You know, I just show up up I want and get paid a whole lot less. Also, so uh we we used to do this Royal preview

shows that started that with four man show. It was myself, Frank, Johnny and Mike Floria Florio left us the bastard that he is. Then the show became a a three man show between myself, Frank and Johnny. We are now on your three of this is your three or four three? All right, you're three of this. Frank has left us because he's too good for us now. He is not a man of the people. He's probably too busy staring at baseball stats that nobody cares about. And instead we

welcome in our buddy, Kevin Walsh. Kevin, what's happening? I'm not too much excited to be here. Royal Rumble time? It doesn't get much better than that. And uh, you know, I've been going back and forth. Do I not know what's gonna happen because I'm paying a little less attention? Or is it just really an unpredictable Royal Rumble Year? It's never unpredictable, Kevin. That's a lie. So how this this program normally works is we we go through the car and we break it down, We talk about what's

happening and wrestling WW specifically Arrogan works for them. We don't promote other companies on this show, so we will stay focused. When here rest of the tn A. So Eric Young he's not here today contractual obligations, of course, So we will break down the royal rumble, Johnny. Uh, what's the first match on the card. Uh, I'm gonna go with we're talking pre show whatever the card is. Probably

Shamus versus Shorty G. Why is that a match? It's gonna ask you the same thing. Good thing. I got it at first. It's a they have Shamus come back. You know, he's doing this whole there's no more men on SmackDown gimmick and he just seems to be a lot of men on SmackDown. I agree, but but not the man. Gosh at a bell? Thank you? There you go, alright, continue, but apparently not as manly as Shamus is. And the person who sites that target is Shorty Ga. He's a

short guy, I'm assuming, so nice alright. So basically Shamus big pale fellow with orange hair. Uh, he's back to looking like a real uh hell fellow with orange hair and to what else for a while with some with some like nose ring thing. So that was he looked pretty stupid. Now he looks less stupid as what I'm kind of referring to. So he's back. He's facing Chad Gablout at a Shorty G, which is basically he's Gimming's

just he's short, but he he tries hard. So basically Vince is saying, you're short, you'll never be good enough. So given that Vince owns the company, I expect that a man's man will beat the short guy. Kevin. I'll take Shorty G because this is right. If this is gonna continue, I'm assuming this is. You know, I know we're still early and Shamus coming back, but this feels like you're classic roll up spots surprise when and this will carry out a little bit longer between Shamus and

the short man. I gotta disagree with you. I'm just gonna say this is just Shamus coming back, just gonna show his dominance, and Shorts have to be the guy who's in his way. So that's just what dot com and their front page is like a royal rumble banner, right, and it shows Rock Lesner and Becky lations. That would be a cool fight Rock versus back. He kind of kind of down right like that. That'd pretty cool. It seems it seems unlikely though, but uh yeah, that kind

of got me. I kind of got me excited. All right, So we vicked Shamus, both of us. Kevin, you are going with shorty g Yeah, huh, I see, Okay, I don't. I don't actually have the matches in front of me, but I'll try to do it from memory. We'll go quickly so we can talk about the rumble and in wrestling in general. Next up, we have Bailey defending her

SmackDown Women's Championship. Is still happening, Yes, are SmackDown Women's Championship against Lacey Evans, who is basically Liberty Bell from the program Glow and is her That is her gimmick she if you watch Glow on Netflix, it's about this blonde, all American woman who is fights for you and fights for her kid. And that's what Lacey Evans is. Uh, Kevin, we'll go to you first for this. I'll take Bailey.

I feel like she is really now finding herself within this more of a Hell character, if you will, And I still can't help but thinks she is on somewhat of a collision course with her current best friend real life best friend. But Eventually all things lead to WrestleMania against Sasha Banks, and she will need the title to carry that out. Doesn't it seem like that's where this

one is going with with at this moment. Yet, with Bailey and Sasha, they're kind of just both in the middle of this hell d a run where unfortunately that Charlotte and Becky on SmackDown. It's kind of like, all right, it's the two of them and everybody else. I know they're trying to build other people up. Lady doesn't feel like she's there for me yet, johnnyh Yeah, I gotta agree. Um,

I'm gonna agree actually with Kevin on this one. I think Bailey is gonna retain here and I think, like you just said, they're gonna go for a crash course with Sasha Banks and Wustamania. I think you do? You do? You do? I absolutely agree with that. So who do you Who do you think the baby face there is? I think it has to be Sasha. You can't just turned Bailey, but he just turned Sasha. I mean, but he's no for me. We just keep turning people left to right. It is. It is difficult, right. I think

that's a good point. You bring up there, Greg as to which one has to turn. What I what I like about it though, is whichever one turns you will actually be able to get people to buy into because if Sasha does it again and it's like again with her, she's always the here and Bailey is good and getting that sympathy when she has a great heal to go

up against, So people will be fine with that. But if you also do go the more unpredictable route, which is Bailey continuing to be the heel, says I'm beating you to the punch, Sasha. I've seen how you've been staring at my title and like you want to do this in Mania. Let's do this because we all remember one of the greatest women's matches and the history of wrestling, not just the company, the history of wrestling was these two at Takeover. Give them the grandest stage of them all.

