Episode description

Many first heard of 'Big Brother' after reading the book 1984 in school or borrowing a copy from a friend. George Orwell's book published in 1949 was meant to be a social science fiction piece that detailed a ruling party that constantly monitored, censored, and controlled its citizens. In this week's episode of Fact Check, La Crosse County Republican Party Chair Bill Feehan compares the story published more than 70 years ago to society today.
