think anyone was rostering Talkman outside of maybe a only leagues if you start five we Talkman in the pit league for a while. But yes, he was. We were. We were talking with Sandro about this yesterday. We were trying to figure out who's yankee that's gonna get sent down. So it ultimately ends up being Talkman man. You know, if you had Aaron Hicks on your I l looks like he's ready to throw back in your wine up.
But Tyroll plays the infield, right, Yeah, And he's versatile. You could play like second and shortstop two kind of a Mayban survives this, yes, so I don't. The thing is, I don't think Cameron Mayban has options. He doesn't, so I think you either d F A M or well they probably just like the having that kind of speed
element of sense makes sense. It does. So now the I feel to be Aaron Hicks with Cameron Mayben as like they might use them against lefties and bench like grand Gardner or something like that makes sense, and you know they'll they'll give Aaron Hicks a few days off here and there early on, so they don't want to push them too hard right away. That's another kind of frustrating situation. Not to the same level as Bud Black, but the Yankees are a team that's, you know, very
careful with their players. They give guys off, it seems like more than other teams you know they get they give more regular days off. So so now the Yankees missing in action or the quarner of the quarner out fielders there there Ace and their prior reliever. Alright, so outside of talkaman, who's gonna be sacrifice next greag the next one to get hurt. Was dealing with the elbow thing already. Yes, yeah, Luke Boy's duty get her too, alright,
So it's in the next two I hope. But we'll put in for like the Yankees death pool, you know, injured list. He might still be hurt. Man. Yeah, the guy's doing nothing right, nothing. Maybe he wants to my third base. Maybe that's what it is. He's not, he said the agent. No, it would be I know, but stating by the way, limited to still so off to us and tea work. He could be cleared to hit off a machine soon if he experiences but no real time. It was the same update we had last year. So
it's just crazy. There's just nothing going on with saying there's no you know, timetable for it. It's just hopefully soon. Someone else who's dealing with an injury right now, Nelson Cruise dealing with got hit yesterday on his wrist. He's gonna get an m R I today. I'd probably get him out of my lineup just to be safe, because I don't know if he's gonna miss any time or not.
It kind of seems like he's gotta missed at least sometimes. Yeah, so worth mentioning Nelson Cruz and it sucks because the Twins play seven games this week too. So I picked up c J Crew c J Crowne in one league just because, um, they have seven games and it seems like the playing time is gonna be pretty safe, especially if anything is going on with Nelson Cruzy. Uh. Speaking of old widely veterans, Kendri's Morales was released today by
the Oakland Athletics. More Cana was activated off the I l Obviously Matt Olsen is back as well, so that would be the end, it seems for maybe for good. Yeah, yeah, that's unfortunate for for Kendricks Morales. We'll see if if a you know, one of these other younger teams, it's just like throwing out like really bad players, if they just kind of need a bat in the line of first base. Yeah, maybe, who knows. You see what happens. But yesterday Martine Perez also got hit by a line
drive in the foot. He was taken out right after that is expected to make make his next start. Now I own him in a few leagues. Did you watch the start because he's here, I was not watching it completely. I was watching Corbin Martin yesterday, and then I was listening to the Yankees and John Sterling with the with the air pods, So that's what I had going on. I was listening to the Yankees, I was watching Corbin Martin. But I did see that he gave up three runs
and five innings. He came out for the sixth. If you would have made it through that with a quality start, you're right with it. You're fine with it. Ultimately, I did want better results against the Tigers, not really a lineup that I'm scared off. You get seven cases. He got crushed by Cassianos twice yesterday. He gave up a two roun homer to Castanos, gave up gave up a double to him. So it seems like that was the guy who's really having a lot of What were we
saying that he had? Was it him who he said it hasn't really given up a home run yet and he was due to give up some homers or is it someone else? Because I kind of expected, uh, it might have been Domingo Herman and homers on Friday nights. But I bring up Martine Perez greg because while he's expected to make his next start, you don't know for sure, So to weekly lineup right now, I'm playing it's safe.