Saying that for a while would be interesting. They'll probably insert Charlotte in there because I need to all right, well, I want to talking about a whole cards to go over stick here out We're Rumble Talk next. Why well, because they had this whole storyline with Andrew and Ray which was was pretty good storyline, absolutely fantastic matches happened there This week on Rob he went to go do his hammer lock DDT on the concrete and Umberto Corea, who he did it to prior, has been out, it has come back, made the save. Now they're making good. The problem is nobody cares about Umberto Coreo agreed, I agree, I'm not. I'm not sold on him yet. However, here's

the thing. Right, Like Rad's got and with with his manager's Alina Vega, like that personality, like pretty cool looking, I got some cool moves, this guy just looks like a shorter, worst version of him. And that's the issue. And I guess I got not think against Americo Korea, but like Kevin, that guy is not interesting me at all. Andrade, who I was not interested in an n x T until he turned heel and got the manager. But he's cool. The other guy not cool, well so, and that's probably

why Andrade is an incredibly safe pick for this one. However, these are still two very talented wrestlers, and what I would like to see with this run here from ANDRADI with the United States Championship is if you will a work rate belt, a belt that when it's defended, you are getting the highest caliber of matches in the company. No, I do not think that Corea is the guy to take this belt off of him. And No, I don't know how much I'll care about him outside of this match.

But these two can go out there and in terms of pure wrestling, cause I don't know how much you know the rumble, you know what I'm talking about here, this could be the best match on the show. Well, the question is how much time they ultimately yet absolutely see. I will highly doubt for the record, this is on the main card. I assume this will be during the pre show. There's no way this match makes the main card.

There's no way I'll need to fuel time. So I'll take and drawn because I think of a word of career sucks and I'm not interested in him in that anyway. Shape or four. I almost all right, So we're all the same page. Uh yet again, Let's move on to Roman Rains is taking on his arch rival King Corman in a few that has been going on for about seventy four years. Um, they feuded over they always feud about, which is Aaron Corbyn says bad stuff Roman Reins is

the conquering hero. Uh. Corbyn has his cronies and Dolve Ziggler and Bobby rude Um. They brought back the usos who don't drink and drive anymore, supposedly Uh to be on the backs of Roman rains, which is great. So now all six of these guys are Sholby and voled in this match in some way, Barry Corby has gotten better, all Roman reigns a few times. This hopefully is to blow off to this feud. Kevin, I don't know that.

The thing about this that really, like I don't understand why this match is happening is, if I'm not mistaken, both of these men are going to be in the Royal Rumble falls count anywhere. Matches are not supposed to be something that you just get up from and completely shake off. Here, I'll tell you what I would have

said Roman confidently. But Greg, you were talking, we're talking a little bit prett show about how things could play out later on in the night, And now it actually worries me that there's a real chance that Corbin does end up winning this match. Ultimately that's the director. I'll go, Okay, this is great. I think this is a Roman finally gets his win over Corbin. Like he said, I think this is where they cap off this story and that's

it with that. So let's say this if I don't get to the room one a moment, but if I think the Romans one where I think it is we've seen before last year Becky Lynch may a prime example that they have this person lose earlier in the night so you don't see the wind coming later. They do it a lot. I thought they were gonna do it back with Daniel Brian against Bray White many years ago. They didn't. They did do it last year with Becky. I think we could see that again with Corbyn picking

up a win. Then maybe next month they have another match with his title shot on the line, just to extend it a little bit. There's nothing else going on on SmackDown really, um so I can see that happening. So I'll take Roman, but I really could see Corby winning. There's Kevin, I am with you. I mentioned I mentioned Daniel Bryan and I mentioned Bray Why they're fighting once again? Uh? What five years later here at the Royal Rumble? Uh

this year for the title. As Kevin, you were saying off the air before, and you too, Johnny, the Fiend are the is the hottest property currently in w W E. Daniel Bryan has certainly gained some of that popularity and momentum back that he has. Oh. I think with Daniel Brian is Roy will never be as hot as he was five years ago. Number two. You know he's he's great, but he's kind of just a guy that's gonna give you a great match. They're not probably gonna put in

this prime position. And as they go all full steamer heads to wrestle Mania, I don't think they go in the WrestleMania Brian is the champ. I think they go it would go in with Bray Wyant as the champ. I think that Ray why Fiene will win this match? Kevin, Yeah, I said this kind of we're talking about it downstairs. I don't know how the Fiene ever loses a match.

