listening to the Fantasy Sports Radio Network. Did me just become best friends? Fantasy best Friends forever? Our number two Fantasy best Friends Forever, Fantasy Sports Radio Network. Great job, great spot by Michael Florio, who we hope to have on each and every Friday with us. For the first hour, I thought it was a great great out by Florida breaking it down, helping us out what we learned from day number one. Now to give us waiver wire claims and break down the rest of the games with Frank

and myself. It's the closer. Chris Metscher, what's up? Chris? What's up? Guys? What's up? What's up? It's your boy? Like that much better? How about Rockies? Had on as you like them? You know? What is a terrible feeling, Greg, looking down at your score in your home leagues in the first day and you're getting crushed. Specifically, the reason why you're getting crushed is you faced Eric Loer, I Freeland and Brad Keller. Yeah, I mean, does it get

worse than that? Really? Well, it's had toy own in my lineup. I went through Freeling into the mix with Lour and Keller. Though he's better than those guys, sure, but but it's still I know, like those three starting pictures of the ones that crushed me on opening Day, I didn't. They're all good matchups. Like, I can't talk the guy for starting him, for sure, it makes sense. I wouldn't start Lour or Keller, though I wouldn't against

the Giants. I would start you against the Kians if you were pitching against well in my voice, thoughting tonight against in the pit league. By the way, I faced scherzer, Stroman bum Garner and Loaur from who Steve Sam say he was showing me his pitching in the middle of days. I'm crushing, Greg, what do you what do you think of this pitching? You got four quality starts on opening day? He did? It was awesome four starts. But like our pitching, like my ear a is only point six, Lesson is

one point three, two to one point two. Who do you have go? I had Verlander and Tanaka in this league. Cry and he got and he got and he was great. Yesterday he was Yeah, he was awesome. My hitting is also great. Three sixty four and a good day yesterday in the pit league. And we hope to obviously continue on tonight. Is no baseball, Frank, today, as you very well know, no day baseball. Second day of the baseball

seat great, embarrassing. Let's continue on with stuff that we learned from yesterday, and let's go to Philadelphia where Bryce Harper's for his day worked out well for the Phillies. I mean necessarily so much for Bryce, but really really great for the Phillies, a ten four victory over ye boy Julio tehrans Heron allowed three runs in five innings, four hits, seven strikeouts, Aaron Nola Nolan an interesting day, guys.

I'll start with you, Frank, six innings, two hits, one run, eight case and I told you that it's a great day. Love it. Walk five walks on the day for Aaron Nola. What do you think about that? Yeah, I think that's a little shaking off the rust here. For Aaron Nola, not really worried about it, kind of uh, in the same camp as Blakes now. I still think he'll be

really good. But yeah, for Aaronola, yesterday still had twelve swinging strikes through pitches through that curveball a bunch, which is what we're you know, used to seeing from him. A velocity seems uh, you know on par he was maxing out at ninety with the fastball yesterday. So I'm not really worried about Aaronola. I mean, it's something to pay attended to if he he's walking guys like at this race for the next couple of starts and he

starts to wonder, all right, what's going on here? We there? No, this isn't man that we're used to seeing from him. But it's only one start. He still ended up pitching pretty well overall anyway, so see what happens. I'm not gonna overreact one way or the other, but I think it's it is worth mentioning for sure. Five walks. It's not the normal friend. David robertson Chris pitches is the eighth inning of this game. At the time, they were homes at the Yeah, the time they were up right, Frank,

do I have that right? You have the box score right there. Yeah, they were already had ten runs scored through seven, so it was ten free at the time. They bring in Robertson in the eighth inning. Eight ten three ball games or anything to learn there, Chris roberts uh nine, it's ten three games? Yeah, right, So I think that's just you know, just getting him some usage. Okay, I don't think there's anything too much anything to think.

It's the eighth maybe Sir Anthony Domingez is the guy for the ninth potentially, is that something we need to know? I think it's impossible to know after one game. Again, it's worth bringing up. Look, he comes in in the eighth ending. It's not if it were like Willie pe Alta or Chapman, where they bring him in the ninth. You're looking at it like, Okay, maybe there's a situation again where they're trying to ease a closer in so

they bring Robertson in the ninth. But they do bring him in the eighth, So again it's definitely worth mentioning, let's see what happens. Maybe it's Sir Anthony Dominguez tomorrow night in the eighth night. So it's gonna it's gonna be fluid all year long with the Philadelphia Phillies. And we knew that. I mean, they don't have a set closer. We know Gabe Kapler is gonna play around with the matchups. And it reminds me a lot of the Twins. Greg.

If they have lefties coming up to they bring in a lefty reliever to try and close out the game, wouldn't surprise me either. That'd be crazy. Yeah, that'd be a little while. I mean, that's what the Phillies did all your last year. You know is who Gabe Kapitler is.

He gonna play the matchups. He's a huge analytics guy and huge in the sense of he's jack too from a hitting perspect and Edine mc cutcheon led off the game with a home run that was great for Art Team Frank um a Cutcheon you had Michael Frankie also great for Art Team Frank had a three run bombs that was and then Reese Hoskins goes yard on a grand slam. Their intentional walk to Bryce Harper. Harper in his Phillies debut winds up going over three. We did

have that walk and the run scored. Do you want to note for Atlanta, Ronald Kuna was batting clean up and still stole a base. Those that were concerned about that. Good to see Cunia still running out of the cleanup hole. Yeah. Absolutely. And look these Phillies, the two new guys McCutcheon and Segura getting it done, already paying off the most really do much. I think it's worth mentioning Julio Toronto. I found this tweet last night from bat Flip Crazy on

