Here are the Fantasy Sports Radio Network alongside for Rankie Stamvill, I am Greg Sauceman for Ranky. What's going on, Buddy Gregg? You better question what are you wearing? I am wearing a red sweater. You read sweater. Huh that's it. It's a little late for him. Ugly
Christmas Twitter, Greg. So, I went to my closets today and I was like, what should I wear on the show? And I thought this was afropos. It's madness. Baby march is here got the am on ready to rock today, Baby down with Belmont. All I've heard all week Balmont, Balmont, Balmont. Gabe wants to put money on Belmont. I'm with Joe Nieri, man, the smart money's on Maryland, the smart people on Maryland.
I'm not bidding. I'm just rooting smart money, smart with the smart What are you talking to, my man, Joe or Neery? The smart money has come in on the Maryland terravans. I think games got it right. Greg. You just running against me for the sake and rety against me. You're not a friend. I just don't understand how from one week to the next, last week killing Maryland out here. They suck. Yes, they never win in big games, right, they're slow starters, they choke. One week later, it's all gone,
never happened, Huh. I believe red and Yellow all over again, Right are you? Haven't you been a sports fan your whole life? Yes? How many times are you talk yourself out of a team? Right back in within a matter of game? About a week later, Sure, the Jets have a bad game, Jets have a bad game on Sunday. By the next Sunday you are right back in. And here we are exactly one week later, Maryland's lane three. Maryland h went down from like six mnus won sixty.
Money line? Do you want to jump in on that? No, ill not be You're excited, you're pumped, my favorite. Let's go, let's go and hey, why he d Maryland? Well? What all right? That's not real? Is that people outside here and staid at thirty four walking by, they see us in the sweater them to Maryland and let's go on us. I wish I went to a big time college. Should
you do? St. Francis College, Brooklyn? You know how times they've been away, times they've been in the tournament, one of your only four one of the four or five teams to never four teams to never make ever the tournament that would be the Terry Maryland Open at minus five. There are nine times of minus three. Al right, so whatever, so idiots coming around, bell might have a deal. Let's go. Great. Unfortunately I woke up to some bad news. What's what's
what's what's wrong? I also will up to Frank very bad. I actually woke up to a text from you regarding Hazy. Was not happy. Bad news. Good thing we have a doctor of inside injuries coming up. Also, Matt Olsen Hey with a pitch today on his hand, missed that left. I was in the bathroom heaven late. Yeah, we got a little more baseball today to watch though, you know he had had a little more. We had a little extra baseball to watch today, Greg. Yeah, Yeah, it was cool,
It was fun. It was s on pace for a hundred and sixty two saves. How about that bumped Mingo Santana. Yesterday we talked about you know, we talked about Hunter Strickland, Jim Sannas. I was all about Hunter Strickland. Well, no one knew who was going to be and I think Anthony Scorzak is hurt now. So just leaves one. There was one I loved. Hut. How's everything else going here? How did you sleep or could you not sleep because you were too excited the turtles? And I'll be honestly,
I just left. I had another dream Network. I had a dream that we were regarding me being no, you were in it the So I had a dream that we were doing something and it might have been the Tip Drill, not Tip Drill. It might have been the NBA Fantasy Hour where I was using my game show Mike and I was getting yelled at because it just didn't sound good, and everyone's just so mad at me, just starting to concern me that dreamed so much about work. Everyone was just telling me they were just so mad
at me that my game show mic wasn't working. So it seems like it's been working quite well. I woke up upset that I couldn't use it anymore, and then I realized it was it was a dream. I used to wor use Word up magazine, used to read Word Up magazine. You're all over the place, all over the place. Oh man, what's going on? Buddy? I'm good man. Things
are good. The lizard things very annoying. Now we will go We both will come to that at four to six weeks with what was deeming this shoulder store noess, is that what it is? So the same thing is like Sevorino what that's rotator cuff story is a little bit different. Hopefully Dr A we'll answer that question for us. We're not We're probably not gonna be happy by that. I mean, my initial thought was, well, is this a real injury or is this like a service time thing?
But the Oakland's need him. Their rotation is not good. So as of now, all the news that we have is he's being shut down for four to six weeks with a muscle strain in his left shoulder. Greg, I don't know about you, but muscle strain sounds better than like rotator cuff. What do you think better? I agree with you. Muscle muscle strain definitely sounds better. Happen so late in camp now we might not seem until the end of May. It's four to six weeks. That's okay.
I mean that's okay. Like I know we wanted the sort of the Brake camp, but like theoretically he comes up in June, like, all good. I mean that's a big difference. Stuf, No, it's not. It's not. I don't know about everyone else. I was expecting him up middle of April, fiddle to end of April. Fine, how many ins you think this year? You didn't a hundred fifty innings? Did you? For those listening that Franks is shaking, he said, yeah, yeah, I did. That is what I was expecting. Let's see
what the fan graps projected. Yeah, what what is fan guys for? Jeffer LAZARDA Because I thought that was realistic. They didn't need him they need him that much. I didn't really think in between. Al Right, I gotta do some dude. Fan gra has projected a hundred and twelve, but last season he had ninety two one oh eight. He pitched a hundred and eight innings in the minors. Why couldn't you jumped to one thirty one forty one oh eight to one? You could do that is fine?