Like we saw what happened at Holland himself. At no point was he been able to put away despite every single plausible thing being thrown at him until he loses. I will pick him win every single match. Ka faith is still alive. Yeah, I gotta agree with that. I I think The Fiend is gonna be the one here to beat Daniel Brian. I think he's I think he's on a straight shot to Mania with that title. Absolutely. I think I think Brian will be the best match that he's had. I think it'll be close and he'll

see a bunch of near falls there or Brian. Ultimately, I think the the Fiend will prevail, though he is going to WrestleMania as the hottest thing in the company. I totally agree with that will be special, entrance will be special. You're absolutely right, and and that's one of the reasons why he has to be featured in an a by time match. Alright, one of the matches and we will hit the break, we'll get to one Rombow and they'll get to the other rubble, and that is

Becky Lynch defending her title versus Oscar. And I love when falls into these uh storylines that they never planned right. So, for reasons unconscionable, Becky tapped out to Oscar last year the Royal Rumbo. The only reason was because she wouldn't see her winning the row Bow coming, even though everybody knew she was gonna win, So she taps out to Oscar last year, and where did they go with it nowhere?

They don't mention it for a good year. And then all of a sudden, Becky hasn't defended the title like six months, and they needed a challenger for her because she wasn't gonna be in the rub but you have to feature one of your biggest stars on the show. They needed an opponent for her, so oh, they somehow somebody pitched, Hey, Becky can't beat Oscar. She's never beating Oscar. She tapped out one year ago to Oscar, and it's turned into you know, honesty. The match I'm most looking

forward to on this card is Becky versus Oscar. I think Oscar gets the most out of Becky. Her match last year at Roy Rabel's arguably the best match of Becky's career. It was fantastic, it was enjoyable. You didn't know who's gonna win. You do know who's gonna win this time because where the storyline has to take you. But I'm excited for Becky and Oscar. I thought this match. I think this match has been built up hello the other title match as the best match on the show

on the card. Johnny looking forward to this one. Yeah, I gotta agree to you on that one. I think it's gonna be a really good match. But like you said, it's pretty obviously he's gonna win this one. It's gonna be Becky Lynch. I think she's also on a straight shot to Mania as the champion of that title for a full year. I agree. I think that's gonna be the storyline there, and then she's gonna she's gonna go at it just like I'm the man. No one could

beat me. Kevin. It's just frustrating moment they did fall backwards into this because we should be entering this match without this off he has answer that Becky is going to be winning her There is a great story to be told. Oscar should be booked as one of the top wrestlers in the entire company. She's the tag champion. No one even at the moment, really nobody cares about those titles right now, Like this should be a beautifully

told story. One year later at the Rumble, Becky finds a way and continues this incredible run with the title, and instead it's I hope the match is good. We all know the result. Yeah, and that's okay, and Becky still remains the hottest seeing the company. She is the biggest star in the company mainstream. Her and Roman together uh are they have the company on their backs and it works. You hear the pops, you see the merchandise, and the shows are built around her. And for good reason.

She uh she's everything she says she was, and it's worth And you know, they fell asked backwards into the storyline, just like they fell ask backwards into Becky Lynch. And you can say what you want about Charlotte, truly that they wanted her to be the person, but I wanted her to be the man for lack of better term, and that became Becky. And for a good reason. She's

taking the ball and she's running with her. Wow? Um? Give me? And this is the interesting right because we don't really know, you know, who's like the whole field? Right, So you want to get

a decent crowd reaction. Someone who can I think also hang for the length I'll take. Sasha Banks such such a base. Uh, it's always one or two. In the two years that she's done this something like that, it's been one or two both times. I believe you're saying she made three for three. John He's number one for you. I'm going with Alexa Bliss. That's cool. That kind of fits the mold. We haven't really seen her do much lately, and I think we better way to show off your

talent and be number one in the rumble. So I'm kind of mean tooth. I love where you're going with Alexa Bliss. Where you go with Sasha makes sense. I think you get a chance of one and two being Sasha and Charlotte. I think you can always been back to that in some order. That gets everything that you want, but you also need because there are so a few females that are super over. Charlotte's one of those, So

