Episode description

North Carolina is a haven state with Democrat Roy Cooper as its governor and Josh Stein as its attorney general, both of who have been working to protect abortion rights not only for those living in the state but those visiting it as well. However, it may not continue to be a safe state if North Carolinians vote for Republicans in the upcoming November midterms.

Post-Dobbs, people seeking abortions have lost four weeks of access due to reduced protections, plus a ban after 20 weeks and six days. There is also an age restriction in place for those not of the age of majority, however there is a judicial bypass route in place that will allow those seeking abortions to evade this restriction.