In my weekly line up, I have him on the bench, but he's going up against Seattle, which is a lineup that's cooling off, and I really I would want to get him in there, but I just worried that he's might have some kind of setback or something randomly and and he doesn't get to start here. Would you would you do if you own Martine for Rez Grady I have. I have turned Bowling the line up right now going up against Oakland, and I have Merrill Kelly. I picked
him off. I know he's been up and down. He faces San Francisco this week at home, and Merrill Kelly has been much better at home. He's got like a low three z r A at home and an eight or a over six on the road. I like the bull man. I'd probably start. I need to win. I'm two and four, so that's why I don't want to take any risks of getting zero. Only one of those guys, one of those three. I have to start two of
those three. I also have Tyler Malley on the bench, but he's going up against the Dodgers in great American Small Park, and I have you Darvish at the Reds and I'm not starting I think I would start bulling Merrill Kelley. That's what I have in right now. Yeah, I mean, he wasn't great over the weekend, um, but still five and two thirds runs. Like he's keeping the runs down. He's he's finding a way to get out of all these jams that he gets himself into, rightfully.
So he had four walks on Saturday. He also had a hit by pitch, so he was a little bit wild. That happens at times with him. Um, you know, he's had to four walk games in his last four starts, so he's a little whild at times, but he gets the strikeouts. He had six strikeouts and five and two thirds and his pitch overall he's been pretty good. But yeah, I mean, I just really needed to get that that
quality start. And he's going up against the Oakland A's this week and they've been without Chris Davis and overall their lineup just hasn't been great. With the last seven days, the Oakland A's have a six thirty two OPS as a team. That's twenty seven and baseball so that's what I'm looking at here, what do we want to do and we had some decisions to make ours. What would that be great? Uh? We storry Eric Thames has seven games, right, yeah, this is something that we we have to figure out.
And Aguilar as well, what do we have Austin Meadows on our bench who only plays five games? But I think you just gotta get him in there because he's all just rips, he's awesome, all right? So yeah, how many games probably put him in for Eric the Thames because ultimately they're probably end up playing the same amount of games every same day he's missed. He hasn't started two out of lest four games. I mean, that's what
you kind of expect from him right now. We knew that coming into the season has started to heat up a little bit. Three four, five six, that's pretty good for him. Over the past seven days he is betting three fifty three no homers, but five ribbies and over during that same span, um, Eric Thames adding two seventy three with only one ribby. So and let's see over the last two weeks three sixty four, so showing signs of coming around a little bit. We just need a
little bit more pop that's what we'll take. We'll take here if you're out there listening, Frank Council, if you're out there listening, We'll take more strike outs from Hayeglar if it will give us more power back. We like the Hay from last week. It was a near thirty strike out right, but also give us thirty home runs, which is that's what we want. We started a five days, five game week. Any das five games or Erik Tetrick six games. Let's talk about Okay, left is Derika basis two.
So basically it's a four game week for Derrik t. There it is. We'll wrap up the show right after this. Maid Sailors is the leading cleaning service in New York City and Boston. So I got a trade offer in my DM just now. So when slid in and wanted us to talk about it, a trade right here,
go Clint Kershaw. It's a big one. Clint Kershaw, Paul gold Schmidt, Wilson, Can Saris, and I don't have any other information I want. I'm giving and a six round pick and Charis Goldschmidt Kershaw in a sixth round pick for Jean Carlos, Stanton, Peter Alonso, Wilson Ramos and I as soon as it's Justin Turner, Justin Turner might be, but I'm assuming it's just pretty mamendously. I'm gonna assume it's Justin Turner and a third round pick. Ten team league.