He still can get to one thirty Yeah, I mean maybe. Okay, if you're still drafting this weekend and we are, we have a on Sunday, you have a draft to night. That's a joke that a phone on the Thursday of March. Man, is you having a draft? I didn't plan this, correct, I'm not the commissioner. We have it on in the background. I could be watching my pops. He's in the league. Here's a question that we have to get into later on the show. We certainly will um where's his Lazaro? Now?
He was basically going wherever Chris Paddock went. He's Lazardo wet and you're looking pretty much like thirteen four exactly what I was gonna sat round Zardo for three dollars in auction. Paddock will still Paddocks still goes there. Obviously over the weekend he went for an average of six dollars in the NFBC auctions. Didn't get him at a bit of a discount, now, y'all four bucks that's what we paid from last week. We so was much higher. I think you're getting Lazardo as a one or two
dollar guy now probably so. Yeah, because people don't buy the injury optimism. They don't know what he's coming back. I hear you, but you've actually kind of talked me into this. Now have because it comes up in let's say late May early June. It sucks they have to wait for him, but you might have him for the rest of the year now a hundred and thirty n the rest of the season. I understand you. I mean
I don't know about everyone. I don't know what rather have him for the back end for for the of course, no doubt about that. But the shoulder muscle strain not great. It's just it's not it's not like it's an ankle. It's not he broke his ankle here. I had people asking me today already on Twitter, Greg, do you drop lose art? What do you do well? Because you can't
put him on the injured list. You're saying, yeah, what if you just have him on your bench and you don't, he's not gonna be DL eligible or i L eligible because he's gonna go in the minor league injured. He's not gonna go. So obviously, if you have a minor league spot, you could just stash him there. Of course, what if you don't, do you just hold onto him?
I say, yes, I think the talent is there. So it's a really funny question because for me, right now, I have an inn A spot, right so Jesus Lazardo, I could I could put him there right now, and and he's actually not eligible yaho. So the way we do it is YEAHO in the second we have one. We have we have one, and I think that's fine. So I'm stashing essentially stashing there. We're actually stashing a random player there because yeah, who doesn't have them in
their system yet? For us? Bizarre? I know so, And well I'll get we get to the AI up after the break, yeah or dr right'll get the a Tani up date later in the hour. But Lozardo, he's eligible to be put there, so I can put him there. Or the guy that's replacing him there. But I haven't
picked up anybody to replace him yet. So you asked me, like, would I dropped Lizardo At some point the answer may very quickly become yes, but justice, But right now I have an empty roster spot because I draft Lazardo put him in my minor eleague spots. So I have an empty roster spot and I have not filled it yet.
One of the reasons is because we have um a maximum pickup list of four players per week, and technically this week doesn't end to like April four, so that's a really long time for four pickups, so I don't want to waste one. And the second thing is I don't necessarily know who pick up who to pick up someone in our league, Like listened to the BFFs yesterday, grabbed Trevor Waivers. Trevor Richards off of Waivers, so he's gone,
Like Michael Pineta, for instance, he's still out there. There's a couple of other pictures were big Mike looked yesterday? He did? He did. I don't want to waste that for one of my four pickups. He's always has been, he's been working out. I don't want to waste one of my four pickups on Pineda quite yet, so I'm waiting. So if I have to drop Lozardo, I will. I'm
not doing it yet. I'm waiting. I'm being cautious. I'm not trying to just the over zealous here by picking up players you have to Would you rather have these guys over Lozardo? Tyler SAgs, Yes, you too. Alan mceugh yes, John Gray yes, at my yes, Ross Stripling, Yes, I'd really like to pair raw Strippling up with Hazru s Lazardo. That makes sense because you get some early season starts out of raw Strippling while all these guys are on the deal like i'd like. I'd like to long. Is
that gonna take it? I'd like to pair them up by dealing. That would be great. I have all the Dodgers pitchers backs back. What about Rick Portello? Do you think about that? Greg? You're any closer? So that's where I dropped Lozardo too. I dropped fifty four my starting picture right, and I have for comparisons sake, I have Chris Paddock at forty five. I'm a Paddock at forty five.