Twitter and tweets out some great stuff. Julio tron average three miles per hour on his four seam fastball. He averaged ninety miles per hour all of last year. So again what we've been talking about all day is normally early on in the season a picture is below their velocity from last year, and then they slowly rammed themselves up. Leo tront was already one mile per hour above where his average fastball velocity was last season, so it could

potentially get better. He was actually, he was really good in the spring. He was really good early on in this game, and then you ran into some trouble here. He also had fourteen swinging strikes, um, and he threw his slider a bunch yesterday. You know, nine swinging strikes, you know, thirty seven sliders that he threw. So Juyo Tehran interesting. It hasn't been great the past couple of years. But another one kind of similar to Marcus Stroman has my attention. I want to see if this is something

that becomes a trend with joy both yeah, both those guys. Stroman. You know, this is what I wanted to see from throw because I know he's got the potential to be a very good picture, and he showed you know, glimpses of that yesterday. He picked a really good game. So I'm definitely interested in Stroman, especially for dfest purposes. He's still gonna be cheap for a while until you know, he really gets it going. And uh, those four I like Stroman a little better. I think I do a

little bit at this point. Although the Ana last verse, the n least theoretically would be a little bit different. Speaking the nie, let's stay here and let's get into nats and mats and the game script went exactly how you'd expected to go. A fantastic game from Scherzer seven and two thirds, two hits, two runs, three walk, strikes out twelve nine pitches. On opening day, You're like, all right, Shots is ready and Jacob Degram six innings, five hits,

a walk, struck out, town allowed, no runs. Shots are basically gave up that leadoff home run to Robinson Canoe lead off home run, but first any home run to Robinson Canoe, and you thought and throughout the game that was all de Gram had to work with. He's used to having zero run support, gets the one run and keeps the Nationals off the board, and the game script

when exactly how you wanted it to go. If your met fan Lego and the seventh Familiar in the eighth Edwin Diz and the ninth absolutely perfect, perfect game script for the New York Mets. When I'm taking out of this other than the amazing picture performances by two of the best pictures in the game, it's gotta be trachat Turner. Guys, who's still not one not to three stolen bases off of Jacob Degram and Wilson Rolos yesterday, No Syndergard will be on the mount tomorrow and train turns to go nuts.

He may have atten stilemakes before the weekends of work. Seriously, and you know, you see one stolen base pop up. I get, actually get notifications from Twitter, Gregor anytime a player hits a home run or stolen base. So I get these notifications. She want stolen base from Trade Turner. I see a second stole on base from Trade Turner, and then oh wait, it's more. And then a third

stolen base opening day here for Trade Turner. And you know, I kind of likened it too when Ron Rivera said that Christian McCaffrey two completely different sports here, but I think they are parallels. When Ron Rivera said Christian McCaffrey was gonna touch the ball to thirty times in preseason football, we laughed. He scoffed at it. There's no way. Christian McCaffrey is not big enough. It's not gonna be a workhorse.

And I see football, well he was. And you know, we saw the report from Turner in the Nationals camp that he could potentially attempt seventy to eighty stolen bases. Starts moving up the board, moving up the board, a

lot of people started buying in. I don't know if I bought in because I didn't end up with any shares of Trade Turner, but maybe this is something we look at the end the season, and he does end up attempting seventy five to eighty stone bases, and you know, he's had a very good stolen based conversion rate in his career, so if he attempts seventy five to eight, he's gonna end up with sixty polt stolen bases this year. Yep.

And that's part of the reason why you know, I saw him go third overall in some drafts because you're playing in Rodo, you're playing for an overall to get sixty stolen bases, and he's not deficient in power. You know he'll give you eighteen to twenty homes and obviously gonna score a lot of runs in this lineup. It's hard not to be excited after just one game from Trade Turner, especially if you're listening and keep his leagues right. You got the stolen base, which is top of the

top of the line. You're not getting better at the stone base categories, right, and the power. I think he's still young. I mean, how old is twenty three four? Maybe? So the power could still develop, right, so the power could still develop into a homer guy. I guess to see that coming. But the team last year, okay, right, so you know, and he's still young in his career.

I think this is a guy that busy league you know you should target if I mean this year, if you if you got jumped on him, I think there's a great job because honestly, this is a guy you keep for years. He's a cornerstone player. Uh and you know, also gonna hit the average, so he's gonna get it done in every possible way for you. This guy possibly, So I think listen, I jumped on him in a lot of leagues. I have him a couple of places, So I think there's you can't miss with this guy

right now, right, I think it's worth mentioning. Going back to that Phillies game real quick. We got a few comments in the chat from a digital me on YouTube and said Phillies were only up three in the seventh when d Rob started warming up and then Reese Hoskins hit the Grand Slam. That's fine. That goes even further into what you were saying if they were only up three and they were warming him up in the seventh, he's a setup guy, correct Sir, Anthony Domingiez could be

the guy for that would be great. That's a question I have to ask though, Like, okay, so I'm a serr Anthony domingions own show. A lot of people all like, what do you do? Like a week one, I didn't plug him in because I didn't know if he had the opportunity, of course, right, and it's a long week too, so um, but like let's say, moving forward, we see him get a couple of saves out of reopportunities and

Robertson gets one. What do you do? You can't let You'll let this play out of the next week, right, Like as Frank said, I think you'll leave him in the line up no matter what. But you're talking about a points league, right, yeah, like a weekly So so I think we love the situation play out. It's day one, don't even he hasn't even pitched yet, So I think we let it play out. But right now I'm thinking good things here say definitely positive to see that really

good things we talked about one new year team. It's getting the other New York team, it's New York Yankees. Of course Yankees Mets are playing while we were on the area. Yesterday, the Yankees defeated the Orioles seven and two. Just misses out of the quality stary because bred Gardner played the ball terribly five and third, six hits, one turned run, struck out of five, didn't walk anybody's the first opening name to win of Tanaka's career, Andrew Kashner,

was particularly terrible. Four winning six runs were walks, three strike. Has struck out Greg Bird three times, I believe, and then he had a bomb. He struk out Bird two times. Um, and then he later hit a bomb, struck out one more time. UM. You got a glimpse of how the Yankees are gonna roll with their bullpen, with Adama being been to the fireman pitching like the sixth seventh row with patans Is out obviously, Zave Britain pitches the eighth

or all this, Chapman pitches the ninth. The Briton's velocity was down once again, and it was early. Didn't love that walk the platter out of the hit, and then yeah, he was struggling a little bit, got out of it on a dive by Labor Torres. Chapman's velocities. Chapleman's velocity has been down all spring and that continued yesterday as wellies on velocity as much as he does too. You said it's turtle, you said, this is when you're gonna see the v low down. Absolutely, but it's down even

more than it was last March April. So that's average. His max was his Men festival was. Yeah. A little worries about Chapman out of Vino, those that have the out of Vino shares. He was filthy yesterday. Maybe the guy you want to own there you might have the best slider in baseball probably does. I think in terms of just stuff in the bullpen, he's definitely like right behind Chapman. I mean, maybe even pushing Chapman now at

this point. But I think if anything were to happen, they probably would give it to Britain just because he has closing experience, not that I agree with that. What does in terms of procure stuff Adam out of I mean, he's he's right on earlist. Chapman's tale. Absolutely, he was absolutely fantastic yesterday. Now for the Yankees in the lineup, Gean Carlos Stanton and Aaron Judge do exactly you asked them to do. Get on base a lot. They each walked twice. Aaron Judge also had a couple of hits.