He's in ninth place, which one is? You get Ramos? I'm not in it. Oh, this is nothing than me, didn't Kershaw Wilson in a six in a sixth round pick for Stanton, Peter Alonso, Wilson Ramos and Justin Turner and a third round pick. Alright, so let's let's break this down. Alonso, Let's go by position Alonso for Goldie. That's a wash, I said, Goldie wins that. Well, it's it isn't keep his legal So that's what we don't know too, is this I assume if there's drafting because
the sixth round pick. Alright, so keep Really you'd rather have Alonzo than Goldie, and I mean you're much rather have Wilson and Treris and Wilson Ramos m H. And then it's Stanton versus Kershaw. It seems like it's kind of a wash right now, depends on what you need, but I think they have similar value. Chris was performing very well, but is he gonna be able to keep that up in a keeper league? And then you get Justin Turner too and a third round pick end the
third round pick on that side. So it's tough because you're you're in ninth place right now. Saton's not gonna help you right away. But what's around, what's around was the intensivelyst droppable by the way intensively what's around was droppable for who though like Mitch Garver, one of those guys, James McCann, whatever, of those guys like, you know, if you were able to turn it around, he's better than
those guys, sure, no doubt. But to eight he hit it with like twelve home runs the rest of the way. Right now, I leaned with in a keeper league the Peter Alonso side, because you get up the third round pick too, so you get the better pick. So it's Alonzo Ramos, it's standing Peter Alonso, Wilson Ramos and Turner. We don't know if this Justin Turner or a trade Turner that obviously changes it tremendously, right. I mean either way, Justin Turner is a really is a really good player.
He could help you now. He maybe be able to help you for the next couple of years, and keeper league um Turner obviously has much higher upside for longer term. To get a third round pick instead of a sixth he's giving the way the six kid. He's in ninth place, right he's he's giving the curse off side. I think we should just say, like what he is on the
Kershaw side, So he owns those players. Okay, he's in ninth, so he's giving he's getting a better pick, getting a better pick, He's getting better keepers for his baseman of the future. I think he probably makes this move. He's a ninth place right now, he gets the third round pick, and he's Peter Alonso, who's a better keeper than anybody else. The keepers that he's getting back I think are worth it in the third round pick. So he also has
the gun. He continues DM me, that's how heey getting more information the gram and said, all right, yeah, so that makes Kershaw a little bit more expendable. Fact that he has the groundin sale. I just don't like, I'm okay with the giving away the Contreras and get Ramos back, because I know contres is absolutely much better right now. But I still think, like I'm with you, I think Ramos can turn this around and it could be more even you know, we we have enough of a sample size.
When it comes to Wilson. Ramo said he's a good ballplayer. He should be better than this, and he has familiarity with the and at least he played for the Nationals, he's played for the Phillies. He should be better, right And that was on him coming into the year. So I have a few shares, so I still have been suffering. Yeah, I'm so faring with you. I got him in two teams, so the gold Schmidt is the one that I I wish, but I guess you gotta give Pete Alonso might already
be better than gold Smith. As crazy as it is to say, like I don't want to write off goalie or anything, he's still a really good player, but put them side to side. Right now, pet Along has been better and moving forward in the future, if it's a keeper league, he's going to continue to get better or at least be this good, whereas Goldschmidt is going to
start to decline. Uh but yeah, that's the thing. The third pick over the sixth pick you got standing in there, you got you know, and their turn in the third round picking a ten team league venture, you're gonna get a really good play. So that's the big win there, and you gotta you gotta win with Stanton as a little bit of a keeper for the future, you know, the rest of his career. If you want, I would make I would turner. I think is though, is you know,
no noble and void in this trade. It's a keeper's legue or dynasty. Amazing. He's older, you know, and he's also injury prone. Sure, so that's why I think that's a kind of a nun void part of the trade. When he's healthy, he's easily a topic. But this kid's obviously looking for the future, not win now because he's the ninth place. So justin turns a win now guy. All right, So I mean you get another asset and return then maybe closer to the trade deadline you have
him for more. You know. Maybe I do like the Alonso part, the stand part. Yeah, they're around pick do it I would do it. We're all together on this, all together. I do that. That's a big trade, A monster, big one. Greggy, Right, what else are we got here? Um? We had some other questions that I think when we running through and ask that's that's right? Fun last coole minutes? All right? Would you drop Christian Walker for C J. Crone?