you're gonna get that massive pop somewhere. I really like the Alexa Bliss call at number one because you have that for injury music so good where it's don and you're like, all right, get the big pop, right, that's cool. I'll agree with you because I can't get any better like alexiblit number one. Tell me because you're now the one in my in my mind, and be shocked she's not coming at one. Who comes at it too? So I heard about someone returning. I'm gonna go with Naomi's

whole like I feel the glow entrance. That's what I'm gonna go with on that one. That's cool. If we're gonna go with Kanda Sasha coming out, I think I really like we're saying with Greg with in terms of Charlotte being able to come out, because when it's one and two, you want a moment between whoever or one and to stand in the ring. in town for where worlds collide. She I believe is facing Riha Ripley, who probably will be in the rumbles, should go a nice pop at some point as well. Uh, Tony Storm, why not? She's like half blonde these days. Tony Storm. So Tony Storm versus Sasha Bays I'd be pretty cool. Yeah, that's a pretty cool domination. I will go with somebody else that we haven't spoken about that I think is going to return. I think it'll be Alexiblis one. Nia Jack's a number two. Of course they

have history together, the history together. It's a return. She'll get some crowd reactions from which is really what you're looking for. I think they only makes sense. I think Tony Storm makes sense in their own right. But I will go with Nya. Jack's number two in the Royal Rumbo? All right, who has the most eliminations? Kevin, It hasn't

for me. I feel strongly it has to be Charlotte Flair because this is this is a record that matters in terms of the roy Rumble last the longest and who has the most eliminations, and you Charlotte is going to by the time she retires have one of the most impressive resumes that you will ever see any wrestler, male or female with. This will be another one that she'll be able to put on or her belt. Charlotte Flare eliminates most people. I was gonna go with Charlotte Flair.

I think that they've been billing her as like the woman for this this from work here, so I'm gonna agree that she's gonna have the most do nations in this match. Yeah, it seriously makes sense. I'm not gonna argue with you, guys. I like it. I think Charlotte

could definitely do that. They never been back. Also makes sense going back to that because like the use does her back, so she can come back now if man Jack's comes out at two though, like you're saying, I mean, she's someone who's gonna be able to eliminate a lot of people even at two. Though even if she's in there untill ten, she could get like six. Sure, I listen,

I'm not disagreeing with any of that. Um Like the Charlotte idea, I think that ultimately makes trying to talk him off for our answer, Johnny, next question, who lasts longest in the rumble? Johnny, I'm also gonna go with Charlotte Flair here. I think she's coming in early. Stay. She couldn't like number three stayed in the end. Uh yeah, probably between like three and ten, and I think she's gonna be like there till the end. I'll say this, I'm gonna take her at three. Isn't that when her

dad came in to win the rumble? That can maybe one and to three. I like that symmetry. She stays into the end and loses. But I'll think Charlotte Flarett number three she's going down lasting the longest. I mean it's kind of connected, but for me again at Sasha Banks. Even if she's not one or two, I think she's out there by the top town, and I think she's out there until at least the final five. All right, give me the surprise entry. We were all kind of

named once. Let's do another one. It is the women's Rumbles, so it it's a little bit easier because we don't really know that many participants. I've already said, Nia Jacks, you've gone with Tony Storm, You've gone with Naomi. Let's go around the room again. I'll start with you for this one. A surprise editent in the Royal Room really doesn't count. Yeah, And I don't know how much of a surprise, but I think Bianca bel Air or someone that I really want to be teatured in Miss Royal Rumble.

I think she has star potential. Uh that is very very clear to see. And I'd like to see her come in and have a couple of really cool moments. And they're gonna go at Kenneth lay in this match. I think you know she's a she's a good worker down NXC needs some talent to mess with the upper yupper talent, So I think it's gonna go with that. So I think I will go with Casey Canazara because she had a cool moment last I think they could do something cool again in that in that role for her. Uh,

so we'll go with her. All right? Up next and Johnny Staffle's questions, here, give me your final four, john Hey, I got Charlotte Flair, Shana Basler Italia. I had to pick a I want to pick a dark horse out of the dark Why do you like to her? Achilles not agree. I don't think she'll be back in time. Maybe next year's rumble. Okay again, uh we's talk about saying, how about Ronda Rowsy? Sure you gotta go with that? There you go, Kevin, Yeah, I'll go Sasha, Charlotte, Shana, Rhonda.