Lazardo is affairs that warranted. If not, you know as you shouldn't, it shouldn't be a farther discomancy potentially, you think, so, Yeah, they have Chris Paddock higher my ringings. I'm just beyond Madison Bumgarder bumping at forty four might be the third round? Jeff jet faces, Do I have Bumguard too low? I don't really want anything to do with him? Agreed? No, I think I think pais what about Tyler Glass now
last now versus Lizardo? Right? I think I'd rather was ever really buying into the hype last now because there was a little bit of hype. I think I'd rather have Lizardo. Yeah, last look, he just I understand, picking up right where he left off where he normally does. The control looks terrible in the spring. He's giving up home runs. And that's what's so bad about Tyler Glass now is last year when he came over to the Raidings, everyone was excited. He started pitch better, he didn't walk
as many guys. He's still around three walks for nine, but he gives up a ton of home runs. You know what why it's so bad because he walks everybody so it's not solo home runs that Tyler Glasstow was given up. He's given up two run homers. Do you run homers? He give enough grand slams because he walked so many batters about. I was never I was never really in on class now for this season, just because their mechanical issues. He's six ft eide, he can repeat
his delivery to me. He reminds me a lot of a Tances, right, but Tances super wild. She say, maybe he goes to the bullpen is much better. That's always been a question mark with class. Now he's probably better in you know, short spurts. One inning here, maybe a swimming man relief picture, two winnings. But he's just too wild. The mechanics are always off. The pedigree is there. I think he's talented, but he's never been able to really
show signs of ConTroll at the start. Pure Absolutely, we know and they knowing this about Tyler Glass now, I know we wanted to put it all together. We have not seen it yet, which is where wise value is not nearly as high as it could be given this pedigree and the spot have Carlos Martinez type upside. Yes, absolutely, Oh I totally agree with that. If ever learned how to you know, harness, some of it we don't know. We don't. We don't know that he will. Rols Martinez
was a guy when he came up. Now here's a guy like, who is that Collinsworth? Yes, here's a guy, Um, let me talk this guy. That's Rolls Martinez. It felt like they kept messing with his mechanics a little bit. When I first came up. They moved them different sides of the rubber to try and figure out starting the bull started actually starting the bull. So I don't know. I think I like the Tampa. I like the Tampa Bay raises a fit because it seems like if any
team can figure it out, it might be them. But he hasn't done much in the spring to fire confidence. I agree, And that's why I dropped. You asked me who I'd rather have to me? It was Lozzardah, so I guess I should dropped Glass. Now my rankings, I think we didn't. You ripped the crap at him. You probably should should do something about that. So that's where we're atig that's Lozardo. Um, we meagine Hunter stricked them
before you see anything else in that game. There's a bunch actually in that game with Mitch out of your degording and more. We should mention Ryan Healey. We haven't really talked, especially in a only or fifteen teamers, but you know what I think we should do. You could start Ryan Heally. How about this Greg Parry, Ryan Healey with Vladimir Guerrero. Love it because you know that is gonna miss the first month seas. Yeah, yeah, yeah, pair
Ryan Healey. First month of season. You'll get him, hopefully you get you know, once Kyle Sega returns Ryan Healey, his playing time might get jumbled up a little bit by then you have Vladimir Guero. Great, love the paring. What I do think though, Frank, after we talk to Drys coming up next, I want to write down what we learned over the two days in Japan because think there's a lot here. There's a bunch of offense which is which is obviously very fun. So I think we
should get into its legit. Man, there's a lot of guys hunter legit. We'll talk about all of this. I cut up a little bit. When we come back. Weekdays, eight pms eleven p m Eastern on the Fantasy Sports not even popular podcast in Priders, Back with you Fantasy best Friends Forever, Fantasy Sports Radio Network. That's Frank Stadvill. I am Greg Sousman, and we are now joined by the good doctor, Dr from Inside Injuries. Doctor's going on, how are you guys doing today? Doing well, doing very little, nervous and it excited. It's always cautious optimism. I like it,
That's what it is. Frank. Frank is already rooting against me because it's very Frank like to do. That's okay. What kind of best friend would I be if I didn't? If I didn't bust up. You know a good friend we're looking for. Did you go You probably went to some prestigious college. Do you have any rooting interests in March Madness? Um? Yes, Uh, I have a very extensive family that are extremely competitive. So this is our sixteenth year of the March Madness Showdown? So who do you have?
Do you have winning winning it all? You know who I have? It's like who everyone has in the final four? I do have, Um, Tennessee, the big question remains, uh, do you pick Maryland or Belmont in the first round? I picked Maryland? Mo Man dr A thank you, thank you, Doc. It's you know, he's a he's a smart man talk. I know we emails you this morning. I don't know you're able to get to. The big news coming out as we woke up was about Jesus Lazardo and Lizardo
hurt himself a muscle strain in that shoulder. What does that mean? Yeah, this is something that they have to take extremely sensitively. Um, it's throwing shoulder left rotator cuff strain. Um. We right now we're thinking it's a grade one. We feel more information about it. But even like you know, a throwing shoulder for a grade one is more like a grade three almost for um, you know, other athletes. It's so sensitive because that's the only thing that's important
in a picture right there. So um there, He's what we're predicting is that he's definitely going to require at least six to eight weeks of an HTR right now, based on that prediction of the injury severity of grade
one to two. We will adjust it as it goes on, but at least at least eight weeks at six eight weeks, and I'd say leaning towards towards, you know, toward eight weeks, and I would put the timetable at the beginning of June, Greg now, eight weeks until he's back, or eight weeks until he starts throwing again, eight weeks, eight weeks, um until he starts throwing again, a couple more weeks of rehab, you know, take a less ten weeks. Yeah, that might be the middle of June, end of June. Yeah, yeah,
the god So this is a disaster. Alright, Alright, we'll just start over the disaster. No, no, Doc, you know, we we asked you about Lazar that you mentioned the rotator cuff, let's let's move into Savorino here. We haven't spoken to you in a couple of weeks. What's the latest song? We said? Even know, I know he uh, he finally started throwing terday, twenty five throws from a distance of sixty feet. That was yesterday. They've already ruled him out for the month of April. They're optimistic that
he can return in May. But kind of similar to dealing with the with the rotator cuff here, what do you guys have on Savorino? Yeah, so the optimal recovery time for a throwing uh sort of rotator cuff strain um. Right now, he was at a grade two. We moved him down to a grade one. But still it's four to six weeks, so you know, he's probably April twenty six is what we're looking at right now, maybe April twentie right now, we're targeting right around April. Okay, that's good,
right around May, that's good. How much will this affect his h performance though? Yeah, yeah, that was just about to say that. Yeah, it was you know, the first the first we'll see how he gets off the mound when he first starts. If he looks pretty good, it probably buys him a good amount of gay games and innings all the way up till maybe August and September, and then you know, obviously postseason will be an issue
with this. This is not I mean, this will flare up again and they'll probably take some extensive time off again to be ready for the playoffs. So, uh, from a fantasy perspective, you know, if he looks pretty good at the end of April when he comes back, and you know of all intentions that he will look pretty good, um, you know, you're probably is gonna take some time off
sometime in August to be ready for the postseason. If the Yankees make the postseason, that's what they're trying to do, So look for an extensive period of time off in August. We hear that you're just like, I'm good, and I think a lot of the times, Greg, when we have injury optimism with players, we hear a timetable when we say, all right, well, Savoreno is gonna be back in May, and all of a sudden we just think, all right, well we'll have him from May till the rest right
end of the season. Wait, fine, but you don't really factor in the possibility of all right, well, let's give him a two three week break here because we need him for the postseason. I mean, obviously the Yankees have to make it to the postseason first, but um, they you know, they have their their sights set on that, they have their sights set on October, so they need Severino for then more than anything else. I wouldn't surprise me if all right, yeah, we're get them back in May.