Are those two walks which I said, which to me says quite a bit like they being very very patient here. Yankees are traditionally painting. But the patient the fact that Judge Stanton avoid all walked twice in the middle of the order clearly making it very very tough on their opponent. Judge had the big blast, a three run bomb in the first inning. Greg Bird also homeward for this team.

If they're striking out three times, the boom birds were out for Greg Bird in this way, I think he did it against the lefty two right, Greg, That's what he needs get to see, was a lefty in order to hit a home run off the off the lefty Paul Fry. That's correct. Against Andrew Cashman, you strike out three times and then you see a left in the swing was just too long. Um, Every Yankee had a

hit in this lineup outside of Brett Gardner. For the Orioles you mentioned, if Frank Johnny VR batted third in this order to for four while trained Mancini Boom boom batty clean up, he went three for four. Those are the two big guys in the Orioles line up. Yeah. Shout out to our buddy Nick Pollock at Picture List. He does a morning podcast, pretty short fifteen minutes, kind of get you hugh up from the night before and get you set for the for the next day ahead.

And he was talking about how three man Sini. During draft season, someone over at Picture List was calling him a no Mar Mazara that you could get a hundred picks later. I see the comparisons right, like, it's not a good lineup, but that's why you got the discount of him. He probably gonna hit two sixty. You know, Homers had a good day yesterday, had three hits. So

that's Boom boom Mancini. And then with the Yankees lineup, this isn't anything you haven't heard before, but RBI opportunities in this lineup are going to be a plenty top to bottom because again they have so many players with patients. Judge walking two times, Stanton walking two times, Judge avoid walking two times, and it also hit by pitch so and Horror comes up fifth, Sanchez all the way down

to like Laboratories at eight. I mean, RBI opportunities are gonna plenty from top to bottom in this lineup, So it sucks that you won't get as many at bats from a guy like labor Maybe he moves up, but he's still going to see a ton of RBI opportunities. This might not see as many at bats as some of the other guys were hitting early, And it's good to see like and Har is going to be in a beautiful spot with all these walks of man yeah

in front of him. He's gonna have great opportunities. He's a guy that could you know, absolutely exploded to see in terms of ABIs maybe lead league um and then you got a void listen, voids looking like a steel where he's batting short. I didn't really expect him to the all of a sudden be batting forth and the heart of this lineup and just smashing like this walking

in baseball honestly clean up behind Stay. People don't want to pitch to Stanton and Judge, So I mean we can see a lot of Lukewoid coming up with man on first and second. You see could be a steel We'll take a break. When we come back. I want to get into Josh hit or his role from yesterday. Milwaukee and St. Louis. Will also hit on the Cubs in Texas where we haven't gone yet, Colorado, Miami, as well.

here's the Angels lineup. They got Calhoun, Trout, just Us and Board batting third, Angelton Simmons batting fourth, pool Holds five, co Sharts six, Las Stella seventh, Lucroix eight. You may disagree with me, and I know you said it's about the money. If I'm like Trout and that's my lineup behind me, I'm not happy. Trout seemed like a guy that was kind of loyal, liked it there, and decided to same thing week days to the four Bam Eastern on the Fantasy Sports Network and on your popular podcast.

Providers joined the experts live on the air every day by calling in. At April fourth, seven, nine to join the Fantasy Sports Network. Frank, I just discussing during the breaks going for his haircut tonight is through this air. So you have an idea, tweeted us. Let's know the YouTube chat at me. Let me know on the YouTube chat. So for my suggestion with a mohawk, I've had a bunch of different hairstyles. If you've been watching for years now, you know, like I've had the main bun, I've had

like over like I have had. I have had a red tail, I had a slick back. I don't know what to do next and short. I don't know what to do next. So let me know. Tweet at me or let me go. What kind of haircut should I get? Can I have a haircut like being on air? Why not? I've had a mohawk before too, but that was back. Frank, have you felt about going like pure bald? We're bald? Never crossed my mind. Not yet. I'm not. I'm not

ready for that yet. I mean, once I start to the hairlines were seating a little bit, Well, is it? I'm very I'm very realistic once it starts your No, it's not. That's why I'm saying his long hair yeah, the rock. That's why he was wearing a hat because massive party in the back, but not not a lot on top all season. What's just wear a different hat every hammer hat on there every day. I kind of do it. You know, you should get Frank, what about a nice tat right on the neck, right on the neck,

right there? You know what, Justin Bruney, who watched during the football snakes, don't call it a slip bag. That was straight Zorg, which is what they were calling me throughout the throughout the football season. They're from fifth Element not not a very good looking character now, so I don't think I should go back to that um. To me when they were calling me Sorg, I was like, who is this guy? I kind of want the kind of them. I'm doing the Billy Russ something. If you're

listening or watching right now, google Zorg. It's like, once they were calling me that, I'm like, all right, I can't do this. You should do the Billy or not wrong Frank, the Billy obviously Billy Russo punisher. I love Billy Russo. Yeah, I got that hiccut right now. Basically, I like your headcut right now. It's not I like your haircut right now, it looks good. I actually kind of have Billy Russell's hair in the second season, kind

of just like a crew cut, right. I've been watching the second season, by the way, you think people didn't like it. I like it, but there's not enough Billy Russo. I love Billy Russo. I need I need more Billy Russo. I need him get involves you Italians. Yeah, instead it's just him fighting with cop. Used to have hair like this first season, Billy Russo. That's what I had, like during the Whiteboard series last year. Great, it's what I had. Yeah,

something like this right, yeah, absolutely, flick back kind of thing. Sure, I don't know what to do. These these are these are the dilemmas that summertime. So you want to think, you know, before summer it's coming. Yeah, I know. So if you grow it, yeah, I don't know what careful growing it out of? You know, it gets hot with long hand. I've had a man butt in the summer. It's yeah. I wanted to get braids originally. I want

to get like to Jeremy Lynn type braids. Yes, I'm doing to work myself back up to that would kill me. You gotta do it before the wedding. I want, let me do it. What does you what do you gonna do the facial hair for the wedding? So probably just something similar to this, crushing it up. Yeah, what do you ever for your wedding? I go complete nothing. Yeah. I used to try the chin thing, you know, the patch. Christina don't like it, and we get venture soul patch back.

