The North Star State has long been a safe state for abortion, and is a haven for those from surrounding states seeking a termination to their pregnancies. Ramsey County District Judge Thomas A. Gilligan, Jr. has struck down almost all of the restrictions placed on abortion that had been gradually building up due to the state legislature, making Minnesota even safer than it historically has been.