Might see another I Els didn't later on in the season at a different points. They rest him up and make sure he's good to go when when they need him most in the postseason. Absolutely kind of worries me. And and what I wrote about on my Patreon is I'm much more likely to be in on Severino in a keeper league dynasty. Maybe I'm aggressive there, but Redraft, I think there's a little nugget that I can give you guys here about pictures and and and the injury analytics.
So anytime you have a rotator cross strain on a throwing shoulder of a picture, you almost always historical data shows that there's always a flare up or there's an intentional rest because of the sort of the length and the grind of the season, especially starting pictures. Um, so you have to factor two to four week hiat at some point else in the season in that regard. So just that's like a rule of thumb. It's proven with historical data, and so you should definitely, you know, as
a fantasy player, always factor that in kidding me. After that, we're talking to Dr A from Inside Injuries and Doc whenever we bring up Seborino. It seems like we are almost contractually obligated to bring up Clayton Kershaw. And we talked to you about Kershaw quite a bit. But the news surrounding Kersha has been pretty good, Like he says, he basically just needs to get his army game shape and he should be back towards the end of April.
Not unlike Seborino, velocity has been declining. Obviously, his his back is not in great shape. You've been off Seborino thus far, any positive news, I'm sorry, Kershaw thus far a positive news surrounding Clayton Kershaw. So with this particular injury, UM, it looks like he's doing very well from a recovery standpoint, He's hitting his optimal recovery time. Uh. And they are in the beginning part of April in for this particular injury.
But like you said, the back injury for a arting picture is a really big worrisome factor for us on India algorithm, and and so we are we really have downgraded Kershaw for this season. I know he's a big name, and I know he's an incredible talent, et cetera. But you know, the back will catch up to him this year. And he's one year older, um, and so his injury right now, I mean, his i RC is very high right now because he's still trying to come back from
this uh shoulder injury. But by the time you know that he's healed from this particular injury, his IRC will probably be right around thirty. So unfortunately, a third of the season is really in jeopardy with Clayton Kershaw because of the back, not the shoulder, but the back. That's what we thought. Now you're dealing with those things in conjunction. You have the back that's been a chronic injury. Right shoulder. Now, I remember last year, Dock and I'll never forget this.
You said it wouldn't surprise you if in a couple of years CLAYT. Kirsha runds up in the bullpen. You know, I remember you said that last year so and and it's due to this chronic back injury, and now he has the shoulder in conjunction with that. It's just I think there's too much risk to take on your Greg. You know, if if we had another picture that and his name wasn't Clayton Kershaw and his velocity was decreasing and his skills were declined, and you know he you know,
we wouldn't even be having this conversation. Absolutely because his name is Clayton Kershaw. Doc. I feel like whenever we talk about Marino, we bring up Kershaw, and we also bring up Mike Fulton Nevitch, who has uh was the Big Three exactly, was dealing with elbow soreness the past couple of weeks. He threw a bullpen on Sunday. I've seen some reports that he could return mid April. What do you guys have on Mike Fulton Nivitch. So this is a not even a grade one injury right now,
So that's great news for him. I mean, he's at an elevated injury risk of nine. It's going to be going down. Projection A Lee probably down to thirteen percent very low to low injury risk category and right now he's at above average category, only four percentage points away from peak. So, um, you know, we haven't coming back in mid to uh late April, and that and the Braves look like they had they're right on schedule. So you know, this type of injury, um, you know it's
it's it's minor than you know. We're predicting it to be pretty minor, and he should be ready to go, you know, for all intents and purposes. Um, sort of the middle to end of April. So super positive news coming out from Mike fultonvit you're gonna be aggressive with him tonight and over the weekend. Actually you were very high, were very high Mike keeper draft uh two nights ago. Now Walker Bueller is healthy, but they've been very very cautious with Walker Bueler had the Dodgers, given that he
pushed his workload last year. He said he didn't feel right, but he pitched okay, and he was back on the mount. It might have been dead arm. He didn't exactly say that, but I know some people were speculating on dead arm guard. What do you what can you tell us doc about Walker Bueller. So I love when people say dead arm, especially not you guys, but like just you know, uh, it's there's no actual translation into medicine for dead arm,
you know. So Um, you know Walker Buler, obviously he was workhorse last year, and obviously that's gonna take a toll you know, chronically, uh there, you know, for this season, but you know, total offseason to recover. UM has to go through their appropriate precautions. Most likely will be on a pitch count again, I mean not again, but this pitch account, like so many other pictures, are UM to maybe decrease the number of innings and pictures that he throws.