We get it like we get it for a day. Yeah, I could do that like a Monday Monday. Yeah, I look very She don't like because I look. She feels like look hispanic and that's not a bad thing, but like she don't like it. She don't like, she's like feeling it. Yeah, it is what it is. Let's get back to baseball guys from yesterday where the Cardinals and the Brewers have a pretty good game, five four brew

Crew victory. It was bombs away early against St. Louis as Miles Nicholas five innings, five hits, five runs, three strikeouts, He walked one, quite a few homers Is Colton wand homer, Harrison Bader homer for St. Louis, Coulton wogomers all homers yesterday. St. Louis homers and then against Nicholas, it exactly what we're

expecting in Miller Park. It was Mike Mustock is Christian Yellick and and you looked at me as so it was Yellows Mustakis and you at least shot seen of all people going to deep against Miles Mincholas, as I said, bombs away. Yeah, bad start here for Miko Loss. Didn't miss a lot of bats, pretty much on par with what he did last year. Didn't really walk anyone, only had one walk here, but he didn't have as many issues last year with strikeouts. So look, it's a tough

lineup against the Milwaukee Brewers. Obviously in Miller Park it's a great hitters environment. So um, I'm not gonna hold this to Miko Loss. Let's see what he does and in some of these you know, other starts moving forward. But it is a tough division. Man, He's gonna have to face the Cubs a lot. He's gonna have to face, you know, the Brewers here, the Reds. I don't know that it's gonna be all that easy. I don't know how I feel about Mikoloss. I didn't buy any shares

of him, and I like the guy. You know, because like there's only well there's only so many, so much picture as you could get before it becomes real. The garbage cheap, you know what I mean. And you have to take Mikoloss at some point. But I think he was going a little too high for me because he doesn't miss bats. He's going with them control. But that worries me. If you don't miss bats, you could get you could get prone to getting shelt every so often.

I don't like that. I don't like that inconsistency. So he worries me a little bit, especially after this start. You know, it's funny. The heart of the St. Louis line up, which we were talking about the other day, did nothing, and it was the Colton Wongs, the Harrison Baders that got it done. And I was making fun of them just a day ago. Bolton Wog Grady. We gotta talk about waivers. I think he's gonna be a

partial one. Obviously he had two home runs, but it comes in Miller Park, so favorable environment to hit in. How interested are you in Colton ware. I don't think he's gonna hit play against left handed pitching, But if you're deciding like keeping her Nan is verse one, and I think that's a common question. We're gonna get a key here, Nanda's versus Colton Wong, and I think, you know, both kind of hitting the same spot in the order. I think right seventh or eighth or whatever. Um. You know,

we've seen this some Colton Wong too. Like he talks about seeing Key Hernandez go in spurts and some other players go in spurts. We've seen some Colton Wong as well. He's only asked for opportunity. Obviously, both guys hitting the bombs away yesterday. I think we had to lean one a leading Key Hernandez. I'm kind of more excited about him, But I don't think we could take what Colton Long has done for granted by any means. I don't. I

don't know. I don't think i'd buy into any of this yet, you know what I mean, still too soon. I think Colton Wong is a deeper league, fourteen team leagues and deeper maybe if you have a hole, If you have a hole in your lineup, and that's the spot you need to fill. Not everyone's middle infielder is gonna be great. So you pick up a guy like Colton Wong and you know, get a little bit of pop out of him. Again. It was a good spot going up against the Brewers. They don't have great pitching.

You get a home run off julies chas seen, and he also hit one off Junior Gara. Again, like this bullpen and the starting pitching staff is not what it was last year, specifically the bullpen. I mean, they don't have Conable, they don't have Jefferson. Obviously we could get into that now. Josh Hayter comes in in the eighth, clearly going for a two inning save. Here breaks out four guys, looks filthy. I mean he was helped by

Lorenzo Kane, no early candidate for catches the year. I mean, we're gonna be leaking back at this at the end of the season, and I honestly might win. He rob's a home runs to save the game. But if he didn't, then Josh Hader would have had a blown save. Ye but he looked good otherwise. Besides that or strikeouts, you know,

the six outside. He could be the best closing the league this year if he keeps that, especially getting two winning saves everything you know every so often, and they were speculating uh during the game last night on the ESPN broadcast that Freig Kimberll is not going to be signed until June, because that's when I believe the draft pick attached to him. Greg Soreg Kimberll a lot of people's talent until June, so maybe he latches on with

the Bruwer was there. We knew that they had interest in him, but Freg kimber was asking for a lot of money, so it's obviously, you know, there's some kind of disconnect there between his asking price and what they want to pay. People don't want to pay closes. But it seemed like the Brewers were the team that was closest to getting him. Well that point, it did. Most recently it did. The Nationals were obviously close at some point.

I still think Nationals him, to be honest, you know what, I still this It's gonna be whatever injuries, implosions of the balls. I know what they've said. But if Boston just blows lead after lead on and we don't know that they will, they're to go resign them. We know they are. So that's why I hope him, pray that somebody signs them before they do. It's kind of a wait and see approach. Christian Yellis obviously got the job that I mentioned the home run yesterday. The rest of

the middle of the order not so much. For Milwaukee's Ryan Bron, Travis Shaw, Jess Aguilar did nothing. Mikey Mustakis went deep here, so that's kind of deal with the Milwaukee Brewers. Up next for US, Let's go to Chicago and Texas. The Cubbies beat up on Texas pretty much. This went to script Frank twelve four victory for the Cubs. Mike Minor allows six runs on five hits in four and two thirds. Jesse Chavis comes in and was just as terrible, don't even pitching any and allows three runs.

