Episode description

Connecticut has long been a safe state for abortion, with the Connecticut legislature having enshrined the Roe standard into state law back in 1990. This year, Governor Ned Lamont signed legislation and executive orders that would ensure anyone in the state has the right to an abortion, including a legal protection shield. Governor Lamont has promised no politician will get between a person and their doctor. And in a new set of laws, Connecticut has expanded abortion care to mid-level practitioners such as midwives and nurse practitioners.

Planned Parenthood runs most of the abortion providers in Connecticut, which can be found on AbortionFinder.org. Through the Husky Program, abortion is funded for all low-income Connecticut residents.