Um um, you know, this year, just so that they can preserve the long term future of this guy. Um. But you know, right now, I mean we don't see really anything that can hold him back. You know, he's that peak and he's less than ten percent i r C, which is in a low risk category. So there's nothing that we're seeing right now. Pretty good, Pretty good. I
want to get away from the pictures here. I want to get an update on Francisco Indoor, who ran it near full strength, full effort in a minor league game yesterday, still dealing with this calf. I remember when we first had you on right after this injury happened. I believe you you guys were a little bit more pessimistic about it. It It could affective stolen base this year obviously. Uh that you know he needs his legs, it is. They're a huge part of what what we want from him
for fantasy purposes this season. I see that he hasn't been ruled out for Opening Day and he's trying to make that happen. Something like that scares me, Doc, because we're in this for the long haul. It's like if we missed the first week or two of the season with Lindor, that's fine. I want him completely healthy. I see like he's pushing for opening Day. Something like that scares me. What do you guys have on Francisco Lindoor.
Uh So, the biggest thing with him is the fact that he did We did say that this great three cap strain that he had back in February on February the eight would take at least eight to nine weeks optimal recovery time, and he has passed through that. He's made, you know, pretty good strides from his recovery standpoint. Um. And so originally our HTR is March and you know, eight days away, and so that's good for opening day. However, cap strain, especially for a speedy guy and a short stop,
these things tend to recur. That's why we were kind of very concerned about the ability for his stolen base count total this year because, um, you know, this is an injury that will recur um and or have a associated injury which maybe hamstring or calf, etcetera. So because it was a great three in our opinion it was a great three, that means there was some tearing of the muscle and that is going to relate the scar
tissue that's relate to recurrence of injury, etcetera. So, um, you know, even though he'll be ready to go, um, you know, from a recurrent injury standpoint, um, he's still gonna stay right around right. This is why we need a dock on every week kind of bring us back down to earth. Slapped me back in because we get so excited about it. I was getting excited about Lindor again and then I needed to hear that to try
and I'll me down a little bit. Well, let me ask another about another guy that I've been excited about, and that was Aaron Hicks whose back injury. He was hurt and then he was okay, but he had a quarter shot, corrozone shot, and then he was okay. Then the quarter zone shot and now he's okay. What's going on with Aaron Hicks? Well, um, I mean, you know,
the back is the back is the back. I don't even want to focus on the back because you know what, Um, you know, Aaron Hicks is again great talent, just signed a seventy million dollar extension and for seven years. Also just you know for seven years. Uh that's two thousand and uh six. You know it's so uh intercostal strain, hamstring,
ankle injuries all throughout two thousand and eighteen. He missed about thirty games, but didn't really play well, and a lot of them because of all these injuries old bleak strains, hamstring strains, all previous years, back injuries, etcetera. He's gonna get a lot of You're gonna hear about him and getting a lot of quarter zone shoots. The problem with this is is that when you're getting a lot of
quarter zone shots in the beginning of the season. The likelihood after a hundred and sixty games season, there's just a time where you just have too many quarter zone shots and it's just not going to be effective anymore. And so there will be a bunch of injuries that he's going to have to deal with this year. He
will spend more time on the d L than last year. Uh. And you know his we're expecting him right now when he starts the season probably be at an I R C of fort, which means he's gonna miss probably, you know, uh, seventies seventy five games this year. That's great. After season, Greg, we're so we're having so much fun and you just bring us down and it's not great. Doc. No, that's good. That's why we need the DOC. Here. I want to ask you about two Angels starting pitchers in particular, Andrewheny
and Tyler SAgs. These guys have all the talent in the world, Doc, but they're always hurt. Specifically Andrewhini dealing with the elbow injury. He's kind of been shut down here in Angels camp. Tyler Skaggs did make another start recently, was dealing with forearm tightness. So what do you have on those two guys, I know they're always banged up, but they are super talented. Yeah, you know with Um Andrewheny.