John Lester six names, four hits, two runs, two walks. She struck out of three. Pretty pretty pedestrian outing for Leicester, but it was enough. He allows the home run to Elvis Andress and that's about it. He didn't look all that great, but pitch to contact. They gave you the quality star. I think this is what you're hoping you get. Yes, absolutely is what you can if you start John Lester

for whatever reason. This is what you're for whatever reason. Yeah, you're right, this is what this is the best you could hopeful? Really, how about you talking about Yeah? And one of them was just ridiculous. Yeah, like the ball is low and outside, not even last night. And this is the beauty of of Javier Bayas is that, you know, everyone wants to bash him because his plate discipline is terrible and you know he strikes out of ton and he swings at all these bad pitches. He's an uber

aggressive swinger. But if you saw that first homer that he hit yesterday, the ball was like almost on the ground. I don't even know how he got it out. How could he have pulled that? Because he can he can make things happen. That other hitters came because of that aggressive and he's got just great bat speed and I think just a great you know hand, that coordination to

the ball. And then he went opo for a homer, you know, for the second one, so he goes to all fields and that one was more of a line drive. The other one was more of a bomb because he had to like pull it up into the air because I don't know how you could pull that shot and actually get it over. And he had Chris Bryant hit home and too. I mean, the heart of this lineup is really is really nice. Almora hit well, he went

two for six. It all comes down to the pitching for the Cubs, which is what we mentioned when we were going over the season win totals for the Cubs. Is you know, where do they get from their rotation? Where do they get from Darvish, where do they get

from the bullpen? So there's question marks. Obviously, the offense could be very good, and I think there are some ale only and and only implications here on both sides, Greg because Albert Almira Jr. In the lineup against the lefty leading off, So if you could depend on him to lead off whenever they're facing lefties, that's gonna have some relevance in the NIL only And obviously on the other side, we had a few questions in the chat

regarding shintsu Chu didn't play against left handed pitching. Obviously, much of the dismay of Michael Floorio unter Pence right in the middle of the lineup against the lefty playing hitting fifth designated hitter starting over shintu Cho. So I think those are some ALE only and only Also, I think Jason Hayward, someone to keep an eye on, just to keep an eye on. I know we've been waiting for years and years and years, but listen, he could help somebody who is in need of an outfielder or

something in the deeper leagues. About David and only, I mean he gets two hits, He's hitting six in the middle of this lineup against left handed pitching to a lot of mixing and matching here. I just want a note. Just remember when they don't have the d H, this changes body won't be a lot of cause is replace second masure. You know, shober As, you just could platoon and left field. That's fine. Just remember this changes without the d A crazier that wasn't in the lineup. Well,

he had the d H, so we understand it. He gets a left dude as soon as Miner came out, Shuber came in and play the whole game. Yeah, they got But look, he's strictly like just what not gonna play against lefties? He's so bad. If he's not gonna play against left with d he's not gonna play. Probably right now, Madden does things like this, and this is and I forgot to mention this. The other day. This

is why I picked the cups of Win Division. Madden is probably the best coach in the league, one of the best coaches of all time, to be quite honest. I mean he has to be at this point, so I think he helps them a lot. Just his coaching ability to bring him to the next level, to bring guys to the next level. Four Texas. I do want to note Delano to shields let off. As Frank noted yesterday when over three day walked, but a second he got on base, he did try to steal. He did try. Greg,

he tried. He immediately got caught stealing, but he tried. You don't see that every day between you know, John Lesser and Wilson Constance has a great arm, but John Lesser usually terrible and holding runners on. But hey, he tried to steal. And that exactly what I said yesterday when I said I put him in my NFBC lineup in the Great Fantasy Baseball Invitational. Hey, if I could steal a stole on base or two over the weekend, sure, Yeah, that's all I want from Delanos. Elvis Andres goes three

for four, including that home run Big Bay. I did pick him up. He's batting in that three spot, uh, behind Odor and Joey Yallow And I think you know that's whe they're gonna need. Texas going need to come through if they're going to be successful this year. Um. I also want to know Kyle Christis Ryant. He had a big game yesterday as Bryant has the two run

jack in the eighth his only hit. But good to see that he's healthy, banning second yesterday in this lineup for Chicago, moving on, we can taken you and we get to Oakland, who shut out the Angels four to nothing. We joked and laughed and killed Mike Fires this three game week in your league. One hit, one hit, one hit. Well for your Angels that are gonna be making the playoffs. Your Angels, Yeah, shut up, very good here, shut out by Mike Fires of all people you in the league.

I think I don't know if this NFBC here is a different it was it was. I think might be the pit league were last pick Frank Draft and Lute and a ton of strikeouts. Joaki Story pitched the eighth Tribute to pitch the seventh. We're trying to pitch the ninth. Seven pitches and he was done a nice job by Mike Fires. Yesterday Trevor k Hill six inting, six hits, four runs, three strikeouts in his opening day start for Anna Greg Is it worth mentioning Robbie Grossman, Yes, it's

gonna least it's right handed pitching. This line up very much worth. We're all very excited about the two through five here for the for the names, and it would have looked a lot better if Matt Olsen was in it. But if you have Chatman, Pascotti, Chris Davis, pro Far and then Kendricks Morales in this lineup too, and Robbie Grossman's was leading off for it, and he stole a

bass sister and he got two hits. I don't think Robbie Grossman is a very good player, but if he's gonna lead off for the Oakland A's in a strong side of a platoon, he has value in deeper mixed leak. It's a bad opportunity, right and if you have in a good spot in the lineup, and honestly, Okland lineup ain't that it's decent. It's not that bad. I mean, if we looked at all the lineups in baseball, a

lot of them are really bad. So you gotta consider Oakland a pretty decent lineup one through five or two through five. And even Simon hit a home run and he was betting seventh, and a lot of people are excited about you know, Chad Pinder, don't hinder the Pinder had Pinder there. So I think it's a deep lineup. Loriano betting eight. You know, if it were a better hitting environment, I think it would be talked about more.

It's the fact that they play in Oka. It's a big ball Yeah, it's not a big ballpark when you're crushed Davis. But um, yeah, look, I think I think Robbie Grossman right, there is relevance you paid a few fifteen team, I think there's I think you should be owning that format. I think there's absolutely relevance when it comes to to Robbie Grossman leading off the old base yesterday. Um, if he's leading off, he's right, Anders, I think you have to bring him up. I think you have to.

