Episode description

In 2019, the state published the Reproductive Privacy Act, enshrining the Roe standard into state law and making Rhode Island a safe state. That being said, abortion in Rhode Island can be complicated, due to the only provider in-state being its branch of Planned Parenthood. Thankfully, there are a variety of online resources found through AbortionFinder.org that will guide those seeking a termination to their pregnancy using pill-based methods.

If someone under the age of 17 is seeking an abortion, they will need either the consent of one of their parents or contact the clinic to initiate a judicial bypass procedure, though the latter is almost always granted. If you're in need of funding, check out Rhode Island's Women's Health & Education Fund, arrangements for which can be made through whichever health center you visit.