Uh you know, the elbow inflammation, that's always a red flag when you know, when we hear that those words left elbow inflammation because you know the m RID does not show structural damage. Well it does show damage, but that's just not structural you know. So remember I've always talked about these little phrases, etcetera. So there is a strain, there's a demon, there could be like you know, there's stuff there, it's just not structurally damaged, like a complete
tear of anything. So, uh, here's the problem. Starting picture, throwing shoulder, throwing elbow is the most the maximum amount of torque. This is hugely concerning for us at inside injuries with Andrewhini. Just to let you know, he's put into high injury risk category now, and you know, this is something that fantasy players definitely need to you know, consider because this is a big red flag. Tyler Skaggs, the forearm fatigue is is you know, not as uh
serious in our books as Um. You know, the elbow injury to Andrewheny. However, it is a throwing elbow slash forum type injury. It does put him into l elevated injury risk UM right around, so you know, for him to be making you know of the starts. If you're okay with that, then you should go with Tyler Skaggs. But the injury to UM, you know, Andrew Heini is a big red flag. One last question for you do before we let you go. Dylan Matances said he needs to start on the I L because he hasn't been
able to work that shoulder off. He started camp late, he had a child. I don't know if that's real. That's an excuse. But what's up with Dylan Matances and how healthy will he be? The keyword here is impingement UM,
and that's where we've targeted that. You know, they called it impingement, and they don't typically say impingement, you know, and that really concerns me because when you have impingement, that is a long drawn out process to get to that, and that will recur over and over and over and over again. Patances is going to have this problem pop up. This is a definite void if you're a fantasy player. So I own him in my main event team. Greg Oh is that what you're doing to just drop him?
Should you have spots? Do not have DL spots. It's a thirty man roster. I have seven seven bench spots. I might not have a toy screat It sucks because I think Patances is super talented. But that is not A rine impingement is a difficult diagnosis, guys. It's it's it's where they're spurring on the clavicle and the chromean process and it basically pushes down into the rotator er cough. He's gonna have to have surgery to fix it eventually,
and that's the problem. That's an issue. He's a free agent after this year, so we'll be long for but this year we'll see about that now dry inside injuries. We appreciate the time as always. We also appreciate the good news, not so much the bad news. We'll do again next week. Thanks for joining us, man, all right, good to be with you, guys. When we come back,

We went over this during the brakeread it's a vicious serp. You wouldn't help me fill out my bracket, and in turn I go against the teams
that you want to win. And then because of that, it's not even next, it's not even, it's doesn't not even just like rooting for them, Like, all right, you're in for your team, it's fine, like actively screaming let's go Golden Goldmers. He was like, why, why why could you be a friend? Well, who told you to take Louisville and your survivor? Greg? I did you didn't even ask me my opinion? You don't watch Challenge Basketball? Well, I obviously know enough to know that the Golden Gophers
are winning right now by four points. They are winning by four points as a fact, and you took Yale over L. S U. Man, you got the big upset there, Why not fourteen over the three? Who cares? I mean, look, I have no L. S U. Background, doesn't matter me. I'm sure you have a few friends that went to Yale. Great, I don't know anybody as Yale in my life. Now you and your boys Yale? What's the what's the Yale? Old dogs? I believe old dogs terps and the dogs
chilling together. I don't know anyone wants Yale. Frank, you have a lot of perceg justus friends. Do I more than I do? I definitely definitely more than I do? All right? In terms of prestige in college background l s UN's do a quick make seven? Nothing to start here? Not looking good for you? Whatever? Just a bracket. I don't care about that. Um, I care about my Is there money on the line of your bracket? Well, obviously so there's not. There's not anything on that. Well it's
it's the free ones. But you know, get it right, you can win a bunch of money. That's actually hysterically you carry. You're literally rooting on your free racket. When I have money on something, You're just not interested. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't go against you? A friend? You in everything that you do, you would be you would be a friend. Thank you for being a friend. Are you a big speaking of Golden Gophers? Are you a big fan of Golden girls? Greg? Oh?
Is this another one of those things where you just kind of missed out on it during your childhood. Old Girls wasn't everything, wasn't Golden Girls like much much older than us. I don't know. I watched it a lot when I was growing up. Golden Girls is like the seven of my grandparents and stuff, right any mutch the Golden Girls, you don't know anything about them. So if I asked you who was your favorite, you wouldn't have an answer to that, obviously. No, I don't even know.
I don't know. I can't know. I don't know if any of the girls are any of them far faster Golden Girl, I don't know. I don't know Betty White. Come on, Greg, you gotta know Betty White. I know bet you know she was a Golden Girl. Then what's for those watching, for those listening on the radio. I mean, I'm making faces at you right now. Greg. You don't know any of the Golden Girls at all. You don't, I don't understand. I don't know what to tell you.
No cartoons, no Golden Girls. It was just rooting on his terms as a little child. As long as the terms we have. Anyone downstairs who've seen the Golden girls. I mean, I feel like Vona has to love the Golden Girl. Why are we talking about the golden girls? You know which march madness is on talking about golden girls. I'm not doing this anymore, not love golden girls. Who's your favorite Golden Girl? Betty White? Easily? Easily hands down? Can we can we talk about like sports now please?