I don't. As much as I like Walker, I don't have any shares of him, so I don't really know what he's been up to. The batting average down to two eighties six? Um, d backs play how many games to this safe place? Six? Yeah? I mean they're probably similar players at this point. It seems like Christian Walker slowing down a little bit. You get that extra game of c. J. Crow it's kind of a wash, negligible, but I like walk up better. Yeah he does more doubles. Uh,
he's still he's got three bags. But like you know, Crohn does one thing, it's homers another wrong homers. I know it's not wrong homes. But to Minnesota, Uh slightly. I think Arizona could hit. Yeah, it's close. I'm alright, but if you're the guy already holding Walker, you know, like I don't want to kind of a lateral move. It's a lateral move. What do we have next? Cree Hits had category leagues Jose Bettios for Walker Bueller and Jose Cantana. If you need the starting picture depth, I
don't have a problem with it. Walker Bueller has past couple of starts. He looked really good. I was watching some of that on on Saturday night, Graig Walker Bueller against Max Scherzer. It was a sick game to watch. So this is Donald para hit. I think it might have been a pinch hit brands Land to take the lead in that game. It was crazy. It wasn't off Walker Buller. Though Bugler was awesome in his last couple
of starts. He's looked a lot more like himself. So if you need starting picture depth, I have no problem Burrios to get Bueller and Kantana. This is this is a classic depth you know, quality verse quantity thing. You know, trade quality for quantity, but you're also quality. It's almost as good as Barrios. I wouldn't say that Burrios is really good. Barrios is the best pitcher in the league
right now. I mean, let's be serious, is he the best pict a good spot because he plays in the American League Central and he doesn't have to face his own team, so I guess to face the Indians that twins the White Sox. It's a good spot to be
in for sure. But I agree with you. You're getting Bueller, the upside is possibly a Barrio, so you're getting You're also getting Quantana, who's good, not great, but you know whatever, the solid sp four, so you're getting depth, and you're getting a guy that could be, you know, on the Burrios level eventually. So I like it. I would do it. I mean, I don't know, to keep his league though he was league, I wouldn't do it. I would hold
onto Burrios tight height. Yeah, but Walker Bueler is still super young too, I know, but I'd want more than that, all right. I mean Burios is proving himself as an elite ace right now. You know in a keepers league that's hard to find. It is. Sure, its Bios very good. Um, that's one. Pat Fagan in our chat, Carlos Correa and Zach Wheeler for Matt Chapman, Dansby Swanson, Marcus Stroman. That doesn't seem very fair. Say it again, Matt Chapman, Dansby Swanson,
Marcus Stroman for Carlos Correa and Zach Wheeler. Mm hmm, Raya Wheeler says much better. I mean, you'd have to have like a really bad third baseman. I want to make this deal. That's why you're getting Matt chat Wheeler, in my opinion, is much better than Marcus Stroman. It hasn't been the case yet this year, but stroman got upside is much higher than Almans. What was the other guy? The last guy there? And Dan's by Swanson who's like
whatever replacement level shortstop m No. I mean, look, I don't want to downplay he's been pretty good this year. He's cool a lot. But I do like Matt Chatman lock right. I think it's a little bit closer than you're you're leading on, But I would rather have the Cliparaean Wheeler side fair enough? What do you venture? Would you drop Rugenette Odor for you also? Know? Um? Yeah, I mean if you just need if you just need power.
I mean they both have upside. Both kind of should struggle with batting average, but Odor has a little bit more stolen based potential. So I guess it comes down to what you need if you just need power on the right making that move, Getilson knowing you're not scared that old door. Could it sent back down or you can't get to down. Actually yeah, because he's been one thirty, it's bad. But you know what, Greg, for the first two months last year he sucked too. You know, from
June on he was great. That's why I really streaky guy. I get it. It's tough, especially if you're playing a head to the head league where you need consistency. He's one of these guys where in Rhodo at the end of the season he could easily, you know, get that batting average up too, you know, to fifty by the end and then kind of like what he did last year. But I I did have higher expectations for him. I don't know if it's the fact that he got hurt.