For the Angels, Cocahoun let off the game and he interested there. He was one for three. You're not gonna steal bases with Cocao, but he is leaning off and he intererest in Cocahoon. He's just boring. Yeah, I've had Cocahoun in the past few years. He's much better for points leagues because he hits a lot of doubles. He doesn't sake out all that much outside of my trap. This this angels laugh so bad. Yeah, it real Simons opening day, Greg Andelton Simmons is betting clean up. Yeah,

that makes no crazy. I can't. So we're waiting for Otani to come back, but third we probably will. Yeah that codes are betting six. Yeah, it's bad. One last game to get to before the break. It was the Marlins and the Rocky Whose right? Yeah? Four and two thirds nine hits, six runs, four of them which were earned in this one. Kyle Freeland seven in, two hits, one run, five strikeers. A good start to the year.

Four Kyle freelands here uh and the Rockies where David dal was the star for Colorado going three from four in the middle of the order. He was hitting the ball board. A nice job by David Doll Church Store. He hits a homer Ian Desmon has a big double uh for the Marlin. J. C. Riddle. Homer's you know Walker Homer's pinch hit and Jose Alfaro homers as well. This is a bad lineup, Gregor, I told you that

the other day. Free homers, man. I think Jorge al Farrow nice to see a home run in the home park right out of the gate because he has pop, but he strikes out a lot. So see what happens here with al Farrow. He hits a lot of balls on the ground to like, if he lifts the ball and just tries to hit homers, he might be able to pop, you know, fifteen twenty, maybe exceeds twenty. And honestly, if he hits well enough, he could be in the

heart of the lineup sooner. It doesn't mean much, It doesn't mean much, but yeah, it might have a few more R B I R. But you're talking about a catcher. They're not good exactly, even dal who needs coors Field right how Freeland was just lights out. Look, Giants and the Marlins. Those are going to be the teams that you're streaming. You're starting the Orioles long and rightfully the Orioles as well. Yeah, definitely the Orioles. Those are three.

Those are the main three. We'll take a break. We come back, let's go over waivers and today WI stick around. You have stop after this raindas make it rain that stuck a fok in Seattle for some reason, as if there may not be as good as they were last year. But give them a little bit of credit. Here they're showing up and they're putting the ball in play, and man, did they put the ball in play? If sale was in Boston, maybe a different story. And nobody. No team

has ever won a World Series. And I love these kinds of numbers, but no team has ever won a World Series. You have to give it up. Twelve or more runs on opening Day. bunch of different hairstyles. If you've been watching for years now, you know I like I've had the main bonn. I've disgusted that I have had a rat tail. Disgusting. Frank, have you thought about going pure bald? We're bald never crossed my mind. Disgusting week Days New and Eastern on happened t s Y Radio and not your popular podcast providers Fantasy Best Friends Forever, Fantasy Sports Radio Network, Grex Soman, Chris Venture, Frank Staff Here wrap it up the week

for you. Busy week obviously, March Madness tonight all weekend long. Find out who's going to the final four. It should be fun. Obviously a lot of baseball as well. What happened in March Madness last night, Greg, I honestly didn't watch a single God it was fun. Was all wrapped up in baseball, watching a lot of recaps off from baseball, looking up all these swinging strike leaders, and I watched the whole, the whole Dodgers game. The look the mingos,

Saint Hannah, Dude, he's gonna be awesome. He's absolutely I mean to do what he did against Chris saliesterday to get another home run. He can go to opposite field, he can hit to all fields. And I said this before no the season started. I think having Edwin and Karnacion there as a mentor is going to help him along. He was going way too low in draft. I think already as it was the March Madness. Last night you had um which is called really good games. Gonzaga advanced

beat Florida State, so they're in the Elite eight. They will face now Nzaga will face Texas Tech as they destroyed Michigan last night. Texas Tech destroy that's Gabe Squadron. That's why was little Angry hot today hot today. So that was that was a one side of the racket. The other thing the other side saw Virginia get by Oregon and then Perdue, who was up fifteen at one point or maybe more on Tennessee. That game goes all the way back, goes to overtime, and Perdue ran away

with it. For you defeated the Tennessee Volunteers Purdue versus Virginia to go to the Final four on Saturday. I have both of those in my Elite eight, but those are probably chalkie picks anyway, right, so it's not for Due over Tennessee was a three over two as as a Texas Tech. I had Perdue Duke in Michigan State. That's today we'll find out that's still a possibility, right, Ah, I had yeah, Michigan. I lost my first Final four team last night with Michigan and I have North Carolina

and Houston still got a shot at that. All right, let's see what happens and what Wow, what's up? I U? I think I nailed almost all of them. Yeah, I didn't even know that I got produced. I had Perdue Tennessee, right, I had Purdue going to uh the Elite eight against Virginia and then Duke and I have I think I had Michigan State l s U. I have them more in Zaga. Well, Florida State lost, right, So okay, you have Gazaga and I had Nevada not Texas Tech. But

they've been out for a while, lost in the first round. Yeah, yeah, they've been for a while. There's been a pretty text still in the tournament. It's a pretty chalky tournament, right most ever, yea, and everything's actually going according to plan. I think I heard Gabe last week and say that it was all the favorites one right, not all, but most but a lot of them did. Yes, this is staring his right. Yeah, I'm just like like that revelation

with dustin Verland last year not happening again is insane. Hey, you gotta to a great start yesterday nine it was nine twenty three swinging strikes. It was only not only trailed Max Serz. Now he's throwing this change up too venture. This guy might strike out three. He is a wizard, Wizard, Wizard Houston. He's a wizard with the boys. Guys, let's go over tout waiver wire selections for this weekend. People have to put in their waivers on Sunday. So Frank,