Unbelievable tells about your childhood. So anyway, So today the Marriagers picked up their second consecutive victory in Japan over the A's. Each year, O Suzuki's final game as a major leaguer, uh any each year O re member? Did I watched it live? Any each year? O memories as a child? You're talking about childhood, Frank m M. Nothing crazy stands out to me for each year. I remember a couple of years ago when I worked at MLB dot com he got his three thousand pitch or Eclipse
three thousand as a member of the Marlins. It was very cool. Absolutely that stands out to me. You know, each year, obviously winning that m VP his first season, along with the Rookie of the Year, incredibly impressive. How good he was was remarkable, how consistent he was one that was only you were thirty at that point I was ten. How consistent he was throughout his career, the arm was always ridiculous. That was awesome, that was very
very cool. I thought, I'm looking at his yearly games played. I'm gonna talk about an iron man. Yeah, I played a million games. Yeah, his first listen to four six eight years, never played below a hundred fifty seven games. He's great. Man. I don't tell you. I mean, you don't have to tell me anything. Yeah, man, he's really good. I've never actually looked at his his yearly production, so maybe you don't know how good he was. Being perfectly honest,
I didn't. I didn't play Fantasy BASEBA when I was ten years old. Yeah, a good pick. I sud start playing fantasy baseball until two thousand eight, two thousand nine, that was my senior year of high school. I started playing fantasy baseball in two thousand and three oh three, not that I Dada played before I did, though, like with my friends, it was like my dad friends, it was like oh, three oh four or something like that. Yeah, were you in high school then, m yeah, yeah, but
my dad played before I was in high school. I was into it. I didn't. I didn't join the league of my friends to my freshman year of high school. Did your pops get you into fancy? Yeah? Yeah, same here. Yep. Actually my dad used to play when I was a kid and he had to mail the team in. It was really the internet. Wow, I mean think about it, like the The Internet didn't really start popping off until nineties. Yeah, so I'm a kid, he's asking this, you know, what
do you want to name the team? Um? You know when he wanted to make pickups and stuff and lineup you have to mail it in. It was crazy, That's awesome. I got Johnny Stani want to get into it. I don't know we was. We signed Johnny up for baseball, for t ball, he just wasn't from Yeah, yeah, I mean wrestling. You're also in your wrestling that wrestling household? Did you got you got into it? Johnny was big on wrestling and Batman, remember he was He was Batman
for Halloween for eight years in a row. Is you did into wrestling? Yeah? Sure, big, big, big time. Yeah. We actually have tapes. Tapes he used to uh. He used to record Way Night Rawn, like pay per views of stuff. I remember It is actually very funny. I remember this, This is very vividly. I I got a sixty five and some science test it was like bad science. Not Greg's absolutely not m anyway, what's happened? They called the charges out of a block, which is crazy. Um,
let's go gold and go first. This is he's he's whatever. So so sixty five. My dad, so I didn't study hard enough, so he didn't let me watch It was the raw after Mania Raw after spress Mania fourteen. Right, it was right after Mania fourteen. So I wasn't allowed to watch it. And the next day, like I went to school and where all everyone was talking about it. I didn't get to see it, but I figure out what because they're talking about it. So my dad, So my dad said, come on, who's the bass? Like are
you grabing me? Not? So not you if I tape row for you so you can watch it now. So that was the raw that Xbox came back and debuted with Triple H and d X and the New Age Outlaws joined d X as well. That's a great raw. And indeed, so I want to start Hunter Strickland because there's a lot of questions in regards to Hunter Strickland right, he's how good he would be. It will be the closer peripherals, all that nonsense. Two games, two saves, he's on pace for a hundred and sixty two with them
probably people a little lone Hunter Shreckland. I think, you know, if people for people who haven't drafted yet, he's gonna get pulled up aboards big time. Greg And I think, you know, he definitely should move up in the rankings because he's the closer as of right now. And you know, we can only say that about fifteen sixteen guys in baseball, and now he's one of them. You know, I had
Hunter Strickland ranked outside my top thirty. Just looking at this now, I feel like I should move him, let's say, up to one e two in that area in terms of the rankings for for relief pictures, I feel like he should be in that Jose Alvarado David Robertson area because David Robertson, as good as he is, you don't know if he's gonna get every same opportunity he's not.
I mean, Gabe Kapler employed a closer by committee last year, probably gonna do the same this season with David Robertson and tr Anthony Dominguez, And you don't know who the Rays are gonna have for sure, Hunter Strickland, while you know he might not be the best picture of all time, the marriage might win not might not win the most games this season, he's a closer. Should I have him ranked even higher? I mean, how high would you pull him on the board? Should he go in like that?
Cody Allen? So that's where I had him originally, And so we talked to Jim and he's like, he's not good. You don't do this. He's the guy sport Zack was was battling it out for the closer job. What I believe Anthony Swarzak has heard Greg. I don't even think he's with him right now. He hasn't. He hasn't. He didn't pitch in either game, Anthony. Yeah, he's opening a year on the on the injured list right shoulder injuries. So that was that was the main comp correct. Yeah.