He's striking out a lot more this year. He made huge strides last season in that second half, and it's just it hasn't carried over a rugy. Yeah, I felt for the improvement of a year old players, but he could still turn it around. He can't. It's just like his range of outcomes is so far because last year to homes twelve soon on basis, that's pretty good year
for that. He's a thirty home runs and fifteen stolen basis, but it's two oh four, so his range is like he's gone as far as low as two oh four batting average for an entire season, as high as two seventy one. He has two thirty home run seasons under his belt, he has three double digit stolen basis seasons under his belt already, and he still only twenty five. So that's why, like the upsides, it's handsallizing in the Texas Rangers lineup in that ballpark. How's his walk rate
this year? It's it's around where it was last year, so seven points, and last year was eight percent. In every other season it was below five. So he's still walking more than he has in the past. It's not like he doesn't walk a ton, but he's still walking more than he did early on in his career. But he has a thirty eight percent strikeout rate. That's the bigger problem for him, right If you have such a big strikeout rate, you need to have a high walk
rate because you don't have that plate discipline. You could easily bat one thirty like him you can easily fall off the map. So it's dangerous. It's a dangerous game with guys who don't do that. You want to see good play this mons, So if you see that growing a little more and maybe he could turn it around. But like, this guy is gonna not a guy who hits for the average. It's very hard to get a
lot out of him. He's gonna be I mean, what I was expecting from him is if you give me twenty five and fifteen with a too fifty batting average, like I can, I can? You know I could take that batting average. That's fine, m m. But I was expecting a nice little power speed combination here. He does have three homers, three soleing bases, and only twenty five games because he missed time. But overall, big disappointments so far from Odor, it's been it's been for Odor. Did
you miss Odor? Oh no, no, no? Do you think rude? Odor watched the Game of Thrones and he watched that scene. He's like, Hey, that's me, I do I do? I'd like to think that probably not whatever, Well, we'll just believe it. I'm not sure if he could watch that show. Chris, I didn't ask you, um, what really happens next week
in the in the show? Yeah, um, I think that it's pretty This would be the obvious thing, though, John Snow, I think he ends up killing Danny and he ends up taking the throne and everybody's happy because you know, a really good persons on the throne. I doubt that's gonna happen. I think that might happen, but that seems to predict something crazy. Yeah, that seems too predictable. Something's gonna cue it in a different direction. Somebody else is gonna be on the throne. I want to see, John,
there's very few trailers. Last night you normally get something. Oh so sure, that was like ten seconds of nothing. They can't Yeah. What I don't understand is you saw it last night, like all these all at the doth Racky and you saw all the Yeah, they're als would be dead. Then the Whites killed them. Yeah, how are I don't know how they have so many left again? Rocked them all out all back, especially doth Ray. Yeah, that went dark and only like ten came back. Maybe right.
So I was like, wait, the first thing I said when I saw'm like where these dut racking come from I was. I was saying that to myself as well. That was ridiculous. The first thing I thought, Yeah, it is. The Goblin Company was a disaster, so dumb. They just got destroyed for nothing, building up for nothing, unbeatable, Army Sta have a finger. Harry Strickland goes down. Yeah, I might have our our next sacrifice. Jonathan Loiza Scratch tonight
receiving the nod instead Man's Eliza. Eliza has had injury issues entire career. No reports indicating that Loizaca is dealing with an injury. It's expected that he's still we'll still be available out of the pen the series opener, So maybe they're doing like an opener. Maybe Louise it says, won't make his schedule start money else it happens. We hope, all right, we hope. Let's take a break. When we come back tomorrow, they have a whole lot more talk about.
That's so, I was like, great, it's the end of the show. Understand. Had to make sure it's sure. It's Frey Standford, I'm Greg Saucer. We'll do it all go tomorrow, we hope,
