I interviewed my sister-in-law about her experiences as a Black woman and mother. I'm thankful for Anthonia's honesty. I learned about some of my blind spots. I’m so grateful for her willingness to share her heart when, truthfully, words probably fall flat. I deeply regret that it took me this long to ask these questions, but Anthonia doesn’t want people to feel sorry- she wants us to feel provoked to action against a system that works against her, her daughter and every person of colour.