I'm letna start with you. The number one guy that you're been the most FABI money on this weekend is who based on who I saw was available and on some of the most added lists. I'm really excited about kicking Hernandez, and I don't want to overreact, but everyday player, little line up for the Dodgers here again, struck out, cut down his strikeout rate last year, pretty good, played discipline, He hit the ball hard last scenes as well, So I think he has the upside to hit twenty five

home runs if he plays every single day. So I think he gave her Nandez if he's out, there's someone that I'm gonna be pretty aggressive on, you know who We should ask Mike about who we've got. We still having to text him rowdy t Lez, because that's his guy, So we should have got some rowdy to lessen. I think in deeper leagues, you know, fifteen teamers, we're gonna be bidding on him. We're not gonna say how much yet,

Rowdy Tilez. I think it's someone who's gonna be on radars, gonna play most of the time for d H for the Blue Jays because obviously they traded Awake for Alice. Do you see the report regarding Vladi Mcguerrero I tweeted out before here. I don't think he's basically like being accelerated. They want him up by mid April. If anyone who got glad at a discount because of the injury, you might reap some serious, serious benefits By Guerrero Jr. I

think he's up mid April. So I'm so. I really think with what San Diego started with Fernando Tatis saying, hey, we're going for it, it's causing ripple effects where the Mets are like, all right, we're in pet starting with Tatis and Paddic. That's right. The project said we're going for it, and I know there's heat from above with the MLB saying enough of this crap. But it certainly seems like the Mets heard that's Toronto is hearing not

a huge, huge surprise here and good news. I think part of that was also the eloy him menace thing to him getting, you know, a contract and getting because you the contract, so he was more like Scott Kingary. But these guys who are getting contract extensions, they're just the best part of the best twenty five guys put on the team and they're going for it, And like,

the teams don't deserve credit for doing that. So I'm not gonna give it to him that you don't deserve credit for the best twenty five guys in the roster. What about happy it's finally happening. Oh yeah, but because they always had hinderance. Yeah, this hinderance of this service time thing with the April twelve that should be changed eating back to right. I mean the Cubs really started it with Chris Bryan and everyone followed suit. They're like, oh,

you know, we could just make up an excuse. Oh, this guy needs seasoning at Triple A, he'll start to year. We'll just bring him out in April. The same thing with the Kunia last year. Yeah, absolutely, what I think with Vlad's case, he actually does need to get some at bats here, Like it actually makes sense because he was injured and you know, he's gotta he's gotta play. He's gonna play a little bit. They're accelerating and let's see they accelerated him past that super two day or not.

It's just how quickly the acceleration is. Is anybody in the way wide that you're looking at, Chris, Yeah, there is um one guy. I mean, I know he's been drafted in certain leagues, but that's certainly that there. He's not solar Um. You know yesterday had a big r B. I he was two for four with a double tow r B. I is actually you know, I think batting forth for the for the Royals. Some of these guys ahead of him in the line with Merrifield, Lord, he's Gorielle.

These guys, I think we're gonna do pretty well. I think that's good URBI opportunities for I think you could be a valuable piece in the outfield if you need it. And I also Tim Beckham go back to him, Beckham still ripping, still ripping list So we're gleat me bring up Beckham, and I think you mentioned key here Nandez. We talked about Colton Longfields and we said and we both said, all right, we kind of seen this outburst from Backham before. Florio said, um, I said, we've seen

this outburst from Colton long before. You've talked about key here Nandez. But the thing is, I always bring this up, and it's worth mentioning again. I don't need him to do it from April to September. If they're hot right now, let's ride the hot hand, especially if you need it. Tim Beckham is hot, he was hot in Japan, he's back in the stage. Why wouldn't we ride the way with a Tim Beckham, especially if you have a sale yesterday too. I know it's not you know, Christal obviously

wasn't on his game, but he had two dayers. You have that. You don't have a spot to do it. You should be doing it. You should pick up Tim Beckham. Rank those three Greig K Beckham, Regam Beckham, Key Colton Loong in that order, I'll put I think he has more staying power along term. I hear what you're saying about, you know, but he's hot too. Yeah, I say, Beckham, guys, how much money are you putting on these guys? Let's just do it out of a hundred not much? Yeah,

have five bucks? Yeah, not breaking the bank for I'll put five or six on a guy like you, like Beckham? Yeah, I like Beckham. I would do it because you know, if you need especially you can. How though, how much of the pedigree he goes into Beckham for the first overall picked We've been kind of waiting and waiting and waiting and that for years. I know, I'm asking Chris. He's very hones it. It's part of it. But you know,

after a while that fades away, you know. But late listen, a guy could tweak something mechanics or just confidence something and could change their career around. I mean, look at Jose Batista's career. That guy was a highly tired of prospect coming up. He didn't do anything for years with the Pirates and whatever. He was nothing at all. Uh and then out of out of nowhere, he has a huge I think I don't know how many home you see it. That first season it was above forty and

he just had this huge breakout season. And this is a guy we've been waiting for so you never know when a guy could really turn it around and and really find his stride and develop into an everyday great player. Uh So this could be that turning point for Beckham and he will linger on waiver wires because because of that reason, because he hasn't been able to do it for a while, but because people don't trust it, they don't.

I remember Batista was there for a month before somebody actually showing up, and that person who picked him up with me because I rooped the benefits. Um. But yeah, we're going back to that first round pedigree thing, Frank. I know it's like in the back of Venture's mind. That's fine, it's always in the forefront of my mind.

Like Dustin, he came up for a week and guest over dust Stop come on, um a name that comes to my mind, and he's not and he's owned more often than he's not, so he's really fit this bill like your fifteen team leagues. But we mentioned yesterday you owned him in the pit league, Frank, and that's fran

mill Ras. I just don't want to I just don't want to forget that he's probably clean up yesterday, clean up in this line up just behind Will Myers and Manny Machado, and then has Eric Hosmer behind him in Fernando Tatis. And I'm very excited about fran mill Rays, but I do worry about the playing time. That's why I own him in a daily transactive league. So if he's not in the lineup, then I can just take him out and I could put someone else in. I

think that's probably his best format. But in deeper leagues, I mean, he's already owned. A lot of people are excited about him. He made great strides when he got called back up last year. He cut down on the strikeouts. He's a big boy. He can hit for power too. He can hit talking average. I do agree with you that he's a better overall player than Hunter Renfro. I ranked him higher Hunter Renfro. But let's see what happens. They're facing another lefty. So now does Hunter Renfro get