I don't know if we'll get four for four, but if all four of those women are in the match, basically it's if Ronda will be in the match, that will be the final four. The standoff will be incredible for horsewomen stuff all that. Yes, I think those three

makes sense, Sasha, Shana, and Charlotte. I don't think if Rhonda's in the rumble she wins, but I will haven't given my pick out on air yet, And because I don't think Rhonda wins the rumbull, I don't think Rhonda's in the rumble, So I will say it's Sasha, I will say it's Charlotte. I will say it's Shana, And that means I really could use another face. That's Holly. You mentioned the so for me another face? Gosh, he's no,

there's no issue. Um, I will go We'll go with Billy K. Let's go Billy K. So she looks around like, oh, oh damn, what did I do the star last year when she refused to enter the rank, She's like, I'm waiting for Baton. Was the best? Should have lasted so much longer. You know what, it's not gonna Billy Can's and Joe. I think really Ripley as one of the final four. That's really good. That's cool, that's cool, right? Who wins the Women's Royal Rumble? For me, I've been

saying it for months since Survivor series. It was the only thing that made sense. Shana Basler wins the row. Robot goes on the face. Becky beat Becky at WrestleMania. Uh, it's a challenger has been built up, She's done everything she can in n XD. It will either be Shane Beseler Rondo Rousy against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania. I think they said this entire thing up for Shana. She's might picked them with the Rubbot Johnny, I'm also gonna go

with Shana Basler. I think she's I think that's the biggest lock of the night, right, So yeah, I mean predictability Sometimes it's okay because it means it's the right answer. I think Shana makes all the sense in the world and honestly right with terms of the Rhonda stuff. Part of the reason why I don't think it could be Rhonda is if she comes back, it's fair to say Fox would really want their hands on her. She does not make as much sense I believe into the Bailey

and the Sasha on the SmackDown sides of the thing. Obviously, right, it's her and Becky who are connected. So I think it is Shana Basla. It's a great point. It's a really really smart point. If Ronda's back, She's going on Fox. Like they put every put Roman on Fox, they put Coal Engraves on five. It's like Ronda goes to Fox. When she goes back. I'm sure that's in an agreement somewhere, and it doesn't make sense. I think it's a really

really good point with you here, with Shane as well. Yeah, I have to be the only way if she would actually basically have to win the Rumble and take her shots sooner get the title and then be smacked a women's champ and then go versus Becky in a title like champion versus Champion match at Mania. And I just think we're doing too much. I think Shana makes a

lot of sense. All right, anything else on the Women's Rumble, you want to mention any other surprise than any other anything else that you're thinking of, Johnny, No, not really, that's not helpful. I think the really interesting thing here is the confidence that we all have in Shana Basler. I think it does say a lot to her run in n x T, because people coming up from n x T and winning, I don't think it's something that we've really seen a lot during this run, but as

n x T s build credibility. But you look at it, she has dominated every single person that she's gone verse during that run, and she has the charisma, the character, the presence if you will to stand across the ring from Becky Lynch. There was a shot the other night when she was in that Battle Royal for the next shot at the Women's UH Next two Women's Championship, and every single woman is staring at her and she's just like,

come on, let's do it. And typically right, that's like something that you would see from The Big Show or brock Lessner. Shana Basler does it and it's like, oh yeah, she's badass. So now question Sina wins, Rumble goes to me and fight Becky. Do we finally get entrance wives like four horsemen and four horsemen? No? No, no, because I think Bailey and Sash are doing their own things still.

I think we we discussed well unless where Charlotte Flair Dorrestmania, you gotta do something the it's if Ronda's back and if Rohn is not in any of these title pictures, that makes sense. The only thing for Rona makes sense is Becky right now? And does Becky even really makes sense right now? It makes sense because Becky's Nolan that's ever beaten here, So it has to be Becky if we all agree it's not because it's Shana. What is Charlotte.

Do Now here's another angle, right, Rhonda wins the Robot, Charlotte fight China, Like, all right, I think we're all signing up for that. That's cool. You give me Rhonda, Becky, Charlotte and Shana. I mean, I'm torn between the two worlds, Like, would I'd rather see Rock fight someone who I know Rock is gonna beat, right, or see him do something different in the rumble, but just putting your world champing in the rumble just I don't know, it's like a bad taste in my mouth. You don't like it? Nope, not at all. I'm a big fan actually for me, every match, every single time he's been wrestling out the Rumble. Some of them have been good matching, right, the Finn Baller

match was good. It's waste of time, we know he's gonna win, and seven scene of match is awesome. Yeah, Like, I I like what I like about this as well. Two aspects. We gotta get it moving. Where Rock is just sitting in the ring by himself, just kind of waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for what. I don't know, So like if if Chad Gable wasn't wrestling somewhere something like that. So for me, my number two picked to come out, we stop for Ali. I think we stop Ali will be number two.