Also we mentioned briefly at the top of the show, Domingo Santana home run yesterday, soul on base today. And I don't think I got to this on the air. I think I spoke to you guys about it off air. I saw a tweet yesterday about Edwin and Carnacione. There was him, he was seen giving advice to Domingo Santanana. And this these are one of the narratives in baseball that I could buy into. When you bring in a veteran,
both players are from the Dominican Republic. You know, a veteran like Edwin and Carnacion, he has a lot of knowledge that he can can give to a player like Domingo Santana. I mean, they're not that dissimilar. I mean they know. Domingo strikes out a lot, he has big pop in his bat. Uh, you know, he has more
speed than a guy like Incarnacion ever had. But you know, if there are a few things that he can learn here and there from Incarnacione, maybe that's the difference between him hitting, you know, twenty five home runs and thirty plus. So I buy into things like that big year coming for Domingo. Big year, I hope so for Domingo Santana. Basically this week though, these these two days, UM, anybody you've had in fantasy unfreaking believable you've had in fantasy
basketball the last couple of days fantasy baseball. This is where my head's at today. Obviously I'm not a I'm in one place. Um no, my my mind's again in in one places, but it's not a fantasy baseball. Anybody you've had that's kind of been productive, right, You've got the home run today from Mitch Hannigan. Great, you got the home run yesterday, fro Chris Davis, home run yesterday from Steven Biscotty, stolen base yesterday from he hasn't do
much right the home run, home run. But but pretty much anybody that you've had been pretty successful, even you know Kuchi, I don't he didn't get the win, but Kakuchi pitch, which okay it was in Japan, hold know not. He goes four and two thirds and he's pitched three strikeouts, is thrown in his first start too, So alright, I mean, pretty good start there only only one on the run allowed, goes ninety pitches, So that's that's That's how I think. One takeaway here that I have Greg, which is maybe
under the radar. I remember the other day we had Gentleman Colin asking us about a only Chad Pinder has started both games. Greg started for the ogan A's. Both of them have been in left field, and I know Chad Pinder was one of these guys who randomly popped up on a lot of stat cash starts last year. Greg, So, he's gonna have the opportunity to play every single day at Pinder Any interest I think in in ale only leagues, yes, I don't plays anyone has a pulse, correct, I don't.
I don't think in deeper mixed leagues. I'm interested yet now I don't thirteen home runs in ten games last year. He had fifteen home runs two years ago and only eighty seven games, Greg, So strikes out a decent amount, but if he plays every day, might get closer to home runs. Again, This is a only I mean, exactly deeper leagues, exactly for your twelve team leagues. I mean, I don't think Ad Pinner's on the radar, but it is worth mentioning that he has started both games in
left field, and he took over first base today. Greg, you know why because Madelson got hurt. So Matt Olson got hit in the hands. That's another player that didn't really do anything besides get hurt. Met Olsen and run scored today. Okay, smet Olsen got hurt. That's obviously very frustrating to us. Hopefully telling serious hope you like break his finger and break his hand would be so frustrating. Um but all right, but Olson one of those guys that, you know, hopefully we get more out of it. They
did face two left handed starting pitchers. They started both games, and then started both of those Rosser resource actually hits him as a platoon player. They also want to note they faced two left handers, and even deep in the game from Matt Olsen, they faced lefty. Medilson stayed in the game, so I thought that was good. Medals is gonna play every day. But he was one of these players. He played every single game last year. So now it sucks that you got hit on the hand. We'll see
what happens with this. We're only speculating, but if he potentially, you know, has to miss any time, that's gonna suck from add Olsen. But they have Chad Pinder who can fill in Jerkson profile who they can move around the diamond as well. They have Mark Canna who play against left handed pitching. But Medelsen was, you know, someone who played every single day last year. I didn't worry about splits coming in. I don't worry about him against left
handed pitching. H just hope that he's healthy. See Medson, Mike Fires look particularly terrible, like like like you would expect. Yeah, he's pitching is the A's pitching is atrucious, very bad. That's why they need a Lozardo. Greg, like, it's really bad. You want to know who is in their rotation as of right now, Greg, roster Resource has two starting pictures. Is there any starter you can make? Fires and Marco is strata and they both got two pictures that started
the past. Gastroto didn't get bombed. What do you give a three year and runs not quality the first day? I thought, when I woke up today and was looking at the box score, when I see Marco Astrada's name, I mean, he's just someone I want to play everyone against me. Honestly, you gave him three runs, two of them are home runs. I mean, this guy is just he's a t ball totally totally like the other starters. What are the other starters old right now? I mean,
Roster Resource only has two guys in their rotation. Other players that they have inactive include britt Anderson, so he's that. Um. They have Frankie Mantas as long relief, who actually wouldn't have my attend. Montas Man is one of those guys. He was He was a big prospect a couple of years ago and then just kind of fell off the face of the earth. But we were streaming him at some point last year. I know we were, So maybe maybe he's one. They have Chris Bassett as inactive, so
maybe he's in the rotation as well. They have him listed as a starting pitcher. Aaron Brooks not Aaron Brooks who played in the NBA, former Oregon deductor Aaron Brooks, the football player there for that played for the Saints would be I don't think so. But Frankie Mantas you asked it. Would I have interest in anyone in the a's rotation anybody? I think Frankie Mantas is a name that outside of him. No thanks, all right, Um, did anybody's value go significantly up or down over the last
two days? I don't think we should judge much based on two days. People are very reactionary, very very reactionary. I could see Ryan hen See, Domingo Santanna it was keeps climbing well. But the only hiddie guy really has two hits right. One was the home run was a double. I was he it was grand sire. It's a home run and he's stottle base though. Just a little reminder, hey, I can steel fifteen bases this year. That's it. Nobody else moves like the d Gordon move for you at all.
Liked Gordon, like seeing him at the talblet, the line up running really an active target of mind. It's just it comes down to roster construction for the weekend. In the main event, had a lot of badding. Amrhage had power and he steals and get Gordon. But I've been a little reminder of de Gordon. That was one. So that's good. That was male Smith heard he's gonna lead off. So for me, what I what I've learned about the last two days. A little reminder of de Gordon, little
reminder of Steven Piscotti. Those are two things I learned. Bencher joined his next BF Hour two rolls on after this