in the lineup over a friend. They both get in together, maybe because those are two liabilities in the outfield, and you really have Franmo Rais and Hunter Renfro in the outfield, probably on the same day. Probably not very bad, but that's the thing. He is the thing, So you got to two lefties now after that, though, I'm worried, like, when there's right he's on the mount, is he just never gonna play? Oh, fran Mill like, is he not

gonna play when right he's on the mount? I was ready to pick him up in a lot of my leagues. He's out there, so I don't know if I should. He would get me nod against righties before Hunter Renfro would. And I also think that Francie Cordero would start against right e's over Manuel Margo. I think Margot is playing, probably gonna play tonight too, because they're facing two lefties to start the season. They're facing mad Bum and tonight facing Derek Collins, so that'll be those splits. It will

be Margo and Franchie. Francie I thinks he's a strong side of a platoon in center field. I think too, and that excites me. If Franchie has a little bit of they're not gonna take Wilmiers out of the line up though, that's what it comes down to, like you have two spots for four players because someone's getting trade at the time. Unless he gets hurt, which is definitely a possibility. Someone's getting traded. At some point, you're gonna have had to Renfro and Franmo Ray. It's probably taking

away from each other, eating each other's value. Gonna have Marc and Francie Cardarrow in center field. I think that's more of a straight up platoon. Franchie against right ease, Marco against what happens now like tonight, if they if they're facing a righty, you're right? Is it Renfro? Who's

in there? It's a sketchy situation. That's why I would like to see them trade away one of these guys, so somebody gets open to do something because there's too many there, and that's worries me right now, so I won't pick him up. Um, but what about Jack Peterson? Yeah, you mentioned Jock before. I think jocks farre also Jackson. Another one of these guys is very street, very very very street. But when he's hot, he's hot. Who's the top outfield? Add great? Is it Jock? Is it one

of these Padres guys? Is it we may Robbie Grossman is Adam Jones who led off yesterday and hit a home run? Those names not Jones? Is Jock over all of him? To me, it's Jock over all of them because I think Jock's upside that is the highest that of all of them, and he should play most of the time. He's a strong sign of platoon guarantee, right, you know he's gona play against right, He's gonna lead off in that lineup. If I put him in the makes two Greg, I'd rather clean up. It's gonna play

every day. It's still rather Jock first. Yes, I don't think it's not that close for me. I'd much rather have Jocket. Well, it was the playing time this year before he got hurt, which is always a thing. But it's really good in the spring, good yesterday. I'm a venture. I'm kind of buying in on so close. It's the weekly lead thing, like I'm in a lot of weekly So I would rather have the soul left for the you know, the safety, the safety of that, right, Um.

But I do like Jack, and Jack looked like he had a lot of swag last night too, very good swag. Who are you dropping? We should make this a segment. I have it on the run down Who is Gregg dropping? After Day one? Team? So the next person I'll be dropping the first person I'll be dropping. I should say is that Chris Taylor doesn't play enough. It didn't. He didn't drop because I had O Tany going to DL, so I don't have the droplem. So Chris Taylor will

be the first guy I dropped. Another name on that list. I put the most dropped players on this list. Ark Hampson is wait, no, see you we gotta talk about this. I wouldn't drop. I would not dropping in a road league. But if you play in a head to head points league, a twelve team league, and you need someone who's going to play every day, volume matters most in points leagues, you drop Garrett. I got a crazy scenario before you're drop him in. Before you do, here's the better question.

In my situation a daily in the daily league, Do I drop Garrett Hampson to pick up Ryan McMahon is not a move I should do. In a daily league, I would own both of them. I would if I were you, I would drop Chris Taylor, pick up McMahon and always have one of those Rockies guys. That's true. That that's what I would do. I like it. I like that now, but I have a big problem. So

in my home league, my big this league league. I drafted Garrett Hampson, but he was more of like a backup to Franciscall Indoor, who I have on the I l right now. And he's in my starting lineup this week at shortstop and he's just sitting there rotting, uh for next week? What do I do? I don't have another guy to stick into the shortstop position. Drop somebody. I have Byron Buxton on the bench. And I took to Frank about this before, I said, I trade Buxton

for a profile and throw profile. What do I do? You can't drop no one, but nobody dropped. I mean there's a picture, drop picture. I don't like dropping Pitture. You gonna have to. Um, I'll give you some names. I got. You have Matthew Boyd on this team. I got Boyd on this team. I got Strong on this team. I got Paddock, I got. I don't want to drop Strom. I don't yeh, Yes, his velocity went up to Boyd. That excites me. Um, you know I have? Who else

do I have? I don't really have the rest of my pictures really got Michael, Michael Gibbins, and Franti Dominions as my closes, my two closers. Basically, UM, I have Kyle Freeland, I have CAZy. To me, you hold on a Hampson for now, you drop Boyd. I want to hold Yeah, I'm not dropping Hampson. You have to drop Boyd not training Byron Bucks for yorkson profile and I can't leave Hampson in the lineup. I don't think it's gonna be long before you're really faced with do I

drop Garrett. I like profile in Roto, you got to hold them no matter what because the upside is absolutely legit. But in the head's head points league or even categories to keep us the weekly league, you know, you want guys who are gonna play every single day. And it hurts if Garrett Hampson isn't gonna be in there. What he's one injury away exactly from being or if it could be an injury to anyway, could be Murphy could be dolled right, He's gonna be super utility for now

kind of um. But his injury, that's the thing. I don't want to drop him because I know in the back of my mind, I'm saying this guy's going to get Huldn't I wouldn't drop, but he's one of the most drop players. That's why I thought it was worth bringing up. Yeah, people are ready to give up quick. I understand day one of the most dropped players. It would be a frustrating situation. Get that he shouldn't even be drafted. To be honest, I agree. I don't think

you can own d Jay here all right. What about Andrew Heini and the fact that drop him. You're talking about talking about a guy that's never ever right. If you need if you don't have a don't have an EL spot, or it's taking one over or whatever, drop Andrewhini, man, like, this is the guy that's never held. He's already hurt. Back, he's hurt. They had a step back. It's always the same with Hey, I would drop it. But what if you play in an NFBC league, Greg, there's no talking

about you. I don't have any shares of Andrewhini. But if you play in a fifteen team league where there's no d L spots, well we know what his upside is and you're playing like the NFBC Profanhini there inster Turnbull ye something like that.
